I might not be the typical user of Instant Plumbing... in this case, I already knew the issue.
They arrived on time and as promised. I showed them the issue... described the problem (and solution)... and they agreed! No arguments. No oh let's try this or that. No maybe we should send a camera down there. -- in other words, no nonsense at all -- no wasted time nor unwarranted expense.
Now, I'm not saying that, had they disagreed with me in my diagnosis, that they wouldn't have said so (and I would have welcomed listening to them in such a case)... just saying that they agreed with my conclusion... and went RIGHT to work... and took care of it in 30 minutes... and THAT was THAT. (also they were super friendly)
I have dealt with other plumbers in similar situations. Oh... well... we'll have to send a camera down there [at a $150 extra cost] or we can't even BEGIN!; oh... your pipes are too old... the only thing we can recommend [or offer] is a complete sewage pipe replacement; etc.
At least from my perspective/experience/knowledge, my understanding of my 68-year-old system, and of today's particular situation, it is VERY REFRESHING to have a company come in, listen to me, examine the situation, agree, and no waste time just taking care of it.
Both they and I realize that EVENTUALLY the entire sewage system of my house will need to be replaced... but, also, they realize that I just want this for now. No arguments. No upsells. Just in and out quickly.
And I really appreciate that they can read my expectations so quickly... and cooperate with them.
