Fast and efficient!

Late on Sat. night we called Midwest for emergency service on our water heater that was leaking water all over the basement. After 6 calls the person who was on emergency service called me. Some how in 3 minutes he diagnosed we needed a new water heater. However he didn't have one and the warehouse was locked. My gosh shouldn't he have had the key? Then he told us he needed to call his manager and he would call us back first thing Sunday morning. No call. Not even a call on Monday. Do they deserve our service ever again? No! I have switched to another company that showed me they were interested and willing to provide us competent service for our heating, a/c and plumbing.

I like my new furnace/ac system. The new thermostat they put in is much easier to use and see. I appreciated the company sending someone to help with the furnace when it was freezing outside. Called for service Saturday evening 6/3 due to my A/C not working. Technician Josh called me back and advised that he would come Sunday 6/4 between 8:00 am and noon. No call, no show. Called to speak to the service manager on Monday morning 6/5. I left a VM. 2 days later, no call back. These people used to be great and I’ve used them for 25 years. Will never call again.

I called the only phone number listed and was asked what I needed. I clearly stated, I have water pooling in my basement because the floor drain in the basement, which catches the air conditioner condensation, needs to be cleaned out. The girl on the phone said no problem, we will send someone out this Friday. Great. Well come Friday (service day) the wrong person was sent out. It was a guy who fixes air-conditioners. I asked him to read me back the dispatch he received about what my issue was. It said that the floor drain needed to be cleaned. Clearly the wrong person, mistakes happen. OK, no problem - I paid the $99 service fee and asked that they send me the CORRECT PERSON (a plumber) but that I didn't think I should pay another $99 dollar service fee since I was pretty clear about what my service request was. The company refused this request and stated that not only would it take 2 weeks to get a plumber, but that I would also need to pay the service fee again for something that was clearly not my fault. The girl on the phone handling my complaint said well we have three divisions. I said well that's fine, why didn't you get me to the correct one or dispatch the right person after you heard what my service request was for? You only have 1 phone number listed that I saw....She had no answers except that she would put me through to a customer service voice mail - thanks but no thanks. Total waste of my time and terrible customer service. Never using them again. Too many options out there to deal with this BS.

Contacted online to get a bid for work to fix knocking in my air ducts. When I got a call from Midwest, they said my two options were to pay for my furnace to be cleaned or pay $99 service charge for them to come out and tell me what is wrong. I asked for a bid to fix air duct knocking and the representative I talked to on the phone made no attempt to understand my request. Looks like they do not need my business.

I have always appreciated the straightforwardness aspect of this group they tell you exactly what they're doing how they're doing it what it will cost you up front. they always follow through, their maintenance schedule is matches my schedule. Heater was not working at 11 pm. They answered my emergency call, and explained that there was no harm in waiting till morning. I called at 9 am to schedule an inspection, but they already had a tech scheduled to my home. We thought the thermostat might have been faulty, but let the tech do his own assessment. Within an hour he had the heat going, and suggested a thermostat replacement. We had already purchased a replacement, which he installed, and was gone in little over an hour.
I should mention another “well-known” company had suggested a new furnace, for a couple thousand dollars.

Once again Midwest has proven to be THE BEST! Today I had a new water heater installed and I want to thank you for sending Eric to handle the job for me. He was friendly, efficient and so very nice to work with. He is indeed a credit to your company.Thank you again for providing your usual affordable and exceptional service.

They're extremely friendly, prompt and professional.

They installed our initial system when we built our home in 1990, and they have provide maintenance, upgrades and repairs as needed ever since. They have my confidence and approval for the quality work they’ve always provided.

My heat failed over the weekend, so I left a message for them to call me Monday morning. They called as soon as they opened and set me an appointment for 3 hrs later. Showed up on time, clearly was very knowledgeable about the heating system, and did the repair as fast and cheap as possible. Second time using this company, and it will definitely not be the last! I'll always call Midwest first for any HVAC issues.

I have used Midwest Heating & Cooling for annual maintenance inspections and servicing since they installed the HVAC system in my new house years ago. I have never been disappointed. Their attention to my AC unit resulting in it lasting years longer than average and the original furnace still runs perfectly. Wouldn't use anyone else!

MWHAC recently replaced our AC unit. They were friendly, fast, and performed quality work. All around they were awesome and I look forward to using them again.

MW tech came out quickly and got the unit running. Cost was $300. Unit quit afain 7 hrs. later doing same thing it did before repair. In all fairness, tech stated the unit might quit again. I did think it would run a few days or at least until we could replace the unit. Rather disappointed.

Came back with new unit with best price from multiple bids. Applied credit for previous work. Very professional and quickly got us up and running. Would definitely recommend them and will use them in the future if i need more work.

We have two HVAC units in our home. We have had a another company in the past service us but we decided to try Midwest Heating Cooling & Plumbing this time on a recommendation we received. We were not disappointed. The technician was prompt and very personable. He also took a few extra steps to make the install cleaner which was very much appreciated. We will be using them again.

They were as efficient, respectful and cooperative as they have been when I've used them in the past. I also have a service agreement with them and will continue to do so.

Their technician, Scott, has been quite competent with diagnoses and recommendations on our two HVAC units.

Midwest Heating and Cooling are wonderful! Our furnace went out on Tuesday evening and they were here on Wednesday at noon. Turned out to be our evaporator which they were able to get fixed in a matter of minutes.

I had a really good experience with this company. They have now replaced both of my 18 year-old HVAC units. The installers were very professional and friendly. Mike Epps was my sales person and he was great. No, they are not the cheapest in town, but price also depends on the kind of equipment you purchase. We had purchased a water heater from a retail store for a business office in KCMO because our handy man told us it needed to be replaced. The Midwest tech recognized immediately that it only needed a repair and a temperature adjustment, saving us more than half the cost of the visit! Plus we still have an unused brand new water heater we can return/sell or whatever! They were TOP notch professionals from beginning to end and I'd recommend them to everyone.

I’ve used Midwest for a long time then moved to a new place. Called them to clean a drain and replace a bathtub spout. The little thing you pull on the spout wasn’t fully diverting the water from the tub to the shower. I’m of bad health and don’t have time or energy to deal with these things, thus I let the guy rip me off. Cost: $99 for visit, $210 to clear bathtub drain(5 minutes work - just poured a drain cleaner down it), $200 to install bathtub spout. They were going to charge an additional $99 on top of this for 2nd visit to install spout, unless I paid them $310 that day to clean drain. I have a Midwest furnace & water heater too. No one can tell me where the filter goes in. The Midwest plumber couldn’t tell me. They asked for ANOTHER $99 to send out a furnace guy. So, all total, the cost to clean one bathtub drain, replace the bathtub spout, & show me where the furnace filter is installed: $710 + tax

The Midwest plumber could not tell me where the filter goes. I repeat, Midwest was going to charge me 3x $99 for each visit 1/initial visit 2/visit to install spout 3/visit to tell me where the filter goes in the Midwest installed furnace(no repair) This is on top of the drain cleaning(5 minutes work) & spout replacement of $410 for a total of $710. I admit I agreed to pay initial visit fee and the drain cleaning & spout replacement, but just because I agreed does not mean I wasn’t grossly overcharged. For Midwest not to send someone who CAN tell me where the filter goes because the plumber CANNOT is like adding insult to injury.

Yes, I was expecting the plumber to be back to install the spout early this week, but when I talked to him yesterday, he said he didn’t even remember who I was, nor agreeing to order the spout. Now, it won’t be until next week, when it was supposed to just be 2 days. Needless to say, this has been a disaster and huge expense for something minor. They also gave me a quote of over $2,000 to replace a 40 gallon water heater.

I have the quotes and receipts, so I’m not making this up. Then they have the nerve to come on here and tell me to Have A Nice Day.

Service technician Brandal was very knowledgeable and efficient. He quickly found the problem and fixed the air conditioner. He was respectful and impressive. I was also impressed with Midwest's website, history, and the many positive comments I have heard about Midwest from neighbors and friends.

There is an impostor calling about duct cleaning. They are from India and want to steal you money and credit card information. They use a disconnected number for caller ID. If you are the real owner of this business call the police and state attorney general to have this matter looked at.

We recently called Midwest Heating and Cooling to look at our air conditioner that was not blowing cold air. The technician, Steve, said that we were low on freon. After filling it with freon, he then told us that it may or may not hold the freon. One would think that when you pay $99 that the technician would actually diagnose something. Oh no! In order to run a test to determine a leak, there is another $12e fee. Isn't that what there is job is?! To diagnose and fix the problem. Needless to say, within 2-3 days, the air wasn't blowing air again. Out $300 and now have to pay someone else to fix our air conditioner. One would think they would stand by their work and offer a discount on the next service call. Apparently, people don't back their work these days. We will not be recommending this company.

The service was done well and questions were answered.

I invited six different companies to provide proposals for the replacement of our main furnace/air conditioning unit, which had served us well for more than 30 years.

Greg Latshaw, one of Midwest's 'Comfort Advisors,' came to our home and carefully measured and inquired about our needs. He spent a fair amount of time working on three separate recommendations for a system, based on various levels of efficiency. He was one of the few whose proposal included details about rebates from Evergy and the equipment manufacturer, Lennox in this case.

After carefully comparing the six proposals, Midwest came up to the top. None of the proposals were inexpensive, but Midwest's proved to be the best value, in part because of the extra work Greg did to present rebates that helped mitigate the high cost somewhat.

Our installers worked extremely well as a team. Each had his list of responsibilities, one working in the basement to remove the old furnace and coil, the other outside removing the old compressor, and then each working on installation of the new equipment. They then worked together to finish the details and test the system, and every aspect of their handiwork was done with pride...cables and drain hoses neatly installed and wire-tied for a very clean and professional final project.

They had to return a few days later to install new thermostats that weren't initally available, as well as new humidiers (including one for the existing smaller system that serves the upper level), and then return a third time when I requested a change, the installation of a wireless thermostat gateway. Each time they came they were right on time, which is something I value greatly and the primary installation was completely finished on the first day. They also made sure the floors and stairs down to the basement were covered when the old equipment was hauled out and the new brought in. And, they slipped on shoe covers every time they came in until those covers were laid down.

So when it's time to replace the smaller upstairs unit, I won't be calling six companies, but will call the best, Midwest! Thanks Greg and team for a professional, high quality installation.

We have been customers of Midwest H&C for years so decided to use their plumbing side for the 2nd time. The tech that showed up today was excellent and prompt but the price to reset a toilet that took under 25 minutes was exorbitant.Very disappointed that even with 10% discount it was so expensive. Get a price quote up front or better yet find a more reasonable service for your plumbing needs.

-6 degrees outside on a Friday morning and our furnace quit operating! I was really expecting a few days wait for service, but Midwest was here within 4 hours! TJ diagnosed and repaired quickly and we were up and running! Been using Midwest for about 15 years and and this has consistently been our experience with them. We trust their knowledge and work ethic.

AC would not come on when it got hot in early May 2022. Called Midwest as they had installed a new furnace in November 2021. They were here within 90 minutes, said a wire in the thermostat had become loose or broke during furnace installation, and fixed it. So far AC is working well!

I am a new customer and today was supposed to be my first maintenance service (June 11, 2021). We signed up for the air defense maintenance program about 4 or 5 weeks ago and scheduled service for today on our units. I stayed home to be present when the technician arrived for service. This morning, the day of service I get a call from the CSR telling me that I would have to reschedule as they did not properly load the work schedules vs. work demand. The CSR made me fell like my time was not valueable. Funny how they did not realize they could not handle the work before the day of the work, poor planning on thier side. Oh well, not a good first impression and I will move on to find another service provider.

Fast friendly and convenient service. They serviced my furnace when it quit blowing. Looked up warranty information and fixed it quickly. Service man also did a few checks on other items to ensure proper operation. Thank you Midwest!

I have used Midwest for several years. They performed the spring and fall service on my HVAC system. Never received a hard sell to upgrade my equipment, even though my furnaces and A/C units were ~20 years old. The time came to replace the units and Midwest provided a very fair price and was very helpful, providing information for me to evaluate their bid vs others. Units were out of stock, but I was provided with an estimated date for the installation (a few weeks). When the units came in, the installation was scheduled for a reasonable date thereafter. The technicians arrived on time as scheduled. They were very knowledgable, polite, and communicated well. They finished the job on time. Overall, a very good experience. I will continue to use them (10 year warranty) for annual service. I would recommend Midwest for HVAC service work or full installations of furnaces & A/C units.

Our old system but the dust and we had to pull the trigger on a new one a couple of days ago. After working with Greg and his install crew I feel as if I overthought this process. They were fantastic to work with and exceeded all of our expectations. The installation went smoothly, even though I knew our system would be complicated as we also use an outdoor wood boiler for our primary heat source. They were in and out in less than 8 hours and left their work area cleaner than they found it. I would highly recommend them to anyone that asked. In a world where customer service is DEAD, they renewed my faith in that founding principle.

I have yet to find a go-to HVAC business here in KC, unfortunately. I researched several companies and shopped around before replacing my 15-year old heat pump in 2009. Midwest was reasonably priced and sold name brand equipment (I bought a Lennox XP14 for my modest home), so I figured they had to be good at what they did and responsive with their customer service. BBB reviews checked out, too.

Nope. Three years later, my (3-year old) heat pump has purged its refrigerant. I pay $100 for a technician (Scott) to stop by and tell me there is a problem (I knew that) and he sounds skeptical that Lennox will even cover the repairs. Scott stopped by on a Tuesday and tells me that they will call Lennox and get back with me in a couple of days.

I make a follow-up call a WEEK later (since I never heard back from Scott) and their service guy (also Scott) tells me that ALL of the people at Lennox who make warranty decisions are at a conference and that all of Midwest's people who could speak with the Lennox people about repair/replacement are at this same conference. He's not sure when they will be able to tell me if it is covered under warranty. Six inches of snow is forecast for later this same week, mind you.

I ask for a confirmation of when they will be able to get back with me - it has already been a week! Scott says he's not sure. I asked how long the conference was and Scott hemmed and hawed and said the conference is this week, but he would never say if they would call back or when. I then asked if I called back next Monday if they'd know anything. He begrudgingly said they should, and that Midwest would be the one calling me back.

By the time I will have heard back from Midwest, it will have been almost two weeks. My furnace will still be non-functional.

I'm disappointed with both Lennox and Midwest. They don't seem to stand behind their equipment, and customer service after the sale is poor.

UPDATE: Almost three weeks later, the heat pump is repaired. After two frustrating follow-up calls to Midwest (they never returned a single call they said they would), and two calls to Lennox, my heating bills will be cut by about two-thirds, back to their normal levels. I could revise my rating up, but here are three reasons why I am not:

(1) Poor customer service. I should not have to make follow-up calls when you don't do what you say you are going to do. I put in a service request with another company because I didn't expect Midwest to come through, but which I had to cancel at the last minute. Honesty, follow-through, and common courtesy are what I expect, and what I experience 99.9% of the time. Not with Midwest.

(2) Over-billed. The agreed-upon charge over the phone was $100 with the same technician that serviced my heat pump the first time, with the understanding that Lennox would foot the rest of the bill. When he wrote the bill, it had jumped another $100. He charged me another $100 diagnostic fee. The problem hasn't changed in three weeks. He knew what the problem was when he arrived. Why ANOTHER $100 when we agreed over the phone what it would cost?

(3) Poor quality. Scott told me there is nothing I could have done differently, that sometimes things just fail. I paid extra because of the Lennox brand (there were less-costly options), knowing that they have a good reputation to maintain. I regularly inspect my heat pump, replace the filters, and keep moderate temperatures in my home to reduce the load on the unit. Three years into the unit's service life, I'm out $300 plus several hours of frustration, and an extra $400 total on my last three electric bills. Will this happen again in three years? Will the problem be worse, the bill higher, and not covered under the warranty?

Lennox doesn't stand behind their product enough to foot the bill for a problem that shouldn't have happened in the first place, and Midwest doesn't stand behind their products or workmanship, either.

Lennox and Midwest have lost my future business.

Bought my HVAC system from Midwest Heating and Cooling in 2016. Midwest Heating and Cooling has maintained it in peak working condition with their annual maintenance plan.

We have a service contract with Midwest Heating and Cooling and have for over 10 years. They come out twice a year and do preventative maintenance on our furnace and ac. This past Monday (Memorial Day), our AC stopped working. We called expecting to get someone out and were told that they were so busy that we would have to go on a wait list for Tuesday and that our service contract did not give us any privilege.

As of this morning (Wednesday), we had still not heard anything from them.

Fortunately, we were able to get ahold of a different company who was able to come out and fix our AC for less than the cost of our yearly service contract. When I called Midwest today to explain what happened, they were indifferent.

Needless to say, we will be cancelling our service contract and never using them again.

The tech who came out to service the humidifier attached to our furnace was on time, friendly and knowledgeable. Will be setting up a maintenance plan with them moving forward!

The technician was very professional and got quickly to work. He shared with me the issue with our AC and provided an estimate of the work needed. Quick fix but much needed and results were great. Will definitely use Midwest for future heating and cooling issues and maintenance.

It will be tough for me to even put into words how thankful my family is to have had Midwest Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing answer our call for help! We initially had called a competitor at 7:30am on Saturday morning, because our A/C had gone out at 1:30am that morning. The competitor did not show up to check the A/C until 9:00pm that night. They told me they could not do anything that night and it might take 3 - 5 days to get the part to fix our A/C. My family spent the night in a hotel Saturday night, because our house was unbearably hot. Sunday morning I called Midwest, and spoke with the answering service. Within 10 minutes of the call, T.J. called me back. He assured me he had the part, and assured me he would get me and my family taken care of the next day. Monday morning, sure enough, T.J. called just like he said he would, and he said he had the part and would have it installed that afternoon. We were thankful just to hear that, but within an hour and a half, T.J. called and said he was almost to our house. He came in and got right to work! He was quite, but professional. Very focused on the task at hand. He fixed everything like he had done the job a million times, and had our A/C up and running. The house began to cool, and I knew I could finally bring my family back home. My brother passed away in 2011, and my family had always called him T.J. My brother is gone, but this week T.J. from Midwest came to our rescue as our Guardian Angel. My family and I are so thankful to have had him answer our call for help!! Thank you T.J., and thank you Midwest!!!

Midwest does maintenance twice a year on 4 home AC Units in my house.They replaced a Solenoid valve connection improperly causing a small leak that I did not notice in the basement for months. The service man came by and fixed it in 5 minutes.
They are charging me for a service call . Said it was out of warranty. I went to management and they said it was out of warranty even though it was installed wrong. Charging me a 90$ service call.
I question the relationship and need to reevaluate.

We contacted Midwest Heating, Cooling & Plumbing after a family member suggested them. My husband's grandparents and parents both had Midwest install new units. Every person we came in contact with was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. They quoted us a great price along with a great warranty and informed us of helpful rebates that were available. Our concerns were addressed, questions answered and we had our installation appointment scheduled that day. Our poor installers worked through one of the hottest days of the year and kept us updated as to what was happening. The installation was complete during the hottest portion of the day but our new units had our home cooled before bedtime. We went to bed with peace of mind that our units would not continue to cost us big bucks on our utility bills or give out completely. Thanks Midwest!

We just had Midwest Heating Cooling & Plumbing replace our furnace replaced yesterday, and we couldn't be happier. They offered a fair price and got it all replaced ahead of the timeframe that they gave us.

Up front Greg Latshaw was very willing to explain what they were proposing to do and why he thought it should be done that way. I'm not a fan on being sold on a bunch of components or upgrades that can't be explained in the moment, and he never made me feel like that was his intent. In fact I came away more knowledgeable about how furnaces work and I greatly appreciated his insights and recommendations.

Had them come out as our furnace kept cycling on and off, they cleaned it, said it was fixed but issue persisted. They came back and saw a flame was fluttering so jumped to conclusions and said we had a cracked heat exchanger, need it replaced and would likely just need whole unit replaced. They said it was dangerous to operate, but didn't go as far as shutting down and labeling it as unsafe.

Called another company who brought out actual tools to diagnose the heat exchanger, and they discovered it was perfectly fine. The outside vent was placed on the house wrong (something Midwest inspected, but didn't realize)

From what the new company told us, this is a common scam when business is low (cracked heat exchanger). Not sure if that is the case here with Midwest or a lack of education / professionalism. We've used Midwest in the past but given this experience we will use the company who tackled the job the right way moving forward.

In the midst of the recent pandemic, and on a Sunday night, my furnace stopped. Monday morning, I called Midwest Heating and Cooling. They arranged for a service call between 9:00 and noon the same morning. The technician called when on his way, arrived exactly on time and effectively fixed my problem. This quality of service and professionalism is consistent with other times when I have called Midwest. The fact that it happened when their workforce was challenged by the pandemic made it all the more appreciated.

I arrived home on a Sunday afternoon where my thermostat read 90°. I called Midwest on Monday morning, and a tech arrived by 3 pm. He was very professional and knowledgeable. My A/C system was up in running within 30-40 minutes.

I had 2 guys who did an excellent job to install a gas line with minimal sheetrock holes in my finished basement and I threw in random extra work on the spot like changing the water main valve and outside water faucet and shut off valves while they had access and they did it on the spot quick and professional. Midwest replaced my 23 year old Lennox home HVAC system with a new, top of the line, high efficiency, Lennox system for a reasonable price. I was impressed with the fast, free, custom tailored, detailed estimate, the ability to have the new system installed within just a few days, and the speed and quality of the installation team.

The estimator (Tom) arrived just two hours after I called, was very personable, very knowledgeable, and helped me select the right components at the right price (with guidance about costs, efficiencies, energy savings, rebates and tax credits) to match my criteria. I liked that he had many years of experience, and he went above and beyond to make sure my new system (which replaced a broken system) was installed before an upcoming cold blast. I received two other estimates, and they did not go near as well, with a generic good, better, and best high priced estimate (without input from me) from one company, and another company selling only units from lower quality manufacturers.

The installation team started at 8:30 am, and went right to work. They also had many years of experience, and were ready for my walk-thru at 3:00 pm. They did a great job in a short time. Nice!

Above and beyond happy with the entire process. They had the best price for a Trane of 6 quotes and best terms. The estimate process was simple but well detailed. The price estimated was what we were billed. The scheduling was quick. The installers were on time and done an hour early. They didn't leave any trash and all fittings are sealed and put together exact. I honestly had no idea of what a great install looked like till they did ours. When it's time to do our ac they'll be my first call. Impressed!

The technician called ahead to let me know he was on the way. When he arrived he didn't waste any time getting to work on my furnace. I thought the igniter had failed but the first thing he did was check the inlet pipe. It was blocked by leaves & as soon as he cleaned it out the furnace worked as advertised. Install crew did a great job installing my furnace last winter when our prior furnace blew up in the coldest part of the year. They priced us fairly and got into our house within days. Unfortunately, the salesman told me that the first year of service would be free. That was not true - I ended up having to pay for a service plan after the fact to get someone out to service my HVAC in the spring. On top of that the spring service technician knocked off my outdoor temperature sensor on my heat pump, and rather than just plugging it back into the circuit board, he wanted to set up and bill me for a repair. I fixed it myself in 30 second. I doubt the repair would have cost much, but it just felt dishonest. Between the incorrect information on the service cost and that experience, it will make me second guess advice given in the future.

We purchased a new furnace/AC and water heater from Midwest. They hauled away all the old equipment, intalled the new equipment and left our basement cleaner than it was before. They were competent, knowledgeable and professional. We would recommend them to anyone. Just had a terrible experience with Midwest which is surprising considering they get great online reviews and they were recommended to me by a friend. When I called the service center to see if I could get an appointment for a service call the lady informed me that unless they had been to my address before they wouldn't be able to get here until tomorrow. I said OK, and then she recommended that I call someone else, like a national chain company. I kid you not, she literally told me to, Call AB May, or Neil Harris, or some other big chain company. When I said that I was calling a locally owned company because I didn't want to go through a national chain she said, OK, thanks. Bye and hung up.
She did not even ask if I wanted an appointment for tomorrow. Very disappointed in the awful customer service.
BTW, I didn't call a national company, I called another locally owned company and they are coming out later this morning.

I called Midwest Heating and Cooling after my a/c unit went out, as it came highly recommended by my realtor. They scheduled me quickly and the repair technician was thorough and took the time to answer my questions. The repair cost was affordable and I never felt that I was being pushed into costly/ unneeded services. I will definitely use this company again!

Incredible service knowing what there doing and the tech was super nice and super cool also very knowledgeable. Got me up and heated again after no heat for 2 weeks cause I wasted time calling other places.
They also didn't take 15 minutes poking my furnace and give a lame excuse I needed a new system like this homeherokc did trying to sell me a Mr. Cool hvac? No thanks.

Eric and Dallas came by on time and was very helpful in describing
our problem, we realized that my tub needed to be removed and it was more work than Midwest can do at this time. They were willing to replace new shut off valves in the other bathrooms and even put on a new bathroom countertop for me. As a women, I felt comfortable with them in the house and honest with their recommendations.

I couldn’t have had a better experience - from the staff when I called to the PROMPT (this is the only time in my memory that someone actually is there at the time they said they would be) and professional service, it was a great experience. Not that I hope to need them any time soon, but they will be who I call when I do.

Midwest Heating Cooling and Plumbing has always been our 'go to' company for our heating and A/C needs. They do great maintenance twice annually - very professional and engaging. Just recently our A/C suddenly stopped working on a very hot day. I called them and they were out at our house within about 90 minutes and quickly fixed the problem. Great service and response. I would highly recommend them.

I called this company on a saturday because my air conditioner quit working - the operator said someone would call me back so i waited ( in a 90 degree house ) and waited and waited - never got that call. Meanwhile I called a second company and they had the problem fixed in two hours. I do not recommend Midwest Heating and Cooling - they wont even call you back - I would give them 0 stars but had to give them 1 star so this would post

We called about our AC going out after hours. Tech called us at 9 to say he was in Kansas and wouldn't be able to come look at our unit (despite being promised 24 hour service). Tech told us to call in the morning to have them out first thing, then the person on the phone says they can't be out until MONDAY (4 days later)f because we aren't an existing customer.

That is not how this should have been handled. I could have called a different company last night and gotten this fixed already.

Showed up within the scheduled window. Resolved my 2 issues quickly and helped with some insight on how to better use our humidifier. Thank you!

Top notch service! Everyone from Mike during the sales and purchasing process to the entire install crew (Craig, Ronnie, and Ron) was amazing. Mike was patient, upfront, and honest during the sales process. The installers were very thorough and addressed all our concerns and questions. Prices were fair, everyone has stood behind their word, and I am excited to not have to dread calling the HVAC or plumbing company finally :).

Typically I am not a huge fan of salesmen, but the salesman Ken from Midwest Heating Cooling & Plumbing was great. He was super knowledgeable about their products and very thorough with everything. He was also great at following up with us which I thought was awesome.

They recommended a second system and were able to modify our existing system to make it work. Bob was our sales rep and knew exactly what needed to be done. Great experience! Got new AC, Furnace, & hot water heater installed in June. They came out in Dec as we were having issues with some settings. They made sure everything was running smoothly and adjusted settings.

Have used MWHC for PM's on our heat pump for 9 years..Recently, during our Fall PM we thought we might have to purchase a new system, however, Mike Epps in sales came out listened to our concerns and had another technician Tim stop by and check before we went any further. Turns out nothing to be concerned about and we are good to go. What an honest company, as they could have easily just sold another system, but didn't. They listened and responded in the most professional manner and because of that we remain a loyal customer.

I had Midwest Heating Cooling & Plumbing come out to service our furnace. The office let me know when the technician would be there and he actually arrived a little earlier. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He replaced the filter that had clogged and found that the capacitor on the blower fan was not working at optimum and suggested replacing it. He answered all of my questions without hesitation and had a very good working knowledge of our furnace (which is 20 years old). I will definitely hire them again.

I am now a customer for life. Tim Ryder and his team worked with me on short notice once our adult son indicated he would like to stay with us while recovering from a bone marrow transplant. Our son is starting with no immune system and virus free air is essential. We asked Tim about UV light systems and HEPA filters and he educated us so that we could make an informed decision. He scheduled his team to arrive for installation the morning after we scheduled our duct work to be cleaned. He wasn't trying to sell us anything. He just wanted to do the right thing. You know why? Tim provided the UV light systems at cost, no labor charges, and free HEPA filters. I wasn't asking for any special favors. He knew we had other more important issues to work through and he didn't want us to be overly concerned with costs. Our son arrived from the hospital just one day after the installation. Thank you Midwest Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing and a special thank you to Tim and his team. I am eternally grateful.

We’ve been customers since the late ‘90’s & have never had a single issue or complaint. All their folks in the office and in the field are terrific. Always on time, respectful & efficient. They take the time to explain the service or issue, then fix it right the first time. They are honest & have options for fixing the problem with reasonable pricing. I spoke with Midwest who came out for hvac and furnace replacement. I had a very nice sales person named Greg who was professional - and wrote out a clear estimate of all necessary issues and educated me on more issues I should be aware of. In the end he just couldn't beat two other companies but came close. Left a nice proessional message wishing me well. I believe this is an honest, professional company who will try to help you and tell you what they can and cannot do.

Our technician came out to repair our A/C unit early in the day (before the temperature soared), diagnosed the problem quickly, clearly explained the available options, and completed the repair we agreed on for a reasonable price. Within a couple of hours, our house had returned to a comfortable temperature, and we heaved a sigh of relief.

I have used Midwest for both HVAC installation and maintenance. They return calls and address questions and concerns promptly. Greg from Midwest has been taking care of the yearly maintenance on our HVAC system after it was installed 15 years ago.
