Current Electric is awesome, they do great work and I highly recommend them, especially if doing an electric charger for your Tesla. My panel was maxed out with 100 amps, had them upgrade to 200 amps, they did such a clean job and made sure codes were followed for the village. Their high attention to detail to make sure everything had a clean look is key to a great company! I would totally recommend them and would hire them again in a heart beat!

Dylan and Brian were fantastic. We’ve worked with Dylan on another previous project, and he was wonderful to work with then as well. Both times we needed help with relocating electrical outlets, hiding wires, and mounting TVs. My husband and I agree that Current Electric is one of the best service companies we have ever worked with. They’re professional, friendly, and extremely good at their job!

I got to work with Ovi and Ryan — they were awesome! My project took 2 days and each day they had shown up about 10min early for the 8am start times which I appreciated since it I needed to head into the office. The communication was great also - they walked me thru everything each day so I’d know what’s going on. The overall work was superb too in terms of quality; they did some great work and I highly recommend them for your electrical work needs.

One of the best experiences with a contractor I can remember.Eric walked me through the Tesla wall charger and the scope of work, warning the pipe would have to be painted/covered to look good, and I agreed.I was quoted a couple weeks out, and a fair price compared to what other Tesla owners were charged by other contractorsTheir installers Movie and Even, came out on time, warned me about the cosmetic pipe issue a 2nd time, and finished earlier than promised.Delight to work with.

Julian from Current Electrical was very professional and polite. Did a nice job of separating the circuit for my washer/dryer and sump pump. The whole process took less than 45 minutes. The price is reasonable as well. Would definitely use this company again!

We had Ovi and Bartusz handle a full panel replacement in our condo to accommodate a brand new Eco Smart ECO18 tankless water heater. I went through literally almost a dozen other electrical companies that either quoted too high, never responded to a quote request, or fell off the map once I wanted to engage services. Nevertheless, Current Electric came recommended by someone from Effective Air HVAC in Glenview -- another great firm.I've attached a photo of the actual final results of where our water tank used to sit, which is now a clean, simple tankless setup with two 40 amp feeds which they fed through existing conduit in-wall --- all other firms said it COULDN'T be done. Well they proved them wrong.VERY Happy with the results and we love the new tankless. Never going back to a tank. But please ask for Ovi and Bartusz by name if you need service. These guys were professional, answered all questions, and finished all of their work in a day and a half - as promised! Yes Current Electric will cost you more than the handyman down the block but they stand behind their work and provide excellent expertise which, when it comes to your hot water needs, can't be messed with.Having them come back for moving a light switch in our laundry room very soon as a result of the great service on my first engagement with them.

I’ve used Current Electric for several jobs and they always deliver high quality service— meeting or exceeding my expectations. My most complicated job was having them work with City to upgrade the power to my home. I also used them to increase the current to a specific outlet that kept shorting because of a power hungry computer. Most recently, they installed an outdoor WiFi access point. I would definitely use them again!

Arrived on time and were very professional. Paul replaced a thermostat for a heated floor and tested/reset heater for steam shower. He confirmed everything was working properly before he left. Making the appointment was easy and office staff were friendly. The confirmation emails/texts were helpful. Would definitely use Current Electric in the future.

Current electric was on time (a first for me out of all the contractors I’ve ever used!) friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and kind.They went out of their way to make everything perfect, and made sure they knew exactly how we wanted everything done. Bobby was quick and efficient at diagnosing our electrical issue and had our floor heating up and running in less than an hour. Really liked that he showed me on his thermography camera where all the coils were and that they were heating up after the repair. Definitely would recommend this company.

5 stars. An outlet to the microwave went dead. CE was able to locate a broken wire under the sink and repair it efficiently. Second company I had out to try to find it. Worker very pleasant and efficient. Left the work area in great shape. I would recommend them.

Dylan was so professional and caring. Our appointment was 9am on Monday, August 30. He called me around 8:55am to let me know that he got stuck in heavy traffic and that he would be late. When I asked him to take off his shoes before entering, he kindly put booties over his shoes. He took a very close look at our light fixture, found out what the problem was, fixed our dimmer switch, etc. On top of this, he is a very pleasant, friendly person to talk to. Current Electric handled all of the electric when we built our home 12+ years ago. They did a great job. Since we moved in we have had many occasions to use Current for new projects and improvements we have made. New lights, hanging fixtures, adding outlets and many other small and large projects. Every one we work with is very nice and professional. Electricians we worked with 12 years ago are still with the firm. Their staff is well trained, trustworthy and very competent. They are quick to respond to an e-mail or call. Every appointment they have been on-time and cleaned up extremely well.

Dylan was fantastic! He was very informative, addressed all of our issues, and got what needed to be done quickly, but thoroughly. Would definitely recommend 100%

Asgard Creations has been working with Current for almost six years. They were highly recommended to me by another contractor after several mediocre experiences with other electricians.They did not disappoint. They have a bunch of great guys doing the work. They get in and out fast, they don't make a mess, and their work is top notch.Their management also does a good job. They've always been prompt with estimates, easy to schedule, and they have kept to their scheduled commitments.

I don't have enough good things to say about this company. Last year, the light on my intricate entryway crystal chandelier started arcing and smoking when I turned it on. This chandelier hangs 17' up, and even with my limited knowledge on electrical work, this was going to be an absolute pain of a job for anybody to handle.Arik and team came out, built a scaffold in my entryway and took down the light with its dozens of individually strung crystals. The renovation company who had installed the fixture had used halogen bulbs, placing 9 of them in an 18 diameter x 4 thick plate at the top of the fixture. The heat of the bulbs had melted the interior of the fixture and cooked the drywall in which it was mounted with toggle bolts. Arik not only fixed the light fixture itself, put in LED bulbs, and got everything back to working/looking like it should, but even did me the favor of remounting it using the ceiling joists.Suffice it to say: if you have a difficult job, Current Electrical can handle it. They're professional, willing to explain options and different approaches, and just generally nice people. They're now my go-to group for electrical jobs of any size.

We couldn’t have been happier with our decision to contact and work with the electricians at Current Electrical. We needed to have an old 100 amp pushmatic breaker panel replaced and both Arek and Evan were very professional, methodical and had an eye for detail. They explained everything they were doing and answered all of our questions. They cleaned everything up upon completion of the job and took all of the trash away with them. Current sent a very professional knowledgeable electrician that showed up exactly on time. He not only did the job very efficiently, but was very pleasant to deal with and put tarps down, and brought his own broom and dustpan and cleaned up perfectly. Current Electric’s customer service, punctuality, honesty and knowledge are unmatched. We just finished 3+ months of renovations on our home and dealt with all manner of unsavory construction tactics — contractors and vendors who quote one price only to increase it later, double charging for the same work, etc. Current Electric is the exception — they arrive when they say they will, charge what they quote even if it takes more elbow grease (or something unexpected comes up, and, if we are being honest, when doesn’t something unexpected come up in construction and home repair?), are kind and honest about the nature of the problem and give effective solutions. We worked specifically with Dylan who braved 25 degree cold for over 2.5 hours to diagnose and resolve some outdoor electrical issues. Dylan also fixed an indoor lighting issue in about 5 minutes that our contractor’s electrician couldn’t figure out after 2 visits. If you are looking for an electrician you can absolutely trust, Current Electric is the answer.

Electrical work is something you should never skimp on and these folks never do. Current did the electrical work when my house was built in 1999-2000. They were outstanding then and I've used them ever since. They've installed low-voltage outdoor wiring when I re-did landscapes, they've done electrical work when I've remodeled bathrooms, and they've transitioned me painlessly from incandescent and halogen lighting to LEDs. They're good people who do good work and I can't recommend them highly enough.

I am a fan of Current Electrical. They are super responsive, do high quality work, and most importantly you can trust them. In addition, not many electricians are comfortable with pools or pool electrical work and they are very comfortable with it. I have hired them several times for my pool area. I don't normally write reviews, but I definitely recommend this contractor. We needed a 240 line run quickly to replace a failing water heater, and they were available within 1 hour of our HVAC contractor's request to do the work. We reviewed the scope and, thinking they would be back in a couple of days, Andy came in with his tools and got to work fishing wire and rewiring breakers, finishing the job in under an hour and a half. On his way out he installed a GFI outlet in the kitchen for me in about 8 minutes. We'll have them back to do some additional work - I rarely have a contractor like that - immediately jump in, know exactly what was needed, and just get it done at a reasonable price. No nonsense, professional, fast, and knowledgeable.

I have been using Current Electric both professionally and personally for many years. They are the ONLY Electricians I can recommend without exception. They know their stuff and always come prepared (including bringing booties & white gloves) They are not the least expensive but they always give you an itemized Invoice so you know what you are paying for.
