Had f/u with field supervisor and was very helpful and professional.
I called for kitchen sink being clogged. RR responded and the first technician did decent job of fixing what he could on sink and called another tech to run camera down the pipe. First tech indicated he felt pipe was broken 15 feet down the line. The second tech arrived and would not run a camera down the pipe AND left an estimate to fix broken pipe of 12,600 + dollars. I called a different company for a second opinion and they ran a camera in the pipes and showed there is NO broken pipe. They cleaned out the pipe and whole fix only cost 150 dollars. I feel RR took advantage of an elderly person.

Called Roto-Rooter for a broken pipe in the wall. After reading reviews, I requested serviceman Roberto Blanco. He arrived at the appointed time and gave me a free estimate. I found that he was very knowledgeable and courteous. The job was completed and the price quoted reasonable. I give him five stars for a job well done. I would recommend and use him again.
I am a General Manager of a restaurant and called Roto Rooter for a professional master plumber to do an inspection of my back flow system. They sent Bill tech 1581. Bill was very professional and efficient with his work. I did not have to shut down my operation or lock my doors for him to do his job. Well let’s see, we called them to come out for my 90 yr old mom, they came and determined she had backed up sewer drain, claimed they couldn’t video to confirm, said they would charge $6500.00 plus $5000.00-$10,000 for restoration of water in carpet and walls, said needed all money up front, without even confirming problem, called a real plumber lenny’s , came out diagnosed problem charged 159.00 to unclog air conditioning drain wow ! Taking advantage of a 90 yr old lady , really sad! Wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy, then when confronted salesman hung up on us! Update- roto rooter contacted family acknowledged mistakes made took steps to correct so would not happen again, thanks to management!!!!

I had a kitchen drain that would drain slowly. A different company came out to try and fix the drain, but they made it worse. Rotor-Rooter was able to schedule same day service and they cleared the drain. I am very happy with the end result.
Had an emergency drain clog. A bathroom face bowl was filling up from the A/C line. Called them Sunday and in less than an hour Mr. Soden showed up and unstopped the drain. Very impressed with the quick service and results. Price was a little high but worth it to get service that quick on a Sunday. I was impressed with the serviceman and the company. Highly recommended.
We had a plumbing emergency the day after Thanksgiving, and Roto-Rooter was able to fix it the very same day. Jeff Slater saved the day! He was very friendly and professional. Andy Lopiparo was great, too. If you ever have a drain issue in New Orleans, these are the guys to call! We were very happy with their services.

Called yesterday about a pan under the water heater, came out in an hour explained pros and cons. I purchased a new water heater yesterday brought it home and put it in the garage. DEREK TECH #3416 came on time today drained the old one and allowed me to replace the tile underneath and installed the new one perfectly for the price he quoted yesterday. He explained that it would be wiser to install a new unit due to the cost than take the risk on an old one. He personally did a very neat job. thank-you

Excellent service and very timely. Professional technicians and workload quickly and performed excellent repair. Very expensive though for two washing machine valves and two small copper pipes it was over $800.00. The work is guateed but price is very high.
Nick A. 2695 was a huge help today! Stopped by on a Saturday to unclog a drain that was causing my AC to misfire. When his first attempt to unclog my drain didn’t work, he tried another method until the line was clear and tested the line twice just to make sure it wouldn’t back up again.There are very few plumbers here that work weekends and I was very relieved to have his help so my AC would work in this heat! I recently had to have my water lines run through my attic. They sent out a young man named Brandon. He was very professional, organized and did a wonderful job. My hot water is hotter than it's ever been. If you need a plumber, Brandon's the way to go.I also had to have the water restoration group come in. They went over the top to get my home dry.Rotor-Rooter does excellent work. I'm glad I gave them a call.
It was a Saturday, and I had a leak in the wall from a water heater pipe. The water was running down the wall through my garage into the driveway. No one would come out for the call, but Tony, with Roto Rooter, did. He knew exactly what to do. I would recommend him to anyone. I was in a nine line bind--but Tony really came through for me. I'm going to call for him everytime I need a plumber.

I called with a clogged drain. George was here within 3 hours. He and his assistant, Kendall were courteous and professional. They explained what they needed to do, how much it would cost, and cleaned up after themselves. I was very happy and satisfied with the service I received from Roto-Rooter. George Hardin Tech # 2170 was my technician. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. His assistant Kendall was also courteous and professional.
Ryan tech 3399 was awesome. Explain everything he was doing. Let us know what the problem was and started fixing it. Highly recommended. If I have any plumbing issues I will be calling Ryan again
The technician that completed the service at my home did an excellent job. He was very patient and thorough. He has superb customer service skills. The A+ service was well worth the cost..which wasn’t very pricey at all.
Terrible service. Someone was supposed to come to my house between 10a-2p yesterday. I got a call around noon saying they weren’t going to be able to come that day. I called this morning to verify that someone was coming, and they said between 8a-12p. I got a call at 10:30a saying they were running late but someone was going to come today. I called them back around 2:45p and asked if someone was still coming. They said no but they would come tomorrow. They can waste someone else’s time. 0/5 stars.

Lester with Roto-Rooter came out at promised time. We thought it would be a simple job. Was actually more complicated than what we were thinking. He explained every thing he needed to do including cutting out a piece of our wall. The job was done in a timely matter. He was professional, courteous and helped keep the cost done as much as possible! Would definitely call again should any further problems arise.
Mr. Austin had done some work for me and my business and couldn’t have been a better, stress free situstion. Really was the experience we all look for and rarely get.

I had an emergency on a Friday night. Neither toilets would flush because the main sewer line was clogged. I called Friday night and they said they could be out here between 9 and 1 on Saturday. I got a call at 8:30 am saying they were on the way. Herman ran a snake into the clean out towards the street and within minutes it was cleared and draining. $355 was a little high but the service was great. I had also called Mr Rooter Friday night but heard nothing from them Saturday.

I find it interesting how all reviews mentioning Technician Henry are all 5 star reviews. That was NOT my experience with Henry, I believe he took advantage of me because I’m a female. My hour long service was over a thousand dollars and my toilet still isn’t working correctly. I also found it interesting that all 3 accounts giving Henry 5 stars have no other reviews. I personally will not be using roto-rooter ever again. If you decide to use them and they send Henry out, beware… he is a con man.

Overall decent service, with some unfortunate delays: I called about a cracked pipe with flowing water under my house at about 7:30 Friday evening. I was told that a plumber would be on the way soon, arriving within an hour. After 9:00pm, a plumber called me telling me he couldn't come that evening because he wouldn't be able to get the parts to fix my problem. Soon after, the operator called to tell me the plumber reported he couldn't access my crawlspace, which is not what the plumber had told me, especially because he had never come to my house to look. The operator apologized and told the plumber to come out for a free consultation. He finally arrived by 10, didn't go under my house (although it is not difficult) and again told me he couldn't do anything. A new plumber was sent out the following morning and Derrick was great. He found the problem, talked me through it, and did a temporary fix to get me through the weekend. He came back on Monday, in a rain storm, with the permanent part and assured me the problem was fixed. Derrick was very professional. The first guy (I didn't get his name) was not. In an emergency, I would probably call again as Roto Rooter is one of the only 24 hour plumbers in my area. I would note that every time I received a call that the plumber was on the way they didn't show up for at least 90 minutes.
Once I actually got a plumber here after 4 tries Roberto Blanco was great. 5 stars only because of him.First guy came and said it wasn’t a toilet/drain issue so after two missed appointments by techs, one time sending a drain tech versus a plumber, and one time scheduling when I was unavailable Roberto did an amazing job.Thanks roberto!
I like this company. I call them double R--kinda like 007 (double-O-seven). Some time ago, another company, came out to fix a leak between the spout and shower head in our bathroom. When that guy left, our problem was only partially solved and whenever we turned on the shower, water would come from both the shower head and the tub's spout. Since the other company had messed up one too many times, I decided to replace them with Roto Rooter. Best decision yet! This was my third time using RR and I get more impressed each time they come out. Derek #3416 corrected the problem right away (cheap price) And he even strapped the loose water hoses (free of charge), to the wood in our closet. These guys are friendly and professional they never leave trash behind--like the other company used to do. They always leave you with good maintenance advice too! The competitors can't compete!

I had a clogged kitchen drain. The plumber came out and asked me what the problem was. He wrote up a contract for $335. I said I only wanted him to unclog the drain. He said that was the price, there was nothing cheaper on their charge sheet. Unclogging a drain costs $335.
Nick 2695 did a great job. He is personable and informative. He keeps you informed of everything he does throughout the process. Will request him next time service is needed.

It's never great when you realize you have a plumbing problem during Mardi Gras. Anyone in New Orleans knows it's hard to get any work done this time of year. But I needed a plumber STAT and Roto-Rooter came through for me. They quickly found my problem...tree roots had infiltrated my lines. Ugh. They came up with a solution for me that didn't break the bank and enabled me to keep the tree I love. AND didn't pressure me into anything. Gave me time to contact my husband (who sadly was out of town while I was dealing with everything) and were available immediately once I was ready to have them back to complete the work. All three employees I dealt with were very nice and respectful. Thanks Roto-Rooter!

Nick Alphonso responded to a clogged drain call. He is the epitome of the Roto-Rooter company image, he listened to my complaint, assessed the work needed to be performed, showed me the problem and offered both an immediate solution and a long term preventative. I bought both, call Roto-Rooter and ask for Nick; he is great!
I phoned in and within an hour, Joshua, the service tech arrived. He was very polite and professional. He diagnose our problem quickly. In a short time he was done and our stoppage gone. The price was fair and the service was great. Will absolutly call this company back if I need further services.

He was very polite, listened to my issues, and quickly assessed what the problem was. He repaired the water heater, then, I mentioned another issue that has been a problem for a long time. Update: I would like to update my previous review from 2 starts to 4 starts. After writing about our disappointment in the service provided, we received a call immediately from Roto Rooter. The customer service was wonderful and they apologized for our unfortunate experience and refunded the cost. We were not presented with price options which was the ultimate problem. Thank you Roto Rooter for the pleasant customer service and making the situation better.
I needed a plumbing company to come out quickly and repair a number of things at my dad’s house. My dad is currently in the hospital and about to return home for home hospice. Because my dad was so sick leading up to this point, the bathroom and other parts of the house had become really messy and dirty, and I was really embarrassed, but Dion, who was my plumber, made me feel much better about and told me not to worry about. He fixed everything really fast, was so nice, and I am so grateful. Thank you so much Dion, and Roto-Rooter. Everything will now be in working order when my dad returns from the hospital tomorrow.
UPDATE 08/17/14: Ok, so I have never had to do this before but I have to now retract most of my earlier review (BELOW). My wife received a phone call from the General Manager, Mike. He went above and beyond to fix their error. They sent a tech out immediately and, honestly, it was a quick 5 minute fix. Mike called my wife after the service call and apologized again. ROTO ROOTER - you have earned our trust back. Our lost time can't be made up but you've done right by us by fixing our issue and addressing your service failure. Thank you!08/16/14: I can not even begin to express my utter and complete anger towards this company. We have been without hot water for over a week now. We called and made an appointment with your New Orleans office. We were told that a plumber would be out to see us on Friday, 8/15 between Noon and 4 pm. At approximately 4 pm, 8/15, we received a phone call saying that the plumber was unable to make it but they would be out - FOR SURE - between 8 am and Noon on 8/16. Now, since Friday was a workday I had to take a day off from work - obviously there was a lack of regard for my time and ability to earn money.Today we received a phone call around 11 am telling us that we were next on the call list and we would have a plumber to our house after noon - this was of course well after our 8 am to noon showtime. At approximately 3 pm we received another phone call telling us that the plumber had been called away to an emergency and that he would be unable to come to our house today but they would - FOR SURE - be there on Sunday between noon and two. No, thank you!Not only did I miss a half day of work on Friday but I also missed an ENTIRE day off on Saturday waiting for your plumber to show up. New Orleans may be a large city - but we are small and everyone knows everyone. Thank you for showing how much you truly careabout your customers!

I called Roto-Rooter this morning to unclog my kitchen sink. Larry Wright (Tech #183) came out the same morning and was very knowledgeable. He was able to clear our drain quickly and efficiently and identified a potential brake in our pipes. Larry gave detailed explanations for everything so that I could easily understand what was going on. Great service!

I've had a problem with my toilet running for months. When I finally called the plumber the process was quick and easy. I was given a window of 10-2 (yuck) but the plumber arrived by 10:30 and was done by 11. He even tried to get me the best possible price for the device because it was minor. I would definitely use Roto Rooter again if necessary.

We submitted a request on Friday at midnight, and Roberto B. (technician) was there on Saturday working from 5:30 - 8:30p. It wasn't an emergency; we needed some routine maintenance including hardware replacements for a leak in the bathtub faucet. Although we did not request extra work in advance, he agreed to stay in order to fix a few problems in the kitchen that the previous home owners left for us. He made sure to explain everything, was friendly but not too chatty, and everything works as it should. Roberto is now the only plumber I'll let in my house. Give him a bonus, Roto-Rooter!

If your toilet is backed up - they arrive quickly and do a good job. If you have a sewer line problem - Call somebody else - I called due to a break in my main sewer line. There were so many issues with the way this job was handled it would be comical were it not so frustrating. * no English speaking workers present on the job. *the wrong area of sidewalk (10 feet) was destroyed because * there was never a supervisor to stop by and give the workers direction * dirt was hauled away from the property and what was left was not tamped down * it rained to day - first time since the job was finished and the entire sidewalk where the work was done has caved in 3 feet in a lot of areas. In some areas the bricks are just hanging on each other in the air so the photos don't do it justice.Call somebody else. No one with this company will take responsibility for anything. Everything that happens is someone else's fault. Very poor communication between workers and with the customer. Everytime I tried to call it was a circus of being either transferred or told to call a different number and every person you speak to blames what ever the problem is on someone else or on the corporate system not doing what they are supposed to do. Very frustrating.

Plastic pipes were leaking below kitchen sink, so called Rotorooter and they came out to my home the same day to replace the old, broken plastic pipes. The cost was a bit high for the service in my opinion; however, we really needed the leaks to be repaired.

Upon arrival they were friendly, courteous required minimum information to quickly determine and begin to address the problem. The sewage cleanup and repairs were quick, the cleanup was acceptable and within approx 1 1/2 hrs. all was well again! Our tech Jeff Slater, #355 was very friendly, and answered my questions. Joshua, he came to our house for the leaking from newly remodeled the sink and dishwasher. The person yesterday from this company did not find where the problem was. We had paid more than thousand dollars. Then I called this morning, they assigned Joshua. From the moment he was here, explained any problems and fixing methods to us. Rotorooter came out on Christmas Eve and got the sewer line flowing, but the tech. left the blade on the drain snake down in the pipe (came off the end of his cable). Told us they’d send a “free” camera inspection on Tuesday to check status of the pipe. They came, told us there was still a “blockage” down the pipe, but “no, I didn’t see the lost blade.” Would not let us see video feed on pipe interior - oh, you want to SEE what the video shows? Well, that’s $100.00 fee! But, without showing us video to corroborate the need for the repair and/or that it wasn’t their blade creating the “blockage” (note, at present, sewer is still draining well), they proposed a $10,000+ contract to break up the driveway and replace the pipe. (Rebuilding driveway NOT included). Sounds a little sketchy to you? Sounded that way to me too.
My technician Drew was very clean, knowledgeable, and worked diligently to fix my plumbing issues- RR is very lucky to have his loyalty to the company! I will continue to use RR in the French Quarter because of Drew!

It was a complicated, multi-day, multi-plumber job. The problem was found accidentally under our 120 year old house. It was a doozie!On Tuesday, Clem Gauthe came out and did what could be done immediately after he assessed the situation. He was efficient, informative, and polite.We were unavailable Wednesday, so Thursday, a supervisor specializing in this type of repair did a further evaluation and explained his discoveries. That afternoon Anthony Barone and Tony Gagliano arrived. They offered to begin, but I preferred to get a fresh start the next day. They communicated clearly what would be needed in supplies, equipment, time, labor, cost, and inconvenience. Friday went as close to their predictions as could be expected with a job this complex. They kept us informed every step, so there were no surprises, and we appreciated that.They were all professional, personable, and patient with our questions and apprehension.We are repeat customers and will continue to engage this company.
My wife had noticed that the hot water wasn't working and we saw water coming up from under the driveway. We called Rotor Rooter to investigate and Troy figured out that it was our hot water line that had the leak and cut it off for us to prevent more water from leaking until we get it fixed. I called Roto-Rooter plumbing and the dispatcher Kristina was extremely friendly and understanding she let me vent about my issue and then immediately explained my options to me. It was already late in the evening but she assured me someone would come out to fix my issue tonight and she definitely kept her end of the bargain. Can’t say enough about my experience with Roto router and Lester with my situation. With a possible main pipe breakage and roots Lester came out and explained everything that could be wrong and gave me options that was easy for me to understand and potential cost for each option. I have called plumbers in the past.It can be a hassle with leaving voicemails and them getting back to you in a day or so then taking a couple days to come out. Since my situation was an emergency with total plumbing shut down at my house I was able to make the call and within two hours he was already there and done with the job. After reading several five star reviews, I decided to go with Roto Rooter. That was a big mistake. I called on Wednesday, and the company set me up with an appointment the next day between noon and 4 pm. A representative did not arrive to my house until 7:30 pm that day. I was called at 2 pm and told I was next to be served. I was then called again at 4:30 telling me a technician was running late. When it got to 6 pm, I called again. I was put on hold to find the technician. When they could not, I was told I would be called back. When it was 6:50 pm, I called back. A customer service representative was able to find me a technician who was in Houma and the technician arrived for 7:30 pm.I did receive excellent service by the technician, but that was the only positive about my experience.

The only reason it's 4 stars and not 5 is because of the price. Way way way expensive. And using a video of your drain line as a reason to charge $375 to clear a drain is just cheese. I didn't need a video of my drain line especially when the plumber who was already there wasn't the one to do it, another guy came out to do it. No option or price though to only have drain cleaned.
I had a very positive Roto Rooter experience today. I actually called the 800 number around midnight because I wanted to make sure my toilet could be unclogged ASAP. The guy at the call center was friendly and got me on the schedule for the first shift in the morning. Roberto the plumber came promptly at 9am to unclog my toilet; he was very nice and professional and resolved the issue very efficiently. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs plumbing assistance.
At 1st I was told there was a Tech in my area and would be there shortly and would contact me within 30 minutes. A few hours passed and then I got a call back from shaquita, Stating that the Tech was in New Orleans and would be there within the hour but not to worry because of traffic. The technician did not show up for 2 hours and then apologized when he got here because he came all the way from Violet Louisiana. This kind of threw me because I was told that it would be someone local. It was a lot latter than i expected so i was kind of in a mood. The technician Nick Alphonso quickly turned my not so great experience into an awesome one. He is professional fast working and thorough. He was very friendly and had my problem fixed in what seemed like no time. The wife is happy, so im happy! Thank you Nick for being as hardworking as you were professional. Roto-Rooter promote that man.

The employee was determined to try and solve the problem even though it wasn’t solved he did his best and explained the problem thoroughly.
They replaced a worn out wax seal from under the toilet. But they also cleaned all the black off my tile grout and placed the toilet very neatly in place. I was very pleased with his work.

I was very dissatisfied with the final result. I called to try and dry up my floors from my water heater leak. Not sure what was really done. Mats were put down, but didn’t work. My wood floors buckled and will need to be replaced (something I was trying to avoid and was told would not happen). To top it off, the tape they used for the mats ended up taking off the finish of the wood floors. Paid $1300+ for nothing! Will be reporting to BBB.

Nick (Tech No. 2695) was great. He was professional and knowledgeable. I was given a time slot of 8AM-10AM. I received a text message at 7:30 that he was on the way, and he arrived around 8:15. We recently had a new washing machine installed. When draining into the washing machine drain standpipe, the standpipe has been overflowing. Another plumber wasn't able to snake this small of a line, but Nick could. He also talked to me about enzyme treatment (which I had already researched online) and taught me how to do it. He was done by 9:15.Great experience with Nick.

Tech went above and beyond to figure out the problem, but since he was not certified to work on gas lines he could not fix the issue. When I tried to call to schedule a gas certified tech, the person said I would be called back, but I never was. I still have cold water.The Sunday tech named Jeremy was awesome. The customer service rep, not so much.
Service was available same day. Mario (4561) was very informative. Very friendly. Help me find the shut off valve since I just moved . Explained what he was doing and did a great job.

My tenants water heater was not making hot water. Tell your technicians were supposed to come between 10 and two no one came and then some other people were supposed to come and finally they got here somewhere around 6 o'clock and they were able to quickly diagnose that the switch to turn on the water heater was broken they gave me the information to do you know what I needed to do to call the people from Rheem and see if my water heater was still under warranty add I called them but it was too late and they don't work on Sundays .
Roto Rooter in Gulfport went to property same day within 4 hours. Transaction by debit card over phone. Service great, hoping this solved the problem!

I discovered a leak in the one of the apartments of a recently purchased four-plex so I contacted Roto-Rooter this past Sunday. Their customer service staff is very efficient and keep contact with you on appointment day. The plumber (Bill, Tech#1581) was excellent. He arrived on time, assessed the issue quickly, quoted a fair price for the work and completed the work during my lunch hour. I liked the customer service and the rep that came out was very honest and super helpful. The only issue I had was the price. It is not cheap! Bruce, the person that came out, was very honest and forthcoming about the price. He fixed the garbage disposal with no problem and also snaked the tub without difficulty. He arrived in a timely manner and was quick in his service. Roto rooter is great as long as you are prepared for the price. The tub snaking does come with a six month warranty which is helpful, and they will come snake your drain anytime for free with in those six months.

We were very nervous about having someone in our home to fix my mistake (ok, so I'm not a plumber!). Paul made us feel very relaxed, and got to the problem right away. He did his best to get the best price with the best work for us. He also quoted a couple of other things we wanted to get doneThe only problem we had was that we called on a Saturday night, and even though the website proclaims that they have 24/7 service, we weren't able to get anybody here until Monday morning. And our water ran...for 36 hours (we don't appear to have a local shut off valve).Thanks Paul!

Nick (2695) did a great job with unclogging the drain line on this rental property. Suspected that there may be a break and did a video of the line and sure enough there is. Will now get an estimate to replace the drain line from Roto Rooter. Was happy to find out that I will be credited for what I paid today to unclog the broken line toward the line replacement. Over the Memorial Day weekend, we discovered that we had a severe termite infestation and had to gut one bathroom down to the studs. Our bathtub was the original from when the house was built 45 years ago and had extreme difficulty in trying to remove the tub drain so we could take the tub out. We called a few different companies, we decided to go with Roto-Rooter New Orleans The tech Devin (tech 59) was very friendly and after giving us a quote, immediately got down to business and was able to take care of the problem. I give him 5 stars regarding his knowledge and ability to resolve our issue. If/when I need additional plumbing services, I will definitely call Roto-Rooter and request him by name.Tom H. Kenner, LA
Con artists. We had water backing up into our tubs. Roto-Rooter came and pulled our toilet up- ruining the new seal we had recently placed and ran 80 feet of line. Said they would have to come back the next morning to fix it because they only have one camera, the next was a Saturday and would have a charge for weekend work. Charged $300 for pulling the toilet and not resolving the issue. Didn't come the next morning, then said it would be between 2-4pm. At 3:30 they called to say they would be back on Monday. We couldn't shower or use our toilet. I would consider that an emergency, which they claim to do emergency plumbing. We called another plumber who said it was a muck line. 15 minutes later and at a fraction of the price Roto-Rooter wanted, our problem was fixed. The reviews for Roto-Rooter are probably friends and family, not actual customers. I would never recommend them to anyone. They also said they only have 1 weekend worker for the first weekend of November. Ridiculous that they claim to be open 24/7 but if you need weekend or after hour plumbing work, you may want to look elsewhere.

I have to say that from the moment my husband called Roto-Rooter the experience have been truly a pleasant experience. The communication and scheduling have been so convenience. The ladies Amy and Stephanie really worked very organized, clean and productive. Very easy to work with. My husband worked with Mark during the initial visit and was pleased with the service and knowledge and lastly I had the pleasure to work with Kasey (supervisor) in order to follow up with some questions and was super pleasant . Honestly the easiest company to work with so far. Thank you all for all your assistant with the demo and restoration to our home during our water leak.

I had Mr. Mike and Mr. Calvin come to replace a hot water heater and fix some things in the bathroom. They did a great job! Not only were they respectful and did exactly what we needed, but they were a pleasure to talk to! I found my A team plumbers and will only be requesting one of them in the future. The only reason I gave 4 starts was the lack of communication on the the administration side. I scheduled my appointment a week before, but the office failed to let the technician know so we had to reschedule and I had to take even more paid time off work. When I called to speak to someone about it my information was taken down and I was told the manager would call, but that never happened. I only continued to do business with this company because of their great technicians!*EDITED*I was later contacted by management who was very friendly and apologetic. The issue was quickly resolved and I will gladly continue my business with Roto Rooter.

Really enjoyed the plumber that was sent out. This was to service a restaurant. Plumber was great. However he did not get the drains to run. He kept blaming it on the grease trap being full. Grease trap was serviced less than 30 days ago and is not the problem. Had grease trap company come inspect and they agree that the trap is not the problem. Had Blue flash come out they were able to get it fixed. I will probably avoid using roto rooter for commercial accounts.
I called Roto-Rooter in the morning and not only were they able to send someone out same-day, it was within a couple of hours. The person that answered the phone was nice and answered all my questions and they even had a text sent my way when the technician was on his way. Nick was super friendly and did everything he could to keep his work space clean which was amazing. He was able to fix the clog super fast! 10/10, would use Roto-Rooter again!

Although they identified the water damage and explained what they needed to to in their “restoration” process they gave a quote of $1,500-$3,500 and did not tell me that they do not replace the walls or floors that they remove. That’s not restoration. That’s just water damage cleanup. The case manager was completely unresponsive to any attempts at communication. And they took more than a week to finish a very small space. I suppose the work they did do was acceptable but their communication and transparency is really bad.

I have used the Elmwood Roto Rotor 3 times now over the last 18 months for our business location. We have had continued sewer line problems. Last night when the technician was onsite clearing the line, he ran the camera to see what was causing the issue. We saw pea gravel. This morning, I have my staff dig a hole where we recently put pea gravel and we found a clean out buried in the ground broken and covered up with roof tiles. I called the Elmwood office at 8:20 am. They dispatched Roberto Blanco, he looked at the issue, informed me of the pricing and got to work. He completed the job, explained that he found roof tile in the drain line that he removed. The cost was $466.70 and I thought that was very fair.

This review is a follow up to a negative experience I had with the way a claim was handled by the plumber assigned to my call. I posted the review but did not report my issue directly to Roto Rooter as I probably should have.Anyway, short after posting my review I received a call from Michael, the business manager (could have been the owner the way he handled my issue)Micheal read my review in detail, he apologized for my negative experience and offered to reimburse the amount I paid for having my water heater pilot turned on. I expressed my gratitude to him and offered to at least pay for the diagnostic call; he explained that his company is based on customer satisfaction and said he would send a check for the total amount I paid (I will update this review once I receive it)My advice to anyone who has issues is to report whatever your issue is directly to the company.Michael, I greatly appreciate you taking care of my issue and please accept my apology for not going directly to you before writing my review.

The service is quick and professional however, my most recent experience was poor. During the excavation process (digging under my home) to remove and replace a drum trap technicians plugged up my air conditioning condensate line with mud so water wouldn't leak into their work area however they failed to inform myself and the tenants who continued to run the A/C causing water to back up into the house and damage floors in the hallway. I've informed the technicians and called the admin office but haven't heard back from anyone. I'm guessing damage caused by Roto-Rooter isn't covered by company policy which is unfortunate being you will pay a premium price. I was charged over $8k and ended up with damaged floors costing me another $4k.

My review comes as a contractor. With that said, I have very high standards of service. One thing that I never messed with is gas water heaters. Even though I knew mine was on the outs, I never replaced it. We just wanted to get as much life out of it as possible. This morning it died. Although I figured we were going to have to boil water to take a bath tonight. I called home office and told them the situation. Please know that I already bought a water heater with my business account at Lowe's. So when Mr Tony and Mr Jonathan was on their way, they stopped at Lowe's to pick up my water heater. When they came every aspect of their service was completely professional. To the point of making sure they knew every aspect of what they were doing. They may have left about a half an hour ago and my fiance and I cannot thank them enough. We have other work that we will be doing very shortly. We will be asking for Mr Tony or Mr Jonathan to be the ones that come out to the house. I am 100% satisfied with the service before the work. Also with them at my house. As well as them leaving this particular job site 100% clean as if they weren't even there. I highly recommend Mr Tony and Mr Jonathan as true professionals with the Roto-Rooter company. Service as expected. Installation very professional. Price well above estimate provided by technician from previous visit previous technician estimated installation for about $160. I was charged $300 I presented technician with $75 dollar coupon acquired via internet and he was surprised. Perhaps as a contract employee he felt the need to inflate price to cover $75 discount. In any case I will get estimate in writing if I need future service

Water valve to the Refrigerator was leaking. A copper pipe had to be welded and a new water hose installed. Reginald make sure everything was working well before he left. He cleaned up after he was done. He was very polite and professional.
Had a main line blockage that kept us from being able to use the washing machine, dishwasher, and even the shower for reasonable lengths of time. Nicholas A. showed up on time, explained the issues thoroughly, and was respectful of our space. He was quick and wildly efficient. Super thankful for the help.
Lester #452, my technician was wonderful. He explained the problem with my shower, what needed to be done, the expenses, and the year warranty. He went above and beyond because I asked him to make sure I didn't have an inside valve to shut off the shower which required him to move my washer. By the time he left my home, he was dusty and hot, but was very gracious and told me to call him if I had anymore problems.

I had a clogged tub. The man came out and ran the wire through the clean out to clear the line and it came through and some how broke through the side of the to toilet. It make a hole in the side of the toilet and then banged up the sheet rock and made a 2 inch hole in the wall.It was a fluke of a thing that happen. He said he should not have run the line from the drive way clean out to the house . He said he should have started it from the clean out under the house closer to the tub.The gentlemen was very apologetic and was very honest about what happen.He called his manager who said to make it right and buy a new toilet.He did buy a new toilet and installed it perfectly. He make sure everything was clean and working right. He said that the sink had a slow drain also but had nothing to do with the main line, that it was just the drain under the sink.I said to him that if he could unclog the sink and clean it for me that my husband could fix the sheet rock and he would not have to worry about that.His manager agreed to that and i signed a paper stating so.I did not blame Duriel for what happen , it was a accident and he handled him self very professionally .
We called Roto-Rooter because we had a toilet that was leaking from the tank and could not identify the leak. We first recieved a call to ask if someone was at our home in Harahan so they could fix the toilet. Unfortunately no one was at home but this was not a problem. They simply called again in about an hour. By that time my daughter was home and they came right over. They sent us two very helpful gentlemen who not only identified the problem, but went out of their way to make sure we got the right part we needed to stop the leak. The plumbers sent were courteous, prompt and even looked at our two other toilets for problems! They only charged us for one hour of labor and gave us a fair price. I will certainly recommend them to others!
Our plumbing clogged up at 11pm so I called around looking for emergency service. Roto-Rooter was the only one I could find that would commit to a repair time. They showed up within the committed window, evaluated the problem and went over the cleanout options and costs before starting the work. I appreciated that since other plumbers have shocked me with the price only at the end!They worked efficiently and quickly, protecting the floor as they went, cleared the clog, and reinstalled the toilet. Then they went over their opinion of the cause. They took the time to make sure I understood and had a chance to ask questions. I plan to use them for any plumbing work in New Orleans in the future.
This was the WORST experience I’ve ever had with a professional service. We’ve been canceled on for 5 days in a row with poor communication or incorrect information from their team. This has left us with a major inconvenience and no resolution on their end. DO NOT use Roto Rooter for your plumbing needs, find someone local who will not take your money and never show back up, to add insult to injury their dispatch is completely rude and not helpful.

Kevin really came to impress and brought his A-game for an excellent experience. I was greeted with a charming smile and a professional yet comfortably casual demeanor. He was open and transparent about the service and costs, and walked us through everything he was doing and why. I had a very challenging plumbing issue, and even though he wasn’t able to completely remedy the problem he kept at it for 3 hours outside in the heat, and even crawled under the house to check other pipes in order to narrow down what the issue might be. Only after he had exhausted every option within his capability did he reluctantly call it a day, and immediately made us an appointment for the next day with a colleague who he believed had the equipment and expertise in order to really get to the bottom of our issue. After ALL that; covered in dirt, sweat, and who knows what else he expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to try to solve this challenge and learn from it, and packed his equipment up with that cheerful demeanor never having dulled the entire time. (Even better; there was no charge due to the inability of the situationI myself am a physician and I recognize in Kevin those qualities that make a great physician: compassion, empathy, intelligence, a passion for the work, a love of learning, insightful diagnostic skills, and rapport-building skills that give people the comfort to trust that doctor with their lives.I am honored to have had the privilege of meeting such an exemplary person today.

Had a service call booked for 8-noon. About 11 had a contact call from RR to advise they were waiting on the next free plumber ...then another call an hour later...no avail plumber yet...Then at 1 a text from Calvin..on the way. While I expected no specific time, I did appreciate the communication as I was working from home. Job done with no slack time but I was never informed of their hourly rate (varies by market) so I was a bit shocked that they billed $239/hour. I was expecting a $99 service call, then an hour of labor- maybe at $100/hour so It was close to the figure-but the work was done right and no hassle. I had an online $40 coupon so I feel it was in the end a respectable service.

I've used Roto Rooter in the past without complaint, but this last time trying to use them was beyond ridiculous. I called on Saturday to get out a technician for a drain cleaning and a faucet replacement. They told me they could have someone out between 4-8 PM. Close to 7, I get a call that they can't make it and they've rescheduled me to Sunday, after 11:30.Come Sunday, close to 4, I get a call... Yep. You guessed it. They can't have anyone come out, but they should be able to help us out Monday, with a technician scheduled between 12 and 2.Come Monday....guess what? Sorry. Can we reschedule you to Wednesday? Meanwhile, my backed up kitchen drain is starting to cause the house to smell. Sorry, but no. Three times being rescheduled?Roto Rooter, you need to get your act together. If you're having staffing problems, I get that. But just give people realistic timeframes. If you can't take the work, don't put them on a schedule and then keep rescheduling them again and again. Just be honest that you don't have the capacity and let them move on.
Took 4 hours to fix my toilet. Kept trying to leave with my toilet not flushing properly. Finally unmounted the toilet after hour 3 and found the problem. My toilet is fixed and I’m happy about that. However, I am not happy that he didn’t think to unmount the toilet for 3 hours after seeing it wasn’t working properly but instead wasted that time trying to convince me it was working fine.After my original review the General Manager called me. He was very understanding and provided great customer service. We discussed my concerns and I greatly appreciate the care and the time that was taken to make things right.

I appreciated the level or professionalism from the Roto Rooter team that worked on multiple different issues in my home. Henry did a great job explaining the problems and how they can/should be addressed. I was particularly impressed with how he took the time to walk the assistant who was with him through each step. It was clear he took/takes a great deal of pride in his work product.Henry is hard working and very patient. When your toilet backs up who can wait till next week. It needs to be fixed and it needs to be fixed now. Roto Rooters 24hr service with same day appointment is crucial. I called 4 plumbers some answered none could come out for days. I don't know about you but I need to use the toilet today not next week. I had an excellent plumber name Nick #2695. He was fast courteous and trustworthy. Nick did an excellent job and scheduled me for a free Camera Inspection just to be sure he got the clog. They also offer a 30 day warranty on all work and the honor it. Try to find a plumber who will do that.

Service Technician, Sidney Dugas (#50), arrive at my residence in a timely fashion and hand a positive attitude. As he was working to correct the plumbing issue at my home, he was easy to talk to and willing to answer any question I had in regards to his troubleshooting process. He did all he could in regards to the plumbing issue with the drainage line as the drainage line still had a obstruction. I was pleased to hear that then next technician with video equipment would arrive the next day, free of charge. Dealing with Roto-Rooter was a terrible experience and I will never use them again. The only reason I contacted them was because my regular plumber was unavailable. I had an issue with a clogged drain that I've had other plumbers fix before. The Roto-Rooter quote to snake a drain was more than double the cost of a local small business plumber. Also, they were unable to fix the issue after sending out three different people over a two day period. Ultimately they told me my sewage line was broken and that it would require major excavation under the house and approximately $6,000 to fix. This seemed unlikely and suspicious to me. I was able to get my regular plumber out to look at it a week later and they said that Roto-Rooter's assessment wasn't the case and that the line was simply blocked and the pipes were in good condition.The three Roto-Rooter plumbers who came to work on the issue had not communicated to each other at any point and were not even aware that previous work had been done by Roto-Rooter. When I tried to explain the issue and what the previous Roto-Rooter plumber had tried I was ignored and time was wasted trying the same thing over and over again. It was obvious that these plumbers were there to follow a set workflow and not think critically to solve my problem. In the end it could have cost me a small fortune to pay for their oversight and poor judgement. What it did cost me was several hundred dollars, many hours of my time, a replacement p-trap that they broke and neglected to test before leaving, and a lot of effort cleaning up leaking water. All in all, this is a small price to pay to never have to deal with them again.
Very friendly and professional. Technician stayed until almost 11 pm installing my hot water heater. Would use them again and recommend them to anyone. The installation was top notch.

However the price was very high for 30 minutes of work, and I'm sure we could have signed something giving him permission to go up on the roof to snake out the line for a lot less. I will get other prices next time before I call Roto-Rooter. I think this price was too high. It would have been better for you to tell us when we made the appointment how much it would cost.

I highly do NOT recommend this company!!! They are a bunch of crooks that just like to steal people's money. We had them come out to unclog our bathroom drain, and they charged us an obnoxious amount of money to first just take the toilet off. Second, to stay for 30 minutes to barely unclog the drain and leave an obnoxious MESS behind in our bathroom. Two days later we had the same problems. they did not fix it the second time they came around, and now they are trying to charge us 10,000 dollars to fix supposed problem. Bunch of crooks that don't know what they are doing! Very frustrated!!!

Plumber showed up within an hour of my phone call and cleaned our main water line quickly and efficiently.
I had a great experience with Drew and Pranshak were very helpful. They were able to fix the plumbing issue. They have recommendations on how to improve us without being pushy. Very professional.
Call was placed at 11:40am and the service person had arrived at 1:00pm. The problem ended up being more than we thought but we had the right person there. Derek # 3416 was very polite and courteous every step of the way. He advised me of everything that was taking place and showed me in detail what caused the problem and offered solutions to minimize the risk of the same problem in the future. The ceiling/floor had to be ripped apart to get to the effected parts but he worked diligently to fix it and he did. I couldn't thank him enough and the call center for notifying me of his arrival. ***UPDATE- A manager in our area called me back after this review was posted. Apologized for how this was handled and said this is not how they do business. He refunded the $595 we paid. It’s nice to see a company care enough to respond to reviews and make things right!! This response showed they care and would make me more likely to use them again.Original Review*****A technician came out and ran the clean out machine through the sewer line to clear it out. Then a camera technician came a few hours later to run the camera in the line to let us know of there were any other issues. Charged us $595. We didn’t receive a copy of the camera footage and the camera tech told us the line was broken and that we also had a big sag in the line. He gave us a quote on the back of a business card for $18,905 to fix both. We never received an official estimate with diagrams of the problem area. He said it had to be fixed immediately and we couldn’t use our washer or dishwasher. We called to speak with the camera tech later that evening after our shock wore off. He then explained that he never definitively saw a brake in the line because his camera went under water.We had a different company come out the next day and they said the line was clear and no problems were there.I feel we were completely taken for $595 by Roto rooter and didn’t receive anything but stress and anxiety. Would NOT recommend to anyone. It seems like they are trying to make commission on work that doesn’t even need to happen.

Thank you for the excellent service provided to us today. Our kitchen sink was stopped up and your technician, Mr. George Hardin, Tech #2170, arrived minutes after you called us. He introduced himself, proceeded to the kitchen to assess the situation, gave us a quote for the service and, after we authorized him to perform the service, unclogged the pipes efficiently and quickly. He showed us some of the residue from the pipes, gave us informational tips on ways to keep the drain clear, cleaned up the area and left it in tiptop shape. Once the bill was settled he gave us our receipt, informed us of your company guarantee, asked if we had any questions, shook hands with us and left.Throughout the experience, Mr. George was prompt, professional, clean and efficient. Came to blow out subsurface drainage. Found a break in line less than 20 ft. Couldn’t finish blowing out line. Line still blocked, nothing was done. Technician said he would come finish job after repair. Paid the full price of $600. He sent for a person from the company to give estimate on repair. Said would cost $4,700. Stated I wanted another estimate and then when repaired I would call to have the job finished. That’s when he informed me I would have to pay another $600. What?? If I used them, they will finish job. If I use another company they won’t come back!! What did I pay $600 for!!! Called office to complain! Feel like I got ripped off!!!! Waiting for manager to call me back! Wouldn’t recommend to anyone!!

Was satisfied when he done it, but two days later had to come back. the first time the service man did not go far enought thus clot was not pushed out far enough. the second time three days later we had backup again, a different service man came and cleaned out the line all the way to the main line.
Mike and his associate were amazing. They came out to our rescue on short notice and was able to fix a clog and also scheduled us for another repair and a clean up crew without me having to worry. This is great considering that they relieved me from added stress of searching for a plumber locally! I would highly recommend Roto Rooter anytime! Thanks!

Our sewer backed up and we learned that the cast iron pipe under our slab house needed to be replaced. Our salesman Patrick Fitzpatrick was nothing but great. the excavation crew stayed until 8.30 at night digging the tunnels under our house to be able to replace the cast iron plumbing system the next day. Those guys are the best. cleaned up better than most construction crews. poured the new cement like it was second nature to them. Just a great job all the way around. If you need to replace your cast iron plumbing system. I would call and ask for Patrick Fitzpatrick and you cannot go wrong and will be impressed with the quality of workmanship and the quick job that was completed
This was our second time calling Roto Rooter. The first time we called was about a year ago; they came and assessed our problem without demanding any payment for the callout.This time we called for a routine service to clean out our main drain line. The dispatchers called in advance to confirm our scheduled time. The technician Anton arrived as scheduled. Anton was courteous, respectful, and took time to answer all of my questions. He worked efficiently and was done within an hour. He also made helpful recommendations for parts I could purchase on my own without the need to pay a professional to install them. I will definitely call again.

This is an updated review. Originally I gave 1 star. I've updated it to 3 stars based upon the response received from by review by the general manager. I originally called for after hours emergency services on a Friday around 6 PM. The agent logged my call and told me she couldn't schedule something immediately and that if I didn't hear back in 3 hours they would call me back in the morning to reschedule. I kept reiterating that I needed immediately emergency service. I did not receive a call back until 8:30 AM the next morning to schedule emergency services. Obviously because it was an emergency the night before I had to spend a few hours finding a different plumber for service and therefore one from roto-rooter was no longer necessary. This was a bit disappointing because roto-rooter advertises emergency services. After I placed the 1 star review the general manager called me to ask what happened. He explained that this must have been a mistake by that afterhours call center and he was sorry and would follow up with them so it wouldn't happen again. It appears the call center system may have been down but the agent forgot to follow back up procedures or something. But because of the managers concern and that he even gave me his cell number I changed my review to 3 stars. I will attempt to use them in the future if any further emergencies arise and will update my review again at that time.

My technician Reginald was great. Was very professional and did a great job. However the Roto Rooter service has been spotty at best. First they cancelled my initial appointment after I took off work and waited all day for a technician. They then promised me 10% my next appointment. On my next appointment they missed the 8-12 time slot and showed up at 3pm. I’m not sure I would trust them again after being led astray multiple times throughout the process.

On 10/07/20 A gas tech employed by Rotor Rooter installed a new gas line to my 92 year old grandmothers home! They failed inspection and we could not get a new gas meter! I spoke with Mr. McCloskey and he informed me that the reason I was calling them back was because I needed a permit. That was a lie I have the permit, all my grandmother needs is the test to be performed so the inspector can inform Atmos Energy to release the new gas meter. He also said he send someone out. 11/03/20 Rotor Rooter sent another tech, that corrected something that any Master plumber would know! I was told that the tech would be back today by 2 dispatchers. They lied this is the 3rd no call no show and they charged my grandmother 1450.00 for botched up job! This was done by the first tech!! Saturday will be a month dealing with Rotor Rooter and we still don't have hot water. I'm sure she's not the first. To the people that work for this company shame on you my grandmother 92 and blind.
I had a great experience with our tech Marco. He was very professional, made you feel comfortable, honest, and most importantly fixed the plumbing issues we had in our bathroom. He even went so far as to explain the process as he troubleshoot the issues. I would recommend.

The hot water pressure in my master bath tub was very low. This occurred after having my water heater replaced by another company. That company sent a plumber to try to fix the problem, but he was unable to. I called Roto Rooter and was impressed that they were able to send someone the same day, in less than an hour! My Roto Rooter plumber, Joshua, was prompt, pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. He solved the problem, despite the very old pipes and challenges that he faced. He was God sent. I highly recommend them because every person I've had to deal with was very professional and they were exactly what I was looking for. My tub drain pipe underneath my house has broken off and they knew exactly what the problem was and the best way to fix it keeping me informed the entire time. I'm currently getting my driveway excavated through them and as soon as they assessed the situation, they had broken up the concrete and started replacing the pipe the next morning even though I called them the night before! I was really impressed at how fast that they wanted to get my plumbing completed. 24 hour service and they guarantee their work for 5 years. Cant find that anywhere else! Extremely pleased!

Darrell (#886) from RotoRooter was sent to my home to address some plumbing issues in one of my bathrooms. I am completely ignorant when it comes to plumbing, pipes, and all that jazz. Darrell took the time to explain to me what the problem was, and explained the solution. He did his job quickly and efficiently. I really thought that it would take a lot longer than it did! He was super nice and I felt very comfortable with him. All issues were resolved and my bathroom is now a completely functioning bathroom again. I would definitely use them again in the future (although hopefully I will not have any more plumbing issues again anytime soon!) and I would recommend them (specifically Darrell) to anyone in need of this type of service. Did I mention that he was at my house to fix the problem the same day that I called and was there at the time that they said he would be there??? How often does that happen??? SO HAPPY I CALLED THEM!!!
I had a toilet stoppage in early December that ultimately required tunneling under my house to fix. Andy Lopairo was wonderful in expediting the work and getting the appropriate people to get the work done--on a Saturday! Jerome had to come twice to jet and then snake the piping and he was great. The plumber, Nelson, who I believe is subcontracted did a great job in the repair, but I will say that the dirt that was dug up sat around for about 2-3 weeks in the yard before it was filled in and then quite a bit remained on the surface that was supposed to be spread in the front to even out dips. It wasn't. It was just sort of spread in the back yard and is higher than the surrounding yard. The work itself was well done, as were the contacts I had with the official Roto-Rooter people. The follow-up wasn't as well done as I would have liked.

Tub drain was clogged. Made a call at 8:53 a.m. and service tech (#355) arrived within 40 minutes as scheduled. I am a return customer so Roto Rooter had all my contact information in their computer. Service tech was quick and explained the issue and how to avoid in the future. He also cleaned around the work area and the tub. It was nice to be able to give him my credit card and receiving receipt online was a plus. Will continue to recommend Roto-Rooter to other property managers and owners.
I have had a clogged drain for a while now, and I called Roto-Rooter on 12/29 and they came out on 12/29. They responded quickly and they gave us a heads up on when they were coming out. Marco, the technician, came out and followed all of the Covid Protocols that were mentioned in the phone call to set up the appointment. He quickly came in and inspected the sink that was clogged. He gave us two options to go with to unclog the drain. We went with the snake option and he was able to unclog the drain within 30 minutes. After, he cleaned up the mess around the area that he was working in. I would recommend to any family or friends to use again.Thank you

Mr. Devin Jones The Plumber who came out on a call back was very helpful in helping us to understand the problem we were having with our Plumbing and Drains .My only problem or complaint it Roto -Rooter does not do any clean out on roof vents which come to the main stack seems like it is a uncompleted service if the roof vent is not cleaned proper and could be a problem . But this is not anything to do with the technician it is more so to do with co. insurance but still after paying more than $250.00 I think it would be a full service Job and would be something to consider when looking to pay this kind of money to have this Kind of Job Done .Like I said our Plumber Mr. Devin Jones was wonderful ... Just seem to have his hands tied on the roof vent cleaning ..

This team was flat out excellent! Everyone was courteous, communicative, and honest about every step of the process. The work was performed with minimal disruption and done quickly. The only complaint I have is that the price seemed high--but luckily I haven't needed a plumber for quite some time, so perhaps the going rate to snake to drains is over $600. I did approve the work and the price before he did it, the surprise was then, not after the work was done.

Had a clogged toilet at 7 pm and was told it would be an hour for someone to arrive.After an hour called back and was told another hour. Hour later we were told they could not come out but they wanted to reschedule for the next day.Don’t let a $75 coupon fool you into thinking you would get professionally treated. Our plumber just left and HE WAS SO HELPFUL!! His name was Paul Schulz and he explained everything I needed to know. He was patient, gave me a lesson on how to restart our new disposal, and taught me how to keep it in good quality! I am so happy with our purchase and just registered for our warranty! James (Tech #2745) came out to unclog my toilet. He was very professional and straight to the point. He performed several checks and quickly determined that it was the main line clogged up. He climbed on the roof and got it fixed very quickly and didn't leave any mess. Have dealt with several other plumbers in Kenner in the past and was not very impressed. This time was different, he was very knowledgeable and hardworking. Will definitely call these guys back next time and request James.

I would have to say my experience thus far hasn’t been so great like the others. I honestly dreaded writing this review, but I figured it would possibly help someone else. I’m sure, like many, in the river parishes and surrounding areas, we all have dealt with out fair share of plumbing woes since infamous Hurricane Ida.Anywho, I called these guys because all of a sudden, my toilet (when flushed) backed into my tub. At the time, no other drains were giving me any issues, but the downstairs tub and toilet. The plumbers came and were punctual and very professional. They told me they would first try snaking the clean out and if they could not clear the blockage through the clean out, the toilet would have to come up. To make a long story short, the toilet had to be lifted. They lifted the toilet and cleared the line (so I thought). I paid a whopping $617.00. I was also told that while trying to snake the line through the clean out, going towards the house, there was “something” blocking it and I was shown some pipe fragments which usually signifies a deteriorating pipe. However, the plumber assured me that the line had been cleared (on the toilet and tub side) and that the “free” camera inspection guy should give me a call the week approaching (which was Mardi Gras week) to come and inspect the pipes.Well, nearly a week and a half had went buy and I hadn’t received a call from the camera inspection guy. Instead, I received a nice call from my main sewer line again. Yes, my pipes re-clogged again; however, this time, it was related to my lovely washing machine, toilet, and tub. It seemed that when my washing machine went into the rinse and drain cycle, my toilet drained and the water went into the tub. Fast forward, I of course called these guys again and was charged another 300.00+ (this price included a discount), although I was told I would not be charged by the representative. To make a long story short, the clogged was fixed (temporarily) and the camera inspection guy FINALLY came out a day after. He inspected the pipes and told me that the check valve was loose and it’s what causing the clogs. I also was shown the loose check valve on camera. He then quoted me a price of 4,500.00, which was insane. He was a very nice guy and every informative, but the price was ridiculous. Especially, when I just paid the company $1,000.00 for essentially nothing. For a temporary fix. I mean, that money could have went towards a permanent one, right?I’m still in the process of looking for a local plumber to get this issue fixed, so YES, I’m still dealing with clogs after a month (going on three months in total), but most importantly, after spending so much money. Anyways, if anyone is thinking about hiring this company for any plumbing work, I would suggest getting the inspection first and then proceed from there. Don’t throw away money like I did.
They were great they came out within an hour and finished the repair within 45 minutes .

Austin saved the day. House was filled with people Thanksgiving Day. One bathroom flooded Thanksgiving morning. Guest bathroom flooded morning after. Sewer line was cleared before noon.
Drain stopped up on a Sunday. When I called them, they were very professional on the phone. Their guy got here and quoted $449 to snake the drain. Their guy was professional, clean and courteous. The drain is now unclogged.
My service tech NICK 2695 was perfect in every way. He first arrived Thursday 05/12/16 & due to serious issue could not complete job with the toilet. He arrived the next day , early AM with my permission. He purchased a new toilet , price was great & on sale as well. Very pretty , better than toilet that was removed. I am pleased with his choice & purchase. He also snaked shower drain as it was slow. Nick was the best, courteous & professional. Will request him anytime. I phoned Roto Rooter as well as another well known company. The other company employee totally ignored the information I provided regarding my equipment. Informed me my repair would be $3700 (instant red flag).Once Roto Rooter employee arrived he listened to me, investigated my problems and repaired immediately. Repair was no were near $3700 as i suspected. He was busy had to wait 2 weeks for him. Totally worth it.

We called Roto Rooter Plumbing and Drain Services of New Orleans a few days ago for an estimate on drain cleaning. They sent out a nice gentleman named Devin Jones. He is extremely professional and personable, as well as knowledgeable. Today we had him come back and perform the services for us and he arrived on time and completed the job quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend Roto Rooter to anyone with plumbing issues. Ask for Devin and you won't be sorry.
I had water came from 2 bathtubs when using washer machine on Sunday morning. I called Roto-Rooter. I was very impressed that they have somebody standby and show up within an hour.He performed his work neatly and fixed my problems in couple hours.I recommend this service if someone has same problem with mine.

They charged us a thousand dollars for me to be with out hot water because they didn't know how to ventilate a water heater properly. The 5th photo shows how much more ventilation they simply needed for it to work. I would never reccomend them to anyone, they just stopped contacting us when we complained it still wasn't working blaming it on the water heater itself. I finally called another contractor and he was appalled at the shotty work, condition it was left in, and the price they charged. Him simply adding 6 inches more of ventilation and I have hot water after 2 months. Dont ever come here to a tankless water heater put in.

My service rep Mr. Dion was very professional and knowledgeable, he accessed my drainage and standing water problem. Mr. Dion what to work to resolve my drainage problem by dislodging the clogging in my drain. He did a great job and is truly a valuable professional and asset to Roto - Rooter.
I had a toilet clogged. The representative Charles was prompt and very knowledgeable. He was very clean and detailed throughout each step he had to take. He also took the time to clean up some of the mess that was already there prior to him arriving.
Had an issue with low water pressure on the hot side of my master bath tub. Their 24 hr service is not accurate, called at 10:00 pm, stated nothing available until 8-12 the next day. Got a phone call the next morning at 8 am stating the plumber would be there in 45 min. By 9:15, still not here. I called back, dispatcher said he was stuck in traffic and would be another 20 min. At 10:05, still not here. I called back, said he would be another 5-10 min. So my 8:45 arrival time turned into 10:15. Which, ok, things happen, but keep the customer informed!!The plumber that came out did not address my issue. He left, purchased valve stems from Home Depot, came back, changed out the valve stems on both sides, but couldn't get them to stop leaking. Said he only works on drains and I need a Master Plumber, who wouldn't be available until the next day. Charged me $50 for the cost of the 2 valve stems.I then called another plumber who was available that afternoon (even showed up on time). He had to replace the valve stems again, b/c they were the wrong kind, addressed and fixed my initial problem with no issues. Will never even consider using Roto-Rooter ever again. Horrible Experience!

My father resided in Arabi, LA and back in April 2020 while he was suffering with Terminal Cancer, his tubs and toilets were backing up. With COVID-19, it was hard to get a plumber to come out, so we called Roto Rooter. When Carlos from Roto Rooter came out, we were told that there was something obstructing the sewer pipe and they needed to dig a 15 foot tunnel under to slab to replace the pipe at a price of $9,300. The entire $9,300 needed to be paid up front before any work could be started and and this work came with a 5 year warranty.The workers and licensed plumber that Roto Rooter hired came out the next day and the work took 4 days. Roto Rooter’s hired plumber told us that the job was Complete and the 15 Foot tunnel just needed to be refilled. Carlos called us after this and told us we needed to do an additional $3,500 worth of work in order for the draining to work properly before the tunnel would to be refilled. Based on our conversation with their licensed plumber, that did not sound right, so we hired a 2nd licensed plumber to inspect the work. The 2nd plumber told us that there was no additional work needed and that the original plumber did good work on the extensive repair. At this point, I called Carlos’ manager to tell him that It seemed like Roto Rooter was trying to take advantage of my Dad’s situation based on what the 1st and 2nd Licensed Plumbers told us and Carlos is a Sales Guy and not a Licensed Plumber. The manager told me that this work was not needed at this time, but over 15-20 years, it may give us trouble. My father had weeks to live at this point.About 3 to 4 weeks later, the Tubs and Toilets started backing up again. We called Carlos to let him know and he told us that we would have to pay $500 for them to come out and that our warranty was not valid because we did not do the $3500 additional work, which was not done on the advice of 2 licensed plumbers. With my father’s declining health situation, we were not in a position to fight that this was not covered under the warranty from the $9300 job that was just done 3 to 4 weeks prior. We then hired a 3rd plumber who informed us that it was just a simple clog which cost $125 to have repaired.I would not use Roto Rooter again based on the way my father was treated. Not to mention, they would not honor their own warranty 3 to 4 weeks later, much less the 5 years for the same exact issue.

Extraordinary customer service! Sometimes things go wrong, like the 1st tech who came out and didn't fix my slow draining gutter problem, but charged me anyway. Ugh. But I spoke to a manager (Mike) and they sent another tech out immediately (same day) who diagnosed the issue and said I needed a Jetter cleaning. Mike applied the money I already paid to the new service which cost a bit more. Blake came out and was awesome! I saw all the work he was doing in my yard and after he fixed EVERYTHING, then he walked me around my house to show me the exit points where my gutters were draining so I could keep them free of debris. GREAT JOB RotoRooter, Mike and Blake for making sure the job was done right! Customer satisfaction at its best!

I usually do not leave reviews but I felt like this was one of those times I needed to. Both of my parents are elderly, in early dementia, and just overall not in good health. When my 30yr old son who lives with them to help them when needed, called me on the fourth of July to tell you me, you aren't going to want to hear this but the front room toilet is stopped up and no matter what I tried, it's not working. We automatically assumed it was paper towels. My mother has bladder issues and uses paper towels in there and even being told 100 times not to flush it, she does anyway. My regular plumber was closed for a long weekend. When it rains it pours, my dad started with a horrible stomach virus...need i say more. One word...disaster!! This could not wait till Monday. I called the first company that would come out on such short notice. He showed up, walked in the bathroom and walked out. He called me and said, I am sure you are aware that your parents bathroom situation is horrendous! He said, normally it wouldn't be this expensive but considering the fact we have to literally clean their mess it will cost around $600. I was crying inside and just said, we don't want anything done thank you. I called Roto Rooter. The lady that answers the phone could not have been more polite and helpful. She was so caring about what I had just been thru and sent someone out in just 45 minutes!!!! When they arrived they were instructed to call me first. My technician's name was Nick #2695. He was so polite and so reassuring that he would do everything to help. He said he would access the problem and call me right back. Within 10min or less he called me and said, Mrs. Dana, this is an easy fix and I will be done in no time. I said, yes know its probably bad in there. He was so nice and caring and said, not at all and said, the cost will be minimum and I even have a coupon for you to help out. How nice was that!! I tell ya, in about 15min or so he called me saying, all done. He said, no paper towels, this time a pair of scissors. I said, Nick, there's no telling lol...I paid the bill and off he went. The way I and my parents were treated from the beginning was exceptional and I was even told not to hesitate, if I needed them for anything to please call them. EDIT: I was contacted by the business after this review was posted. The general manager apologized for the issue and said I should not have been asked to sign the second form before service was rendered. He is taking steps to remedy the situation, so I changed the review to three stars.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I needed toilet repairs before guests arrived on Christmas Day. Roto-Rooter scheduling was easy online, two repairmen came as scheduled Christmas Eve morning, and performed the repairs as needed.However, they gave me three forms to sign:1) work authorization2) a form saying work was completed to my satisfaction3) a form releasing them of all liability of any damages caused.The two men told me I had to sign all three forms BEFORE they would do the work. I told them it was unacceptable to ask me to sign forms 2 and 3 since they hadn't done any work. They told me if I didn't, they wouldn't perform the work! Because of the holiday I was over a barrel, so I signed them, but I'll find a new plumber next time I need work done.

Tremendous service recovery from this company! After experiencing some miscommunication and posting a negative review, I received a follow up phone call from Mike, the local manager, and he was genuinely apologetic and offered very generous compensation.The team came out today (Derek, Melvin & Ray) and worked diligently until the job was complete. It is impressive when a company can admit to a poor experience, and work that much harder to turn things around. I would recommend this company and will use them in the future!

My experience was as great as imaginable. The plumber who came to help me was aware of my situation, helpful, friendly, and attentive. I’m so glad to have worked with him.
The technician who provided the service was totally professional and was also personable during the service call. He is 5 star!On the other hand, the appointment was scheduled a full day in advance. They missed the 4 hour time window totally, then missed the next 2 hour window totally and finally succeeded in keeping the 3rd 2 hour time schedule. I understand about difficulty in timing with all of the COVID-19 regulation, but then just say so and schedule appropriately.

We had an after hours emergency that required late night services. Drew was very professional and punctual, calling when en route. He arrived at the stated time and worked extra long, troubleshooting the issues. He devised a plan and advised accordingly. He stated that he would begin work but may need to return the following day to complete if supplies were needed, given the late hour of the emergency call. Drew returned the next day at the scheduled time and worked diligently to move to the repair. It is extremely refreshing to find someone who is prompt, detailed, and professional. A top rate experience for this service call

I'm glad I didn't try to waste more money on chemicals and do it yourself programs that can not video the inside of the pipe to determine the problem as I did the last few backups of my toliet..

On March 24, 2016, I had a problem with my toilet not flushing properly. I called Roto-Rooter for the first time. The lady who took the call, was very helpfull. The tech arrived in a timely manner. Herb, #94, listened as I explained my problem. He then explained everything to me. I have to say that he worked very hard to try to solve my problem. After about two hrs., he pulled my toilet, and found a broken pipe. Herb explained everything in complete detail to me. He explained the work that would have to be done. I have never had such a person as Herb, that was so professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I will be using your company to fix my sewer line pipe.

We were very happy with Roto Rooter's work when our second story shower leaked through the first floor ceiling. My only complaint was that the cost was a little high. Sidney (tech #50) was excellent in terms of his knowledge of the problem and ability to fix it. Though he seemed to work a little slow at times.
Jonathan Childress and Tony Landry were the two service technicians that Roto-Rooter sent for my service call. They were able to come out to help me the same day. My hot water heater busted this morning. They picked up my new hot water heater from Lowe’s and brought it to my house and replaced my old one. They went above and beyond in my eyes. These gentlemen where extremely polite, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. They walked my fiancé and I thru everything and made sure we understood and was comfortable with each step of the process as they were doing it. I can’t say enough about these gentlemen.

Great experience with Roto-Rooter. Nick was sent to help me out with a stubborn bathroom drain and was quick to arrive, pleasant to be around, and fixed the problem without any trouble!
I am a new homeowner and called Roto-Rooter to give me an assessment on a leaking kitchen faucet. They sent Shane, who took a look under the sink and said to me that the entire faucet was bad and would have to be replaced to the tune of ~$750 ($350 for a new faucet and up to $400 for installation). A friend told me this sounded like bunk--that an entire faucet being bad is a rare situation and it could probably be repaired. So I investigated. Turned out I have a single handle Blanco faucet that retailed for upwards of $800 and that the mixing cartridge in single handle faucets gets build up in it over time that will cause it to leak. One $35 replacement mixing cartridge later, and my faucet no longer leaks. I know that man knew good and d@mn well my faucet was not shot. He is a stain on the good name of Roto-Rooter, and I will never ever call upon them again.

We received a call from a tenant the Sunday before Memorial Day that sewer had begun backing up into bathtub. We called Roto-Rooter about 12:00pm. We really didn't think they would be able to respond the same day. The woman who answered the call was friendly and professional. She said they could handle the call later the same day. We got a 3-hour time frame, and about an hour or so after our request a technician called to say he could be there in 30 minutes. We manage the property ourselves, but neither my brother nor myself could get there. The tenant said that he would be about 15 minutes away. We notified the tenant, who met the technician. He diagnosed the problem, gave an estimate over the phone, which we approved. After the work was done the technician called back with the results and took payment over the phone. In under 4 hours the problem was resolved, on a Sunday, before a Monday holiday. Can't ask for more than that.

Last week @ 9pm water suddenly backed up in the tubs on BOTH sides of my double in New Orleans. As a Realtor, I knew other plumbers, but being so late, I couldn't reach them so I called the emergency line at Roto Rooter. They came out within an hour to assess the problem. The technician, perservered for 2 hours until he resolved the issue. Then, the next day Carlos & Barrett called to follow up and met me at the double to do a thorough follow-up!! I manage a salon in the French Quarter and when our toilet gives us problems, of course it doesn’t send an email saying when it will happen - haha! It’s hard to find a plumber to come out the same day something goes wrong, which is why I chose Roto Rooter - same day service is *crucial* for a business like ours! Nicholas (Alphonso) was prompt, polite, and his service was expedient. When I asked some questions regarding pricing, he was able to explain everything to me in a way that was understandable. We will definitely be using Roto Rooter again!
Thanks to Dwight (1485) the tech that came to fix my garbage disposal. He was very efficient. He removed the old disposal, which was in bad shape, and replaced it with a new one. He kept the area clean and stayed to make sure that there were no leaks. He was a nice, respectful and a pleasure to talk with. The reason I keep calling them to come back to fix my plumbing problems are the great service and the dedicated technicians that come out.
When my tub clogged over the weekend, I did not expect that I could receive service first thing on Monday morning. I was pleasantly surprised to have a plumber by 8:00 AM! Jeremiah politely listened, then investigated to determine the best way to proceed. He presented two options so I chose the better option. He worked carefully and efficiently, resolving the issue to my satisfaction. Highly recommended!

Had a leaky pipe under the sink. The employee added an extension to make the pipe longer. When he was done he double checked for any leaks. Added a seal that looks like a washer which went at the top of the pipe by drain. Fixed the toilet. He did a great job and explained everything well of what the problem was and why it was a problem.
I had plumbing problems and I live in the New Orleans area so I decided to call Roto-Rooter. The technician, Devin Jones arrived within the service window. Before starting, he called me with the price and details of the work. After it was done, got a call again, explaining the work that was performed and that I wouldn't be having anymore problems. My service provider, Paul Swartz, came to my home Sept. 17 to assess what I needed to have repaired. Had quite the problem at the homestead today. Had Roto-Rooter come out as an emergency. The emergency was a sewerage backing up into the house. A very profession young man named Damien, responded for my call for help. He was very curtious, respectful and professional. I explained to him that my sister (who is staying at my house since my wife passed) was going into the hospital tomorrow for health issues. He went above and beyond to try to resolve the issue but could only get so far and actually felt guilty that he couldn’t at least relieve us of the stress that he was there for.I appreciate this young mans integrity and concern for his customer and fellow man. I would recommend him personally to anyone.As for the resolution of the issue, he assured me that he was going to pass on the importance of resolving my issue as soon as possible to the proper people ... himself.Good job young man. I appreciate you and wish you the best. And if I ever have another problem, I will be asking for you personally!As a follow up the next day another guy came by to run the camera through Authenticator pipes and wound up randomingly coming up with a figure that was so far out of bounds that it was an obvious attempt to take advantage or a way out of not doing a job that he didn’t want to do.In either case another company came and gave an estimate that was 1/4th the cost of Roto-Rooters estimate. So buyer beware and shop around. Needless to say, Roto-Rooter was not invited back and the company that was hired diagnosed the problem, cleared the pipe temporarily and will be back in a couple days to replace the pipe from the house all the way out to the street as well as hauling off all the concrete an bring in sand to fill.

I hired Roto-Rooter because my drains were backing up into the bathtub. They came out and charged me over $600 and then told me that the clog was on the city side of the pipes and to call Sewage & Water Board. SWBNO came out the same day and was free. I highly recommend calling SWBNO for any drain clogging issues before going to Roto Rooters. They were extremely expensive, left my house dirty, and left my toilet leaking and refused to fix it.

The service professionals arrived on time, addressed my issue promptly (clogged subsurface drains in my backyard), explained the problem to me in terms I could understand, offered solutions as to how I could avoid the problem in the future, cleaned up after themselves, and left my property the way that they found it with my drains unclogged. This is the second time I have used Roto-Rooter for this issue over that last few years and I have been pleased with the service and very happy with the results both times. I plan to use Roto-Rooter again in the future.

The technician was nice and professional and the drain seems to be clear. The issue is he would not provide a warranty because he couldn’t remove the clean out cap so he had to use a very small snake to clear the drain. I don’t think it is our fault he couldn’t remove the clean out cap and I think we should have been provided a warranty for this work regardless. After paying $375, I expected a warranty.

A bit pricey for service but it came as a package for cleaning my main sewage line, and they'll be back to video line as well (maybe it's cheaper if I had opted out of this?) Nothing worse than having your kitchen sink, disposal and dishwasher backed up. I tried unsuccessfully to clear the clog myself. When I called Roto Rooter I was surprised they made evening appointments at no extra charge. The serviceman Devin Jones arrived at 8 pm as scheduled and was professional. He explained the charges along with the six month warranty for his work, plus I was able to use the $40 off online coupon. His equipment was clean and when one tool didn't work he promptly went to the van and got a smaller unit, which cleared out the clog. What a relief to have our sink, disposal and dishwasher back working the same evening. Devin Jones is a veteran of the Iraq war and I enjoyed talking with him about his experiences in Iraq while he completed the work. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter for promptness, quality of work, reputation and the warranty.

The young gentleman that came out to my house to fix the clogged drain and my toilets were leaking from the bottom of the toilets and my tubs weren’t draining so he had a job on his hands and he got right to it and he told me the different options he could do for me also he was so polite to me and he cleaned up his mess afterwards and he asked me flush both toilets so that I could see that they were both working correctly i would definitely refer my family and friends to use this place of business for any plumbing issues I’d like to thank the young gentleman for fixing my drain problems
Called Sunday, didn't get service until Tuesday 9am. Toilet was old and keep running and valve was rusty and could not turn off. I had all the new parts needed to repair toilet,New valve,water line and toilet insert. For this 1/2 hour of work, I was charged $292.50 !! This was afte r after my 10% discount given for the delay. The original amount was $325.00. A new Kohler toilet cost $279.00. I'm 76 years old and taking advantage of seniors ,is not a good look for roto-rooter.

Roberto Blanco the Service Technician for Roto-Rooter was great. He came out on a Saturday & helped with a hot water heater issue. It was great! He is competent, detailed & extremely helpful. He fixed a leak in the hot water heater valves- which had water pouring everywhere on Friday late at night. What felt like a disaster turned into a non- issue because of his help.I would recommend Roto-Rooter & Roberto to anyone, especially in an emergency.

Update 7/14/23 - I had a positive interaction this evening with Andrew when he came out to my home. He thoroughly investigated the issue and explained the best plan to resolve. He was friendly and positive, a true professional.An appointment was set, but the technician didn't arrive at set time. The company explained there was a scheduling conflict and they would have the technician still come out, but just a little bit later than planned. The technician did show up at the later time, explained the process, completed the clean out process, and gave tips on how to best ensure a continued good outcome. Until it rains I may not notice the full effects of the service work completed, but glad to have this maintenance work completed.
The service tech, Nick arrived within the timeframe setup, was professional and informative. He was able to quickly unclog the line.

We had a 15 year issue with a clogged vent that finally got to the point where the washing machine could not drain into the sewer and overflowed onto the floor. I knew it was a problem because several plumbers had identified the issue and threw their hands up with not being sure if it was the clogged vent or a break somewhere in the plumbing. In comes Henry with roto-rooter totally undaunted. Henry was above average in every category. Great problem solving skills and also just a good human being in that he made us aware of what was needed and the associated cost which I know was reasonable based on experience. Henry's work ethic is old school and super nice to see these days.

Last night we had emergency toilet overflows in two bathrooms. Called Roto Rooter and they were here first thing in the morning. Our technician was Lester Simmons and he was an absolute pleasure! Lester was extremely sweet and professional, and he also had excellent social distancing practices. He took a look at our water heater and immediately gave us 2 options - pay to have him fix the problem or fix it ourselves (since my husband is quite handy). We choose to fix it ourselves and Lester happily gave us all the information we needed to feel empowered. Lester even gave us his business card and work number to call him directly just in case we end up having issues. I highly recommend Lester and Roto-Rooter anytime you need plumbing work done!

Kenneth came out on 6/29 to take a look at our drains that would not drain, very knowledgeable, friendly and explained everything to us. He wasn’t able to unclog the drain after a few hours of trying but we had Blake come to our house on 6/30 and he was able to unclog with a different type of clean out and even found our drain to the street. Quick response, extremely satisfied and will recommend. Will use Roto-Rooter again for any future needs.

I had a Saturday 10a.m.-2 p.m. appointment window. The dispatcher called me 30-40 minutes prior to the Tech's arrival as expected, around9:20. Nick, the tech promptly arrived at 10 and after I explained the issue, he explained the pricing policy and procedures he would use. I agreed. He quickly and efficiently went to work. The issue could not be resolved today (oak tree roots!), but, explained another tech would be out today to do a video and give me the detailed estimate for the complete project. We called for an emergency clean out of a line due to a toilet backup on a Sunday afternoon. That part was done quickly and professionally. However, we were told someone would come out with a camera to scope the lines the NEXT DAY and tell us if there was a problem. This actually took two days and several phone calls before it happened. When they came to scope our house, we felt as though we were being nickel and dime'd to death as they could only scope part of the house without extra charges. They found a slight dip in the line, said it voided our 6 month clean out warranty and quoted us an exorbitant amount of money to fix it. Glad they cleaned out my line, but I will probably not call them again. Getting a second scope and a second opinion on the need to repair the dip. Also, the water remediation section of Roto-Rooter was supposed to come assess the flooding in my hallway and remove the wet carpet. This has still not happened and my husband removed it instead.

Service technician Harry Mason was amazing! My kitchen sink was clogged over 50 feet and needed to be snaked. Came home to standing water and a massive clog in my kitchen sink. Called Roto-Rooter and a technician arrived about 45 minutes later. George Hardin (tech #2170) quoted me a price, showed me the problem and gave me tips to prevent the issue in the future. I'm very pleased with the outcome.
Overall great experience with this company. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the service professional I talked to for the appointment but he was courteous, professional and asked questions helping to figure out the problem. He was able to schedule me within a day. Next day Lester showed up and did an awesome job researching the problem, explaining the situation, costs, and next steps. He also listened to a detailed explanation of the problems the leak was causing and eventually found it and able to fix it during the same visit. He was respectful and professional. Would definitely recommend this company.
I have used Roto-Rooter in the past and they were fine, but as of now (late 2021), I can say that they must have a policy of overbooking. I made an appointment at 11am, for a technician to come between 3pm and 7pm. At 6pm, I called to get an idea of when they might be coming over (it was for a drain clog that essentially made my kitchen unusable), and was told they could not get ahold of the dispatcher but would leave a message for them to call me. By 6:40pm, I had gotten no call back. I called again, and again, was told that they could not reach the dispatcher but would leave a message. At 7pm, I again called and this time was transferred to the dispatcher and then their system cut me off. I called back, now around 7:15pm, to cancel the service, and the person on the line was really indignant, retorting that this is a high call-volume area, and saying, Well, I'm SENDING a technician! and said they should be there in 30 minutes, but I did not believe him. He clearly was not on his way when I called, and if they are so overbooked that the dispatcher doesn't even have time to call a customer back who has asked for an update more than once, then what is the chance that the technician is going to make it in the promised timeframe? Despite having advance notice (4 hours in advance) AND a 4-hour timeblock, they still did not make it.No, I certainly did not believe they would make it out in any decent timeframe at that point. I cancelled, and called Mr. Rooter instead. They said they could come the next morning, had 2-hour timeblocks, but showed up right on time at the beginning of the timeblock. Their plumber was professional, efficient, and courteous as well as being on time. Guess who I'll be calling from now on?

A leak was found on Friday, December 17th, whuch was corrected expeditiously,, four plumbers were called, Roto-Rooter was the only one who kept their word and came out to assess the problem. I have to boast and brag about your employee SHANE, who was informative, patience, and polite. Before I could ask a question, he informed me of the problem, how it would be handled and the time in which it should take. Your company hired a man with heart for his job. 👋
The General Manager of RR contacted us immediately about our complaint and has resolved the issue to our satisfaction.We were told by a Roto Rooter video inspection technician that the PVC, connected to the terracotta pipe was misaligned. To correct that, the terracotta line would have to be trenched for 15 feet to level the pipe. Also we were told that the terracotta pipe was old and the joints were probably coming apart. He additionally advised that we should trench all the way to the sewer connection. He said the misalignment was causing water to back up. We were not shown the video and the cost for this would be approximately $5000 or more.The video technician claimed the misalignment occurred after April 2019 when RR installed a new PVC sewer line from the house to the terracotta line for which we paid over $12,000.We decided on a second opinion. We hired a professional who disputed all of the claims made by the RR technician. The professional, also advised that we were not responsible for repairs to city line past the terracotta cleanout.
The toilet in one of our guest rooms had a broken piece of porcelain near the toilet flange. We called mid afternoon for and appointment, it was scheduled for the next day. Thankfully, there was a cancellation and the plumber (Troy) was able to come out the same day to remove the old toilet, and install a new one. Fast, Friendly, and Professional Service! Many Thanks!

Nick (ID# 2695) did a fantastic job unclogging our main sewer line. We deeply appreciated his attention to detail and thoroughness, including checking that the clog was truly gone twice over. We have used their service now twice in the past month and both times have been a great experience. Both technicians that we've had (Nicholas and Jeremiah) were friendly, polite, professional, and kept us informed during the process.
I like using Roto-Rooter because they are reliable. They always give a time window, call before they arrive, and have never been late in my experience. Also, though I have had instances where the plumber has left without completely fixing the issue, they always send the person back to fix it properly at no extra charge. We had an incredible experience with Roto-Rooter of New Orleans, and would recommend to anyone needing a plumber to service their plumbing. We called on Memorial Day, because our tub was clogged up, due to hair. We had a plumber in less twenty of calling them. Our plumber, George, was polite and was able to solve the problem in twenty minutes and any questions that we had.

Plumber was not able to fix the problem but instead caused more problems. He did not have a fan or wet vac for the water he caused to go through the house, left the restroom full of feces that we had to clean up ourselves. I called other plumbing service and they were able to fix the problem without causing a mess. Roto Rooter owes us a refund as well as compensation for water damage. Roto Rooter is horrible do not call them ever for service. You will regret it.

We had a plumbing issue on Wednesday evening and called Roto-Rooter. They advised that someone would be there between 6pm-10pm. They kept us informed on the progress of the plumber the entire time and soon we realised that it was getting quite late and even if the plumber did come after 10pm, it would be just be quite late to do anything. So we re-scheduled for the next morning. They advised the plumber would be there between 8am-10am. The plumber arrived after 8. His name is George Hardin. What a pleasant guy! He explained the issue to me and explained to me in detail what he was going to do, etc. I found it all quite useful as I have no clue when it comes to plumbing. He was meticulous about not leaving any mess considering it was a plumbing issue and fixed the problem in no time with no issues. He left leaving the place clean and tidy. I handed him a check and he was on his way. He did tell me that the service comes with a 6 month guarantee - which is quite useful to know. if you do decide to use them, then i really do hope you get George!

I contacted Roto-Rooter for a toilet issue, the person I spoke with told me someone would be out at the time frame that was given, the operator forRoto-rooter kept me updated to when a plumber will be available and amount of distance the plumber was from my home. Upon arrival of the plumber Jeff and trainee Reginald, they were both respectful of my home they greeted me ask where the issue was. ( while following safety guide lines due to COVID-19) I took them to the area and they both communicated well with me and kept me calm while they examined the area of the issue. Once they came up with a solution to fix the issue, they educated me on what was going on, told me a price and about the warranty. Jeff and Reginald told me anything they made a mess with they would clean it up. I left the gentlemen in the area while they repaired the issue. These guys weren’t at my home a whole hour before they were done and like they stated they really did clean up the mess sanitized their work. If I could have given six stars, I would have. Stanley did a phenomenal job and even gave some tips and pointers for future reference.

Roto Rooter has been to my house at least 7 times with at least 5 guys for the same issue. Every. Single. Time. I had to explain from scratch the issue, and what the last guy said or did about it. Half of the times they came they did not do anything, or looked at the issue and determined it needed another expert, just like the last guy said. This business needs to get its line of communication together because my time to sit around and wait for them and my patience to explain the entire issue to every different person at least once a week is getting small.

Our family has been using Roto-Rooter for about ten years. Each time they have been great to us and our home. The most recent visit was to have a new toilet installed in our home. Jamard was so great. He came to the house, completed the estimate, and then explained our options to us. He took the old toilet out and then went to pick up the new one. While picking up the toilet he went the extra mile to ensure that all of the pieces and parts were included in the box so that nothing could go wrong with the install. Once he was back at our house he began putting the toilet together, going so far as to explain certain parts of the process to me to ensure our understanding of what was taking place. We really appreciate all of the hard work.

Had trouble in our system for years. Had different plumbers out at LEAST twice a year for 4 years to unclog main line. Was always told it was a dip in the line.Today the two techs from Roto Rooter came out and unclogged. However, when I told them I'll be calling in a few months, they put a cam in the line. No dip...just a massive build up of sludge for 12 feet.They then cleaned out the sludge completely. No one else even bothered.I'm willing to bet that that line is going to be clear for years.Very nice!

Unfortunately Roto-Rooter was my second call. I called another local company first because of a previous relationship and was left in worse condition than I started in. Thankfully Roto-Rooter was available to come out late afternoon on a weekend and quickly locate and resolve my issues for a better price and with excellent customer service from the technician (Ryan #3399) that handled my issues. Do yourself a favor and make Roto-Rooter your first call. I know it'll be mine if I ever find my self in need of plumbing services again.

The appointment was scheduled quickly and the team was thorough and professional throughout. They also tidied up well when they finished.
An employee named Mr. Blanco. Fixed my toilet and pipe under the sink. Excellent customer service and explained what the problem was. He saw that the pipe was a little short and didn’t have a seal under the drain which is supposed to be attached to the pipe so it won’t move. He added an extension pipe to make it longer. He put in a stainless steel ring in on top of the sewage pipe. Put the screws in and put the toilet back. He did say the toilet never should be sealed around the base to stick to the floor.The ring with the screwswill hold it . For both jobs he did, he double checked he did the job right and they were no leaks from the toilet or the pipe. Great job well done. I would highly recommend Roto Rooter to anyone.

My main sewer line backed up and water overflowed overnight into two bathrooms. I called on a Saturday morning and a technician came out soon afterwards. Both the person I made the appointment with (Andre) and the woman who gave me a courtesy call to let me know the plumber was on the way were helpful and professional. When Blake (tech #1329) arrived, he clearly explained my different options and prices for each. He was able to discover with a camera that small pieces of brick had been pushed into an uncovered clean-out underneath my house and the debris was causing the blockage. Using jets, he was able to clear my line of the debris and had me up and running in no time. The entire time from my initial phone call to the problem being completely fixed was less than three hours.

I loved my first roto-rooter experience! Nicholas from the New Orleans area was not only professional, but realistic and charismatic. I just had purchased my home two days before things went array. My new washing machine’s drain had hit the fan. He was on sight within twenty minutes, when I was told to expect a forty-five minute wait. Upon arrival and inspection of the washing machine, he immediately identified the issue that was going on with my washing machine. After was all said and done, Nick also recommended the enzyme the drain cleaner. He explained that it was more than a “liquid plumber” and that it more so protected the pipes from acid erosion (from liquid plumbers) and that enzyme would eat the gunk rather than dissolve. I highly recommend his and roto-rooters professional and accommodating business practice! Could not have asked for a better plumber! Thanks, Nick!

Roto-Rooter was literally the 4th place I called to come out and fix a clogged pipe. Place number 1 came out and after 3 hours was unable to fix the clogged pipe (but still charged me, of course). Place number 2 promised that a technician would call me back, and I never heard from them. Called again and was promised an immediate call back from an on-call technician, it's been a week, I'm still waiting. Place number 3 said they were not accepting new clients at this time. Place number 4 , ROTO ROOTER, could not have been easier to work with! The person who answered the phone was very kind and helpful. She said she would have someone out to my house within the hour, and SHE DID! She said they would quote me a price upon arrival and if I felt that the price was too high or unfair, there would be no charge for them coming out. Austin showed up within the hour and was extremely polite and professional. He was able to unclog the pipe, and even called his supervisor to see if I could get a few dollars off since I had already paid another plumber $400. I only wish I had called them FIRST instead of wasting my time. My pipe could have been fixed on Day 1! They will definitely be my first call next time we are in need of a plumber. Our sewer line backed up at 1pm on a Saturday. I saw the great reviews on Google and called. Tony was at our house within an hour. He was nice, funny, efficient and overall very polite. He had the line unclogged in about 20 minutes. I was very happy with the service and hope I get Tony next time something like this happens!
Roto-Rooter sent George (Tech #2170) to my house to unclog a stubborn shower drain. He was very polite and explained in full detail what needed to be done. He also offered savings in addition to a coupon that I printed online. My shower drains good now and even came with a warranty. I would definitely recommend Roto-Rooter..............and George!
Right before I was suppose to go on a cruise, my sewerage backed up. I called Roto-Rooter plumber out of New Orleans (Metairie) to unclog the drain but it could not be done. They then called another technician to help but he could not get it done either and stated that an underground branch caused it to back up. Then the same day, a camera guy came out and saw the branch. I left on my cruise and while I was gone, they fixed the problem. They dug a hole and replaced the underground pipe. Three different people came out all on the same day which was beyond the call of duty. I was very impressed with their attitude and how attentive they were to my needs. Great customer service for sure.
This company will lie to you until they can't lie no more. Good luck on trying to get them to come out after 5:00 p.m. I work for apartment complex. And they told me on three different occasions when I needed service that the truck was broken and will not be able to come out till the next morning. But they advertise 24 hours service... if you need service anytime that's close to 5:00 is best to look for another company.

I had some drainage issues that needed to be looked at. Austin gave a thorough explanation of the work, why he was doing it, and presented the cost before starting. There can be price shock for some, but piece of mind and the efficiency the job was completed is well worth the reasonable cost of service.I used the web chat to set up my appointment. Nick was very informative and friendly when he came out for our follow up visit. He provided me with detailed options of what would solve the issues we were having. He was also patient and understanding while answering my questions and listening to my concerns.
UPDATE - Rotor-Rooter made it right! The manager called with an apology for the problems, and he credited the service call.ORIGINAL - My credit card was charged over $450 for leak detection. The technician said he determined a location of the leak, but he refused to mark the location on the ground. I asked him several times. It has been more than four days and I have not received a call or any report of the results of the investigation.
Roto Rooter gave excellent service and was well represented. I called on a Monday and a Tech was here by Tuesday. My tech was Mr. Hardin #2170, one of the best techs I ever had. He took the time to explain everything that was happen with my drainage and walked me thru what was needed to be done to correct the problem. Knew what they were doing, a shower leak from the shower head they knew how to address the problem three screws removed the plate got the part replaced it. Three screws and they were done, very professional.
Had a great experience with Roto Rooter service tech George Hardin (#2170) this morning. He was professional and clearly communicated what he was doing. After the first snake was unable to clear the drain to his satisfaction, he took the extra time to clean the pipe again with a larger snake. He worked efficiently, cleaned up when he was done, and made us feel the that job was completed to a high standard before he left. Appreciate the hard work.
Wanted to charge me $299 ++ for a clogged kitchen sink?!?! Didn’t bother asking if I have a cleanout vent or any info about “hey tell me what’s the problem.?” Or saying anything for that matter. Didn’t even say good morning when I opened the door and let him in. Looked under the sink and quoted $299. Ridiculous. We had the same sink unclogged by (actual) plumbers now 3 times over the last 14 years... and have paid between $90 and $140.(Called Earl’s they showed up in 45 min, finished the job, $170!!)
This business gets one star because when I called, I asked the lady that answered if she was in a local office in new Orleans. She hesitated and said yes. I then asked her the location of the office and she replied that it was in the downtown area there. I pressed for more information and she responded that she really didn't know the area because she has just moved down here to live with her aunt. Was complete BS.The technician was prompt and professional, but I though the rate quoted was just a bit high. Also seemed as though he was ready to start before quoting a price, but I do not know this for sure. I did ask for the price, which he gave to me very quickly.All in all, the person on the phone seemed dishonest and was a turn-off for me.
Mr Ray was sent out to unclog a toilet drain in a difficult to reach bathroom on a second floor. He was very professional, efficient, effective, knowledgeable, and clean. He got the job done perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I called for an apt. the night before and was the first service call the next morning at 8:30 am. George was a great rooter technician and serviced our job incredibly well and quickly. He was polite and brought his equipment into the house and respected our wood floors by handling the equipment carefully. I had service for a drainage/clog issue I'm having in my home. I chose Roto-Rooter because they work on weekends and the problem happened on a Sunday. They do not charge a mark-up for working on weekends which impressed me. I had toilets not flushing if I was trying to do a large load of laundry, take a shower, etc. at the same time. Very polite and professional, did not make a mess in my house, cleaned up after finished, etc. Unfortunately snaking the drainage line did not work. Pricing was very fair I felt considering that the issue was not resolved. I was also given a $40 discount via online coupon. Technician, Damien, immediately put in request for follow up camera inspection to try to determine the issue which was included in the price I paid for the line snaking. They called me first thing next morning to schedule the appointment which is today. Hopefully the camera inspection will reveal what the drainage problem is.

It is obvious to me that customer service is of great importance and I greatly appreciate that. I decided to change my score based on the company response. Thank you.This review is based on the customer service I received and logistic operations. A Tech never made it out to my home. Details in the review.My initial appointment was scheduled on Saturday for someone to come out on Sunday. It is now Tuesday and no one has made it out yet. When I got my call today to reschedule for a third time, I had to just cancel and call someone else. I'm usually understanding to we dont dave a certified tech available and tech is still at other client and can't make it today but on top of all the reschedules, the people I spoke with were not courteous to my situation. The responses I received to my questions were unprofessional and sometimes rude.I will give credit where is due though. Dave was the only professional and respectful employee I spoke with.I had high expectations with the great reviews this company has, but my experience was pretty sad

The team of 3 arrived on time, very understanding, analyzed my water leak into kitchen sink are and outside leak. Checked water meter and seen where the leak was, sped to Home Depot at the necessary parts to fix the basket underneath the sink. I had a plumber from River Parish total maintenance come out and do the job first. They did a poor job so I called out Roto-Rooter. My technicians name is Ronald number 220. He did a job that I consider to be 110%. Going over another person's work and trying to find what they did wrong was exactly what he did. He told me upfront what the price would be and I agreed to it. My only problem is (and I grant you that I agreed to it) how much the service was. I had a clogged bathtub and it works great now, but 300 bucks for a <10 minute fix is a little steep. But otherwise I have no complaints and a functional tub.

I had a clogged line in my bathroom. I called ROTO ROOTER. Someone was dispatched the same day. They actually came out within the hour of me calling. I couldn't have been more pleased. Service tech #3588 was very polite , knowledgeable, patiently answered all of my questions and most important , he cleared the line.

Had a great plumber come out and fix a stubborn clog in one of of my branch lines. It was a doubly difficult job since the drain line wasn’t a straight shot from any of the fixtures. Terry Simmons (Tech #411) stuck with it though. Very professional, very nice man.
My clogged drain is history. Work done quickly and neatly. Work area was cleaned up. Totally satisfied
We were very pleased with our recent experience with Nick who was able to quickly assess and remedy a drain issue we were having. We had problems with our toilet draining properly. Roto Rooter was able to take a look at the problem and found roots in the drain that they could remove. The technician was very friendly and upfront about the cost prior to the work being performed.
I recently contacted Roto Rooter for service. Dwight (Tech 1485) came to my he house and provided the service I needed. He understood the problem and fixed it quickly after retrieving the required part. The job was done well.

Our service was excellent. The person I spoke with on the phone to schedule was very professional and polite. She called twice, once before our scheduled time slot to see if we were ready (which we weren't, but the call was nice) and again when our plumber was on the way. Our plumber fixed our issue, which wasn't complicated, and he was also very polite. I'll definitely use them again in the future.
Nick was great and really helped when we were in a bind. The company was very responsive, other businesses we called had a 2 week to 2 month wait. Nick was very thorough and professional.

I’m going to be very detailed in my review because I want everyone who happens to read reviews for this company to get a full scope and understanding of the outstanding above and beyond service I received.I had an issue every 6 months or so with my toilet and tub drain plumbing backing up, mainly in the guest bathroom. After numerous visits from various plumbing companies and cleaning the main sewer line, I never could get a solid answer from any of the prior technicians as to what is causing the problem and why this keeps occurring. Especially when I’m primarily the only one living in the home. On this particular date of this review, the worse happened, both of my toilets were leaking from the base and tub drains overflowed making them inoperable for use. I placed an emergency called to Roto Rooter and they dispatched drainage technician, Nicholas to service my issue the same day of my call. Upon his arrival, he was courteous and professional. He thoroughly explained his initial diagnosis and showed me the final video inspection live footage walking me step by step as he showed me areas of concern and the main source of the continual stoppage problem. He cleared the stoppage issue and informed me of follow up appointment being needed from a field supervisor to properly identify the exact location of stoppage in the main sewer line. Surprisingly, I received a call back from within 15 minutes after Nicholas left from Barrett Phillips, which I didn’t expect to happen so fast.Barrett came out immediately, like within 30 minutes after our call. He was also professional and courteous. He did another video inspection and quickly found the exact location of the source of the problem, under the slab of my home. He provided further explanation of my plumbing issues, such as the the pros and cons regarding the repairs needed, long term and short term outcomes along with the potential hazards should it worsen, including each of the cost variables involved. In addition, he brought in Mike Newell, who came out to my home that same day for evaluation for water remediation due to the overflow. Mike was very friendly and courteous. He showed me the actual water readings of lingering damages that were not outwardly visible. Mike also gave me advisement of the health and safety issues from bacterial and mold growth from the soiled overflowed water. He expeditiously arranged for to have someone come out and begin the process to thoroughly remediate the hidden water damages and properly treat the affected areas for bacteria and mold as well.In conclusion, I am very grateful and appreciative of the prompt, responsive and attentive level of care and service these gentleman provided. I was expecting just to have the sewer line unclogged, instead I received a welcomed complete comprehensive service experience. More importantly, I finally know, even seeing for myself, the source of the problem and getting it accurately repaired.Great job Nick, Barrett, and Mike! You represent your company and profession that excels excellence with exemplary customer service and satisfaction!

This plumber came out on a Sunday after another latte company plumbing company did not follow through on basics. There was a sewage backup on a first floor apartment snd the previous maintenance and plumber did not even turn off the water to the building. The apartment is now filled with sewage until Mr Plumber got on the phone with management and explained the emergency situation. We were totally being brushed off until he diagnosed the situation. I called about a plumbing problem. I explained that I had received a positive covid test. I simply asked how long after the covid case would someone be able to come check out the problem. The person hung up on me. People who get covid are not human beings -much less customers. This rudeness is unforgettable. Would Roto Rooter rather a customer lie? I will be a homeowner for decades after our collective covid experience. Any guess what plumber I'll use?
Upstairs bathroom drain was clogged and backing up into the shower and tub - called Roto-Rooter and they showed up within a few hours and unclogged the drain. Blake was knowledgeable and used a towel to cover our floor while working. He was clean and courteous while in our house. I would use their service again.

They rescheduled us many times or worse didn't show up to their own appointments. They were shown the original plumbing report when they showed up to give the estimate, proceeded to fix something else and then found the issue from the original report. Very unprofessional. Will never use again. The ladies who answered the phone were nice.

They came within 2 hours of the original call. Diagnosed the problem rapidly, began cleaning the discharge line and removed any problem that existed. Waiting for the camera unit to come and scope the line to assure that no other problems exist. Our serviceman was very friendly, knowledgeable and maintained a clean work area after the job. Our technician was Nick (2695) and I highly recommend him and the service.
I had a plumber come over twice from Eagle Plumbing. One visit was a wrong diagnosis, but still cost me, with no refund offered; and the other visit left me with additional problems and an inflated invoice. I decided I needed to call another plumber. I’m so fortunate that Tyranne was the plumber that came today and he did not try to pad the bill with unnecessary expenses. Tyranne was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Stanley was my technician and he arrived promptly, an on time. He assessed my clogged tub drain and though the price was a little out of my budget, he promised it came with a warranty. I signed. Stanley battled that clog like a MMA fighter! It was SNAKE vs HAIR in the cage match of the century, and just when it looked like Snake might have to call for backup, the clog retreated. I no longer have to shower in soapy water over my ankles, because no chemical in the world would dissolve that clog. Thank you Stanley!
