Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Dan was amazing. Showed up on time, finished the work as promised. We have never had any issues with plumbing previously and we were both nervous about getting ripped off by a company. We called numerous contracting companies and Roto Rooter was the only one that came up to give us an estimate. Throughout the entire process Dan kept us informed on what he was doing and gave us options on what could be done to fix the problem. I cant say anything about the work they do, I have no doubt it is of quality. But my experience with serve is very poor. In two occasions i was given a 4 hour time frame for them to come, and was cancelled on both occasions. Very frustrating to change plans for them twice and have nobody show up. Will not use them in the future.

Super fast and professional service! Other plumbers seemed annoyed, had service call fees, higher estimates, or just took to long. Trayvon was here within an hour and done within a hour. I had been trying to get my kitchen sink down for 3 weeks. Would definitely recommend.

I had a wonderful experience with Roto-Rooter this morning. Two men came. One was less experienced, Lamar and the other has been with the company for years, Larry. Larry let Lamar take the lead and guided him along the way. He was an excellent teacher and good mentor for Lamar. They assessed problem, gave me a fair quote, fixed the problem and gave me advice on how to prevent the problem from happening again. I would call Roto-Rooter again.

Paul showed up an hour after we called, He cam and fixed a mess that was left by Ben Franklin Plumbing, who broke a pipe by using a snake too big for the pipr, and then told us it was after and they had to leave. I spoke with the manager who, Eric, who asked me who I thought should pay for damages and expected us to pay for their people's irresponsible Paul from roto rooter felt sorry forus and gave us the best price he could. He fixed everything, didnt leave until the job was done, even though he didn't get their until 10 pm (our fault) , abd left a little after midnight. He cleared our fixed the broken pipe, gave us good advice to keep the problem from occuring in the future and was professional but personable, In Paul was our hero. If you have a problem with your pipes, call roto rooter and ask for Paul. Skip anyone else. I promise, you won't be sorry!!!,

Had an excellent experience with RotoRooter. This is unfortunately our second time needing them in the last couple months for plumbing issues (separate issues) and we’ve always been able to get an appointment quickly and at an ideal time that fits with our schedule. The service was prompt and professional and took care of the issue. We will continue to use them if we have issues in the future

The technician was professional and responsive and they did waive a cost to help me get to the root of our problem. That being said it was still a little too expensive just to snake out a sewer line in my personal opinion.

100% recommend. I went online, scheduled when I wanted someone to come out, got a call and Matt Z actually came early. I gave Matt a messy plumbing situation after we tried to do it ourselves. He gave me price point options, he wasn't pushy, and he explained everything he was doing, and why. He replaced pipes under my kitchen sink, and he replaced lead pipe in the basement and got our toilet and outside faucet working again. A week later we had him back to replace the main shut off. He was incredibly flexible considering Cleveland water didn't turn our water off the day he was scheduled. He followed through, was incredibly polite, and clearly took pride in his work.

We called on a Sunday morning and the technician Rene arrived by mid-afternoon. Rene was very pleasant,, courteous and professional. He evaluated the condition of our leaking kitchen sink pipes, plus the older disposal that had a crack in it. He presented us with a work estimate, we approved and Rene began work. He finished the job in about 2.5 hours, then cleaned up all leftover debris.

My new house leaked so of course I called Roto-Rooter! Perfect service at a fantastic price! Adam 444, my technician, was simply wonderful: kind, reassuring and did a great job. Thanks Adam! I know who to call if anything else goes wrong!

Jake was super helpful and they were able to get us in same day. Look out for the upselling (they'll try to get you to buy drain cleaners or clean out every drain in your house) but, if you stick to your guns and insist that they only do what you need, the cost was reasonable and the serviceman was friendly and competent. Plus, they enter you into a drawing to win back the cost of your bill if you write a review like this one! (our guy was Jake 807, and he did go the extra mile and was very communicative, so it's not JUST entering the drawing that got me to do this... although I probably never would have otherwise.) I recommend.

James went above and beyond for us!! Saved our family from a huge disaster waiting to happen!! Was beyond professional and courteous!! Cleaned up work spaces and left the home as it was before he arrived!!Would definitely recommend for any plumbing work and will definitely be back for our future needs as well. We were incredibly happy with Roto-Rooter work and professionalism. They were on time and Aaron (1012) was extremely polite and knowledgeable. Aaron took the time to explain the process and even worse case scenarios. When the job was completed it looked like Aaron wasn't even here; if we need plumbing assistance in the future I wouldn't hesitate to contact them.

Wow what an amazing service. They came in a few hours of me calling them, and provided amazing services. They diagnosed the issue and got to work right away. They (Kevin) was thorough and extremely professional. I was amazed how cost efficient the service was especially for the job done. I will use again if the situation arises.

The response was very fast - within an hour - and the clerk taking my information over the phone was courteous and professional. The hands on workers were very hardworking and courteous. The foreman Corey - who annoyingly talks far too much - wrote a vague description of the work to be done, rather than an itemized account, which I should have demanded from him. After seeing the work that eventually was done, I am convinced that I was greatly overcharged for their service. Additionally, they did not finish the job by replacing the grass and dirt on the front lawn over the cleanouts. I did that myself after it became evident they had no intention of returning to do it. I did not call them back to finish the job because I want nothing to do with them. While I am pleased that the problem of roots blocking the drain has been resolved, I am not at all pleased by the way this company conducts its business. I believe I was cheated and I am owed the amount that I was overcharged. I am a dissatisfied customer, and I deserve to have the bill recalculated to reflect an honest and fair amount rather than the inflated, opportunistic amount I was charged.

Roto Rooter responded to our request to clean out the main drain from house to street within an hour. The rep was professional, thorough and knowledgeable. He took care to minimize any mess and cleaned all debris once he was done. Price was reasonable and we are happy our drains are working properly again after he cleared out a mess of tree roots! I would definitely recommend Roto Rooter and will use them again in the future.

This morning I discovered a major sewer backup in my basement. By noon we had people onsite fixing the problem. Everyone on the RotoRooter team was professional and efficient. They showed up promptly and clearly explained what the issue was and how to get it fixed. They were respectful of our home and kind to my dog.

Bathroom drain was slow. Greg came out and took care of it. He was very professionally and even offered some suggestions to help with the issue.

Would give a half star if I could. Had an old hot water tank that needed replacing. That part went fine, but it all went wrong with the water mitigation department. They barely did any work (put down three fans for a couple days), and decide to charge $800 for that. Woman on the phone was very rude and unhelpful. They take zero responsibility for anything. They will try to convince you there is something special about their fans and you need them when in reality the only special thing about them is how much they charge you to use them. In turn, they try to act like they did you a favor and they deserve some kind of praise. It's a very twisted process and company. Go find a local plumber who won't try to nickel and dime you for their services. If you don't mind paying an extreme amount of money for them to barely work then I say use them.

Jaxon did great job cleaning out ALL our sink and shower/tub pipes. Very hard working, honest and great advice.

Dishonest. Quoted me a ridiculous amount and said I needed multiple walls torn down, mold treatment...etc thank god I got a second opinion cause I saved a boat load of money and stopped myself from falling victim. All I needed was a small section of wall removed and a simple drain fix with new sealer. As a new homeowner they prey off you being scared you have a leak and not knowing enough about your problem. Always seek second opinion after having them come out. Only good to come out of it was meeting Eyah who was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me out. Will never use roto rooter again and will never recommend to anyone. Beware of them.

Fantastic responsiveness and professionalism, even on a Saturday evening. Sam is wonderful, addressed all my questions and concerns, and got a team in quickly to replace a burst hot water tank and clean up the mess. Top notch help just when you need it.

I’m in the Cleveland area and contacted Roto router didn’t realize their dispatch service was out of Chicago Illinois they were fair at best but the service technician by the name of Doug number 2530 was terrific he was kind and thorough and would give him 10 stars

Alex came on time, and was very courteous. But most importantly, he was knowledgeable and skilled. He diagnosed the problem correctly, and fixed it very quickly. He is excellent! While I hope I don't have plumbing problems any time soon, if I did I'd want him to come and fix them.

Huge props to Joe (4175) and Keith (489). These guys have been working at our house Saturday, Sunday and Monday to get the job done. We had major surgery on our 92 year old house and couldn't ask for friendlier, more professional folks to be in our home doing the work. These guys have tough jobs but they still find a way to stay courteous and friendly. We highly recommend Roto-Rooter!

I was very pleased with all aspects of the mid Saturday afternoon service I received. Roto-Rooter was on-time, kept everything neat and clean, and worked until 9:00 p.m. to make sure the problem was resolved. I know I called the right company, because a smaller company would not have had the equipment or man power needed to resolve the problem we had. Best of all, the price was reasonable and fair. I will be calling Roto-Rooter for all my future plumbing and drain problems.

my sons place of employment used their servicethe technician was Johnathon Church he spent two days jetting the roof stacks of the two apartments and the main drains. He did an excellent job !! No problems at all. Johnathon works tirelessly & is extremely courteous to the tenants who ask him questions. Ted was wonderful. He was very helpful and willing to answer any and all my questions. The company was able to meet my schedule and send someone out when I was able to be home. They called to let me know when someone was on their way. They are a bit pricey though!

Overall a great experience. The plumbers, Matt and Adam, were really friendly and fixed our clogged bathroom sink really fast. The work took a total of about 15 minutes. The only reason I did not give the review 5 stars was because it was a little on the pricey side, but I guess you get what you pay for. I would definitely use them again, perhaps if I have a more major plumbing issue in the future that would warrant the higher (flat rate) price.

Jamie and Brian were very professional. They explained and wrote up 3 possible estimates for the work. I never felt pressured to spend more than I wanted. I would use their service again without hesitation.

I have used this company multiple times and they do an outstanding job. I love That they take the time to listen to you and answer questions but only suggest was absolutely necessary. Every time I have called they have sent someone within 24 hours and they are very professional. Our refrigerator water line busted. Water was shooting out and flooding into the basement, and we couldn't find the shut-off valve. Jake with Roto-Rooter came to our house at 11:00 p.m. on New Years Day and found the valve in the ceiling of our basement so we could turn the main water line back on. He returned less than 12 hours later and fixed the refrigerator line quickly and efficiently. He also checked another potential leaking valve and addressed another question I had for him. He was friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend Jake and Roto-Rooter.

I called at 4:30 am and got an appointment for that day. Then I got an conformation call @ 8:00 am saying the repairman will arrive in 45 minutes. Once Bill 811 arrived (on time), he was kind, hard working and efficient. I will definitely call Roto-Rooter again.

Mike was the technician that came to my house and in my opinion was outstanding. The clog was not your typical clog and Mike had a guy feeling of what the issue was. He stayed with his gut feeling which turned out to be right and unclogged the drain, saving me from a way more expensive repair. He was nice, courteous, and respectful. He also looked professional and spoke intelligently about the issue. I recommend him highly along with Roto Rooter.

Had them to come out and give me an estimate on my pipes that's crack. They charge me $295 for that and that's okay and technicians were great but for them to fix my plumbing It was ridiculous for the price I would never use Roto-Rooter. For the price they was charging me I could pay down on another house.

I needed a plumber right away, and Roto Rooter was the only plumbing company that would come out the same day. The plumber, Rene #1199, did an excellent job and made sure everything was 100% correct before he left. He also answered all my questions. I thought he was great.

Kitchen drain clogged the day before Thanksgiving so needed quick service. Within 2 hours of my call, Jake (807) was in my house and working to solve the issue. He was on-time and very curious - job completed quickly. Great employee and representative for Root-Rooter. Will definitely use them again.

Corey and Jermaine were very professional, efficient, knowledgable. They were pleasant, super polite, very clean. They were dressed nicely and kept a very neat work area. They even mopped my floor after finishing. I've relied on Roto-rooter for a great variety of jobs, very big and difficult ones included. The company seems to have experts internally that can be called on site for second opinions which has been a great benefit for me. Roto-rooter offers very comprehensive service. As a final note, it's nice when a plumbing company answers their phone and provides good communication about technician arrival, estimates, etc.

I was very satisfied with the work from beginning to end. All employees were very polite and explained the work being done. The work was completed in a very timely manner. When I made the first call with the problem, Jake 807 was at my door in less than 30 minutes to start working. He explained that his supervisor would be out to let me know my options for further work to be done. Long story short, although the work was expensive, I shouldn’t have anymore problems. The technician, Jonathon, was top notch. He was very thorough and totally professional. He clearly put in extra effort and made sure the problem met with a complete solution. It was a serious main sewer blockage and took significant time and effort.

RotoRooter came to our aid when the hose on extension sink separated. Not only did they make multiple house calls, but they were very up front with fees and fares in order to help us make informed decisions and get what was most appropriate to us. Definitely would recommend to others.

I called at 10AM with a clogged septic line. They said they could have someone there within 2 hours - which they did - complete with a call to let me know he would be there in 20-30 minutes. I explained the problem to Shane, he got right to work and in less than an hour line was unclogged (roots) and running freely. He even ran a camera through to check for other problems. Price was reasonable (complete with a $40 off on-line coupon he told me about). Very satisfied!

Alex (2061) showed up on time and did an inspection. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. He did an excellent job keeping me informed of his progress and diagnosing the problem. He was also very careful to contain any blockage he pulled from the sewer/main pipes and cleaned up when he finished. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter thanks to the work performed by Alex.

Bill 811 was my repairman today. He was professional, personable, respectful and repaired my issue with my hot water tank within an hour. I must admit that I have been skeptical of some of the big repair companies. If all of the servicemen are like Bill, I will continue to call Roto-Rooter for plumbing issues and refer them to my friends, relatives and colleagues.

The first time out the a week ago was fast and easy l. They had it all cleared out and business was back to usual at our house. Today we got back up again and we got water back in the basement. I called and they sent a good team of Bryan and Matthew. They were able to locate the sewer clog not long after they got there. It seems it was on the county side of things! It stinks I had to have them come out twice. But that 6 month warranty was definitely worth the price. Now I am just hoping we can get the county to reimburse us for the service call! Of course we're not holding our breath, but a man sure can dream!

Service was honest, comprehensive and straight forward. They saved me from spending a few thousand dollars for something I didn't need done. I wish I had used them two years earlier they could have saved me even more! Our service was worth every dollar spent!

Service was good. Blockage was cleared. Pricing was outrageous. Glad to have the work done be a knowledgeable and able tech, but if I need a plumber again I’ll shop around for a reasonable price. $400 per hour + product is not going to be in my budget for future issues.

The person who serviced our 3rd floor bathtub after it was clogged was extremely professional, informative, personable, and did not stop until the job was done (and it was not your run of the mill clog in our house built in 1940 with old drains and traps!) I called the company at 11:00am and they had someone to my house by 2:00pm. Reasonable price as well. Will definitely use them again.

2nd time within a couple months we have used Roto Rooter for home repairs and highly recommend them! The service technicians respond quickly, are Very professional and helpful! Larry and Dale were both awesome! Got here within the hour and had the sinks flowing within 30min! Both very professional and polite. They showed me what they were doing and make sure everything was working perfect before they left. Since it was my first home and showed me all the sludge in the pipes they recommended the chemical to put down once a month, they didn't pressure me to purchase it (even though i did) but explained that it would help the pipes especially since its an older home. Went above and beyond to fix the issue. Advised the homeowner (Me) of every action needed and possible causes and the steps needed to complete the job. This job was a recall due to the unusual circumstances in regards to the leak . There was a disposable replaced and also a beautiful recommended faucet was replaced. John gave us a great discount. JUST a note the previous plumber did everything right it's just this one did a little more troubleshooting. He took the disposal apart and put it together several times. When the issue still was not fixed he stayed to troubleshoot showing me the customer exactly what it could be. He then found the real issue and replaced the faucet with a great looking Moen Faucet. My experience with Roto-Rooter was amazing! I scheduled my appointment using their online form during my lunch break at work. It was really easy. I was able to pick a same day appointment and select a timeframe that was convenient for me; unlike other service companies that tell you a 4-6 hour timeframe which seemingly always end up being at the least convenient time… I got an email confirmation with my appointment details and even a 30 minute courtesy call from their customer service informing me my technician was on his way. My technician, Walter, was extremely polite and friendly upon arriving at my house (Seven Hills, Ohio). He quickly assessed the issue, explained the solution and drew up an estimate. I was shocked at how competitive the price was (I had gotten quotes from some other local plumbers) and that he could do the work right on the spot. They even honored a coupon I printed from their website! Within less than an hour, Walter had the issue resolved! They offered various forms of payments which is nice to have and even guaranteed their work for 6 months. I was even more impressed to find out that Walter had already worked a full shift and that he took my job last minute to help backfill with some delays. Dedication! The plumber showed up quickly and diagnosed the most likely problem to our basement clog within minutes. Once he got in there, however, it turns out there were rocks in our pipes. How they got there I'll never know. Tim was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and even gave us a major discount because the problem was so easily fixed. Called on a Sunday expecting to schedule an estimate for that upcoming week. The woman on the phone was very quick and professional. She said someone could be out within 4 hours!! I was very pleased with this and they kept me updated on the plumber's ETA. When the plumber got to our home, Matt (#1862), was very polite and didn't freak out when our dog barked at the door. I'm a big fan of the shoe pads/slippers he wore throughout our home because I was in the middle of sweeping and mopping our hardwood floors. I called to setup an appointment with RotoRooter due to a sewer smell building up in my house. The tech, Derek, was prompt and through. He found the problem and was able to fix it for me. He was outside, in the cold, for a couple hours to open up my main sewer line. I was impressed with his commitment to helping unclog the main line. I highly recommend this company if you have any problems like this. Their techs will find the cause and get it fixed for you. My sister has been dealing with plumbing issues for over 5 years now and earlier this year did a large cost fix that we thought solved the problem. Recently we had two visits and at the most recent visit Greg, the initial technician, raised concerns that a supervisor was never brought on site. He quickly called, and was able to bring both the Excavation Manager, Dan, and supervisor Mike in to review the problem. After about an hour or so of looking through the system with their camera they found part of their work had broken, due to an issue with the city’s tap system that had collapsed. As the work by Roto Rooter was still under warranty, they are scheduled to repair their part along with the City coming to repair their tap. These two fixes, as we have been told, should fix all of the plumping issues my sister has had since buying her home. I cannot thank Greg, Dan and Mike enough for being diligent and not leaving until they found what was causing this never-ending problem. Thank you guys!!

I had them come out to clear my drain another company apparently didn’t do a good enough job. They also informed me the long term fix for my root problem will be a city side issue. They were super knowledgeable and very helpful.

We had a sewer line that collapsed that was located under the basement floor. The technicians were able to clear the initial clog that caused the sewer to backup, and were able to identify and locate the source of the issue. I was able to see on the inspection camera the area that had collapsed, and the technicians were able to identify the specific location that needed to be dug up in the floor using their equipment. All of the work was completed by the technician in a timely manner, and the quality of the workmanship in making the repairs was excellent. I am very satisfied with the quality of the work, and the serviceman who did all of the work was very courteous and professional. I have absolutely no complaints with the technician, or the quality and speed of his work. That being said, I feel like you should be aware that this level of service definitely comes at a premium. The job came in at $9k (gulp), but the work was done well, expediently, and all debris from the trenching was hauled off and disposed of, and we have a five year guarantee on the work completed.

We were having toilet problems early in the evening by the end of the evening we had a new toilet installed. The workers were professional and pleasant and worked fast. They hauled away the old toilet and cleaned up the most left from installing the new one. By 10 o’clock at night we had a new Toilet in our plumbing problems were solved. All things considered, the price was very reasonable.

Had some water backup in our basement after a heavy storm, and I was very pleased at being able to secure an appointment time online for the coming week and receive text updates on when I would expect my service technician on the day of the appointment. Matt was very respectful & professional with assessing all potential & possible issues, and was able to clearly explain the findings and future hiccups to watch out for. I had a root clogged main line and called today, Saturday afternoon. They were able to send Ben (827) over in less than a half hour who was very professional.After reviewing the options I had, Ben cleared the line working outside in a snowstorm in 18 degree degree weather with no problems. He was concerned that there could be more roots and scheduled a free follow up tomorrow to have a camera ran down the line for inspection.I highly recommend Roto Rooter, and Ben.

Horrible customer care, amateur at best work.Charged 4x what 2 local companies quoted and Roto-Rooter didn’t do the job per the contract. Didn’t fix the leak, created a larger leak. Wouldn’t come out and help with leak for 12 hours even though they advertise 24 hour service. Refuse to try and resolve anything. Failed to keep their end of the contract and avoid all valid complaints.Absolutely pathetic company.

I am SURE Rotorooter is proud of the misleading, sales people they have. Was told dozens of times by our “mediator” Ben that our insurance would 100% cover our damages. Got the service done, never heard from Ben again and received a bill for almost $4,000. Absolutely outrageous, incredibly misleading and the absolute worst employees when it comes to communication. The day Ben left our house, was the last time he ever spoke to us and this was supposed to be someone who was communicating with us every step of the way. I KNEW as I was talking with him that there was something “off” about him and I should have trusted my gut. I will forever and always strongly not recommend Rotorooter to everyone. The worst experience ever.

My kitchen sink clogged one night after work & none of my home remedies were working. I called Roto rooter & they originally were suppose to come the night of, but a prior job held them up. They came the very next morning at 8am. I have a an older home but Chuck, the tech who came out was great. He fixed the clog, but told me this is a temporary fix. Eventually this will be a bigger problem (one that I cannot afford at this time & mentioned that to him) but that if I take care of my drains, the bigger issue can wait until later. I appreciated his honesty & he did not try to sell me all these other services / methods, he even turned down a product he mentioned earlier before he did the repair bc he did not want me to waste my money. I will definitely call Roto rooter again in the future.

Doug was our plumber for our new sink install. Originally we were going to repair the pop-up assembly and drain on our pedestal sink, but after some discussion with Doug and exploring our quote options, we decided to reschedule for Monday, since he came out on a Saturday afternoon. By Monday, I had purchased a new sink vanity cabinet and faucet to be installed. Doug arrived as scheduled and did a marvelous job despite not knowing what my husband and I decided and encountering a couple obstacles (cement mound holding the pedestal in place for starters). CLOGGED BATHROOM SINKI was told by a plumber from another local company that the pipe was blocked with sludge and that they would have to tear out the wall and replace the pipes. They charged me $150 for the unsuccessful attempt at snaking the drain and said it would be another $500 to come back and open the wall.So, I called Roto Rooter for a second opinion on my clogged bathroom sink. Rich, from Roto Rooter came to check it out and was able to snake the drain freeing up the clog. It took him a couple of hours, but he got the job done. He also told me that he would not charge me if he couldn’t get the drain unclogged unlike the other company. And he gave me a 6 month guarantee on the work done.I want to thank Rich from Roto Rooter for giving us a working sink again in our only bathroom. Steven was fantastic with fixing my drain, and completed the job in a timely manner. He had two ways of completing the job, and allowed me to make the decision as to how to fix my problem. The first attempt of fixing it by snaking the pipe didn't work, which he had stated before we attempted that option may not work. His second solution to the problem was to cut and add a Y piece to my main drain in the basement, not only is my drain fixed, but now I also have a way of taking care of my drain in the future. I wanted to be able to give a great review. Sadly, I am out of hundreds of dollars with no positive results. The technician stated he had to charge me something and found the lowest amount the company could charge me resetting the computer board of my water tank and while my water heated up that day, my issue was not resolved and nothing was replaced or switched on my unit. The technician stated he would return for a 3rd time in the same week but has not returned and is not accepting my calls. when I called the office I was told to speak with the tech. Now I am going to have to seek help elsewhere and come out of pocket more, when every hard earned dollar I earn is already being stretched past capacity. The friend who referred this company feels bad for even suggesting them but its not their fault I am having a poor experience.

I initally gave Roto-Rooter a 5 star review. Their first visit to my house was great and I was very happy with the service provided, however due the nature of the problem (water removal and mitigation), follow up work was required. The following week they had to set up equipment and sanitize, which required them to return every day to assess water damage/moisture in dry wall etc. I had questions for them about the process because I was told different things from different people. I also had several fuses blow due to their equipment which caused other problems and inconveniences in my house.I was given two peoples names with Roto Rooter who I could contact. I called both individuals 2-3 times throughout the week and left voicemails and never received a response. I called the main office as well. I was finally given a managers name who called me back shortly after I left a message. Receiving no response for an entire week is unacceptable given the circumstances of the issues they were servicing.

Raw sewage came into our basement, the 24 hr line answer at midnight when it happened. They sent a plumber first thing in the morning. The plumber (Austin Taylor) was amazing, professional, took came of numerous areas that caused this. He was friendly and officiant always letting us know what was being done. I would use this company again due to the job and professionalism of Austin alone. Highly recommend!!

Great company that is always able to come when you need it. Had my hot water tank replaced by them last year, just had my basement drains cleared by them and my fridge water line replaced. They even fixed my drain on my kitchen sink for free! Excellent customer service, very professional company, everyone that has ever come to my house from them has been fantastic and knowledgeable. They usually won’t be the cheapest option on the market, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for! The clean up team has not shown up as scheduled for 2 consecutive days. My calls finally responded to this afternoon ( Saturday of a holiday weekend) to say they had people quit this week. I asked why I wasn't informed earlier when I could have made other arrangements (hire another company). No answer but to blame scheduling person. Now....my wet flooring and woodwork needs to wait for next week to call my ins Co to hire someone else. Would have been easily resolved with a phone call. Angry.

Called at 8:30 pm for a plumbing issue: tub and shower clogged, toilet and tub backup, water overflow into the ceiling. Roto Rooter was able to send a plumber. Camden was fantastic! He came out to my house around 10:30 pm the same evening and addressed our plumbing concerns and worked tirelessly to try and unclog the drain till 2 am. We have an older home built in 1941 so the drains/p-traps are complicated.The next morning, Camden’s supervisor Corry came out first thing the next morning and was able to get to the root of the problem. The 90 degree elbow under the floor needed replacing. There were tree roots in the lines.Thank you to Camden, Corry, and Arya who all played a significant role in addressing my plumbing issue.Rooter Rooter has always been available when I have needed emergency service; from water back up, clean up/restoration and now plumbing service. He was able to assess and address my issue with the old cast iron piping and make some solid recommendations for preventative maintenance. The issue with Roto-Rooter is that you are going to pay 3-4 times more than you would with other private plumbers. I was recently quoted $16-17k for a job that I found a licensed reputable plumber to do for $4.2k. They will say that their warranty and they fact that they are a large corporate company justifies this, but I would strongly disagree. A price increase of that size is highway robbery, and takes advantage of people who don't know they have other options.If you are okay with significantly overpaying to work with a large brand, Roto-Rooter might be a good option for you. If you are like most people and need to pay fair prices, there are better options out there if you take the time to find them.

I am writing this review for my dad, Alfred Zellner. The technician was Rick #640. He was pleasant and went the extra mile to fix the problem in one day. He stayed well after the dinner hour but the problem was fixed. Their shower fixtures were replaced along with newly installed shut off valves. I appreciate that he took care of my parents' needs at a fair price.

Other then the fact my appointment was scheduled for 8-10, I called at 10:15, they said they called me and it went to voice mail. They rescheduled for 12-2, said that would text me this time. The technician showed at 1, no text. He was polite, courteous, and did his job perfectly.

As an early Christmas present, my house decided it wanted me to get a new water heater. I called roto rooter on a Friday and they had a technician out to my house as soon as I get home from work. A little on the pricey side for what I had done but that seems to be the case with all plumbing companies. The quality will be determined within a week or so but overall I’m happy. Had Dan from Roto Rooter come out to repair our sewage issue. He was very knowledgeable and got everything taken care of for us within the expected time frame. They may not be the cheapest, but they are definitely the best. I would call them again if I have future plumbing issues.

Alex the technician was thorough with the installation, He took time to explain what he did. After installation, dirty water was coming out of the faucets and he took time to drain the tank to ensure clean water. I am satisfied with the service. Excellent.

They came out right away and were able to complete a large job within 3 days from when I initially called. They had enough staff to bring in several people and everyone was very nice and respectful of our home. Matthew (3281), Michael (1258) and Kacey (5811) were efficient and cleaned everything up. We had to do a dig inside and out. It was very expensive (Not the workers’ fault) and I’m not sure if the price was fair or not because it was a whirlwind and we desperately needed our plumbing working again so we weren’t able to get other estimates. But given the emergency situation, I’m pleased with the work.

John did an excellent job fixing our garbage disposal after some glass and other debris has fallen down into it. He did not give us the run around and tell us it needed completely replaced like other places did but instead told us the truth about how it needed fixed and got it fixed for us swiftly and accurately. I called late on Friday afternoon with a fairly serious water damage issue in my mom's basement- a pipe was leaking from the kitchen sink into the crawl space, odor was awful, mildew setting in. The dispatch person was very accommodating, said that certainly someone could come out the next day. And they did. Tim and Matt were fantastic- thorough, respectful of my mom's home, cleaned up after the work was complete even though it was after 9 on a Saturday night. All costs were explained up front, along with the five year warranty on all work done. I would recommend this company to anyone with plumbing issues. We also dealt with Eric from the Water Restoration wing of RR and he, too, could not have been easier and more pleasant to deal with- all in all, they made a difficult weekend end on a positive, dry note.

Our technician, Caleb, was amazing. He was thorough and efficient with our free estimate, and even more so when we requested the work to be done in the same visit after we approved the estimate. I recently needed my sewer drain cabled(snaked). Rotorooter was quick to respond. The technician, Tim 2810, was very pleasant and courteous and did an excellent and thorough job. A guy from Roto-Rooter named Jamie came in and did a very good job. Took out two toilets and replaced them with new ones that they supplied. The job was done quickly and well. The only slight knock would be that the new toilet is slightly off-while. I would have preferred a gleaming while porcelain. But otherwise everything is working well.

We had trouble with our kitchen sink not draining properly for two weeks. Tried everything we could do ourselves before calling Roto-Rooter. We called pretty late in the day hoping for a quick fix, but the problem ended up being more involved than originally thought. Despite the late hours on a Saturday night, our tech Warren kept trying new options and was as thorough as possible to diagnose our problems with a positive attitude. He didn't even bat an eye when we asked him last minute to tack on a plumbing change to bring our pipes up to code. Excellent service!

Our sump pump was continuously running and I contacted homeadvisor to have it repaired or replaced. On the scheduled time of the service the contractor messaged me that he had vehicle problems and could not show up. With rain in the forecast for the rest of the day. Being stuck i contacted Roto-Rooter and they were available to do the job and gave me a 4 hr show up time. Within a half hour they were at my door. Paul took a look and gave me a few options on how to proceed. I chose to replace our 15 yr old sump pump. Paul did the job professionally and was very courteous. They scheduled someone to come out to the house the same morning and called when the Rich was 30 minutes away. He came and evaluated the problem and found other problem areas that could start leaking in the near future. He gave me options and the various costs associated with each option and he gave me his professional opinion, which wasn’t the most expensive option! He was clean and curitious. I forgot he was actually in the house! This is the second time I’ve used Roto Rooter and I’m so happy with them! They are truly professional, well educated on their trade, and work very hard to keep their customers satisfied! I can assure you that Rich at Roto Rooter will be my go to guy for all my drain and plumbing needs. They are a great company and have amazing employees!

The Service tech, Dale, was fantastic. He kept my house clean and unclogged a troublesome/clogged bathtub drain in no time. It's working like a dream and I'm also very happy to know there is a six month guarantee on it plugging up again. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the price. It was way more (over $200 more) than I intended to spend and the tech was there no more than an hour, in all. Work wise - 5 stars. price - 3 stars. So I give 4!

Doug came to my house to unclog a drain for me. He worked tirelessly the entire time he was here, patiently answered all my questions, and cleaned up when he was finished. I would have no trouble at all using Roto-Rooter again.

Roto Rooter was fast and reliable. Only needed to go one day without hot water. Brandon was also very accommodating we needed to go to a wedding so they came for an early consult and were fine with my mom coming over for the rest of the process once we had to leave.Probably a little more expensive than some other options but the fact it was so fast was worth it!

Bryan and Adam were amazing! They came to replace the basement utility tub, but noticed some corrosion on the faucet heads, saving us from a nightmare in the near future. Was able to get an appointment in a couple days' time. Marc #848 did a nice job explaining my problem (waste disposal issue). Unfortunately it needed to be replaced. Marc was able to get the part in about an hour. I found the cost much higher than I expected. Total job was like $600. He was somewhat apologetic and again it wasn't his fault but I felt like this could have been much cheaper.

Darius in dispatch was absolutely amazing! I became very upset about waiting on a technician and was not very nice to him. He was calm and patient with me and never lost his cool. Alex was great 👍🏾! Totally recommend. Very knowledgeable and made everything comprehensive for me to understand what the issue was with my water system. As a first time home owner it gets nervous when you don’t understand plumbing language but Alex walked me step by step in what the issue was.

The customer service was great and the plumber they sent, Chris #3041, was very competent, well-mannered, and worked efficiently to unclog our bathtub drain. Kyle is a true professional. He called me with an ETA and said he was downstairs earlier than he had predicted. The removal and disposal of the garbage disposal were labor intense and time-consuming, yet never once did he any indication that he was tired, frustrated, or overwhelmed. Each time that he needed to go back to his van for a part or a tool, he notified me android what he was bringing up and why. It was impressive how he laid the parts and pieces of the pipes out as if they were a giant jig saw puzzle. I checked in on him from time to time, and he answered all of my questions patiently and used terms I could understand without talking down to me. I appreciated that. What I appreciated the most was his clean-up. In my opinion, he went above, and beyond cleaning up, so nothing was left behind. It was a pleasant surprise to learn that I have a year's warranty on the parts. I'll have to find a new home for the bucket that lived under my sink, catching the leaking water for months. They put in a herculean effort to get my main line cleared but needed a pressure tool. They did not charge me a penny for the near 4 hours they spent trying to open the line back up. John was great and though going to take another day with a different truck with a specialty tool, would strongly recommend them anytime.

Scheduled online for sewer blockage and camera survey. Received a confirmation within hours for the appointment that was two days from scheduling. Appointment block was 6-8 PM. Received call at 6:30 PM the day of the appointment to reschedule because they had a job that went over time. No problem, rescheduled for the next day for time block 5-7 PM. The next day was no show, no call. Received call at 9:30 PM stating they were behind and would call when they were free. Canceled the service.

The young man that came to my house was Jake (Lawrence)-807and I found him to be very friendly and courteous. I explained the problem I was having and he listened to everything I had to say without interruption. After listening to me he did a walk through and checked out the situation. He then explained to me what he thought the problem was. He then wrote up three (3) different estimates for me to look over to fix my problem from the minimal to extensive. Jake then explained in detail what he would be doing with each estimate before having me choose and beginning work. He took his time and was more then willing to explain to me what he was doing whenever I stuck my nose in. Once Jake had completed the work, he cleaned up after himself and again explained in detail everything he had done before accepting payment. I had a gas leak causing the gas company to be turn it off. Terry came over and did some major diagnostics to find multiple leaks and repaired them all. He showed me all the areas of concern. Additionally, I had plumbing issues with a basement toilet and kitchen faucet. Terry was very professional, polite, knowledgeable and proficient. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter and Terry. Started out unsure about quality of service when the first Technician didn't show up after receiving message he was on his way. I called to check in with Dispatch. Driver never showed. We called Roto-rooter on a Sunday afternoon because our kitchen sink was backing up. They were able to get someone here by 2pm and the problem was thoroughly fixed within 2 hours (turned out we had a lot of backed up sludge in our pipes since it is an older house). Rene was great and thoroughly explained everything as he did it and made sure the issue was well taken care of before he left. Plumbing seems to always be a pricey service, but it was well worth it. Had a water main leak that was noticed in the evening. Called the 24 hour line and scheduled an appointment for the next morning. The technician was prompt, knowledgeable, and efficient. The tech assessed and repaired all three issues in a couple of hours. The price was very reasonable given the repair prevented an event that would have caused damages that would have cost 10 to 15 times more to repair

Ted did a great job. He didn't seem to rush and took time to clear out our drain using a few different methods and even went above and beyond to correct a flow direction issue. We received a price before work began and the same day appointment was a life saver. I hardly use service companies because I can do most household jobs myself, but they do provide a valuable service.

Two weeks before calling Roto Rooter, I had a plumber come out recommended by Angi's list. They screwed up my toilet repair and the supervisor had to come out to correct it. Then they charged $150 more on top of the regular quote. So, when I was having major problems with my sump pump drainage, I went with the best, Roto Rooter. Yes, it was expensive, but the repair has resulted in a quieter sump pump and great drainage.SO...my judgement of Roto Rooter is...they do cost more, but they do an incredible job, so it was is worth it !

I called to request a service call slightly after 9am. I was told they would have a technician to my office within 2 hours. 4 hours went by before I called back to inquire on the status of the call. Another 2 hours went by before I called back to reschedule the call due to my office closing for the evening. I was then told Oh, no one is available to speak with you, so we will just call you laterPS, I left one star ONLY because it wouldnt let me leave zero....Horrible, HORRIBLE service!

John was very professional and communicative during the whole process despite working along side Cleveland Water. Sump pump failed, they came out the next morning and were able to replace and install new sump pump. Chuck our technician was very helpful and informative. He explained what happened and how the new pump would work. Was able to answer all my questions especially since the whole basement flooded, it was an unpleasant new experience but Chuck did a great job to help alleviate part of that problem.

I was very much impressed with Roto-Rooter's Service Representatives that came out to my house. They were very professional ,helpful and courteous. However , I was very much disappointed with Roto-Rooter's deceptive policy of a free estimate and service call. The estimate and service call are free however, if you do not have them do any work , they will charge you a Diagnostic Fee of about $100 !!!! ? By saying that there is no service fee or estimate fee involved leads one to believe that they will not be charged anything and that simply is not right !-(

Most companies would not have been willing to solve the problem and earn a customer's return business. I would definitely call them for plumbing issues in the future.The company dispatched one of its plumbers quickly to my house, and he was very professional. The problem is that the company did not resolve my plumbing issue. I called in with a specific problem with a drain, showed it to the technician, and he proceeded to clean out the main line from the house to the street - not the drain where I had a problem. My understanding was that he would clear my drain, but he informed me that it would be an extra charge. This was not mentioned until after the main line had been snaked - otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. As it stands, I feel like I've wasted my money.

Paul came out super quickly to replace a leaking garbage disposal! Super kind and knowledgable, and he was nice to my dog!Michael was able to come out in less than an hour and fix the plug in our tub that was giving us such a hard time! He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and even let us know that our sink drain was incorrectly installed as well. It was a little pricey but for the same day service, I think it was completely worth it.

My husband and I experienced a plumbing emergency. It turned out to be that the drain/line from our home out to our septic tank became clogged and dirty water and toilet paper came up thru our shower drain and toilet resulting in a flood on the bathroom floor. It was a huge mess! I called a plumber we have used in the past and it was too big a job for them. They gave me the name of a company to call. I explained the situation and over 24 hours later, I am still waiting for that call back. I decided while waiting for that call back, I would try calling Roto Rooter. They relayed our problem to a technician and a technician was at our home within 2 hours of my initial call. Kevin (#5040) was awesome to work with! He was so polite, friendly and knowledgeable! He worked very hard (in the rain and wind) to correct our problem. He was diligent about wearing his shoe covers as to keep too much of outside from coming inside. He explained everything as he went along and that gave us a high level of comfort. We will most definitely use Roto Rooter in the future when we are in need of a plumber (and we will hope they send Kevin)!

He came fixed my sink pipes and did an amazing job. Haven’t seen the sink work so well in over 10 years. Also had it done super fast. My only issue was the pricing. He estimated it way off. Over $100 off even with our coupon for 40% off. He even asked for our budget and managed to go way over it. We had to find dollars in random places just to come up with the amount. Next time I would like to see the price book instead of the worker taking the book to the car.

This was for replacement of the faucets at our washing machine. The original work was done with copper piping in the 1970s (or earlier) and the seal around the faucets were failing. Jaime came in right on time, was able to put in a much needed water hammer arrestor and shut-off valve for the cold and hot water taps. We live in a 100+ year old home, so knowing we don't need to worry about water leaks relieves a lot of stress! Highly recommend his work!

The plumber we got did not know how to get to the cartridge on my shower. Did not have their own tools and when we got the cartridge out did not have one.In addition I had a coupon that he refused to take and they still charged me $123.00 even though I had to go to Lowes buy my own cartridge and install it myself.Further they messed up the caulking on my tub so the next morning when my wife was in the shower I discovered water pouring into my kitchen!I am not planning to use Roto Rooter in the future if they don't provide better people.

This was our first time using Roto Rooter and we were extremely impressed with the work Jamie Long, John Rice and assistant Matt did for us. Jamie was very through in explaining what had to be completed in order to bring us up to code on our water tank. They all worked efficiently and carefully to complete the job. Our shower drain clogged on a Saturday. The companies we contacted said they would come out for a service call, but never showed up. Initially rated 5 stars because Dylan was awesome and would still give his service 5 stars it's not his fault his employer runs a bait and switch operation. After a backup into our basement they came out and diagnosed us with an issue that was going to take $16k to fix. We got different estimates and fortunately a local plumber decided he was going to run a cam and see what was going on. Nothing wrong at all. Took the time to show us the footage and walked us through everything whereas Roto Rooter just wanted us to believe it was an emergency that needed fixed asap. Roto Rooter was completely trying to scam us out of $16k. Do yourself a favor and get a local plumber.

I had a gas leak in my home, and the gas company turned my gas off. I called Roto-Rooter and they came out within 2 hours. Not knowing where the leak was or how it needed to be located. Mike came out and explained everything he would do for us and what all the possible issues we could come across. Mike did a great job in explaining the issue to us and getting it done correctly so we could get our gas turned back on!

I was able to set up the appointment to the time I needed. Bill came and was very professional and courteous and quoted me a price and even gave me a discount for being a veteran. I was very happy with the service and will use Roto-Rooter again if I ever have plumbing issues again.

Jamie was the tech who came on site to service my external sump pump. He was required to carefully remove #3 and #4 river rock that cover the concrete lid on an outside pit that contains the sump pump. He took great care so none of the stones would fall into the pit. Checked to see the pump was operating correctly and then slid the lid carefully back in place and shoveled the stones back in place to cover the lid. Job well done. I will request him when I replace the sump pump next spring.

Rotorooter crew, Caleb (1401) and Joe (4175) were great. We had 80 years of rust in our bathroom drains. It was a tough job. They were timely, courteous, clean and effective.

The cost seemed a bit high to me, though in fairness I didn't do a lot of comparison shopping, so maybe it was more reasonable than I thought.I would definitely call Jake again, and overall can definitely recommend them.

Jake was our serviceman and he did an amazing job. When all hope seemed lost he found another access point and within minutes our bathtub was draining. Jake humored my children and their questions was extremely knowledgeable and wouldn't give up. I will not only use Roto Rooter for all my plumbing issues, but will be requesting Jake specifically.

John (#859) at Roto-Rooter is a very professional technician. He was very good at explaining what went wrong with my water heater. He provided honest advice and sufficient information to help me make an informed decision on buying a new one or repairing the old one. I was impressed with his honesty and caring the interest of clients. Thumbs up!

Overall the experience was good, but was definitely expensive. I had my carpet dried and basement sprayed for mold after getting water in the finished basement. They came out and gave a free estimate and had guys there same day to start the process. Process took 4 days overall; this includes estimate, moving items off of carpet, getting carpet and pad torn out, fans placed and dehumidifiers running. They let them run nonstop for three days and came out on the fourth day to get equipment. Once they left, they left carpet floating so we could have new pad installed. The guys that came out were friendly and receptive. Looking back on it, based on the cost to have the carpet dried(not a new carpet either) it might have been better to just rip it all out and get new padding/carpet. If you're looking to save your carpet if its new I would recommend Roto-Rooter, but expect to pay over $2500. Considering the price and not even having a full finished basement and not replacing the padding, I feel they over charge for their services.

I called for mold and water damage in my basement. An agent came out and said we needed the service right away or no one could live in my house he was very high pressure to sign me up they did the job but left the mold on the walls and did not even sweep part of the basement I called 3 to 4 times to come out they do not answer This was not a 5 thousand dollar job. There was almost nothing in the basement. Washer dryer and one small pack of personal items

The plumber completed household projects thoroughly and skillfully. He made suggestions and advised us how to save money while completing the projects. We are very happy and would use this plumber and company again!

The job was done by 10:45pm and the three people that I interacted with along the way from order taking, dispatch, and plumber was awesome. Free estimate and no additional charges for coming out late at night or same day. Dwayne from Roto Rooter did an excellent job of executing the job quickly, being professional and clean. It's rare that you get good service anywhere anymore. This location has the people that understand how the service industry should work. Outstanding.

Not only did they complete the job timely, they also did in a less invasive way and worked through any issues and concerns we had so that ultimately we were completely satisfied with our experience. Called them out to try to get my water heater pilot light lit. I had already tried for about a half hour. Figured they had a different way to start it. They charged me $173 just to try to get it started and he tried for 10 minutes. Then tried charging me $1,200 to install a tank I would have to buy myself (another $600). I will stick with smaller local companies next time. Overpriced for convenience.

Needed immediate service and was able to schedule and get serviced the same day. Very professional and was able to point out the problem. Would definitely recommend this company.

He was able to accomplish all of our service requests in a very reasonable amount of time and was willing to share his thoughts for preventative and maintenance-related concerns moving forward. I called roto-rooter in the morning and they set up an appointment for the same day. Matt came out at 5:30pm and stayed after 9 to get the work done. He was very knowledgeable and professional, and the service was 2/3 what I was quoted by another plumber.

Save your money. A total rip-off. I called because my water heater was not heating water. I was told it was free to have the tech come out. Great.. he gets there and says, 360$ to troubleshoot. I reluctantly agree. (I dont blame the tech (plumber) its tgis company fault). After some time passes he says the thermostat is working, the heating elements have continuity so maybe it's something internal to the tank or naybe the heating elements have a build -up of calcium. He recommended a new tank install for 2700-3000$.!!! I ask if he can replace heating elements and he says, not on a tank as old as mine. The tank is 12 years old. I told him they should say that they refuse to change out bad parts before that charge you the 360$!! Save your money.. I went to Home depot and bought the elements for 29$ ,watches a few videos , drained the tank And installed them myself. Working now and saved myself from being ripped off more by roto rooter. Horrible service. Your Policies need reviewed and changed!!!!**UPDATE. it is 4 mos later and my water heater is still working perfectly. The heating elements I bought and changed out are still working great. I'm glad I didn't take the company’s advice.

We tried to use this business but are receiving such bad service they haven't even shown up yet. We can't use any plumbing at all, called yesterday at 5:00 pm. They said they'd be out in 4 hours. At 10:00 they called saying they couldn't come but would be here at 8:00 this morning. We called at 8:00 today when they didn't show and were told they should be here by noon. This is not good service!

Your plumbing service man, Larry 418, arrived on time, understood all the problems we had with our old plumbing, explained how and what needed for correcting the problems, gave us estimate of cost, then called his superior and obtained a special discount without our asking for it! Of course, we were completely in agreement and approved the given estimate. He promptly went to get needed supplies, returned in short time and proceeded to correct all the problems we had in our home. We are extremely pleased with his courteous behaviour,and knowledgeable explanations. We will definitely ask Roto-Rooter Plumbing to come back again, if and when we encounter any plumbing problem. Well, let me start by saying the technician was helpful and very nice, as was his supervisor who stopped by, but less then 5 hours later the entire problem of sewage backing up into our basement was happening again. We were told there was a problem outside the city will need to address, but that we could use our water and lines were clear. We used lines minimal as we were not in the afternoon/evening.

We were faced with a sewer emergency on a weekend during which we also hosted 6 guests from out of state. The initial representative we spoke with was very professional and thorough, calm, and ready to gather all essential information necessary for the team to help us. Within the same conversation she was also able to inform us that there was a likely probability the team would be able to be on site within the following 1-2 hours. Once we received the email confirmation, we also received the telephone calls alerting us of the timing of their arrival. Great service and a hard worker. Came within 2 hours of calling and assessed/ gave a quote on our broken faucet situation for free. The tech that came to help with our plumbing issue was great! Very polite and courteous. He fixed the problem with our toilet that was not flushing properly. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because the price for the repair was a little on the high end.

Roto Rooter came out to my home to fix my garbage disposal because it wasn't draining properly. They sent who I believe to be the best technician ever, Ted (#1700). Chuck and his crew from the North Royalton location were awesome! Initially, we thought we would have to pay a huge amount of money to have a clean-out installed in our sanitary line, but Chuck's competence and expertise was a godsend as he was able to locate the buried existing clean-out, and saved us almost $5,000.00! This is the first review that I have ever written regarding any kind of service. Tech 69, Isai, was absolutely amazing. He knew what the problem was immediately and fixed it in an expeditious manner. We need regular cleaning to get rid of roots in our lines. Roto-rooter has been our go to for the last couple years. Always professional and very clean. Usually able get here the same day we call and the one time it was an emergency, they were here in a couple of hours.

Drake 1255 showed up within the stated time frame and did an excellent job of explaining what he could do and the cost involved. After the requested work was done, he explained what else was probably needed and offered a discount if I decided to proceed in the future.

Technician (Vernon L.) gave me attitude when I requested that he wear his mask to work. He said he was fully vaccinated and preferred to work without wearing a mask. He did not wear gloves when initially checking the problem (touched disposal switch, cabinet doors, etc. without gloves). He also did not wear gloves when doing paperwork. All of this goes against Roto-Rooter's Zero Contact Policy that is advertised on their website. In addition, we feel the cost of service ($415 less $75 discount) was excessive for the work performed - unclogging a drain. We will not use Roto-Rooter again and will use a local plumber instead.

I contacted Roto Rooter after seeing sewage backup from the floor drain in my basement. They were originally supposed to come between 10-12, they didn’t come until after 4 PM. I also didn’t receive a phone call to let me know someone was running late. After the plumber came, there was even more sewage in my basement and they explained they cannot clean it up. This entire situation was very stressful and frustrating and I felt that both the plumber and field supervisor were rude and unprofessional. The additional sewage led me to working with the water restoration team. The team came, cleaned the sewage and left large fans and dehumidifiers. The fans were left for about 3 days. On the final day, I went to my basement to look at the clean up. I noticed that there was additional sewage that overflowed from the floor drain. This was less than 5 days after Roto Rooter originally came to my house. The water line on my washing machine also became disconnected when they were doing the clean up. I was unaware of this and had water overflowing from my washing machine after turning it on. When I contacted Roto Rooter, I spoke with the water restoration manager. She was both rude and unprofessional and made me feel like this was my fault. I also received a call from her supervisor, but never received any follow up.After identifying the underlying problem, Roto Rooter gave me a quote for the repairs. At this point, I was beyond frustrated both with the service and customer service from Roto Rooter. They had come to my house 5+ times. I contacted another plumbing company for a second opinion. They immediately recognized the issue and scheduled service to fix the issue. They also provided relief in the interim before the service could be completed. Roto Rooter was going to charge me almost 10 times what the new plumber charged me.Bottom line, do NOT contact Roto Rooter. Terrible customer service and grossly overcharges.

My bathtub and all plumbing backed up last night. I called Roto-rooter and they were able to out within 2 hrs of my call. Camden was great and walked me through everything. He figured out the issue quickly and my house was back to normal quickly. Very grateful!

Super helpful and kind. I knew there was a leak that had previously been fixed, but suddenly there was water again. The plumber looked and he didn’t find an issue at first. I asked him to try a couple more things. He was happy to hear me out and look in spots that weren’t obvious. Low and behold we found the gasket of the overflow drain was installed backward and causing the new problem. I’m grateful he didn’t insist there wasn’t an issue and that he was willing to think creatively to help me solve the problem. It is always worth a lot to me when a contractor believes me.

so I actually had this company come out to check my main sewarge line because is was slow draining. They ran a snake and couldn't get it unclogged manager came out to run the Camara but couldn't see nothing but that there was a hard blockage and didn't now what it was. Stated that the work I needed would coast me from 10,000 to 11,000 to fix my problem with out trying other options feels like they just want to make money one way or another I was charged 457 dollars to to expose the main sewerage line. I had some one else come out and fix the issue for less then a 1000 dollars.

Camden and his supervisor were great. They came on the same day to try to fix our problem. They were transparent about everything and needing to come back with more equipment the next day. They came back and took care of everything to get us back up and running.

Roto Rooter responded quickly, fixed the problem, (for now).The price is $20,000.00 for drain pipes, toilet, subterrain sewer pipe repairs. I found that shocking! There was also a four foot mound of debris left on the lawn from the excavation which I now must deal with. I was told there would be settling, but our yard should have been returned to useable at RR expense.

I really appreciate Dan explaining and making a new home owner like myself aware of certain things that will assist me in making my water and gas dryer more efficient. My only issue was how the company took to came to my house but the plumber explained that they were short staff. I like that he knew what he was doing and the entire thing didn’t take a long time.

Dan #3239 came over when my sewer was backed up on a Sunday. I can’t speak more highly than any plumber I’ve ever used. I tried the “cheap” guys before and it’s just not the same. The level of professionalism, knowledge, and hard work ethic is difficult to replicate. Dan went so far above my expectations and I can’t thank him enough! I don’t do very many reviews, but I wish I would of found Dan sooner so I could of used him the last time as well. Also, he was just a good person and we talked a lot and got along very well with him. Very, very happy customer!

Our plumbing issue was a sudden and emergent event. We have insurance for these type of issues through the city water/sewer department-they couldn’t have cared less and told us that because it happenned on a weekend, we would have to wait until possibly Monday-MAYBE! The people at Roto-Rooter could not have been any nicer and understanding; starting with the person who answers the customer service phone, the dispatcher, and of course, the gentlemen who came to the house (our problem took a couple of days to resolve). Compromised pipe in foundation. Water proofed basement flooded. Roto-Rooter to the rescue! They came out that day, found the issue, worked with me as far as what was discovered and how they would repair, as well as handle the water restoration. It was a hard pill to swallow considering I really love my house. Jason was a voice of reason and was able to get me the financing I would need to pay for repair and restoration. Thank god I qualified for financing (another lesson as to why it's a necessity to maintain good credit). Kyle was 1st guy to come out and snake sewer line to discover the breach. He was very cool and professional. Mike, one of the plumbers (forgot the other plumbers names please forgive) was beyond cool (as where the others) extremely cordial, professional and timely - which at that time being in panic mode, was what I needed. I'm happy that I won't see them again (hopefully lol), but well worth it in the end. Remember most back door or friend plumbers don't offer guarantees if something goes wrong in the future. Had a nasty backed up toilet and had to get to work in two hours. Called RotoRooter, and the gentleman (Eric) was there in 45 minutes. Quick, efficient, polite, friendly...everything was terrific. Took care of the problem in no time. I wish all service people were as good. It wasn't cheap, but well worth the cost. It was the first time I've used RotoRooter and, if I can get Eric again, they'll be the first I call next time there's a problem.

When the young men came to my home for a plumbing issue in the basement all three times they were nothing but respectful. The first night they came they came out and saw what was going on said it would be a 5 hour job and would have to come back another day. They got here the following day and they spent hours trying to fix the problem in the basement. These guys didn’t leave till almost 12am. He said ma’am we have one problem fixed it you are able to use all of your rubbing water now but you can’t use the washer because it will back the basement up. I said okay well what do we do about that. He said I will come back out tomorrow and work on that. AS I was pulling in my driveway him and his partner were already at the house working on the. Last problem. They Spent maybe two hours working on that system however they resolved all of my issues with no complaints just sweat and tears.

I was looking to find a plumber that is especially careful with cleanliness when snaking through the drain in the basement all the way to the street because in the past I had to spend much time, money and effort to clean up after the plumber. I finally found the right crew just call Roto Rooter and ask for Kevin (#5040) and Mat (#3281) they were O. C . D. with cleanliness did an excellent job for a decent price!!!

Randy (Tech 613) was the true professional. He was able to resolve our problem quickly and made sure he kept our house clean. He showed great empathy to our problem. He provided first class service. We have used Roto-Rooter Plumbing on several occasions and have never been disappointed with the service.

Have used Roto Rooter for years - older home with invasive tree roots that cause blockage. Always excellent service, prompt, fairly priced. Larry is wonderful and is never satisfied until everything is perfect.

Doug knew immediately how to repair both of my toilets. He quickly completed the repairs. Both of my toilets are flushing better than they have in a long time. He’s a skilled plumber.

It really SUCKS to walk downstairs and find out that “stuff” you thought you flushed away forever has paid you yet another visit…in a very untimely and unsanitary kind of way!!!! However, calling Roto-Rooter made this unpleasant situation much more bearable. They were very helpful on the phone and our technician arrived on time the next morning ( thank goodness!). Doug was very professional and informed me of his plan to find the issue. He was able to find the issue, discuss it with my husband and I, explain his plan to get things back to normal and answered all our questions. He was very friendly and informative. He completed the tasks and made sure we were satisfied with the results. He cleaned up after the job was completed. He offered some very helpful tips to prevent “unwanted visits” in the future. Had the pipe coming out of our well pump crack early Friday morning. Called at 7:30 a.m. and had a plumber at our house by 8:30 a.m. Matt (#4439) was professional, followed CDC guidelines, answered all of my questions, and explained what needed replaced. I was quoted a price plus parts, and when the parts came back more expensive than he originally thought, he gave me a discount to stay within our original agreement. Will definitely use their services in the future should the need arise!

We had a gutter downspout that was clogged below the ground level. They removed the clog, were prompt, very professional, and left things clean. I will definitely use them again.

Multiple visits. Unresponsive to customers. Water overflow in basement could have been avoided if proper work was completed at first visit and customers listened to. Over ten calls to roto rooter needed. Requested call back from technician 6 times no calls. Then finally after issue rectified we were charged more money with a discount. This was again after I need to schedule another technician to come out after damage done. This time was set up for 8:15-10:15. They showed up at 12:54. Then being charged more money after the technician said “we are going to find a way to replace this for free.” We even overheard a call with supervisor by technician with factually not accurate information. After that call we are told “we will discount the labor”. Although the technicians apologized multiple times for recognized errors, there seem to be many opportunities for improvement in this company at multiple levels. Listen to the customers when they tell you about your backup subpumps....they know their home!

On a Sunday I woke up to my powder room being flooded. A pipe under the upstairs bathroom sink was leaking. I scheduled an appointment online and Jamie was immediately here. Jamie provided a clear explanation of what was going on and walked me through what was done to resolve the issue. Jamie is quick and delivers high quality work.

Greg was the absolute best. He went above and beyond. I got completely screwed over by the previous home owner and he worked tirelessly for me for 2 days straight trying to set it right. We recently had Roto-Rooter replace several toilets. The plumber, Rich (#2338), came to our house, gave us a free estimate including parts, labor and discounts. On the day of the installation, Rich was punctual and installed everything to our complete satisfaction. Rich is an excellent plumber and a good listener and communicator, answering all our questions to ensure that we were totally satisfied. He was careful to cleanup after the job was completed. Rich is professional, diligent and courteous. We would highly recommend Roto-Rooter and Rich for any plumbing needs.

Every interaction we had with Roto-Rooter during this service was courteous and professional. A line had clogged, backing up into a basement toilet, shower, and sink. It was a big, dirty job for late on a Friday afternoon, but Kyle and Ben worked for hours and persisted until the blockage was cleared. They were respectful of our home (who knew you could put booties on the wheels of a trolly to keep the floors clean?), and cleaned up carefully after the job was done. Even though the job persisted well past dinner on a Friday night, Kyle and Ben were kind and pleasant throughout the whole process. Scheduling was easy and the price was fair. We will definitely call them again if needed!

I asked for Corey again because he was first class. He was first class again! He had another person with him who was shadowing him and he (Josh) was excellent too.

Called on Monday to make an appointment to have an underground sewer pipe camera inspectionTuesday, an employee arrives, but says his machine wasn't working, and would need someone to help him do to the camera inspection. He gave us a document with Roto-Rooter letterhead, carbon copy, that quotes the work for 398.00. The work specifies that it will come with a video link.On Wednesday, another employee calls, says he will arrive in 30 minutes, and that the price is 435.00 and that we should have our own flash drive, or otherwise, they cannot record the inspection.He said that this wasn't changing the price nor conditions last minute, and took no responsibility for the person who came the day before and who gave us a lower price, on their company letterhead.They ended up not honoring their price and just didn't come.

Our primary sanitary line was not draining properly. Rene arrive promptly and was very polite and professional to snake and perform a preliminary assessment. He coordinated with his supervisor who arrived and together concluded on the necessary repairs. Rene communicated well with me throughout the process.

We had a blockage in our septic line. I called Roto-Rooter at 11:00 pm and they scheduled a service call the next morning between 10:00 am-2:00 pm. Matt the service tech arrived at 10:30 am tried for 2 hrs. to open up the drain, to no avail. He then called in the camera and found that there was a defect in the line. Matt started digging and in a few hours had a temporary fix so we could use our bathroom that night. He came back the next morning and did the permanent repair. All through this stressful situation Matt was very courteous and professional in his interaction with my wife and I. Issue wasn't found. I was beat out of $175. Didn't accept my coupon either..Horrible experience and a hole was cut in my wall and they still never found the reason I was having drain flies. I was told that I had blockage in my sanitation pipe outside which was an $11,000 fix and was told that was only way to remove drain flies which was incorrect. No camera nor test were ran to determine that. I'm so upsetAlso, beware any blockage or outside sewer issue is an city issue that they will come address for FREE. Don't get cheated or beat out of money like I did and still have your initial issue. Good luck..

My technician Rick was extremely informative and polite. He was also very mindful not to make a mess in my home. Not only did he come out on Sunday but he didn't have the part he needed to fix my leaking water valve so he went to Lowes and grabbed one and came right back and had it changed in no time at all. I would definitely recommend Roto-Rooter, and I will be using them again.

We had sewage coming up from the basement floor drain and very slow draining water. The city was out to clean the main line from outside. They could not help. The tech named Kyle was confident that the issue was a blockage from the main line. He was absolutely correct!!! He cleaned out tree roots and had everything fixed very quickly.

We were extremely pleased with the way Scott took care of our minor plumbing leak. He was careful, clean and efficient and he did the repair exactly the way that we wanted it done. His personality, with his pleasant demeanor, was refreshing too. Great job!

Shane (service #2401) was great! We had an old pipe in an awkward place in our attic that was leaking in our kitchen. When Shane arrived, we also had other service people installing smoke detectors and it was hectic. Shane was quick, professional and courteous, having to wait a few times while I handled other service peoples questions. He even had a special saw and had to lay in the middle of installation to fix the problem and did it in record time! Two thumbs up - we'll continue to rely on RR for all our problems.

I used Rotor Rooter to camera my sanitation drain to the street. I was remodeling my basement and before I put in a new floor I wanted to make sure the drains were clean. They were on time and very professional. I would use them again.

We had a big plumbing problem, water and sewage shooting out of our shower drain. Matt came to our house and fixed the problem. He explained everything he did, had to remove the toilet and snake the drain. He gave us a great deal, and provided excellent service. My experience with Arya #3978 was very good. He was thorough in explaining every detail for what needed to be done. Michael #1258 had to join him the second day to complete the work. They both were polite and courteous. Both let me know every step of work that had to be done and took out the time to show me what was the issue that caused my plumbing problem. I do have other work to be done and I will be requesting them for the job.

I was very pleased with the service that the team at Roto Rooter provided. From the dispatcher who had space that day, to the team of Dan, Mike, and Kris - all were professional, helpful in answering questions, and upfront about what they were doing. My wife is 8 months pregnant and for them to be able to come over on short notice and clear up a clog in our sewer line was a lifesaver just before the Christmas holiday. Lost a small down the toilet. After an initial investigation, it seemed to have passed through the toilet. Mario took the time to go through as much of the plumbing as possible, testing the various points where we might experience backup. He was super thorough, thoughtful, and professional. Not that I hope for any more plumbing issues, but I'd be glad to work with him again.

I had a clogged sewer pipe in my basement. Shane came out and was very clear in his explanation of the problem so that I actually understood. He was very thorough in clearing out the main sewer line. Our Roto-Rooter, was very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. He explained to my husband what he wanted to do, and did that. Checking all our drains to make sure they were open when he finished. He called his supervisor to take a picture of the drain to make sure it was open to the sewer, the picture showed that there was a problem at the city side of the drain, that could have caused our blocked. Water backup twice from the basement floor drain. My handyman used a 75ft cable to snake it and failed. Called Roto-Rooter and last night. They sent Camden over this morning. He is very punctual and professional. He found the cause - the sewer line was completely clogged up by tampons pads and wipes. I just sent a warning letter to my tenants. Greatly appreciate Camden for doing a good work!

Finding a pipe leak at midnight is not fun. I called and was able to get some one to come out Monday morning by 9 am. First I received a confirmation call at 7:45 and Dylan arrived to my phone at 8:46. He was very nice and professional, he came it, listened to my issue, went to my basement to check it out and then talked to me to explain what he could do to fix the issue. He explained things well, wrote up an estimate, checked his truck for what he needed, saw he was missing what he needed. Told he he would go and get the stuff and come back. He returned in an hours time, got to work and did a solid job. He showed me his work, we checked it together and things were fine. Thank you Dylan, great job.

His overall insurance to my family members was more than commendable and he didn't rush the job in my home to get to the next job.
