STAY AWAY! I used Jim for my hot tub installation about four years ago or so and things went very well. His service has changed and so has his ethics. Another reviewer had a similar complaint from mine recently and it is clear that this is now the service you get with Bach Electric. We are heading into winter and it’s very important to get the hot tub installed and water up to temperature before freezing weather so having a procrastinator electrician is a terrible thing to have this time of year. Jim said he could do the work and set an appointment of October 12. His registration with the city was expired so he was not allowed to do the work through the permit office, he promised he would renew it, as it’s a very quick five minute process to stop in and renew. He said he would renew last week, he didn’t. Then he said he would renew it at the beginning of this week, he didn’t. Then he said he would renew it in the morning before our appointment, he didn’t. Then he didn’t even bother to show up for the appointment or even respond to messages. In fact, leading up to this sometimes it took over a week to get a response. He had the nerve to get all loud with me on the phone and say, “ I have never had someone check on my permit status as much as you” as if I was annoying him after many times of him saying he would go but didn’t. Well, I don’t like to have to check up on people but when he constantly makes false commitments and ignores all of your communication, you are left wondering what’s going on and feeling the need to check. On top of this, I took off work for our appointment and he didn’t even have the decency to contact me instead of just not showing up. Stay away from this guy! It’s also a bit sketchy his business online says closed but he still is working. Scioto Valley needs to stop referring this guy!!!
