Bluegrass Rooter is the best in town. Sunday night we had a sewage backup, by Monday morning he was able to clear it, and by 3pm the next day the sewage line was repaired. And it wasn't too expensive.

We have owned two homes over the past 10 years that have needed a complete replacement of an HVAC system and Ron and Bluegrass Rooter provided EXCELLENT service. This is a very big investment and can be very scary for homeowners to deal with. Fortunately, Ron walked us through every decision and gave us the perfect systems for our needs and our budget. I never (not once) felt pressured to buy a specific system and he was able to provide industry review information to help us select a highly rated, reliable and energy efficient system. In addition, we have always been pleased with their plumbing services and they are always our first call for any concerns including tank kits, clogged drains, re-routing pipe in our yard for our sewer pump, and even replacing our hot water heater when it finally gave out.

I would like to add that Ron is also a very nice and trustworthy person. I first met him at the Lexington Ronald McDonald House where he was assisting with several plumbing issues. He was kind and courteous to the staff, volunteers and guest families. His prices are always fair and I know that the RMHC charity has been very pleased with his service as well as his commitment to our community.

We hired them to replace sewer line. Was told it would take a day and a half and took 8 days and project still isn't complete. We are left with basement concrete floor in shambles and other work undone because once the sewer pipe was actually connected we were done with this company. We will hire someone else to finish the work. Left several messages for owner to contact us only to be ignored. Crew never showed up when they were supposed to, always hours late if and when they did show up. Very stressful experience.

Used for plumbing emergency. Pricing was affordable, very quick response and professional. Will definitely use again!

Called and got two separate quotes to repair my split system. The first company shows up and looks at my system says it's 12 years old you need a new system quoted $7000. Bluegrass rooter arrives and it's the owner of the company and he starts testing capacitors, test the fan motor, trys using a hard start capacitor, he tried replacing another capacitor. He tells me unfortunately the compressor is shot and I would need a new one. I gave the job to Bluegrass rooter because he actually troubleshot the problem and honored his quote at the end of the job. I will definitely be using him for future issues.

Ron was great, I called at 10 pm needing someone to come out right away bc our water couldn’t be turned back on due to my husband “trying” to fix the problem himself! He has just gotten home but came right over anyways and fixed the problem along with another issue we had for a very fair price! We have found our new plumber! Thanks!

Bluegrass Rooter service was excellent. I called them as a new customer late at night on December 23rd for a clogged kitchen sink. Ron(the owner) came out the next morning on December 24th(Christmas Eve) and unclogged the drain in about 30 minutes. Called me on his way over at the time he stated he would call and arrived on time. Excellent service at a reasonable price. Bluegrass Rooter and Ron will be our go-to plumber in the Lexington area. Definitely recommend

Ron came over around 10 pm because I had an emergency, another plumber really messed up a new kitchen faucet and under my sink was flooded as well as part of my basement. He came over promptly when I called him and fixed everything. He also came back the next day to install a dishwasher. He did a great job it was very friendly and reliable. I highly recommend him.

The business owner should be more mindful of who’s driving your company vehicles, wrecklessly.

Needed sewer line replacement to the city line due to an old collapsed pipe. Received several quotes and watched two fiber optic camera views. Bluegrass Rooter came in over $2,000 cheaper and took the time for a thorough plan. With trenchless replacement, the job was finished in one day and they cleaned up the next. Respectful of my home and had minimal outside landscape issues. Highly recommend.

I would recommend Ron with Bluegrass Rooter. I have worked with Ron for several years now for multiple properties. He is very dependable, honest, and his prices are fair. He always provides top notch customer service. He is quick to respond and completes the job quickly and with no call backs. Bluegrass rooter has completed jobs for me from a simple drain clog to full plumbing line replacements. He is also great at HVAC. Troubleshoots and diagnosis the problems and makes fast repairs. He has completed full HVAC replacements same day as I called needing his diagnosis and his prices beat all of my other contractors. I would not hesitate to call him for anything!

They never showed up or called to say that they wouldn't be there twice! I had to call after the first time to reschedule and they never bothered to show up the second time either.

Bad service

I needed a new furnace, I felt over whelmed , who do I call, can I trust them? I came across Bluegrass Rooter, very professional on the phone , even more so in person! I definitely made the right decision with this company. I highly recommend them.

We needed a full sewer line replacement--it was a complex job, with two lines exiting the house--one under the basement and one under the garage. Bluegrass Rooter successfully pulled new lines using their trenchless (pipe bursting) equipment and worked tirelessly over 2.5 long days to get everything replaced. They saved us from having to dig up our porch, sidewalk, garage, driveway, landscaping and much of the yard. Other companies told us the trenchless method couldn't be done in our situation. These guys know what they are doing! Even better, their pricing was more than fair--less than half of what one of the franchise companies quoted us! Highly recommended.

My neighbor had this company come out to replace a water line. In the process, this company dug in my yard across the property line without permission, drove their excavator onto my property and totally messed up my landscaping. None of this has been repaired by the company. They also hit a gas line and we had to evacuate our home and property on a Sunday afternoon.

Debating whether I will sue for trespass and property damage. Do NOT recommend.

Highly recommend this company. Ron was very professional and completed the job promptly. He did not give me the lowest estimate but offered the best warranty (2x longer than his competitors), which means he stand behind his work.

Ron and his wife are wonderful people, the service is beyond expectations. I would never hire another plumber for my family or my business. Service and price are always reasonable for the work that is done.

had an issue with a mainline clog that I wasn't to clear myself after hours of working my hand auger. finally willing to submit i started calling plumbers. started with a company that had left a card when we bought the house June 2019, and was referred to another company. referred company quoted price and time frame. not soon enough but if I could get someone quicker could cancel the ticket. enter Google...started calling every number down the list. took too long to get this number as he isn't high enough in the list, but call him. best price, and won't pass because the work is hard. took almost 2.5 hours to clean out the clog. was very densely compacted and no easy task. will call again if ever needed. hell of a guy.

I got Bluegrass Rooter to install an outside spigot for me in the older home that I purchased. Chris showed up and did an absolutely stellar job. I'm exceedingly happy with the quality of work and how quick he was able to get the job done. The price was reasonable and he explained the warranty on parts and labor to me before he even began. I will not use another company for any future plumbing needs, Bluegrass Rooter has my business permanently. Thank you Chris!

Absolutely excellent! I called Bluegrass Rooter after another company couldn't come out when it promised. I'm so glad they canceled! I called Ron Derington at Bluegrass Rooter and he came out the next day.

He also saved me thousands of dollars. The prior company was going to overcharge me for stuff I didn't need. Ron diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed it the same day. Granted, this was an easy small fix. Your problem may be much different.

But call Bluegrass Rooter first! You won't be disappointed. And you can be secure in that you're getting great work done by a professional at a fair price.
