After trying to solve our upstairs bathroom sink drain issue ourselves and winding up with an additional problem (snake stuck in pipes!) on a Sunday during the pandemic, I called Saffer Plumbing. Add my voice to the choir singing Saffer Plumbing’s praises! WOW WOW WOW! In under ten minutes, Chris came to our house to assess the situation and five minutes later, snake unstuck and drain unclogged! Our 1920 bathtub was seriously clogged and needed all new 'inner works' to be usable again. Saffer Plumbing fixed this professionally, and did a great job.

We suddenly had a backed up kitchen drain all the way into the basement. It was Sunday night right before Labor Day. They sent a guy on call and he was here in 35 minutes. Jason Gallano went right to work identify the problem and stayed approximately 2-1/2 hours until everything was fixed completely. We are very appreciative. Jason was cool and calm, very efficient, knowledgeable and exceedingly polite.

Amazing! Called in the morning because of pipe leaking in basement. Steve there early afternoon. Fixed though coming back with a small part for shower handle. Great guys, fast, efficient service. Because of that I bought a service plan!

I had THREE different plumbers from Saffer come to look at my leaky shower, including the owner. I paid them to replace some of the grout, which did not fix the problem. They then tell me that I have to rip out the entire shower to replace the pan underneath my tile, and of course quote me on the project.Only when I looked at it myself did I figure out that the only problem was the CAULK in the bottom corner.They attempted to get me to spend over $5,000 when the problem was solved by a $5.99 tube of caulk. Terrible. Terrible...

Months ago they came in to adhere a aluminum hose for my dryer. They charged us $400. For a $14.00 part . Am still mad.

Never gave me a receipt, I call 2-3 times each time the response is, I will let accounting know, my service was a week ago still nothing . I’ve had 2 other types of service done in my home with different companies the recipient were in my income the same day.

Today, Jeremiah (electrician) installed a new 240v outlet. The appliance guys made issues with it, and Jeremiah came back the same day to fix everything and installed the appliance. The Plumbers sent by Saffer, Rick Wright and Mike, were very good. Our bathtub drain was extremely slow and, after looking at it, Rick determined that the cast iron drain pipe was the cause. The old drain pipe was removed and replaced. The tub now drains freely. Rick and Mike did their work quickly and cleaned up completely when the job was done. We are very satisfied with their work and the service that Saffer has provided over the years.

I had a sudden and serious emergency, and a very tight schedule in which I couldn't miss work. They were able and willing to rearrange the call schedule to fit me in, which was clearly not easy, but saved the day for us. Super professional as well.

We had some issues with previous work. Bam came out and took a look at what was going on and quickly diagnosed the issue. He then recommended Rick as the Lead Tech to help repair the problem and I was able to get an appointment within a few days (since it was not an emergency). Rick and Bam answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns. They were friendly and professional. Also, while completing the work they tested everything multiple times to assure things were working smoothly. I think it is important to point out how well they work together, since this makes a big difference in their work as well as the customer's comfort. Maintenance of a whole home water filtration system. Johnny showed me how to properly replace the filter in the future, since the OE (Aquasana) was not adequately able to walk me through on the phone. I appreciated that he got us up and running again and taught me how I could do it myself in the future.

We needed some last minute plumbing upgrades and repairs before the sale of a house and Saffer Plumbing, Heating and Electrical stepped in and got everything fixed for us. We really appreciated it.

I ended up have four things fixed and they were done without delay and everything is working well.I honestly don't know about the value since I did not make the time to get an estimate from other companies. I went with Saffer because of plenty of friends I trust who recommended them. Also it hasn't been long, so the value will be determined, in part, when i see how long everything lasts.

I've called on Saffer many, many times over the years for issues and projects at our 90-year-old home in Baltimore City. I can't recommend them enough. They're professional, on-time, they always back up their work (on the rare occasion when a follow up visit was needed). You can have confidence in them.

When our basement flooded due to an old underground pipe busting and leaking through our floor. We called several places and the only affordable one was Saffer! When Steve came out he told us what was wrong right away AND brought up another fix that needed to be done before it turned into a problem as well. When he came back with help to due the job, they were very respectful of the property and us! Will definitely recommend and use again!The only issue was wait time to due the job, but you can't be upset at small family run business with too many customers!

I wasn't sure how much it would cost to replace our gas hot water heater. They were on time, straight forward, clean and knowledgeable. All in all they did a great job. Price was a touch higher than I thought, but it was presented prior to the work being done. Very satisfied

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU HAVE REPAIR, ASK FOR THE DETAILED PRICE OF EACH ACCESSORY!!Our hot water boiler has an issue during Christmas Holiday, and we waited a few days later after the holiday so that we should be able to get a “normal reasonable service fee”. However, we were still getting a very bad experience.We figured out there are some issues with the boiler gas valve. The technician arrived and identified like what our thoughts. He said the problems are the gas valve and its connected accessories to the burner, and he charged $396 to replace them. My husband thought the technician is going to replace the valve and connected accessories, and the charge of $396 included a gas valve, accessories, and labor fee, so he agreed with the charge.The technician started to replace the thermocouple in the first place, and it turns out the boiler is alive. So he did not change the gas valve. But eventually, he still charged $396. It takes less than 20 minutes to fix the problem. The material of a thermocouple is only $11.5 on Amazon, but he still charged $396.The charge of $396 is way too much. And I wrote an email to complain about this issue to Saffer. But they ignore it without any response.They ask me to write a review. Here I am.Do not be cash cows like us. Even the review of Saffer is good. Do not too trust what they said. Ask for a detailed charge including every piece of accessories with their labor fee.Do not be cash cows like us.Updated. They won't tell you in advance that they charge $396 on Xmas holiday, they said on-site estimate only....Not to mention, we asked service on normal day!!They won't reply your complaint email...

Could have charged me for a new sump pump but just fixed the switch.

We had our line cleaned out twice by another company and told us we needed to spend $20k on a new line. We got a send opinion from Saffer Plumbing. After taking camera footage, they showed us that there were still significant roots, a bolt, and a pvc cover in our line. They recommended sewer jetting, which we agreed to do. Afterwards the line was completely clean, like you could see red terracotta again and the roots were obliterated. You could tell the line was in great shape and they said with herbicide treatment we would no longer need to replace out line. Cost for the jetting was about $2k. I should also note these guys were super nice, answered all of our questions, and gave a lot of practical advice.

Prompt, professional, courteous accurate

Very professional company. First tech couldn’t fix my issue and claimed I needed to pay them more for further investigation; but the owner made sure that wasn’t needed and another tech DID fix my problem. Company is a little higher priced than most, but they really do carry a lot of value with their product. They will come same day on a Sunday if you need, and call center is easy to use and get ahold of. You’re not sent to a voicemail.

The technician recommended a better alternative in order to save me money in the future. New service was only about $150 more, but it will be much better in the long run!

I had not used Saffer Plumbing in the past, but when my sump pump went up last weekend, they couldn't have been more responsive and fantastic. I called mid-day Saturday, they picked right up, and had a tech out within 40 minutes who was extremely professional. Their online quoting process was clear and concise not to mention extremely easy to sign off on remotely since I was not in the home at the time. Payment was also straightforward after the job was complete. The new pump is working great! After using multiple of the big guys I couldn't have been more impressed and will definitely use them again.

My water heater started to leak on a weekend and I called Saffer, they came out the same day fixed the water heater and charged me next to nothing for an emergency call. I used other big name plumber before on emergency calls and they charge 5- 10 times more. Saffer also came out to replace a sewage injector for me, they did the work efficiently and again at very honest fair rate. I highly recommend Saffer Plumbing & heating

Everything about my first experience with Saffer was exemplary. I received a call letting me know my technician was 15 minutes away, and arrival afterwards was prompt. Service was friendly and excellent. My issue actually turned out to be a very simple one that could be fixed with the push of a button. My wife and I recently moved into a new home and had some issues with our water pressure. We contacted Saffer and they came out to do an assessment. It turns out that there are multiple issues involved, some were problems in the home and some involved issues on the city's side. They came out the next day to fix the issues in our home and did an excellent job. They also coached me on how best to deal with the city to get things resolved on their end. Excellent service, highly recommended.

My water heater started leaking last year. Saffer were able to quote on the job based on just a photograph of the previous heater. They helped me choose a high quality, compatible replacement with longer warranty. The installers were punctual, friendly & did a great job. They consulted with me about what to do about water damage caused by previous leak and adapted the installation accordingly. The price was also very fair. I recommend them without hesitation.

Plumber David Robinson actually cleaned my tub drain. I say actually, because other people have said they cleaned the drain, but I don't ever think they got out the crud that David got out. He brought in the big guns and worked hard for over an hour. He took me to look at the finished job. My tub has never drained this fast in 25 years. And he cleaned the tub, better than I do for sure.

Saffer diagnosed and repaired a major issue with my home boiler system that caused a major leak. They responded quickly, provided excellent and knowledgeable service at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend and will always use Saffer from now on.

Dave came out to solve my hose bib valve problem. Another plumber recommended removing paneling to fix the inside valve. Dave was able to replace the valve without disturbing my walls. He was very meticulous and competent. This is a terrific business with wonderfully skilled plumbers. I highly recommend Saffer.

The total time spent on this job is 45 mins. I got charged $419 for the whole thing. We are talking about a 800 sq ft house with new pipes. The house is completely remodeled. There was no leak to repair. The bathroom floors do need to be replaced. Seriously??? $419 for a 45 mins. job.

I called Saffer Plumbing when the water heater at our Veterinary facility was no longer working. We came in and noticed water on the floor and called immediately for help. They were very friendly on the phone and advised that someone would be out that afternoon. Not only did they come out that afternoon, they were earlier than expected and they replaced the water heater the same day! The service was excellent and I would highly recommend Saffer for your plumbing needs!

Saffer was out to fix a leaky tub a few months ago. I called again this morning because it was starting to leak again. Although even I could see that the new leak was unrelated to the original problem, they did not charge me. Highly recommend Tim Ramsburg.

I am impressed with this company! Shout out to Bob and his partner who came out and replaced the main valve and two valves under the sink in my bathroom that broke off causing a massive flood. They restored water to home. They were courteous, friendly, and adroit in their work. The price was affordable. I am so glad to have found this company in Baltimore Magazine. Updating my updated review to say that Saffer continues to be a great resource for both plumbing and electrical. We've used them for both types of work several times now, across two different houses and have only had good experiences. Our most recent visit was from Brandon and Chuck, who did a great job getting our sewer line clear. The office staff are helpful too.====Updating my original review to say that we used them again for a sewer line issue and they did another great job and are still very easy to work with. They are our go-to plumbers and they will be our first call for HVAC or electrical if/when the need arises.====They did a great job. I needed a washer/dryer hookup installed in a somewhat unusual spot. Another company took a look and said it couldn't be done, but Saffer was able to do some problem solving and come up with a workable plan. On the day of the job, the crew arrived and went right to work, executing the plan well. They got it done in the specified time frame and price, and so far (3 months later) the work is holding up well. The office staff was pretty easy to work with as well. It was not cheap, but good work never is.

I needed Saffer plumbing to do a little out of the ordinary job for me. In my kitchen I wanted to have my electric wall ovens removed and replaced with a washer/dryer combo. I had explained this to another plumbing company before I called Saffer Plumbing. And they didn't want to do it. Saffer plumbing had the courtesy to send one of their plumbers to my home to know if they would accept the job. Plumbers Rick and Bam checked out my unusable request and told me it can be done. Rick worked up a reasonable estimate that I accepted. Job was promptly started, plumbers Rick and Bam took on a very challenging job that was completed in 3 days, and a great job they did. SAFFER PLUMBING and their crew will be the only plumbing company I call with a problem.

I called them regarding a leaking pipe in my basement and they came 30 minutes later, examined the problem, gave a no-cost estimate, and then completed the work in the next hour. They charged $987 for a job that took 1.5 hours + about $50-60 of parts. They absolutely refused to adjust it. I'm furious that they tried to justify it by saying other jobs have taken longer - and I should pay for many hours of labor because it took longer in somebody else's house.

We’ve used Saffer several times over the years and had excellent service. Yesterday was no exception. We had the pleasure of Mr. Lee Simmons coming out to look at our clogged kitchen sink. Within moments he diagnosed the problem and had the drain unclogged in less than an hour. The cost was surprisingly reasonable, especially compared to another plumber we used for a similar situation. I was very disappointed with my experience with Saffer. I scheduled for them to install new kitchen appliances and disconnect old ones. The workers arrived on time and assessed the job, then gave me an estimate that I found to be extremely high. They quoted a price of $2,300 that was more than I even paid for the appliances. I was shocked! Then I was told that they wouldn't even be able to do the job that day because they were only allotted 2 hours for a job that would take 4 or 5 hours, and they were swamped with a lot of other work. As far as I was concerned, when I made the appointment 2-1/2 weeks prior, we had a commitment to complete the installation that day if I agreed on the estimated price. They knew the information about the 4 appliances and what would be required. But based on the high price quote, the non-commitment to doing the work on the scheduled day, and potentially having to wait a couple of weeks with appliances sitting in my living room, I did not reschedule with them and found someone else to do it. I also was surprised by one of the worker's angry response when I kindly asked if he would please move his van. He was parked 2 doors down in my neighbor's parking spot, and we all try to be considerate about each other's parking spaces. I suggested that he park in the open spot directly in front of my house since it would be more convenient for him too. He looked upset that I would ask him to move it, and then he drove fast and angry to a spot across the street and 2 door down in the other direction. He said this way I won't bother anyone. This made no sense since the spot in front of my house was wide open for him, but I dropped it. Anyway, I was just so surprised to have such a bad experience when Saffer's reviews have seemed good, and people often recommend them. It was so upsetting to plan on an installation and then find that the work couldn't happen (even if I had agreed to the price). I was left in the lurch, with appliances blocking my living room and no other known resources at the time.UPDATE:Chris Saffer, Thank you for your response. I appreciate your apology and the fact that you have chosen to take my experience as an opportunity for improvement and teaching for your staff, and that you did not just take a defensive approach. This speaks well for your professionalism and integrity, which is what I originally expected because that's what I heard from your previous customers. I'm glad to hear that my experience is not your usual manner of business. Regarding my appointment today, I don't know how that got scheduled. I did not do it. I saw a confirmation email last night and responded to it, but one of your guys showed up at 7:30 this morning. I explained what happened to him and that my appliances have already been installed by someone else.

We needed an outlet installed for a bunch of plumbing work that had to be done ASAP. Because our plumbing was so time sensitive, saffer reworked his schedule to come out and complete the job the very next day ON A SATURDAY! Very professional and prompt would recommend. Brent showed up and explained everything and brought up costs on his tablet so I knew what the total would be and I am very satisfied with the work Brent did.

They provide free estimates, so I had them come out and look at a bad valve. They showed up on time, provided a price (a bit higher than hoped, but any plummer work seems to be) to which I agreed to. Work was performed promptly and neatly.

I was able to get my broken hot water heater, which was leaking all over the basement, repaired same day. Christopher Archer and Chad Knowles came out, pointed out what had failed, explained the condensation, and explained exactly what they'd need to do and how it affected the cost - I needed a gas valve moved and some lines cleaned up as any new tank would be bigger and sit to the side of where the old one was. They were professional, courteous and quick and talked me through the best options. I'd be happy to use them again.

Incredible service! I called Monday morning at 7am and by 12pm I had a new water heater fully installed! Earl/Frank came out within an hour of my call despite being short staffed. This was my first experience with Saffer Plumbing and I'm delighted! Chris and Brook did an excellent job. I especially appreciated that Chris explained everything to me very clearly. What’s worse than learning BGE has shut off the gas supply to your home due to a leak? Learning you won’t have heat, hot water, or a functional stove or dryer until you find a plumber who can fix the leak.I had little doubt Saffer was the right business to call. A plumber came out after hours to fix a leak under a bathroom sink. Was professional, cognizant of not getting dirt in my house, did an excellent job and even found a way to complete the repair without having to cut into the wall. After using Saffer a long time ago, we received a 1,200 bill for work they did not do. I called to let them know and after asking a bunch of questions (implying that maybe we had work done and I didn't know about it?) the person said they would look into it. When I didn't hear back, I assumed it was taken care of. Just received a second notice in the mail. When I called, I was again treated to a bunch of questions, put on hold for a long time, etc. And they still can't figure it out. I understand making a mistake the first time (everybody makes mistakes), but they should have worked this out after the first call (and called or written to let me know). Not planning to use Saffer ever again and hope I can get taken out of their system so I won't get any more bills for phantom plumbing.

I have used Saffer Plumbing twice, first to replace a water heater and the second to clear a drain line. Both were done quickly and efficiently and for what I have found to be reasonable costs.

This is my 2nd time using Saffer Plumbing. My first experience with Christian was fantastic and allowed me to check off some plumbing to-dos and upgrades that had come up on my inspection as well as a sewer pipe scope on my older house so I could plan accordingly for upcoming to-dos. My 2nd experience was just as great with Brooke and Logan doing a whole house plumbing inspection and determining that the pipe calcifications had worsened since Christian’s visit and was very close to being completely impassable so they completed a flex shaft pipe cleaning that averted disaster. I definitely will use Saffer again for my plumbing needs.

We had a leaking faucet that we couldn't turn off the supply line, after hours. Within ½ an hour Jack was here shutting off the supply lines. He then provided an estimate for what needed to be done to replace the faucet. We got on the schedule quickly and the supply valves and a new faucet were installed to our satisfaction. All in all, a good experience.

An electrician came to discuss with me the replacement of 16 failing fluorescent bulbs and light fixtures and to give an estimate. He arrived again a week later with an assistant and they replaced the 16 old lights and fixtures with 9 new LED fixtures for the basement. It now looks bright and the lighting is excellent. I got a senior discount as well as a discount for payment up front. The price was reasonable and the work was excellent.

I saw good reviews of Saffer Plumbing on the Parkville MD Facebook page. I called to get an estimate to have a hose bib relocated. David Robinson was out with the hour. He gave me a fair price and said the job could be done immediately. He put down tarps in the basement and on the first floor where the work occurred. The work required him to cut pieces of drywall. The cuts were neat, and were patched with plastic for another contractor to repair, as agreed. The shop brought him materials, so he never left my home.When the job was finished in the afternoon, the basement and the first floor were completely cleaned. David answered all of my questions and was a pleasure to work with.

I have needed to call Saffer twice recently. Both times they came out and did a free inspection; once of a water problem in my basement- thought it was the furnace, and another water problem with my shower. Both times, it turned out to that I didn’t need service. I was most grateful for the free evaluation and opinion. I doubt anyone else would have the expertise to diagnose either issue as they were. Our 34-year-old boiler started short cycling, and another company and a private contractor said we needed to replace it. It was too expensive to fix, they told us. Then the guys from Saffer came over, quickly figured out the problem, and the replacement part we needed was only $100. Saffer's guys said we had another good few years with this boiler. It was such a relief. They're trustworthy and reasonably priced. I can't recommend them enough.

Satisfied with faucet replacement which was a bit more than just replacement. The laundry tub had to moved so the old faucet could be removed and replaced. I felt the price was fair.

This was an inspection of the entire plumbing system in the house. They pointed out what was right, what was wrong, and gave recommendations for how to correct the concerns. While they were there, they corrected the water pressure which was too high and capped off a gas line, which was not in use. Several options were given for improving the system.

Very happy with the Saffer plumber (Chris Archer) who helped resolve our issues. Chris' initial assessment proved to be correct (toilet drain clog w/ broken wax seal) and he was nimble to overcome the fact that we had no wax seal, but a grout seal under our toilet. He also diagnosed that our older toilet jets were clogged and leading to our lack of head pressure on flushes. He was able to quickly procure a replacement toilet and get it properly installed. While waiting for the new toilet to arrive, we asked him to diagnose a leaky faucet and his assumption was either a broken seal or stem crack. It was a cracked stem and he was also able to quickly procure a new faucet and install it. Can't say enough about his ability to clearly explain plumbing equipment and how things are or are not working. He was personable, knowledgeable and kept a clean work area. Will definitely turn to Saffer again for any future plumbing needs. Hopefully, not any time soon, though!

I have used Saffer several times and all I can say for myself is color me impresses. These guys came in whenever I have had an issue and fixed it immediately. The excavation guy Frank came to my house earlier based on Chris referral to see what my water issue was in order to create an estimate or invoice, however, after he came upstairs i was in the bathroom and so he took it upon himself to begin reading my personal document i had on my kitchen counter, which so happened to be an estimate from another company. Frank then decided to get very upset and threw a tantrum at me so to speak because i asked him to not read my personal documents. He had no right to pick up and read anything in my home but his explanation was that he wanted to see what other folks said about the water. Yet i asked him isn't he an expert? Why does he need someone else's estimate to discover his own opinon. He then went on to say i am now chastising him. Which is absolutely absurd. I don't know if he maybe having a bad day or maybe he goes in every customer home and read their personal documents. That is WRONG. he then walked out and provided me no estimate or invoice or opinon regarding the issue because he was in the wrong.

Cost of new toilet was abt 200 more than I expected. Also I wasn't told it was larger bowl until after installation. But otherwise professional and responsive.

Saffer does a great job as always. They recently came out and replaced my shower faucet and shower head, and the job was done quickly and professionally.

UPDATE: Unbelievably expensive post-pandemic pricing. i just wanted my leaking garbage disposal replaced, which meant taking out one and putting in one that I bought. No extra electrical or plumbing work needed. I can do it myself, but I'm old and installation requires upper body strength and agility, so get someone else to do it, right? $600! It would have been $800 if they provided the disposal. Luckily, I still have a replacement in storage, which I will be installing myself if necessary.Saffer was highly recommended on Nextdoor, and 3 years ago I agreed that their service was on time and cost-effective. Not so now. I will no longer be using them for future minor plumbing projects.

I called for help with my pump - low water pressure. Nick was the plumber, he called to confirm, showed up on time and was very professional and courteous. He went out of his way to explain the issues to me. He thought that it could have an electrical problem. He got a hold of Jerry (electrical) who stopped by a little while later to confirm his concerns. Nick is ordering the parts that are needed and will get back to me to install them. Yeah!!!!

I'm never using another plumber. They fixed my clog issue (where I may have been looking at a dig that would have cost upwards of $25,000) with ease. I have recently used them again to install a gas oven. These guys are true pros and have an excellent customer service staff.

After returning home from a weekend trip, I noticed the boiler was not engaging with my thermostat. I called Saffer as I often see the colorful vans throughout Baltimore City. Chris came over on the same day (my heat had been out for almost 24 hours), and while the problem was not immediately evident as to why my heat wouldn't come on, Chris enlisted another tech, Jerry, who happened to be close by. Jerry came in the house, and noticed that the emergency switch had been turned off accidentally. While it was a silly small thing, both gentlemen were gracious and understanding that accidents happen - and that only professionals know what to look for (I certainly didn't)!! I'll DEFINITELY call Saffer in the future for any heating or plumbing need. They were good humored and understanding!!

Attached gas line when previous contractor didn’t attach properly & I had a gas leak. Capped off live socket also done by previous contractor. Installed 2 small heaters in kitchen & one in bathroom. Have fixed drains before ‘ installed toilet. I have been using them for a number of years.

I had Saffer fix a toilet issue and problem solve gurgling from my pipes. Josh was very professional, quick, and able to provide info as to what was happening. I do think their pricing is above average, but in return, you get high-end quality work and technicians very experienced with Baltimore row homes like mine that are 125+ years old. That's definitely a comfort for me. They are someone I would trust for emergency work, and my only critique would be to get a second quote before non-emergencies to double check on price. But this is a very good company and absolutely worth your consideration.

I called yesterday to have Saffer come out and look at my garbage disposal which had stopped working. They gave me an appointment date for next Monday but said they would let me know if there were any cancellations. They called this morning with a cancellation and had a technician out in no time. I hate the guy from saffer plumbing who try to reap off my money by telling me fake diagnosis in my water meter.he told me that water pipe is brust. I talked to Baltimore city water department about these situation, they said there is nothing wrong in water meter.which was already observed by them . and they provide some ideas how to get rid of it. I just follow the simple instruction and that worked it out. so if I listen to that plumber It would've been gone my $3500.00 which he had estimated to replace that pipe. think before you do......don't be fooled by those people.

We had heard good things about Saffer, so when our kitchen sink faucet started leaking just before dinner on a Thursday night Saffer was who we called. Dale and Tony came out the next morning and did an excellent job assessing the situation, explaining our options, and fixing the issue along with several other plumbing problems that hadn’t warranted a call on their own.There are some cheaper plumbers around, but we thought it was worth paying a fair price for good work and materials. Safer was recommended to me by a close friend. Two men came and briefly checked the drains in my kitchen & shower. They also unclogged my bathroom basin. It is so good to have it draining properly but I was shocked when they charged me over $400.00. I don’t think they were here for an hour. I was told simply that “ prices have gone up.” I don’t think I will call them again.

Saffer came out to our home for an estimation regarding some water spotting we were seeing on our ceiling. We don’t need repairs done at this time, but they gave us easy to follow advice and an estimate for repairs should the issue worsen. They were timely, professional, and courteous of COVID precautions without us having to ask.

Noticed our hot water heater leaking slightly on Saturday, so we called Saffer and left a voicemail requesting someone to take a look at it. First thing Monday morning they called at 7:15 AM and within a half hour, we had them at the house looking at the hot water heater. They did a full replacement and were done by 10:45 AM.This is the third time we’ve used them and they been reasonably priced with excellent service each time.Highly recommend them.

I needed plumbing service the day after holiday for a clogged kitchen sink drain. The first plumber I called wanted to service me the following day. The second never called back. I knew I was safe with Saffer because they were at my door within two hours of my call. The tech worked diligently to open the drain. and was UNBELIEVABLY meticulous in his clean up after his repair. If I again have the misfortune to need a plumber I will definitely call Saffer first.............you should too !

I called for an emergency service and they were out the same day. The technician was really friendly and even cleaned up under the sink after finishing the job. It's a little pricey, but I was happy to have everything taken care of within the day.

I contacted them for an estimate and Josh came out to have a look and provide an estimate. Josh was so nice, explained everything that needed to be done and provided the estimate. The company is very professional, prompt with texts confirming appts etc. The only reason I didn't use them was the cost. I found another plumber who did if for almost 1/2 the quoted price from Saffer. However, I have used Saffer in the past and was pleased with their service.

Incredibly reliable, punctual, and flexible (when there are emergencies)

It's never nice to see the toilet bowl fill up and not empty. Then see the backup flow up into the shower floor. I used the plunger, but fairly quickly knew that it was time to call Saffer. I got scheduled that afternoon around 4. I got a call around 2 saying they could come early. Sure. An hour and 15 minutes later, the roots they pulled out of the drain was the problem. $600. A good price for the expertise and work done.

Used to this company several times over the last 15 years; they are always on time, great prices and reasonable rate. The problem is solved and they have fixtures the old bathrooms. Jack is a good employee.

Two Saffer technicians just completed the replacement of my blocked sump pump discharge pipe. They were on-time, friendly, efficient, and cleaned up the area after the work was done. I will continue to use and recommend Saffer Plumbing and Heating.

We have had nothing but positive experiences with Saffer Plumbing over the many years, two houses, and multiples projects we’ve used them for including installing a hot water heater, installing new toilets, replacing a shower faucet, replacing a dishwasher and garbage disposal, snaking pipes, etc. They are always on time, responsive, knowledgeable, professional, reliable, friendly, and fairly priced.Most recently we noticed the seal on one of our toilets seemed to be leaking slowly at its base. They came out that same day and fixed it immediately. The plumber shared that while the toilet was past its original warranty since those same toilets now had a longer warranty than when we originally purchased them, the service was completely covered. It cost us $0 for his repairs other than the tip we insisted he take for his exceptional service. Finally, I found a company that will work on steam boilers. I had my steam boiler replaced two years ago by another company, but when I told them that I had a leak in the water supply line to the steam boiler, they would not come out to fix it. I called SAFFER PLUMBING and they was prompted in fixing the problem and the cost was reasonable. Thanks. I will call them again if I ever have a problem again.

When our toilet was leaking, Saffer’s phone dispatch was able to get me scheduled quickly. The repair technician, Joe, was really friendly, figured out the problem quickly, explained the issue clearly. He was able to make the repair the same day and had the toilet re-installed and ready to use within a couple hours of arriving.
