Kevin has been great. He's been on time, honest and a huge help during a move and preparing a house to be put on market. So far has been great at:
1. Replacing and restoring hardwood floors.
2. Patching and painting walls
3. Washing, bleaching and restoring a deck
3. Dismounting and remounting a custom bar shelf.
4. Shaving glass down for above mentioned shelf.
5. And other things I'm sure I'm forgetting.
I'm looking forward to trying to find a project he might not been able to handle.

Had 2 toilets repaired. A new door lock put on back door and a stair rail re-installed. All went smoothly. The tech, James showed up on time, explained all in detail and gave me tips on how to buy light fixtures for a future job. I would recommend and use again.

Andrew was the handyman who did our work. He was professional, worked quickly, and was very friendly. The work looks great. I hired their services to hang a chandelier light. I was told of an hourly fee and increments of 30min charges, I accepted. There were two guys so $100 each for them. They arrived at 2pm and were done at 315pm and not to mention 15 minutes was used to show them other possible jobs such as painting a room, replacing a toilet and shower handle fixture. Anyhow the guys troubleshooted the chandelier wiring for good 45 minutes figuring out a solution. When it was time to hang it, they asked for my assistance and I obliged, no problem. Myself and one guy held the chandelier for 5-7minutes while Loren fixed the wiring. So the heavy lifting lasted only 5 min or so. All said and done they charged me $350 for 1.20 hours!! I brought it up, and Loren said well technically we were working even when discussing the other jobs?? And nobody told me about a service fee of $50 on top which Roberta the secretary on the phone apologized for as well. Mathematically the time doesn't add up to $350 and I didn't want to argue about it. Figured they would refund $100 but they changed their story on this. I have Ring door time confirming their time in and out as well. Never will use them again or refer to colleagues/friends.

Great company with reliable professionals. I had Chris repair a porch post with water damage and he did a phenomenal job with high quality craftmanship. I was concerned you would be able to tell a repair was made to the one post, but Chris' work was so good you can't tell any repair was ever made.

Ace Handyman Services Kansas City did a fantastic job on replacing the ceiling vent fan in our main bathroom. From my very first contact with the company all the way through to job completion and payment, everything went extremely well.

During the job some minor technical glitches occurred. None of these technical glitches were the fault of the craftsmen. In each case all along the way, I was consulted on status and options for successful resolutions.

I had no experience at all. Someone came over on a Wednesday to get a better idea of what I wanted done. I needed about 350 square feet of LVP put in, six lower cabinets installed, repair work on the garage, and some flashing on my porch roof. He took some measurements, made some notes, and said I will get you a quote, probably Monday.

It is now Saturday, and I have not heard one word from anyone. Even an email to say thanks, but no thanks, would have been nice. I guess my project wasn't going to be a good money maker, so they decided to move on. 🤷

I have definitely moved on and found someone who will do the work.

Very happy with the work done by ACE Handyman. Demolished the deck in less time than expected. Was even able to remove all the concrete and dispose of it. Very professional and knowledgeable. Goes the extra mile for their customers. Will definitely use them again. Highly recommended.

We used their services to repair dry rot on our siding. Loren came out for the estimate and was very friendly and knowledgeable. The estimate ended up a little higher than we were expecting because our house is old and those same materials were not still available. After discussing with his employee, Jeff, they came up with a different method to fix which would use less material and take less time. The new estimate they provided was much better. Jeff was able to complete the job in less time and looked great. Ended up costing $200 less than estimate. Would highly recommend and will be using them in the future!

Steve showed up in time and assessed the situation. He then told me his rough guess as to how much time he needed - and told me it was conservative - but he wanted to be safe. He then went and got the parts he needed - less than $30 - and returned and got the job done in a timely fashion. He was genuinely concerned about saving me money along the way - which I appreciated. He cleaned the work area up when he was done and you wouldn’t know he was there. Very pleased - and I now believe I finally have a reliable, trustworthy place to turn when I have projects that are above my level of handiness! I appreciate the job well done!

I called Handyman matters on a Monday morning requesting help with some unfinished work from a previous contractor. Harry was at my house within an hour. Harry was friendly, he worked efficiently, and the end result was exactly what I asked for. His work was of high quality and I will definitely use Handyman matters again for my next project.

Andrew, installed two bathroom floating wall shelves, remounted a bathroom wall cabinet, installed a towel rack and upgraded a light switch. He finished all tasks within the allowed/scheduled timeframe. Andrew did a great job! We will definitely request him for future jobs.

All I can say is wow!!!! Tim did an outstanding job! Needed 3 tasks plumbing electrical and some gutter work. He went above and beyond, installed an outlet box and hung a fan, and fixed some. I paid a buddy with a 6 pack to fix my sink perfectly. Cleaned up after and left my daughter's room spotless. Great work I think I found a new handyman!!!!

Their rating is really deserved. They were very responsive, on time and did really impressive work. I don't see myself using any other contractor services other than them. I have had horrible luck with other contractors and these guys were a breath of fresh air. Their prices were outstanding as well.

i bought a house from the dude who runs this business and let me tell you that his work is some of the most shoddy work i've ever seen. also, he will bill for things that he didn't do. we found his house having been completely gutted and refinished by him. we bid on the house because the marked was stupid. we found out that all the work he had done on the house was an amateurish job with bad materials and poor workmanship. when we were in the buying process we asked for some work to be done to the house, so he billed it to his company and didn't do the work; which is fraud. we have incurred damage to the house because of his plumbing work. so much of his work was either obviously not up to code or so poorly done that it was evident to the realtor. i would not hire this dude to cut my grass.

We used them to repair our neighbors wooden fence, which was destroyed by our tree during a storm. He showed up on time, and did a great job. The fence has dog ear pickets with a scalloped top. Turned out great - our neighbors love the results. I took a chance with a company I had never heard of, I was impressed! I will be calling them to do more work in the future.

I hired Ace Handyman Service to replace my doorstop. While setting everything up was easy, the install didn't go as planned. Yesterday the contractor came out for the install. I paid what was agreed upon, an hours worth of work for $160. Steve delivered a third of the doorstop. When asked if he was replacing the entire doorstop he told me that he hadn't brought enough material. He left the old nail-ridden doorstop on my front porch, in cutting his materials he used the exterior of my house. My house is nearly 100 years old with the original woodwork, Steve thought it would be appropriate to drive screws in the trim instead of finishing nails. To top it off as he was leaving, he suggested I buy a new sexy door and told me how much he would charge to install it. Offended I wrote to the company offering them the chance to make things right; at least offer an apology for the off hand remark. The contractor did call however he was not remorseful, he kept saying it was a misunderstanding. I asked for the work in writing, you didn't deliver.

I had several small jobs and Ace was great to work with. They were responsive, professional and reasonably priced. Mario, my handy man, did a great job on everything and clearly knows what he’s doing. I will use them again and refer to all my friends.

We had Andrew install 2 shower grab bars in my mother’s bathroom. He was very polite, professional and tidy! The work was finished quickly and was exactly what we needed.

Mark was 1 1/2 hours late. Not much of a problem but annoying. He did great once he was here and got everything done. I would hire him again.

Kevin repaired some dry wall, painted, installed new door, retiled a shower, and installed vinyl plank flooring. He was always on time, offered more than one solution to fix our issues, and cleaned up afterwards. We would definitely hire ACE Handyman again!

I found Ace Handyman Svc through Angi and I requested an estimate for a slider door install. Someone came out to look at the job and stated it would take a week to receive the estimate. I asked if the job was too big for them and I was told no. I never heard back from them. If I could give zero stars I would.

Our deck was a mess. We started as a diy, ran out of steam and needed help. Initially we tried to go with a less expensive solution. BIG mistake! Andrew fixed everything that the previous service had done wrong and finished what remained undone. Plus he worked with us to understand and match our aesthetic. Highly recommend 🙂

I'm giving this company a rating of 5-stars because the handyman that was sent out was absolutely phenomenal. Adam assessed the situation and completed our job in an hour flat, which was not an easy task. He had to set up scaffolding to install a light fixture on a 20ft+ ceiling. And he did a great, quick job. We will 100% use this company again and be asking for Adam. NOW the 1 drawback to hiring this company is that you have to schedule on the phone and it is a bad experience. The guy on the phone felt he needed to give me a 15 minute sales pitch and tell me I was wrong about the height of the ceiling (yes, I do know how high my ceiling is and yes, it's a good thing the handyman brought scaffolding). It's really like the guy wasn't listening at all, not great service. BUT Adam was phenomenal and I'm glad we stuck it out because the handyman service was actually worth it.

I was in a bit of a pinch & needed a handyman to fix the garbage disposal at my rental property. The service itself was good. The issue started when I received the invoice & saw I was being aggressively overcharged & charged for made up fees. I attached the actual invoice below.

1. Labor - $115 an hour is already an excessive price for a handyman, but I needed the work done quickly. I called my tenant who was home when the garbage disposal was fixed & he told me it took about 40 minutes to fix. Ace charged me for 1.75 hours! The general manager said I was charged the extra time because the handyman had to go shopping for the part. Shopping is not a skilled labor! This is extremely unethical to charge as labor. Not to mention Home Depot & Lowes are both within 1 mile of my home.

2. Service fee - $60 Handymen normally charge a service fee to come out & quote a job. If you end up not using them, they charge you the service fee. This scam of a company tried to double dip & charge me for the service fee too.

3. Truck stock - $10 I was never given an explanation of this fee. Another fee Ace uses to steal from their customers.

4.Materials - $161 (40% markup) This was the nail in the coffin for me, and confirmed that Ace is nothing but a scam. I asked the general manager for a copy of the receipt. He refused to provide me a copy of the receipt! He finally admitted that they charge a 40% markup on all materials! When I made the appointment nobody informed me of this excessive markup on all parts. A 40% markup on materials isn’t the industry average, it’s out right fraud!

I would not recommend anyone using this scam of a company, and will never use them again!

Nebraska furniture mart used this service due to their delivery guys at NFM scratching my trim by not removing the frig doors. The manager told the handyman it was a dry wall job and it absolutely was not. He arrived and was puzzled to find my trim needed fixing. Also, he was given the wrong street name. Our handyman Chris provided excellent service and luckily had the materials to fix the trim. Thank you Chris for the excellent and professional service. Steve was on time and very professional. Our front door was no longer closing due to house settlement and he shimmed and adjusted the door so that it fit again. He also replaced door handle and deadbolt to get the door back to original shape again and all in less time than originally estimated. Highly recommend their services.

It initially started off well. They had my wife text some pics of the house and what we needed done. They texted back a reasonable quote. We never received a professional email quote, only a text, but we trusted them. They never came in person to look at the house and see exactly what needed done except for one the start date. Within a few minutes the quote was raised $500. My wife trusting them, just went with it. By the time the work was done, it went up another $200 due to them saying they worked over. So not only did they get us for $700 more than the quote, they didn't even do everything that should have been in with the quote. When we asked about the rest of the work, they proceeded to say it would be almost $400 more because they would need to come back out and they hadn't even picked up the product they needed for the job. I feel my wife got taken advantage of because they new she wasn't understanding their shop talk. We never did get an official quote, only the text quote, so I think they new they had us. We should have fought harder but we were ready to be done. If you use these guys, make sure you get an official email quote of everything they're doing and make sure they stick to it. Learned our lesson the hard way. We were on a budget and now have to wait to get the other work done.

Ace Handman Services transformed my house from dark and depressing to light and bright. James was very professional and took his time to make sure things were done right.

Andrew installed a door. From Acehandyman. He left it worse off than what we had. Didn't weatherproof it at all. Not plum, flush, level or square. Feel air coming in everywhere. He cut a hole in my wall, split my new door. Put another whole in my wall. Left the outside of my house open for any kind of weather or rodents and pests to get in under my subfloor to destroy not only my door, also my house and for pests and rodents to make their way to the rest of my house as they plz. Paid 1500.00 for doors and materials. Just to have destroyed and cause more of a problem then there was originally. Never would I use them or recommend. They need to rectify this come up with a solution quickly. As the cold and wet and warm weather here in Missouri is always changing. Cold is going to roll in with moisture a well, not good for your home to be properly sealed and weatherproofed. My home is now exposed to it all and whatever creatures decide to hibernate. These are just a few of the photos. Much much worse. Also have alot more. Along with video.

Chris helped me switch out laminate countertops - same exact style, but different color. He was on time, and even called me the night before to discuss details. I had all the materials already on site, so we were able to get right to work. Chris was phenomenal! He demo'd the old countertops neat as a pin, and cut and installed the new ones in no time! I was so pleased with his workmanship and calm, patient attitude. This was my first experience with Handyman Matters, and I couldn't be happier!

We hired Handyman Matters to have someone come out and help level and anchor our washing machine which had a tendency to go for a walk when washing our clothes. Chris showed up on time despite foul weather and poor traffic conditions and finished in a timely manner, cleaned up after himself and was extremely pleasant. I’m happy to report that the washing machine seems firmly anchored in place and I can’t wait to tackle the mounds of laundry ahead. Thank you so much for being there.

Installed new door handle on back storm door.

Very polite and professional. But he was slow. All he had to do was install brackets to hang curtains... I recounted there were three windows on first level and 4 on the second. Plus assembled a platform bed. Again polite and professional. Now I need picture hung... He ran out of time...
Down below you will see the owner ask me to call. So I did. He ask me if I needed anything else done. I said No. However a new handyman service did 10 windows. Again just brackets. Just Brackets in a little under 2 hours on Saturday. Can you help with anything else. No thank you.

Very pleased with my recent deck work. It needed several rotted boards replaced and stairs replaced before it could be cleaned and stained. I was glad to find someone to do both the repairs and staining. Good communication, prompt service. Mike Sheets did a great job.

I have engaged the services of Handyman Matters on both sides of the state line, and I can state with absolute honesty that they have never failed to deliver a superior job. This time I hired them to replace some siding on my house, and Loren and Tim did an OUTSTANDING job! The work was extremely professional, and they completed it all in a single day. What especially impressed me was how clean and tidy the work site was after their departure; everything was all nicely bagged up and all I had to do was to put it in my garbage! When you have an old slider that needs new parts but don't want to have to replace the entire door, I like to know there is a work around. Thinking outside the box is a great skill to have. He wasn't slow, nor did he zip thru the work like he was in a hurry to get out of there. Working with Ace to set up a time and their ability to show up in a few days (emphasis on showing up) was a miracle based on my prior experiences with trying to find a handy man. I will recommend and use them again.

We understand there were issues with the replacement and installation. However, the amount charged was too high. We had 3 fans installed costing us over $1,000. One fan was installed and didn’t work. We paid for that installation and removal. We purchased a different fan and they installed it. Everything was all set up to install the replacement. The rate is $115 per hour. We still got charged an additional $213.75 which included another service charge $70. Everyone was polite and professional.

My wife and I were right in the middle of a flooring installation with the install being handled by a different install team other than Ace Handyman Services. One day one of our floor install, the floor install team found that they would be unable to install the vinyl plank floor we had purchased in our master bedroom due to a hump that was in the subfloor caused by a crown in the floor joists. Due to the nature of the contracted services with the floor install team, they could not fix the issue since it was structural in nature. The floor install team moved on with the rest of the install that was slated for three days.

I immediately started calling handyman/general carpentry providers in hopes of finding someone who could potentially fix the problem before the floor installers had to leave on the third day. After speaking with three other contractors that could not get anyone out to even inspect the scope of the project for a couple of days, I spoke with Loren at the servicing Ace Handyman branch in the Kansas City area. He was able to get a craftsman, Steve, out to our home that afternoon to inspect the scope of the work.

Steve arrived on time for the inspection appointment. With his knowledge and experience, Steve was able to conclude that he would be able to handle the job by removing a section of the old subfloor and using a power plane to level out the crowns in the two offending floor joists. As luck would have it, he had an appointment cancellation for the next day and said he would be able to come back out the next day to complete the job. Steve provided us with a list of necessary materials for the job that he said he could go get or we could get ourselves to save a bit of money on the job.

The day the work was scheduled to be done, Steve arrived at the house on time and got right to work. He was able to complete the work 30 minutes faster than promised. His work was of excellent quality and he worked with us the whole time to try to find ways to save money on the job. Most importantly, Steve and Loren's teamwork allowed us to get the subfloor to where we could install the flooring we wanted while the floor install team was still working at the house.

Steve and Loren were courteous, detail oriented, attentive, on time for the service appointments, and completed the scope of the work on time and under the estimated cost.
