Dockside Plumbing

I’ll let you make your own decisions on this one. I called American Home Shields they sent out dockside plumbing. American Home Shields said dockside plumbing said something and denied my claim and I would have to get a second opinion. Dockside plumbing said American Home Shields lied to me, but they were going back-and-forth and nothing ever came of it. If the second opinion said the same thing as Doc Side said I’d have to pay an additional $75. They sent out a plumber to do a second opinion, and it was fixed in 20 minutes. My question was why wasn’t it fixed when Doc Side came out

look elsewhere when you need plumbing done at your home. This company is untrustworthy.

Dockside Plumbing was sent to me via home warranty company. The Dockside personnel were extremely professional and courteous. They idenified the water leak quickly but unfortunately weren't able to repair immediately due to unavailable parts. Chris the owner called me the same day to inform me that there is a class action lawsuit on the hotwater pipes in my condo. No wonder parts aren't readily available! I had an extensive and informative conversation with Chris, the owner. I definitely recommend using Dockside services!

Very professional and fast service!

Like many reviewers, Dockside was sent out to us by our home warranty AHS. Unlike many of the reviews I read beforehand, our experience was very positive. (I'm a bit late to post this; they came out a couple months ago)

We had water staining on our ceiling that was new. The first plumber that came out did exactly as you expect from someone doing work for a home warranty- nothing. We asked for a second opinion and AHS sent out Dockside.

They replied promptly and sent someone out pretty quick; I think it was only a day's wait. Carlos was extremely thorough as the ultimate cause of the leak was far from obvious. In our case, we had an overflow pipe on our tub that wasn't attached properly. Carlos explained that this would not be covered by our home warranty (which was fair) and was probably more well-versed on the conditions of our home warranty than anyone we've ever spoken to from AHS. He also gave some excellent recommendations on how we could easily fix the problem ourselves and gave some general pointers to other things he saw during his diagnosis for us to keep an eye on. We were very grateful for him going above and beyond.

We're fairly new to the area, so it was nice to find a capable plumber. I would have no hesitation to use them again, and I expect to make use of their services in the future for some other upgrades we're pondering for the house.

RUN!! If your home warranty tries to assign them to you call and ask for a different company.

I believe along with many here I was brought to Dockside via American Home Shield Warranty. Although when I was dealing with AHS, it was very clunky and honestly not a great experience including the fact that I thought my issue would be fully covered and wasn't. Not to mention it looked like they didn't cover anything with the verbiage they used in the quote they sent.

Working with Dockside however was an excellent experience and I hope the reviews relating to AHS don't prevent people from using them. They were great at communication, informative about how the warranty company works, and most importantly ACTUALLY showed up during the time window they provided. I will definitely be looking to them for any other plumbing needs I have with how positive this experience was despite AHS.

The absolute WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE that I've EVER encountered. After reading the reviews of this business, it's absolutely pointless for me to go into detail. However, I can say that even judging by the responses to their reviews, that this company must be a front for a long shark, and all the employees are related or something. Lol. It's no way that an owner of a reputable business would continually employ a staff that's dishonering its name with such a lack of professionalism. ***It's obviously something up here!

This company is complete scams, they sent out two guys barely looked at the leaks and they just ask you to sign to end the contract. On the contract the handwriting was super messy and small on purpose. They also lie on the contract on reasons why they can’t fix it. I HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND

I usually don’t write a review but considering the awful service this company offers I just had to, please if your gonna file a claim with American home shield most likely they are going to send this company out to your home don't cancel it. Awful customer service. Specially the lady that answer the phone yelling she apparently hates her job and no wonder your company has such nasty reviews and a 2 star I give you a 0. Don't recommend this company to anyone.

Dockside Plumbing was referred to us by the home warranty for a tankless water heater. They came out within 24 hours, Chris was highly knowledgeable and professional throughout the process. Parts had to be ordered and Chris kept us up to date the entire time. Job was completed quick and seamlessly. I will be using Dockside Plumbing again in the future.

If I could give a zero star I would. This is one of AHS' subcontractors who was sent to fix 3 plumbing problems in my home. Out of those 3, he only did one because he said the other 2 problems are not covered because it's not wear and tear. I mean what's considered as wear and tear for a shower? Anyway, the toilet that was supposedly fixed, still has a leak. I paid $100 for this guy to come into my home, bringing his shoes in without covering them, which potentially brings the virus in, and still not resolve any of the problems. Won't recommend.

The poor reviews on here do not lie. This company is TERRIBLE! Please look at the work performed in the photo. Hard glue is left behind on the marble surrounds and the faucet isn’t attached properly. I’ve left messages for the company and have not received any response.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This place is terrible with communication. They charged a $75 fee to sit there and blame me for damage to my toilet that would be impossible to do myself. Due to their lies my warranty company denied my claim and I had to get it fixed myself. This company said they needed 24 hours to figure out what to do with my toilet and never heard back from them until my warranty company contacted me denying my claim. This company is terrible and the employees just accuse you of things and then lie to the warranty to have claims denied so we have to pay them to get things fixed. Will never use this company again.

We used Dockside Plumbing to repair a leaking shower handle. I would highly recommend them to any one seeking to solve a plumbing problem.

They didn't even do a thing!!! Problem with my toilet , they don't have enough tools to fix the problem. And they were in there for not even 10 min. and said they can't fix the clog or they couldn't find the clean out outside the house. Then came back to try a different way and out the door in less than a minute saying he can't fix it. I DON'T RECOMMEND DOCKSIDE PLUMBING AT ALL!!!!

Had such a wonderful experience. The team is friendly and they take the time to explain what is going on and what needs to be done in order to fix the issue. They were very professional. I’ll never look elsewhere for a plumber moving forward.

I usually don’t write a review but considering the awful service this company offers I just had to, please if your gonna file a claim with American home shield most likely they are going to send this company out to your home don’t accept then request someone else these people have no knowledge of what they are doing, do yourself a favor and call Elliot’s pluming they’ll come out and get you going in no time but this dockside pluming never again, they said they couldn’t unclog the bathroom and to call someone else, what a joke and they are a pluming company lol

This company was sent out by my home warranty. I paid my $85 copayment to them. The man told my husband there was nothing wrong with the toilet and that I needed to get someone to come out and clean my plumbing vents. The problem was the toilet tank was not holding water and there was no visible leak anywhere. This company owes me $85. I had the o-ring and the line replaced from the shut-off valve to the tank and lo and behold, plenty of water to flush the toilet on a daily basis. Must have been a very slow leak. We actually went out of town for an entire week and came back and the toilet is fine. I expect my refund in the mail.

The owner April, snapped & screamed at the top of her lungs at me because her plumber came in my condo after replacing the supply line upstairs. Apparently that's against her policy, so…yell at him, not me. April was screaming so loud, telling me I was a liar, is there something wrong with my head, or am I on something. I finally just hung up. She wasn't done, she called me 14 times I'm 30 minutes, left me a couple messages saying I need to man up & apologize to her…for what I'm not sure. I never said anything harsh, I never raised my voice. So now I'm telling them…man up you owe me an apology. Btw…I've saved the messages & took screen shots of the 14 calls she made & I declined.

All companies when they get a bad review try saying it wasn't them.. it was this company, I CONFFIRMED IT TWICE WITH AHS!! Man-up!!!

After a hiccup in communication last week, Dockside Plumbing worked to resolve the coverage issue with my home warranty company. They sent a VERY competent plumber
today, Goldman, who did the work professionally without any need for clean up. GREAT JOB !!

This plumbing company does price gouging. Our warranty company sent them out and they added extra charges in excess of $400 over a water heater that was still under warranty. Owner claimed warranty company pays them $200 and up charged including permit another $435 besides $75 service fee I paid. I choose not to us them had to for go the $75 and paid another vendor of my choosing . The warranty co will to reimburse me for the installation. So everyone do your homework before dealing with Dockside Plumbing.

Worst customer service ever. Stay away. No wonder they only have 3 stars review.
The lady was raising her voice when I was trying to schedule an appointment and the guys at the background were giggling when I commented on her shockingly unprofessional attitude. They clearly didn’t want my business. Glad a I luckily found a better company which I will be more than happy to recommend and refer everyone too.

The 2nd time they came to my house 🏘️ one of the plumbers was very rude. They refuse to wear a mask when inside of my apartment. Clearly there is a note on my front door saying please wear a mask when entering my apartment. This was brought to the owners attention and they did nothing. As a result I am going to have a Covid test. I would not recommend them to anyone. They condone their workers being rude to people.

Do not use or trust this company if America home shield sends them out. They will find away to get America home shield to deny your claim and find lots fake problems in your home and offer to fix them for a huge fee. This company is full of dishonest people that will take advantage of you. Do not trust them. Get a second opinion if they find anything wrong.

If I could give this company a 0 I would. The level of professionalism is nonexistent. They will come over and not do what they are supposed to do and say none of your requests were covered with your home warranty. The will falsify documentation to try to make themselves look as if you are in the wrong. Their technicians are not trained in their craft, but are trained in the art of lying. Please do not use these people. They are hostile and will go to any lengths to get out of doing their job. I will be reporting them to the BBB.

Dockside Plumbing was assigned by American Home Shield. I cannot recommend. They misdiagnosed the problem, asked us twice to order parts/get parts from manufacturer, failed to order parts for false problem they identified. Many other issues. Real plumber I hired after them found real problem and took care of it four hours after I called. The staff could go to charm school, it would help their email and phone call skill. Get someone else.

Dockside sent 2 plumbers and when I told them what I had done to try to solve a shower clog, they said there was nothing they can do and didn't even try anything, promptly charged me. I repeat , didn't even try to snake it or anything. They were all of 5 minutes. Got someone else and they worked at it for an hour and solved it. Thanks for nothing dockside , you got me for 90 bucks.

Dockside plumbing was sent out by American Home Shield to diagnose my leaky water heater. It's a 17 year old water heater but the tech managed to write the diagnosis in a way that AHS denied the claim, saying the failure of the water heater was due to secondary sources. It's pretty shady that the company assigned by AHS is the same one who decides if the item is covered. If your home warranty hires this company for anything, ask to use a different one. They are working in cahoots. I've since canceled American Home Shield as a result of this experience, and I will tell anyone and everyone that Dockside Plumbing is NOT to be trusted.

This company was assigned to my plumbing issue from my home warranty. We had a leak from my toilet on the second floor that we heard leaking onto the ceiling of the first floor. The plumber they sent out said it was due to the fact that our tile was uneven in our bathroom, even though we have been here for 3 years with no leaks at all. Since he said that was the reason, that classified as “not normal wear and tear” to which our home warranty did not cover. I called my younger brother who is a plumber in Ohio and showed him what was going on and he said just to replace the wax ring underneath the toilet. Went to Home Depot, spent $6, replaced the wax ring myself. Problem solved. No leaks after several flushes. So thanks to this guy they sent out, I wasted $125 and this guy could have been a decent human and fixed it for me. I highly DO NOT recommend

This company , their plumbers and the assistant's office are so unprofessional, irresponsibles and they give false statements .

Carlos the technical plumbing came to repaired our sink's leak. after the inspection, he did not find any problem, I told him wait the leak it could take some time . Finally, he told I will be back to fix the problem , I need a part, and I did not check the description in the work paper because this has never happened with any other company. As a result his false statement was that my husband broke the pipe and because and the dockside plumbing company did not fix the leaking .

This is an unprofessional company that give false statements, charge the insurance companies , charge the copay and do not provide the service.

DO NOT HIRE THIS UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY. IT IS THE WORST EVER PLUMBING COMPANY IN LAS VEGAS.

We had a problem with our Rheem water heater gas valve which malfunctioned right before Christmas and having called Rheem about the problem, referred me to their list of qualified technicians. I called all on the list and most didn’t want to quote over the phone or they charged double what Dockside Plumbing charged me.

Dockside Plumbing was fair, reliable and upfront (no hidden or surprise charges upon job completion) and that is refreshing in this town where most businesses try to nickel and dime you where they can.

The person who scheduled me on the phone I believe her name was Hailey? was very pleasant and we got to talk about the business history. I got a sense of an honest, hard working family run operation which resonates with me and I support 100%.

Chris came out to our home on time and called before hand to let us know he was on the way. Upon arrival he was able to fix the problem quickly and efficiently and had a nice little chat with the family.

Definitely will be using Dockside Plumbing from now on and highly recommend. If you value no-nonsense business transaction with good value and support family owned operations, then Dockside Plumbing is for you. Thank you Chris and Hailey!

This company staff and manager Chris is extremely rude and unprofessional. When the lady called to schedule she was over talking me and when i asked if someone can come out today due to a leak getting worse she responded i called you yesterday and you never called me back I tried to explain to her that i never got a call from her, and advised her that if i don't answer because i am at work then they can enter as someone will be at the home. As i was talking she hung up on me. I called back and the manager Chris was very loud, defending her behavior and said they will not go out if i don't answer, i said but someone will be there even if i don't answer because i am at work and he said no if you don't answer no-one will go out. Then after i confirmed the time i got a text they cancelled my service appointment. So they treat their customers very rudely and don't seem to care that there is a severe water leak that needs fixed. Customers should not be treated so rude by any company.

They were assigned by our warranty company and were supposed to replace the water heater. We had a leaky heater and water damage in our closet next to outside heater. We asked the plumber company to remove water heater so the restoration company can dry out that place and make sure no mold and dockside plumbing people said they don’t do that. They don’t bother to make a trip to our house to remove it. They will come to remove it when they put the new one, they don’t care about having to dry the walls. The person on the phone was super rude and unprofessional and did not even allow us to explain the situation. Pretty much said not our problem!
I will never ever use them or recommend them!!!

PLEASE READ ALL-After reading reviews, I told my warranty company to send someone else. It was actually the OWNER COMMENTS that turned me away from using this company. I refuse to deal with people like that.

Chris and entire Dockside staff are great. They solved our water heater problems. I highly recommend this service company. Everyone is professional and they are a positive team.

Not reading the comment section beforehand may probably be the worst choice of life, but again I can't do much because they were directly assigned by AHS. 100% avoid this company. They sneakily find ways to get away the contract by giving false statement and writing as scribbled as possible. If you aren't reading carefully and simply signed, you are basically scammed. I felt so terrible today as seeing ppl like these abusing other's trust. Definitely filing reports to local regulations.

Great service! Quick and easy through the home warranty.

Just look at most of the 1 star reviews of this company and you can judge for yourself how unprofessional Dockside Plumbing is. My home warranty hired this company to do a repair on my bath faucet. After not being able to do the initial repair, they falsely told my warranty company that I disassembled the fixture myself and so they denied my claim for further repair. They actually called me and were upset that I left a bad review. He ended the call by swearing at me and then hanging up! If your warranty company refers these people to you, ask for a different company!

UPDATE: My warranty company sent a different company to perform the repair. They completed the job in about 30 minutes without incident or complaint. Funny...they really couldn't understand what the big deal was!

They lie to get more money out of the people who have a warranty They are not professional and do not want to do the work if you are under warranty The BBB needs a report about them immediately .look at all the negative reviews terrible company
