I was told that they charge by the job and not by the hour. I should have stopped there. However I decided to let them show in person so I could get an estimate. Within two minutes I was given a quote for just over $1100, for a two hour install; this was only for installation since I provided the pump. I paid the $60 service fee and declined the service.After calling back and explaining that my time was wasted asking why I couldn't have been giving this estimate or any information as to the cost (since it is a flat rate) over the phone the service manager called me. He let me get about a minute into my story before he cuts me off by saying I hate to be rude but then goes on a minute long tirade. He questioned any plumbers competence who could give me rough estimate over the phone. I called around and within 20 minutes found two other plumbers (smaller businesses) who gave me a range of prices both of which were $400-$500 less expensive.
