They may charge a little more than the big box stores but they will have those hard to find parts. My go to place for plumbing parts.

The staff here are friendly and very helpful, especially for the DIYer. They have intimate knowledge of their products and can help you get to the correct answer 10x faster than anyone at a big box store.

I purchased a flame sensor for my furnace for about 55$ from them about a month ago. I finally got to replace the part and it doesn’t work at all with my furnace even though the salesman told me that that’s the part. They don’t accept any electrical parts returns plus they charge 15% on any other returns. Found the correct part that works on Amazon for $5. Save your money and shop elsewhere.

I had an emergency situation with a toilet plunger failing and not being able to flush the commode. After going to a local hardware store they directed me to come to Schmidlin, because they were the one store that would be most likely to help. I called the store before arriving as they were set to close within 15 minutes and my ETA was 14 minutes, upon arrival I was greeted by staff. He was surprised that I had the original American Standard plunger, in fact he didn't know those parts were still around and had never seen one. He was able to get me a replacement plunger and the gaskets I would need, something for which I am grateful for as I know little to nothing about plumbing. Thank you for providing the community with top notch customer service and knowledge!!

If you need help with any heating cooling project these are the people to talk to Friendly courteous willing to go out of their way to help you find what you need place to go for those hard to find items in older homes would recommend them highly they could do an episode of This Old House!

First off, to my knowledge, it is the only supply house in the area open past 5pm. And I needed a part for my water heater. The woman on the telephone was super nice and helpful and told me they had the part I needed. In fact, when I got there, she told me to double check this and that on my water heater before I installed the part, just to make sure it wasn't something else. Turns out I did need the part and it worked as it should. I'm very grateful for Schmidlin!

Incredible experience going here, the staff are friendly, and very knowledgeable, everything is modestly priced too. I’ve been dealing with a unique plumbing issue for weeks with a non standard sink/waste pipe that needed a special p trap because the previous design no longer is produced. I went to all the major name brand stores and no one could help me figure out the parts required for a fix. 5 minutes in schmidlins and 10$ later and they had everything I needed, even gave me a couple free gaskets after I was missing one, make sure to pet the cat while you’re there.

Bought a new part from them turned out not to be exactly what needed to be done. Staff we talked to on phone extremely helpful. Had other company look at our furnace and they could not fix our problem. Called Schmidlin's guy came out took a look, was able to fix our problem within an hour.

Quickly identified parts being sought and suggested complete rebuild kit including trim. Price was excellent and faucets are like brand new. Much cheaper and easier than replacing entire faucets.

They were super friendly and helpful and had exactly what we needed. We had been to two other places before finally making it to Schmidlin, both sent us their way. If you are looking for anything plumbing, go here first!

The service staff was wonderful! I bought 1 1/4 sink plumbing bc that is what is in my house but I bought a specialty trap. They worked with me to find a way to make my fittings work. They offered to order special parts and helped me pick the right gaskets. I will be going there for all of my future plumbing needs

This is an old school plumbing and heating supply company that will have just about every part you could possibly need that you can't find it Home Depot, Lowe's, or Menards. They probably even carry the stuff they do have it Home Depot, Lowe's, and Menards. I'm not sure about the price differences but I guarantee you if there's some obscure part that you need for plumbing and heating this place will have it.

So I'm seeing one negative review and a few that are iffy. Me, I think this is the go to place for those that dare to DIY. Heads up to all, no one is a miracle worker. Do your homework best as you can. Me, I'm familiar with electrical work and hate plumbing. I don't know the names of the parts that I need. When I'm in a jam, I take a few pics with my phone and bring the old part with me to show them what I'm trying to do. They haven't failed me yet. And I'm not saying this just because a pretty girl works there. She knows what she's doing.

The guy came to check the water heater, ended up changing gas valve. Very professional an explained everything he was doing to me . Will highly recommend Schidlin plumbing & heating to any one that's having any problems .

Went in for a capacitor for my AC unit. Only store in Toledo that had the one I needed. Professional, helpful, even tested my old one for me to confirm it was bad. They have great plumbing and HVAC parts. Great people too.

Highest qualified service department store has all the hard to find parts usually in stock. They can get almost anything in a few days. They hand out there knowledge for free to save you money. They are the backbone that keeps places like Lowe's or home depot in business. Highly recommended by both companies locally.

Bob is what I imagine the perfect employee to be. He clearly takes pride in his craft. He was polite and easy to talk to, and though he is knowledgeable in this field, he didn’t talk down to me and he gave me very helpful advice. I’ll be coming back because of him.

After a wasted stop to a big box store where I was told good luck finding that, it's for old copper drain pipe , I said to myself I should go to Schmidlin, I bet they have it. Sure enough, they had EXACTLY what I needed in stock and ready to go. The counterperson was a rock-star! She was so helpful and knowledgeable. This place is an absolute gem! They are a great family run business! They're extremely honest and fair and they do not overprice. I bought a capacitor for my air conditioner, turns out that it was not the capacitor but the fan motor the new replacement needed a different size capacitor. They completely swapped out the capacitor I just bought and gave me a different one free of charge. Can't ask for anything more fair than that 👍

When in need for a part that's hard to find for a faucet they don't make anymore call Schmidlins inc. Smaller store so more personal level of service.

Enter customer experience was perfect. One phone call with zero call transfers provided cost estimate and scheduled call. Plumbing tech called asking to arrive early, inspected problem and made repair with replacement parts as opposed to replacing entire anti-freeze, anti-siphon outdoor faucet. This saved significantly on labor costs. I will definitely call Schmidlin again when plumbing service or other service is needed.

Schmidlin's is the right place to go. They have replaced my hot water tank, ran a water line to my refrigerator and just unplugged our drain. Scary since we are slab on grade. Tom has always come through for us. No job has been to big or too small. Knowledgeable, respectful, reasonably priced, and they are local.

This place is awesome. My burner was a mess and he was able to fix it up for me pretty cheap for a temporary fix. Worked until my new unit came in. Great place and nice people.

They have parts and suplies that the big box hardware stores don't even know about. If they don't have it, you don't need it.

Customer service is out of this world, needed a few parts for my old furnace, they were the only place in town that actually had them Instock. Their price was lower than what I found online as well. Picked up a couple of other random parts and got a great deal on those as well. Will definitely be coming here as long as I live in the area.

Tom and Bob did a great job and were very professional. We had a very old boiler heating system from 1966 and Tom has worked on it twice in the past. We finally decided was time for a new one. With every big expensive we’ve had in the past, there has always been some issue that made us unsatisfied. We thought we were going to have an issue with this one as well so we voiced our concerns. Tom and Bob both stayed late and made sure we were completely comfortable with everything and we very much appreciated that. This is the only company we will ever hire for HVAC and we will always request Tom. He absolutely knows his business!

Very friendly. I couldn't get a hold of them by phone so I drove to the store. It was a great experience. They wouldn't give me a quote for my project until they came to my property and took measurements. Their quote was similar to others that I had received. But they were the only company that physically came to my property and talked about options. I choose Schmidlin for my project based on my interactions with the employees, the friendliness, the knowledge and expertise. I felt comfortable with them. Kind of like... family or a friend you could trust.
