We had a water pipeline break in our home in the master bed and bath. Our insurance company referred us to Stan’a Plumbing
and we paid this company to do some emergency repairs. Afterwards, we were doing repairs from the damage and we decided to do some remodeling. So we advised Stan’s plumbing to be the company we would call to finish up the plumbing upon the time our contractor was ready for the plumber to come back in and finish up the plumbing aspect.
I called Stan’s plumbing first thing this morning and Ray answered the phone. I was explaining the reason for my call and that we would like them to come out this afternoon to finish the plumbing details.
Ray, who informed me that HE was the owner and HE did not go on house calls. He said, “ I have 5-6 guys out there doing service calls.”
He was so proud of himself. I wanted to say, “Well, aren’t YOU the big dawg, the big man on campus!” I guess he thought I would be really impressed. I was not.
So we proceeded our conversation, and there were times when he was cutting out. I couldn’t really hear what he was saying. When I asked him a question to clarify, he started talking down to me. (mind you, I have a Master’s Degree)
Afterwards. Ray barked, “We can’t get out there until Tuesday!” I asked myself, “Is THIS the way this company talks to their PAYING customers?”
I have also had similar conversations with “Jolene” who sometimes answers the phones. She is not polite, professional, or kind and compassionate. She is like a grizzly woman who thinks the caller
(again, paying customers) is infiltrating on HER time. It is simply amazing.
I have owned a number of businesses and I KNOW paying customers should not be talked to or treated the way Ray and Jolene treat people.
So, in conclusion, I advise everyone to contact another plumbing service who will treat you with respect. There is PLENTY of competition out there who may understand that paying customers are the backbone of your business, NO MATTER how big you THINK YOU ARE.
I cancelled my appointment today with this company because I found another company who treated me with respect. I am also going to call my insurance agent and company to take these incorrigible people and company off their vendor list.
