I bought a new hot water heater from them , fixed leaks install new toilets. I'm very disappointed in them I trusted them. Lowes done the exact same job with 2 new valves for 290.00 I hope you all get your labor rates somewhat straight. Never will you step foot in my home again. Triple price.

I knew I was in capable hands when the technician, Christopher Moss said I'm here to take care of you today. He was prompt, personable, and went above and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied with his work. He explained why I was having the issue and even made some plumbing suggestions for my upcoming kitchen remodel. I've always had exceptional service from Dauenhauer and will continue to use them for my plumbing needs.

DO NOT USE DAUENHAUER PLUMBING IF YOU WANT YOUR REPAIRS DONE CORRECTLY AND YOU WANT A DETAILED INVOICE. I do not typically post reviews. However, I selected Dauenhauer Plumbing based on great reviews and because of the poor service I need to warn others. On May 6 Daniel Frank came to repair our shower that we were unable to turn off. He was very polite, on time, and quickly diagnosed the issue. He spoke with our Home Warranty providers and explained the problem. He then disappeared and came back much later with a new shower handle. He quickly replaced the handle and was to send us the receipt for repairs via email right after the appointment. The next day we used the shower and the handle was even more difficult to turn and after use, again had a leak. We called Dauenhauer back and explained the shower handle was in worse condition then before it broke. We scheduled a second appointment for them to come back, but couldn't find a time before May 11th. Same plumber returns again, quickly diagnoses the issue which he missed on the first appointment and again spoke with our Home Warranty providers to explain the issue. After the appointment we never received an email with receipt. I called the company back the next day and they quickly sent me the receipt. However, upon forwarding the invoices to our Home Warranty they were declined for insufficient information. Upon inspecting the receipts myself I realized they only showed a Fuel Surcharge and then Hourly Charges for T&M Work. I called Dauenhauer again and explained the receipts needed to show the work performed, they said yes we'll take care of it and email it to you. Working nights I wasn't able to follow up immediately, but when I did I was greatly disappointed to see they had sent me the exact same invoices as previous. Vacations came and went and then I remembered we needed to get the correct invoices to the Home Warranty group and called them again asking to speak with the supervisor. The person receiving the office phone calls at the time, Kathy, wanted to know what the matter was and cut me off during my explanation to say that they are not required to provide detailed invoices. I explained that wasn't acceptable and that I needed to speak with someone higher than herself to correct the issue. I was placed on a long hold and when she returned I was told someone would contact me within 20 minutes to review my invoices. I never received a phone call, but it was late in the day. The next day I called them back again, this time Erica, a Billing Specialist, states she will speak with the plumber and then send me the detailed invoices within the hour. I check my email and once again they sent me the exact same generic invoices with no detail in them at all. I have no idea how this company has so many great reviews because they clearly have no idea what a detailed invoice is, have no intention of helping the customer, don't fully repair issues so you are forced to call them back so they can recharge you a service fee, and are greatly overpriced in my opinion. Save yourself from a severe headache and go with a different plumber. These people waste your time and money.

Daniel Frank did a thorough job determining the cause of toilet, faucet and water heater problems for us today. He also gave a convincing reason why it would be best to purchase a new water heater from Dauenhauer as opposed to purchasing from another store. I felt like he was really trust-worthy and gave understandable explanations.

Got scheduled the following morning for a suspected leak. Andy was very helpful and knowledgeable. He discussed possible renovations and went over various options. He was friendly and professional

2nd time I have used this company and they are great! Their people are the best - Kyle was knowledgeable, professional and skilled.

Had an appt at 10am, no show and no call. Called them and asked about what was going on, was told that my appt could be anywhere from 10am to 7pm (even with text confirmation of 10am). Fine, its an emergency but whatever. 5pm comes and still no call and no show. Call back to have them tell me that my appt was cancelled and stated that I had personally cancelled it?? Proceeds to book me 3 days out for my new appt. Waited all day with sh1t water in my house for nothing to happen. Customer service was very unprofessional telling me I was wrong and I shouldnt have cancelled my own appt?? NEVER again, awful company, HUGE waste of time.

We called requesting services same day. Our technician, Jacob, got there quickly, and took the time to figure out the problem and avoid having to cut into the drywall. He also offered, if he had to, to cut the drywall in an inconspicuous place. He got it figured out, got the needed parts and set it all up in the same day. Wonderful service.

We made the mistake of calling a different company first who after 3 hours of destroying our bathroom made our problem worse and tried to convince us to pay them $2000 to replace our whole drain pipe system. We made one call to Dauenhauer the next morning and they sent out Kyle Bowling to us right away, who was punctual, professional, and solved our problem in less than 30 minutes, without any costly replacements! 10/10 would recommend. I wish we had called Dauenhauer the first time.

Cant believe my experience after seeing so many good reviews! I was pleased with their work. All plumbing facilities are back to normal operation. However, we weren’t left with any description of work performed, receipt, or even a verbal explanation. There was waste water all over my bathroom vanity cupboard, inside it and the drawers. We had to throw away many items and deep clean the rest. Going to have to get a whole new vanity cupboard as the water soaked into it and now smells awful. Great work, but terrible cleanliness and professionalism.

Anthony arrived exactly on time after giving me a heads up that he was on his way. This is very much appreciated, especially considering there was a 4 hour window. Had a clog in my kitchen sink. Called Dauenhauer Plumbing on Sunday and they made me an appointment for Monday between 8 and 10 AM. Technician arrived at my home around 8:30. His name was Austin HallHe was very polite and quickly got to work and had my drain unclogged in less than an hour. After unclogging he checked for leaks under the sink and checked all other drains to make sure they were flowing freely. This is my first experience with Dauenhauer and with the service I received this time it won’t be my last.

We had a clogged toilet, called Dauenhauer this morning and by lunch, technician, Josh Edwards, showed up. He was professional, masked up, friendly, and honest. We got a call 30 minutes beforehand, no charge to come assess the problem, we got a prompt (and reasonable) quote upon arrival, and the issue was fixed quickly. They will definitely be my first call in the future.

Great experience all around with every single person we deault with from this company. All three of the field people went above and beyond for us. Some people may complain about the price being a little higher but remember you get what you pay for! Will use this company for future needs!!!! Thanks again for you help getting our water back on.

Michael came to repair drain at my rental property and after he was done and i paid him it started leaking next day. I called to make appointment for him to come back and we scheduled and he didn't show up. I called again to make anothet one and he didn't show up again and then stopped answering phone and office sends me to his phone and he refuses to fix it. BEWARE. SCAMMERS

This was my first time using Dauenhauer and I was not disappointed. The tech, Josh, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose my issue immediately and gave his recommendation for a solution which worked perfectly. Thanks Josh!

We had a leak coming from our shower, through the ceiling below. Dauenhauer was able to send someone out within 12 hours of us contacting them. The plumber who came out correctly diagnosed the problem. He left for over an hour (presumable to go by silicone, but this seems like something he should keep in his truck), then applied some silicone to the dap between pipes, charging around $180. A few days later, when we tested the shower again, it was still leaking, but less. We saw there there was still gaps in the area the silicone was meant to fill. We filled it with more silicone ourselves, gave it a week to dry, and the leak was fixed.

Larry Higgins came out for my repair. Larry did great: polite, prompt, attentive, and a very good plumber. I was dissapointed in the firm's policy to charge $10 for transportation fuel. A panel truck came 3 miles to service my problem. The parts came from 2 miles away; that's 10 miles round trip. Maybe they use airplane fuel, or fill up at a boat dock, where gas costs much more. Or maybe it's just another legal way to gouge. So tired of lies.

The plumbers came out within an hour of our call and fixed the outdoor faucet. Impressive same day service.

We had Dauenhauer Plumbing out to the house twice. The first time was a decent experience but the techs were messy. The second time we had them out, they flooded our second floor, cracked the toilet lid and took a chunk out of our cast iron tub. In the end, they did not fix the problem they were called about and only left a mess the DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS. They did not charge us and only repaired the tub. Three months later, we are still waiting for the replacement lid to the toilet. Based on the lack of communication in the past, I am assuming we will never receive the replacement lid.

I have never had an experience with a contractor like I had with Dauenhauer Plumbing. They were given my number because of something I posted online. I received a call from the Louisville office and the next day Justin and Jacob were at my door to give an estimate on a water pipe repair. Well, simple turned into complicated and, let's just say, they were simply AWESOME to deal with. They explained everything they found and what the cost was and when things got more complicated, had to change the game plan and the cost. My husband and I were amazed at how fair it was. They were very honest with us. Wonderful people to deal with. I would recommend them 100%!

Dean installed a new water heater in my rental home on a Saturday afternoon. I called around 9:30 AM and it was done by 1:30 PM. No fuss no muss. Good job Dean. Price was reasonable.

We had a shower cartridge go out which caused us to have to shut off the water to the entire house. Had them come out to repair so we could have water with 2 small children. The plumber argued with me about the cost of after hours from what Customer service quoted. He did not have the parts to repair the cartridge and went to Lowes to get what he needed. He came back to do the repair and dropped a pin in the wall. Went back to Lowe's and returned to say they did not have the part and would have to return the next day. He called the following morning to say it was completed and need payment. I had a call in to Customer service and he ended up hanging up on me. Customer service made an effort to make things right. However, we have discovered that it was not installed correctly and the water when faucet is turned past what should be the stop point the water turns back on. In addition since this supposed repair has been done we have had a loss of pressure in our water line. When showering if anyone turns on elsewhere in the house the pressure will drop. We did not have this problem prior to the supposed repair!

Anthony Smith replace a valve stem in our leaking hot water faucet in our tub and purchased a handle for it our faucet is Galvanized home built in the 1960’s which those are easily broken!We had an appointment set for Monday to finish the job with the office but Anthony Smith received a message from our Choice home Warranty that our leaking faucet cost reimbursement was approved so he could go ahead and work on fixing the leak the valve stem and replacing the hot water faucet ! So he message and called us but I was outside watering and working on my flowers so I didn’t hear it it’s hard for my husband to get up to get the phone ! So I guess Anthony Smith must have been working close by he drove over to see if he could do the task today instead of having it leak all weekend since it was approved ! I called and made appointment for someone to come and look at our water pressure in our pipes . We have had water damage in our home. The time given was after 10 AM. The technician came at 4:30 approximately and told me what I already know ( pressure is high) and left in 5 minutes saying that he will have to come back next day with another tech who knows how to fix it!never showed up next day. When i called at about 4:30 after waiting all day again,the receptionist says he had an emergency and left. I guess they have only one technician for the Lexington, Georgetown and surrounding areas AND no one called to inform me. I payed someone 2 days to stay at the house as i was working. Totally wasted my money and time. I will never call them again.just adding,3 days after my initial post and the Owner saying someone will call me shortly, NOBODY HAS TRIED TO CONTACT ME.

Justin and his crew busted their tails to get us back in our house by Christmas Eve, which they did after our pipe broke under our slab floor. It was originally installed improperly by the builder, but they were able to install the water drain system properly. They had to jackhammer in my living room, build a new drainage system, dig a trench to the main drain in my yard, & redo the concrete in my living room. Their approach was precise and far less invasive than plumbers from other companies suggested/quoted.Very impressed by him and his team. I hope that I will not need their services in the future, but if I do, then I plan on going with them again.

This place is not what I would recommend. Said they would be out between 10 and 5, on Friday. Get a call at 9:00 pm that they needed to reschedule for Saturday...promised no weekend fee. Sitting here at 3:00, another day wasted. Call, get a call center with stock responses. Do yourself a favor and call a bigger chain. They aren't worth your time and they just tell you what you want to hear.UPDATE: Just got a call wanting to reschedule...again! Two days gone. Bad business.

The plumber that was sent out did his absolute best to get a jammed bottle out off the toilet. He tried everything and ended up still having to replace it for us. I really appreciated his effort and that he did his best to go with the lowest cost solution. I would hand down recommend them. I appreciated the up front price quote before work was started as well.

I called for a valve stem replacement on some 72 year old leaking tub faucet handles. Chase Daff did an excellent job, rebuilding the valves, fixing the leaks, and saving me money by repairing vs replacing. Very happy with the quality of work and service, especially from this technician.

Mike Downs from Dauenhauer was pleasant, courteous and knew what he was doing. Had a 10 year old ground water sump pump and a backup ground water sump pump replaced. He also repaired a leaking elbow on the sump discharge line. I would recommend Mike.

The technician was very professional. I received a call, email, and text when he was on the way. The email and text had links to a tracker so you could see the current location of the tech.Price seemed high $239 to snake a drain for about 15 minutes. I don't know how that compares to other companies.

On Christmas Eve our kitchen faucet decided to stop working, just years of corrosive buildup. I had used Dauenhauer before so I called them for help. They were at my house, installed the new faucet and leaving by 9:30 am. We were very appreciative because we were to host a houseful of family beginning at noon. I reached out to KY Water Company as I was having problems with my plumber. They refereed me to Dauenhauer Plumbing and called Mr. Mike Downs immediately and got Mike Downs to come over. He was at my facility in 30 minutes!! Mike was truly a great person and an awesome plumber (A plus) that knew what he was doing and fixed the problem right away and also tested and certified the back flow system.You need a plumber, call this man; he can get the job done. I guarantee it!

I had an ejection pump for the plumbing in my basement that stopped working. (Mike Downs with Dauenhauer had done an excellent job putting in a full kitchen and bathroom in my basement last year). Austin came over today, found the clog in the pump, got it cleaned out, and running like new again, very quickly! He is very courteous, tidy, professional and knowledgeable. I could not have asked for faster or better service. The plumber (Dean) patiently answered all of my questions and provided additional information that I wouldn’t have thought to ask about. He did a fine job for me! I’ve used Dauenhauer several times over the years and have always been pleased. I’d recommend them to anyone!

Steven Hawkins and his coworker were great. Prompt arrival, quick assessment, reviewed everything with me and got to work. Were in and out in under 2 hours for disconnect and removal of my old hot water heater and installation and fill of a new one.

Our water heater broke on a holiday weekend. Mike was able to come out within an hour, assessed the situation, provided reccos of replacement options and had us back up and running within a few hours. The entire experience was efficient, cost effective, and I felt Mike was very qualified and professional.

I am satisfied. The water heater looks good. Chris did a good job. He was a good listener of what I would like him to do for me. I was glad that he was here. His assistant technican Nic was good, too.

He was using a heavier steel sink from the Dauenhauer warehouse, and a Moen faucet, which he said was a good quality brand and cited nothing unusual in the specs of the job. As he was preparing to leave I found it was very wiggly. He said he'd tried 3 times to stabilize it but couldn't get it solid. He offered no solution (different style faucet, additional parts, input from more experienced co-workers, etc.). My husband spent 3 hours working on a fix and it's rock solid now. While the plumber was there and again when I gave him my credit card information by phone, I told him I wanted an itemized invoice, not just Parts and Labor as there were a couple of other things the company was doing there also. Three phone calls to the office later, I received a two figure Parts and Labor invoice. Those two aggravations were just normal, to-be-expected bad service, I guess. Then I made the complaints online in their Contact Us box, wanting an apology, an explanation, an offer of a good invoice or possibly a bit of a refund. All I got was ignored. I then told them I was going to write a negative review; still nothing. So, here it is. Surely, somewhere there is a good plumbing company.

Leak identified, prices discussed, plan of action made clear, work executed efficiently and professionally. Technicians were on time, courteous and knowledgeable.

Used them a couple months back to replace the toilet parts as my toilet was leaking. I supplied all the parts and was charged $250 and the tech that came out didn’t even replace the flush valve, bolts or anything that was in the package. He only replaced the tank to bowl ring and flush valve, that’s it. Awful steep price to only replace half the parts when I specifically said replace everything.

Dauenhauer was a saving grace for our family. We purchased our first home and immediately had major plumbing issues. They came into the situation and worked with us to not only diagnose the problem but to fix it over a period of time. It was no easy task and our issues were likely too big for some plumbing companies. We can't say enough great things about the Lexington team (Joe, John, Ron, Josh and all the guys at Dauenhauer) that have helped us through this challenging time. They turned a terrible situation into one that was manageable and positive. We will always use them for our plumbing needs and highly recommend them!!

Sudden plumbing issues are so frustrating in every way but it happens & I must say that despite the frustration, Dauenhauer made it so much easier than I expected. Starting with the call that was quick, professional & I knew exactly who was coming to my home. I got a call letting me know when JD was 20 minutes away and then when he got here, he quickly inspected, gave me a price & got the job done quickly. The technician showed up on time, after sending the appropriate reminder. He was friendly and easy to work with and did a fantastic job. He also made sure that he had the proper authorizations and collected payment in the correct way from another manager while I was not in house. Very high quality, would recommend again.

They were able to service my need on the same day as my call. Two technicians arrived about 20 minutes ahead of the scheduled time (which was fine). They were very polite and cleaned up after their work which took about 1 1/2 hours. The work was completed efficiently and professionally. And the drain blockage was deeper than I had expected. None-the-less, I was somewhat shocked by the price of over $400 (plus $200 for the disposal I provided). I have used Dauenhauer before and may well call them again.

We had a clogged pipe sometime Sunday Afternoon. Not wanting to wait around for our home warranty we called them because for $10 more they could be out same day. Not to mention they have great reviews and no reason to not want to use them.They found the issue and after giving us a price went to work. In the end they were at our house from 5pm to midnight. That slightly frustrated us, but we understand. What was even more frustrating was they did not plan ahead of time to go to Lowes to get the parts needed to put everything back (before they closed) and was going to charge us $150 to go to their store house. Which after talking that was waived. But not only that, they broke the other toilet that wasn't even being worked on.No big deal, they charged us what originally quoted and would be back on Monday to between 10am and 5pm to install the new toilet. Which, we purchased from Lowes at our own cost. In the end my Partner took a PTO day from work and waited all day while I was at work for them to only show up at 10pm, at night. Personally I would have made something like this a priority. Everyone messes up, but it needs to be fixed ASAP.I was in bed by 10pm, frustrating, but no problem. But once again, they did not have the tools or items they should need in the van to install the toilet. The $150 fee to go to the store house comes up on top of the hour fee we're being charge to install a toilet THEY BROKE, and WE BOUGHT to replace. At this point we told them to come back in the morning.They said they would be there between 9am-10am, but then was all: Well it might be closer to noon. Time management needs to be better as well as being organized to make sure you have all the tools and items you need for the job. Luckily, they were there at 9am this morning according to my partner.New toilet was put in etc. Other things that happened was our bathroom was left a mess, which I cleaned. They were also doing off handed comments of well I think this has happened or I think I see more issues. It seemed as if they were fishing for more money, not being specific on 'issues' because we're both women.Where as they were nice and friendly, they were also unprofessional, negligent, and had poor time management. We were also frustrated that we were paying them to fix something that they broke. But at the point we were both frustrated and just wanted the job done.We will not use them again and will just wait on our home warranty to send someone next time.

Dauenhauer Plumbing replaced our exterior sewer line, and they were shockingly unprofessional. The plumbers, Donnie and Larry, spilled black sludge from the pipes on our beige carpets. They did not put down anything protective over our carpets or over their shoes, so they also tracked mud throughout our home and into our carpet. After I noticed this, I left to purchase cleaning supplies, which I told them. While I was gone, they tried to clean it themselves (without telling me) and thoroughly scrubbed the black liquid into our carpets (pictured). When I complained about them ruining our carpets, they said the black stain will go away on its own (which is a lie). Additionally, this job took over two months between when it was scheduled to when they actually showed up to complete the job. They often rescheduled and there were at least five times that they simply didn't show up, and I had to call and request a reschedule. I would not recommend Dauenhauer Plumbing to anyone I know.

Marcus arrived on time. He was thorough and honest about my dead water heater and gave me a spot on estimate. He was professional and careful while he was here and cleaned up before leaving. He arrived at about 1120 and told me what needed to be prepared and told me the total. He said he had everything he needed in his truck. He went out to get it and returned 1 HOUR LATER. By then I had called the company who said the dispatcher was unable to locate him and that he may have gone to get supplies or parts. I told them he said he had everything he needed in his truck. The company said they would call me back after they figured out where he was. They never called back. Like I said an hour later he came back like he had only been gone for a few minutes and never acknowledged the issue. He completed the repair pretty quickly but this situation was very strange.

Our kitchen sink was completely clogged one evening. I was able to make an appointment online and received service the following morning. Technicians were friendly, got the job done, provided a discount, and left area clean. Appreciate this service!

We are a 24 hour Emergency Pet Hospital and the Back Flow preventer failed, came apart, we had a flood and no water available. The guys that came to fix a broken pipe, Logan and John, were friendly, courteous, and prompt. They worked efficiently to fix our issue. The price was reasonable and included a one year warranty. I also appreciated receiving texts and emails from the company with our technicians names and pictures ahead of time so I would know who to expect. This is a great safety feature! Dean found a leak in the men's urinal, which is finally repaired after 2 other plumbing companies could not find the leak. Dean is very polite and prompt. He was easy to work up with and had a great attitude.

The technician ariived because my 9 month old water heater pilot light kept going out. He sits there 10 minutes and says pilot light won't stay lit. I told him that it's probably under warranty, but i don't want to wait a week for warranty parts. I need hot water asap. He says I dont know whats wrong with it, and calls the manufacturer for a diagnosis. When the manufacturer tells him the diagnosis, he argued with them. The manufacturer says they were going to ship me the correct parts So they left me with no options to repair my water heater, but quotes me $550-$650 to replace a pilot light that takes 45 minutes to complete. Then he tried to charge me for an hour of his tim while doing no actual work except calling a manufacturer to do his job for him.Tries to charge for an hour of time to call the manufacturer. Then expected me to hire them to put the warranty part on, when they couldn't even diagnose the correct issue themselves. Terrible quality technicians with zero experience.

I asked for help in relocating the on/off water valve to a better place on the first floor and the plumber went directly above the water line in the crawl space into a child’s bedroom to put the valve. Have you ever?? Now the poor kids have a hole in their room into the crawl space until we can patch the dry wall. Finally got him to move the valve into a closet. He did identify a leak I guess. And $1k later. Geeeez!

Dauenhauer Plumbing Heating & Air, BY FAR, is the BEST plumbing service in Lexington, KY. I cannot be more pleased with their service and techs. Specifically, Chris Moss was fantastic in regards to performing our jet tub removal due to leaks PRIOR to a major problem. He even managed to catch our toilet issues on the top floor of our home to prevent future issues. He and his coworker facilitated the installation of our new tub and explained the rationale and process in a reasonable and understandable way. I for one, will never consider another plumbing company's service. Thank you!!!

I jumped online and found their contact page. Scheduled a repair on a Sunday night. Easy process. The tech was late, not an issue I understand that can happen. I had already troubleshot and told him what I thought the problem was. Ended up being an outside disconnect, and a cap on the outside unit. I expected to pay a premium, but I didn't expect to pay over $1000 for those 2 items. He was onsite for just over 1 hour, replaced those 2 things. The bill isn't broken down into parts and labor. I understand why. If the parts were $100, which they aren't if you go to Lowes, that would mean $900 for 1 hour work. AND on top of that I got charged a diagnostic fee/fuel surcharge. There is absolutely no way I would have selected this business if I knew I was going to see this sort of bill.However, the AC is working, and the house was left clean. He did communicate well with me over the phone.My suggestion is to go a little further in your search for a repair operation.

This is our third experience with Dauenhauer and each time they have delivered as advertised. We needed to replace an outdated hot water heater system. Our tech Michael Reynolds did an awesome service and installation job. He explained what was going on every step of the way and made sure everything was working as it should before he left. Everyone from customer service to the home tech was so nice and positive, excellent examples of what customer service should be.

I would highly recommend Dauenhauer and especially Gerald Salyer and Chris Moss! I had a water leak. They came out and couldn't fix it because it was underground. They gave me specific instructions on who to call and what to do. Once that was done, they returned within a day. The leak was not where it was marked, and they helped me recover my payments from the other company due to their mistake. They stayed and worked for many hours trying to help figure out the issue to keep my costs down as much as possible with the least amount of destruction to my property. I ultimately had to have a new water line ran to the property, which they dug immediately and worked until dark in the pouring rain until they completed the job. Never once complaining and always making sure I was ok, due to the amount of work that ended up having to be done. (The house was 100 years old and needed lots of work) I was so impressed! AND... while inspecting their work, noticed a hazard that wasn't even part of their job that they fixed for my own health! Now that's super amazing service. Overall, it has been a 2.5day job. They called me everytime they were leaving or on their way. Or, if they needed confirmation on the smallest decision. They made this nightmare for me so much easier to process. I will not hesitate to continue using them!!

What I appreciate most about the Dauenhauer plumbers are that they fix my problems the first time, every time. Always courteous, professional and clean. The last time I called them they refused to charge me because the problem I was experiencing was due to me not understanding a seating on my water heater. The tech showed me how to use it and refused payment. Class act all the way.

The company sent out a guy to fix my apartment water heater at The Resort at Lake Crossing. The guy broke the pipes and flooded my bathroom, then left the unit broken and took no responsibility. His boss was called in by the apartment to fix his problems, he barely did and forgot simple things like glue. The apt. complex assured me the plumbing company would compensate me for the time they wasted and the damage they caused, they instead chose to ignore the property managers call and not compensate me at all. Negligence and accountability are important. If I wasn't there to stop the first guy they sent, my apartment would have reflooded and been destroyed. Make mistakes but do the right thing.

The work actually done and the workmen who did it were both very good. The only thing that I am dissatisfied with is that I called and set up the appointment yesterday, and waited for a technician. No one called and so I called again. It happened that they were behind and the scheduler said that the after hours guy was all booked up so that no one could come until the next day.The real problem was that in spite of the way I described the problem, someone diagnosed the problem without being here or taking into account what I had told them.It turned out to be just as I had described and should have been taken care of the day of the first appointment.Once Josh and his helper were here, they got rid of the clog, checked the outside cleanout, and easily finished the job.Also, I appreciated the $100 coupon.Overall, I will definitely call Dauenhauer again when needed.

I have used this company for years, and they used to be reliable but their service is now a joke. My most recent experience was incredibly disappointing. I called for repairs to a shower handle, and when the service tech arrived they advised he couldn't fix it but they still charged me $193.00 for the service call. I understand the company has overhead costs, but I was shocked that they would charge so much without making any effort to fix my problem. I would have given a zero stars review but at least the service tech was pleasant and professional. Save yourself the time and call a different plumbing service.

Great service! Dauenhauer came out the same day I called to fix a leaky gas pipe for our gas fireplace. Not only did Jeremy and his associate fix the problem in a timely fashion, but they also hooked the pipe back up and lit the pilot light for me. Can’t say enough good things about these guys!

Joe B. took care of a couple of plumbing jobs at our home. We had an awful smell coming from our kitchen sink and shower and he was able to solve the issue pretty easily (he was the 3rd different plumber to work on it, but the first to figure it out!)He also did a routine job of disconnecting the plumbing one day and coming back the next day to reconnect it.He was always on time and called before he came. All teams were very professional and answered all my questions. Out of the 4 companies I called on a Saturday, Dauenhauer was the only one that answered my call and sent a technician on the same day. I decided not to repair but to replace my old system. Salesman came out Saturday evening to discuss options. The new system was installed on Monday. Couldn't have gone smoother!

Our situation was not critical. So we were able to wait the 3 days before Dauenhauer Plumbing responded to our unexpected problem. The plumber Mike Dempsey arrived at the expected time. Dauenhauer plumbing did a great job for us. They scheduled at a time that was convenient for me and Dean showed up on time. He installed a new toilet and gave us advice on a faucet and sink problem we are having. I was really impressed that he hauled away the old toilet and even mopped up the floor. Cleanup is really important to me. I can’t stand hiring a contractor and being left with a mess or damage to my house. The new toilet works perfectly. He was polite and knowledgeable and efficient.I would definitely have him come again. Price was a little more than others I quoted but we prefer to hire a professional company and have the job done right the first time. Having him haul away the old toilet was well worth the extra $50. They also guarantee their work and will come back out if something isn’t quite right.

Tristan was courteous & informative in explaining what he would be doing in replacing our leaking water heater with a new one. The response time was quick & very much appreciated. He & his assistant took very good care in protecting our carpeting & surrounding areas when taking the old water heater out & bringing the new one inside. Mr. Robertson replaced our gas-fire water heater today. He was on time as promised, very professional and courteous. He removed the old unit, procured and installed the new one. Moreover he provided some guidance on how to use the new unit and details on the warranty offered by his company and on the water heater. We do highly recommend him for any future plumbing job.UPDATE : A week after the installation we noticed that the room where the water heater was installed was very hot. After dealing with an overly eager sales person who wanted to charge us (a lot) for the service call (mind you, a week old unit for which we paid close to $9,000), they sent a technician whom, we hope, fixed the problem. Apparently the vent had not been correctly sealed. The unit seems to be working fine otherwise.

When DAUENHAUER WRECKS IT ALL - WHO YA GONNA CALL?Absolute shoddy mess with this company - no decent customer service plans and terrible work done when they do turn up. Came to replace a faucet, fix a leaky faucet and unclog a drain, Broke the one faucet - made the clog total not fixed and were to come back and fix the issues and other faucet. A call to complain led no where - AT ALL!Read so many negative reviews since on this company at YELP and BBB. Sliding down hill or should I say draining away after a seemingly decent start?To fix this I called and spoke to a few other recommended plumbers and they were helpful/honest and seemed full of integrity. Also laughed when I said who had created the mess - saying they were not surprised.They returned my calls unlike DAUENHAUER. Today I met Master Plumber (a Mr. David Wiseman) who fixed everything in an hour and a half, charged about 75% less than we anticipated paying wreck-it-Ralph DAUENHAUERDH seem to not want to touch small jobs. They may be OK at major high (pricey - $1000's) end jobs - but don't count on it - read YELP and BBB reviews first on this. There are many mostly negative reviews. I reposted most at LinkedIn as a viewable PDF.Thinking of calling Dauenhauer Plumbing? I STRONGLY recommend you DAUENHAUER DON'T!

He came into my house, looked at the situation, asked me a few questions, and with in 10 mins of being here told me what the problem was and how much it was going to cost me. He was in an out with the job done in less the an hour!! A life saver as I started my morning off with a clocked drain and standing water in my dishwasher. Believe the hype. The two plumbers showed up to fix my botched shut-off valve replacement on 2 hours notice. They solved the problem within 5 minutes and didn’t charge me.As they were leaving, I had a delivery truck show up that ended up getting stuck and blocking them in. The plumbers didn’t even hesitate to assist the less-than-helpful delivery driver, free the cargo (with their own Sawszall), physically move it out of the way, and block traffic so the driver could leave. What a story.

John was exceedingly competent and very polite. I'm sure it had been a long day for him by the time he was able to get to my home but he came in ready to work. He was in and out in less than an hour and resolved our drain issues with minimal disruption to the household.

This was my 2nd time using their services. John M. and his apprentice arrived a smidgeon later than scheduled but they called ahead of time to inform me of the delay. Upon arrival, they quickly got to work and knew how to resolve the problem almost immediately. Unclogging the main pipe took barely any time at all - they were in and out in 20 minutes. My research on Google rendered an estimate of $300-$550 so I was pleasantly surprised when the flat rate for this kind of job was $314. Overall, very satisfied, will use again in the future.Side note - everything is electronic/digital:1) They text you a photo of the technician so you know whom to expect and let in your house.2) They also text a tracking website so you can monitor their journey to your residence.3) They take all major credit cards including DR and Amex and e-mail you a PDF copy of your invoice.

I recently had a chance to have some urgent plumbing repair work done and not having a regular plumbing service I contacted Dauenhauer plumbing who were still at work at 8pm and they quickly set up an appointment for the following day. The technician called earlier than expected and was able to come sooner than expected and was fully capable of my needed repair quickly and very inexpensively.I suggest if you have that need, the one you did or didn't plan for, give these guys a call. You won't regret it, I don't. I am very satisfied with thethe service's.

We were so pleased with our service by JD Merritt. He did a great job and our new toilet works so well. He went back to the Warehouse to get a new one, and though it was a little different, he took time to explain difference which helped us be comfortable with our choice. He was very professional. It's 10:PM and I am almost 1000 miles away on vacation. I get a call that a valve has broken and water is running inside the bathroom at one of the houses I own. I am trying to think of who I can get to come out that late. My mind is blank. I google and find Dauenhauer is open. I give them a call.I talk to Jae. She was very nice and helpful. She knows I am in a near panic because every minute that passes means a few more gallons of water flowing out of my bathroom and down the hall. We make arrangements for somebody to come to my house.A few minutes later she calls me back. She says Joe is close to my house and is going to go over to turn the water off. 20 minutes later he has the water shut off at the street. He tells me that he will send somebody out first thing in the morning to repair the valve. Whew! What a relief!!The next morning Jeremy calls me to tell me he is on his way. He shows up right on time and replaces the valve.I can't thank these 3 enough for how helpful they were. They were all very nice, did exactly what they said they would do, showed up on time and solved my problem for me so I could get back to vacation.I would, and I will, recommend Dauenhauer Plumbing to anybody I know needing a plumber.

Mark Mitchell and Michael Rafferty did an outstanding job on an extensive plumbing project in my 71-year-old house, including replacing all water lines and drains, installing outside wall hydrants and inside faucets, a bathroom sink, cabinet and faucet and much more. They worked together to solve complex problems in my house. The quality of their work was exceptional. They communicated with me at key points throughout the project, tested all work, and meticulously cleaned up. It was truly a pleasure to have them work in my house. Their excellent customer-service was way above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced or could have imagined. They totally exceeded my greatest expectations. I will turn to Mark and Mike and Dauenhauer Plumbing exclusively in the future and recommend them to everyone I know.2. Mark Mitchell did an extraordinary job repairing the leaking water line in my yard next to the house (under a boxwood in a flower bed). I was concerned they would have to dig up the yard to replace the entire line, but Mark was able repair and replace a section of the pipe, replanted the boxwood, and restored the flower bed. I am so grateful for his superb work. Besides doing an excellent job, Mark is kind and caring and provides truly excellent customer service. He is amazing. Never again. Needed a Water Heater replaced not knowing what it would cost and was surprised on the price of $2,300. Asked for a breakdown of the cost and said they could not provide it. Not sure I have seen a business that doesnt know how they arrived at the sales price of a job. Then was told it was because they were insured and covered warranty. Lesson learned for me to shop and ask up front what the breakdown is on what I am paying for.

Pretty disappointed. Guy showed up and didn't even really look, said I had a bad showerhead which I already knew was NOT the case, as it was disconnected already and still wasn't working. He seemed like he didn't want the job. Said it would be $175/hour and it would take several hours then he left. Wasn't there 5 minutes.We called a different plumber and he figured out the problem, which was very simple, and fixed it in about 15 minutes. He said it was so simple he didn't even feel right about charging me, and showed me what to look for next time. I gave him $75 anyways. I won't call Dauenhauer again and I would not recommend them.

Both of my toilets clogged on a Sunday—not a great start to the day of rest! I went to Lowe’s to buy an auger and try to fix it myself. It didn’t work, so I called Dauenhauer around 3:30 pm to get much-needed assistance.I spoke to Josh, and he was great! The team didn’t have much availability, but he was determined to help me by getting someone out there same-day. I happily accepted a 3-11pm window. While on the phone, I signed up to be a VIP. I’m really excited about that program. :)Later, I received a call at 10:40 to let me know Eric was on the way. It can be really scary letting a stranger into your home late at night, but Eric immediately put me at ease. He talked me through everything he needed to do, and—luckily—my problem wasn’t too difficult to fix! I’ve never been more excited about flushing a toilet.All-in-all, I’m really happy with my experience. Signing up as a VIP, I have peace of mind if/when this or something like it happens again.

did good job on heater..charged about $450 over the going rate.. when they turned water back on..did not check other faucets..all my sinks were unusable ..apparently got clogged by the re-turn on pressure..called main number for help.. waited long time said they would come back.. they never have...i called another plumber who came and fixed things....the other plumber said they probably did not know how to flush the faucets...

I don’t know where all these good reviews for Dauenhauer come from. I guess we just had a really bad team working our job or something. We have a Ball home and the plumbing has been an absolute nightmare since day one. We constantly find inexcusable and laughable issues in this house. Our bathroom tub faucet wasn’t installed correctly and my daughters room flooded. A few months later our garage ceiling was ruined from an overflow drain that was SEALED shut. SEALED! I’m terrified what happens next. Sorry, but I would never recommend this company after what we have been through. It’s been a nightmare.

I chose Dauenhauers because their advertisement said they would respond within hours, not days. I called in the morning because my hot water heater stopped working. I gave customer service all the information they needed about the problem, the make and type of heater I had. I couldn't get any information about arrival time except an 8 hour time frame and a 30 minute call before they would get to my house. I waited all day till they arrived at 5pm. I asked for them to replace the thermostat, but they couldn't because they did not have the parts. I told them I gave the customer service all the information they would have needed to prepare their truck with the parts before they started their shift. They said they never received the info. They said they would have to come back the next day. I told them I would get another company who is better prepared. I was very disappointed. This seems like it should have been a priority call. I think the employees should be trained better to be more forth coming with information about scheduling, and being prepared to fix problems on the spot.

Yesterday I scheduled an appointment to replace my water heater. The scheduler said they would come between 9 and 2 today. This morning Jason called to say they were coming at 8:15. They were done by 10:15! And that was including 45 minutes of taking my old water heater and returning with the new water heater. Amazing to get this kind of quick and quality service these days! Justin and Jason were great. Knew what they were doing. I had priced a water heater and installation at Lowes. With Dauenhauer, I got as good (maybe better) price on a much better water heater. Definitely a much better value than Lowes.

Marcus was very professional & thorough. He took the time to answer all my questions. He cleaned up after & even left instructions on maintenance. He was very reassuring for someone with no knowledge of plumbing.

Received a text and email prior to the technicians arrival, so I knew exactly who was coming and some background about that person. John was very professional, courteous and was able to handle the problem at hand with care and precision. He cleaned up after he completed his work and I can't say enough good things about him and the team of people at Dauenhauer. John was the second person sent to fix the problem. Josh came initially and worked REALLY hard to solve the issue but was unable to do so that day and made arrangements for a camera and another technician to complete the work. He did a great job explaining things and he only charged me for a service call after all that work. I am a relatively new customer, but will continue to make them the first company I call for plumbing needs.

When the 2-week-old water heater developed a leak, the technician came a day after my call. He assessed the situation and brought a new water heater to replace the first. He also noticed an issue with the sump pump where the water heater was draining, and he fixed that problem before leaving. I feel like he was looking out for my best interest.

I had an underground pipe leak. I had American Leak Detection locate the source of the leak and Dauenhauer to come and fix it. They quoted me a price that I thought was fair and had them do the work. They could not use the excavator in my yard and had to hand dig to get to the leak - which seemd to be about 5 feet underground. Anyway, they replaced the part of the pipe that was leaking and my meter - which was constantly running - was now at a standstill. The three man crew was very professional and I would highly recommend them

Austin took care of every part of our entire house system. He and his crew worked hard to get the job done on time, on budget and clean with the best product for our home. I would be proud to recommend Austin. Fantastic work and attention to detail.

I don't know anything about plumbing. But the plumber they sent, JD Merritt, knows his stuff. He is a good dude and I highly recommend him. He took the time to explain what was wrong and my options for repair. Dauenhauer's price seemed a little higher than normal but good work isn't cheap.

While the pitch to sell more products & service was a bit off putting it was subtle and the technician was not pushy about it.
As for the service call itself. It was repaired quickly & properly.

They very quickly came to put in a new pipe for our outside spigot after it started leaking. The leak was in a place where we had to have the water main turned off, and they quickly came out on a holiday to fix it for us so we could have our water back on. Price was reasonable, and they even put a shut off on the new line as I requested in case it happened again. We will definitely use again if we ever need a repair!

We would have used this business’s services but over the course of 2 days they did not return our calls or answer our questions. Over tha to period of time, we decided to get a second quote and are glad we did. We saved money, had our problem solved quickly, and all questions promptly answered. It paid us to shop around.

This company was very difficult to work with. Was without water for over 2 weeks. They rescheduled or no showed for 2 weeks. The guy that came said “this is gonna take a whole day and I can’t stay that long I get off” so wrote up the invoice and never saw him again. Then I called and rescheduled AGAIN. this all started Dec 23rd. Today is now Jan 4th BUT on the bright side Anthony and his partner came today and they were totally awesome and understanding. Wasn’t for them 2 it would be 0/5 rating.

He called ahead, was on time and so polite, and even cleaned up his mess after, which was a pleasant surprise, as I am used to coming in behind any installation I've has, and having to clean up!

The services guys were polite, knowledgeable and efficient. However, it took a very long time for the repair team to come to my house. The window was 10am - 5pm. Very very wide window. Too wide. The cost was very high I thought. $430 to take up the toilet and snake the drain. Too high in my opinion. I can forgive the fuel charge.

Had a couple of guys out from the same company back in December who weren't that interested in fixing the problem. Had much better luck with these employees. They did a great job very cooperative and interested. Couldn't be happier with them.

Tristan Robertson is a good team leader and he and his team stuck with a very difficult job until it was finished. He pulled in as many as 3 other people at a time to deal with the surprises and problems they encountered in my very old house. He was also responsive to my concerns. I am much less impressed with Dauenhauer itself. There appear to be significant administrative and communication problems. And I was stunned to be required to make payment 5 minutes after they finished the work (indeed, there are still at least one more task to complete).

Jake and Jacob were very personable and knowledgeable. Almost all plumbing charges seem very expensive, but the value of the repair seems more evident as each day passes with a problem having been resolved professionally.

We had a problem that was difficult to diagnose. Plumber Joe April quickly found the problem when 2 other licensed plumbers had missed it. Much more expensive than your average plumber, but also more detail oriented and skilled. I would definitely call for Joe again.

Had a really bad drain and lines under the kitchen sink and didn’t know what to do. Dauenhauer sent out Mark and this guy was amazing. He explained everything and made sure it was done perfectly before he left. The company may charge a little much but you are getting great service and good technicians when they arrive. Very satisfied and will not hesitate to call them again.

The tech, Nelson Mabe, showed up right on time, assessed the problem, got the proper equipment and supplies and fixed the problem (broken water filter from freezing) in no time. Had him before and he always does a top notch job. I trust this company for all my plumbing needs now, won't go anywhere else. We had a challenging repair of main house shut off valve. Difficult spot to solder in new valve. Took longer but the finished work was leak free after inspection. Two repairmen showed up within time frame that was given.

We had a major water leak at the water meter and Dauenhauer had a technician to our home within an hour of my call. They repaired the leak with only a small amount of digging and did so with professionalism rarely seen these days.

I needed an exterior water supply line leak found and repaired quickly. They came and accessed the situation and had it repaired before the day was over. They stayed late to finish the job.

I did a little weekend renovation replacing some old supply valves. I made a small mistake and needed bailing out. Seeing as the problem was very minor I waited until Monday to contact Dauenhauer Plumbing. They were able to help me that day. They gave me a 5 hour window in which the representative would be able to get to me. I was home on a sick day so that was not an issue. If I had to work that might have been difficult. Mike showed up and was very courteous. Since my issue involved removing an old compression ferrule and putting a new one on (of which I had a few left over) it did not take long. I was only charged a diagnostic fee. I was very pleased.

Although the technician seemed competetent I was disappointed with some of the basics that you did not have that your competitors offer. The technician did not have the plastic booties that seems to be the standard when making residential visits. We have encountered this leak before and your competitor was able to use a silicon caulk to ensure the leak stopped. Your technician said he did not have skills to complete the repair in a matter that I would be satisfied with. Finally your technician lacked the clean up tools (shop vac, etc) to properly clean up the site besides removing several small pieces of dry wall. I seriously looked at switching to your company as a club member based on your response time, but based on your technician lack of additional tools, I will be staying with H2O Maestro.

I have changed my five star rating to a 1.Here’s why, after spending approximately 2,000, in service and maintenance, (I had a contractor here for other work and he had to go into my attic) and then he took pictures of what he saw up there, the unit was obviously repaired in the past, and it look like a two year old had done repairs, Dauenhauer did not do those repairs, but they clearly knew what was up there and never disclosed what they saw. It is my true belief that they were never going to tell me, continue to take my money, then when the unit died, say, oh no, your unit died!!They lost my trust and my business!As you can see, how could they be up there and see this and never inform me?

I was very impressed with their customer service. There was an issue with pricing when I contacted the company back they sent a supervisor to my home. They apologized for the misunderstanding and fixed my water heater immediately. They were fair and honest and deeply apologized for the original misunderstanding. I would highly recommend this company because when there was a problem they took immediate action to correct it.

They came on the same day I called. There were two guys working together and very fast. They were quick in checking the pipe routes in the house, going down the basement and laundry rooms. I had a stubborn kitchen sink clog and they opened it 30 feet down below.

The plumbers came to install a faucet and while doing that found another issue (not their fault). We went ahead and had that work done (replacing the drain tail pipe) and although they gave us a bit of a break on the combined charges, it still seemed a bit high for the time they spent. I did appreciate the work they did, I just wasn't figuring the two task would add up to that total.

Kyle called me ahead of the appointment time and arrived on time. Both he and his assistant were professional , knowledgeable and polite. I appreciate them taking care of the issue and will call them for future needs.

Jeremy Jones was a hard working efficient technician. He tried every option but I’m afraid our electric tankless heater may have to be replaced with a regular water heater to have hot showers again. John was our plumber for taking care of a clog in our kitchen sink. He called before coming over and was on time getting here. John was professional in his assessment and work, was pleasant to chat with and knowledgeable of what needed to be accomplished. My wife and I are very pleased with service we received from John and Dauenhauer.

I had a great experience with Dauenhauer Plumbing to clear out roots between our cleanout and the tie in with the city. I had a poor experience with another company and unfortunately the job was not done correctly, the plumbing was backed up again only 10 days later. The guys came out on New Years day, in the evening, within an hour of speaking to us. They were pleasant to deal with even though it was a holiday. They had to run the rotor router 4 times, then went and picked up their larger tool to finish the job since it was so severely blocked by roots. They tested each time they rotor rooted- put toilet paper down and ran the sinks, showers, and flushed toilets. They probably spent 2 hours here just to make sure it was done properly. Beyond this, they charged HALF the price we were quoted by the first plumber to fix their own job. Glad I called them, very thorough work and would definitely recommend their work.

Cannot say enough good things about this company! They were the only company that could come out right away and look at my water leak, found that it was a crack in my shower surround. Did not charge me a penny, and recommended somebody who could repair it for me at a cheaper cost than replacing the entire surround. Excellent company, and they will be used again!

Kyle came to replace my old leaking water heater which soon developed into a major undertaking....My water heater was put in in 1994 so nothing was up to today's codes so the job just got bigger since everything needed replaced; tank, piping and fittings! He measured and replaced everything and it looks so much better, not a humbled jumbled mess like before.When he went to shut off the water at the main valve it was so old and seized up it started to leak so there was a second repair to be done--replaced it with a new type of shut off that should out last me and be easier to use if I would have to.... We needed to find the main water shut off at the meter and he helped us locate it--not easy either, it is under a 40 ft. pine tree!He hung in there and about 6 hrs. later it was done, he cleaned up the area and I was left with a new shiny tank! Stephen conducted the routine inspection of my water heater quickly and efficiently. He noted that the pan was not connected to the drain in my utility room, and he installed a proper connection. He was courteous and professional.

What I thought was a nightmare turned into a great experience! My water heater burst and water was everywhere. I called Dauenhauer and they sent Jamie Clay to my house right away! Jamie was awesome, he was quick to respond and very professional. He made me feel better right away and took care of my water heater in no time at all! He even helped me clean up the mess. He went above and beyond any plumber who has ever done work for me before. I will use Dauenhauer from now on and make sure I always request Jamie to do my work. I have had exceptional service with Dauenhauer Plumbing. Communication is prompt; texts and emails are sent with a picture and name of the technician coming to the house,Logan was knowledgeable with repairs and suggested some preventative measures to ensure we don’t have problems in the future. I have mixed feelings regarding my experience with Dauenhauer. It took a whole week to repair my water heater. It began on Thursday, June 24, when I first contacted Dauenhauer and they came on Friday, June 25. The technician diagnosed the problem as the burner unit in the system, as the pilot light would not work. He said I should call A O Smith, the manufacturer, as the parts would be under warranty. Accordingly, I called them and said my pilot light would not work. A O Smith said to get Dauenhauer to call them and inform them of the part(s) required to fix the problem. Dauenhauer did so and was asked to get me to call A O Smith back to finalize shipment. Dauenhauer failed to inform me of that fact.I called A O Smith on Saturday, June 26, and was told that Dauenhauer had requested a replacement gas control valve (when they had informed me that the burner unit was at fault!). As it was Saturday and A O Smith's Parts Department did not work weekends, they could not ship the parts until the following Monday, June28. The part arrived on Tuesday, June 29, and I informed Dauenhauer of that fact. The Dauenhauer technician came on Wednesday, June 30, to do the installation. Upon completion, the technician informed me that the system did not work and that a new burner assembly was required. Together, we talked to A O Smith, who agreed to ship the part immediately. WHAT THE TECHNICIAN DID NOT DO, WAS INFORM ME THAT HE HAD PARTIALLY FLOODED MY BASEMENT IN REPLACING THE GAS CONTROL UNIT. When I saw that, I immediately called Dauenhauer, and they agreed to send someone out to deal with the flood. It took two technicians over an hour to do the cleanup. The next day, July 1, the part arrived and I informed Dauenhauer of its arrival. A technician arrived later and installed the heater unit and got my system working. Up until that point, I was prepared to call the BBB and lodge a complaint. However, my experience with the last technician, Kyle, changed my mind, and I did not make that call.

Mark was very polite! Although it took longer than expected (not his fault), they could come fast to check out our hot water heater and was able to install right after the check!

We were having one of the worst days of our lives. Faucet to the washing machine upstairs broke in our new house. Chris came and was helpfull and calmed our nerves. Went above and beyond. Gave us a fair price for the work and pointed us in the direction of what to do next which has worked out great as well. Would call again in a minute for any problems that come up.

I have used Dauenhauer Plumbing for multiple services while living at my current house. They have always been prompt, friendly, and very professional. They are very knowledgeable and I love how they talk through options with me in terms of how they could go about the fix/install/repair.Logan Carmack came out this time to do the water heater replacement/install. We talked through some issues we were having with a jetted tube upstairs and he gave us several options to help, but he also let us know that just by replacing the 16 year old unit things will be better. After we made our decision he got to work and had it down early in the afternoon! Very happy with the results.

I had a shower handle that was damaged beyond repair so had them come out. After watching me cut the drywall, use all of my tools (even a screwdriver) he proceeded to do 15 minutes of soldering a valve that I had already bought from a shower kit. He then pronounced it done. Stuff literally everywhere. No handle, nothing. Then charged me ….$650. No kidding. Told him no way and his boss even told him he was nuts. Only…$375 (reasonable for a Sunday if he had done a professional job). After having him try his best to do a professional job (I have no idea where the hardware that came with the new kit is- he clearly used the old screws that don’t quite fit) I paid him and had him leave. Then I took it all apart and installed a support behind the valve, put it together and cleaned it up. Will never use them again.

Justin was very friendly and explained everything that he would be doing. He answered all my questions to my understanding. His co-worker Jason was very nice and helpful as well. Thank you Dauenhauer Plumbing for great workers and customer service.

They're fairly quick to come, but not good at making sure the issues are actually fixed before leaving. We've had them at our house *four times* in the last five days to (1) clear a clogged line through an existing cleanout and (2) fix a leaking toilet seal that they caused during the unclogging but charged us to fix anyway. It is *still* not fixed correctly despite nearly $700 in charges. Most recently, they sent someone who was rude and dismissive. Look elsewhere to save time and money.

Mark Mitchell did a toilet reinstallation and bathroom sink reinstallation. He left the space cleaner than he found it! Good communication and gave me recommendations for future changes I’m considering for the bathroom.

Arrived quickly. Professional. Fixed the issue. Cleaned up mess. Couldn’t be happier with their service.

Absolutely horrible experience. I have called 4 times asking for an itemized bill and have yet to receive it. I spent 472$ on 45 minutes of work and my toilet is still running and leaking. I have been told numerous times, they would send me an itemized bill and still haven't. I will NEVER use them again and will proudly share on every platform how the have treated me.

On Monday, March 21, 2022, we had our hot water heater replaced. Andrew Dwyer was the technician who came to the house. He came on time, inspected the tank, gave us an estimate, and asked if we would like him to replace it right then. We said yes. He got to work immediately and seemed thorough. We were well pleased with his plumbing expertise and speed of working.However, there was one significant issue that we feel we must mention to protect Andrew and your other employees in similar future situations.The water tank is on our second floor, and we were somewhat surprised that one man alone was going to tackle getting the old and new tanks up/down the stairs. There was no problem taking the new tank upstairs. The problem occurred with the old tank coming down. A dolly was used to haul the tanks. However, there was no strapping of the tanks to the dolly and, on the way down, Andrew lost control of the tank and the tank slid down the final three or four stairs. As a result, our dry wall was marred and scuffed and, on one side of the stairs, gouged. There were a couple marks on the carpet, maybe from leaking sediment/water. The biggest damage was to the hard wood flooring at the bottom of the stairs. It received dents, scratches and gouges.Andrew was very apologetic and said that he would report the incident to the office. Actually, he was very shaken up that it had occurred. Indeed, we feel that he was very lucky he was not injured. He could have been trapped under the tank or broken an arm or leg. It seems that the accident might have been prevented if the tank had been secured to the dolly by one or more straps. It appeared that the water in the old tank may have shifted and/or Andrew lost his footing, resulting in the tank getting away from his control. Had the incident happened at the top of the stairs, it would have been much more serious. Our recommendation is that, in future jobs, the hot water tank be secured to the dolly and two persons be employed to move water tanks up and down stairs.

When the main line of our sewage was clogged, I immediately began calling local plumbers to get someone out here fast. No one was available except Dauenhauer! They were so responsive and had Josh at our house the very same day. Josh worked outside for several hours and did everything in his power to get the job done without costing us a fortune! He was forthcoming about price before he started working and kept me updated on his progress throughout.Once he left, I noticed one toilet upstairs was still not flushing. I called the office again, and to my surprise, Josh came back! Mind you, this was well after 5pm and he easily could have told us to wait until the next morning! When he got back to the house, he said he wanted to make sure we were taken care of because we had 3 young kids in the house-- this is just top notch customer service!I am so impressed with Josh's and Dauenhauer's willingness to provide excellent service. They truly went above and beyond to ensure all of our issues were resolved, and they did it at a very reasonable cost!I highly recommend this company and will use them for all future plumbing needs.

Had a clogged/very slow draining sink. I did everything I could (without using chemicals). Called and within 2 hours technician was at my house. Drain was unclogged within the hour. Needed 50ft of auger, well beyond my DYI tools. Professional work, very pleased. Tech was Austin.

We had a great experience with Mark and his new employee. They showed up, provided us with accurate information, and told us everything up front. Mark even suggested calling the water company which saved us from having to pay a huge bill.

This company did repairs for a previous landlord of mine and I’m sure they did an average job. However, they did a job at my previous residence and put my email address in as the property manager’s email three years ago, and ever since I have been receiving all the confirmation, survey, follow up, “on the way”, and invoice emails the property manager of my previous residence should have been receiving. They aren’t a small leasing company, so it’s a lot of emails. I have reached out REPEATEDLY to get my email removed from their system to no avail. The lack of professionalism ensures I will never personally use their services. At the end of the day this is a small inconvenience and isn’t the end of the world, but this is my last ditch effort to get them to STOP EMAILING ME. PLEASE.

Donivan arrived to my residence on Christmas Eve and was nothing short of phenomenal. While I called most plumbing companies just to be told there isn't much they could do to assist due to cold temperatures. When Donivan arrived he jumped right into action and explained a very thorough game plan on how we would thaw my frozen pipes. He made me feel as comfortable and calm during a very stressful time. Donivan should be recognized and rewarded from your company for an outstanding job. 5 stars!!

I called Dauenhauer Plumbing because my water bill doubled from previous bill, indicating a water leak. They called when they were on the way. Two men arrived and started checking for the leak. Within 15 minutes, they had finished. They told me there was no leak and it was probably a bad meter reading and to call to have it read again. I asked what their fee was. They told me NO CHARGE !!! It is rare to find an honest company these days but Dauenhauer is. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. They are now on my call list for any future plumbing issues.

Austin was able to get so much done in 3 hours! I had a leak issue that I thought was coming from the bathroom down to the first floor but it ended up being from the washer box. While he was here he also identified an issue with the water heater, explaining what the contents probably looked like (nasty). After draining the old one, he was definitely right! They replaced the washer box and water heater very efficiently and professionally. Will definitely be giving him a call for any work in the future!

It cost over $300 to replace a flushing valve. They did come back when I called because the toilet needs plunging every few flushes. Of course it flushed fine with nothing in it when they came back so wouldn’t change anything. I’ve now had months of plunging every day and am still frustrated. The technician was kind and professional, but I still have a problem and paid a lot of money for a simple job.

Older homes often have remaining plumbing fixtures that have never been updated. Dauenhauer Plumbing's service representative patiently and effectively completed the required fixture replacements in a superb manner. Based upon my satisfaction with the quality of work done and the price point for the services rendered, I highly recommend this competent Louisville company.

The service was spectacular. I have a toilet that needed repaired and it took the plumber several trips, several attempts to obtain the correct parts, and he was in and out a few times. But, James did not give up. He kept in contact and was absolutely the most professional person that I've ever had service my home. I'd recommend him and Dauenhauer to anyone.

Was a no show! Had an appointment between 10am to 2pm. Got a call from the office at 8:30pm stating that he had called and no answer fro us! I explained that he did call that morning at 11:28 and left a msg that he was in his way. Then received another call from him at 12:30 stating he has went to another call and we would be next in line. At 3pm after him not showing up I called the office and they said we where on the list for his last appointment.the she said we only have three people working today. I was not told that they would be short handed nor did they say that when I made the appointment. The part that was their BIG mistake was when she called me at 8:30 at night and said he called and there was no answer, we’ll I have a smart phone and it tell me when someone calls and the time of call. Donivan Headrick and Nathaniel Davis came to my home on 10/15/21 to remove old kitchen sink and faucet and replace with new sink and faucet. They were very professional, gave me an estimate of cost before starting work, went about their work quietly and with great knowledge of what they were doing. I am very satisfied with the work they did and will use Dauenhauer Plumbing again when needed.

I had an emergency the day after Thanksgiving. My water tank blew out, and water covered my basement floor. My neighbor came and shut off the water and referred me to Dauenhauer Plumbing. When I called, a friendly voice answered, How can I make your day better. I knew I was in good hands. Eric Yost, a highly experienced plumber, came within a few hours. Eric diagnosed the problem, left, and returned with a new water tank. He installed the tank and removed the old tank in no time. The price was fair, and the warranty is excellent! Dauenhauer truly made my day better!

We needed a sewer clean out replacement, and asked for an estimate. They discovered things that other places had missed in their quote, including the direction of the sewer to the main, which was not straight out to the street. They also offered different levels of repair. When they technicians arrived, they worked quickly, efficiently, and communicated very well. They completed the work in half a day. Very impressed with this company.

I have used Dauenhauer for going on 10 years now. I was so sure on my decision with them. After this experience I will never EVER call them again. They told me they had fixed several of my leaks and after paying them $30,000. My residents were back in the office telling me that they still had water pouring from there ceiling. I am so disappointed from this company due to the fact; when I asked them to come back to the same leak not once, twice, third, fourth time. Every single time it was something that go over looked and they had to charge for it again. I am so disappointed in this company and had very high hopes with them. I can say since they lost some very good employees. They have went down hill big time. I am more then disappointed. Instead of the manager calling and making it right. He sent someone who had no clue what he was doing and said we have to charge you again on something you have already paid not once 3 times on. This place is a joke and I highly suggest you call someone but this company. I have been let down and would had never dreamed this place would be nothing but stealing money from loyal customers. That’s what I call that when you have paid them for the service and the service has not been completed. Also when you try to get in touch with a manager you only call and get a call center. But of course since payment has been paid you never receive a call back from anyone like your told you would. Whatever has happened in the last year was not good for this company!!!!!!!! Don’t call this company unless it’s something February easy because they obviously can not handle big jobs. They want to take your money tell you the job is done and when you call back and tell them it’s still leaking they want to say we have to charge excessive amount of money. What a joke!!!!!!

I had multiple workers in my home over a span of a few days. They were always on time, polite and communicated alot of the details of the project to me along the way. Most of the their mess they did clean up. Did take off 1 star for the extra detail clean up that could have been done. For example, the room they worked in had my washer/dryer and shelves in it. I had to wipe them all down 3 times to get the layers of dirt and dust off them from the work done. No attempt was made to clean them off at all. I understand they aren't maids but I would have been satisfied with a small attempt. This doesn’t deter me from using them from future work though. They did an amazing job regardless and I know for future I need to either cover things myself or ask them to clean further before they leave.

Had a great experience. Hunter was punctual, professional and everyone was great to deal with when we needed quick service for a clogged drain. Would absolutely use again.

We had them out initially, for a bathtub leak. Which they fixed with no problem. Then we decided on a rebuild of that faucet. They came back and took care of it. The technician, Steven, was great! He was kind, and respectful. He told me when he would do certain parts of the job (turning off water, getting parts, etc) and explained what was the cause of the problem, how he fixed it and so forth. It was easy to schedule and I felt at ease with him working in my home. Which is a big deal. I would highly recommend him and the other technicians I've been in contact with at Dauenhauer.

They came to look at the water heater and take measurements, said they'd be back the next morning at 9 am. The next morning, no phone call, nothing, I called THEM at 4:45 and they said they'd be there the next day. Next day some came , took measurements,left, never came back. I called again and they said they didn't have the water heater in stock. So this is on a Friday night now when they tell me they'll be back on MONDAY ! Little did I know they work 24 hrs a day an I'm not considered an emergency ! So it's freezing cold, no hot water for aweek and I'm not a emergency ! You'd think they'd go to Lowes or Home Depot and get the water heater !

I was so happy that Kyle Bowling was the plumber that was sent to take care of my plumbing problems. He was very professional and wow what a nice person. Only place in town that had appointments that day. Appreciated them texting me a picture of the tech so I knew would be at my door. Arrived 20 minutes early but called ahead to make sure that was ok. Super friendly and explained everything very well. Worked hard to figure out the problem and when he personally wasn’t qualified to fix it, gave suggestions and an amazing price for his work (with a coupon!). 5 stars... Logan is amazing! They came the same day I called them and they came on time. They quickly assessed the situation and fixed the problem, which was not as serious as I feared. Worker came in asked what was wrong and I told him we had a leak in wall. He immediately frowned and said you'll have to call American leak detectors to find the leak then we'll come back and fix it. I'm like really? So I asked for the number which he didn't have, told me to Google it, then he left. Of course I called the leak detector company and they said they only do underground leaks and that I need to call a plumber like daunhower, they they have the same equipment as Any other plumber to find leaks. Very disappointed in this company.

The plumber came within appointment window. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly that showed his experience and professionalism. He also found that v poll was not on the pipe that prevents air lock. He tried to fix the sump pump that was not kicking the water but running. He realized it won’t be fixable and with in an hour he came back with a new sump pump and fixed it in no time. The moment he plugged the new pump, it stated kicking out the water with force.I was happy that he took care of the issue.I would recommend him for further needs of plumbing services.

Had leaky cast iron sewer pipe in crawl space. Tried to patch it myself, but a new leak appeared in another location. Decided pipes were old and too far gone and needed to be replaced. Daunhauer did the job at a fair price. Took 2 guys 2 days to replace all cast iron in crawl space with PVC. I’m sure it was physically exhausting, but they got it done. I crawled under house to check it out. Work looked good to me.

Everyone else insisted on just putting in a new WH but I knew it was only the gas valve and Kyle diagnosed and concurred. Dauenhaurer may not have made as much on this repair job as installing a new WH, but they gained a customer for life and will make that up and more just on the word of mouth as I intend to tell my friends and neighbors that they are the ONLY service to use when it comes to plumbing and HVAC. Dauenhauer did a lot of work for me over a period of about 3 weeks. While their plumbers were friendly, they were extremely over-priced. The first plumber who came out charged me almost $1k because he thought there was a clog in a toilet drain line and he kept cutting sections of the pipe out to try to find it. Everytime he cut and repaired a section he charged me another $300. A clog wasn't even the main issue. $1k and this was before any work at all was done. This was just cutting up my ceiling and walls and trying to find an imaginary clog.They also left a huge mess when they left. I called to talk to a supervisor about it and the lady in the office, Suzanne, was extremely rude to me and told me that leaving a huge mess was just how plumbers were. After I insisted that it was outside of the norm, she finally said she would have the supervisor call me. When the supervisor Ben did come out and saw the huge mess he was extremely apologetic and helped to rectify the situation. That was the most positive part of my experience with this company, and if it weren't for Ben and how he handled the situation, I'd have just given this company one star.

We had copper pipes which sprang a leak. Larry, from Dauenhauer Plumbing, was prompt and efficient. He was able to resolve the issue quickly. We were expecting to have to get a new shower valve, but upon closer inspection, we had developed a pinhole leak in our supply line. Great transparency and quick, efficient work. Mr. Krupp took several minutes to listen to what was happening with our plumbing and asked questions as well as looked at the various plumbing locations in the house (each bathroom, shower, sink...). He was able to locate the source of the problem, which included raw sewage leaking through our kitchen soffit and light fixtures from the upstairs plumbing. He cut a hole in the ceiling and soffit at the exact location of the issue and discovered that the previous plumbing company (that we called the day before) had burst the p-trap in the master shower while attempting to snake a plugged toilet in the bathroom down hall, which was the source of the issue. Kyle replaced the trap and part of the pvc pipe and also corrected the plumbing from a job we had done four years prior. He explained what he was doing with each step and answered any and all questions we had. They then pulled the toilet that was the original issue and cleared that clog within 5 minutes.He also made sure to lay plastic over our counters and floors before working and took the time to clean before leaving the job.Mr. Krupp was effecient, polite, and professional from start to finish.

The service was prompt, clean, timely, efficient and provided some learning with shut off valves. Both technicians took care when removing the 75 gallon tank up the flight of stairs to ensure no damage was incurred. Pricing seemed fair, especially for same day service. Would recommend!

This was my personal experience, yours may vary.I have used Dauenhauer in the past and had been pleased, however this time around I had a fairly poor experience worth providing feedback on.I called a couple weeks ago to have our two AC units inspected. One of the units was operating but not blowing cold air, unrelated to ambient temperature or time of day. The technician who came out was polite and explained what he found honestly, checking all systems, pressures, coolant levels, etc. and saying that all systems “checked out good” so maybe “it’s just that it’s hot out.” We went over options as to why it may not be blowing cold air, refrigerant, pressures, systems, unit age, etc. I was told everything operationally checked out good and that (the technician) couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t cooling. He was the HVAC technician, I took him at his word. My business and expertise is elsewhere, that’s why I called a recommended professional.After a week of the same, poor to no performance from the AC unit, I decided to schedule another appointment with Dauenhauer.In the meantime, knowing something was just not right with the unit, I was referenced to an independent HVAC professional with 30 years of experience who was able to come out the next day.That independent HVAC technician diagnosed the problem (a compressor capacitor not operating at necessary levels) and fixed it in less than 30 minutes. I explained my previous experience with Dauenhauer and frustration about how something so operationally vital to any mechanical unit shouldn’t be hard to troubleshoot and correct. In his words: “No quality HVAC technician should miss a faulty capacitor.”With AC now fixed, I called Dauenhauer to cancel my upcoming appointment. When asked the reason for cancelling? I politely described the reasoning and that the issue that they couldn’t find had been diagnosed and fixed in less than 30 mins by someone else.There was no remorse, not even an apology for not being able to diagnose or fix the problem during their inspection, no offer of good-faith for poor performance, or even a “well, I’m glad you got it fixed”.Just no response or anything.I understand that all systems require technical experience. I understand that ability comes through experience. But if my business or my guys that work for me couldn’t solve a problem for a client, I would make every effort to rectify the problem and I’d take it personally if someone else was able to solve a problem that I couldn’t even identify.My experience was that: they didn’t care that they provided a technician who couldn’t diagnose and fix what (as relayed by another HVAC technician) to be a “blatantly obvious problem”, then didn’t apologize, or even provide any sort of good-faith statement knowing that I had paid them to essentially do nothing, and then had to go elsewhere to pay another technician to fix what theirs couldn’t even diagnose.In my opinion, that’s a pretty poor experience in my book, regardless of industry. And their response (or lack thereof) to someone else being able to quickly, and easily fix what they couldn’t, has me choosing to never do business with them again.

Donald Thomas was in our facility about an hour after the owner mentioned to a service rep that we had a leak that was aggravating in the employee restroom. He was on the call about an issue he was having at his home. Mr. Thomas came in diagnosed our problem went to the supply house to get the parts and had the flush valve fixed in about another hour. I would strongly recommend Dauenhauer Plumbing to anyone I know in need of a plumber.

After two previous estimates from two other companies that averaged $200 didn't work out I decided to call Dauenhauer. I needed a kitchen faucet and garbage disposal replaced and a bathroom faucet replaced, all of which we already had on hand. Neither was an emergency. Company was quick to dispatch a tech give me an estimate and was ready to do the labor if we agreed to the estimate. They were quick, responsive, friendly and very professional. I was excited because I hadn't been able to find someone to do it. The only downside was I did not expect the estimate to be almost $650. Seriously I can buy a brand new sink for both my kitchen and my bathroom for that much money. I still would recommend to call them and at least get an estimate, but don't be surprised if the cost is outrageous.

He then brought in Diamond Cut Concrete to cut & jackhammer our existing basement floor. Jimmy then came in with Mike to reroute and install all new shower and vanity drains and vents. It is rare that one feels they are getting the best advice that doesn't require the most expensive offer on their plate! The two gentlemen who came to my rescue (one whose name was Ben) gave me, what I considered the best advice and most relief I could expect finacially. I thought I would need to spend $1,400. on two new toilets, when in fact, they explained why my toilets were the best on the market and all they needed were new guts and a system check up. My nearly 100 year old home wasn't one to back down and Chris stuck to it exhausted multiple tactics and techniques to ensure the job was to right, the first time. Mike Rafferty had a heck of a job to get my water heater out of the closet. He was professional and got the hot water heater replaced. They got out to us on Christmas Eve so that we could turn our water back on.

I recently bought a home in Lexington and we had our inspector conduct a camera survey of our sewer line prior to purchase and the report that followed was dismal at best. Another local plumber was contacted to give an estimate on repairs and it was simply staggering. We refused to pass up on the home we had our hearts tied into and upon completion of the sale we contacted the plumbers who had helped us before in a pinch, Daeunhauer. Tony and Taylor showed up to do their inspection of the sewer lateral and instead of massive repairs costing thousands and resulting in the removal of a bathroom floor and excavation of the backyard they concluded the pipe may just need an extensive deep clean. Tony and Taylor returned with correct equipment and while it wasn't an emergency they worked well into the evening for hours cleaning all 70' of the pipe to a sparkling clean. This pipe had clearly never been serviced since it was installed and while the cleaning did cost some money it was insignificant to the original estimate of repairs. We were sent a before and after video and Tony and Taylor did a phenomenal job. This is why we will continue to use plumbers from Daeunhauer. We called for an estimate, got some dippy guy who came out of our attic and suggested we sell our house due to the difficulty of replacing attic plumbing. At that point, we just wanted him out of our house!!!He quoted us more than double to have our house replumbed in Pex. We had entire house replumbed in Uponor for less than half of what he quoted.

Mark Mitchell was awesome. He listened as I explained the situation, offered suggestions, and described various potential outcomes would be. He was kind and professional. We enjoyed having Mark as our technician and we think Dauenhauer is GREAT!

8/23/23 - Can't stop, won't stop! We did some preventative maintenance on our ancient system and upgraded a water heater for a future bathroom remodel. Mike was THE BEST person to work on this. It was hot and complicated but he just got the job done and was so professional the whole time. Love this company!12/27/23 - I'll comment every time because I love this company so much. Anthony came today to identify the source of water staining our ceiling. We just had a major freeze and a pipe froze. He was professional and helped easily determine the source of the water. They did a good job installing a new water heater. They stayed late until the job was done. I will use them again on future plumbing repairs. Trustworthiness is something more businesses should strive for.

We had 2 other plumbers recommended to us but neither ever called us back, which is fine with me because I discovered Dauenhauer. The lady I spoke with when I called was super helpful and kind, considering I always struggle explaining things of this nature.. We needed our reverse osmosis uninstalled and a new disposal installed. Mike and the guy helping him, wish I'd gotten his name, were both great. They were neat and super polite. The disposal is working great. They are definitely who I'll be calling when I need a plumber again.

Plumber came out and diagnosed the problem right away. This is what I expected from them having using them in the past. It was simple but they had to order a part. So I was please order the part and let me know to come back and install. 2 weeks later nothing, I call the office trying to find out what was going on and was basically given the run around for FOUR days. I called every day being professional and I never received a call back after being promised contact from someone. Having used them in the past and receiving 5 start service then I am stunned at this type of service or lack there of. I will be finding a new company to handle all my rentals now sadly. The only thing I can think of that is different now is that the tenant is POC and wondering if that is why they don't want the job.

Mike Dempsey fixed a complete clog I had in my kitchen sink. He was very professional and polite and completed the job in a timely manner. I would recommend him and Dauenhauer for any type of plumbing problems or issues.

I had a laundry list of jobs needing to be done. This was a 6 hour list of jobs. All were done quickly and efficiently. My technician was on time, wearing a mask, with a great attitude. Each job went smooth as silk, (he made it seem) I would hire him again and feel confident in his ability to get things done without any hesitation. An added bonus was his ability to greet the dogs with sincere caring. Thank you.

I contacted Dauenhauer twice to schedule an appointment. Three days later, they've still never bothered to call or contact me. They obviously don't want good business, so they can suck it while I find someone else who isn't worthless.

Service appointment was 8-10, received notification tech was en route at 9:55, did not arrive until 1130 so I had to juggle some meetings. That being said, tech (Loren Taylor Wright) was incredible. I’m certain the scheduling was not his fault. I explained my odd issue (smell that I couldn’t figure out for months), he listened intently and almost immediately found the source of the problem. Ran out to get parts, and fixed it quickly. Even leak tested components not involved in the fix.

Diagnosed problem quickly and made repair. Tristan was professional and personable.

Mark and Daryl did a great job explaining everything to us. Mark went to bat for our family in communicating with the city about the damage to the sewage line. Even when the city wouldn’t take any responsibility to cover the damage, Mark and Daryl did everything they could to help us out. They were easy to work with and did a great job! Highly recommend.

I am a Landlord and I require service that is responsive and knowledgeable. Maynard went beyond expectations with my project. I made an error selecting the toilet to be installed. He search the known sources for the correct toilet size. He located one, but it required traveling to Lexington (the install was in Nicholasville) to obtain it. I can’t say enough about how respectful I am, when I find a dedicated professional.

They performed a tub install at a Maysville property and did a good job with the installation. We were not expecting that we would have to hire an additional contractor and incur additional expense to fix the drywall that was cut to install the tub. They said that they were not able to do the drywall repair. Good response time and good work overall.

Larry Higgins confirmed the problem that I thought had caused the leak in my guest bathroom and found another one. He fixed everything after returning to the shop for a part he didn’t have on the truck. He also checked the apartment below mine, which had received the leaked water, both before making the repairs in my bathroom and afterwards. I am a satisfied customer, and my neighbor is happy to have a dry bathroom again.

Due to water backing up in our shower and the possibility it could be a backup in the outside sewer, I was told to call Dauenhauer by my HOA.When the plumbers came out I was told that the cost to clear the drain if the problem was inside the house would be $239!! The plumbers were very nice and courteous; but the cost is WAY out of line Because they were already at my home I went ahead and had them do the job. They showed me that hair had been the cause of the clog. Lesson learned. Next time I will take a different course of action.

Anthony Jones and the gentleman with him, i am sorry i have misplaced his name, both did a great job opening up my drain line out to the main hookup at the street. they were very courteous and knowledgeable and fixed the problem in a short time. i appreciate their professional services.

had a huge leak that i needed fixed immediately. the individual that worked in the office was very nice. he told me it would be about 4 weeks, but then i told him it was an emergency, and after putting me on hold for a couple mins he told me they would be out in a couple hours. Logan and his partner were nice, understanding, and quick. i didn't have to check on them or explain things i didn't understand, they had already found and assessed the leak. and they had it fixed before i even knew it, and i didn't have to keep my club closed. will definitely be using this company again.

It's striking. Other plumbers, other a.c. repair folks we have used always know what the problem is, without the least doubt. Some of them know it (loudly) even as they are walking up the driveway before they have seen the problem in question. Facts don't deter them. Investigation is something they don't need to do. But in two cases -- plumbing a year ago and fixing the exhaust fan of the a.c. today, Dauenhauer takes the old fashioned approach. They investigate. They check out the machinery or the pipes. They test it with wires and instruments. They look it over thoroughly. Then they make their judgment, and odds are, their judgment is right. So Isaac Watts did today. Polite, outgoing, ready to explain in clear language what was wrong and what could fix it, his visit was well worth waiting for, and -- as far as I can tell -- seems to have been just what needed to be done. I can't think of a better testimonial for the firm, and this, in a serial complainer like myself, is saying plenty.

Chris came on time with a colleague and patiently interacted with my home warranty upon request. I was able to leave him in my home while I went to take an exam with no worries. He completed quality work, left a clean space afterwards, and was very responsive the entire time. Thank you Chris Moss!

Nobody likes that moment when you step into the shower and find out your water heater has decided it's been a good run, but they're leaving you to spend more time with their family at the recycling center. And nobody is excited to fork over the cash for a new unit, but Mike was not only a professional, but a very enjoyable person to talk with. The system is now running great with minimal interruption and I didn't have to do any of the work. What more would you want?

I called yesterday and was given 8am - 1pm to make it to my place. They called me 30 minutes in advance and I went home and they got me fixed up perfectly! My regular plumber had a 2 week wait, so I was thrilled. I expected it to be a big, bad fix and it was not a big deal at all. The guy was great!

Ryan did a great job. He checked the toilet first to see what it's doing. Explained several options to address the issue: auger the toilet drain, or remove the toilet to check the drain line, or replace the toilet; no pressure on us. We chose the first option, he augured the toilet drain, then rechecked the flushing flow several times. He also gave us several tips to try to prevent recurrence.I will definitely call them next time I need a plumber!

Gas hot water heat was out during the Thanksgiving weekend. Called and they were able to come out on the same Saturday in a pouring rain and replace the water heater. Great job to Mark Mitchell! Gentlemen knew what they were doing and took the time to explain how to relight the pilot flight and the functionality of the new water heater. Would definitely call them again!

I HIGHLY recommend this company. Sorry for long review, but it’s worth reading. Dauenhaur’s will be my go-to plumber from now on. I recently had issues w/ tiny black bugs coming out of the bathroom drains. Totally grossed me out and was frustrating. I tried Green Gobbler twice, it only helped temporarily. Per my exterminator’s rec, I called two plumbing companies to evaluate whether there was an issue, needed a deep-cleaning, etc.. as the bugs created a breeding ground in my pipes. Dauenhaur’s was the first company I called, the scheduler knew exactly what I was talking about, as she had similar issues at her apartment. I got an appt for next day. I called a 2nd company, also had great reviews, who was available same day. The 2nd company was quick, unprofessional, wasn’t wearing uniforms, etc. They said I needed to replace my entire pipe/drainage system to the end of the house, reset my toilet, possibly have sub-flooring replaced (which they don’t do, so I’d have to hire a contractor); they quoted $4,800-$7,800 for their job alone. THANK GOODNESS I had scheduled Dauenhaur’s for the following day. Unlike the other company, Dauenhauer’s employees were respectful, top-notch and knowledgeable. JD and Austin were AMAZING. He was thorough in his evaluation and spent more time in the bathroom/crawl space then the other company’s entire visit. They stated NONE of the work I was quoted the day before was needed! The only thing he recommend in the future was possibly reset my toilet, but that was only if the bugs didn’t go away after trying home remedies to clear out the pipes/breeding ground. He called his supervisor for advice, he recommended trying something acidic, like lemon juice. The bugs are gone. I can’t THANK them enough for their honesty and expert opinion, especially as a single female. They saved me several $1,000s, unnecessary inconvenience, mess and work. THANK YOU FOR BEING AN HONEST COMPANY WITH INTEGRITY AND VALUES and hiring quality, respectful employees! It’s definitely rare these days. I can’t praise JD and Austin, enough!

Conner and his partner replaced two sump pumps and a waste station ejector. They did a fantastic job!!! It was a three day job and they arrived early worked throughout the day, did a great job and cleaned up the job site. I had Dauenhauer out to my new home to clean the air ducts and to install a new water line under my kitchen sink. Both the plumber and the HVAC guys were able to come out on the same day and got everything done at once! The HVAC guys even taught me a few things about my new wifi thermostat and the plumber was great about explaining his work. I was impressed and would use them again!
