A pipe in our bathroom was leaking and we called Team Plumbing to fix it yesterday. Their tech came out the same day within the provided time window and fixed it in a matter of minutes. They also cleaned up everything before they left. I am beyond pleased with the job done and will certainly return to them if I need any plumbing related help in the future. Richards Rooter and Plumbing has great reviews but my experience was disappointing. First, it was $250 to even come to our apartment building (which would then be applied towards the repair.) Then it was $750 (so an additional $500) to cut open the wall and find the leak, even though I correctly identified where the hot water pipe was leaking based on feeling a warm spot on the wall.

Richard suggested a temporary clamp for another $500 (though he said it’d be free if it didn’t work) and coming back to fix it the next day (it was 2:30pm). I asked if it could just be fixed today and had to leave for an appointment and he set about cutting open more of the wall to see the extent of the corrosion. By the time I came back at 4:30pm, he’d put on the temporary clamp which didn’t fully stop the leak (still requesting $500 for it) and said he could fix it at 9am for $2000 with the clamp $500 going towards it (so $1500 more).

I felt like the charges were really high, especially since water was still leaking into the units below. The way Richard seemed more focused on getting paid than actually fixing the leak made me feel like he was taking advantage of the situation and didn’t seem to care about water dripping into people’s homes.

Later that evening, another resident called their own plumber unbeknownst to me and had him fix the leak that night (for $600). I texted Richard as soon as I learned of this so as not to waste his time and he got a little salty, texting things like “And we have a contract if that means anything to you” even though he only wrote an estimate for the repair.

All in all, Richard was available, communicative, and showed up when called, but he was ineffective, expensive, and then snarky when he didn’t get his way. He couldn’t fix two pinhole leaks (even temporarily) for $1250. He would have charged an additional $1500 to do a job that someone else did for $600. I only hope my experience informs others.

Prompt n fair prices for basic plumbing need

I am a repeat customer for Ninja Plumber. They always do an amazing job, are priced fairly and don't do work unless it is necessary. Shout out to Hector for all of his great service!

INCOMPETENT and UNETHICAL are the two best words to describe my experience with Morganized Plumbing and its owner, Morgan Spiegel.

Morganized cut the water lines to my house without my authorization. Morgan personally admitted to me that he knew what he did was wrong, but justified his actions by saying that the neighbor who asked him to do it was a long-standing client of his, and she didn't like the fact that my water pipes were visible. How crazy is that? It sounds like he is saying that he can be bribed or persuaded to do anything?

Morgan also lied to my tenants about how long the water would be off, by saying that it would only be a short while. However, due to screw-ups by Morgan and his guys, the water was off for the bulk of the day. When the water finally was turned back on, there was so much dirt and mud in the lines that it literally took two hours to flush them out because Morgan's incompetent plumbers also somehow let the debris flow into the water heater.

My tenants had to cancel their plans on a Friday night and stay home, while Morgan removed the debris that he let enter the line. Morgan promised to compensate my tenants for all of the inconveniences he caused, but then refused to honor his agreement.

I would never entrust Morgan and his incompetent guys to work on my house, as he clearly lacks both skill and integrity.

There are much better options for plumbers, so I highly suggest that you save yourself the heartache and disappointment, and go with a different plumber.

Christian was timely, very nice and knowledgeable. He diagnosed our issue and resolved the issue.

DO NOT USE MIKE DIAMOND PLUMBING. I hired them to install a water filter system. Unknown to me, they installed a very old model and the filters made by the company are no longer made. Therefore, my system was out of date in a few months. I called the manager and he refused to do anything about it. They used old cheap parts that were out of date they became useless in a few months. My advice is to never use this company.

2/6/18 As an update to this posting. For the first time since Ritz came to install a new garbage disposal, I ran the dishwasher, only to find that after the cycle finished, the water remained in the bottom of the dishwasher. I called Ritz to have them come back for the third time, now they tell me it's a draining hose and it will cost 375.00. I called another plumber, the fixed the problem, the cost was $150.00. How can it happen that Ritz can come out to install a new disposal knowing it would need a draining hose in order for the dishwasher to work. How are they still in business. Please see BBB. (If there are any positive reviews on this company, it is a family member.)
