Just about got rear ended by an aggressive driver from this company who was making hand gestures and being an impatient jackass, because I slowed down for some rough uneven railroad tracks. I’ll be calling them to file a complaint.

We moved into our new build home in the fall of 2020. Romanoff was the company contracted by our builder. After move in - we wanted to have the wall above our fireplace wired to hang our TV. Our next-door neighbors (who have the IDENTICAL floorplan to our home) had just had Romanoff do this just weeks prior. They were quoted $180 and paid $180.
Fast forward to our experience - we too were quoted $180 - but when the bill came due - we were charged $330. Not only this, the technician who came to do the job literally said that he didn't know how to do the wiring above the fireplace (?!) and my husband had to WALK HIM NEXT DOOR to inspect the job that had been done at our neighbor's house just a few weeks prior.
When attempting to contact Romanoff to discuss our concerns - we were given the run around for LITERAL MONTHS (roughly 5 months to be exact). When I finally was able to speak with the Division Manager - he tried to explain the discrepancy by stating that our job took an hour or so longer and thus cost more. He went on to state that labor cost ~$50 per hour. When I commented that $180 + $50 equaled ~230 and NOT $330 - he was unable and unwilling to provide an explanation for the difference in cost. I additionally expressed my frustration that the job took longer to complete, because the technician had to be WALKED NEXT DOOR to our neighbors' home to inspect their job. He had no comment for this. Not only this - he was incredibly rude and told me that I was frustrated only because I wasn't getting my way. They ended up refunding us an arbitrary $70 - but even then, wrote the check to the wrong name and were very difficult when we requested a check with the correct name.
We will NEVER hire Romanoff again. We sincerely felt as though we were scammed and would never recommend their services to anyone.
I didn't use them personally but I overheard a conversation and the guy was rude. Seems like he got a position and it has gone to his head like he's trying to prove something.

Employee and Company supposedly but it wants to act like it's two different companies everybody passes the buck everybody blames everybody else it's a terrible place to work a terrible place to visit and a lot of people just absolutely hate their job.
Called this company because one of their drivers was speeding through town, driving very aggressively.
Thus, I wanted to let them know, I would never hire them for work. If their people drive like that, they probably work the same way. No way would I hire them.

Previous reviews talk about their drivers. They obviously don’t care too much about it since they haven’t responded to those reviews or to me reaching out to them directly to complain. I was trying to drive safely past daycare facilities and their drivers speed and drive recklessly instead. I can’t trust that their drivers care much about anything else if they’re willing to treat others badly. Will never turn to this company for future work.

Our A/C died 2 weeks ago when it was about 100 degrees out. John from Romanoff came out and got us back up and running temporarily. Our system in the house we just bought was 45 years old!!! There was a leak and a burned up compressor and compacitor. We opted to have the whole thing replaced. However, there was a warranty company involved that took their sweet time getting things approved and sending a second opinion out to double check things. Turns out, John's findings were accurate! The guy the warranty company sent out took the whole thing apart and broke some other items and then LEFT IT THAT WAY when he left!!! When we called Romanoff back we told them what the warranty company had done and John went above and beyond and came back out to get the system patched back up and running as best as he could and put everything back together again...since John went well above and beyond and was so kind and quick when came out the first time and fixed us back up the second time due to a bad tech from our warranty company, we requested he install our new system. We had our new upgraded system installed yesterday and John did a fantastic job! Teresa from their office even called mid-day and end of day to see how things were going and make sure everything was to our satisfaction. This company gave us a great price and great service and went above and beyond to make sure we were WELL taken care of. John did a great job and we really appreciate everything you all did! Thank you John and Teresa!!! We are happy to have found you guys!

Romanoff Electric had come by yesterday to check out the outlets in the garage.The electrician was very rude, not helpful at all as he did not tell us anything he was doing, did not ask permission if he could do anything, and clogged around with his wet shoes in our house (it's common courtesy for those working in houses to have those shoe covers to slip over shoes). He at one point went down to the basement on the carpet and started flipping switches and not telling us anything that was going on- again with his wet shoes When he left, he left all the panel doors open that he was working on. Super unprofessional and an encounter like this ruins the day. I hope those evaluating these reviews really take this into consideration and avoid a mistake with this group.
Very poor customer service. Recently built a home with MI Homes and Romanoff is the only electrical contractor for MI. My issue revolves around customer service and following up on errors that have been made. I understand that issues happen, but it is not necessary to have to call/email 5 different times in regard to a minor error that needed fixed in the home. We laid out what needed to be done with a light fixture of ours, multiple times before the installation was completed. The fixture was installed wrong, 3 months ago, and is still not fixed. Project Manager is very poor at following up and actually getting it completed. We would do it ourselves but we can't touch electrical items in the house or it voids our warranty with Romanoff.
Also, didn't appreciate going to Crystal Clear Audio and having them tell me that Romanoff shouldn't be selling you those items, they are not worth it.
We were confirmed for an appointment today for installation of Smarthub, they never showed and when we called them they let us know that we were never put on the schedule, although we had an email confirming this.
Pricing is also outrageous for installation costs, which you have to use because again if you install anything on your own your warranty is voided.
Overall, if you're building a house with MI, be careful with Romanoff. Customer service is poor, follow up is terrible, sales practices are not fair.
5/11/2020 drives have no respect for others. Cut us off twice driving up to 90 mph on I-270 nearing I-71 north Columbus. I see other comments about their drivers too. If they cannot be kind to others what makes one thing they would care about their service as well. I’ll go with Atlas Butler for all my HVAC needs. And a report will be filed with the Police as I have photos and licenses plate.

Observed one of their vehicles operating dangerously and illegally.
After getting an initial diagnosis from a different company and an estimate of $7300-$8400 (with a veteran discount), we called Romanoff to get a second opinion. We really didn’t want a full replacement unless it was needed because we’re looking to move in a year or so (which I explained to the other company multiple times). John from Romanoff came out and got things working in 20 minutes. He’s ordering the other parts and will be back out to complete the job. John even told me that some parts didn’t really need to be replaced, but if I chose to have some new components he would order those too.
The other company left us without AC the past few days to pressure the sale of an entire system, and even wanted me to replace my inside heat/air handler system that is only three years old.
If you want results instead of pressure sales, call Romanoff first.

One of the best companies i have ever worked for. Always felt safe with the crew and polices. Never felt cheated or used by the company. There is a reason it is voted one of the best places to work. They have a summer meeting and give away some awesome prizes .
Winter bonus, too.
The HR team is very proactive and helpful, with a forward thinking attitude would not be afraid of discrimination with this company. Great place for apprentices to become journeymen and i jeard yhe office staff have a lot of fun too.
Insurance is awesome. Very few places i have worked have i been able to afford full benefits but Romanoff had a lot of options that helped out a lot. The quality pf work is top notch too , never saw a cheated job . A lot of pride and a lot of carring about the work done.
Hired Romanoff to install light fixtures, a ceiling fan and various other projects for our brand new condo. Kurt from their team arrived early and was extremely professional and helpful. He made some suggestions to make things more effective; then allowed us to run to Lowe's and get some extra assessories. I would hesitate to recommend them.
All the work they have done my new house has been top notch. Their estimates have been reasonable. Will definitely use them again.

One of their drivers tried to run me off the road and almost succeeded this morning. I couldn’t get the license plate number. But it was in Columbus, Ohio at 6:54 on I270 N headed toward the E Broad exit. I’m sure he was headed to work in Gahanna. I’m calling their office as soon as they open this morning.
