Westside Plumbing of Wichita

I just bought an older home in Wichita a few weeks ago and I had my first plumbing problem today. The sillcock for the outside faucet had burst and water was inundating my basement. I got lucky and Lance, the owner of Westside Plumbing showed up to fix my problem within a couple of hours of me calling/texting. Other plumbing companies wanted me to wait a week so Lance was a godsend. Since I just moved to Wichita from Lawrence it was great to find my plumber for life right from the get go. I won't use another plumber from here on out. Westside earned my loyalty today.

Came home to find a leak in the basement. We called them in the afternoon and by 6 that evening everything was done and fixed. Lance was professional, friendly, explained what he was doing along the way, and arrived when he said he would. Didn't want to see the bill but was pleasantly surprised. We don't feel ripped off, very reasonable rates. Never hope to need a plumber but if/when we do, will definitely call Westside first!

I have used Westside Plumbing before and they continually perform above my expectations. Lance looks over the issue and will give us the options to remedy our situation before proceeding.

Lance was very professional and on top of things. Superb job installing kitchen faucet, which was somewhat involved because of other plumbing features attached. It was great to be advised he was on his way, well within the proposed time, and we could not be more pleased with the work.

My experience was EXCELLENT! I needed a replacement hot water heater NOW. They provided one THE SAME DAY! Other plumbing services I called had appointment dates in the distance, or would send someone over to assess the problem; I didn't want an assessment, I wanted a new hot water heater ASAP. Came out on time with short notice….changed out the Faucet at the price he quoted for install….also changed out the shut off under the sink, and the “tailpipe” with drain stopper at no addition labor….second time we have used them (changed out hot water heater a few months back)….I would highly recommend Westside Pumbing for any plumbing repair you need….have their business card on our bulletin board for quick access…..refreshing to have someone that does the job right with a smile on his face.

Lance actually worked me into his schedule and came over much sooner than I expected. He was polite and knowledgeable and explained the work he was doing as he went along. Fabulous service! Dec 30 evening, the water heater (still under warranty) blew water out the top! By 4:00 Dec 31, New Years Eve, new heater was installed. Westside's service tech, Cody, not only did a great job installing the unit but also met with my wife at Lowe's to coordinate the warranty issues and check out the new heater before he brought it to the house. He was very polite, patient and professional. Highly recommend Westside Plumbing.

Lance came by to help us fix a toilet and the shutoff valve the other day. He was able to schedule us with short notice and get things back in order. I would say the most remarkable thing to us was how well he handled our children badgering him about everything he was doing. Knowing how fun that can be to deal with when they are your own kids makes it even more impressive. He did a wonderful job. We will be using him for our future plumbing needs!

He came out to give me a bid on some repairs. Said he would be back on Wednesday or Thursday of the next week. Two weeks have passed and haven't heard from him.

Service Tech was at my house within a few hours of initial call on a Saturday. My water heater was not heating the water. Tech replaced the gas control valve. Tech was extremely professional and explained the problem and discussed all options. I am extremely pleased with the service. Will definitely use again.

My water heater leaked and need replacement as soon as possible. Call few companies and they are either too pricey or a week away schedule. After left voice message, Westside plumbing text me within an hour, with the estimate cost and the details of services included, and also able to come out next day! Plumber showed up on time, friendly and explains the work been done. Very professional and definitely will recommend to anyone!

Was on time and kitchen garbage disposal and side drain replaced in 45 minutes. I furnished all the parts. Shop rate was $90 /hr but was charged and EXTREME $185. Very disappointed.

Lance came out and replaced a very old house water supply gate valve that was very hard to get at , he replaced it with a ball valve that is now very easy to get to. he also replaced a old yard hydrant valve that was also difficult to get to. His work was very neatly done, Very thorough with excellent attention paid to the detail of his work. Will definitely use again if I need a plumber

Very thorough water heater removal and replacement. Great communication between Westside Plumbing and Choice Home Warranty meant the water heater was ordered and installed within 3 days!! Westside explained an easy way to service and prolong the life of the water heater. I definitely recommend Westside Plumbing for your plumbing needs.

I have tried the big name plumbers and I have simply gotten tired of their attitude so I wanted to try somebody different - a new name I've never tried before. I was not dissatisfied with my choice. The plumber came to fix the problem within the hour. He was extremely polite. He knew exactly what to do and he fixed the problem (remove and replace old parts in the toilet tank) within 30 minutes. I will gladly call this plumber the next time I need a plumber.

I've worked with several plumbing contractors and I can certainly say without a doubt that Lance and his team are absolutely the total package. Lance is reliable, professional, and goes above and beyond to complete the task. What I really value is that Lance doesn't make promises that he cannot keep. If he is uncertain about a time of availability, he will let you know and provide an alternative time accordingly.

Unfortunately I had something come up and did not get a chance to meet the plumber. My friend said he was very nice and courteous. He did call me and keep me informed of the progress, options, and actually said I didn’t need something replaced when I thought I did. He repaired for less than 1/2 the cost quoted. Took pictures and sent to me so that I could see what he was discussing. Clearly Westside is concerned about their customers and not out to bilk you for every penny. I would not hesitate to call them again. He was also able to get out the same day as I was sure I had an emergency issue.

My hot water heater broke down I assume Thursday night 4/14 the day before the Friday before Easter. I had my family from Overland Park coming to stay for Easter. 4 grandchildren and 2 parents plus my wife and I. 8 people no hot water for cleaning dishes or your body. Called 5 places before noon on 4/15 and everyone said we can get there Monday BUT NOT WESTSIDE PLUMBING! Lance said he would be able to install it Friday afternoon and he did actually sooner than he said he would. SAVED MY EASTER and lowered by blood pressure about 100 points too. Thank you Lance and thank you Westside Plumbing!

I had a really old water heater that was about to go out and needed someone quick! They came the next day, very friendly, and did a great job. I don’t have a sump pump or a drain in my basement but they were able to drain it and haul it off without raising the price.. I will definitely give them a call for any future needs!

Horrible customer service! Plumber came out and told my wife we needed all these parts to bring it up to code. ok I understand that, except the fact that we had all those parts already. then the tech argued with me over the phone and told me to just do it myself. When you have already been paid to install a water heater, Install the water heater. They are thieves, and I will not have them do any work for me again nor recommend them to anyone.
