The tech looked at issue said he couldn't fix pipe said I needed the plumber. That was what I called for! Still charged $69 and did nothing. I told the person on the phone I had a broken coupler. Why send the drain guy out to tell me I need a plumber? This was a frustrating waste of my time. I made it clear on the phone I had an issue that being a broken coupler. The man was nice but I think he also felt he was sent to the wrong job. He said he still had to charge the service call. Levine and Son's should take ownership of sending the drain tech and not a plumber and refund my money.

Quality, prompt and professional service, they came to my house on time and were very polite. They explained what they found and quoted the price before they start working. No pressure at all. They finished the job the same day and were very clean. It was a pleasure to hire this company and I recommend them to all.

Great service from Matt! Had several companies previously work on my tankless heater/boiler and he was by FAR the most knowledge person that has worked on my system. Very patient explaining everything to me which I greatly appreciate.

I called for service, and a repair tech showed up within a couple of hours. He was very professional, provided suggestions on what not to put down the disposal, and performed his job well. After snaking approximately 21 feet, he reached the obstruction and immediately removed it. He was in and out within 25 minutes. Thank you Levine and Sons.

Had them come out to clear a sump pump drainage pipe. They used the wrong tool, and broke my pipe as they were not the first company to scope my pipe! When here asked them how much it would be to fix a broken pipe and their off the hip quote was 5100$. Even the main office has not gotten back with me on an official quote to fix my now broken pipe not just clogged pipe. I have called twice and told both times I would get a call back. The two men who came out were friendly however, it just doesn’t seem like this company really knows sump pump plumbing. Thanks for the broken pipe.

Office Staff was very professional, and found called us back when there was a cancelation so we could get an earlier appointment. William was also very professional, on time, knowledgeable and got our basement drains and pipes cleared quickly. Would highly recommend!

My A/C wasn't blowing cold after a power surge. Alex and Andre showed up a couple of hours later and within an hour had diagnosed a burned wire and contractor, grabbed the replacement part from the van, and lowered my body temperature back to safe levels. Quality professionalism.

The service was excellent! The technician installed additional piping for my gas line. The pipe work is clean, the anchors are beautifully cut and edges where sanded as he fabricated the lengths for a clean finish. I will use them for the other services they offer in the future. You can’t go wrong with this company

I had them come out to fix a problem with my plumbing that was leaking. Turns out the guy they sent out did the job wrong so they wanted to come and have him fix it again, it happens fine. Turns out when he fixed my problem he cracked my soil stack and admitted that when he fixed my original problem he was the one who cracked my soil stack and said the company would pay for it. A week later they send different people out to fix the mistake he made and the new issues. One of the gentleman they sent out denied that they were at fault and refused to pay for what the First Gentleman broke. He was extremely rude and made it seem like there was no way it was their fault, even though their employee admitted he was at fault. They put me in touch with the owner who was even more rude than his employee and wouldn’t listen to any of the proof I had that my soil stack was not broken prior to his employee coming out to fix the known issues. I still cannot use my kitchen sink and have to take them to small claims court to try and get justice for they’re wrong. Would not recommend this company to anyone, horrible experience.

I called at 8 AM with my plumbing problem. They were able to send a plumber the same afternoon. Should I need a plumber again this will be the first company I will call.

July 2020 update on A/C work:Super disappointed. They told me I needed an entire AC unit replaced, then the sales person never called me back with a quote. I called and left 2 VMs. I get being busy, but no return call at all?Then I called Flame Heating and Cooling, and they replaced the compressor only, saving me thousands.I've been a customer of Levine for six years. I can only imagine how they treat new customers.Cannot recommend Levine for AC!!!Plumbing:Best plumbers I've ever worked with in my 25+ years of home ownership. They do work on my boiler and my plumbing in my 1930 built home. They leave the workplace spotless, and they tell you exactly what they will do and why. Phone dispatcher is very knowledgeable.

Mike A. came over and repaired a leak that was coming from the kitchen sink and running into the basement. He was kind, professional and very knowledgeable. The dispatcher was also very helpful and friendly on the phone. I would recommend this company to others.

The technician was professional and very prompt. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to receive same day service. Mike the sales representative was very helpful.

The blower motor on my furnace stopped working and I needed a replacement right away because it was 11° outside, 60° inside and falling.The first company that came did not have the appropriate motor for my furnace. I called Levine and Sons parts counter and found that they had the correct motor in stock. I told the person scheduling service to make sure to note to the technician to get the correct motor, as it is shorter than most.They did put the notes on the records for the technician to pick up the 'special motor' waiting at the parts counter, and he ignored them. Instead he brought a much longer 'Universal motor', just like the first company tried, and it didn't fit. The technician said that HE DID see the special note, but said that most homeowners don't know what they need, and ignored it!They were very prompt in their response to come to my house on a Saturday, but they did not follow my directions to bring the correct part for my furnace. I specifically talk to the woman scheduling the service call and made sure she understood that I needed a unique motor, and they have three in stock at their warehouse just 5 miles away from my home.Rather than accept his error and go back to the warehouse to get the correct motor, he simply said there was no charge for showing up with the wrong motor, and he was not able to do anything. So he simply left.I give them three stars for the receptionist, the woman that scheduled service as she did relay the necessary information to the repair technician. And for the counter person that verified they had the exact motor I needed.But I give zero Stars to the technician.He had a document in his hand telling him exactly what I needed, and he ignored it. His excuse was that most homeowners don't know but they need.Yet he could have spent 1 or 2 minutes looking up the motor. Especially because the work order stated to bring the correct one and not a universal fit one.

I HIGHLY recommend Levine & Sons! I discovered I had a clogged sewer drain when doing laundry, and the drain cycle kicked in. Of course, there also happened to be a rain storm at the same time and rain water began to build up in my basement. They arrived within 2 hours of me calling and during the time window they said they would! I had Xavier work on my sewer line and he was very professional, and made sure to protect my house as much as possible in the process by laying covers over the floors, etc. Within minutes of beginning the drain cleaning, he cleared the roots that had built up in my line and water started draining properly! Hero!! I am so happy this problem was resolved so quickly, before any real damage to my house was done. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! if I ever have a problem again, I'll be calling Levine & Sons.

William was Awesome.I am a disabled senior citizen. A Company Named Nowicki's out of Wyndotte came twice. Once with 2 men and 4 hours, another trip back with 2 different men than a 5th man came with a camera. They created a problem causing backups in my basement that did not exist before they played with there snakes ignorantly. They were called for a broken pipe. They refused to come back and fix the problem they created..I don't have the energy to legally fight them.A HUGE THANK YOU TO WILLIAM,LEVINE & SONS and LISA WHOM CALMED ME DOWN AND SENT WILLIAM.I truly was hysterical !Thank You, now I can breathe

Water heater quit working. They use texts to keep you up to date on appointment time and actually were able to move it up for us. They also have an app like uber that shows you where the repair person is on the way to your home. Gave us options on repair vs replace. Wasn’t cheap but service was very good.

Tech was over an hour late when my house was down to 50 degrees. Miss diagnosed my furnace issue. Tried to get me for a 900 dollar repair that was not necessary nor the issue. Had a professional company come out for a second opinion same day. Fixed my issue for 100 dollar service call and was completely different issue then what the tech said. Also he Sat in his truck for 45 minutes while my children were inside freezing. Do not use this company. Un experienced tech. Just a parts changer . A very expensive one at that. Very very unhappy with there service. Will never ever use them again

I highly recommend Levine and Sons for your plumbing needs. Mike was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. He did an excellent job diagnosing the leak coming from my basement ceiling. Turns out the problem was with the shower in my bedroom. Unfortunately some drywall had to be removed to fix the issue, but Mike got it done. Also Mike had no problem answering my questions helping me understand the process of fixing the problem. When its plumbing problem beyond your ability call the pros at Levine and Sons.

Toilet was going to be fixed many. But this young man came in(2 hours earlier) was so professional. I ask if it was too late to get a handicap toilet. He made some calls and sure enough Got My Toilet! Emergency call on Saturday , came in 2 hours!!The price was so reasonable I cried.

Easy to schedule a same day appointment. They were even able to accommodate me earlier than promised. The plumber was masked and quickly assessed and fixed our problem. This is our second time using them and will use them the next time we need a plumber.

The guys were great, friendly and thorough, disposal was fixed. I have to say however that Levine & sons have gotten increasingly more expensive. They installed my disposal originally so I called them but nearly every service is more expensive than other local, smaller companies. The service people are super professional and it’s a shame that I won’t call them again in the future.

Had an emergency kitchen drain pipe leak. They were able to come out the next day. Mike was friendly and professional. He explained the steps and options. He gave me all pricing up front. Fast and efficient service. Excellent customer service. I called on a Saturday morning hoping to get someone to remove my old non-functioning water heater and to install a new one. They took a little information from me over the phone and then had an installer at my home within the hour. The installer was very knowledgeable and explained my options in detail. Once we came to an agreement regarding the work that needed to be done and the cost, the installer had a new water heater up and running 3 hours later. My experience with Levine and Sons was very professional and pleasant.

Great experience! I called at 8am and had a technician at my house at 9:15am. Super friendly, and knowledgeable. The repair was done quickly and I was able to get back to my day. No waiting around all day for someone to show up. I would definitely use them again!

Have used this company many times, the first was when water heater broke on a Saturday over July 4 weekend and they were the only company that would come out same day, which was at 7pm! Service was excellent, so for our future needs, we always start with Levine. They're prices are always in the ballpark with everyone else, they do great work, so I direct my work to them. Most recently needed a gas shutoff installed in kitchen, the gentleman was on time, did a great job was very nice and it works like a charm. I can't recommend this company enough! Thank you Levine for being there when needed!

Scott on site within the hour, assessed our situation, explained what needed to be done, and while he was gathering the needed equipment, my son and I cleared access to the proper clean out. He got to work and within minutes, our sewer was cleared and flowing freely. He gave us a brief synopsis of what was done, cleaned up his tools and was on his way. Response very good. Very much appreciated. Technician very capable. Service fee and hourly rate fair. You took advantage of me with the cost of a low voltage transformer. Charged at least 4x the price of the standard low voltage furnace transformer specified.

I am pleased with the way Levine & Sons reps were addressing my problem (back-up of a basement drain). A visit was scheduled within 24h from my call. I was told that I will receive a text to alert me of when the technician will arrive at my home, I was told how much the repair is estimated to cost and under which conditions. Today, all happened as told and expected. The technician, D'Angelo Berrios, was wearing a mask, was attentive to keep the work area clean, was on time and finished the job in a timely manner. I was told that scoping the drain is included in the price. Due to the technician's scope being under repair he could not verify it all was OK. I was told to call his supervisor to setup a (free) visit to scope the drain and find out if additional work was needed (as indicated by the traces of matter on the snake).All in all, I would recommend Levine & Sons if one has a drain issue.

We had a basement flooding in my condo complex and they were able to send out one of their “BEST” employees. Scott arrived earlier than I had expected which was great, he was able to find out the problem and solve it. He basically saved my entire building from flooding all the units, with his expertise, kind manner and exceptional knowledge of the problem. Signed up for a repair that said one price, then they called for confirmation with a much higher price. Even after I explained the issue in the initial appointment and again on the call for the appointment confirmation, I was still left with a $650 bill ($450 higher than the second quote) to fix the issue. The repair was done, but they are very expensive and deceiving in their pricing as we didn't know exactly how much we would have to pay until they were there and doing the work. An accurate cost estimate would have been nice ahead of time. Overall, the repair was done and everything is working well, just a bit on the expensive side for what was done.

I'm honestly not sure what a fair price is for the work I had done on my boiler. But 2 parts needed to be replaced. Thank goodness they were able to get the parts in a couple hours and have me back up and running. I really don't have any complaints. Friendly worker. Hard worker. Very knowledgeable. I felt confident the employee knew his way around an old boiler. Thankful it is fixed on this cold windy day. I just really wish all service companies posted a general price guide on their websites. I know this is wishful thinking but it would be nice to compare.

Our tech Anthony came to snake our strange and winding plumbing. It’s definitely a tricky system and at first if didn’t look like it was going to clear. But he kept at it and worked really hard. And viola toilet miraculously started flushing. I can’t explain my relief!! So happy with the service we received

I spoke with the owner about my situation and he indicated that it was something in there scope of expertise, they could probably do it. he needed to send some one out to go up on the roof and assess, he did come on time as promised but did not come with the ladder to get on the roof. So no realistic assessmentonly guess. Really...was a waste of time. And I still had to pay a service call. REALLY!!!.

Our situation was a kitchen leaky drain trap with visitors coming over on Labor Day weekend. Luke was here in less than 15 minutes from my call to your office. He is very knowledgeable and polite and the repair was completed in less than an hour.

The work performed was done satisfactorily, however the serviceman's personality was less than stellar. I found him to be a bit of a wise-guy, borderline disrespectful. In the current climate some people have great difficulty masking their biases. To the company: a reminder that first impressions of new customers include the conduct of the serviceperson as well as the work performed. A negative impression could cost you a potential loyal repeat customer.

Chaim was just amazing! He was so helpful and so honest and I am so glad that he came to my house to repair my air conditioning, and I feel so confident that I would love to have him back again. He did a wonderful job, and I was extremely pleased.

The technician was very helpful and explained everything that was going on to me and what needed to be done to fix it.

The technician Jim, that they sent out didn’t know what he was doing. Told us our heat exchanger was cracked when it wasn’t and the furnace was just really dirty. Charged us for a full cleaning but did not clean it. Told us it would be $8k to replace the whole thing. We ended up getting a whole new furnace through a different company for half the price. Once they got things opened up they identified it was clogged and the heat exchanger wasn’t cracked at all. Would have run fine once fully cleaned, which would’ve been a dirty job, but totally doable. We wasted so much money because of Jim’s negligence. We will never use this company again. They overcharge and lecture you instead of doing the job you pay them to do.

Very good service, little pricey, my bill was 2,000$. He did do a good amount of work. He replaced 3 parts, and added a new drain Spicket. He worked 4.5 hours. I liked the tech very nice.

Got home from work on the 16 of Feb. and basement was filling with water and Sump Pump not working. Called office, and was able to use bypass to get water out initially, and called and they sent Dylan Wells out on an emergency call.He arrived on time and was very cordial and had on mask and wore foot covering in the house. He explained what was wrong and what was needed at each step and we agreed on what was to be done.Dylan did the work in a fair amount of time and cleaned up all of the old equipment and left my basement spotless related to the service. Unfortunately as a customer it doesn't seem many places keep that in mind but I have to say my interactions with Dylan were very professional and I found him very competent with the work needing to be done.Would give this work and interaction 5 stars and would highly recommend this company for any job. I also found the woman who called me back in a short time to be very detail oriented, cordial and very helpful.

They came to repair a clogged washer drain. Once they arrived I was told that they wouldn’t move the washer (it has been done several times by other service technicians) Their repairman then asked that I pay the $199 trip fee!This is the first time I call Levine and it will be the last.

Had Technician Ken come in the morning to fix a blocked drain problem we were having. Was able to fix the bath tub and tried to work on the sink but his machine broke. Price was slightly higher then the competition but in a pinch they had a quick response. From the time we called on a Sunday morning till the time the plumber showed up was around an hour. Anthony was very professional and had the problem squared away in no time. If I was in plumbing, I would have tried to snag him! Overall a pleasant experience under unpleasant circumstances.

Mike came out at short notice and helped resolve a basement drip issue after a major ice storm that knocked out power over 3 days. He was very professional, on time, and thorough. He confirmed that our sump pump was also busted. So we got quotes for that, and our old water heater along with some other plumbing repairs. His service was so good that we also signed up for annual maintenance service calls for HVAC and Water heater. We were very impressed with their prompt and high quality service, at very reasonable rates! They are now our go to HVAC/Plumbing service.

I had my galvanized plumbing replaced. Levine and Sons did an excellent job. They arrived each day on time (notified me ahead of time), very professional and courteous, and cleaned up all debris. They managed my expectations and did not disappoint.

My husband had total knee replacement on Monday7/6. We have a regular height toilet on the first floor which he is restricted to. The toilet was to low for him to be able to use. Found a commode that fit over toilet to add height with handrails. That didn’t work. We needed a higher toilet that he could use with walker. Our local hardware plumbing dept. could not come until next Wed. 7/14. Then I recalled that we had used Levine and Sons to purchase and install our new air conditioner a few years ago. I called and spoke with Lisa and explained my needs. Bythe end of the phone call I had Russ coming at 2:00 to install the higher toilet. By 4 it was in and a huge relief as my husband could use it much more easily because of the height. Thank you to Lisa, Russ, and Levine and Sons for making it happen today. Had D'Angelo Berrios over to replace my sump pump and clean out my sump pit. He got to the house when he said he would. Was quick and proficient as he went about what needed to be done. Absolute RIP OFF!!! Cost $69 to get a $500 quote to change supply lines and shut off valves on a bathroom sink. Called another plumber and he came over same day for $200. Definitely felt like they would prefer to show up at your house and collect the $69 but if you’re dumb enough to pay an outrageous estimate then they’ll prey on your stupidity…

We had Levine and Sons install our furnace, A/C and some new ductwork in 7/2016, and we have been working extremely satisfied.In the last few weeks, as we had weather going between cold and hot, we noticed that our outdoor compressor wasn’t running. We contacted Levine and Sons on line and were able to schedule a service evaluation in their site. We could have actually had them come on Memorial Day, but opted for the day after.Technician Chaim Zeiler arrived on time after we were advised he was on his way. Chaim, an obviously highly experienced tech, asked about our problem, ensured the thermostat was running right, evaluated our furnace, checked the filter, (we thankfully had a spare!), and then proceeded to give our compressor a thorough evaluation.The repair was thankfully a relatively simple one, but in the process, Chaim gave us a great education in how the whole system works, cleaned the condenser, tested the connections to the outdoor fuse, checked and regulated the refrigerant levels and made certain everything was running exactly the way it should.We have used Levine and Sons to do extensive plumbing repairs and boiler maintenance at my mom’s and now we are happy to continue to have them provide great equipment and only the highest quality service on same. We can recommend Chaim Zeiler wholeheartedly as a tech we’d be happy and relieved to come to our home and Levine and Sons as our only go-to for heating, cooling, and plumbing.

Over my thirty plus years in my home I have had many contractors of one sort or another, and I must say Levine & Sons is by far the most professional and efficient I have ever seen. We had a very big sewer pipe disaster, and at one point we had ten or more guys in and outside of my home. Without fail all were polite and professional, displaying plumbing expertise and sound judgement at every turn. I'm sad that the disaster happened, but I feel grateful that this firm was recommended to me and that they finished the job to my utmost satisfaction. Two thumbs way up!

Basement started backing up and needed a plumber ASAP. I called 6 places and this was the first one to respond with a plumber, price, and time window of arrival. Yes, it was a little pricey for same day service but it was worth not having to have our basement flooded. Thank you for a quick response and solid service.

The technician was very experienced, but BEWARE service call was $69 but his diagnostic, which couldn't be completed because electricity was not available on the switch he had to look at to the boiler. I was charged a separate fee of $90. When another company was honest and said $175. Words are very important and I will not use them again.

Once again Levine and Sons came tot he rescue. Woke up this morning with a cold 58 degree house as the furnace decided to stop running. Called Levine and Sons and were the second call on their list today. Recieved a wonderfully polite call from the office to tell us our technician Alex, was on his way. Alex came and determined we had a cracked igniter. Lucky for us it was something that was carried in the truck. He did a nice inspection on the furnace, checked the humidifer, cleaned out the water resevior that the humidifer water goes through and realized it was sticking and running continuosly, took it apart (filled with gucked) and got it running and stopping when it was supposed to.Alex was polite, friendly and very helpful. I had been having issues with my heater in and off for 6 months. Finally called Levine and Sons. They called back fast and were out on the day I asked. Diagnosed and fixed my furnace without costing me and arm and a leg. A+++

Air/con needed service. Chaim was sent and proceeded to do an excellent job. Took pictures of the problems and explained them and the cure. Signed up for yearly inspection to make sure all is good.

Scott and Xavier came out to unblock the sewer. Had to go out 100 feet twice to clear the tree roots. They were polite clean and efficient. They arranged for a scope to come out later to check the sewer for breaks in the pipeline. Very satisfied with their service.

Total pros start to finish. The front office answered on a Saturday and asked the right questions to make sure the plumber was prepared. Good text system in place to confirm the appointment, let you know the plumber is on their way, and when they've arrived. D'Angelo was polite, masked, and kept me informed of the cost. I was a little concerned as to why it took 20 minutes to snake out a 15 foot section of drain, but that's because he did the full 100 feet to the main sewer, eliminating roots above and beyond the small section where the primary block was. Contactless bill payment. Top notch!

Ron showed up and asked about the issue. He's very professional and nice. Surveyed the area and offered to snake with a camera down my sump pump line. It was found to not be my sump pump line, after we offered to snake my neighbor's line and discovered the issue was there. I was charged nothing for the service with the reason being he's in this area all the time. I will definitely be letting them know the next time I need any future service.

I recently had Levine and Sons complete the plumbing portion of renovations to my laundry room and two bathrooms. Plumbers Cameron and Luke did a great job installing all the fixtures and getting all toilets, sinks, and drains connected. They even went above and beyond to identify and remove a clogged water pipe that was preventing cold water from getting to the sink. They had to cut out some of the existing water line and replace it. Thanks Cameron and Luke!

This is the 2nd time I’ve used Levine Bros. They’re an excellent company. They use top quality products & will honestly recommend repair vs replacement when the situation warrants it. I had 2 plumbers on different days - Cameron & Dylan. They were both highly professional & friendly. Explained everything along the way. I will use Levine Bros again.

They would not quote a price over the phone and said the $69 trip would be deducted. They charged $250 for less than an hours work even with me providing the parts. Would not recommend this business

Made appointment for service, was rescheduled by the company 3x, so actual appointment was 3 weeks later after original appointment. Every time they rescheduled I had to wait a full week (to be out at the end of schedule instead of given priority) Was only given priority after 3 time being rescheduled. Then was only given an estimate because, the job required more than 2 servicemen. I understand we are in a pandemic but no consideration was given to my time as well as trying to give this company my business.

My gas furnace was not working properly it became very cold in the house. I called Levine & Sons and their service man, Winston, arrived in about 1 hour 30 minutes. He, was professional, kind, and quickly diagnosed the problem, my heat was restored and Winston also cleaned my furnace. Winston did excellent work.

Nothing says fun like a Sunday sewer back up. It was easy to schedule to have a technician come out. He was on-time, great personality, explained what he was doing along each step of the way. The Technician listened to what we said about the issue. He protected our floors, wore boot covers in the house. He was GREAT! I would love to have D’Angelo work for me. He got the drain opened and he cleaned up. For a Sunday on short notice I thought it was a good value.

Had a water shutoff valve come off in my hand on the day before Easter in the middle of the pandemic. I tried 2 other companies I had used before and got no response. Fast forward a couple of days. I called Levine & Sons at 10:50 am, Mike was here by 11:30 and done replacing that valve and the other one for the same sink by 2:00. He examined the issue, checked the companion valve (which had the same issue), made a recommendation with an estimate, and got the work done promptly. Saved me from having this happen a second time! I'll be calling again for some other items that I want done.

Scott and Conner were very friendly and they came ready to do a job. When the camera couldn't go any further and the snake started hitting something hard, they told me what could be the issue. I called as a first time homeowner concerned about strange sounds my furnace was making. When I called for the appointment, the scheduling staff were all very pleasant and attentive, and were able to schedule me quickly. Winston came out on time. He was kind, courteous and took the time to educate me about exactly how my furnace should work. He happily explained my system multiple times, and answered all of my questions. He proceeded to clean and check my furnace. Showed me what parts were faulty and what that meant. Showed me the replacement parts and how they worked.. Even allowed me to video the parts as he described them. He discussed my future options, ballpark figures and names of people to contact. After the job was completed he showed me the improvement in performance and explained the charges and recommendations. I felt confident in the work, and happy to know that I have a company I can trust to work with in the future.

Levine & Sons are THE best in Southeast Michigan. When you need something done right the first time, I'm warning you to not look anywhere else! You have already found it. I have been a loyal customer for a long time and they've never let me down once. On time, and have gone above and beyond on more than one occasion. As long as I live here, they will be who I call.

Our normal plumber was unavailable but recommended Levine & Sons as an immediate alternate to diagnose a toilet issue. It would not flush properly. When flushed, water would leak from around the base of the toilet. We fully believed that the pipe was blocked.Levine & Sons didn't send out a plumber - They sent a Drain specialist. This person did not look at the pipes in the bathroom and said the toilet was flushing fine. It was not. We called back a couple of days later and said the problem was not fixed. They sent another specialist that didn't even snake the line to see what was blocking the toilet. Problem still exists and we are out $ 150 for the service call.It was obvious that the team really didn't want to complete the work necessary to fix the issue and instead wanted to charge us more money to come out and try to fix the problem.I have heard good things in the past about Levine & Sons, but with this very poor experience, I will never use them again.

I am a laid off veteran and do not have any money to waste so if you value your money do not ever hire this company under any circumstances, they tell that they charge a $69 fee to come out & the $69 fee goes towards the repair but that was not the truth, they add the $69 to your repair cost. I needed my garbage disposal replaced & they told me that they had to come out to give me a quote which was of course $69, I had my own new garbage disposal & they quoted me a price of $395. If I didn't get the work done I would be responsible to pay the $69. The technician started the job at 12:35 p.m. and was done at 1:05 p.m. now you tell me was that really worth my $395? that wasn't even an hour worth of work. How much do they make per hour, $800? so never use this company, they overcharge you & the hide the fact that they add the service cost into your repair without telling you that over the phone.

Our service technician Jon came in to get the job done. During this difficult time, he came in ready to work and completed his task in a timely manner. He wore his protective gloves and masks which I greatly appreciated because we have been in the house and no one has been to our home. Setting up our appointment was fast and easy. Theresa called me back quickly on a Sunday and assured me that we would be serviced. Our main drain was clogged and he got the job done and gave some recommendations. I would most definitely use them again and recommend their services to anyone. Great job!

I have welcomed many of their technicians into my home and have always been happy with the results I am given. They always quote me up front. The technician was on time and gave more options as opposed to just replacing the furnace. It was burning improperly and blowing back carbon monoxide. I will do another review after the boiler is fixed.Just realized I never gave an update. Long story short they did a great job repairing my boiler. I would recommend.

I have known and used Levine & Sons for years now and I have to say that I will never use another company. They don't sell you on needless upgrades or services. Rather, they recommend and provide you with what you need. Furthermore, beyond just the tremendous skill set of their technicians, they are trustworthy - skilled and honest. You will not find better. Their prices are competitive and, let me just add, you get what you pay for! For the money, you will be hard pressed to find better.

Two days before Christmas I called Levine & Sons. They came out within two hours. Anthony was so friendly, knowledgeable and professional. One drain was blocked which effected two showers. He fixed it easily and quickly. He saved the Christmas weekend. I had called one other plumbing service first who said they couldn't come until after the holidays. Very happy with the service provided by Levine & Sons! The toilet, tub, and sinks in our house were plugged up and not draining despite the couple things we tried, so we called them out to help. On New Year’s Day, found puddles of water throughout basement floor. Suspected blockage in drain tile because no water was entering the sump pump. Called Levine & Sons and had plumber out first thing January 2 to snake the lines. He found and cleared a massive blockage in the drain tile near the sump pump before snaking and the water immediately drained.Anthony was on time, professional, efficient and effective in resolving our problem.

Very friendly and professional. They show up on time and install great products. The only downside is they are more expensive than most others I have used.

Not anything bad I could really say. I called them and in about 2 hours someone was in my home.( would of been faster but I couldn't get home fast enough). Ricky was my tech and he went over and beyond expectations. He treated my home as if it was his own. They did not try to nickle and dime me. The cost was up front and stayed that way. I can say I'd use them again. To the owner of this business you should take time to recognize Ricky. These guys are great. I had an issue with my water heater pilot light that needed some more maintenance than just a reset. Levine & Sons got their out to my house within 24 hours. The tech was prompt, professional, thorough and fairly priced. Most importantly he fixed the issue!

I scheduled an annual maintenance check and cleaning service; the tech did not show when scheduled; office called afterwards to reschedule. Once again, tech did not show when scheduled; and once again office called after-the fact to see if I could wait around another hour for a different tech to arrive. Surprisingly unprofessional

David came to my house and was very respectful and made me feel comfortable right away. He not only gave me very good service but introduced me to their family plan that I purchased also because it covers all those big ticket items that I can't fix myself. I was very impressed with his work and thoroughness with every detail. He also explained what was going on and what he did to fix it. If I had another problem I would hope to have him again. I would reccomend this company to anyone.

Called them to have them come take a look at my shower ( 9/21). The woman who answered stated they don't service our area (Inkster), yet their website states serves all of Wayne and Oakland counties. Guess if you live in a predominantly black neighborhood, they will not set foot in there.

So thankful I called and had them come out, if all of their Plumbers are like D’angleo then they have a great bunch plumbers. Also they are very reasonable with the price for repairs and very thorough. Such a weight lifted. I will recommend them to anyone I know who is having issues with their plumbing!

7-27-23 I’ve used Levine/Son before and I’ve never had any issues always in time, very professional and solid work. Today my technician was Austin Mikulan he came right in and diagnosed the problem with my water line was done in less than 25mins. He asked did I have any other issues I told him my tub would leak when I shower or bath. He fixed that issue in less than 40 mins. I killed to birds with one stone. Total price was $309 bucks. I would have to type to much to go into detail, bottom line I’m totally satisfied.

Furnace was on the way out and the team at Levines was fantastic to work with. Everyone I met was very professional and knowledgeable. All questions were answered and the new furnace was installed and running within the time they provided.
If I need further service for heating or air I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

My water heater started to leak. After calling them Jay Amr was at my house in about a half hour. He was very nice and professional. Replaced our water heater and did a great job!

Dave was just here for a backflow inspection on our sprinkler system and did a wonderful job. He explained everything, gave us a good price, and is sending our paperwork to the city of Troy so we don't have to. I highly recommend them.

I’m really happy we got in touch with these folks! Any time I called, the ladies in charge of scheduling were really patient and helpful (and also awesome). Our service tech arrived on time, and he was communicative and competent. When the replacement disposal wasn’t available on the truck they had someone run it out in no time. Experience was good from the tech. He did a observation for underground pipes to find out that nothing was wrong. But they are going to send a technician back out here to run cameras through my pipes to make sure everything’s all right

Dave Mullins did plumbing inspection as part of the Family Plan services. As before with his plumbing repairs in the past, he was the most knowledgeable, helpful and professional plumber we’ve ever had to our home. No up selling and very thorough and articulate.

The good thing is they are very professional and reassuring when you talk to them. They are also responsive and punctual. So if you have an absolutely emergency you might find them useful.I had a non emergency sewer repair work that needed to be done, the pipe is not buried deep and they quoted me $6,000 explaining that they needed to bring an excavator. I got the job done for $800 and it was hand dug by 2 plumbers in their 50's and completed within 2.5hrs. The price gouging is terrible and I highly recommend you shop around.

Very enjoyable experience. Every person (from the office staff to the service technicians) was very friendly and professional. My water tank went out and Jeff was at my home within an hour. He made a focused attempt at trying to repair my old tank before recommending a replacement. He was very thorough and took time to explain every step to me. We had two techs out on two different days. Day one to unplug main sewer. Day two to investigate and repair / unplug bathroom sink. Called management about how one of the issues that got fixed caused another issue. And now still have another issue to fix caused by their end. Management said its not their issue because they're a high end company. Great way to be a company owner of not listening to customer concerns. More like let me cause another issue to charge you more. I say this because while we were trying to point out a concern of the piping, the plumber kept looking for something else that seemed to not want to listen. Not that he was not nice, but if the customer has a concern LISTEN TO WHAT WERE PAYING FOR. The manager wants to say its not their problem because he gave us quotes, not for the leaking but only for the garbage disposal that was twice the price than home depot. false advertisement is not high end period.

The technician Joe Wall was very informative professional explained the work being done answered my questions and was very personable which I feel is important when service is being performed. I had a great customer service experience and I will refer Levine and Sons to my friends and family.

Our handicapped daughter caused a sewer clog during our renovation of our upstairs bathroom/ tub/shower and floor tile. This left our daughter with no bathroom facilities. We called Levine as we have their family plan. Almost immediately Levine dispatched a plumber who arrived in about 30 minutes of our emergency call. All was fixed in about 20 minutes and a crisis was adverted thanks to Levine's timely service call.

Nick did an amazing job on our very old AC system: he brought it back to life. I highly recommend this company for their honesty, dependability, and work ethic.

The cost was outrageous for what was done. $40.00 to $50.00 for the parts and was charged over $500.00 for 15 minutes of work. We had someone replace the facet in the shower and it was a lot more work and it cost half of what we paid. Don't think I will be using them again. One good thing the guy that did the work was very nice.I guess I should have said we needed them today and they were willing to squeeze us in. Not like another place I called. They were going to change me the after hours fee.

I’ll always call Levine & Sons for my plumbing needs. Scott addressed our service needs he was fast, friendly, professional and time. My only suggestion is that the website needs to contain a place where customers can learn about payment options such as credit card, cash, check, etc. and the types of credit cards they accept. The only information of this kind that I found was about financing (which was good to know for more costly service needs).

I had the best experience with Levine and Sons. From scheduling to work completion, every individual was professional and pleasant. The work was done efficiently. I am more than pleased and highly recommend.

Great experience with the company, both on the job and with customer service. Had them come out to snake and power jet my sewer lines, but found with the camera that they were collapsed. Was able to schedule a full sewer replacement the very next day. Work done was very professional and finished in one day. Dig crew dig a good job in the front yard and filled in very well. And had all new lines ran from under the house out to the newly installed sewer line. Fell into a bad situation, and Levine & Sons got it resolved very fast and with professional work.

I am writing this review retrospectively. I have had two experiences with this company and both were good. First time it was an issue with our Air conditioner. They came out and first thing the guy checked was the fuse and of course it was blown (had it occurred to me, I could have saved a few bucks 😊). The second time it our my furnace. The gentleman who came out took time to go through a systematic set of trouble shooting and explained everything to me during the process. He appeared to be very knowledgeable and he was able to diagnose the problem and fix it. It was due to lack of maintenance (for the most part) but nothing serious. Did not require a part replacement or anything but he showed me what to do next time if that happened which I thought was great for people like me who like to do some maintenance themselves. Overall I was very happy with the service.

The company missed the first appointment, they arrived promptly for the 2nd appointment . Work was completed well. They assessed a gas line for an outdoor grille and added a shut off valve and it was $419, company was on site for roughly 1 hour so it seemed over priced in my opinion, but that’s alot of skilled trade companies.

My landlord has a water tank installed in my unit, he explained my basement flood due to its location. Dave Bradshaw went out of the way to find a solution to keeping the tank lit when it floods. I now have a state of the art hot water tank, on a steel platform. The techs that were out, were outstanding and full of knowledge! My landlord loved their service, and the way they handled each step. Levine and Sons thinks outside of the box to make you comfortable in your home! I give them a 100 out of 10 stars!

The City of Berkley needed to update water meters. The meter valves had to be replaced. Jeffrey, from Levine and Son's Plumbing was on time, professional, skilled, and efficient. I'm so pleased to have Levine & Sons to rely on when things happen like this.

I smelled gas so consumers came out and inspected my furnace line, there was a valve that needed to be replaced. Levine came out very quickly and got it taken care of . They had all of the parts needed on the spot and did a great job. Very respectful and explained everything that they were doing. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Price gouging - period! I called to have two under-sink shut-off valves and a faucet replaced for my mother who is in her 80s. I have done this work myself frequently, but could not get there quickly and am not so practiced at sweating copper connections. I was concerned the drip could become a more serious leak so turned to Levine and Sons. We purchased and supplied the faucet. When I called they would not provide their price for these tasks and indicated they did not have an hourly rate - instead by the job after assessing. $69 service fee to come out - which I understand and accept. THE QUOTE WAS $350 TO INSTALL THE FAUCET. I thought they must be mistaken and thinking they were supplying some high end faucet. Nope. Labor. Are you freakin kidding me? And $178 for two valves. The office suggested I could call the owner, who discounted the faucet install to $275. This is a ridiculous, rip-off price for a job that takes a plumber or a capable homeowner 45 minutes. I needed to get this done and already sunk their service call cost so I had them do it. The plumber didn't solder the shut-off valves, just cut off the old and used a couple turns on new compression style valves - 15 minutes. $450 + service call fee for that 1-1.5 hour job. Price gouging. The plumber - who made clear he cannot influence the quoted pricing - was very professional and courteous.

The actual job (removing our old dishwasher/installing our new one) was great, and the technician, Mike did an awesome job. It was all the other stuff that I was frustrated with. When I first called, they said they could fit me in the next day but then called the next day and told me they wouldn’t be able to make it. So I scheduled them for the following week and had to wait five extra days. Secondly, when I first called, I asked for a ball-park estimate about pricing and was told there was no way they could offer that over the phone and I’d have to wait til my tech came to the house. All said and done I ended up paying more to have this dishwasher installed (over $500) than I paid for the actual dishwasher, which was frustrating because when the tech came over he clicked one button on his iPad and it immediately came up with a price. Why they couldn’t quote me over the phone when they clearly have a super detailed pricing list is very confusing to me. I also wasn’t told about the service fee, and it wasn’t waived even though I went with their company for the installation. Overall, great job but so needlessly expensive.

The technician Jon that came out was beyond helpful. Very prompt and professional in his job. Explained everything that was happening and want needs to be done in the future to prevent this again. Super pleased called 10am on a Saturday and they were out to my house by 3pm. Highly recommended this company.

They serviced a water heater and charged over $400 to fix it. It went out 3 weeks later, and they charged another $80 service fee to tell us it was the same problem and we should replace the 40 gallon gas water heater. They quoted over $2,800 to replace the water heater, on top of the initial $400+ to fix it 3 weeks ago. I've been managing properties for over 12 years in Michigan and this is EXTREME PRICE GOUGING! They would NOT stand by their initial work done for $400 (not even for 30 days). On top of all of this they charged $80 for the repeat service charge. NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF THIEVES!

Installed the access cap too low, 5-6 inches below the concert; when they started to pour the driveway, they noticed the issue. I tried calling multiple times to resolve or even help with a solution no answer or call back.When the job was complete, they said their boss Ron would inspect the job and give recommendations for the steps. A. Quote for the jet. B. Quote for selves to be installed in an old pipe under the basement.After a week no call no show, I reached out and was told multiple times on the phone that Ron would reach out, then it turned to here is his number call and leave a message.After inspection, I was concerned with the workman ship. I called and submitted pictures of my concern areas. Again I was told Ron would call and visit.After two more weeks, I hired another company to complete the job correctly.I have called and texted mutilate times, asking for an invoice, and yet to receive an invoice even to pay.Horrible communication and customer service.I would never recommend a family or friend; in fact, I will tell everyone I know not to use your services.Please forgive my poor spelling and grammarBrian Mishowski

I contacted the Company for a quote and a sales person Mike Neal came out and notified me I would have a quote by 5 pm that day. He was arrogant not rude but not nice person. He did not explain anything or ask me any questions on what I was looking for. When I asked what brand of furnace did they quote he said a Lenox but quoted me an inferior American Standard. The next day I had not received a quote and I called twice requesting one. I was finally emailed one and that was it. No one called back to confirm I received it or to see if I had any questions or to schedule. I ended up going with another local larger company that included a three year service contract with a similar price and quoted me on A Lenox, not an American Standard Furnace. The quote also did not include permits and other requirements of city like neutralizer pump. They had itemized that price separate. I received a Carrier quote from another local large company that was competitively priced but due to a shortage was not available for immediate installation. Unfortunately, the lack of customer service caused this company a loss and a $19,000 cash loss I guess they didn’t want.

As a note, this is during the outbreak of COVID19. My water heater broke down and both myself and my girlfriend were currently working. So cold showers were not welcome after/before long shifts at the veterinary hospital. I called over to Levine & Sons as a first time customer. I was immediately helped and my questions were answered. They even told me that someone could be over in an hour to take a look. It was slightly less than an hour before Jay arrived. He practiced social distancing and was appropriately protected. He quickly got to the issue at hand and dealt with my home warranty company. My tank is already filled and warming up as I am writing this (It is already warmer than it was). I very much appreciate the help you have given me.Edit: Had a different issue (furnace stopped heating). Called tonight and was able to have a wonderful technician (Winston) come out and replace a ignition element that had blown. Might have been a 20min call max. Quick, efficient and a good guy. I will continue to use Levine and Sons due to their good quality service and high quality employees.

Called at 8am on a Saturday and had a plumber within 3 hours. There was no Emergency Services cost. Jon came and began to work immediately. They quoted us a price for the snaking and they stuck to that amount. He was done in 45 minutes and gave us his recommendation. Dylan was very good. I needed him to wait a few minutes while a finished a work call so he just hung out with my dog, petting him until I was available. Once he started working, he was quick and very efficient.

I received a prompt reply when I made my initial service call. When scheduling the appointment for me, they considered my time and came at a time that was actually beneficial to me. The best part is that they were able to come earlier than scheduled and were courteous enough to contact me to ask if I would like that. So I had them come early. My sewer pipes under the basement floor were inspected and explained in detail while the camera was exploring the sewer pipes. I unfortunately had to have them replaced, but fortunately choose to work with Levin & Sons. The crew was out the following week and completed the work quickly and cleaned every day prior to them leaving. I was only without water for a short time. They explained what they were doing and allowed me to watch freely. For such an unpleasant home repair I highly recommend using Levin & Sons!

Being a retired retired service technician it great to have someone like Jeff preforming service at my home. He is very knowledgeable & explained everything before and during the process. I have a new go to company for my problems.

Had a new toilet installed by this outfit last year. During installation, their team broke a critical base piece (flange) that cost me hundreds extra on top of what they quoted me. I was stuck as they had already removed the old toilet and broke the flange, so I bit the bullet. Sure enough, not even a year later, the toilet constantly runs after flushing. Called to have them come out to fix and they want to charge me to even come out to look at fixing their own shoddy work. I chose Levine & Sons based on the good reviews, but would I suggest you beware of any company that has this degree of poor quality and doesn't even back up their own work!

I thought i needed a pvc toilet flange busted off so that it could be lowered but the plumber said it was actually right and that the toilet simply needed to be reset on a new wax ring properly (and caulked). Technician was done in less than an hour, kind of costly but the services were great. Will contact again if needed for sure!

Called to get my boiler serviced. Lady asked me how old my boiler is and before I could answer her she asked if I am a current customer. I said no, she gave me a phone number for a different company. Apparently they aren't taking new customers with boilers? Very strange for such a large company. I guess they don't need business. Sucks because they are only like a mile away from my house. Oh well. They were hired to snake the main drain as our normal person was off with covid. Levin’s didn't bother to go the 100 ft to the street. Then told our renter there were roots in the line and there was a more significant issue. A week later, we called, and the woman on the phone stated there was a larger problem and they didn't warranty the job. I called our regular company out they fixed the issue, then used a camera to verify there was not a larger issue. Think twice before hiring.

The end work was good, and we’ve had L&S out before with no issues. However, some odd things included turning off water to the whole house instead of just the sink they were working on, then using a restroom with the water off (so he couldn’t have washed his hands), then I noticed today that the water valve for our house was only turned on half way (which is why the pipes have been so loud and our water pressure was low when running more than one faucet). It’s a ball valve so that should be pretty obvious. Lastly, they provide an itemized reciept so understanding the costs is easy, but they seemed high given we bought materials and the costs were just labor ($1000+ to install a faucet, garbage disposal and shut off valves under a sink).In the end everything works but if I wasn’t dealing with a pressing issue I’d recommend getting price comps.

Had an amazing experience with Levine & Sons, mainly because of Winston, who came out to fix our furnace. Sunday morning in mid January, but he still showed up with a great attitude and willingness to help. He identified the problem quickly and used his expertise to fix it. He went above and beyond checking other parts, cleaning them, lubricating, and providing advice along the way.Felt like he genuinely cared and was invested in our well being. Plumber installed new shutoffs. Made the hot water line shorter than before and put the escutcheon so close to wall, we are unable to move at all to place tile behind it. He did not do this to the cold water line. This made a simple project take hours longer than necessary due to specialized cuts.

I have no problem with the work performed. The 3 stars is for the $520.29 I was charged for less than 1 hour work to replace a water shut-off valve in the basement. Plus, I was charged $69.00 service charge on top of that for a total of $589.69. I have done business with Levine & sons in the past and thought that their prices were reasonable. But that has now changed and their prices are sky high. You might want to get several quotes before having them do work for you. Disappointed!

Needed a plumber during holiday. Called around, no one was answering but this company answered and plumber came out the same day. He was quick and resolved my clogged basement drain and gave suggestions. Pleased with service will call again if I need a plumber.

The D'Angelo was great! Took the time to explain what the causes of the problem were. Didn't use technical speak. Gave us an immediate fix and will follow up with a more permanent fix.It's been two days and I've not heard from them with a follow up - there is currently a hole in my basement floor. I understand if you can't get out right away, but phone call to schedule an appointment would give me piece of mind.

There would be a $69 estimate charge to cover the technician's travel and time, but the fee would be waived if we chose to go with the company.After the tech gave us estimate, we decided to let him do the installation right away. When the technician showed us the final bill, the $69 fee was not waived. We told him that I was told over the phone $69 would be waived, he played the recording of my phone conversation with the receptionist on his iPad. The recording got cut off before the receptionist and I talked about estimate fee, the estimate fee part was not recorded. I showed his the online coupon $69 fee waived. He waived the $69 fee before he left, but told us that his office might bill the $69 fee later.

The plumber said that we needed a pipe under our house replaced and charged $450. I had another plumber come fix the same issue for better and less. They also didn't follow up as they said. I'll never use them again.

Jay and Danny visited our home today to install a new power humidifier. They were timely, polite and great to work with. Jay even took the time to show me how to use thermostat because I know very little about it. Couldn't have asked for better service!

My air conditioner stoppped working last week. Upon inspection, I was told and showed the steel coils were rusted top to bottom. I had them inspect my AC unit 3 months ago as part of a yearly service I PAY them for and was told everything was fine! Now the unit is failing and needs to be replaced! I don’t think so. I am a Doctor and I am not stupid. Obviously someone did not do their job and the company will pay for this mistake one way or another. Do not recommend!

Modern communications systems and procedures; very prompt response and service; serviceman D’Angelo was knowledgeable and clever about quickly unclogging my sewer line this morning at minimal cost after another well reputed plumber failed to do so last night. Levine will receive all of my future plumbing business and recommendations to friends.

I called requesting service to install a new kitchen faucet, garbage disposal (I had already purchased these items) and to have our water generated sump pump replaced. They wouldn't give me a quote over the phone and said they had a $67 dollar service fee to come out. Once the technician was there he would provide a quote. If we didn't like the quote all we had to pay was the service fee. So I had them come out. My husband was there to greet him. They quoted us $715 (after using their $25 off coupon) that my husband thought I had already authorized. Needless to say, I paid $715 just to have a faucet and garbage disposal installed. I was fuming!!!! The technician did not have the request for my water generated pump to be looked at. Which after paying $715, I guess that ultimately was a good thing. Also the technician who came out didn't have some materials needed to complete the job. Which my husband said he gave the technician so he could finish. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone!! I feel their prices are ridiculously high!! I hope they feel taking advantage us of was worth it, because they will NEVER get my business again. I hope my review helps the next person who is in need of a plumber.

During these COVID times, contractors have long wait times. Levine and Sons had more employees and a much shorter lead time. Very Tech oriented with text message reminders, text messages letting me know that they were on there way, and very easy payment process. Spent less than an hour rebuilding a urinal valve shutoff valve.

The previous company we called said they can come on Monday (5 days after we called them). Levine & Sons was able to send someone within minutes from the phone call. Winston was prompt, professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He explained to us our options and let us know that if we needed to think about it that was perfectly fine. He was never pushy and was honest. That’s what made us go with Levine even though we found a cheaper price— Winston made the extra expense worth it. He was top knotch!!! We called around but decided to go with Winston he was on another job but we gladly waited a short time to get him for the install same day. Great tech! He’s awesome. Any future jobs we need we’re calling to request Winston. He was that good.

2020: We use Levine for our A/C, Furnace and Plumbing annual inspections. Bruce Bourton and Michael O'Neal with plumbing and Jay Amr with A/C/Furnace - are just exceptional workers! These are the type of people that you won't find with any other company as they are very honest about every single detail that they do and how they charge! I hope they won't go anywhere else as we'd follow them anywhere.Update 2023: unfortunately, Bruce retired and Michael left and Jay is only available for new installs (or he may have left as well). Unfortunately, the people that have been sent to us for the past two years have not been as professional. One last disappointment we had at our last plumbing visit where technician looked like did not know what he was doing; he was kind and polite, however when he changed the inner workings of the tank, it now takes three times as long for water to fill the tank; he changed one valve in the guest room without first asking whether we agreed to it; and he quoted $350 to change small inner part in the faucet, because old one caused leaking.Another sad incident we had was with Matthew, who worked on both A/C and Furnaces; in 2018 during A/C inspection he charged us over $500 for injecting some R-22 refrigerant in our A/C because apparently it was leaking; and then next year - he did the same because it was leaking again; in doubts, we called another company to advise and guy said to us that this guy from Levine had no idea what he was doing. Later that year, Matthew was let go by Levine as they most likely found out about his unprofessional conduct. In A/C inspections in the following years - no other technician would speak about refrigerant leak - meaning, we did not have any issue in the first place.After similar unprofessional behaviors by other technicians for HVAC system, we decided to no longer renew our family plan and seek other specialists.One good thing about this company that has been good from the beginning is the good customer service when you call in - those ladies are great!

Complete trash. Tech came and tried to snake the main. Said he would call his supervisor and they would come back to see why snake didn't work fully. Charged me $200 for absolutely nothing. 6 months later and numerous phone calls later, they never came back like they said they would more than once. Drain flies all over. Simply a trash company. Lesson learned.

First I would like to say the plumber was friendly and did an excellent job. With that said I will never use Levine and Sons again. My parents have an event this weekend so I wanted their toilet rebuilt I paid 542.00 for 1 toilet rebuild. I had two in my house rebuilt recently and paid 340.00. I know I was overcharged but what was I to do they needed it done their senior citizens. Even though I’m not wealthy. I don’t argue over money because if they did me wrong because I am a child of God he will surely handle it.For that I could have paid a couple dollars more and replace d to toilet. God Will surely handle this if there was any malice so it’s not worth me getting upset. The Devil 👿 is a liar!!!

Hello. I was driving my son to school this morning, and one of your trucks was driving reckless. Now i know time is of the essence, but he was tring to pass on the exit ramp. Pushed me over to the shoulder and also tried to pass oothers from the shoulder. He could have caused a nasty accident. I drive that way everyday and never seen anything like what he was doing. Maybe having a bad day, but he needs to take more care.

Tell you that there are problems you don't have.The workers were very friendly and pleasant to have around. When one of the owners came out, we magically had a new problem that was very expensive to repair. With a second opinion, we found that this isn't a big issue.The owner where I work had them come out. It was doom and gloom. A plumbing problem occurred at my home on a Sunday, so called several businesses looking for emergency service to no avail. Anyway, the next day my Mom gave me a few numbers to try. This company stood out on yelp as having the best reviews, so i scheduled a same day appointment. Conner arrived a short time later and did an excellant job! He resolved two drain clog issues (the basement and the kitchen sink), so it was well worth the cost. I previously paid two other plumbers to do exactly what Conner did, and it wasnt done right, so got ripped off. I will always contact Levine and Sons before I call anyone else, and you should too!👍

Mike was fantastic. We originally called to have the hot and cold taps replaced (an urgent need before we could have the washer hooked up, according to the appliance delivery guy from the day before). When Mike arrived, he was very honest with us and said that there was nothing wrong with the taps and they didn't need to be replaced. Then, he went above and beyond to help us with the install of our new washer and dryer (a service he was not originally sent to look into). He even called a colleague over to get the appliance into the house. He even took time to look at our hot water heater (again, something he wasn't originally sent to do). We are very happy with Levine and the service Mike provided. 😀

David came to my house on time and performed a thorough (although limited due to not having full access to the pipes) inspection provided me with multiple solutions for my leaking handles and faucets in my shower/tub. Once I am able to get an access panel cut into my wall I plan on contacting David again for a follow up.

These guys are the WORST AND Unprofessional. I called them and said my sump pump is constantly running and said i need service to repair the PUMP ( Switch was the issue) and i asked for estimate. They said they will look and provide estimate for service.I already knew Switch was the issue . They came home and did not do any diagnosis and said that they do not do any repairs and i have to replace the whole thing. JUST TO SAY THIS THEY CHARGE 69$. cant they tell this on phone?OTher companies ARE MUCH MORE PROFESSIONAL and tell upfront whether they do service or not .The guy who came home said the fee is waived . But i am constantly getting harassed from Theresa to pay . i cannot be cheated. She refuses to connect me with manager or owner and demands and threatens me.

They charged $69 for just a visit, this amount is in addition to the service. I had a 317 (plus 69 for visit) for replacing the basket strainer of the sink, they didn't have the part and when I asked why it was so expensive the person said because of the name of the company and pointed his logo. He could not articulate any valid reason besides that one.I called a different company, a friendly person came, had the part ready and fix the leak in 45 minutes. I paid $150 part included.So I ended up having a bad experience, and paid $69 just for a crazy quote and bad service.Way to go for this company!

I cannot say enough good things about all of the folks at Levine & Sons.Back in March/April, I had a pretty big sump pump issue that was causing me a lot of grief, and after getting several scammy basement waterproofer companies out, who all quoted me $15,000+, I decided to have a plumber come look instead as a last ditch effort. Ron came out, and was incredibly kind throughout the whole dilemma. They gave me a big range of solutions, kept it straight with me, and it always felt like they really wanted to solve my problem. I even had Bill Levine himself calling me to work with an out-of-the-box solution to see if that would do the trick. Being able to actually talk to one of the owners blew me away, and really impressed me that he was so interested in solving my issue.Eventually, I opted for a complete sump pump replacement, water back-up system replacement, and general sump plumbing system upgrade so that everything was up to code. The work was done in way less time than I thought it would, and I feel far more confident in the work that was done by L&S as opposed to what I felt I would get from waterproofer guys. Tony and his crew did a phenomenal job replacing the sump pump, and Chris, in prep of this sump pump replacement, did a great job flushing out my waterproofing system (and now it doesn't need to be replaced and works great).We've also had them out to take a look at a shower handle replacement, which was done by a very kind gentleman whose name I didn't catch. He spent maybe 20 minutes showing my partner how to get it installed, which was very helpful for the future, and only charged us a small fee for the parts.And, (unfortunately for me) I also needed an AC repair done today; I called last night after hours, where they have a 24/7 crew answering calls. I was afraid I wouldn't get someone for a couple days since it's hot and I can understand these days get busy, but they told me they'd have someone out the next day around 2 pm. Eric showed up, a little early to boot, and was very friendly and kind in getting the capacitor replaced on my unit. He showed me how to do some routine cleaning and maintenance, which I really value.Overall, I would recommend Levine & Sons to anybody in the metro Detroit area. I feel I've had enough correspondence and work done by them to know that I can trust them, and that their work is high quality. My sump pump went out over the weekend after a heavy rain. I called Levine And Sons, and they were out first thing Monday morning. The tech, D’Angelo Berrios, arrived at the scheduled time. He was very professional. He showed me exactly what was wrong, and what he needed to do step-by-step. He also took pictures of everything. I purchased an upgraded sump pump. Mine was over 10 years old. He also suggested that my older sump pump pit should be cleaned. He made the pit look brand new to go with the new pump! He really took the time to explain things. Sink sprung a leak at 1am and flooded into the basement where the drywall ceiling collapsed. Called the emergency line at 2am and left a message. Got a call back at 7:30am and a plumber was out at 9am. Fixed the leak and found a pipe that was corroding and would have caused a major issue if not addressed. Our plumber, Mike, was great. He explained everything that was going on, explained the pricing, timeline, answered all of our questions and put us at ease.Within about 2 hours the leak was fixed, the pipe was repaired, and a new water shut off valve head was in place. The cost was half of what we expected and the response time was unbeatable. On top of that Mike put us in contact immediately with a mitigation company to help with the dry out to prevent mold and clean up the mess. That company’s tech called us within half an hour to say they’d be out that afternoon. The mitigation company has been extremely helpful as well, including how to properly file an insurance claim without running into the common pitfalls. I would never have known the right company to call if not for Levine’s relationship with them.Mike and his office team were excellent and we have referred them to friends already! Heard of a friend with a kitchen leak and damage and immediately sent them Levine’s number.

We moved into a new house and when I hooked up our dryer something didn’t smell right, and I could smell gas anytime I opened the valve. Our house inspection also noted we might need the line to the dryer replaced. So I decided I needed someone who knew what they were doing. Levine and sons responded right away to my online inquiry, and had a tech out the next morning. Matt was great, and even worked around my schedule. He came in and in 15 minutes everything was solved and he answered all my questions pertaining to the line. They didn’t charge and arm or leg either. Will rely on them in the future!

You wake up in the morning and surprise NO HOT WATER. To my pleasant surprise shortly after my call you showed with a new water heater. The service technician Dylan was very professional while explaining the problems with my heater. Did I mentioned that he wore foot protection and laid covers on the floor to protect it from any water leaks. This made my aunt very happy.

Scott, the plumber is a genuine professional, who answered all of my questions. He was able to auger my main bathroom toilet and share some tips on where calcification can occur and how to clean it. He was very efficient and I am extremely happy with the service. I learned that the company is quite large which is why I was able to get a next day appointment. Most other places were booked weeks out. Scott did have an emergency job before mine so he didn't get to me within my scheduled window time. I messaged the company and they responded quickly that he was on his way. So my only suggestion is that they reach the client with an update if they know their service person will be running behind. Other then that all was great and I was so thankful that they were able to get me in so quickly. 5 Star rating for Great service!!!! Thank you. 🤗

The technician who came to look at our plumbing issue quickly assessed what was going on and let us know that we would hear back from the company soon as to when another associate would be coming out to further assess what work we needed done. They sent a technician, D'Angelo, to my house to unclog a drain that was backing up into my kitchen sink. They texted me to let me know he was on his way and he arrived on time. He wore a mask the entire time he was in my home and completed the job quickly and cleaned up when he was done. He also tested his work before he left to make sure the problem was resolved. The cost was affordable and in line with other plumbers for the same type of service.

Anthony did an amazing job to solve our issue with water pooling in basement. He was able to find the storm drain to clean out roots and snake it out. In the past no one else from other companies knew to do what he did. I would highly recommend Levine and Sons over anyone else around! These guys are amazing !!

I have used this business for two other jobs over the past few years; however this particular time, I feel will be my last. I schedule an appointment for someone to come out and investigate my leaking faucet on my archaic cement utility sink. As expected, it needed replacing which I was in accepting to. Mike C. obviously had to return another day with parts, so it was scheduled a week later. After finishing up my first appointment and exiting my home, he made a comment about “getting my screen door fixed.” I don’t appreciate comments about my home that are not related to the reason one was called out for. Now for the second part, the deconstruction and removal of my old sink and installation of the new. Everything went to plan: he completed the job and I paid. After cleaning up small debris he missed, and cleaning up the new sink I found it was leaking. I also noticed that the washing machine hoses were on the wrong pipes AND he had labeled one with a “H” but labeled it incorrectly. I called and he came back a few hours later to change out a gasket and switch the hoses. One was leaking and apparently NOW is in need of replacing. While he was doing all that, I happened to step outside and go to my garage, when I noticed blue plastic on my walkway leading to my driveway AND in a 4 ft area where he had parked his van prior in the driveway. After he finished and everything seemed legit, I watched to see if he would clean up the same blue chunks that led to my backdoor or not, and he just walked past. Debris is to be expected, but I have a dog and if she stepped on one of those large, jagged pieces of blue plastic, I would have been furious. I cleaned it up. These are the reasons why I will not be doing further business with Levine & sons. Only if there are new issues with this sink, will I be calling again.

On one of the coldest evenings of the 2022 season we realized the furnace was not heating. A quick inspection resulted in a call to Levine and Son’s 24 Hr hot line. I paid twice as much a few years ago and got 1/100 the service of Levine & Sons. They are on my A+ list of contractors, a very small list. They were great and went the extra 5 miles.

The service contacted me within 30 min of my request for evaluation. They scheduled me at a convenient time per my schedule and when I got out of work early, they were able to push my appointment to earlier. The Service person was friendly and immediately identified the issue. He fixed the problem and offered any additional plumbing services if needed. They did an excellent job!

I purchased new pipes for my house through L&S last year. The team was polite and did quality work and have been happy to recommend them to others. Recently, a leak sprung where the new piping met my ancient water meter. I called Levine and they immediately sent someone out even though it was after 3 p.m. that day and I later learned they were fully booked up. The technician tightened the connection and stopped the leak, told me a couple of possibilities of what caused it and that I need to have the city come over and inspect the meter, and then refused payment and went off on his way. They wouldn’t let me pay for their time as it was said to be part of their service of the original installation. Later, the city came by and confirmed it was the old gasket breaking on their meter and replaced it. I highly appreciated the professionalism by Levine and their prompt service. And you can’t beat their unexpected repair service price of “free” six months after the pipes were installed!

OKAY YALL!! I HAVE to give a absolute huge shout out to Levine and Sons!! They replaced a pipe under my house that had pretty much crumbled. Every single worker that was at my house went above and above to explain what was happening every day and tried everything in their power to make the whole thing smooth and easy for me (since I was having my living room and foundation dug out lol). They were in and out within a day and a half. Even they’re office staff was beyond wonderful to work with!! ☺️HIGHLY recommend them for anything you need, heating, cooling, plumbing, truly cannot say enough good things about them.

I was so impressed. I had a leak from my upstairs bathroom into my kitchen. I was not strong enough to turn the knob to shut off the water on the toilet so I had to shut off the main water supply to the house. After trying all day, they were the only company that could come sooner than 2 weeks. I was originally scheduled for an after hours more expensive time. But I received a call early this morning and they could come out during business hours which saved me a lot of money. Then I received a couple of calls and texts through the day letting me know where they stood squeezing me in. Scott got to my house at about 2:15 and quickly diagnosed the problem. He also fixed a disposal problem I had while he was here. He was able to shut off the water to the toilet and turn my water back on. He then gave me a very fair estimate for further work that needs to be done. I’m am looking forward to scheduling the additional work but am so grateful I can take a shower in the meantime. My blower on the furnace stopped the other day, so, no AC coming through the vents. I called Levine and they were out the next day. Turns out it was probably a problem with the electric service. Chaim was thorough in his inspection, and very honest about the pros and cons of different systems. We will probably replace our old ac and furnace and most likely will use Levine and Sons.

David was a seasoned, professional…courteous and on time. He answered all of my questions and went right to work on a tough job (old rusted laundry faucet with old utility tub). I would highly recommend. The cost was more than I had budgeted but well worth the money knowing it was done right with the best materials!

Winston installed a new water heater and updated the valve to our furnace humidifier. Very professional, efficient, and all around nice guy. Left the house very clean and made sure all the faucets had the air blown out once the water was back on. We called and left a msg.on the Sunday after Christmas when our 20-yr-old water heater developed a leak. They came out to assess the situation the next day and we had our new water heater installed by 4:00 on Tuesday.

My experience was mixed. My technician, Dylan, was polite and professional and made for a positive experience overall. However, the original arrival time was supposed to be 1100 hours, yet Dylan arrived around 1400 hours. This wasn’t a problem for me as I’m well aware that these things never stay on schedule. The problem was that Levine and Sons never provided any services updates. It wasn’t until I contacted them around 1230 hours that I learned that the technician would arrive somewhere in the 1400-1500 hours range instead of the original 1100 hours. So, while Dylan was great, Levine and Sons itself needs to improve its communication with customers.

Called them to replace a water heater that died the previous night. They were out by noon and had a new unit installed by late afternoon at a reasonable price.Courteous, very professional; I would highly recommend them.

I initially called Roto Rooter which was a huge mistake. Kept postponing my appointment for 3 days. Cancelled and called Levine and they sent a technician the same day on a Sunday.
