Let me begin by saying I would rate this company a Zero Stars if I could. Im normally one that has a wide range of acceptability and would rate 3 to 5 stars if satisfied. This company installed my Plumbing and Heat and Air for a new house I purchased. That said here is my review.
Issue
#1 Plumbing in the house is run in all 3/4 PEX. I have 1 3/4 PEX line that feeds the entire house. I did not notice this when we purchased the house. If you try to run 2 sinks or a shower and an individual sprinkler outside you get a reduction in pressure to where you cant do both. I checked the pressure switch and its set correctly, just low flow through 3/4 PEX.
#2 We have had our shower faucet dripping almost every day we have lived in the house ( 9 Months ) we have called them out im guessing 6 or 7 times and they come out, stretch a spring and say its fixed every time. Now we did have a issue with some dirt and had the well raised but this is the only faucet that has dripped and has had to be serviced like this. We have a trouble call in for the 7th or 8th repair visit in 9 months.
#3 The Air ducts had insulation in them and when the heater would run insulation would blow out and cover our floor and beds with tiny bits of insulation. Very annoying but its gotten better.
#4 The Duct work was not supported very well and fell and popped loose from the register. Causing us to have a hot room and all the lost energy going to heat and cool the attic.
#5 The Heat and Air was installed in December. Any HVAC tech will tell you that you cant properly charge a system in freezing conditions. I had them come out and service my Air Conditioner knowing it was way low on refrigerant. The tech said it appears to be working fine but we will add some more and see how that works out. They added 0.5 pound of R410A. Well, on the 100 degree days it was over 85 in the kitchen and master bedroom. My wife's 91 year old grandma lives with us and we needed it fixed ASAP. I called a reputable company to come out and found that the system was only half charged. He put in 3 more pounds of R410A, checked super heat and subcooling and my house now stays 73 all day, what we have the thermostat set to. My unit requires about 8 pounds of R410A and I only had 4.5 pounds in it. Now, because I had someone else service the A/C they notified me that it voided their warranty.
I hope you get a chance to read this and make the right decision and call someone else. If you are stuck dealing with them, know that you may be treated exactly like I was. The warranty company Pro-Home of Oklahoma is of absolutely no help also. Stay away from Harvest Homes, this company does a lot of their homes.
