Very thorough friendly professional manner

I called them and advised my kitchen sinks were backed up and the disposal not functioning correctly, although could think of the word dusposal. Nice, young installer, Josh, came on time and was very courteous and knowledgeable. He, however, would not replace my disposal on this service call, even though he had one on his truck. Said I would have to schedule another service call and gave me price differentials for if I bought the disposal myself verses them supplying it. Made no sense. Waa calked back promptky by thecownee to clarify the miscommunication. Still a great company.

Josh is incredible!

After my traumatic experience attempting to get my hot water fixed by a few other plumbing companies, to no avail. I was put in contact with St. Matthews Plumbing. They came out the next business day to inspect and were back to install the new heater just days later. The tech, Josh, arrived on time and always called me when he was on his way. He spent the better part of a day installing the new heater and made sure it worked perfectly before leaving. He even came back a few days later to install a better ventilation pipe since the Water Heater company sent him the wrong piece. Josh was polite and informative and got the job taken care of.

I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Gas lines

Josh from St. Matthews Plumbing did a wonderful job repairing the shoddy work a former contractor did when he installed our bathtub. He quickly identified the problem with the tub drain, explained his plan of attack, and options for repair depending on how the work could go. He was professional, friendly and he did a super job. So glad we called St. Matthews plumbing, and it will be so nice to be able to use the tub again! Thank you!

St. Matthews roughed in plumbing for me in the basement and then returned to install fixtures once the walls and floors were done. They did excellent work.

Josh was a valued professional to work with. He communicated with me every step of the way. They were extremely timely. I called for a quote on a water heater install, and he was there within an hour to quote. I ordered a water heater through my own company, and he had it installed within 24 hours of receiving it. Outstanding service.

No problems. Called just before Christmas and got an appointment within a week. Pilot light kept turning off. By the time of the appointment we couldn't keep the water heater on long enough to get hot water. The appointment was at 2pm but he called to say he was ahead of schedule and asked if he could come early.

They came by, saw that it was Rheem 2020 and told me how Rheem had a problem with the control box during a certain year and there is a chance this model was one of them. Attempted to call someone else to confirm, but couldn't connect. They looked inside and saw white stuff around the thermocouple? and said 99% of the time when these things happens, they just need to replace that piece, but since this was only 2 years old it was a bit quick for that to be having problems. It was going to be $275 total to do that.

After going out to his car to get the piece he got confirmation back from his coworker that this is a model covered by the manufacturer so for $375 they'd replace the whole piece, they just have to go pick it up and bring it back and install it. Then if I wanted to follow up with Rheem to get back the labor cost I could try.

He installed the piece, it works now, no problems. There was a 3% surcharge for using a debit/credit card. Otherwise using checks/cash is no extra charge.

The guy who came was cool, open to talk, let me watch him work so I could learn, told me stories about his experience with carbon monoxide and how dangerous it is. Advised me to get detectors and be very careful with it. Also gave some advice on the vent thingy that comes out of my water heater as it wasn't installed properly because the vent wasn't the right material to be right up against wood (or something like that) and there was melting next to the opening of the vent which shouldn't happen, then showed me my furnace and how it was installed correctly to compare.

We have been using St. Mathews plumbing for quite some time now. Every project they have done for us has been of the highest quality. They are a great group of guys to work with and they can be trusted to provide the highest level of service for everyone they work for.

We had service in November when our kitchen was remodeled and were completely satisfied. So, when we opened the cutoff valve for the outside water line and it started leaking we did not hesitate to call them again. Josh was able to identify the issue and make the repairs. Total satisfaction.

We decided to install a new gas range and had to run a gas line to it. St. Mathews worked together with me to find the safest and easiest route to run 60' of new flexible stainless steel pipe. The work was finished quickly and at a fair price! The crew was careful to wear masks and practice social distancing while working in our home. We highly recommend them!

We've used this company twice for plumbing issues. The first time was great. They repaired a clogged sink and the plumber was super nice and helpful. But the second time, we had them come out to investigate a leak coming from a second floor shower. They gave us an opinion on what the cause might be- tub needs caulking, possible shower faucet leak however they didnt fix it and charged us $200. He said we needed a tile guy to do the caulking and it would be another $600-700 to replace the faucets. We probably should have asked what the diagnose fee would be, but that seems really steep for an opinion with no repair. I'm also not convinced his guess was correct.
