Best Electrical Fuse Changing in Indianapolis IN
I’m not really sure where to begin…I have used this company for years and have always been satisfied with the service. They have friendly technicians who seem to genuinely care and I was always a fan of their SHAPE Plan.Recently, my furnace stopped working. The first technician said it was a blown fuse, switched it to emergency heat to get me through the night and stated another tech would be back tomorrow to locate the short that caused the blown fuse. I was expecting a relatively simple and not too costly fix.Upon further examination the following day by a different tech, I was told there were burn marks, cracks in heat duct exchange and I needed a whole new system. I was told it wasn’t even safe to turn it back on. With temps in the single digits coming that night, I was now in a pressure situation that I wasn’t expecting, nor prepared for. As I was presented my options, I also tried to do research on the fly as fast as I could. Ultimately, I was given prices that seemed crazy high to me, but I didn’t really have the time to do the research I wanted to do given the situation I thought I was in (single digit temps, heat unsafe to turn on, single parent with 2 kids, not really time to dealwith this newfound crisis ). I talked through things with the technician and rep as best I could. While I felt like I was about to pay a ton of money, I was making the best decision with the info I had.I really liked the representative from Mr. Quik and hope that everything was being presented honestly and scare tactics weren’t being used; nor was I being recommended something I didn’t need. But after now having more time to process things and talk to multiple other companies and even HVAC company owners, the consensus is that I paid way more than I should have, the unit isn’t that great and this might be something that occurs frequently with this company and within the industry. It honestly pains me to believe any of this is true. But I have to wonder why would any of these people with whom I have mutual connections with, have been proven to be trustworthy and aren’t getting any money from me (and know that) be telling me a lie?It really is hard to write this review because the entire staff at Mr. Quik is kind and professional. It just leaves such a bad taste in my mouth to hear that I paid upwards of double for a product that might not even be that good or that I didn’t even really need.What’s done is done and maybe this is a life lesson. I really just want to have what I feel like is a good unit at a fair price from a company that I’ve been a client of for a long time. I don’t feel like that’s asking anything unreasonable.
