On May first at 2:20 in the afternoon witnessed a driver on east galbraith going past Jewish Hospital and deliberately ran a red light almost hitting a pedestrian. They're company must be held accountable with their name on the side of the truck. Red lights DO NOT MEAN one more car!!!!!!

Outdoor faucet was leaking very slowly and needed to stop it before the winter freezing/thawing process caused a burst. (I had been down that road before and learned a lesson about investing in long term solutions.). Larry Sumner replaced outdoor faucet and indoor shut-off valve. It is important to me that quality materials are used. (FYI, the big national chain will do it quickly, but I’ve found that their fixes do not last.)
Luke and his crew did a great job in finding the blockage in our sewer line. Their attention to detail and leaving a clean site was commendable

Such a great company! We called another reputable plumbing company and they couldn't come install a new hot water heater until 2 days later. Halpin was here within 4 hours of us calling! Great company. the service guys were at a neighbors house and I walked over and asked for their opinion on something. They sprung into action and dropped a camera down my line and located a clog and marked it on my lawn... I highly recommend these guys for your plumbing needs.

Darryl and CJ came out and solved, what I thought was a large problem- made it a simple fix. It was, instead, my washing machine, not a floor drain. Highly professional, honest-- They have set pricing and are highly competitive. they also came to the aid of my elderly neighbor. Halpin is a trusted name in my household- Specific thanks to Darryl and CJ.
We had a storm water drain problem. Basement door stairwell drain backed up during heavy rain. It was difficult to diagnose the cause of the problem. It was underground and cameras could not reach the problem (s). We had 5 reputable vendors suggest solutions. The solutions were very different and none seemed to identify the root causes.
Then Darrel with Halpin came to diagnose the issue. He worked his way around the property digging, camera- ing, using pipe detector, thinking and asking questions. With his experience, brain power and training, he identified 2 problems as the root cause. Lindsay in the office efficiently scheduled the work. Problem resolved! Other quotes would have not fully solved issue and some were more expensive. Hats off and thank you to Darrel.

Excellent service from Halpin Plumbing again. Luke and Will came quickly the day my water heater stopped working. They found a fix which they were able to do on the spot and they had the part on their truck. replaced the pipe coming from my gutter downspout. They did a great job. Also, they were very respectful, nice people. Had previous great service from others. Would highly recommend this company!!

Halpin did an amazing job clearing out the tree roots in my sewer lines. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional the whole time. They also discovered that the root infestation went out to the public sewer lines, and went above and beyond to help me out by contacting and coordinating with MSD of Cincinnati. Halpin's quote for installing 2 faucets was $1100.00 (yes, one thousand, one hundred dollars)! I was able to get it done for $200.00 -- and a fine job too. Of course, to give me that quote, one of their plumbers had to come out and charged be $55.00 for just that.

We had flooding in our basement and called Halpin Plumbing. We had a sewer check valve and a sewer liner installed. Darrel W, Geoff, Jason, Pedro and Ethan all worked diligently and were very professional. We now will longer have to worry about any type of flooding in our basement. If we ever have any type of plumbing issue we will call Halpin Plumbing. I highly recommend them as they know what they are doing and they do the job right. They are honest and up front with you. Darrel and Team at Halpin Plumbing were AWESOME! Always arrived on time ready to go and were 100% professional...but also cut straight to the chase without the fluff.
We went with Halpin for three reasons:
1) My father-in-law has and continues to use them for regular plumbing work.
2) Their price was competitive to other quotes we received to jet some roots growing in our pipe as well as complete a sewer lining.
3) Darrel and Team knows their stuff.
From the beginning, we were impressed by Darrel's professionalism while being a personable, down to earth plumber with a shared normal sense of humor. Darrel scoped the work, and identified some key areas that ended up saving us cost as well as disruption to the property (other plumbers were going to make a 2x3 foot hole in the ground and Darrel found a simple fix by breaking the ground with a 4-inch diameter hole)!
Darrel also went above and beyond the call of duty at his initial visit. I asked him about the water pressure in our house and he just jumped in and fixed it without charging. I asked him about a previous owner's DIY 'hidden' secret with a faucet, and he identified the root problem as well as provided a fix that I can do. Basically, I trust Darrel to do any plumbing work (I am a hard sell because I am a perfectionist). Will definitely call Halpin and ask for Darrel on any future work, because I know the work will get done and it will be done right!

Luke arrived on time and was very professional. It was a quick fix of the handles on my utility sink to stop leaking. Luke also noted several additional items related to my water heater that may need addressing in the short term and he explained why in a very easy to understand way. Within minutes of him leaving, I had a copy of my invoice emailed to me along with an estimate for the work we discussed while he was here. I highly recommend Luke and Halpin Plumbing!

I had an underground water leak in my lawn. The service was prompt, they used the absolute best quality materials to make the repair. My plumber Darrel, specifically was extremely knowledgeable, and I am a tradesman myself, just a different trade. But I can tell when someone really knows their stuff vs when they are blowing smoke... every effort was made to minimize damage to my lawn, and the office staff was very responsive and helpful. If I could put more than 5 stars I would. The price may be a little high, but you get what you pay for, and the work done is worth more than it costs. If you want the cheapest plumber, maybe not for you. But if you want the best, you can’t go wrong using Halpin.

This was my first time using Halpin Plumbing. It was so easy to get on their schedule AND they texted a photo and name of the person they were sending. I’m a stay at home mom and it’s invaluable and comforting when a company sends info like that ahead of a service call. AJ arrived on time and was an all around great guy (and very tolerable of my ever present toddlers and interruptions) and did honest work. He gave me straight forward info and outlined my options on replacement vs repair of faucet. Even showed me how to adjust the temp on the hot water heater! He also fixed our nightmare of a tub drain. The price was extremely fair and I will totally call them again.

Had them come to primarily look at my sewer line and main stack (old, cast iron) for a second opinion, as well as thoughts on the hot water heater. A team of two guys came, on time (actually, a little early) and seemed nice enough, and seemed to be relatively knowledgeable. Told me I would get a quote in a day or two.
Now it’s a full two weeks later. Have called back at least twice to ask them to follow up, and when I would receive the quote, and still, no one has sent it. We are a bit weary about the scope of work the original company we had here said needed to be done, and at that much stuff, wanted to make sure we were getting a fair price. But they had a quote down a few minutes after they left here.
Will not be using Halpin for this project for sure, or any other. Will be getting another company to take a look.
On the other hand, they haven’t billed us for the visit, so there’s that.

They had to come out to fix the toilet 3 different times to fix a leaking toilet. The first time there were 3 guys. The second time there were 2, the last time just one. The kicker is, the toilet still isn't fixed. One the first trip, they had to go to home depot for parts 3 separate time. Moe, Larry, and Curly should be the company's name.

My trusted plumbers recommend this crew and I even waited an extra day because they were finishing up another job. Professional, polite, work focused, and offered multiple solutions with carefully explained pros and cons. They redirected an replaced over 200 feet of drainage, under my asphalt driveway and along side of the driveway. I felt intelligently guided and informed in my decisions. Ask to get an estimate on sewer smell. Two guys walked around my yard, smoked cigarettes and scratched their heads. I had to suggest they smoke bomb my vents which they did but they had no idea why no smoke came out my vents. Asked them to check if vents were clogged. They would not go on the roof.
Tried to charge me $450 but could not itemize. I gave them half. Not sure if they are inept or this was a scam.

I felt that $600 was exorbitant for a service call that took 30-40 minutes to complete. For that cost you would think the shower floor would have been cleaned up. See photo attached. I am glad i declined a camera inspection of the main which would have cost an additional $375! The main was water jetted 2 years ago so i knew that was not an issue.

I had a water main emergency at a home I was inspecting. The water main broke and we were in a panic. Not knowing what to do, one of my collegues said to call Halpin plumbing since he know of them. Halpin Plumbing did a wonderful job cleaning a stopped hvac drain. This was no easy project and the Halpin plumber did not give up and was determined to get the job done (which he did).
We have used Halpin Plumbing twice, both times Taylor S. came out and did a great job. The first time was late last summer after heavy rains our basement drain backed up due to roots in our main drain pipe. Taylor and an assistant named Luke used a high pressure, trailer mounted water jet that blasted the roots in the pipe, cleaning out over 100 feet of pipe to get the line cleared all the way to the city main under our street. The whole time they used a video camera so they could see what was going on. That was a tough job and it wasn't cheap but it was worth it and I bet we won't have a problem with that pipe for another 25 years. The second job was today and not as intense, we had two leaky faucets. Again Taylor and another assistant named Larry took care of it in no time. We have (at least) two more non-emergency plumbing jobs that we need to take care some time down the road, and we will use Halpin. I recommend this company.

As a Realtor, I use and recommend Halpin for winterization of vacant properties in the winter months. With an artic storm coming, I was able to get a property scheduled to be winterized the same day, thankfully. The woman that took my call and booked the appointment was excellent at taking the notes to access the home, and where the unique shutoff valves were located. The technician called me and had all the notes and asked a question. He did a great job of following the instructions and updating me after with his progress. I was completely thrilled with the quick response and friendly and accurate efforts from everyone at Halpin. I continue to use this company for the last 10+ years.
Christian came out exactly on time at the beginning of the service window. He diagnosed an issue that I thought was with my water heater, but determined the root issue to be an old and worn PRV. He was very friendly, quick, informative, and showed me how to increase/decrease pressure and safely test. I’ll be calling for him again on any future plumbing needs.

I called Duke as I smelled gas. They came right out and after using a meter they advised there was a gas leak and shut off our gas and advised us to call a plumber. We called many and we landed on Halpin Plumbing. I called and a very nice lady advised they didn't have anyone to come out that day, it was about 4:00, but would be able to send someone out the next day. Christian came early. We gave him the note Duke left us. He went to work. After checking every gas appliance, we had in the house he did a Whole house Gas piping pressure and advised that there was not a gas leak. He was thorough, helpful and even called Duke for us to advise them of his findings and to tell them to come out and turn our gas on. Very pleased and would certainly use them for all my plumbing needs.

Three times I’ve had them out to fix the same faucet and they still can’t get it right. Made four phone calls recently to have them repair the problem and they can’t seem to return phone calls correctly either. Lots of other companies out there that stand behind their work. For what they charge you’d think they could repair something the first time rather than flood your ceiling repeatedly.

The whole team has been extremely helpful from Skyler & Lindsey in the office to Geoff on site. I'm not at the house and have a friend coordinating with me. They have kept me informed, giving solid guidance while managing the circular communication process.

The saga continued due to the different professionals involved and timing each team. Halpin team continually worked with me, were able to work around timelines. Every appointment Christian clarified the plan for that visit, called with any changes and informed me when he was done. He and Kyle along with the whole office team were always professional, kind, willing to educate me.
Never wad my ignorance used against me, meaning they never tried to oversell me or do unnecessary work.
I will use them again- hopefully won't need anything soon.
I have been sharing their name with friends and co-workers so they have it should a need arise.

I cannot say enough as to how great Taylor and his team at Halpin plumbing were. I'm currently finishing my basement and had a very complex plumbing job that required multiple sections of concrete flooring to be broken up, old plumbing removed, and new drains & vents for fixtures installed. The team's professionalism was truly unmatched throughout the entire process. As far as pricing they were by far the best and even when surprises arose when connecting to 50+ year old plumbing the estimates to fix those areas were fair, explained thoroughly, and executed quickly. The team was able to start within a week of asking them to begin and the whole job was complete in a day and a half. I highly recommend you at least give Halpin a call to provide an estimate. Also look in your local Valpak for some seriously good coupons if you're looking to get work done.

I was not home at the time of service, my babysitter was, but I really liked that they sent me a detailed invoice with notes on what they did.
I also loved the photo sent of who would be arriving when they were on their way.
Had a kitchen sink clog, called 3 other plumbers first [my mistake], all had 4 days to 2 weeks before someone could come out. Called Halpin and they shared they'd find a technician that was free and come ASAP. AJ Humphrey was at my door 20 minutes later. Very professional, friendly and worked quickly to clear the drain. We talked tips we could do to keep the drain from backing up again. Would definitely recommend Halpin and AJ for your plumbing needs.

I used Halpin for an issue with my toilet clogging. Larry was my plumber and did a fantastic job, very thorough and explained any questions I had. He had to come over 2 days, yet for all the time and work spent, I was surprised as to how reasonable the cost still was. He even fixed and cleaned out the sink drain in the same bathroom, which I hadn’t even realized was an issue. I also liked how they not only call and text to you let you know they are arriving, but the company also sends out a text with your plumbers name and photo, which I thought was very nice and reassuring. I will definitely be recommending Halpin and Larry, and would use again for any future needs.

I first had Halpin out in December 2016 for 3 toilets that needed work. Tommy was the service tech. I wound up paying nearly $400 for 2 toilets to be rebuilt (inner guts of the tank, not exactly NASA technology) and the third one he was clueless about! Even among high service rates these days, I truly felt utterly ripped off. So, one of my five toilets remains out of service because not only did he not have a clue, but he also wanted to sell me a $600 new toilet! I said no way. I only let him fix the other two because I was faced with an expensive service charge anyway if I chose to have No work done. On top of all this, he was more interested in selling me a pricey service plan. So fast forward to June 2017 and one of the rebuilt toilets is leaking by and running a lot again. That was the problem when I spent the $400. So I called and complained that it was doing the same thing and should have lasted much longer than this. They would not commit to fixing it for free on the phone so I had them come out anyway thinking it was a no-brainer that they would stand behind their expensive work and fix it without charge. Nope. I wound up being charged another $132.54 to replace the rubber flapper! I don't think it's gold-plated but I haven't checked. And the service tech must have flushed my toilets about 40 times - thanks for the water bill. What an utter RIPOFF. Their excuse? They said they only warranty their work for 30 (or was it 60?) days and besides, the previous tech was no longer with the company. Gee, go figure. And the toilet won't flush properly now! This company is the biggest RIP-OFF I have ever dealt with in the service industries. (The service tech this time, Kevin, was a really nice guy and his hands were tied by the lousy company's policy. He called the office trying to get the work for free or reduced without success. I told him this would be the last time Halpin would be allowed to step in my building). These 5 star ratings should be six star ratings so people could use a Negative star, as in this case.

My regular plumber was sick. Called to use Halpin because I was having next day surgery. They came out the same day which is good. They do not give estimates over the phone which is bad. They give a job quote on site. Significantly higher rates than usually charged and I should have cancelled them which is my mistake. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. I could have spent $80.00 for dinner over the next 11 days for what I was charged. And I have done the EXACT same install myself in a prior home in less time but could not here due to surgery. My advice is to do yourself a favor and hire any other plumber unless you have money to burn. Good Luck.
We have had a lot of work done by Halpin and it has always been top quality. The only complaint I have is that, on several occasions, they have said they would get back to me with an answer to a question or some other information but they failed to do so. It was always easy enough to just call and remind them though, so not really a huge deal. Overall I have had a pretty good experience with Halpin

I had an absolute nightmare job waiting for Mike. A drain repair in an old house with no idea where it was coming from. Mike located the problem with minimal damage to my walls and ceiling. And he gave me a fair price on replacing a portion of the drain. Mike did an excellent job.

We had a pipe burst in an elevated bathroom on Christmas Eve day. Christian responded for Halpin. Because of ice we had to wait several days for the thaw. So the problem pipe was identified on the first visit and repaired on the second. Both visits were performed on time and efficiently. Both Christian and his helper were helpful and courteous.

What a great experience . . . honest, trustworthy, and fair pricing. Called for an appointment to have Halpin repair an old shower diverter. An hour later, AJ was at my house and thoroughly explained the best approach for the repair and why. He was very straightforward and got to the business at hand and had things wrapped up in no time. I happily paid him for solving THE problem and for not trying to direct me to other unnecessary add-on services. So nice to have a trusted plumber for my sixty year old house.
Halpin is my go too plumber in Cincinnati. Their quotes are competitive and their work is great. I've used them to from something as simple as replacing valves, and something as complicated as burst pipes.

Outstanding work! Geoff and Troy arrived on time and on short notice to clear our completely plugged main drain to the street sewer. They had the blockage cleared in minutes, and then took the time to make sure everything else in our branch lines was draining properly. They answered all my questions and provided excellent advice to keep my drains open and running freely. I couldn't have been more impressed. In the end a fair charge for excellent work. Halpin took amazing care of us, especially Madi with Customer Service and our technicians, Larry + another young guy who's name is escaping me. They helped us connect with a great restoration company and even coordinated their arrival time directly with the company. Then, they cut our quoted fee in half - both the night of the emergency and a few days later when they came back - because they didn't end up having to do as much work as they anticipated.
They went above and beyond in a stressful situation and we're very grateful.

The boys at Halpin came out when I called on a Friday to help me vs everyone else saying next week. Our issue ending up being more complicated than we thought but they were still able to complete our job same day. Really happy to have it all done.
Over the past several weeks Haplin plumbing has been to one of my houses three times to unclog a toilet on the third floor of my home. The first time, the technician flushed the toilet and stated everything was fine, and then charged me the trip. Several days later the clog presents itself again and we call for a technician to fix the issue. The receptionist told the technician the clog was on the second floor and the technician unclogged this drain and charged us. The receptionist stated that since the clog was resolved and this was a new issue, we will be charged again. Several days later the clog happens again and the technician comes back out and was surprised the clog was on the third floor instead the the second floor. The drain was finally unclogged and I was charged again. I paid Haplin Plumbing nearly $700 to unclog a drain.

Halpin has always been timely, courteous, and professional. I have had problems with other plumbing companies not doing things correctly which resulted in multiple visits. This has never been the case with Halpin. They dont use agressive scare tactics and aren't trying to upsell me. Just good, honest, professional work at a fair price. I no longer call any other plumbing company.

They were able to send a plumber one day after I called to repair an outdoor faucet. He rebuilt the faucet valve and resealed the hole where the faucet entered the house. While this was a relatively simple job, he did it well, explained exactly what he was doing and why, and was very professional.

I had three plumbing issues that needed attention. Larry and Tyler arrived on time; were courteous and cleaned up all areas.
Darrel professionally scoped, hydro washed, and installed a new liner in my sewer pipe. He explained each process as it was performed so I could better understand each step. He told me he had to go through training to get certified for this work and that he had been doing it for several years. He also showed me the materials he was using and how the process worked. Darrel and his team also had to replace a wye pipe under the garage floor. I appreciated the information, the friendliness, and the professionalism in the work that they completed.

Great experience! Returned my inquiry call within 30 minutes. Apologized for not being able to get a plumber to me that afternoon (it was 1:00 PM) and scheduled me for 11:00 the next day. Next day they called to see if they could come early. They did. Completed job in a timely manner. We’re friendly and explained clearly what they were doing and offered maintenance suggestions. AJ and Kyle came to give us a quote to install a 326 lb tub. They were so knowledgeable and professional. Walked us through the process and timelines. The quote came quickly and we were able to schedule the next week.
As promised, AJ and crew were on time. Installation was impeccably done. Upon completion At cleaned the area and placed the rugs that were laying off to the side (Bonus 👍).

Technician Christian Goins came to give an estimate to replace a kitchen faucet. As with all the Halpin plumbers, he was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The main objection I have had with the company is their prices. This estimate was close to $1000 for parts and labor. This is a conflict for me because they do such good work.
Our plumbing tech was very professional, knowledgeable, and explained clearly the issues and the fix. We have a 60 year old back outlet toilet that is not typical for residential use that has been problematic for other plumbing outfits.

Halpin came out to quote a water main break. They did not tell me it’s $55 for a quote— until the guy was leaving and asked for the money. (Lesson learned— always ask if the quote is free) He verbally quoted me $3,200 for a repair and $4,500 for the whole line to be replaced. Came out on a Thursday- emailed me a quote on Wednesday the following week and it’s $3895 for repair and it’s $5275 for a whole line replaced! What a joke. In the time it took for him to give me my quote a company quoted me, replaced it for $1200 less than his first quote and we already have water!

A bit pricey but came out quick and got the job done. I trust them, I’ll use them again.
Edited: the problem was not fixed, and they took multiple weeks to get back to me (after I had to follow up a few times). I got sick of my drain backing up and went with another company. I would use Halpin again, but for the price of the first trip and it not getting fixed, they’re not my first choice.

The scheduler was friendly and professional and Luke the plumber was kind, professional and knowledgeable. While I agreed to the high price for a faucet install ($400+) took about an hour I should have asked for a price quote over the phone. Shame on me.

Do not use Halpin plumbing unless you want to pay for the service to be done TWICE. Not only did they have to cut out parts of my wall to unclog a pipe, it was clogged again in less than a month. When I spoke with the company’s receptionist, she stated that Halpin offers ZERO warranty or guarantee on their work. So not only am I out nearly $700, I had to repair my walls, and now I have to call a SECOND plumber to fix the original problem and potentially repair my walls again. Halpin stated that they would charge me a second time just to simply have their plumber look at the pipe again and not to have any work done. I am very disappointed in the quality of their work and their lack of accountability.

We have used Halpin’s many times before and always receive fantastic service. Most recent need for Halpin’s was due to a clogged toilet/possible pipe freeze during the recent subzero weather. Geoff and a colleague came by promptly and fixed the issue. They explained everything they were going to look at and possible issues. At the end they explained what they did and how to possibly avoid future issues. On top of being timely and knowledgeable they were also friendly and very clean (they wore shoe coverings) and removed when going into unfinished basement to prevent covering tracking any dirt upstairs on carpet. As always very pleased and will continue to use in future.
