Installed my Tesla charger. Very easy to start the process online, and the staff was friendly and professional. They needed to make some changes to my electrical panel, and seemed very proficient. The work was done efficiently and my appointment was made relatively quickly. They worked with me to find the best spot for the charger. I recommend this company.

James Garcia made it it so easy. Very dependable great communication. Helped me to choose the right product for the project followed up to make sure the job was done correctly. I have used Electric Connection regularly to do new wiring in my office, an outlet for an electric dryer 220 V and panel repair and an EV charger for my car. After uploading the requested information, this company provided a detailed cost estimate and a very reasonable price for the permit. The installation went well and completed per the cost estimate, they also coordinated to have the City inspection conducted which was very convenient.

They came and installed my EV charger (Tesla Wall Connector). They walked me through the paperwork I had to submit to get the permit from the city, which helped saved me some money, but the city's response was much slower than I would have liked. Make sure you get your permit.m!

Fabio and Bob were my contacts via phone and email respectively. The technicians came to me and had uniforms that were clearly recognizable. Very respectful and even offered to look over a couple concerning outlets of mine within my home. I will definitely be asking them back for help with those. They also had to run out to get one part they needed since my breaker box required it. Appt wasn't more than an hour. I made sure I had the EV charger equipment beforehand for the installation.

This company was fast, responsive, and did clean work. They even credited back a slight overcharge they caught without me asking for it. I'm not an electrician and I wouldn't have known about it. Great customer service! Highly recommend!

By far the best electrician company in LA. I called with a problem and instead of just booking another visit James Garcia decided to ask me questions about the problem over the phone. He spend 2 hours on the phone with me after 5PM to help me fix my issue for free. I was sending him photos and he was guiding me through the steps I need to take to solve it. 1 year elective follow up EV charging plug and connection to panel set price. Great job with list of what they did after. I prefer safety rather than being cheap and risking things when I have 2 cars using it almost everyday or every other day. Things can happen with that much usage.

Got an outlet, breaker and wiring installed for an EV charger. Chris provided great service and work quality. He explained everything very thoroughly. Overall a great experience.

The deluge of rain caused water in an outdoor receptacle to short out the circuit breaker, leaving parts of our house without power, including the modem and router for internet service. The Electric Connection was recommended by a neighbor. I called and we had an appointment on the same day. The electricians quickly identified the problem, disconnected and covered the problematic receptacle, replaced the circuit breaker and we had service within 30 minutes of their arrival. The cost was fair and not expensive. I will use The Electric Connection the next time I have an electrical issue and highly recommend them to all.

We used the Electric Connection again in the end of 2022 to install a dedicated outlet for an outdoor spa, and Bob and his team were fantastic. They were able to fit us in on the same day (!) and they were so flexible with us on some last minute scheduling issues.
The quality of their work was excellent as always and they even made some recommendations to save us some money. We are customers for life!

During the process of purchasing my *new* (1938) home, I discovered I needed to do a complete rewire and upgrade the service from a 40amp panel to 200. The deal hinged upon whether I could afford this cost on top of down payment/closing/etc. Without the Electric Connection, I wouldn't have been able to own my first home. Allow me to explain!

I needed an estimate ASAP during my inspection period. The first company I could get to come out to quote was based in Manhattan Beach...whelp, I got a Manhattan Beach quote. The electrician just took a 2 minute look at my panel from the outside, asked the square footage, and plugged it into his equation. He quoted me $45,000 for panel upgrade and complete rewire. Not knowing how much a rewire should typically cost - I panicked. How was I going to pay for a rewire that cost more than my closing costs/down payment!?

Luckily, the Electric Connection stepped in the next day and was able to properly inspect the work needed. Hugo was excellent - he took a look inside the panel, and had me escort him around the house so he could look at the fixtures/outlets. He was able to outline all the work that would be done and quoted me a fair price, a fraction of the first quote.

They worked with my schedule - and was able to get started 4 days from initial quote. The electricians Luis and Andy were amazing. They took great pride in their work. They even taught me some important electric safety tips. They were able to do such a great job - that the work passed city inspection on the first time! I can't thank Electric Connection enough - if it wasn't for them, I truly wouldn't have been able to purchase my first home.

Oh, and let's not forget about my man Fabio. He was the middle man for all communication between myself and the electricians. He provided daily updates, let me know next steps, and even walked me through schedule of inspections. Anytime I had a question, he quickly answered via email or phone.

Installed 240V NEMA outlet for EV charging. The crew had a bit of an issue with their van. So, they arrived a bit later than expected. However, this was communicated promptly. Once they arrived, they did fantastic job and left clean area.

Luis and his apprentice did a spectacular job. Very efficient and patched up the holes made. They both were nice and professional throughout the whole process. They did the work in less than an hour and the cleanup was done when I went outside.

I have used this company twice now. Once several years back to install to 2 wall sconce type light fixtures where none existed before. Their price was reasonable and they did a great job. The second time was this week, where they came out to deinstall a chandelier, and “clean up” my electrical panel box. The electrical panel had been left “messy”, by prior electricians taking short cuts and not properly securing or wrapping loose wires. The Electric Connection was meticulous and fixed everything in an orderly fashion. They charged $177 for the work they completed, which I thought was a good value and fair. I will use them for all my electrical needs. They had about a 4 day lead time.

They have installed EV chargers for me, run new circuits in my house, planned installation of infrared heaters--they truly do it all when it comes to electrical. Added a 240v outlet for my EV plug-in and was a bigger job then originally anticipated but the technicians still managed to finish the job within a few hours! don't think they are the lowest cost option but you get what you pay for in terms of good quality service and end product. They are also very responsive to feedback, concerns and pace of execution is super fast! I would highly recommend them!

I called the Electric Connection to get my Tesla Wall Charger installed. They were quick to respond and the work was very professional. My wall charger is now up and running and they even saved me money when they came out and did the install by installing the wall charger closer to where my car is parked. Definitely recommend!

I called 4 electricians listed on the Tesla website to install a NEMA 14-50 240 volt outlet. I was asked to send pictures of my subpanel by 3 of them and one set up an appointment to give me a free estimate. One company never called me back. One company said it could not be done and I was stuck with my 110v outlet and a charging rate of 3 miles per hour. One company said they could set up a separate connection with the power used for my AC. They would install a switch and I could charge my car or use my AC but I could not do both at the same time. This awful solution would cost me about $1,300.

At the Electric Connection I spoke to the owner, Kim, who said the job was not simple and it would require that some breakers be changed. He explained exactly what needed to be done and said all their work was guaranteed for life. Prior to the install date I called about getting a permit. I was told I could get the permit myself and was told exactly what to tell the planning people in my city. I was given the option to have the Electric Connection pull the permit but that would be an additional $150 plus the cost of the permit. I opted to get the permit myself and it was easy. The installer arrived on the appointed day on time. I was called when he was on his way and told the location from where he was coming. The amount of time it took for him to arrive seemed appropriate. Upon arrival he looked at the location and we discussed where the plug should be placed. One hour later he was done. The plug is flush with my wall and the work area was left as clean as it was upon his arrival. The plug works great. I have received final inspection from the city and I could not be happier. I can recommend Electric Connection (and as of today have already recommended them twice) without reservations.

My 30+ year old panel needed to be replaced and a Tesla wall charger hooked up. After getting quotes from electricians who weren't savvy with EV chargers, I reached out to the Electric Connection since they were recommended by folks in the Tesla forums. Their quote was considerably less than what I'd gotten elsewhere. They even knew about my version of the Model 3 which gets the same charge from a 220v wall plug as the Wall Charger, so they recommended I not purchase it. I did anyway since I like the design :D but it was great that they knew the system's capabilities. The installation was seamless, they ran conduit along my garage so the charger right next to my charge port, and even helped with the not-so-fun permitting process. These. Are. The. Folks.

I am long overdue writing this review. I have used this company for several years. It started when I needed to have two electrical panels replaced on a Santa Monica property that has a house and 3 one-bedroom apartment units in back. I interviewed 5 other companies at that time and felt the most confident hiring this company. They did an excellent job with the panel replacements. Since that time, I have had 3 bathroom exhaust fan installations done on the same property (the buildings were so old that the bathroom never had fans). The most recent installation was done in the house bathroom. It wasn't an easy installation because the house was built in 1930, has lath and plaster walls and ceilings with no access to the attic. They had to route the exhaust duct for the fan through the outside wall through the stucco. The house bath just had a light fixture in the ceiling, now it has a combination light/heater/exhaust fan. The job turned out quite well.

Prior to calling The Electric Connection, I got a quote from another company for some things I wanted to do around my house, including recessed lighting in the kitchen and office, replacing some switches, installing a new ceiling fan, and more. It was over $20k!!! In my house in the midwest, the same amount of work would've been about a quarter of that. I figured I just wasn't up on Los Angeles prices -- I decided to reach out to The Electric Connection to get another quote, but thought I'd likely have to put the work off. After filling out the online form, I immediately got a call from Bob who was super helpful and gave me rough estimate pricing over the phone -- $6k! I was super happy to hear this as it was way more in line with what I was expecting, but you still never know what the total will end up coming to in actuality. When their technicians came out (Manny and Jacob), they were prompt, professional, and thorough. When they totaled the actuals for the job, it was exactly right ($6k), no surprises. They were super knowledgeable, explained dependencies to me, and worked quickly and cleanly. I cannot recommend The Electric Connection enough -- fair pricing, expert electricians, and solid work. I will be a repeat customer!

They installed Tesla Gen 3 wall charger they finished in 30 minutes and never even turned off the power. They were professional and punctual. Was told between 8 am and 9 am they pulled up at 8:55 and was done by 9:30.

Service was great! And job was done professionally and quick! The guys that came where great and I did do a lot of research before and I’m happy I found this company. And they where not expensive which was the best thing! The only thing I wish I knew was the 50 dollar discount for new customers before hand so I was able to get it a little cheaper but work was done great no complaints! I have used the services of The Electric Connection for many years and have never been disappointed. They book the earliest appointment, their electricians arrive on time within the 2 hour frame and quickly get down to business. They are professional, thorough in explaining what needs to be done and what they are doing. I had a simple replacement of an old lighting fixture, and had them check out my outdoor motion security lighting which requires my purchasing a new fixture. I will call them again without hesitation to have it installed.

I HAVE NEVER FELT MORE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF! I need to have a Tesla wall charger installed at my house and found this company on Yelp. I spoke to Bob multiple times about the details of the work and even sent him photos, and after looking up my house on Google maps, he provided me with 3 different estimates. He told me to use the last estimate, and that that would be the final price I would pay, since he was able to calculate the feet of wire needed from my electrical panel to the site of the charger over Google maps...but I was wrong! And he's worked here for 20 years! The day I was supposed to have my charger installed, the guys who showed up told me that the job would require 22 MORE feet of wire than I was originally told, which makes my final price 56% MORE! So I called the company and spoke with Tony, who had been managing my appointment. I explained the situation and my frustration, and he, too, was able to see the previous 3 estimates that were emailed to me. But he was unable to help me and passed me off to his manager, who was equally not helpful or accommodating. And you'd think that if her team had been doing this for 20 years, their measurements and estimates would be pretty precise! But that's not even where this ends. After I hung up with her, she called the electricians who were at my house to better understand the situation. After they spoke to her, then then told me that my job required more than the extra 22 feet of wire. So now, after taking off work to be available for this installation, I have received 5 DIFFERENT ESTIMATES from this company! A company who has been around for over 20 yearsIf and that prides itself on being experts, yet somehow provided me multiple quotes that were apparently all wrong and about 60% under. It feels like predatory tactics to win my business, only to raise prices on me once they were at my house. So if you couldn't already tell, I sent them home, Tesla charger NOT installed, and will continue my search for a more accurate and professional electrical company.

I emailed and called The Electric Connection to set up a Charge Point Home Flex. Everything was amazing. I had sent emails and pictures, but kept forgetting to buy the Charge Point unit. Once I did about 3 weeks later they came in and set everything up perfectly. The team was very professional and patient with my inquiries, and the set up went perfect.

The team told me exactly what would happen and they installed the unit in the most efficient way. I wanted the unit on the opposite side of the house where the breaker was and they made that happen. I am very pleased, will now contact The Electric Connection for any electric related needs I have for my home in the future.

The electric connection was fantastic in installing a Nema 14-50 outlet for our new Tesla. Before calling, I had gotten quotes from other Tesla certified electricians and all told me I needed a new panel and there wouldn’t be room. Then I called the electric connection and talked to Bob. Bob ran the load calculation after I sent him pictures and informed me there was in fact plenty of room and they could do the job with no problem and I didn’t need a new breaker. Having an old breaker, I was concerned about being up sold to buy a new one in this process. Which is exactly what others did and what Bob and the electric connection did NOT do!! They were extremely honest, up front, professional and on the day they installed it, Manny was fantastic. Extremely nice, efficient and professional! I would absolutely use the electric connection for any of your electrical needs, especially for an electric vehicle charger!

Installed Tesla charger. I had a recessed panel and there was no damage to the stucco and everything looked amazing. After they left, we saw a minor issue and they promptly came back the next day to ensure the job was done right. Would definitely use again!

The EC did a Tesla 3rd Generation install for our home. Great work done in a timely manner. Many neighbors have used them and they all provide similar feedback. May be a touch more expensive than others, but worth the added cost considering the complexity of the work.

This company does business professionally, from start to finish. Excellent communication at the outset. Bob asked for what he needed to assess if my electrical panel could support a Tesla Wall Connector, and give me an accurate quote for the cost. He was straight with me about how long it would take to schedule my installation. It was two weeks out because so many people are installing them. He have me an appointment, and then, a couple of days before it, asked if they could come a few hours earlier. They notified me when they were on their way, and arrived on-time and ready to work. Jose did a perfect job of installing it exactly how I wanted it, and was out in about an hour. (It was a basic installation right next to my electrical panel with a minimum of wire run, but it went like clockwork). I cannot recommend Electric Connection strongly enough. This company came highly recommended. At the beginning they dropped the ball in a handoff from one person to another but I persisted and I'm glad I did.
I had a low voltage system that pretty much died and left us with wall switches that didn't work and left us in the dark exacerbated by the end of daylight savings time!
They came out and bid the job and I was pleased with the quote, but also got a quote from Powell which was 3x's more $$$.
The Electric Connection was able to start this 4 day job fairly quickly. Ramiro and Juan showed up and we're WONDERFUL in every way. Just the right amount of communication at the start and end of the day and as things came up. Wherever they worked, there was always a drop cloth to protect the floors and plastic sheeting on the walls to protect the area. And they were always sweeping up around them.
When we encountered issues there would be a quick conference and they would clearly explain all our options. They identified a few problem areas and again explained our options.
They ended up installing a new sub panel and running new wire to most of the wall switches in the house. Further, all the wall switches had to be replaced and cut out larger to replace the old low voltage hardware with slightly larger standard hardware. Each one was patched so well with literally less than an inch around the faceplate. They added a dedicated circuit for our microwave. We ended up adding outside lighting and with the added work finished in 3 days instead of 4.
I really can't say enough about how pleasant Ramiro and Juan were and the great job they did! I'm so grateful to have full functionality back in our house.

I'm a first time Tesla car owner and I needed a 14-50 receptacle to charge it. I used Tesla's certified list of electrical companies to install it. First on the list is The Electric Connection, I went on their website and answered few questions about the service that I need. They replied right away through email and give me details about the service which is really great of them. Very professional in all terms like answering my questions and giving some insights in some of my electrical concerns. So I made an appointment, 2 guys came on time Eddy and Carlos. It was a 2 hr. Job but they finished it in less than an hour and a half. They were quick and efficient and polite in answering my questions. Nice guys and commendable! I'm definitely going with The Electric Connection for my future electrical projects. More power to you guys!

I would recommend highly. First I called the office to discuss what I was looking for and Bob, gave estimates over the phone, which I thought were very reasonable. They were very accommodating on scheduling an appointment based on my work schedule. Brandon was my electrician and he was so professional and explained the job. During the change to a new ceiling fan he found that the box was not correct. We discuss and proceeded with an new box.
The other job was installing a new ceiling fan.. Brandon wanted me to know that it would require cutting the walls open to wire. Also patched the holes. He was persistent when the blades didn't quite match to the hardware. Tested everything before he left. Left everything clean.

My project is a little challenging because of the distance of my electrical panel to the garage but He was able to find a way to install and hide the wirings at the same time. A little bit on the pricey side but I would rather pay to make sure the quality of the work done.

The team from Electric Connection was great. We had an impossible assignment to put conduit under the eaves of our two story home which has a slatted, aluminum patio cover. After discussing other routing options, the team decided to stay under the eaves and figured out a way to safely install the conduit. It was an all day job and the guys were pleasant and positive the whole time. They worked right into the dark to get the installation complete, and I couldn't be happier with the result.

I have to admit that I was skeptical at first because the bid for the job was done completely over the phone and email. I was concerned that once someone got on site they would say, Sorry, but you will need to double the price to get this done. But that was not the case. The final bill was exactly what was estimated and, again, I couldn't be happier.

This is the 2nd time I've hired the Electric Connection in two years. Great company. The first was to install a ceiling fan and additional outlets. Now they have relocated some outlets, added two dedicated circuits to my balcony, added additional switches to my breaker box, and run wiring from the balcony to the breaker box. I really appreciate the multiple phone conversations I had with James, prior to booking them for the job. He helped me trouble shoot my issues and gave me options for a solution over the phone. The technicians who came to give me an estimate were on time, wrote notes and sent me photos with details of the work they were recommending. The actual two technicians who did the work were fast, efficient, and did not make a big mess. When it comes to Electrical work you get what you pay for. Go with the pros.

Here's my honest experience with this company 2 years ago :

I wish I wrote this earlier: I hired this company 2 years ago to install my level 2 wall charger because their reviews were good and they had the earliest appointment. They sent out a nice guy named Chris to install my wall charger. 3 months later, my model 3 wasn't charging. I found out the wall charger circuit board was fried. They sent Chris out to fix it. I called Tesla support and they asked for the electrician to call them. He didn't. He adjusted the amp and puts in a new circuit board. He refused to call Tesla and talked to his secondary boss instead. Another week later, my circuit board was heating up up. I talked to Tesla and they said the electrician should have called them. Electrical Connection sends Chris out again. He still refused to call Tesla, talking to his secondary boss instead. They both give me the run around saying that my wall charger was working fine even though my circuit board was running hot. I had to go through Tesla and they advised that the electrician call them so they can adjust some settings on the wall charger. I finally had to go the head of Electrical Connection to get things sorted out. She was nice enough to tell Chris to call Tesla. On his 4th visit last year, Chris finally called Tesla, adjusted the settings per Tesla's reccs and finally fixed the wall charger. As a customer and client, I SHOULD NOT BE CALLING TESLA MYSELF! Don't be cocky. All you needed to do was call Tesla. I even gave them the phone number and the information on how to adjust the settings. I shouldn't be doing that. Chris, you could have saved yourself time (my time as well), the hassle, and driving if you had just called Tesla about the wall charger the first time. I should not have to call your boss to do your job. A simple phone call would have fixed everything. Don't ignore your Tesla specialist. They are just a phone call away.

By the way, they charge $125 for maintenance.

The Electric Connection was great. Very friendly and professional, helped us in a major way. They replaced the breakers on the outside of the house. The breakers were old and weak. They also tested the outlets that were causing the breaker to trip. Overall great experience, we will defiantly use them again.

The service received was great! The charger was installed in less than a hour and they left my space in a better condition than I presented it to them.

Only reason I gave it a 4 star is because I felt as if I was annoying the initial salesperson with my calls and questions. The salesperson was never outright rude just a tad bit dismissive. Other that small, minor hiccup everything else was perfect!

This company knows what they are doing. Installed a Tesla wall charger at my home. A couple months later when I finally got the car, my wife noticed a buzzing from the breaker when it was charging. These guys came out to inspect, found the part that was faulty, and came back and replaced it. I've been in a position where industry workers don't believe a homeowner or act skeptical. Although the part being bad is rare, they still took what I said seriously, tested and measured it and got the replacement done. I'd definitely go back to them for any electrical needs. Solid and efficient work. I called them up, got a quote, and they happened to be available to do a 240V outlet install the next day. The guys that came out were polite and efficient, found the most direct route, made the fewest number of holes necessary, and patched the drywall when they were finished — I only had to sand and paint and the whole thing was done in a day. I was experiencing intermittent light flickering and localized power outages within my house, then my circuit breaker panel began to warm up and emit a burning smell. I called the Electric Connection and they were able to send out a technician the next day.
Luis arrived on time and quickly determined the problem was caused by loose wiring in the panel. He tightened up the offending wiring and then spent time to make sure all the breaker connections were also clean and secure. Luis also took a look at my main service panel to advise me on any additional issues. We had been having problems with one of our circuit breakers repeatedly tripping, and strange popping noises in the wall, but didn't know any more than that. The Electric Connection showed up, diagnosed the issue in about 15 minutes, and then fixed the problem (short-circuiting wiring in the walls) in less than half an hour. They explained everything that we asked while they were doing it, checked for other issues, tidied up perfectly (they vacuumed!) when they were done, and were just generally great the whole time. Yesterday they came to install our Juicebox EV charger. They arrived on time and quickly got to work reviewing our electrical box determining what must be done. excellent job at fixing a smoke detector which was supposed to have power coming off the light fixture. not only didnt it have power but the power was tied into to on/off switch. With a little troubleshooting they found the power source in the bathroom and ran a separate line to the smoke detector without damaging the walls except for a small hole in the bathroom to access the junction box.........Thank you Alex for for your expertise and the cost ran half of was expected .....I have used them on many occasions and find their work reliable

The Electric Connection is for sure the best Los Angeles electrician we have found. Their estimate came in $500 below other estimates we received and they stuck to it. They offered to dig the trench for the underground work, but we decided to save ourselves $350 and do it ourselves. It was just a little shy of being deep enough, so they dug down another inch with no extra charge! The city inspector was just here and said all the work is ‘excellent’.
