My handyman, Jay, was courteous and professional. He listened to all my requests, talked me through what I'd need and discussed my options on my services. We even talked about some of my household items such as my security system and motion detectors and made some recommendations for alternative services. I would recommend this business to everyone! LVH & HVAC was a recommendation from DPS Pool Solutions and I appreciate their help as well. Thank you!

Justin fixed the current problem and then solved an electrical mystery for us!! Then he went on and solved some other electrical stuff we had troubles with!! Three cheers for Justin!!!

Justin was amazing. I had several items that I needed help with from installing new hanging lights in the dining room, placing a large and heavy mirror, hanging artwork and mounting the outdoor street numbers on the front of the house. Justin did all of that quickly, and professionally with a great personality and attitude.

Front door repair and seal replacement was excellent. Jim arrived on time and notified us of the status of the project as he progressed. Overall, very pleased with the service. Will definitely use Las Vegas Handyman, and Jim again.

PRICING CONCERNS REGARDING JOB PERFORMED ON 06/30/2014

I have used Las Vegas Handyman several times in the past and always have been extremely satisfied with the services rendered; see my prior reviews on Angie's List.

This was my very first encounter with Las Vegas Handyman under new ownership, specifically after its being bought out by/merging with Pro Handyman.

The first thing that I noticed when my Senior Craftsman - Ken McCloud - arrived to give me an estimate for the work that I wanted done was that pricing was no longer on a billable hour basis, but by the job. This makes for a much less transparent pricing experience for the consumer.

Previously, Las Vegas Handyman had a $80.00 to $90.00 hourly rate for labor plus supplies and you pretty much always knew how much something would cost based on how long it took to perform the work.

This is now no longer the case and the estimate provided of $1,373.00 for the aforementioned work did strike me as being on the high side, but since I needed to get this work done and had always been pleased as punch with Las Vegas Handyman in the past I accepted this proposal.

The work proceeded smoothly enough over the course of three days (several hours each day, never an entire day) and certainly appeared to be quite satisfactory initially as well as coming in at a final cost $50.00 below the initial estimate ($1,323.00 total).

The one problem that did develop occurred about 3.5 months later with the brownish wall stain/ peeling baseboard paint to the right of my shower door returning after the bottom of my shower had been newly caulked and the dry wall repaired by Las Vegas Handyman in late June 2014.

A return visit by Ken McCloud on 10/13/2014 determined this to most likely be water damage due to water seepage from my shower. I did naturally wonder why this potential problem wasn't noticed in late June 2014 during the initial services that were performed, especially since the bottom of the entire shower was newly caulked by this craftsman and any problems with shower tiles (loose, etc.) located there should have been noticed at that time to avoid having the wall damage recur.

In any case, this second follow-up visit resulted in the recommendation that my shower be properly retiled and waterproofed with wonder board to eliminate any water leakage problems that I might be having. The two estimates provided (I still have the copies.) made me feel all the more that the work that I already had paid for on 06/30/2014 was overpriced.
I received one estimate from Ken McCloud for only partial retiling of the shower - just what was needed - after tiles were removed and the surface underneath was inspected for $1,930.00 and a second estimate for retiling the entire shower for $2,512.00. Each of these estimates included the cost for once again repairing the wall damage as well as replacing the water-damaged baseboard near this area.

Now by doing a little research on the Internet, I was easily able to determine that the average cost for retiling a shower with 100 square feet of tile should cost right around $1,500.00. My shower is one-half this size, only about 50 square feet of tile needed, and thus should cost somewhere in the $700.00 to $800.00 range to redo completely.

Now this is quite outrageous, even the Las Vegas Handyman estimate for only partial retiling of my shower excessively exceeds this cost! I don't know whether this is established pricing policy at the new Las Vegas Handyman/Pro Handyman or whether this is specifically a craftsman-related pricing problem with each craftsman pricing projects for as much as he/she can get individual customers to pay.

I even still have an invoice from the old Las Vegas Handyman (prior to buyout) dating back to 01/07/2008 when a total of eight (8) rows of tiles on two walls were replaced in this very shower for a similar reason. It ended up costing me only $578.00.

Needless to say, I did not avail myself of Ken McCloud's kind offer to retile my shower and instead contacted another service provider on Angie's List.

From the first contact I observed a professional business which operates at a level not so easy to find in this area. I was stood up 3 times by another Angle's List 'business', and had to start all over. Jay Siharath called as promised when on the way. Showed up on time and followed directions. He was clean, polite and looked you in the eye. Right away he jumped on the job and diagnosed the issue. We discussed terms and he returned with materials needed. Within an hour he had the job done with skill and confidence. Above and beyond and made my day at a very stressful time. Don't hesitate to use as this quality is not the norm in my 25 years of service-seeking in Las Vegas area.

We called for a leaky bathroom faucet, since its a bid old and to change a cartridge become not a good option. We followed the technician's recommendation bought a new Moen faucet. He went out purchased a matching one for us and did a faucet changing job nicely.

I am very disappointed. I called 5 days ahead of time to make an appointment to hang 3 TVs on the wall to my new home, simple work. They send someone out to do an estimate even though i specifically told her I wanted the work done that day. Then I find out they cant even do the work next day. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME - DON'T CALL THESE CHERRY PICKERS.

My go to professional. Demo kitchen so that I could donate the cabinets so not a smash demo. And 0% damaged cabinets. Also prepped electrical and plumbing for new appliances...

We’ve used Las Vegas Handyman for a bunch of small jobs. Alex has always been great - communicates really well about his arrival time, takes time to do the little things that make a big difference - even if it’s cleaning up someone else’s work, and never, ever gets our white carpet dirty!

Quick and easy solution to several issues that were driving me crazy! not only would I recommend Jim and LV Handyman, but I intend on using them again as well

Jim replaced 2 sinks in the guest bathroom and the kitchen sink. He also installed a new garbage disposal. The bathroom sinks he installed were given to me by a friend (used), but of a far better quality than my existing sinks. By choice, I personally purchased new braided water lines for the 2 sinks, a new disposal, a new air gap, and the new stainless steel kitchen sink at Home Depot.

Jim arrived promptly to give an estimate for the labor involved and arrived promptly on the installation date, as well as texted me at least 20 minutes prior to his arrival. Throughout the estimate & installation process, he was knowledgeable, competent, courteous and friendly and, without hesitation, he answered all of my questions. Needless to say, I was very satisfied with the completed work. Las Vegas Handyman is fortunate to have an employee like Jim.

In closing this review, the costs for labor and materials (not provided by me) were reasonable in comparison to a couple of estimates I had previously received. Based on this experience, I would not hesitate to call Las Vegas Handyman again.

We have had them come out for a couple different handyman related things and they have always been prompt, easy to schedule with, fair pricing, and polite and fast to do the job. So far they have helped us with installing a range hood and a ceiling fan. We also have a quote for them to help with a gas line in the kitchen so our oven sits flush.

We will call them first for any home related fixes in the future. They are better priced than other companies we have worked with and we really liked everyone we have dealt with so far at Las Vegas Handyman & HVAC

We had a very mixed list of to do's at a rental property and needed someone who could come in and tackle everything - from changing light fixtures to check valves. We called Las Vegas Handyman because of the favorable online reviews and chose to work with them because of their responsiveness. Once the job started, Dan was able to do everything on our list - calmly and thoroughly. Nothing phased him. Finally someone reliable and capable who didn't leave with the job half-finished or poorly done!

Thank you Las Vegas Handyman! On 11/19/2020 your technician Justin came to my home to take a look at my loosely mounted kitchen faucet. Justin had the right tool that was able to reach the small crevice and fix the matter quickly. He wore his mask as well as booties for his shoes. All around outstanding service and I am very grateful.

We've used Las Vegas Handyman & HVAC a few times around the house and they're the best. Super responsive, dependable, and communicative. I did have one outstanding experience recently, however, when my parents had a gas leak. I called Las Vegas Handyman & HVAC like usual and Brenna did a ton of digging to get us the best advice and recommendation to resolve our problem. I appreciate her personal involvement and the level of care she showed our family.

I really wish i had contacted this company first. I had 3 plumbing companies completely flake on me. I was just trying to get my moms tub faucet pipe repaired so she could shower. My mom actually saw this business as we drove by and i looked them up when i got home. The excellent reviews are definitely on par with my experience. They sent Mark, a senior craftsman over to see it and he sent me over a proposal the next morning. Just how Mark interacted with me i could easily see he knew what he was doing. He fixed it perfectly and I was even charged less than the original bid was. How often do you see that anymore? Also their hourly is very reasonable and easily earned. Mark even moved his sched around a bit to accommodate us and get it fixed asap since it was my moms only shower and he knew what a hard time we had trying to get it fixed before them. Anyway, use this company. They are awesome.

No star was not an option. Mixed up wanting painting work done same day. Handyman called to say he would only be able to give me a quote because he had no ladder or proper equipment and it would probably be a waste of time. So I called LVH and they were sending another handyman out who could do the work. 3 hours later he still never showed up. I understand circumstances come up that may delay arrival time. A call would have been appreciated. I called again to cancel.

We have been using Las Vegas Handyman for many years for different household needs. We recently had a water softener installed by LV Handyman that we purchased from Lowes. Even though there were a few issues at the beginning with installation, Las Vegas Handyman and Zack immediately fixed all issues at no expense to us. The quality of work has always been to our satisfaction. This time was no different. We highly recommend this company. DF

We had several tasks that needed repair/replacement. We were able to schedule one to be completed today, and the others on another appointment next week when our schedule was compatible with the craftsman because of the extended time needed for the tasks. Not only did Wally replace a light fixture for us, he took a few extra minutes to paint the ceiling (using our paint) where the new fixture did not match the outline of the one he replaced.

I have used the services of Las Vegas Handyman on several different occasions over the last year and a half. I have called them about everything from plumbing (repairs and installation) to woodwork (mantel rebuild/flooring install) and electrical/lighting repairs and also locksmith services and water heater replacement.

I keep going back to this company because they are professional, knowledgeable, reliable and most importantly - trustworthy. I have never felt I was being “sold” or “talked” into anything. 12/2022: Technician Matt repaired an upstairs toilet leak that affected the drywall in the downstairs bedroom below. He replaced the wax ring and repaired the drywall and also installed 4 smoke detectors. One month after the repair the spot of drywall that was repaired looked to be wet again. I called LV Handyman with the concern and they contacted Matt and he came over within the hour! There was nothing wrong, simply different shades of primer in natural light. I have used The Handyman on several different occasions. On All Occasions they have called me before they come over. They've always been on time kind and courteous. I have never once had trouble or felt uncomfortable with one of their workers being present in my home while I was there alone. I wanted to love them and have used them a few times and probably given them more chances than I should have. First time was for a plumbing issue and they were amazing. Second time was for a light fixture that went out. Also amazing. 3rd and 4th time get a bit frustrating. 3rd time had someone come out to fix a leak in our bathroom. Was quoted one price and charged a much higher price. They also promise one date and time and do not deliver. Took over a week to have repairs done that a plumber would have had done in a day. (Should have called a plumber) last time was for a drawer repair. We had a drawer that needed the base replaced. Quoted a reasonable price and was promised a day or 2 for repairs. Over a week later we finally got the drawer back. The service person promised a discount due to the time delay. Received the bill, no discount. Texted the service person. Said he would look into. Texted again, never heard from him. I would call the office but after our 3rd incident we did deal with the office and they were not customer friendly. Sadly I had to learn the hard way after many times of being disappointed to not use this company anymore .

Repaired clogged faucet in downstairs bathroom sink. Zac was forced to remove the entire faucet as it was calcified and he cleaned the interior portion and replaced the faucet screen. It works fine now.

Steve did wonderful work preparing our kitchen for our new cabinets. The layout completely changed and he was able to do everything from moving electrical and plumbing to raising the height of the ceiling. We encountered a couple hiccups along the way on our end, but Steve was flexible and offered sound advice and guidance. There is no doubt we will hire him again for future projects.

The repair was to the bath tub faucet, fast and quality work was done in a professioanl manner.

Ken was on time, very professional and answers questions willingly and clearly. However, the issue of the shower not having warm water was not diagnosed properly at the start and this resulted in replacing a semi new shower valve/mixture that worked properly. I believe it's an honest mistake and of course we still have to pay for his time and effort. He's a nice person, but he works with a company that you have to pay for their time not the favorable result. Let's look at it on the bright side, I guess my residents won't be wasting water and taking long showers any longer.....

I needed my kitchen ceiling lights repaired, I also had him che k a bathroom fan both were fixed by Jay the technician who was very knowledgeable, efficient and pleasant

We requested to have a “Plumber” come to our home to check the plumbing in 2 of our bathrooms. As it stated on their website, they have Plumbers and that they also do tile work. Our request for the Plumber was to address an unpleasant scent that was coming from one of the shower units along with possible tile replacement, and the other issue was for a drain issue in a separate bathroom.

After waiting for 2 days for the Plumber, they sent over an Electrician, who was absolutely clueless on what to do or what the problem was.

This was for a 2nd opinion as we had an actual Plumber come in a few days back. For this company to send an Electrician to our home for Plumbing issues, is/was mind boggling!!

This was A Huge waste of our time and day!

Steve did an excellent job of completing a complex installation of our new French doors. This two-day job involved framing a too-wide opening to fit the doors we'd selected, building a customized opening, hanging the doors, replacing moldings, painting around the area, and installing a custom doorknob. I use Las Vegas Handyman on occasion. This time Mark was my serviceman. Not only did he get the job done in a timely manner, he went over ways for me to prevent the issue from occurring in the future. Mark was definitely knowledgable. If your looking to use LVHM ask for Mark, he knows his stuff.

The technician was very thorough and did excellent work. For what was asked to be completed, the charge was excessively high. I was not expecting that high of a fee and did not receive an estimate prior to the work being done. Perhaps I should have been more aasertive and asked.

We have used this company before and their work is excellent, but I was put out with the service cost this time. I'm not sure I can afford to use them again.

I needed a battery changed in a smoke detector and didn't have a tall enough ladder. I was told there was no minimum amount and I would be charged by the job. My son let him because I was not there. The cost was $109 and he gave me a $25 coupon, so $84 for a two minute job. I will never use him again.

Chad put up two outdoor 16.5 inch shades. He couldn't get the lines on the corners tight. It was windy when he tried unsuccessfully. So, will redo the work today with turnbuckle pieces I bought from Lowe's.

I heard such great things about this company, unfortunately they were nothing as described. I called this company Tuesday of last week to have someone come give us an idea for a large job - cabinets to be re-painted, possibly an epoxy for our counter tops and to give us a price idea to paint a desk or just purchase a new one.

Mark: the contractor they had sent out that Thursday (This was great!) came highly recommended (I wish I could agree with a fraction of what they had said). The gentleman came on time (This was a great start) but seemed to be a bit smug and not very interested in the job we had to offer..at the end of his walk through he explained he would send over a price sheet as I explained we were looking to get started asap and cost wasn't a big factor we needed quality work and were ready to pay for it.

Friday morning I still hadn't received an emailed price list (It's the end of a work week so this was completely okay - I had expected an email by Monday - Tuesday.) I called their office on Monday to follow up and was told I would be called right back...I hadn't heard anything so I called Tuesday..I was told someone would call me back....they called me back to explain the contractor wasn't returning their calls.

This morning (Wednesday) I called to follow up and spoke with a man who agreed with me that this was becoming too familiar with all of the other contractors service we have experienced the past...he agreed there would be no hard feelings

I am not one to write such a negative review, but I sure wish this company had pulled through for us.

A buddy recommended I call Las Vegas handyman and ask for Jay. Jay Siharath came by to a home I was absolutely concerned about. He gave me fair estimates for all of the work and honestly helped me feel better about my whole situation. The estimate was free!! He was super thorough and I really had no more concerns after the visit. The people working reception were great as well. Definitely going to keep calling on them and recommend them to everyone I know.

Used the company once with good results, however the second time was awful and I will not be repeating my experience.

The handyman got offended I had another handyman there AS REQUIRED BY MY LANDLORD because I cannot have anyone fix my plumbing but them. (Wish I could!)

The challengeing part was replication of the existing texture on the wall. It's not the normal knock down texture, it's much more difficult. It took a few passes, but the final product is perfect. Las Vegas Handyman was very professional and completed the work within the quoted amount and on time.

Had a leak in my condo that damaged the ceiling of my neighbor downstairs. They replaced a 6x6 inch section of drywall and charged me $1152.00, SERIOUSLY!!! I think it was a ripoff, and they took advantage of me. I told the repairman that was about $32.00 a square inch for the repair and he just said that’s what they charge. So beware!

We have used LV Handyman twice now and can't imagine using any other service. They have installed a new kitchen sink for us, replaced some plumbing, installed ceiling fans, and fixed an outdoor faucet. We will use them for all future improvements to our home! They're very reasonably priced, friendly, and most importantly: ON TIME!

He mounted two flat screen televisions for me and knew exactly what to do. I have no fear that they will fall off the wall! Don't even bother calling if you have dogs! My 38 pound boxer started boxing when the handyman came to my door. Even after I locked her up he still didn't want to come in my house. I told him she wasn't going to bite him, his response being you don't know that! Yes I do because she's locked up and has NEVER bit any one before. Then, after hardly stepping foot in my bathroom, he quoted me $315 to recaulk the bottom of a 3x5 shower

I had various projects ranging from hanging art work (at the top of a 19 foot wall) to various lighting and ceiling fan projects. Justin showed up on time and completely the work exactly as we had asked. Couldn’t be happier with the quality of work.

Just wasting time and money very unprofessional we called this company after reading reviews . We called company replaced the filter they charge over charge $208 even brand new whole filter system coming $238 and guy coming our house he looks you tube video then working and breaking our water tank how to we know because we called manufacture company people . It’s okay we learned something don’t choose company with reviews and there customer service so rude and bad the lady always so loud and rude.

Jay was very nice. He came on time. He fixed the things that were on my list, however he had to come back a second time. The screen door still wasn't sliding well, the drawer fix didn't hold up and the paint color match wasn't a good match. I think the supplies were way overpriced. So I just didn't feel I got the value in the service. Wasnt completely happy with the outcome of the wall paint job, so when he came backd he ended up painting half the wall instead of leaving the touchups, so I ended up with a two-toned wall (the wall is a 2 story wall). He forgot to put in the fridge/freezer door handle switch in the estimate so I was charged an additional 59$ for that. I noticed that the freezer handle had a crack on it afterwards and pointed it out to him. He said he would buy me another and mail it to me. Don't know if he is going to actually follow through on it. I did send an email to the company to address these issues and never got a response. Would I use this company again? Probably not.

My shower faucet was difficult to turn on and off. The water no longer mixed, I was only getting hot water. My house is 28 years old and in spite of the age of the fixture, Justin was able to repair it and did it quickly and cleanly.

Jim did an amazing job removing our old bathroom tub/toilet and replacing them with a new walk-in shower/push-button toilet. It took him 4 days, meticulously going over every detail, making sure everything works properly and repainting the drywall. His work was very professional and answered all our questions throughout the process. The final result is a shower room that looks and works beautifully.

I didn't mark Value because I have never had a bathroom sink & toilet replaced. I can say that Ll the other categories were completed professionally, on time without any issues or problems. Did a great job putting in an overhead rack in the garage, putting in a new exterior locking door knob in both the front & garage doors, removing a sliding door on the tub (looks like there never was one) and mounting curtain rods. Great work and prices aren’t that bad, but technician was very short and rude to my wife.

Robert did a great job installing my new kitchen faucet (which was not an easy task) due to the R/O system under the sink that he had to disconnect just to get under to take out and install the new faucet. He was professional, courteous, and made sure everything was working properly. I will definitely keep them in mind for future jobs I may need.

Justin was able to stop the leaking water bibb by replacing only the vacuum breaker. I wanted to have the old bibb replaced with a new bibb. But the new bibb was not compatible with the old nut in the wall. To replace the old nut would have been more expensive. The leak is stopped.

Mark is our go to handyman. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and executes excellence in every task we give him with a great attitude. I recommend him and give him 5 stars.

Felt a little overpriced but Wally was great and know the company stands behind guaranteeing the work and will fix again at no cost if something goes wrong. Paid $574 labor and $175 in materials ($749 all in) to have an over-the-counter microwave installed (old one removed), shelf remounted, sound bar remounted, re-affixing 2 bathroom sinks and redoing the plumbing underneath the sink that was slightly dripping, also making the plumbing under the sink compliant as the home builder cut corners.
