Professionalism - My experience was great. They made sure my property was protected and left clean and advised me of any pertinent information.

H&K were great! They returned my initial call immediately, came to my house the next day after 5 since I work and fixed the problem! They were efficient, honest and didn’t talk to me like an idiot like the last plumber I had. Highly recommend!!!

It has taken 8+ days to get anything out of this company. The woman that is supposed to answer the phone does not and if she does she supplies you with little to no info. We are going through American home shield and are beginning to think it’s not even worth it. We are in need of a new hot water heater and we have no water in our house at all, nobody seems to care at H&K. Still waiting on a phone call after leaving 10+ messages. Very dissatisfied customer.

H&k plumbing was absolutely amazing! Not only did they arrive on time at my residence, they were completely respectful and handled my issue with the water very quick. They were courteous and friendly and I appreciate that especially during these times when it's hard to get services to the home in person. My issue was my water was completed in record time and I am happy with the results! I would highly recommend them for all of your plumbing needs as you will not be disappointed!

The technician who came was very friendly, polite, and on time. He also taught me a few things about other plumbing questions I had while he was there. Their secretary was also very timely in calling me to setup the appointment and was very pleasant. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

had a cracked kitchen faucet that was slow dripping with the backup water under the sink. Chief Heath (owner) and Matt did a QUICK diagnosis, replaced the faucet head with a same -brand replacement and even reset the fix on the garbage disposal... all in less than 15 minutes! DEFINITELY LOOK THESE GUYS IN YOUR PHONE! NOW I'm washing dishes and cooking like it's 2018 again!!

The lady who scheduled the appointment was very rude. The man who came out to my house was even worse. My house was left with a leaking pipe he refused to fix because I refuse to spend $1400 for a brand new fancy sink that is only used as a drain for the washing machine. The sink wasn’t the problem. The joint in a drain leaking was. The man told me to do it myself because he wouldn’t do it. What kind of company is this? You think you can pull stuff over on my just because I am a female? As far as I am concerned you just stole $75 from me and wasted my time. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

This company is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I have had them come out to my home two or three times contracted through my home warranty of American Home Shield (also terrible) and each time they came out and did a job they were rude as if they weren't on my dime. If you don't like being contracted through a warranty company don't do it. The last time these people came out they were rude, didn't want to clear my main line saying that the warranty company didn't give them permission to clear the line going through the toilet, when they called the warranty company they didn't disclose that they could go through the toilet so the company didn't authorize it; and they virtually did nothing.

I wasted $75 with them. KEEP SCROLLING WHEN YOU SEE THIS COMPANY!!

Guess you can't always trust reviews. I had Advanced Drain Cleaning (referred by American Home Sheild) replace my hot water heater (power vent system). Ron & the other tech were awesome. Very professional, honest and down to earth guys. 5 Stars. Thanks fellas!

I chose 1 star only because I was forced to in order to post this message. This company was dispatched to me from my home warranty company. I called them directly to get clarity about the estimate and am very upset by the manner in which I was treated. I literally just hung up with someone who was bothered by my desire to understand the estimate. He kept telling me that the information he was giving me was based on the technician's evaluation of the problem. I asked him if he could explain what the technician actually evaluated because all that was done was him putting his hand on the wall, feeling the vibration from the pipes that are behind the wall and telling me what needed to be repaired. 2 minutes in and out. How I am to be sure that once they remove the wall, the repair won't cost more? I don't understand why my questions were so problematic. I consider home repairs to be a major decision so it's important for me to understand all that might be involved. I will never ever use this company!!

These wonderful gentlemen have come to my house twice in response to AHS service requests. Both times, they were prompt, polite, professional, and solved the problem quickly. They gave advice on how to prevent the problem from occurring again. Average response time from request has been about 48 hours due to their schedules being booked for the next day.
One recommendation - make sure your clean out is easily accessible. Mine was hidden partially behind tiles in the shower. They aren't able to create access, so they had to come back the next day after we removed the tiles. They were awesome about making the second appointment right away so I didnt have to wait again.

Super prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. Fixed my issue in minutes, and couldn’t have been more friendly while doing so!

Pros: The plumbers were really friendly and professional.

Cons: The woman who answers the found is not particularly friendly. The plumbers stated there was nothing wrong with my water heater, which I disagree and felt that we paid $75 for nothing.

Issue: We noticed the hot water heater was not getting any hot water. Then we started only getting hot water for maybe 3 minutes before it goes cold. The plumbers told my husband it is due to the cold temperature outside, which I disagree. We bought our house almost four years ago (which mean we had the water heater for 3 winters which had very cold temps) and never had an issue with our hot water. In the past and up until last Saturday, 3 of our household members (we have 4 ppl in our household) can take a shower back to back without the water getting cold. However, since last Saturday, 1 person cannot fully take a shower. The water goes cold within 3 minutes, you cannot even get your full body washed and rinsed let alone wash up twice.

I have called AHS warranty back today and requested for a 2nd opinion. I am a little upset because AHS is currently waiting for a diagnoses from the H&K since Monday when they came out. So now I am being held up from having a 2nd opinion done ASAP. I understand this is not an emergency for you all but this is an emergency for my family.

So I recently bought a home in June 2017 and my garbage disposal went up. I have a warrenty and I was blessed to finally have someone who could fix an appliance the same day. Ron with H and K Plumbing is fabulous!! He fixed the issue immediately, he gave me pointers, and gave advice. He is very professional, laid back and respectful. If you have a plumbing issue request Ron!!! You will not be disappointed!

The service guy did very little on diagnosing the problem. He was in a rush from the moment he stepped foot in the door answered a personal call and sounded very irrated and told me he was baffled by the problem I am having. Didn't even fool with the toilet told me there is no mechanical problem with it (even though he watched all the water drain out of it). He told me he would REQUEST a 2nd opinion since he was baffled and is blaming it on a vent pipe which he didn't even check out.. We have had AHS for 14 yrs and this is the 1st issue we have had with a contractor they sent us. I would not recommend H&K to anyone..

Ron was amazing. On time and very professional, he took one look at my hot water heater, analyzed the problem, and had it fixed in about 10 minutes. Although the problem began over the weekend, which happened to be Christmas weekend, and then there is the AHS process, H&K responded to my issue with a since of urgency that I am very grateful for. They are a small firm, but I found them knowledgeable, and very professional. Would hire them again, even if outside of the warranty. Great Job, Thanks...

This company has assigned by AHS. They Came over to home & checked it took around 2 mins & he left telling us nothing. Meantime, my i got an email from AHS system by job has completed eventually they did nothing. I keep calling them but no response also left voice mail i never get call back. Receptionist woman answer phone with unpleasantness & unprofessional. It's such a rudeness. i would never go with that company just waste of time & waste of money. DISAPPOINTING!!!

Last Monday, I was told by my home warranty that they would be coming out to do plumbing work on the 22nd of this month. They also told me to call H and K to confirm. I have called and left at least 5 voicemails and no call back. They no called no showed on the 22nd. I cant believe a business can operate and function like this.

This company sent a very friendly, competent, and efficient plumber to replace our garbage disposal and because of his speedy service, I’d recommend H&K Plumbing to anyone and avail myself of their services again if needed.

They pretty much never answer the phone and will not give you a call back no matter how many messages you leave.

Cole and John just fixed our shower. My partner and I had a different plumber from another company come a month ago who not only broke our shower head but also didn't fix our shower faucet, which was already broken. (We have two dogs and bathing an 80 pound pitbull in a broken shower is a nightmare.) We were so worried about having more plumbers come because
we were worried it would ether stay broken and/or break even further.

Cole and John were incredible. They were here way earlier than I
thought they would be. They were really nice, really friendly,
explained what they were going to do, were VERY fast, and did the repairs perfectly. When they were finished, they explained the repairs that they had made and told me what caulking needed to be done and in what time frame.

We have needed a lot of work done on our house and John and Cole were some of the nicest and most efficient people that we have had. They were exceptional. Our experience today has ensured that we will be sure to go with HK in the future when we need plumbing services.

Terrible service I highly wouldn't recommend this company ripoff/fraud. Called for clogged drains I was told it could be fixed for 550$ and they would be able to fix it, so the day comes and it was 2 guys 1 high as kite to the point he could barely function and the other I believe the owners son very inexperienced workers he just followed the 1 guy and agreed with everything he said. These 2 guys spent the next 2 or 3 hrs wasting time and making a mess in my basement afterwards I was told multiple stories on why it can't be done after convincing me it could be done. If I would have been told these things in the beginning I would have never chose the service very misleading company.

They arrived on time and completed the outdoor sump pump drainage work in a timely manner.
Before leaving, they reviewed and clearly explained the completed work and answered my questions to my satisfaction.
They did an excellent job and was very neat; they left no messy areas.

The reason that I again, took the time to review H & K Plumbing is because I believe good customer service and excellent work is at the heart of all businesses ...that results in satisfied customers.

This is my third time using them via AHS home warranty, which I am glad I have because my new home seems to have a few plumbing quirks, and they have been very good each time. The app lets me know when to expect them, they show up when scheduled and have promptly identified and resolved the issue each time.

[Problem Resolution] The experience was nice. H&K was professional and took care of my plumbing issue on the spot.

I was using this company as referred by AHS home warranty company. H&K claimed they were unable to find the part needed (yet another plumber said he always has he part in his truck and said they are always available). I also found the part easily online and available. My calls were never returned by H&K and there was no progress in over two weeks-NONE. They blamed the home warranty company and the warranty company blamed them. I would not use this company at all. Something is wrong here.

Wished I had read these comments before AHS assigned them to repair my sump pump. Their 2 minute diagnosis was that they could not make the repair because it was too much dirt around the sump pump. They told me to call a waterproofing company. Clearly, they did not want to do the work. This is the third time in a few years that the sump pump has failed. AHS just assigned another plumbing company. I made a formal complaint with AHS to do a better job at evaluating their contractors. Earlier this year, my rental property's kitchen sink was clogged up...AHS sent two plumbing companies that did not have the proper equipment to fix it. Finally, the third company was able to do it...after wasting a considerable amount of my time.

Due to not taking time to properly assess the cause of our sump pump failure, you provided a misdiagnosis to our warranty company. This led to us not getting the coverage we were legally entitled to and us paying out of pocket for a new sump pump. If we had known the correct way to assess(based on the way our pump lid is positioned and designed) at the time of your visit we would had called your forman out at that time to lift the lid to our sump pump. We hired a waterproofing company as your forman suggested and they were able to lift the lid to our smp pump to allow a full visual of our pit and sump pump(you had to cut pvc pipe sticking out of it in order to lift the lid) to make a correct diagnosis. Your forman based a diagnosis on peering through a small drain hole on top of our lid. We will never trust your company to diagnosis or make repairs in our home again!

I wish I could give them zero stars. I have a home warranty and the company sent them out to replace a garbage disposal. The repair was approved and authorized. They refused to do the repair because there was a nut missing and said it needed to be replaced by us (the home owner). The entire repair and equipment was covered though so I’m not sure why they didn’t take care of everything. So they refused to do the work. Then they refused to answer phone calls or return messages. We called the home warranty company and asked for a vendor change. They referred us to Jacks plumbing and they came out and fixed everything next business day. If you’re considering H&K same yourself time and trouble and call Jack.

H&K installed my water heater and they did a great job. Very professional and timely. Ron was a great help from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. Thanks H&K and a big thanks to Ron

This company is very professional. The technicians were professional and kind. They made sure that all questions was answered.

This company was referred/assigned to me from my home warranty company. I contacted them through their website and left numerous phone messages. I never heard a word so after a few days of having been assigned, contacted my home warranty company who also couldn't get in touch with them. They ultimately assigned my claim to another plumber who replied the same day, set an appointment for the next day, arrived and fixed the problem. Avoid H & K Plumbing if you want prompt, efficient service.

The plumber was on time, proficient and had a great attitude. He was perky on the phone and so polite. I will definitely use them again. He fixed the sink in like 20 minutes along with the piping.

Very happy with our experience. We have had many plumbers come trying to fix the problems in out bathtub and this guy was the only one who did a complete assessment and fixing it completely and replacing the parts that needed replacing! He was very professional and respectful too as i find many treat me like the dumb blonde mom and he did not make me feel that way at all!

Had a slow leak dripping into basement recently had no idea where it was coming from. Under my warranty H and K comes out and shows up for all of 10 minutes and informs my fiancé that it was probably coming from the roof and they charge her the deductible and leave (I couldn’t be there because I was working a double). H and K doesn’t look for the leak, run any test etc....I call another contracter and they actually look for the leak and conduct tests and pinpoint it to the wax ring on the toilet upstairs. Needless to say the second contracter fixes the issue and no more leaks. I call back H and K numerous times and they don’t return my voicemails or answer the phone. I guess since I wasn’t there they enjoy taking advantage of my fiancé. Real professional H and K. Nice way to take advantage of hard working paying customers.

This is just a follow up from my previous review. After ripping me off telling me that it was not covered by my home warranty and made me pay them $500 for fixing the leak under the toilet, it started leaking again after a year. I called my home warranty and sent me C Mayes and they have fixed it with no problem under my home warranty. H and K plumbing has another company under the name Advance Drain Cleaning. So beware if your home warranty sent you them to fix your plumbing problem, do yourself a favor ask to change it to a different plumber. Just an honest opinion...

This company was contracted out to my home from my home warranty when the water in my showers and faucets stopped functioning properly. Making taking baths, showers, and washing dishes a nightmare. The technician spent about 5 minutes total with my husband and attributed the problem to no water pressure coming into my home. Advised me to contact Baltimore City to make sure there was adequate water pressure coming in from the street. After waiting for them to come, they concluded the water pressure coming in from the street was fully functional. I contacted H&K back, the receptionist informed me they closed my ticket/case. I explained to her here I am days later with still no ability to shower. Everything seemed so non urgent to this company. She said she would have the gentleman contact me. Never got a call. I called them back a day later, her response was pressure related issues are not covered by my warranty. Ok fine, I was fully prepared to pay out of pocket because by now it’s a week out and we still have no functioning water. Unhappy with this company, I called my warranty company back and asked them to contract out a new company. This company is unprofessional and clearly only in it for money. When they got notice my services were not gonna be covered, all communication was stopped. During my final phone call with the receptionist, I explained I just wanted the problem fixed even without using the warranty company and the technician did give me a call back. I missed the call because I was at work. My handy non-plumber father in law came over and tightened/adjusted a valve in the basement above the main water supply and our water is back to normal. I’ll never use this company or refer them to anyone.

The problem was resolved.

The receptionist was rude and took days to return my call. The plumber was extremely hostile with my wife and when I talked with him over the phone he was only slightly less dickish to me (I guess because I'm a man) and then began to condescend to me as though I knew nothing, even though I have put in a few bathrooms in my life and done tons of small plumbing jobs. With that being said, they DID fix what they were called out to fix but if I knew it was going to be like that I would have just found the time to fix it myself. I suggest having some customer service training over at ADC asap

H & K plumbing saved the day for me!
Matt and Heath came to my house to fix a clogged toilet that my toddler had filled with toys.
I was hosting a family event that night and explained that while there was no flood , it was an emergency for me.
My heroes arrived within 30 minutes and took care of the problem with speed and grace.
I’m super grateful for their dedication and care.
I highly recommend H&K plumbing!!

Sometimes with a service contractor, it depends on who they send. My first experience was nothing to write home about. The second time I had a visit from Kevin and Ron to assess my leakage from my water heater via my home warranty. Although I decided to have my work done by another vendor I have to praise my interaction with Kevin and Ron. They were both very professional, took ample time to assess my problem, gave me what I felt was credible feedback and helped me make a decision I could live with. One of my neighbors saw their truck and used them shortly afterwards and had nothing but praise for the work. As with any business, it depends on the person, I highly recommend Kevin or Ron if you use this vendor. Thank you both.

told us job was too small for him to do and we should call someone else.. wouldn't even give us his name.. very unprofessional and cocky will never use again ...ask for another company if referred to you very poor service

The gentlemen who installed my water heater were very pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable. Hope this never happens again, (water heater failure) but if so, I will be more than happy to contract with H&K plumbing!

I have heard they were difficult to reach on the phone and initially they didn't return my call but my wife had no problem getting in touch with them. The two gentleman who came were courteous, honest and did great work (fast too). They took the time to level with us about the problem and the possible solutions and did not pressure us either way. They tried to lay it out as well as they could so we could make an informed decision. I would definitely call them again.

Scheduled an appointment at the request of my property manager. Apparently the plumber showed up, stuck the card in the door, and left. I've been sitting at home waiting and yet no doorbell, knock, call, or anything. I'm literally sitting fifteen feet from the door and the technician claims to have knocked and rang the doorbell. Our doorbell is functional--he's lying. The plumber did call the landlord, but didn't call me (despite the company having my number and claiming they would send me a text message when the technician was on the way). As soon as the property manager called to say the plumber was there and left, I ran outside and found the card, called the number on the card, and talked to the person who apparently was at my house. Turns out he's the owner of the company. He argued with me trying to tell me that I'm not very good at being home and refused to come back despite being here only minutes before. The property manager called me to say he was on his way at 4:23 pm and I called the owner at 4:47 pm. I would never ever hire these people to come near my house.

EDIT: would also like to note that this was contracted work through American Home Shield home warranty company.

This company was referred/assigned to me from my home warranty company. I had to contact them to schedule an appointment. They came out assessed my leaky ceiling as a toilet flange issue high is not covered by the warranty company. I had them repair the flange and was guaranteed my ceiling would not leak. I was even told the work they completed was covered under a 13 month warranty. 2 months later my ceiling started leaking again. I called to have them come out and inspect but was told I had to pay a fee. Then they suggest I could call my warranty company to have them come out and if it is a problem with the flange they would reimburse my deductible. I couldn’t understand if the work is covered under a warranty why do I have to pay a fee for them to inspect their own work. The admin assistant was not helpful at all and no one never returned my calls. If this company is assigned to you by your warranty request another company.

Advanced Drain Cleaning Services was sent to me be American Home Shield, a home warranty company. I had no say on which company would come and fix my water heater. After I contacted AHS, I received a call from Advanced Drain Cleaning Services and an appointment was set up. They arrived on time, diagnosed the problem(s) and presented me with an itemized estimate. The estimate was submitted to AHS and within a few hours I was contacted by AHS. AHS stated that they had the estimate and would be ordering a new replacement water heater. They also stated that they will also cover a few of additional items on the estimate. Additional items not covered on the list included upgrades, because of new code improvements. This made sense to me and I approved the work. I was then contacted by Advance Drain Cleaning Service and given a time for installation. They arrived within the window time and installed the water heater. The techs were knowledgeable, friendly and pleasant (even after my thousands of questions). They cleaned up after the job and left nothing for me to do but turn on the faucets throughout the house and drain the lines of air. Very professional job. I will use Advanced Drain Cleaning Services for non-warranty work.

H and k company Was hired by my warranty company They came out to look at the leak. They spent 5 mins looking at it and wanted me to put a big whole in my wall so they could fix the leak...ABSOLUTELY not!!!! Also, they were Very unprofessional. My renters informed me that They talked To them for over 2 hrs about nothing related to the problem. My renters told me that was unprofessional and they didn’t like that. In addition, When you call the company the women who answers the phone always has an attitude and is not pleasant and professional. I advise any and everyone to be careful with this company. This company is one of the bad apples in this pluming industry. I advise!!!! Please don’t use this company not worth using them. You will not be happy...

I was referred to this company by my home warranty HMS National. I called and left a message no return call; my husband calls and gets an immediate call back. The woman on the phone (never says her name) is rude and doesn't have an ounce of professionalism. She states because the home warranty people didn't call her she can't get anyone out for the next few weeks. So I guess its ok to leave my water heater leaking and basement flooded.
