Patrick and Higher Power did a great job for us. We just moved into a flipped home, and a number of things were needed. Subpanel breaker box. More outlets. Hard-wired smoke and CO detectors. Bathroom vent fans. The Higher Power team came in, and got the job done. Promptly. Without fuss. Without a problem. When there were questions, I got a text and pics when necessary. All around, a very good interaction. Highly recommended.

I have used Higher Power Electric for years - primarily for servicing of my whole house generator. They are always professional, polite and prompt and I trust them to take care of any issues that may arise. One of my very best choices in contractors.

Outstanding knowledge and fault isolation capabilities. I had a section of lights that quit working on my house. As an older home that has had numerous modifications and poorly marked circuits, locating the cause required professional methodology. Identified the failed part and replaced it. Corrected other issues along the way, making my home safer. My go to electricians!

We have used Higher Power at least 3 times now based on a recommendation from our daughter. Service and personnel have always been top notch! Lyle was in our home this week, and he felt like family right away. He tackled multiple electric issues, and even gave us a brief Lighting 101 training. The workers, Cort and Jim, let me know when they were on their way and were professional and friendly. They put in a new over head fan/light in my sunroom. They checked everything on my list, changed an outlet or two and replaced a closet light. I learned quite a bit from them. Now I need to buy a couple under the counter lights and I will be calling Higher Power Electric again when I’m ready to have the new lights put in. I will also be having them replace my outdated dimmer switches. Thanks, guys!

They installed a whole house generator system. Everything was thoroughly mapped out ahead of time and then efficiently installed. The system was completely explained. Workers were courteous and knowledgeable. Overall a great experience.

We called them for generator service. They did not install the generator but they were prompt in making an appointment and coming out. The technician was courteous and did a thorough job of cleaning everything. There was a repair that needed done as well as the 5 year suggested service. He had all parts in the van so there wasn't a need for a return trip. The price was a little higher than our last company but the quality of work was higher as well. We will definitely call them back for any future electrical work.

Lyle repaired a GFI outlet. He was very friendly and conscientious. He even gave us an electricity lesson. ?

I moved into a new house and wanted to change out a bunch of lights and fans. I also needed two outlets installed and a TV hung. Jim and Courtland did it all! They were very professional and efficient. It felt so good to have everything done in one day. I sent pictures in advance, so they knew what to expect, and they had a plan in place when they walked in the door. I have used Higher Power in the past and will definitely use them again for any electrical needs. The TV install was an unexpected service they offered and they did a fantastic job.

Jim was very thorough, patiently answered all questions and addressed issues.

Higher Power Electric restored the power to my detached garage to the main electrical unit in the house. It was a big job, but they had a crew of 3 working on it from the early morning until later in the afternoon. They did a fantastic job! I will also say I was equally impressed with the owner, Patrick Payne. He returned my calls/emails promptly and was thorough in his explanations about what needed to be done! Last, but not least, he is very fairly priced. Considerably cheaper than other estimates I received, but top-notch high quality work!

She helped me try to troubleshoot my electrical problem over the phone, and was very kind and knowledgeable. Lyle was amazing to work with and is the nicest person! He explained everything (in terms I could understand) and identified several other electrical issues in my home. Prices were extremely reasonable for the great service! What an exceptional business to work with!! From the first moment I looked up Higher Power Electric, they were so easy to work with the schedule an initial consultation within the week. John was very honest and open with his advise for how to upgrade our outdoor business lighting so that it was most effective, and he even took a drawing of our building plan so that he could provide a detailed proposal for our lighting. I want to say a big thank you to Lyle, Eric, and Jim who performed our installation -- they walked me through everything and answered any and all questions I had. Thank you also to John and Vickie for being so pleasant and helpful!! Our business has a hectic schedule, and they did everything they could to accommodate us, for which I am eternally grateful. Long story short, if you're looking for an honest company that provides exceptional work, look no further!

7-1-20 UPDATE: I called the office and received a call back that day from Patrick the owner. He apologized for the misunderstanding and informed me that electrician was unaware the fees were already included in the quote. He explained that at times there could be additional cost based on different structural layouts, but in my case that was not the issue. He promised to refund the additional charges via check. I think when dealing professionals it’s important to maintain a level of integrity, and I believe Pat is a man of integrity. God is good?

6/30/20 (Initial review): I called around to get quotes and they were not the most expensive or the cheapest, but I proceeded and felt my quote was reasonable for 2 ceiling fans and a chandelier. I was quoted $125 a fan and $444 for my chandelier. When I called the office back and indicated I would only need 1 ceiling fan, not 2. She said to take $125 off and they'd be there at around 9:30. They got there around 10:00 and proceeded to review the job. The election said fans were $150,even though the work order he had in his hand showed $125. He said their trip fee was $69(not included in my quote) and even though the order said scaffolding was extra, he proceeded to tell me I had to pay for the ladder! Which was an extra $80. Seriously??? They were already in my house and I was not going to go back and forth with the labor, but I will call the office and express my opinion about bating customers with 1 price and charging $150 in extras that were not communicated. I mean goodness are you going to charge me for your gas and tools too? The installers were polite, but that doesn't account for their lack of transparency.

I called for service due to random electric outlet failures in my house. Vicki listened to me carefully and asked pertinent questions to understand my exact problem, then suggested I try an easy fix, which even I could do, before I incurred the cost of a service call. I doubted it would work, but I was wrong! Vicki's suggestion worked like a charm and saved me both time and money. I will definitely call this business for any future electric needs!

I would most definitely recommend Higher Power Electric for anyone looking for an electrician. My sister recommended them to me and I could not be more pleased with their service and professionalism. Their communication is great and let me know exactly when the electrician. Lyle, would be arriving at my home. Lyle was so professional and kind and probably the nicest person I've ever met!

I had a great experience with Higher Power Electric. I am in the middle of a kitchen remodel, opened my souffits and found a huge mess of electrical wires. I thought it would be a very complex job, but the crew came in and made it look easy. They were very upfront about everything they were doing and very professional. Great experience! Was called back the same day after filling out a request on their website. Kyle came out the next day and quickly fixed the issue. He was courteous and professional. Price was reasonable.

Hands down Higher Power Electric is the absolute BEST electrical contractor in Columbus. They recently installed some can lighting and various other light fixtures in my kitchen and I am 100% satisfied. Pat was very helpful in helping me pick the lighting placement and gave me some really good suggestions in regards to lighting above my cabinets. I'll certainly call them back next time! You won't be disappointed!

Communication is the key, and they clearly need some keys. Good work, I say good because we now are seeing what they should have done in the time they were here, but it still doesn't beat not being told when they are showing or when they are done, three day garage job and then was taken off with wires hanging and outlets open by someone who doesn't even work there. Had Pat come over and tell me not to listen to John, even the workers had words about him, two weeks on and off with my business closed and trying to homeschool kids, big mess. Don't worry though, they will blame me and or you, the customer, because they are right. We even had to unload supplies because no one showed up that day!!! Don't worry I got that three way switch to work, but thanks.

Fantastic company. Reasonable prices, great service! Highly recommend these guys. Came out the day before Christmas and fixed a service issue I had, even though they were technically closed. The owner, Pat, came out personally and did the work so his guys could have the day off. Very impressed!
