Peter from Ron the Sewer Rat just came over and fixed my sink backup very quickly! He was professional, courteous, and educated me on how it all works which I found very helpful. The cost was much less than I expected which was an added bonus.

They were great! From when I called to when they came, it was about 45 min! They made it a priority to squeeze me in between a very busy day due to a last minute cancellation. Very responsive, understanding and considerate. Trent came and was pleasant and efficient. Recommend them - a great local option and price appropriately.

Nick was courteous and knowledgable and persistent with clearing out our main sewer line. He also made a point to clean up well when he was finished. The communication of who was coming out to the house and when with a text and email including a photo of Nick was very appreciated. Highly recommend.

I called first thing this am and had a scheduled appointment between 12-4, the technician was here before 1 and it was a cleaned drain before 3. He noticed a plumbing problem and had an appointment with the plumber before he left. Great service.

Had some water back up in both basements of a duplex I recently purchased in Nov. of ‘19 around 9:30 pm. Naturally, I was very frustrated and anxious of the potential problems due to the fact that I had it scoped during due diligence prior to close. Another company had said everything looked great less than 6 months prior, so was worried that tree roots or worse had damaged something during winter or spring thaw.Gave Ron a call around noon the following day and they had a technician, Frank F., out to my property before 2:30pm. Frank was very courteous and professional, even asking if I preferred he take his shoes off before entering my home.Frank informed me after opening my main that there was indeed a back up, and the cause was luckily just some gnarly buildup due to our pipes being cast iron. He was able to clear the obstruction and even put a nice new brass cap on my main access for me. All of this was completed before 4pm with zero mess or sign he had been there aside from the new cap.Not only was the service prompt and professional, but the pricing was extremely fair, much less than I was expecting in all honesty. Let’s also not forget the peace of mind!Thank you Frank, and Ron the Sewer Rat for a job well done!

I am VERY happy with the price and quality of service. Did a fairly large job (replaced a large section of broken metal pipe including several joints) well, quickly, and for way less than others were asking. Also were very pleasant and courteous and made me feel comfortable having them in my home for much of a day. Highly recommend.

Our toilet was leaking from the bottom. Emanuel arrived and said it was likely the wax ring. But he first made sure it wasn't something else like the cutoff valve leaking. He fixed the ring in about an hour.Then we had him deal with an outside faucet. I was thinking I could repair it and I asked him what he thought. He told me I probably could and we discussed the pros and cons. In the end, I decided to have him completely replace the faucet. Works great. Really appreciated the clear communication.

Due to a cancellation I was able to get same day service for standing water in my basement laundry room. My tech (Trent) had some serious main line sludge to get through, but get through it he did. He also cleaned up afterwards and showed me where the back ups were and what he did to get through it. It's a relief to know I can once again do laundry! I will definitely call on your company again and recommend to others.

6 stars if I could! - We have had Tim K. out to our house twice now for two totally different plumbing issues - both times have been a breath of fresh air. The great experience started with requesting service online, they were super responsive, helpful, use good payment/scheduling technology, reasonable pricing, got us on the schedule right away, and showed up on time --- this is the way it should be!. Tim is the man, super friendly, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain everything, even makes useful recommendations along the way. 9.29.20 review: Great service again today to clear kitchen clog. The technician Kyle showed up wearing a mask and was able to diagnose and fix the clog within the hour allotted. He also brought a leaking toilet to my attention and adjusted the water level in the toilet to see if that would stop the dripping. I may need to replace the wax seal on the toilet but that's easy. He was respectful of my time and my property and I appreciate that the company sends a photo first of who is arriving and they use a truck with their name and logo so we know it is who they say they are. I will definitely use this company again for my plumbing needs and highly recommend their services. They are fair, efficient, and honest.2019 review: Great service! We have used Ron;s company in the past and have always been satisfied with them. The workers were friendly and explained what they did to resolve the job. The rate was reasonable, $148.00 for an hour unplugging a sink and stopping a leak. I would recommend them anytime.

I am purchasing a house built in 1948 and wanted the sewer line scoped for potential hazards quickly. I filled out a request on Sunday and even with the Monday holiday, I was contacted for my appointment. Communication throughout was great, I knew who was coming and when. John came out to discuss a potential job associated with structural remodeling of our upstairs bathroom. He immediately told me that he/his company could not do the work because of scheduling issues that would prevent the company from providing the excellent service they promise to customers.I asked him to look at the plan and the existing structure, and to discuss the plumbing aspects of the work to come. That discussion and his advice were well worth the $99 service charge. I'm only sorry that he/they could not contract for the job.

We've had a semi-blocked kitchen drain for a long time, and it finally backed up enough to cause dripping under the sink and on the floor. Andy L did a fantastic job of fixing it this morning. He arrived early after confirming that it was OK with us and finished the job in less than an hour. He reamed out the the pipe, which extended into the basement floor, tested the water-flow several times, and cleaned up the area. He took the time to explain to me what the problem was and sent an email with notes on what he had done.

Great Experience, arrived right as scheduled. We received two confirmations ahead of time. Our Tech was great, explained everything and showed us the issues.. glad we had them out. they are the only choice we need to make in the future

These guys are fantastic! They spent about 12 hours straight on my sewer main, some of the worst tree roots ever seen in the twin cities. Definitely a dedicated bunch, and incredibly fair pricing. I've spread their name to all my friends/family, and will always use them from now on. By far the best around!

Technician came, cleared clog in our waste line, but his snake got jammed up. Another technician came and they worked for several hours to get it free. Time to settle up: they charged me for the waste line *and nothing else*. I offered to split it with them, nope. Wow. You don’t see that anywhere any more. I’m hugely impressed.

Zach was wonderful, professional and great at explaining everything to me as he was inspecting our sewer. We called them to get a second opinion after Roto Rooter told us we had to rip out our retaining wall and whole front yard to replace a joint they couldn't get their camera past. Zach cleaned out the whole sewer line no problem and told us the pipe is completely fine. Saved us $15,000 and a whole lot of pain. This is our go to company from here on out!

I called on a Friday afternoon, looking for someone to help with my clogged kitchen drain. The person I spoke with was friendly and scheduled an appointment for the next Monday. Best plumbing business in town! I had a seriously clogged main line sewer that was causing backups in my floor drain. After having a different company come over and scaring me with having to dig up my yard without actually diagnosing the problem, the technician at Ron's was able to reason through the situation and get a plan of attack to clear the line. He went on to say it was one of the worst hes ever seen, but he was able to clear it and everything is working now. Recommend this business to anyone. No gimmicks, no sales just hard work to get the job done.

We live in am association and our problem involved several units, so he wrote up an invoice/summary that we could submit to our association to help cover the costs of the repair. He cleaned up much of the mess caused by the clogged main line, which was unnecessary, but incredibly helpful. He was friendly and personable. Filled out a request online and someone called me right away to confirm. Technician was scheduled, called before showing up to confirm and was on time. Loved that they emailed me a photo of the technician and a little history about him. Zach quickly diagnosed the problem. Cleaned out the sewer line then identified that one basement drain still wasn't draining all the way. He brought down a different piece of equipment and cleared out that drain. Provided me with some tips to keep in clean in the future and ran all the basement water at the same time to confirm everything was draining correctly. Super happy with the service and the price. The work was transparent on the invoice and he explained what was done in great detail. It is always joyful to know you don’t need to worry about having a great partner in your back pocket!

I almost never do online reviews but this place really stands out so I'll add to the chorus of over 2,700 reviews. These guys were great. Scheduling was simple. They get your info and the computer texts you when they're on their way. Came right in the middle of the time window, cleared a toilet clog in just a few minutes, and double checked for leaks. Friendly, professional, and quick. Very satisfied.

Frank and Mike responded quickly and troubleshot the issue that our business was having with our sewer. When the cause of the trouble wasn't apparent, they stuck with it and fixed the issue. I use this company for my home sewer issues and for our companies three buildings. They are quick, dependable and trustworthy. I appreciate their efforts.

Twice in the last year, my home has needed somewhat immediate plumbing attention. I called RTSR both times, at the recommendation of my realtor. Both times they availed themselves almost immediately. For today’s visit, Frank showed up slightly ahead of my wait window, completed the work thoroughly and efficiently, and was very detailed in explaining what needed to be done, the degree to which we can act to prevent future issues, etc. Spending money on plumbing work is zero fun, especially when unexpected. Receiving this level of service makes the expenditure feel “worth it.” It also leaves me highly confident in what was done. They will continue being my first call when our house needs a plumber.

Awesome....and I mean it. I had a rooted up main that had me not using water in my house for a couple of days. Unfortunately, I had tried a different company out of St. Paul first. The first company took two hours, went 35 feet in, claimed they were stuck, and either kept pushing me to overtime (after 5pm) hourly or wanted to up-sell me to jetting...On top of that they left a mess on my floor and wall and then had me waiting for two days and counting for that service. I got frustrated and called Ron the Sewer Rat and asked for a second opinion. They assured me that if it was just roots and not a broken/collapsed main, that they would be through it in less than an hour. They did not lie. Mike came and he had pushed/cut through 75 feet (well into the city's sewer) in about 15 minutes: so I don't know what the other guy's problem was. He backed it out, ran it again with a larger double auger, ran a camera down in it so I could see - and was cleaned up within an hour. My main now looks cleaner than my colon. All this while educating me in the process. He was so capable and efficient, I had him clean out a secondary drain line as well. Very much appreciated every part of my experience, and will not hesitate to recommend in the future. Well done.EDIT - Had them out 2 years later for the same thing. Pesky roots again making their way between the seams in my main. Called and they were out here within 24 hours and operated as professionally and efficiently as I could have hoped for. Devin was awesome - knew his machine and its limits. Will have them out in another year to maintain.Done shopping around for issues like this - I've found my people here.

Very punctual, excellent appointment system they use, same day service, friendly and knowledgeable technician, left no mess, clean work, no stalling or lagging so I feel what I was charged was inexpensive. I called 5 other places, none of which offered same day service, maybe I was lucky, maybe these guys are just that ton top of their game.Highly recommended!

We needed some tree roots cleaned out of our sewer line after a house inspector videorecorded them. I was able to schedule online for a few days later. Tim arrived during the scheduled window of time. He was very personal, competent, and helpful. Cost was same as listed online. No surprises, no extras. Pleasant experience overall.

Used them for a sewer pipe inspection prior to a home purchase on the recommendation of my boss. Cost about $125 to check to see if the home needed a $12000 repair. They were prompt, courteous, and the even managed to convey a certain subdued joie de vie in the process.One (very) minor gripe - they shared my sewer pipe inspection video with me by putting it on youtube and sharing the link. Im a stickler about consumer privacy stuff, but even i cant say i minded. Maybe they should start giving people a heads up? idk. Total side note, it would make a pretty fun plot point on some sort of murder mystery show if a youtube video of a sewer inspection found a human foot or something, wouldnt it?

Tim from Ron the sewer rat was a excellent technician! He was very good with explaining everything in detail and was efficient and timely with the unclogging of my kitchen drain! My only wish is that we would have called sooner as my husband pretty much hurt himself trying to fix it himself. The price point is more than fair too!

Tim and Mike from Ron's were at my house today and they were fabulous! In January I had had a different company here to try and fix our sewer problem. However it really was not fixed. Toilets began backing up again. Today Tim and Mike were like detectives trying to figure out what was going on with our somewhat complication system. They spent time getting it figured out and then fixed the problem. They were diligent, hard-working, polite, responsive to my questions and knowledgeable. I give them the highest recommendation. They even help me shovel the driveway so they could put their truck there. They were great!

Jeff is the greatest! This is the second time he has been to our house and and we couldn't be happier. He figured out right away it was not what we thought is was and went to work and cleaned out our main sewer line. It was tree roots. He fixed it and told us to do a check up every couple of years to prevent future problems. Ron The Sewer Rat is also very reasonable in pricing. Our basement toilet backed up and black water came out of the jacuzzi tub. I made an appointment on Wednesday night through their website. Within the hour, someone from the company called. Because the toilet was in the basement, they wanted to address it as soon as possible. They squeezed me in and Jordan came first thing in the morning. He also called first to let us know he was on the way. Jordan was professional and knowledgeable. He walked through the process of what he was going to do and assured us each step of the way. When he finished, he showed us what he did. He cleaned up after himself and even washed off all the black water stuff in the jacuzzi. Gervé did an excellent and quick job of diagnosis and determined that our water leak was due to a clogged drain, but more importantly that a corroded threaded tee connection upstream of the clog was were the leak was coming from. While at our house he took pictures and shared electronically with a plumbing colleague the issue who confirmed Gervé’s assessment was correct. We now have a service call scheduled with the plumber to replace the corroded tee with a new wye connection. Once the tee connection is fixed we will definitely have Gervé back to do the drain clean out!!

We had an emergency and they were able to come within 45 minutes. Jeff was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

Jacob was on time (early!), very professional, wore PPE while in the house due to COVID, and was able to clean out our very tree root clogged pipes in an hour for only $198. Great customer service l. Multiple notices that the serviceman was scheduled to come at a specific time and notice when he was on his way. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. We had them out to clean our mainline and our kitchen sink. The process from start to finish was exemplary. A few minutes before the technician arrived, I received a text with his picture and a short bio (very nice touch). During the walk thru, it became apparent that our basement stairs were too tight to fit the snake tool so the technician immediately called his dispatcher and they swapped another guy out who had a modular tool in his truck. Very good communication and flexibility; workmanship was top notch.

Totally recommend this company. We needed a sewer cleaning quickly to be able to get a look at the sewer lines before closing on a house. They sent out a technician within 2 hours of our call and were able to complete the service, show us that there wasn't anything of concern in the lines. I've had my home's sewer pipe cleaned out by these kind of people since 2009 and each person that's come over to my house to do this has done an amazing job. Explained everything that they're doing to me in an easy and relaxed manner. Given me examples of what's going on if I asked for it helped with cleaning out the old shower drain in the basement. Trent was our tech. I’m a realtor and have had many sewers videoed this year. What I appreciated was Trent called the buyer directly to answer any questions then also called me, the buyers agent, to go over everything. He did this from in front of the property and even made a second trip in the house to answer a question of mine. Plus the scheduler spoke to my buyer many times, even on Sunday, to get it scheduled. I know from experience many other sewer inspection companies don’t have this level of service.

Our contractor used this plumbing service for our full kitchen remodel. We had some old black piping replaced, a new sink installed, faucet, garbage disposal, RO filter system, and dish washer. Even though the contractor purchased an RO system that was not compatible with our faucet, John used his expertise to modify the system and make it work. He was also able to swap in a different sink ring that I had purchased previously to match the faucets. Very easy to talk to, extremely professional, and top notch quality service. I have a future project in mind and this will be my first call.

Kyle was awesome and came out to a home pre sale but had issues getting the camera to go towards the sewer main. Expecting a visit charge I was pleasantly surprised when they zeroed out the bill. I had another sewer access line installed and he came back out to verify a clean bill of health on our 105 year old home. He made honestly recommendations about future cleaning and didn't push anything. 10/10 would reccomend!

I've worked with these guys a few times and had clients who have as well and they are awesome every single time, if anyone asks they are the only one's I recommend. This particular time, Nick came out first thing in the morning, we talked about what I expected he'd find, he got set up and took a look at the problem with the camera to confirm and then go to work clearing the line. Great experience with technician Jon J. Our main drain in the basement floor was backed up, and he got it cleared pronto. He left the site cleaner than he found it and was extremely professional throughout. He also kindly accommodated my request to wear a specific type of mask and was very respectful of my COVID safety concerns. The service was reasonably priced, he did not push me to purchase any unnecessary service or materials, and the service gave me great peace of mind for the future. I've been using Ron the Sewer Rat since I purchased my home and I will never use another company. Our main line started backing up over the weekend. They were booked out a couple of days and I could have gone with another company but decided to head to the lake and wait it out. I'm so glad that we did because Tim did a phenomenal job. Clogged bathroom sink. Jeff cleared it out quickly, was very knowledgeable, and did a through inspection before starting any work.

Service was excellent. Plumber cleared a 2nd floor bathtub drain pipe that was unused for two years and so clogged that previous snaking from the tub down and from the basement up were unsuccessful. So professional and thorough that I know who to call for any plumbing needs now.

I've had these guys come out for a decade now to clear the tree roots out of our old clay lines. I've had a couple other companies do it, but they are never as thorough, always try to sell a $10k sewer liner, and are always more expensive. Nick came out on a Saturday and got my line up and running in no time. I had a back-up into my utility sink that wouldn't clear and he also cut out and replaced the old rusting galvanized sink trap with PVC. If you want it done right, not overpay, and not listen to a sales pitch, this is the company to call. Word of mouth is the reason you see these trucks everywhere.

Frank was very helpful in answering all my questions. He freed up the ball (back flow preventer) that was stuck and he showed us how to do this if it gets stuck again. Great service. Devin sent us a text when he was on his way, and showed up shortly thereafter. He walked me through the process of inspecting and then cleaning out my sewer line. Show me what he was doing, and explained the video to me, and explained what the possible options would be for mitigation if needed. Very clean service, laid down a cloth runner over the carpet where he was carrying things in and out and used a towel under the working space. Working with sewers is messy but Devin did such a good job you never know he was there.

10/10 would recommend! I called at 8:30 am on a Saturday with a non-urgent kitchen drain clog. I was hopeful they would be able to come on a weekend since my husband and I both work outside the home M-F. The scheduling tech was friendly and professional and said someone could come between 10:00-2:00p, and that they would call me. Around 9:30 I got a call that Kyle was finishing up and would be over in 20 minutes. By 11:00, he had fixed our problem, cleaned up, and left. It was the quickest, most efficient service! I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again (although I’ll be trying to prevent another clog using the tips he gave me!)

Holy Cow! Trent (aka the man) just saved us $7,000! We were told by another company that they'd need to dig up our front yard to clear our drain to the sewer, but I hired RTSR as a last resort. I called at 2:00pm and they scrambled to find a way to get a service rep here on New Year's Eve. An hour later Trent had it cleared. He was super nice and professional. He earned himself a nice tip! Had a blockage somewhere between the laundry tub and floor drain at my moms.Was able to schedule an appointment the next day. The tech arrived and found the sink drain to the floor was blocked. Having trouble getting the snake to clear it he contacted his boss, it is an old house, I believe the owner who talked him throw options to try.What should have been a simple job became a bigger issue. Once the sink drain was cleared we had him move onto cleaning the sewer line. It was extremely clogged with roots and his Snake got stuck. His boss, owner(Mark) came to help him and finally got it cleared out. He stayed with his tech the rest of the job which was very impressive to me.I have already recommended them to someone who does not even know of a problem.Very professional, very Courteous and and even left the area cleaner then before they arrived.

Have been using them for 20+ years now. Not every year, thank god, but every time we've had a situation, it was Ron's who got the call. They're consistently helpful and effective. Latest job involved cleaning tree roots from a sewer line. All three RSR guys who came out over two days -- Trent, Frank and Jordan -- were solid and professional. They quickly identified the issue, and then they were all over it, like a cheap suit. Hope we don't have to call them again any time soon, but when we do have another problem, we're totally confident about whom to contact.

Kyle met me at the house we are looking at buying and was thorough and competent. He worked hard to find the place where he could inspect the sewer (not easy mind you!). Hands down the most easy inspection scheduling process ever. They are quick to respond, flexible, and have the nicest technicians that don't seem annoyed at questions. I've dealt with RTSR from both sides, as a seller and buyer, and they have been phenomenal in advising me in each situation. Prices are reasonable and you will have access to the inspection video to send to other companies if RTSR is unable to do a repair or cleaning for any reason. Money well spent for more than just peace of mind!

Ron has been my go-to for sewer cleaning for well over a decade in a house that needs it regularly. Excellent service all around! Booking online was a breeze, and follow-up emails and texts were reassuring. I was kept in the loop about arrival time w. no problem. Jordan was polite and friendly, and got right to work on my drain. He worked hard at it for a couple hours before deciding it was more than he could handle. He reached out to his boss, and came up with a plan to come back the next day with a bigger machine.The next day, the two of them put in a couple more hours, working and working to get my drains cleared. At one point, they were concerned that they might have to come back a third day, but finally managed to clear the drain.Throughout the whole process, they kept me informed about how it was going. Called Ron the sewer rat because I had water coming out my floor drain. So I thought I needed my mainline cleared the tech nick said that he would run a camera for his own purposes. He ran the camera and stated that the city is backed up not me he went outside popped a man hole came back in and confirmed the city is backed up because he did not know how to charge me he called his boss and the boss told him to charge me for a 220 dollar camera that I did not want or agree too when the tech said he was doing it for his purposes and discovery. Me and the tech talked for awhile and we agreed a service call since nothing was done. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. seems money hungry and will try to sell what you don’t need.

Cannot recommend Ron the Sewer Rat enough. The floor drain in the basement of our rental property flooded on a Thursday night. I told the renters I would call RtSR in the morning and schedule an appointment as soon as possible. I called at 8AM and not only were they able to get someone out by 10AM, they called and said they were ahead of schedule and could make it there by 9:30 instead. Our rep was Jeff G, who I've actually worked with before, and he was awesome. Very professional and explained what he was doing as he was doing it. He was in an out in about 45 minutes and my renters as well as I are confident the issue is resolved.

I have had problems with tree roots in my sewer line of 90yr old home. I had another company out who charged a tremendous fee, drain became worse and I was told I needed to have line replaced by excavation.Tim came out and was able to clear my line. He was very skilled, professional, and kind. I AM VERY GRATEFUL AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Called to have a video inspection done on the sewer. Frank was technician that performed the inspection. He was here during the time slot. Performed the inspection and was done within an hour. Good news no issues. Price was reasonable. I received the video indicating some areas that could be a problem down the line (not urgent) I will recommend your company to friends and neighbors.

Really friendly, great tech came to do a basic main drain clean-out... I'm totally satisfied. Cost was $198.00. That was for a 1.5hr minimum job, so he basically polished the drain all the way to the city drain. Video was included.

From start to finish the whole process was easy, they have online scheduling, from which after I received a call and was able to actually move my appointment up. (Discount Rooter, and Hero Plumbing). Don’t waste your money at these other larger companies that just want to get a foot in the door and up sell you. I had a sewer back up in the evening and our plumber had recommended that we call Ron the Sewer Rat. I went online that evening to their website and booked the first available appointment, which was the next Monday. (This was Wednesday evening). The next morning, even before they were open, they texted me and said they could come out that day between 2pm-6pm. Jon called me about 15 minutes before 2pm and said he would be there at 2pm and he was right on time. He brought in his gear and went right to work. He said our clog had dissipated, but he used his camera and found some smaller roots, then he showed me on his camera, the entire drain pipe and explained what he was going to do. He took care of the roots and told us we should consider having this done a little more frequent than what we have been doing. The last time was 15 years ago. He was very professional and cleaned up his mess. He told me the total cost, which was very reasonable I might add. I paid him and we asked if he had any business cards. He went out to his truck and brought back a packet that included a fridge magnet, business card, nice ball point pen, and best of all, the Ron the Sewer Rat coloring book with crayons. My grandson is going to love that! I will definitely call them the next time I have any drain issues and will absolutely pass on their name to anyone I know that needs help with their drains. We had what seemed to be a backed up floor drain, but Jeff G. diagnosed it as a main line blockage. Our main line clean out had been buried in concrete when the previous home owners had the basement trenched sometime in the distant past and the only other clean out we could find was in a smaller drain line that served the toilets, hidden behind drywall and a stud. Nevertheless, he was able to get a smaller blade down it and cleared out the root blockage so we now are free flowing! Great customer service, very reasonable pricing and very careful and respectful of our house. Highly recommend!.

These guys are great. I had a good idea of what the problem was and they confirmed. They cleared out a 5ft blockage in a drain line that serves one whole side of the house. Nick was fast, and cleaned everything up afterwards. Also, they give you a clear idea of what you will pay before they come out... Base rate, plus dollars per hour if it exceeds an hour. If someone won't do that, you need to go elsewhere. Very happy, I will definitely use them again when needed.

This review could have easily been a zero star but turned into a tremendous customer service success story.Had Ron out to do an inspection when purchasing a home in Minneapolis and they unfortunately missed a crack in our sewer line during a video inspection.About 18 months later had them back to clean the line, and the technician mentioned a crack he had seen years prior at our house which was still present. I was shocked to hear that since the inspection hadn’t mentioned anything about it.Mistakes happen, and this was a pretty big one considering the cost of repairing or replacing a sewer line. Fortunately Ron the sewer rat immediately stepped up, took responsibility and made it right by contracting out repairs to our sewer line at their cost.This is a company that stands behind their service in a big way. We had our main sewer line cleared of roots when we first bought the home. Then a toilet shut off valve replaced, and the tub overflow and piping replaced just recently. I thought we needed more done from what our inspector found, but Emanuel explained why the pipes looked the way did and why not to be concerned. Awesome!Just great! They came out to clean the main sewer line. Afterwards our floor drain wasn't draining. It ended up being a coincidence (they fished out a very old bottlecap and some broken tiles) but still came and fixed it right away. Good prices and fast service, and they took great care of us. I have used this company several times and have had success each time. This most recent time was no exception. My technician Kyle was professional in every way. He took the necessary care into protecting my floors and walls. He explained everything clearly and the work was completed to my satisfaction. We had a routine main line cleaned of tree roots and old laundry room floor drain that always seems to be a little slow to go down.

Jeff was excellent. A good human who is knowledgeable and honest. I appreciated his kindness and compassion, while also doing great work. I will use this company again when the day comes that I need to.

We had a great experience with Ron the Sewer Rat. Scheduling was easy and they showed up when they said they would. On top of all that, we found them to be very honest. We had scheduled a scope with camera + cleaning, but they found that our line was actually very clean and didn't need cleaning, so they refunded the extra money that we had paid to have it cleaned. Our 1927 house has a not-so-nice relationship with tree roots, particularly as they make their way into our main line. Original service call was on a Saturday which would incur an extra $50 charge, for a slow draining kitchen sink, and a clogged basement floor drain. Rod J. came out and spent roughly 2 plus hours working on both issues. He admitted defeat on clearing the kitchen sink drain, apparently due to the way the piping was laid out behind walls, etc. He recommended having my plumber come out and looking at it further, and did not charge me for his effort. Then he went to work on the basement floor drain, and after considerable effort, admitted defeat there, too. That clog there seems to have been there for years, way longer than we've lived in the house, and was apparently incorrectly addressed by a plumber called in during the closing process three years ago. The main drainpipe is where the clog is, but the condensation can still get through the bypass. A good repair for that (tearing up the floor to replace the piping) would have been a horrendous cost to me, but he did recommend a fix, (for the occasional mild sewage smell which prompted the original call in the first place) that when I applied the next day, seems to be working. While I am disappointed the original clog issues were not resolved, Rod took care in explaining what he was doing, the difficulties he had to address, and the reasons why he could not resolve those issues. It was also nice to see the bill reduced by not charging me for the effort on the kitchen sink drain, and not charging the extra $50 weekend service fee. I was satisfied he had done his best, and have no reason not to call on them again if necessary.

Tim showed up with notification ahead of time and did a great job! With his years of experience, he could figure what and where the problem was in the drainage system to clear the problem. He was very considerate to clear the area for the work, went down into the crawlspace to assess the situation and explain the existing issues. If I were to have another problem with draining needs, I would use these guys again. I love these guys. The updates they did from a technology standpoint make it super easy to schedule appointments and know when they are coming. I would never use anyone else. Called a competitor that I got referred to by a plumber I have used in the past and they were going to charge me at least three times what Ron The Sewer Rat would. Ron and his Rats charged me $50 for a Saturday call. Total was under $200. The other place was going to charge me more than that for 1 hour not to mention charging for travel time/distance. My shower drain was clogged, so I called a plumber. Communication between the technicians was horrible, they told me different things to my face than what they put in their internal notes and would not clarify what needed to be done. I still don’t have a clear idea of the work completed and they are difficult to get ahold of. Their office staff also doesn’t communicate well, one telling me they could book over email and one telling me they could only book over the phone. They haven’t responded to my email outlining my difficulties with their service. I feel somewhat like I was taken advantage of for being a young female homeowner.

It took me three days to recognize the nature of the flooding basement problem, and by then it was Sunday--who is open? I scheduled with one company, then realized I should look at the reviews, and 9:00 p.m. Sunday night was when I discovered the company I had selected could charge me $850 for service that was rated 2.5 stars, whereas RTSR gets 5 stars for service, professionalism, quality and price! They were able to get a technician out that morning, and as I work from home, Garret was quiet, courteous, and efficient. I was charged $220 for excellent quality and response time when I would have paid 4x that much had I not read the reviews. Grateful for RTSR's professionalism, reasonable price, and swift response!

I've had a whole host of deferred home maintenance issues to tackle since moving in with my elderly father. Plumbing issues we're not at the TOP but very close. I'm in the process of purchasing a new home. We used Ron the Sewer Rat's services to conduct an inspection of the sewer line from the house to the city sewer. Rod J. was the gentleman that was assigned to our inspection. Rod was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He used state of the art equipment to run his diagnostics. We were then given a report and link to the inspection video too as evidence. I'm very glad to have used their services as we were able to detect issues that are very important we address during the purchase process of the house. Technician Lee came out to our place on a Saturday to clear out a backed-up main. He was friendly, honest and knowledgeable - had the line cleared and did a video inspection in around two hours. The video he took compared to our previous inspection (in 2014 when we bought the house) was night and day, truly the previous video was useless in comparison. The video Lee recorded was clear and thorough, and he took the time to look at each segment of the drain for cracks and problems. The price was also very reasonable, about half of what some other (to be unnamed) companies quoted me when I called. I am very happy with their visit and would recommend them to anyone. Our experience with Ron the Sewer Rat, specifically Jordan J the plumber who serviced us today was exceptional! Safely doing plumbing work in someone's house during a pandemic cannot be easy, both for the occupants and for the technician. The work that we needed done, clearing our main line was pretty basic, but Jordan's professional service and obvious care for safety was much appreciated, especially since a member of our household has an underlying health condition.Jordan came up to the door wearing a mask and gloves, and he had no issues being directed to our side door. To be fair, that is where I normally direct plumbers as it is easier to access our basement this way, but again, these aren't exactly normal times. He immediately removed his boots upon entering without being asked. And then quickly diagnosed our issue, explaining in simple to understand terms (for us non-plumbers) what he was going to do and how much it would cost, and then quickly set about doing it. He also did a follow up explanation when done. When it was time to pay, he donned a fresh pair of gloves (and he was still masked, the whole time too), took our CC info and then asked to signed our signature on his electronic tablet for us (one less touch point!). He also gave some useful maintenance advice, and finished with a recommendation that I open our basement windows for a while to clear out the air (basic maybe, but I was wearing a mask and was working in my basement too, so I had gotten use to the smell).Overall, we were really pleased with Jordan's professionalism and work. And because of this experience, I will definitely continue to use Ron the Sewer Rat for our future plumbing needs. And I highly recommend that you do to!

Prompt, courteous and gave me a great tip...to use an old nylon as a lint trap to catch fabric coming out of the clothes washer, better than a traditional trap because because the nylon is so fine and pliable. I scheduled an appointment via their website. Worked smoothly and perfectly. I received a call to confirm and to answer a few questions. and then a follow up email confirmation. The day of the appointment I received an email with a photo of Andy, the technician, which I appreciated. Great customer service. All of this foretold it would be a positive experience, but it turned out to being much more.The work I had chose to be done was to clean the main sewer line and the laundry room floor drain. Upon cleaning my main line Andy felt something was off, so he brought in the camera. He was correct as there was a hole in my sewer line with gas lines exposed. I was told by the city I live and Centerpoint Energy that Andy’s knowledge saved my house from “blowing up”. Last year in Edina another house had a similar situation, but the sewer company proceeded and ruptured the gas line, which ended in disaster. I am very thankful I chose Ron the Sewer Rat and from that had Andy and his coworker performing the service. I have recommended them already and will continue doing so. All the contractors from CenterPoint and the city have asked how I found out about the hole and I tell them Ron the Sewer Rat. Everyone immediately says great company.

These guys are seriously the best, the most professional and the most honest guys around. Dean's tried to charge me $1200 to water jet my clogged sewer line. These guys were able to clear my line with the standard cutting tool saving me a ton of money. They didn't try to up sell me on stuff I didn't need and were just honest. They've secured my business going forward.
