Her solution was to quit using the dishwasher.Now, 12 years later it's time for a new dishwasher. Done, a new dishwasher and it has the same problem. It won't drain. What's the real problem?As it turns out, the plumber who installed the garbage disposal connected the hose from the dishwasher to the garbage disposal without knocking out the knock out. Hence, the dishwasher did not drain.Twelve years ago Mom was charged $554.30 for a new garbage disposal and its installation. That seemed exorbitant at the time - still does. It also cost her not having the use of her dishwasher for 12 years - not knowing it's malfunction was actually the result of an improperly installed garbage disposal. Now add the cost of a new dishwasher.That was one mighty expensive garbage disposal!

We called Antonio out to inspect the pipes of an old house before we purchased it. We needed to know what the pipes were made of. The report he gave us said “probably ABS”. We were concerned with this report because we cannot put our money into “probably”. He said he was sure it was ABS but refused to put it in writing. We worked with him to come out again, this time my husband was watching him work. He said he was feeding the camera under the house and my husband pointed out that his camera was clearly going in the opposite direction of house. My husband is not a plumber but he had to explain to Antonio how the direction of the pipes worked. Turns out the pipes were NOT made of ABS and lied to us about going under the house in the first place. Then when we asked him to check out the pipes from inside the house he refused saying “his camera was not good enough”. I would highly recommend not hiring him!
