Bryant Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric Plumber
Update:3/5Given the story below, I’m not comfortable giving anything higher than a 3/5. You will see why. HOWEVER, after a member of management just reached out to me (yes, he called me after seeing my review) to make things right, it was only right for me to come back and share my new story.Claude in the Lexington office called me less than a day after publishing my review. We discussed the situation for about 10 minutes, with no interruption, defense, or question. I genuinely feel that I was listened to, and was happy with the outcome we arrived at.Claude is the definition of “professional.” This experience was by far 5/5.For more info on how we got here:ORIGINAL REVIEW:1/5GET A SECOND OPINION. I have contemplated writing a review over the last week or so, as I really don’t think one person’s experience speaks for an entire company.... but the more I think about it, the angrier I get, and don’t want anyone to fall for this scam.My issue started a few weeks ago, during the seasons first heat wave. Our AC was running constantly, but not cooling the house. So, desperate to get our system checked out, I called Bryant (who had previously done a seasonal inspection we were very happy with).Later that day, a representative came to my house, to inspect the unit. After about 10 minutes outside at my heat pump, the rep came back inside with the unfortunate news that we had 2 options. “A system tear down and recharge” from approximately 1800-4000, or a “new unit around 10,500.”But he was quick to ensure me he could be back in the morning to install the unit.Weary of what I had just heard, I called a local “small company” who, although put me on a bit of a wait, came later that week for a second opinion. After his thorough inspection, outside with the heat pump and at the furnace, came in with the news that the system was “over charged” and the system was not running due to a safety switch that had been tripped. He promptly adjusted the charge and sat with me for about an hour to make sure it was cooling properly. It was.I explained to my new HVAC pro, the story I was left with from Bryant and he was outraged. Not only did the REAL fix not require any parts, it cost me 59.00 for a service call. He stated that “whoever came before me must not have spent any time looking, because everyone should check the charge first.”Long story short, I must have gotten the commission based sales rep to look at my unit, who was desperate to install a new one the next morning. CALL THE SMALL GUY... and save yourself 10,441.00.I will NEVER recommend or call Bryant again. If a Bryant representative reads this, check your records. I “was” a verified customer, with a service call, on the evening of Monday June 13.Do better.
