I was a Peterman Brother's Club Member for 2 years and just cancelled my membership. Story below but long story short, they are price gaugers.So my garbage disposal broke and I called Peterman Brother's to have them take a look at it. While I was at work they came over to the house to take a look. They determined it needed to be replaced. Before my 7 month pregnant wife could even call me, the 2 technicians were already getting it out of the truck and were installing it and got it done in 20 minutes.For a $150 garbage disposal, they charged us $650 dollars for install. That is after the 15 percent discount you get from being a member. So if someone wasn't a member, they would charge you almost $700.I couldn't believe it, there had to be some mistake. So I called the next day to the Peterman Member line. I didn't hear back from customer service for 2 weeks. When I was on the phone, they told me they charge a flat rate for any repair. Doesn't matter if it takes 20 minutes or 2 hours.Talking with other professionals in the plumbing business, I realized that I had been taken advantage of with every repair they have ever done for me.Please shop around for quotes. The club is not worth it and they will upcharge you at every turn. I hope and pray this doesn't happen to anyone else. Thank you if you have read this whole thing and God bless you.
