Mr. Electric of Columbus

This was a remarkable recovery effort by Mr Electric. They missed my original appointment and sent a technician when I wasn’t available later in the evening. I spoke with the technician and he was very sorry about the situation and told me he would have someone at the house the next morning. The tech arrived the next morning as promised and completed the work in less than 30min charging a fair price. Recommend if a tech gets stuck and can’t make the scheduled appointment time to call and communicate the delay. I ended up calling the office and was told I needed to reschedule for the next day. There needs to be proactive communication from Mr Electric when there are delays.

James arrived on time and was courteous, friendly, clean, efficient and professional. He wasted no time getting started installing a ceiling fan that I had purchased for my kitchen. He did an excellent job and the finished job looks great. I would have him return for any needed future work.

They emailed me a picture of the electrician who was coming. Which was nice so I knew who to expect. He was very clean when he worked. Was very fast. And everything works great. If I had any other electrical problems, I would definitely call Mr. electric.

I've a manager of a large business and had set up for an electrician to come out to do several jobs at our facility as well as get some quotes for a bigger job that will be coming up later this spring. I had a 2-hour window that the technician was supposed to arrive between 8:00 and 10:00. They called and said that he would be here in a half hour at 10 min till 8:00 in the morning. He arrived at 8:15. I was assisting clients in the lobby and was unable to take him back immediately to show him where the issues were. It was two or three customers I had to help and had been 10 minutes while he was standing waiting. I had one more client to help and then I was going to show him where the issues were and he told me I had to reschedule. I said really? I thought we were paying you by the hour so that it would be okay for you to wait another couple minutes. He then said it's already been 10 minutes. At that point I told him he could leave and I no longer wanted to use the services that his company provided. I also told him I would reach out to his supervisor and he said that's fine I'm going to do that too. I did reach out to them and asked if this was normal for their company and they explain that it was not. The technician's name was Ryan C. And all of my years of management and dealing with different technicians and facility repairs I have never been treated so unprofessionally and rude in my life. I know he's probably a great electrician and good at what he does but his professionalism needs some serious retuning. If he worked for me I would definitely have him on a final write up if he wasn't fired. Won't be using Mr electric anymore.

David was awesome he was so professional he explained what he was doing he was respectful. I had a horrible time with my home warranty company for the past 8 weeks when the finally said I could get my own company I'm so glad I called Mr electric. They gave me a next day appointment. Davis was on time and represented this company well. You want the job done right call Mr electric and request David!

James was professional, knowledgable, and respectful. He came out the day I called. He diagnosed our problems quickly and made the repairs to one outlet and two light fixtures just as quick. He explained everything clearly at my level. He was also very kind to my elderly dad who followed him around relentlessly. Great value as well. I will definitely call Mr. Electric for my next electrical installations or repairs.

Josh was extremely helpful, and was able to quickly diagnose the problem with a 20+ year old ceiling fan. We purchased a new one, and Josh came back the next day for the installation. Professional, pleasant, and respectful of our property. He let us know up front what the cost would be, and that quote was what we paid.Definitely recommend!!!

I submitted an appointment request online yesterday evening and had an electrician here by this morning. Jeff Karmosay did a great job, highly recommend him and using Mr. Electric. He thoroughly explained all that was needed to fix the problem and then got to work! An overall excellent experience!!

I had a circuit breaker that kept tripping. Josh from Mr Electric was able to quickly diagnose that the problem was bad wiring on an old exterior post light. He was able to schedule to replace the bad wiring and install a new post light three days later. Josh was very thorough and respectful of my property and time. Will definitely use Mr. Electric/Josh for any future projects.

James and his partner were very professional and arrived earlier than expected. My wife and I were very pleased with their work. They did a great job and are very knowledgeable. I e-mailed Mr Electric on Sunday night, and 12 hours later my electrical issue was fixed. Our technician, Eric was Fast, friendly, and professional. He even indulged my doggies with some pets when the barged in to say hello. They will definitely be my fist call for any electrical needs in the future.

Very happy customer! The company sent me an email with a picture of Josh and the lines of communication were awesome. Josh came out yesterday to give us a free estimate on: ceiling fan and light install; outlet replacement; installation of motion light switch for pantry door; new installation of electrical outlet. He itemized everything and the price was much better than a competitor. My husband and I decided to have the work done and Josh had an opening today! He came out prepared and got right to work. He tackled the new outlet install first. Sadly, there was an obstruction in the attic that would not allow for the electric line to be installed through the attic. Josh explained the other option, which I did not want to pursue (a trench in the wall and going through studs), so we decided not to have the new outlet done. The other jobs were finished and when I asked if they offered a discount, Josh said “yes” and applied it. We would definitely use Mr. Electric again…..thanks, Josh!

The context is that we had moved to a new home, surrounded by chaos, were unloading boxes, and a new washer and dryer arrived. It appeared to me the plug and socket didn't match. I wanted laundry up and running asap and believed I needed a new socket.I called Mr. Electric. They said they could send someone the next morning, and sooner if possible. Throughout the next day they called regularly to update us about delays. The worker showed up the following day.It turned out I was wrong about the socket and plug not matching. The young man was very professional in advising me respectfully and without making me feel anymore stupid than I already felt.He offered to attach the cable to the dryer and told me the cost if I he did. I thought the price was quite high, but decided to have him do it to finish the set up.He completed the job in a professional and timely manner. He showed empathy for my situation and, after exchanging pleasantries.In summation, not timely, good quality, a bit expensive.

I had Mr. Electric come out two years ago to do diagnostic testing, install a fan, light switches, and fix outlets that were no longer working. I had a terrible experience which included an employee falling through my attic ceiling, making mistakes with the projects, and having to come out multiple times to fix things. They installed outlets to only work when a switch was turned on which was not agreed upon. They were not punctual and between all the visits it took about a month. One of the outlets that Mr. Electric fixed stopped working and I had to have a new company come out to repair the wiring. In addition, the new company made me aware that many things are not up to code, whereas Mr. Electric didn't mention this at all. It was such a negative experience and a waste of money. I am deeply disappointed and now will have to invest even more money into fixing Mr. Electric's mistakes and shortcomings. I wish I had saved my money and never booked Mr. Electric. I would highly discourage anyone from booking with Mr. Electric.

The techs, James and his trainee (D___?) were polite, professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They installed exactly what wiring I needed for a new induction cook top according to the specs required. They also saw a piece of exposed wiring in the renovation area close to where they were working that they determined was live so they taped it up for safety. Upon seeing how uneasy I was that there was an exposed live wire, they looked around the kitchen reno area and saw several others that needed electrical tape applied. They took care of taping them which eased my anxiety. I can't explain how much I appreciated their concern for not only exactly what/how my new wiring needed to be, but also about my safety. I will be needing some further electrical work in the near future and I would definitely like to have these techs back. I highly recommend Mr Electric and it is the ONLY place I will call!!

It’s always a pleasure when someone is happy about doing their job. Ben was extremely thorough and walked us through everything. When you have a man like him working for you, it’s understandable why your business is a success.

Mr. Electric is my new go-to electrician. Very impressed with David and Lyndsay today! They were punctual, professional, and knowledgeable while troubleshooting some of my “DIY gone wrong” attempts. All fixed within 2 hours, and the bill was affordable for the expertise help. I’m so glad I called them!

Horrible experience and I do not recommend. I received a call from their dispatch over an hour after appointment time to tell me they have to reschedule. I requested and received a quote for installation of a a new 200 amp electrical box. They tried to install a 150 amp box and when I called this out I was given push back from tech.After I insisted they install what was quoted or I would take my business elsewhere, they began the work. A supervisor showed up halfway through the installation and while on site he had a heated phone call with a coworker that included fowl language in earshot of my 12 year old niece and 80 year old mother. I also had an exterior light installed and they gave more pushback when I requested where I wanted the switch placed. They left a mess inside my home that included cigarette butts on my floor. After installation I was told an inspection with the city was scheduled for a specific date. When I called the day before to confirm, they said it had not been scheduled. I missed several days of work because of their incompetence. I have nothing good to say about Mr Electric and do not recommended their services under any circumstance. I have several more upcoming electrical jobs and will take by business elsewhere.

Extremely professional and punctual. Completed the work in a timely fashion and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. I would recommend James and the Mr Electric crew to anyone looking for quality electric work.

TL;DR rough start but extremely happy overallWe bought a house built in the 1950s with chaotic and sometimes unsafe wiring. We had someone come out, take a look at what needed done and give us a quote. They told us they would do the work, and that it would be a one day job, two max if they didn’t have someone helping them. Was able to schedule to have him come out a week later. On the day of service, we were assigned a different electrician who, after looking at everything, said the first guy unfortunately missed a few big things and the work would be an extra $3,000 to have it all done safely. We got a personal loan to cover the initial quote, and absolutely did not have $3,000 extra to put into the project. After speaking with the manager of that team, they agreed to do all of the extra work for only $900 more and were very apologetic about the confusion from the beginning. Shram, the electrician who actually did the work, was AMAZING. If we ever hire Mr. Electric again, we will specifically be asking to have him do the work. He was meticulous, explained everything, and put in long hours outside on 90 degree days doing work by himself that was meant to be done by a team of two. The work ended up taking 3 days (approximately 31 hours) and he was nothing but kind, hardworking and apologetic the whole time. I want to keep writing about how fantastic Shram is at his job, but the review is already too long. If you hire Mr. Electric, ask for Shram, but not too often, cuz we want to make sure he’s available to do more work for us in the future!

My Mr Electric was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable of his job and was very respectful of my home. He was very courteous and I felt very safe with him in the home with me alone.

As long as you use Dave a young man who really knew his job very well today is the first day I will do another review in a week good workers like that are hard to find so give him a raise.p.s. I will use him for all my electrical needs very nice and professional.

Tech was wonderful, friendly and all about his business. He made my day. He kept me updated on surprise findings and offered suggestions. I am always pleased to have work competed by your company.

Scott was very thorough and explained what my options were. I made the decision to have the relay replaced acknowledging that this may not slove the issue. I will be able to take it from here with the understanding that I have a ground fault problem. Thank you!

My office suffered a leak and the carpet was wet. While running fans and dehumidifiers in a Saturday my outlet blew. I desperately needed the outlet fixed to keep the fans going to dry everything out. Mr. Electric had someone out within the hour of my call to replace the outlet. My electrician Cody Cooper was awesome and very friendly. The cost was a littler higher compared to local electricians but the availability and speed of arrival and work on a Saturday was well worth it.

I've used this company multiple times. I'm near Fremont but my invoices say blacklick, so I'm reviewing here. Chris was our technician. Very nice, professional, helpful and thorough.

James and Kevin did a really good job. Worked quickly and efficiently. Cleaned up after themselves. Did an extra outlet I asked for same day. I will have them back.

Their skill level isn’t much more than a high school shop class. I requested that they unhook a floor radiant heating connection 2 wired too much for them. So surprised.

Employee showed up within the hour. Very friendly and observed the situation. Got right on it and found the problem and fixed it. Very friendly and knowledgeable. And was gone in an hour. I had a light fixture to be replaced in my 17 ft vaulted ceiling. The crew did the job with no issues and their ladder didn't even scuff my floor. I appreciated their good-naturedness as well.

The Mr. Electric staff installed a junction box and extended a circuit line to provide a service line to a new mini split heat pump unit.

My electrician was very nice and professional and explained what he was doing and why and finished his job in a very timely manner.

Josh came out and found our one smoke detector was dying on us. He put in a new one and made sure it was working ok before he left. Everything has been fine so far.

Inground electric cables pulling away from meter box. The Mr. electric technician Scott came out right away same day and look over the job and help me make arrangements with the electric company came out at appointed time got the work done in an actual shorter time then originally estimated to save me about $300

I chose this place because they had free estimates. They had a couple cancellations and came out about an hour after I called. I needed an outlet repaired, and while I could've done it myself, I decided not to spend the time and worry on me.Anyway, the electrician was very friendly and down-to-earth and answered a few questions I had about other stuff. He replaced the outlet right away. I'll be calling this company back when I'm ready for more electrical repairs.

I had kind of a mixed experience with Mr. Electric. I honestly choose them because of there online reputation for a whole home generator purchase and install. The Intel initial consultation went well. Everything was explained in good detail and I felt comfortable in making the purchase.After making the purchase I was told that my generator should be in around 2 to 3 weeks. I am a person who likes to stay in the loop with things so I called for a status update on the second week and the sales agent I had been working with seemed to be giving me lots of attitude for calling to check in. I was basically told don't call us we will call you when it comes in.It came in about 6 weeks, and they scheduled the install quickly. The technicians who came out for the install seemed very nice and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, after the install i was told the generator was defective and that they needed to put in a warranty work request with the supplier. The supplier came out a few days later and told me, the generator itself is fine it was just not installed properly. I was told the transfer switch had been installed backwards and they were unable to restore any power to my house until the switch was replaced.The tech from Mr Electric, sprinted off to try to find parts on a Friday to fix the issue that was created by his technicians. He was able to get the issue resolved and the power in general working in tandem after about an hour.Overall, I'm happy that everything is finally in a good working state, I just feel like communication between Mr Electric staff and myself could have been better.

The Technician, David Boysel, did a Fantastic Job. He initially came to restore power to my family room, and did such a Great Job explaining things to me that I asked him to come back and install an antique light that my dad assembled in my kitchen, a new light over my sink, and canless lights in my kitchen ceiling. It looks so Great! I could not have asked for a more perfect job! I love my new bright kitchen and it looks Fantastic! Thanks so much!

Mr. Electric provided great and timely service. When I had an issue with an electrical outlet burning/sparking, I called, got setup with an appointment and had the service done all within 15 hours. Ryan was the technician and did a quick and quality job.

I was extremely happy with the service I received from Mr. Electric. I used them on multiple occasions recently. Ryan was the electrician who did my work. He is excellent; obviously skilled in his profession, efficient, thorough, neat, friendly, & went out of his way to help me find the correct lighting fixture after I had purchased the wrong one. He answered any questions I had and took the time to make sure I understood the operation of each new device he installed. I will use this company in the future and highly recommend them to anyone.

I needed an outside outlet fixed. They sent an electrician out within an hour of me calling. Ben was courteous and explained things in terms I mostly understood as he went along. I most definitely will be calling Mr. Electric and requesting Ben if I ever need more electrical work done.

I scheduled an appointment for an electrician to come to my house to perform a relatively simple, straightforward job. I was told they would arrive between noon and 2:00 p.m. on the day scheduled and that they would email me the technician's name and photo beforehand (for security purposes). I had not heard from them by noon, so I called at 12:05 p.m. to confirm my appointment. I was assured that it was still set and that they would be there. However, at 1:30 p.m., they called to say they got caught up on other jobs and were not coming. They said they might be able to come the next day, but that does not work for my schedule. I told them to forget it and that I would look for a more reliable and professional company instead. I read other reviews from customers who experienced this same problem, so this was not an isolated incident. I would NOT recommend Mr. Electric!

We used Mr. Electric for a project at work. Scott was mazing, very knowledgeable, efficient and professional. Got everything accomplished on time and his work was high quality.

I called on a Saturday for an outlet that had stopped working and I did not think I would be able to have someone at my house on that day, but they were able to get someone there within a two hour time frame. He was very knowledgeable spotted the issue and also noted for me reason for the outlet stopped and a further problem I will need to repair in the future.

I highly recommend Mr. Electric! Tyler, Nick, and Adam were excellent. They were able to come out same day for a quote and schedule work within 3 business days. Their services were friendly, professional and very consultative, helping me understand the process and best recommendations as a first time homeowner. Our home inspection recommended GCFI installation and revealed a few electrical issues - Tyler was able to fix the issues almost immediately and consult with me on best practices to get our home up to code. We added LED can lights to our living room and kitchen and it looks 1000x better! I am incredibly pleased with their service and look forward to hiring them for some future projects.

I tried calling their call center direct to get a ballpark price, there was some pushback - I explained it was a 200 amp panel box replacement but it the person didn't want to help over the phone. I almost skipped them since I had three other companies I was going to reach out to (via phone / email) as well for a potential quote - like i mentioned it was an estimate request. But then I started off through messaging via Angie's List and received a call from their call center / customer support - set up a callback to get a quote via phone. The next phone call I received was from Mike Carte (Manager) whom listened to the request for a quote, got me a ballpark quote, and provided a high overview on the following steps needed for the 200 amp panel box replacement - including potential timeframe for completion. After a quick site visit, Mike took care of setting up the remainder including the permit. A couple days later Scott Pinto (Technician) arrived and within 3 hours completed the job - replacing the box, clean-up, and ensuring all connections were up/running. The following day there was one more visit for inspection. Overall, I received plenty communications via email and phone (mobile) from Mr Electric to keep me posted on each step. Great service, fair pricing ($1920 parts/labor/permit), and great communication.Knocked one star due to the initial call which in most cases consumers / customers need an guesstimate quote to help them decide if they should proceed (sometimes to even determine if it is feasible within their budget).

The breaker for the heat pump was tripping periodically. The heat pump was serviced and no problems were indicated. Next thing to do was replace the breakers. The tech, James Pinson was dispatched and arrived on time. He provided an estimate and replaced the breakers and was on his way. James was very personable and professional. Small job … but would not hesitate to use Mr. Electric again !

Needed my outside outlet looked at it wasnt working. The tech was professional and replaced my broken porch light. I will use Mr. Electric again.

If I need an electrician I will call Mr Electric and will ask for the same technician because we are very satisfied with the job. I've used Mr. Electric for a few electrical jobs over the past few years. My most recent job was having a transfer switch and a standard outlet installed right next to my electrical box. I went with Mr. Electric because they are a high profile company here in Columbus and because I've used them before. The electrician they sent out was very professional, on time and provided me with an estimate for the job. I scheduled to have the work done the next morning. As before the electrician was on time and professional. Finished the job in a few hours. All good. The only thing to be aware of if you decide to use Mr. Electric is they do a lot of advertising and unfortunately this directly transfers into higher prices. The price of the job I had done was much higher than any estimates I found online as within the normal price range. Keep in mind that there was nothing unusual with my job. Nothing that needed to be done out of the ordinary. So, if you are on a budget it might be in your favor to look to an independent electrician as long as you can verify they are certified and qualified to do the work. Overall a good experience but on the high side on price.

We had water in our panel box, the breaker that called it quits had wet wires. We had them just replace it all, they recommended the outside part also, so it wouldn’t happen again, and to get it up to code. They did a fabulous job- even hubby was impressed! They were professional, courteous and didn’t seem bothered by my sometimes annoying dog!!My only complaint was I called a couple times to ask a question, was told I’d get a call back by end of day and both times, no call. I did get a manager call the following Monday and he was able to answer. The day of service I got an email at 6:45 that they were on the way, phone call at 7:15 that they’d be here within the hour. They got here at 8:45, came to my door at 9..

Expensive. To replace 1 broken switch it was over $200. The part was probably less than $5 which means labor was over $200.

Tyler was my technician…My whole electrical panel needed replaced I asked how long it will take and he said I’ll probably be out of power for four hours to my surprise three hours and the power was back on! Very professional! Fast and efficient! He then had to install the ground wire that took a few hours but while he was doing that my power was still on I was so happyI definitely recommend Mr. Electric for all your electric issues!

The repair involved disassembly of the wires to the fan, checking for power, reprogramming the receiver to communicate with the remote & putting it back together. He then gave me a tip on what to try if it stops working again.

We had an issue with a ceiling fan coming loose. I called and they were able to send someone right out the same day. Josh got there around 5pm. He was kind and speedy getting our ceiling fan back up and running. The fan has some scratches so we asked if could give us a quote to replace. We also have some damage to the junction box so he included that in the quote. We definitely We be having him come back to take care of this. Pricing is fair. Josh got the fan up and running for the time being. Thank you so much!

I called this business, as my son recommended them. They said they could be here today, between, 10 am and noon to give me an estimate. I took the morning off of work to meet them. I got a call, at 11 am, that they were running behind, all the people were taking longer on their jobs then planned. Then they called back at noon, which is when they should have been here, and they said no one was free/able to come out still. I told them I had an appt at 1 pm (for work), and couldn't just sit here all day long waiting. They asked if I wanted to re-schedule????? Wait you are the ones that scheduled the appointment, knowing you had no one to come and give me an estimate and were just hoping someone got done early enough to come here during the 10 am to noon time to give me an estimate!!! This is not the way to do business!!! You should pay me for the four hours I sat here waiting for you to come give me just an estimate, would much prefer one on the phone, rather then coming here!! I definitely wouldn't recommend them and this is the way they conduct business!!!

If I could give them zero stars I would. I had my initial appt on 12/30. The two technicians were to install switches, some of which were dimmer. Everything went well until I noticed that my outdoor lights (which are connected to one of the switches they “installed”) stopped working. I called and requested a follow up visit. On 1/3 I had a follow up visit. He assured me that he fixed my issue. I checked the outdoor lights and they were working properly. Shortly after the tech left I noticed that the dimmer switch that was previously installed by the first two techs was not working. I immediately called and the customer service rep informed me that they would send the tech back between 1 and 3pm. By 4pm when the tech didn’t show I called back. They then dispatched two different techs (one of which had helped during the first appt). The two techs made comments about the previous tech not being a certified electrician and that he always messes things up. I ignored their sidebar conversations though I did think they were inappropriate. The techs couldn’t figure out the issue so they called their manager Adam. Adam entered my home and didnt speak, he immediately started trying to whisper to the tech who had been in my home for the last 30-45 mins. Once he realized I was staring at him, he walked over to me to say hello and give me his business card. The three techs (Adam included) continued to try and troubleshoot and eventually damaged my dimmer switch, so much so that it started to give off a foul odor and could not be used any longer. Adam acknowledged the damage and promised to order a new dimmer and refund me. I followed up with Adam via email the next day about the refund and follow up service and he proceeded to explain that he was not going to honor his word.All in all, i spent nearly $400 and am out of a dimmer switch that is very expensive (Buster and punch) and is now out of stock with the merchant.I would not recommend this company for electrical services as they have poor customer service and damaged my property.

Two very professional technicians came to troubleshoot a problem related to an outside light above the garage. I really appreciate the expertise, dedication and determination they displayed as they worked to solve the problem. They answered my questions clearly and concisely. They provided me with an estimate for additional work, and explained the details. I won't hesitate to request them again.

John was here to give me an estimate on the work that I would like to have done in the future. Because it requires him to be in the attic and with this heat we agreed that it would be best to wait till cooler weather to consider the work. Basically what he did was give me an estimate and I will say I was very impressed with his pleasant personality, his patience, and his professional attitude. First let me say that it is a great feeling to hear a smiling voice on the phone from a representative who has customer service skills. Making an appointment was easy, fast and friendly. Mr. Electric sends you email confirmation with a picture of the representative that will service your call and a call to let you know they are on their way to your location. This is the second time that Scott has serviced my issue; Scott is very professional, has great knowledge, and explains everything in detail. Scott cleans ups after the service, goes over what was accomplished, answers all questions, with respect, and gives recommendations. I am overly satisfied with Mr. Electric and the service that Scott provided. I recommend Mr. Electric for any electrical needs you may have; and having a representative like Scott for the company, surely puts a five star rating on your books.

Ivan scoped out my project to install an outdoor security light and fish an electric line to the nearest indoor outlet. He was very knowledgeable and brought good ideas to make the installation as neat and clean as possible. He was efficient and and a tidy worker who looked for my approval at each step.

The most important thing that the repairman did was be honest. He performed a diagnostic test on my outdoor outlets and saw that the only thing needed was to use the reset button. He could have said something else and I really would not have known. Nothing worse than being taken advantage of. So appreciative of the honesty.

We lost power to nearly half of our home. I contacted Mr. Electric and a team was at my home within the HOUR! I was very pleased with their professionalism and expertise on our electrical problem, which ended up being a wiring issue with an outlet. Who knew that would cause almost half our home to be without power. Not only the were here super fast, they got the job done within a few minutes and we were with power again.

After a disappointing experience with another electric company in the area, I filled out an online form to get an estimate and service from Mr. Electric. Within several hours, I received a phone call . After explaining my disappointment with the other company, the very nice rep on the phone promised an appointment within a 2-hour window (4-6 PM) on a Sunday.Flash forward to the 2-hour window. I received a phone call stating the technician was running behind and I would be kept updated when the tech was on the way.At 6:11 PM, I received a phone call that no tech would be coming and that I could reschedule for next week - the same exact scenario from the previous company that prompted my call to Mr. Electric in the first place.I rushed home after work after having had no food the entire day, to our home which is currently unfurnished, had only several bottles of water, and only metal conference chairs upon which to sit, only to hear, The home is vacant? I'm sorry. What time would you want to reschedule next week?What actual reputable company would stand up a potential customer and ask for a reschedule without some reasonable guarantee that a repeat jilt would not happen again? At this point, I'm wondering if over-promising service is the standard in this industry since two companies in two days have resulted in the same no-show.11/30/2020 - ETA: I decided to give this place another chance. To install a towel warmer, my estimate was $900. No matter how great their work might be, Mr. Electric is woefully overpriced and out of reach for most homeowners. Save your time and try a more reasonably priced company.

We needed emergency service due to another contractor's mistake. Making the appointment was easy and quick and the customer service rep was very helpful. Our electrician, Mike M, was great. He was efficient, friendly, and took time to answer our questions. We would request him in the future if we need service. The price was high, but this was a Sunday, and the contractor who caused the problem will be reimbursing us. Still worth it when you need help.

Fast and fantastic service! We had several ceiling fans to be replaced as well as replacing old light fixtures. Tim came out within a couple days of me calling to give me an estimate. The total was a fair price and we were able to schedule the work for just a couple days later. Tim was on-time for the appointment, explained different parts of the process, made sure everything was how I wanted and cleaned up after the service. I will definitely be using Mr. Electric again and I will request Tim as my tech.

The company was easy to work with, and I was able to schedule an appointment that was good with my time. Scott was able to make it out earlier than planned, and they called ahead to make sure that was OK. The day of the appointment, Master of fact, 1 hour before arrival time Jessica called and told me they were inundated with calls and they needed to cancel my scheduled appointment. He didn't try to up sale or suggest additional services that I didn't need at the moment. He explained what he was doing and why he needed to do it. I had to have an Outside outlet installed for my pool .. I had the best experience with the first phone call . The receptionist was nice and professional and answered all of my questions even told me who was going to come out . They send you an email with the persons name when they’re going to be there which is great for safety reasons. The technician ended up coming earlier than scheduled which was great... Alec was great he came in showed me all of my options along with all the prices I ended up not installing that day because I had to wait on someone to call back from city office . I called back and they were out here the next morning on time ,job was done professionally and quick .. I will never work with anyone else again it’s always going to be Mr. electric for anything that I need to have done... Highly recommend..

We are moving into a house we purchased and had an electrician add two outlets in our house. In the first room, he misjudged where to install the outlet and either ran into a stud or a pipe and so there are three additional holes in my wall that he filled with clear caulk. For the second outlet, he estimated “an hour at most” and the installation took over 2. He needed to go into the attic and then tracked insulation throughout my master bedroom, stairs, kitchen and hallway and then had the gall to tell me I might want to vacuum it up as the installation may contain fiberglass. We moved in the next day and come to find when we plug anything into either outlet that he installed, the lights in the room flash like strobe lights. I called the company back and told them about the issue and they said it would be 5 days until someone could come out and look at it, mind you when I wanted a new service, they were here within 30 min. Needless to say, if you need an electrician, go with someone else![Update]I have to say, Mr.Electric did make it right. They had a tech and manager come out to my house and take a look at the work and they determined that it definitely was not done correctly. They spent an entire day running new wire and rewiring everything, putting in a separate circuit for the outlets with their own breaker, ran conduit outside, etc. and even though the work that was done this second time to fix everything was a job costing about three times as much as originally quoted, I wasn’t charged me a dime.

Really nice guy who arrived exactly on time but - he did not have a mask on when he entered our home. We had to ask him to put one on. He explained he only had a bandana in his truck. We were shocked he was not supplied one.He gave us a quote and it was extraordinarily expensive for the scope of work. It would have been over $180 to replace a ceiling fan we supplied and over $350 to replace an outdoor light we supplied.Now I know why they don’t provide quotes over the phone. I wouldn’t have had him come out if I knew the cost in advance. We had used them before so know they do good work but this time was a disappointment.

Mr. Electric was quick to schedule an appointment for the free estimate and for the work completion and told me up front who I could expect to arrive at the scheduled time, along with emailing me his name and picture. Damon showed up on time on both occasions. I was able to designate a day for the work to be completed and there was even some evenings and Saturday availability. Damon was very friendly and knowledgeable on both occasions he visited our home. Our main breaker was arching and he spent nearly 2 hours trying to find a replacement, during the free estimate, that would covert over for our Westinghouse 200 amp, 8 panel breaker box, because they no longer carried the exact one. However, he could not find one and quoted us a direct price for a new panel. He explained that all the new 200 amp breaker panels have no less than 16 breakers, so we thought in the long run, it was best to go ahead and upgrade the panel, rather than just replacing the main breaker anyway. When he returned for the installation, he was really great about answering any questions we had including, how we could go about later installing a tank-less hot water tank, now that we had a larger panel. He cleaned up his mess when he was finished and was very professional. If I ever need an electric again, this is the company I will call first.

I can't thank Tyler enough for all his hard work . I was stressed beyond belief with the electrical issues I was having and I couldn't find any company that would come right out. I called Mr. Electric and Tyler was at my house in no time. Tyler Identified the problem quickly it was late and he stayed till 10 pm and fixed my problem. He told me he would come back Monday at 8am to finish with some other issues I wanted taken care of. Tyler showed up at 7:45am on Monday and tackled the rest of the work it was a tough Job but he always kept his composure and never showed any signs of frustration. The electrician who came to my home was extremely friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem very quickly. I had tried to sort it myself, and he took the time to explain to me what was wrong and why. and advised me on some basic in home things I could look at if I ever had a problem in the future. The company itself was quick to update me on my originally scheduled appointment day, and worked with me to reschedule when that day didn't work. Appointment scheduled for over a week with a window 2-4pm but received call saying going to be late then another call later saying not coming and asked to reschedule for an estimate. I was disappointed with not only the price, but the lack of professionalism the representative had. The visit felt like a debate about pricing, him saying this is not a $50 job I know you have a coupon. He quoted a price over $200 for a outdoor porch light wire reconnection. I would have expected 2 things as part of the job. The first what needed to be done after examination to make it cost, rather than a quick wire repair/replacement. The other a thank you for your time, call us if you change your mind, rather than walking off without words!

Scott of Mr. Electric came to diagnose & repair an issue w our septic aerator. He was right on time, professional and pleasant. He explained that he needed to make a diagnosis in order to give a fair price for the job. He informed us of that charge. He found two things wrong and gave us options to repair one or both and the pricing accordingly. We chose to repair both because we felt he was knowledgeable and it would be wise to do both while he was here. We would use Mr. Electric again! Great job Scott!

The electrician showed up on time. This required replacement of a hard-to-find switch using a timer and two off-on switches, and also replacement of lights in a tiled shower. He left to buy the parts and returned within the hour to finish the job. i will definitely hire them again.

My electrical issue was handled in a very straightforward manner. My house has 60-70-year-old wiring that I could not decipher. The electrician assessed the problem and then told me how much it would cost to fix it. I agreed to have the work done and he very patiently completed it, as he explained the finer points to a trainee. They were both very polite and considerate as well.

I called Mr. Electric on a Saturday afternoon after learning from a home inspection that we had exposed wires on the outside of our house. DAVE P. Was the technician that came a couple hours later. I cannot say enough good things about DAVE P.He was professional, courteous, and took his time explaining the problem and solution required. We scheduled him to return on Monday with the needed parts and the work was completed as planned. No hidden costs or surprises!

They may be good in regards to their quality of work, but who knows. I have scheduled 3 appointments with them to try to get a ceiling fan replaced, and all three times they didn’t have an electrician available to make my appointment time. To be honest, I don’t know if they even have actual electricians that work for this company at this point.... as they schedule the appointment but can’t seem to produce anyone to actually do the work.

I was initially quite satisfied with the work Mr Electric did. However after paying Mr Electric a substantial amount of money I found issue I felt needed to be resolved. The electrician, who did most of the work, asked me if I wanted a ceiling fan and light switch on the same switch, I said that would be fine. My mistake, in hindsight wouldn't a good electrician say hey that's not a good idea. After repeated calls, they sent another electrician out a he quoted me 900 dollars to fix the issue. More phone calls then I was told that the electrician who did most of the work would call me. That was 4 months ago. Still waiting. Save your self the kind of aggravation that I am going through. Do not call Mr Electric!!!

Tyler was great, very polite and patient with me, as I was on a conference call when he arrived much earlier than scheduled - I had indicated this was ok and desired if their schedule opened up. In short, Tyler arrived approximately 2-3 hours after my initial call, diagnosed the outage problem and another nagging issue we were having with some inactive plugs. Everything was resolved quietly and quickly in under an hour, and he was able to make some recommendations as to how to prevent future recurrence. Great experience, highly recommend.

Never got the work done because they kept rescheduling me. I got rescheduled for the initial meeting and estimate. Then after agreeing to a price for the work on the day that the work was supposed to get done was called to be rescheduled again. So a total of 3 wasted days and I refused to let it be 4. Needless to say I wasn't pleased with their unreliability and I'm left with finding someone else to complete the job.

We needed a bathroom exhaust fan installed. The technician completed the work quickly, but the quality was only OK. He cut the hole in the ceiling too large and you can see small gaps around the fan. Also, he put a hole in our drywall when he was installing the new power switch. They offered to either give us a small credit for what it would cost us to buy the materials to fix it ourselves, or they could have someone come out and fix the hole. I have never patched drywall, so we chose to have them fix the hole. They said they would call us immediately to set up a time. Three weeks later, no call. We finally decided to just patch it ourselves. We called and asked them for the refund they had offered. They gave us the refund. All in all, they didn't seem overly concerned that one of their technicians had put a hole in our wall. After their failure to follow through on what they promised us, I would have thought they would have offered something in addition to the initial refund they offered, but no. I doubt I would use their services again.

I recently purchased a home that needs a lot of TLC. I called 7 electricians before Mr. Electric and no one called me back. I was so happy that they answered the phone and was able to do the work the same day. I gave them the work list over the phone and they made me aware that I needed a plumber also and scheduled that as well. John was great! He did the items on my list and made sure that any remaining safety issues were taken care of. When you own a home, there are always things that need to be done. I will definitely call Mr. Electric again!

The electrician was fantastic and their availability are the saving grace for this company. The electrician had great work, good attitude, and even cleaned up. those were the saving grace from giving a lower grade. $1,600 to install 6 pot lights???

Technician was knowledgeable, and explained terms to me that I did not understand. He was able to assess our needs quickly and recommend options to remediate the problem.

I explained the issue to one of their techs who was a reference from my realtor. He told me it would be $158 to diagnose the issue. I left work 4 hrs early last night to get some sleep before they came (that is $140 pay loss and 1/2 a point) they get here and I explain the same thing to them and they told me it was going to be $296 for 1 hour of diagnosis. So not only was I lied to originally, had they not found the problem in that 1 hour, I would’ve completely been out of $300. I just sent them on their way. Don’t use this company!!

Mr. Electric rep Scott showed up promptly for the estimate and to our surprise, said he could do the work immediately with no waiting. The work was done quickly and now our warehouse has all the light we need. We highly recommend Mr. Electric!

I called Mr. Electric to move 220V outlet for electrical range and install new circuit breaker switch in main circuit box. I did both of job excellent in timely fashion with cost efficiently.

Tim is very knowledgeable and quickly discovered our electrical problem. He explained my electrical problem in layman terms i could understand and was upfront about the fees and cost, which i found to be very fair. Cody C is about as good as you can get. He installed a ceiling fan for me. Before he got started, he listened to me in regards to the trouble I had with the previous fan and that I wanted the fan to be turned off/on with the wall switch which had worked with the original fan , but not with the one he was replacing. He did everything I wanted, and was very personable yet professional. He took the old fan and the packaging from the new fan to be disposed of, which was a pleasant surprise. The only negatives I have is that he didn’t leave me the owner’s manual, and he didn’t offer, nor did I think about at the time, for me to remove the four good lightbulbs and the pull chain extenders. Other than that, he was excellent!

I called due to a storm knocking a tree down and pulling wires away from my house . I literally only needed the Wires mounted to the house . No wires were damaged . I was quoted $475 to simply screw the anchors back to the house . Once I told the tech I wanted to get another opinion he told me he forgot I’d need an inspection , and that would be additional money . He said he would email me an estimate . The estimate was $700. I called another electrician who came out and he quoted me $75 for that very same job. I paid the $75, had AEP come back out and restore power . Thank God I didn’t let these folks beat me out of $700 to simply screw cord anchors up.. I gave 2 stars because these guys got there FAST , and I mean within 30 minutes of me calling.

Mr. Electric was a lifesaver. During the big windstorm Sunday, my neighbor's tree fell on my individual power line, taking out power and ripping electrical equipment from my house's exterior. Within 30 minutes of calling Mr. Electric, two reps were at my house. They worked from 6-10pm to install new electric equipment, and even did the work to reattach the power lines. We had power a solid 2 days earlier than we would have otherwise. Tim and John from Mr. Electric were professional, willing to take on a tough job and work late, and clearly presented my options to me so I could get the level of repair that worked for my budget. Really appreciate Mr. Electric's responsiveness and expertise - thank you!

I’m so disappointed. My first appointment had to be rescheduled, which is fine, but the day of my new appointment I received a quote that is almost laughable it’s so bad. $854 for a ceiling fan instillation! I had to pass, obviously, because that’s insane. I really wanted this to be a good experience and have my fan installed.

Mr. Electric called me back right away after I put a request in. Dave came in less than an hour. He fixed all of my problems. He was professional, knowledgable, and also kept me up to date on what items I would need to have my electric problems fixed. Need the services of Mr Electric, part of Mr Rooter (also used this excellent service) for a lamp in the yard that had issues. Ivan was professional and nice. Fixed the lamp in a timely manner and was reasonably priced. Also had a whole house surge protector placed, made the hole in wall bigger than needed. Also received a quote from another company which places surge protectors and it was a couple of hundred dollars less. This came after I let Mr. Electric place my surge protector. Suggest shopping around a little for better quotes. Lost 2 stars due to pricing and the too large hole in the wall where device was installed.

He was very personable and made me feel as though he was not just a technician, but a friend who wanted to help me get my house's electrical needs configured the way they should be. I needed a new light box installed in the kitchen. After the technician came out the first time I wasn't happy with where the box was placed. Dion came out and assessed that the box could easily be moved and they would pay to fix the drywall for the old hole. The guys made it right and always showed up with a smile. Scott P was awesome from start-to-finish. Easy to talk to and answered all questions. The quote he gave was very reasonable and within the other 2 quotes we received. Overall a really fantastic experience. Do not hesitate to go with Mr Electric and Scott.

Mr. Electric tried to cheat and get away with sub-quality work. They quoted a 200-Amp Panel replacement. My guess is the technician saw the house in transition (pending sale) and saw the concerned elderly former owner as an opportunity to install a 150-Amp panel and breaker, fail to label the new circuits, not leave any free breakers, and fail to communicate any of this to any party involved. Adding to the shady character: to date (yes, the drama is not over 2 weeks later) they failed to pull a permit for the job and still billed for one (and denied this), never followed up for a date to get the work inspected, repeatedly failed to return phone calls, and the technician avoided ownership of most of these issues, and avoided answering questions. They also denied needing to fix the problem that caused the need for replacement in the first place (water leaking into the panel from the outside mast/meter).I give one star beyond the minimum since they were very punctual initially, and the manager at least acknowledged the problems and made one attempt to remedy. The tech came back and did replace the 150-Amp breaker for a 200-Amp, and did a 70% job of labeling the new panel. Since then I have been promised a call back and even called in myself and have gotten no answer for days.I have lost faith in this technician/manager pair, who have given the company a bad name.UPDATE:The manager finally got back to me after I threatened to call the city. He came out and was fairly professional, fixed most of the problems I still had. But I can tell that if I had not left work to meet him and hold him to every word, he would have left skimping out on as much as possible again. I burned about 2 hours of work doing this, and I doubt they would even think to apologize. Rating is still staying at 2 stars.

I used Mr Electric for backyard landscape lighting as well as installation of additional outlets and hardwiring outdoors. The initial visit was overall positive - the appointment was scheduled in a timely manner, the crew arrived on time, and were amiable. The only major downside to the large initial job was the attention to cosmetic detail was very poor - ultimately done in an industrial trial which is very unappealing aesthetically. Regardless, the work was completed and worked well for a short time.A couple weeks afterwards, the lighting sensor failed and then shortly after that a wire was was left exposed was found by my dog and chewed in half. Scheduling and getting this fixed was much less successful. It was difficult to schedule, the company cancelled the first appointment, the second appointment a technician said one thing to me and then called the dispatcher and said a totally different thing and said that he would need to send someone else out to do the job because of the warranty, and then on the third visit - I was given limited correction options and a provided another cosmetically displeasing solution.In the end, total cost of the project, equipment and repair visit totaled nearly 8k for a very unappealing array of work in the yard...

I needed an electrician at the last minute of leaving our old house to move into our new one. The tech came in and was wonderful. He addressed all the issues and even came back twice on the ceiling fan. I will definitely recommend and use them again.

Tim B. from Mr. Electric was very professional and helpful. He arrived on time, completed the work promptly and fully explained everything that he needed to do for us. We were really happy with his services. We have one complaint about Mr. Electric however - we contacted them because we saw a television ad indicating that a ceiling fan installation was $75 - this isn't actually true. A new ceiling fan installation is several hundred dollars. We believe that the advertising is entirely misleading.

Ivan was fantastic to work with. He was prompt, professional, courteous and more importantly imminently knowledgable about the issues we were dealing with. He pointed out some issues that I was unaware of about our current electrical situation and rectified those for us. I won't hesitate to rely on Mr. Electric again in the future.

An electrician was dispatched and solve my problems within 2 hours of the initial phone call.They were concise, knowledgeable of the problem, and got the job done. You can't ask for much more than. I will be using Mr electric in the future for my they did an excellent job.

I have had several occasions to use Mr. Electric and specifically have had Dion T. estimate and complete projects. He has always been on time, courteous, suggesting alternative ways to complete a job and make it work for us. All the other technicians that we have used through Mr. Electric have also been competent and excellent.

As an Association Manager for multiple communities I have to say that my experience with this company is not good. 1. Couldn't complete a simple breaker change out. 2. Gave a quote of $15,600.00 and obtained quote next day of $6,100.00. 3. Paid for a diagnostic test which may be helpful, but still couldn't fix the problem. 4. Other electrician arrived and fixed the problem while Mr. Electric was still on site.Be careful out there.

Mr Electric is a very professional company. The service electrician was very polite and went about the business of identifying and trying to fix my electrical issue. Covered his shoes as he entered and exited the house.They are a bit expensive but ensured all was outdoor compliant on my outlets.The final analysis of the issue could not be fixed without digging up the front yard. Received a quote to come back in the spring to complete the job.

Scheduled a 4-6 appointment window. Did not get a call. At 5:30 I called to get an update. They says they were still working on it. At like 7 they called and says they can’t make it today and will follow up the next day. The next day a guy randomly shows up to the house as we are leaving for dinner and gives me a ridiculous quote of $300 to run a diagnostic on everything when all I needed done was to change out 2 outlets in the bedroom. I said no thanks and showed him to the door. Will not use them again in the future.

My outdoors Nest camera was offline for three weeks. I tried everything I could do to fix the issue without success. I even hired a Nest technician to power up my cam. It still did not work. He advised me to call an electrician. So I called Mr Electric, since the company will send someone out 24/7 at the regular rate, no weekend price hike. Tim found and corrected the electrical issue in 5 minutes.Finally, my Next cam is working properly thanks to Tim.

I had a great experience with Mr. Electric. I received a quick callback after submitting an online request for an estimate and they were quick to send out an electrician to give me a free estimate. Outstanding work and they are highly recommended.

I’d give 0 if possible. Company isn’t reliable at all. Made an appointment and took part of the day off work to make sure I’d be home. Got a call in the morning only a couple hours before my scheduled appointment saying they couldn’t make it anymore due to some “emergency repairs” that came up this morning. So the customer (ME) they committed to the day before got pushed aside to a new customer I’m sure they charged a higher rate to. Happy to have taken my business elsewhere.

What appeared to be $100 worth of materials and 3 hours of labor for roughly $1100. Seemed pricey to me. The work could have been neater but I would give you an average rating. Electrical knowledge seemed good and personnel was courteous and personable.

Tyler A. Was absolutely amazing. The company sent him out next day for at least 10 of our outlets that weren’t working to their full extent. Within less than 20 mins, and only opening up one outlet, Tyler knew exactly what the problem was. Our brand new house had hit a power serge that made half of the electrical panel only giving off 80 volts. Tyler made several calls, and was able to arrange us to get a brand new panel installed first thing the next morning. He was in and out under the estimated time given to us. Mike McPherson was awesome! There's never a convenient time to lose power, having a newborn with an electric heater in below zero weather was definitely not an ideal time. I called Mr. Electric and explained the issue and Mike quickly came out and installed a new Meter Box the same day, mind you in freezing weather. He was very courteous and displayed the company Moto/slogen that I read on his van a neighborly company. I also appreciate that prior to Mike coming I received an email with his picture to ensure the person knocking on my door was the right person. There was a sticker shock at first when I received the quote, but it was in line with what I found for the expected cost for the service and worth it to have my power back so quick and the quality of the service received.

We needed to get a quote done for work on a house we just purchased. Alec was great about working with our schedule to get a quote ASAP to remedy a safety hazard, provided multiple options so we could decide which service package was the best for us (and our wallet!), and was able to answer all my questions.

Had electric box replaced. Electrician was nice enough but inexperienced. Forgot simple part and was sloppy. Work was never inspected by the city apparently because a work permit was never issued. How can you possible do this job without getting a permit prior to starting work? The Company says they will get one and have the work inspected, but that was over 2 weeks since I inquired about it. The work was done Feb. 26 & 27!!

Came out to give me a quote. Guy was ok, but instead of coming to the front door he came into garage when first arriving. Also, I am still waiting for the quote I was told would be emailed to me 2 days ago. They can email me 3 times begging for a review, but not send the actual quote so I don't really have much to rate them on other than the lack of urgency to provide a quote for a job that posses a fire hazard if not repaired quickly. Guess it's safe to say that I went with the other guy who got me his quote by the end of business the day he came out to quote.

His work was clean, direct, and made as little impact as possible when cutting dry-wall to fish the line to its new location. Nice work overall.

Service professional was on time and very polite. Took care of the issues quickly. My daughter and I have health issues, and electric being out is a big problem in our home. With this current heat wave being without AC was not a good option. Brody was a great tech and a blessing when needed.

I have used this company twice now. Both times the electrician, today was Ivan R, did a great job. But the thing i love the most is that both times the electrician talked through things and came up with multiple options then let me choose. They never said, this is how we will do it with no options or discussion. I love the problem solving and talking it out. I love that they talk it out out loud, instead of just thinking it through in their heads. That way as the owner i can follow along and understand my options better.

VERY SHADY company! I would give zero stars if I could. Just spoke with this company this morning to see about having electric for a sign repaired. The rep told me over the phone (call center) that they could be out today - and there would be no charge. They would find out why it wasn't working and give me an estimate for repair (all for no charge). I could then decide if I wanted them to do the work. I waited for them to arrive - and within less than 5 minutes of the electrician arriving, he quickly informed me I would owe them $255 min for the first hour just to diagnose the problem. What? What happened to Free or no charge?? A call to his supervisor (Mike) -- who very flippantly informed me the charge was correct. Out the door they went. Not a good way to do business. Time to find a reputable electrician -- without the bait and switch business practices. Save yourself the time. Call another electrician. Buyer beware!

The technician was prompt, polite and did a good job. I had a difficult time dealing with small contractors. They didn't return calls and just didn't show up, so I used Mr. Electric. It's not cheap, but you pay for what you get.

Please question Mr. Electric's FREE ESTIMATE and PRICES. Mr Electric quoted me greater than $2500 to fix my electrical situation and Jess Henry Electric fixed the same problem for $128. Short answer Mr. Electric said EVERYTHING needed replace outside to restore power. Jess Howard Electric found everything to be in working condition and only 1 burnt leg needed replaced. Jess Howard replaced 1 part that cost $8.10 which restored power to my house. While Mr. Electric was trying to generate more profit by stating working condition parts MUST be replaced.Fortunately I cancelled with Mr. electric, however Ivan, Mr. Electric's technician called and was confrontational, and said he expects to be paid for his FREE ESTIMATE provided which was the estimate to perform his testing to provide a true quote. The price of the testing was $158.70 to run a diagnostic test. Mr. Electric's free estimate, which they only disclose when at your house and next to your breaker box, is the price for their testing to diagnosis the problem and not the price to fix your problem. You must pay the $158.70 upfront before the technician will even start to examine your situation.

The technician was professional, competent, cheerful and respectful of our Covid-19 needs. Nice guy , knew his stuff, fixed ? our problem.

Mr. Electric promptly responded to our request for an estimate to replace outdoor lighting by our front door and garage. The technician, Dominic Zitello, was courteous and knowledgeable, and he provided a good assessment of what was needed along with a reasonable estimate for such work. After we gave permission to continue, Mr. Zitello efficiently completed the work and also made some minor repairs to lighting within the kitchen we further requested. The work was high quality, and we greatly appreciated Mr. Zitello's professionalism. A job very well done.

I was extremely pleased with the level of communication from when to expect a service member to the explanation of work. Dominic was thorough in assessing the scope and solving the riddle that is my home's wiring. I would certainly recommend Mr Electric and will specifically request Dominic on future projects.

Mr. Electric may not be the bargain option, but they are prompt, pleasant, professional, and the work is always high-quality. I even once had them fix another contractor's mistakes, so I've learned my lesson. You really do get what you pay for! I won't mess around going to anyone else.

Unbelievable. Had a quote today to hang a light on a 17ft ceiling. I was quoted 650.00. I get that its easier for them to charge a flat rate, especially if they are coming out on Sundays. It would be less than an hour job. No new electric just replace current fixture nothing extraordinary. The electrician said it would be 450.00 just for scaffolding needed. I could rent scaffolding for a month at that price. This is price gouging and totally ridiculous. Just look up the price of scaffolding. Why not just say they don't want the job or cant to the job because they don't have the tools for the job? I was very detailed about the description of the job to the lady on the phone prior to the electrican coming out. I felt that this very disrespectful to come inside someone's home and show them a price like this.

Anyways, it took maybe 15 minutes top to unplug a cord to my garage door opener to determine why it would'nt turn back on and that repair cost was $158.00. I don't use the garage door opener, so I don't care about it working. The plug was for a light only because it is not an automatic opener. I'm very discouraged about the experience because I've used this company to replace my entire fuse box and they grounded all the wires and had another visit approx a year later to have a bathroom fan and outlet installed. I'll probably consult with another electrician next time. $158.00 to unplug a cord is astronomical. I've also used the plumbing portion of this company for many services and repairs. Now that I reviewed the site, I noticed that I could have gotten a $50.00 discount on the services as well. Smh

The bid was outrageous, 3, 000 to replace outlets and some switches where most cost 20 a piece. For that price I can almost rewire my whole house. Not a good value. Also had another electrician come in and he said the GFI were fine.

Out technician could not figure out what was going on and did a thorough job getting down to the route of our problem...excellent service

I had part of a circuit that was not working properly and I was not able to identify where the problem was. Scott from Mr Electric came out. He explained pricing etc. He quickly identified and fixed the problem. He was very friendly and nice to work with. I will definitely call again for future projects.

Tyler Auflick Of Mr. Electric provided us with great service, showed up on time, he was very knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient at fixing an existing door chime issue and installing our Ring doorbell camera to work with the chime. I would highly recommend using the electricians (like Tyler) at Mr. Electric for this type of work....forget the Geek Squad as their knowledge is limited when complications occur (my experience).

Estimate was WAY too high. I got a circuit installed plus an electrical panel inspection for less than half their estimate of the circuit alone. Scott was very prompt and courteous and I liked his professionalism, but I couldn't accept the price.

The electrician was super nice. The cost was pretty high for what he did. He changed out an outlet and it was really expensive. There really is not reason for the job to cost more than $100 and that is being generous. The guy was here for less than 20 minutes.

I will sit in the dark and loose all my food before I use these guys again. I was more then happy to pay a service fee but since it took the tech less then a minute to fix the problem and did so in the course of the inspection I feel that adding on a repair fee was complete BS..... The main breaker was just popped and although I moved it up and down several times I was unaware you had to slam it to reset it. Doing so is what he considered a repair. They do not reset easily like a standard breaker that controls lights or other things in your house. He was in and out in under 8 minutes. I left a message for someone from the office to call me with no reply.

Every single time I'd get a call from the company saying their electricians were busy and would be running late. Then, I'd get a call saying they wouldn't be able to make it and needed to reschedule. Wasted three of my evenings waiting around for this company. I'll find someone else that doesn't waste my time.

Their price is much more higher than the average electricians in the area. Their work was less than average for sure. We had to move the light switch about 6 inches away from where it is right now and the switch is working but the screws are put in unevenly and the plate is wobbly uneven and there’s a hole left just like that. For the amount of money we had to pay for this work, the work was nowhere close to even average quality of work. I would not be using their service again, big mistake. We can do a free home visit.Ok, that works.(Guy shows up and suddwnly everything seems to be working fine. Immediately starts using his diagnostics tools)(Walk upstairs to take apart an outlet on a dedicated breaker that gave us problems)Since ive started using my tools and needing to put my hands on stuff, its going to be a $156 diagnostics fee.Oh.. Well then.He dropped the price to $105 because I told him I didnt have that much and thought it would be a free visit and diagnostic. Otherwise I would've paid $156 for him to essentially flip on a breaker and unscrew an outlet. His reasoning was he drove an hour and would be chewed out by his boss if he didnt come back with SOMETHING. So free home visit, but theyre encouraged to do some kind of tests to charge you $156.We're assuming a power surge messed with either the breaker box or the lines outside, but all the problems we were having (more amps being ran to certain rooms to the point light bulbs were blowing, half the house not working, the whole house working only as long as our refrigerator was plugged into a specific outlet but not drawing enough power from the outlet) were gone when he showed up. No physical/strenuous work was necessary or actually done.

Honestly my only reservation to recommend to others was the price. I’m a little embarrassed to tell others I paid over $600.00 to have a couple new outlets installed and wired into circuit panel. I thought this was an extraordinarily large sum to pay for that, but nonetheless I Iiked the electrician And he was knowledgeable and friendly.

Their costs were higher than expected. The electrician did not staple all the new wires and did not clean up completely. I called their office the following day, and left detailed frustration to their secretary. Their owner never called me back to resolve the problem.

My husband and I have used Mr. Electric in our 1950s houses to upgrade the old push-o-matic panels. They did a superb job. Very professional, explained all of their work, pulled proper permits and cleaned up! We would highly recommend Mr. Electric and their trained staff.

I have a job for electric. I took 3 quotes. Mr. Electric was 3x more. When I asked find was to reduce the bid the reply was there would nto be any way to lower the bid. Felt like they didn't want the work. Would not recommend them

I had two electrical issues for repair; fix an outdoor light that wasn't coming on and replace a light bulb and reinstall can light trim in my great room I only had the electrician fix the outdoor light because the price quote for the second issue was way too expensive. The electrician fixed the outdoor light and I was very satisfied with the results. The second issue, to change a light bulb in my great room ceiling and reinstall the can light trim, is the one that I opted NOT to have repaired. I was quoted a price of $286.95 to change the light bulb and reinstall the trim (that was IN ADDITION TO the price of the service call). Seriously; $286.95 to change a light bulb? The breakdown on the estimate was $138.20 to install a can light and trim plus $148.75 for Minor step ladder charge. These charges were IN ADDITION to the service charge for the other repair. I don't think I'd use this company again because of the price quote to basically change a light bulb.

Unscrupulous. Gave my email so they could send info about the technician. Never told me they would share/sell my email to others. Not given an option/opt out choice. Now I get over 15 spam emails a day. Never any spam until they started sending me emails.Over priced. Quoted $400+ to replace a bathroom exhaust fan plus I have to buy the fan. Local HVAC contractor replaced for less than $200.

This is our second time using Mr. Electric, and the second time we have had an extremely positive experience. Our technician Alec went above and beyond to help us figure out and then fix our electric issue. We would definitely use them again in the future.

Had several false starts getting other electricians out to the house with one excuse after another. I guess they are lucky in this economic environment to be so busy. Finally tried Mr. Electric. Perfect! I was able to schedule a date/time that worked for me. There was some confusion on the address on the morning of the appointment which I should have caught, so when the guy didn't show as scheduled I called. The confusion was quickly and professionally sorted out with apologies and a second team was dispatched which arrived in about 10 minutes. Totally amazing as I figured it would all have to be rescheduled, so was very very impressed. And it was an honest mistake that both they and I missed. Anyways, Scott arrived....he was very quick, efficient, honest, professional and personable. We reviewed all the projects...there was a list of small annoying items that had been building and finally wanted to knock them all off. He tackled each one providing his professional advice on the best way to approach. The job was completed as quoted in a timely and very professional manner. I was able to reach your company on Saturday morning for an appointment for an estimate the next day. I was surprised when the technician arrived ahead of time for the estimate, which was impressive. I agreed to the estimate and asked if work could begin as soon as possible. The tech came early the following day to replace a coaxial cable that was to run from the electric box, under the ceiling of the finished room to the wall at the end of the room. I was pleased with the quality of work. The tech recommended a whole house circuit breaker with a warranty to protect against power surges that could destroy my electronic devises. He offered a discount for the work in that he was already on the premises. I agreed to the service and it was done right away. The costs were a little less than he quoted for both services. I was totally pleased with the company's responsiveness, the tech's professionalism and quality work and completion within a reasonable period of time. He gained my trust right away. While he was leaving he gave me a suggestion and cost for my next small project. This was my first experience with Mr. Electric.

The gentleman from Mr. Electric came out on today Saturday, August 10, 2019 to provide us a free estimate on removing a seasoned chandelier & installing a new chandelier. The new chandelier was scheduled to be delivered on Friday August 9, 2019, but unfortunately was delayed by Amazon. Was able to have an electrician come to our house within a few hours of making the phone call. Diagnosis and repair of the electrical and lighting issues was all done within an hour. Technician was professional, friendly and efficient.

Took forever, several weeks, to fix my doorbell. he tech got in my face and became belligerent. He said he would not leave my house. I had to call the police. Even then, the tech said he was allowed to stay in my driveway. Obviously, he was not playing with a full deck. He left my house in a mess and took my doorbell chimes with him. A mess.

Had them fix some outlets, which they did ok. When we called them back to get them to fix our garbage disposal and dishwasher which worked before we had them do our outlets, they had to bring a supervisor in and trace a wire, which for some reason came loose they said it would be $700 to fix, some how it wasnt their fault. I also asked them to run a 220 outlet and they wanted $1500 to run that. How outrageous ia that. Got it done for 250 from another certified electrician , who also fixed their came loose mistake for $200. Beware, decent work, but wont take responsibility for their screw ups and overcharge for simple things because, well who knows their reasoning for the overcharge. Before you let these guys take advantage of you get other estimates .

The configuration wasn’t ideal on the first pass which took nighttime viewing to see. There was zero pushback or struggle from Mr Electric’s team to promptly rework and improve at no extra expense.

I was in a pinch and needed some outside electrical repair, Scott P. from Mr. Electric gave me options to remove, repair or replace the damaged materials/equipment. Having options is a good thing when it comes to spending hard earned money. I think Mr. Electric gets that.

Very prompt. We called at 7:20 p.m. and a technician was at our door at 8 p.m. He quickly diagnosed the problem, had the correct parts and had our issue fixed by 8:30 p.m. Very polite and respectful of our home. HIGHLY recommend !

TL;DR - Services are WAY overpriced. Company did not obtain a required permit. Company ghosted me when I tried to have them do as promised. Get all in writing. Confirm licenses and permits before work is done.I hired Mr. Electric to install a new power line and disconnect for an air conditioner I was having installed. For less than an hour's work, they charged me $1200. The only reason I agreed to the price was because I was having trouble finding an electrician willing to do this small job within my time frame.During my HVAC inspection, I discovered that they did not install a breaker in the disconnect, they did not install the correct breaker for the AC in the panel (amperage too high) AND they did not obtain a permit for their work as was promised. My inspection failed because of their lack of professionalism.When I called to complain, I was put in touch with Dion Troiano-Coe who supposedly is a manager for this franchise. He apologized and promised to take care of the panel breaker and permit issue. The tech never showed up on the day he was scheduled. I texted Dion, and he ended up coming out himself, saying the tech got caught up on another job. Dion corrected the breaker issue and confirmed he was getting the permit and would email me a copy. Almost 3 weeks later - no permit. I texted Dion and asked for an update. No response.After another week with no response, I had to go direct with the County, pay for the permit add-on ($75) and schedule the inspection. There is no easy way to contact someone who cares to complain. They are a national franchise operation that hides behind an answering service. BEWARE!

Above all, the gentleman who came to do the work was exceptionally courteous, and took what I wanted to do seriously. He listened to my intentions, then came up with an approach plan that would 'section off' the work in groups. Then proceeded to methodically accomplish exactly what I had in mind, and showed me a couple places where he was able to do a bit better than what I had in mind. He didn't waste time, but rather accomplished what he could on one section, then if he needed something, he moved to another section until he had accomplished much for several sections, then went to get what he needed for all and got right back to it. When he needed to change plan because of the house structure, he explained why very clearly, and was able to show me the change and how well it would work. His name was George & he ROCKED!!!

I had an electrical issue in my home that my home warrenty should cover. They allowed me to choose my own contractor. I initially chose this company. When trying to get authorization Mr. Electric was unable to provide specific cost on parts and labor due to the company only using flat rates. This meant the warrenty company wouldn't authorize the work as these details are important. This is not surprising. Worst of all I instructed this company to give me a call once we know the conclusion for the claim and Mr. Electric failed to call me, leaving the safety issue for longer than a week with me needing to call them 3 times before I got an explanation. So horrible unreasonably. Honestly, I'm astonished that this company can't give details on parts and labor. When quoted by another company the repair was substancially cheaper which suggest these flat rates are only set to rip off customers. You should avoid this company at all cost.

I was quoted @$250 to remove and replace a ceiling light fixture and light switch. Quotes from Excel Electrics - $120 and KMA - $112. Plus, they scheduled 8 - 10 and didn't show up until after 11; after numerous phone calls to get them to show up.

I believe I was told to fix more than was necessary..,. The repair price was huge.... I feel I was taken advantage of.... I had a terrible experience w/ the electrician but I don’t believe I am at liberty to mention it here..... I will be telling everyone DO NOT use this company !!

Terrible company. Had an appointment in 2 different days. Didn't make it on the first appointment, called me late stating they will not make it that day. 2nd appointment today and did not make appointment window and was not advised the tech was running late. I had an appointment with Mr Electric for 6 pm. Received a call that someone would be out to assess the problem and give an estimate about 1pm. A price was given and when Tim showed up to do the work the price never changed and the work was done with no mess to clean later. Best service I have received in a long time.

Called Friday evening and they scheduled for Sunday, but they called back in a few minutes and arrived within an hour! Very personable electrician got the job done quickly.

I DO NOT recommend using Mr. Electric. I rarely write reviews, but this experience makes me want to help others avoid using Mr. Electric. Cody was our technician. The only positive thing was that he was on time and covered his shoes and wore a face mask. After that everything else was terrible. We have lived in our home for 20 years and never had an issue with a breaker, but recently the family room lights would occasionally kick off. We asked Cody to check this and also to install a new door bell and new exhaust fan in a powder room.Cody spent a long time in our basement and I could hear him talking to head quarters. He came up to tell me he had some bad news. He said our panel needed to be replaced or we needed to add an additional panel. He tried to use SCARE TACTICS. We asked him to simply replace the breaker and he became visibly angry. He then came upstairs to replace the fan and doorbell. He was blasting heavy metal music as I was trying to work from home. I had to ask him to turn it off.We have since uncovered that the breaker issue was simply an antique lamp with bad wiring that was tripping the breaker. Cody never bothered to look at what was connected to that line and was only interested in selling a new panel for thousands of dollars to someone who didn’t need one.I have called to speak to a manager three times. Each time I am told they will return my call, but no one has called. This is a RIP OFF company. I hope my review will stop an innocent person from being scared into buying a new panel when all they need is an honest and qualified electrician.

Pricing is about double what the job should actually cost I would recommend using these guys

All work was was done professinally and promptly, however, we've been waiting 4 months for our inspection! Not cool!

I needed new smoke detectors and a new electrical box. What started out to be a 6 hour job turned into 3 days. It was discovered that some of the wires had started to burn and under the old box, it wasn’t tripping to alert me to this. This was an eventual fire that could have destroyed my home and possibly hurt me. I am so grateful that the electrician took his job seriously and took his time to rectify the situation. I would say he’s a lifesaver. Yes, I would highly recommend this company.

We had an outdoor light that wasnt working properly that we removed. One of the caps came off and it was tripping a breaker off in the house. I called they they had someone here in less than 2 hours to check the problem. They put a box in the ground and capped the wires and buried them. Power was able to be restored to that breaker giving me power back to my basement.

Skilled, professional, and they clearly explain what they're doing. They email you the technician's information ahead of time, which I appreciate.

Scheduled an appointment a week out (earliest available) for a 5 minute job (inspect on new meter install, easiest possible thing an electrician could do). 5 minutes before the end of the 1-5pm window they called and said it would be 2 weeks before they could get to me, as they had other emergencies. Not sure why my power being out isnt important to these guys, but obviously this is some sort of lead generating scam shell company (unless they truly are just unorganized).

Mr. Electric had some issues with the dispatch on earlier appointments we had scheduled during the week. Dion who is the manager made it right and personally took the lead on our job.

I contacted Mr. Electric this morning requesting an estimate on replacing a panel. We are selling our home and as per the inspection report there were a few electrical issues that needed resolved. I was told they provide free onsite estimates and a technician could be out in 30-60 min. Ryan arrived within that time frame and informed me that I wouldn't need to replace the panel, he could take care of the issues within the inspection report and make the current panel compliant, saving me quite a bit of money. Job was completed promptly and professionally. I would definitely recommend Mr. Electric!!

The two installers did a great job with installing my new fan, replacing the three outdoor spotlights, replacing the GFCI outlets, and replacing two bathroom vanity lights.

Beware of this company. This is a franchise with several managed operations. The level of service and professionalism will vary greatly and may depend on the luck of the draw. They are over priced. The manager, Dion Troiano-Coe did not follow through with paperwork and once they job was done, it was near impossible to get a hold of them.

I was shocked by the price on the quote provided by this company. I requested quotes to install 1 ceiling fan and 2 track light fixtures for my family room. They quoted me about $2,000 for this work. Nothing about my house makes this work challenging or out of the ordinary (standard ceiling heights, attic access, etc.) I have called other reputable companies in the area and gotten quotes for less than half of what this company wanted to charge me. I didn't use this company and would not recommend them based on their prices. They may do good work, but you are going to pay more than you need to for the job to get done.

They failed to show up for two scheduled appointments. Was scheduled between 4pm-6pm on a Thursday. Received a call at 6pm saying their technicians were running behind. Received another call at 7:30pm saying they were still running behind so we reschedule for the same time slot the following day. It’s the following day and they are still “running behind.” I canceled my appointment and will now find someone else to complete the work. Disappointed that I wasted two days.

I needed to have a non-working exhaust fan switch replaced. Jonathan came in, took a look at the switch, went back to his vehicle for a new switch, came back and replaced the switch, all in less than 15 minutes! He really knew what he was doing, and he was polite, kind and professional. Moreover, he gave me a fair price, and left me wondering why I waited so long to have the switch replaced!

Would give 0 stars if I could. Multiple reschedules at the last minute, flat out incorrect information from a tech (on at least two occasions), manager sent out to assess never even called or showed up. I have asked several times to speak with a manager and been told one would call me, no one ever has. My light is not fixed, and Mr Electric has my money. This has been going on for over a month - such a simple job (switching out an exterior fixture!) should never have been this difficult. Do yourself a favor and call literally anyone else. Heck call me, I know more than they do at this point.

Dion came to our home last Wednesday and debugged and fixed the light that was flashing above our kitchen table. He also installed 3 lights on the outside of our garage and fixed an outlet. Tech had to install a new outlet for my TV. He did a good job, but he did no cover the area he worked at as a result my wooden floor was covered with insulation and dust. When all was done, my floor was a mess: insulation and scratches on my wooden floor in area he worked.

This company, and in particular, Dion Troiano, is terrific, fixing two electrical issues, one of which was a bit complicated. Their service, friendliness, professionalism and workmanship are top notch. I will definitely contact them in the future, and will hope that Dion is free to do the work at my home.

We called Mr. Electric to check a wire to a new water heater. The plumber that installed the water heater told us the ground wire that was to be used had a current in it and to call an electrician to correct the issue. Mr. Electric came out and told us it was no big deal and for $360 he could simply hook it up. Also needed interior lights installed and would install them $160 per fixture, not by the hour. $1300 quote for something a local handyman can do for 1/10 the cost. Other local electricians all say RotoWorks/Mr Electric are scammers and crooks. Would not recommend using them.

Our electricity went out late on a Friday afternoon. After having no luck resetting the breaker switches, I called 2 places and got recordings. Neither one ever even called back. Then I called Mr. Electric. They said since we were in cold conditions (20's) with no electricity at all, they would definitely find someone to help. They called back within minutes and Billy L arrived. He restored our power and returned on Monday to track down then cause of the problem. He was informative, courteous and efficient. We could not have asked for a better experience, and we appreciate the late afternoon visit. Mr. Electric saved the day and the weekend.

They installed the Tesla charger for us the estimate said includes permit cost and inspection tried calling them 3 times for the inspection and no one got back.

Matt and Dustin discussed with me the changes to the plumbing that I needed and determined the best way to separate the cold water in the kitchen from my softener system so that I could filter my water using a countertop Berkey Filter.
