Huge shout out to David Artman.I don’t normally leave reviews but after seeing how High Priority Plumbing handled my needs compared to Mr. Rooter it’s necessary. I was continuing to have sewage backups into my house and after having High Priority charge me so much to do something that did not work and then wanting to charge me more money to just do the SAME thing with no other recommendations I knew it was time for a second opinion. Mr. Rooter is just a better/bigger company and managed my appointments and plumbing issues MUCH better. David Artman was amazing and I hope if anything comes up in the future I can have him back out, he was beyond helpful with solving the issue and walked me through exactly what was going on (he also brought up different issues and said things that were total opposite from what I had been told). I’ll definitely refer to Mr. Rooter in the future.

We had an unexpected water leak on Friday evening. Called Mr.Rooter on Saturday afternoon, who sent David en route within 30 minutes. Very professional and personable, and he took very good care of us! He came back the following morning to ensure all was well. Highly recommend if you’re looking for good service and quality work.

Could not have asked for more courteous, responsive and professional work than what I received from Gavin and Jason. Gavin came out late and patched us up and had jason come out the next day to repair the water main from the street to our house. They take customer service seriously and have certainly made me a customer for life.
Great job explaining what was wrong, how it would be repaired, making the fix, and cleaning up after.
We absolutely love Rodrick! Our water heater ruptured on a Friday night of all nights and we called Mr. Rooter Plumbing. He came out the very next day and fixed everything! Great workers!
I had a leaky copper pipe they fixed for my new fridge and added a cut off valve behind the fridge. Came to the home in less than 24 hours and came in less expensive than quoted.
Ricky and his teammate JJ were both great. Extremely communicative and thorough in trying to diagnose and isolate the problem then successful at fixing the clog in our drainage lines. With two little ones and the holidays on the horizon this (clogged toilet and shower drains) was not a scenario we could afford to deal with. Mr. Rooter came to the rescue and had Ricky out the next business day. Wonderful experience all around.

Good service and a timely fix
A person by name David Artman had come as one of the bathroom was not getting hot water. We checked everywhere we had hot water in all bathroom but one bathroom. Then he mentioned that there should be one more water-heater in the house. But while we talk he would ask in appropriate questions like1. Do u take bath2. You are lyingVery inappropriate to the situation then we find the water heater and turn on the power plug. When asked for giving the discount on the visit fee and just charge the diagnosis fee he would ask1. What is your education.2. All my family are doctors3. I own a rental property in the area.4. I don’t believe u have 18 years of education5. What kind of work u do.Not sure why would he ask such question. Makes me wonder If its just him or everyone in the company. Other than this i feel he was just tired but I wasn’t prepared to hear these questions for asking a discount.

Their work broke after one day. Changing my review. See additional review. This is a new review Sept. 2021 to replace the hot water tank. We have found that when Jim Mahoney comes, their work is outstanding. He is our preferred technician and his apprentice, Andrew, was also great. We are very pleased and will call them again. Pricing isn't cheap, but it is fair. We don't want cheap, we want the work done properly and responsively. Also, they stand behind their work. The one time we got a different tech a year or so ago, we weren't happy, but when Jim then came out, everything got done properly and the first time. They also did a great job of cleaning up the work area. The installation appears very professionally done.

Steve was great! Like I wouldn’t ever want another technician, if I ever have any plumbing issues I will request him personally. Not only is he a pleasant person in general, he’s knowledgeable and makes it a point to make sure you understand what is going on with your home and repairs. Everything was done professionally and timely, would def recommend.
Late night disaster, main drain clogged rendering all toilets, showers, sinks, ...etc. unable to drain. Called Mr. Rooter dispatch and within 40 min a tech (Jay Akers) was onsite. He made several attempts to clear the blockage with an air auger but concluded it would need a hydro-jet application - which requires a two man crew. Jay and crew returned promptly at 9:00 AM and prior to starting the hydro-jet process scoped the drain with a camera which unfortunately revealed a much worse problem - root intrusion in the main drain - but luckily outside - which Jay quickly located with the help of some high-tech gear.After calling it in Jay had us on the schedule for main drain excavation the following morning, but fortunately Jay was able to make it back out by 4:30 THE SAME DAY and had the problem completely resolved by 5:45 (clean-up and everything).Could not be happier with the service provided by Mr. Rooter, Jay and his team.

I had a primary drain to the street get clogged so we could run no water or toilets in the house. We had family staying over and it was 9pm on Saturday night. Called Mr Rooter and they had a tech there inside of an hour. The tech Jason was very professional and quickly solved the problem keeping me involved every step of the way. The only con is that I was expecting to get the $95 drain clean-out and free camera inspection special. I paid $225 for the clean out and $199 for the camera inspection. I did not contest the estimate as it was late Saturday night and I was already worn out myself trying to fix it for hours removing the toilet amd snaking the drain from two locations.Despite the cost, I would highly recommend Mr. ROOTER and Jason.
Our kitchen sink and bedroom shower were having different hot water issues that John diagnosed and fixed perfectly. He also made our island sink piping the proper height to function how it should. Will definitely use Mr. Rooter in the future.

Need someone new answering the phone. Her attitude is not a winner. I will call someone else. Are YOU the homeowner, as if she is surprised to hear a black man owns a home. After saying I need my toilet fixed for the flushing mechanism that shouldn't be your first question.

I am very satisfied with my Mr. Rooter of Atlanta service. I experienced a clogged main sewer line that unfortunately backed up sewage into my home. Jay Akers and his assistant, Tony, arrived in less than 24 hours, on a Sunday morning. They explained everything they were going to do, did it, and discussed what they found. They had to return in 48 hours to fix it, but before they left, they left my bathroom clean, swept the main hallway, and eased my fears. When Jay returned with his new assistant, Jeremy, they fixed the problem with a large machine, tools and a lot of expertise and hard work. I am a tough person to please, and I have nothing but praise for Jay Akers and his team members. They were professional, polite, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with. Jay really appeared to enjoy his job and had a good sense of humor. He helped me get through a tough situation and made the experience surprisingly positive. Thank you, Jay!

We live in an old home that still had the original cast iron sewer lines under the house and to the street. After repeated backups, Dave and his crew came out, took a look, and were the only ones to give us multiple options for a solution. Once we decided, they came out and got to work. As with all things in an old home, there were unexpected bumps in the road, but Dave persevered and got the job done. We’re really happy with the work!
It was a pleasure working with Mr Rotor. They were responsive and very professional. My plumber was Ricky Relf. Ricky was professional, timely, and did an incredible job of not only communicating the issue, but also documenting the repair. I will definitely be requesting Ricky for any future plumbing needs.

I called Mr. Rooter late on a Thursday evening requesting someone to come out and determine if my toilet needed to be replaced or repaired. They were able to send someone out first thing the following morning. Jeremy Hathaway arrived and walked me through the problem while providing me with options. We ended up deciding to replace the toilet entirely due to its age. Mr. Hathaway suggested I run to Home Depot and purchase a new toilet while he takes out the old one. He was done within 30 minutes and was ready to begin the installation when I returned. By the time another 30 minutes passed, my brand new toilet was already installed and 100% functional. I would absolutely use this business again and I want to thank Jeremy for his excellent service!

Called Mr. Rooter because the service was recommended in the Cherokee County Verified Home Services Guide. It was a Friday evening, July 1st.and there was water spewing down my driveway. They personally answered my call at about 7 PM and scheduled a repair/evaluation visit for Saturday, the following day. Due to unforeseen circumstances, they were unable to come on Saturday but were there at 8:00 AM on Sunday, the following day. The technician, Mr. Jay Akers quickly diagnosed the problem, provided an estimate for the repair and scheduled the repair for Wednesday, the first day available due to the holiday. Mr. Akers was not only professional but reassuring. The repair crew showed up at 8 AM on Wednesday, July 6, just as promised. They brought the necessary equipment and personnel to complete the job. They were finished within two hours of their start time. All members of the team are courteous, professional, and proficient in their jobs. I would highly recommend Mr. Rooter in the event of a plumbing issue with any other homeowner.
John Fleury did an excellent job installing a 50 gallon gas water heater. There was a delay with getting the one with the 10 year warranty but that was a problem with the supplier and not Mr Rooter. I find them under their Just Water Heaters listing. Pointed out some things the prior plumber didn't do to code.
Scheduled 8am to Noon, and I got texted at 7:30 that he was ready to head my way. He fixed the immediate issue and tightened a few other pieces to help me avoid future problems. I have an older home, so things crop up, and it’s nice to have someone looking out for you.

When I called in a panic because my water heater was gushing, David in the office helped me deal with the immediate crisis, and then Jason went out of his way, after a very long day, to stop and make sure we could control it overnight. He came the next day, late in the day because his previous stop had taken longer than he expected, but he stayed far later than we would ever ask to make sure we had hot water.I will definitely be calling Mr. Rooter whenever I need help with plumbing.——Aug 18, 2021We’ve had another plumbing disaster and called Mr. Rooter a second time. Our technician, John, was terrific. He managed a difficult situation— because of the age of the house and the hardware—and stayed with the issue until he resolved it. He was polite and personable, and we’ve made an appointment for him to return and do some more work for us. Mr. Rooter is now our go-to whenever we need a plumber.

Alex was extremely professional and great help with our plumbing issues. We had an unknown water leak and he confirmed that nothing is leaking any longer. He gave a very thorough inspection of all possible sources and then unclogged our shower in 20 min which has previously taken me upward of an hour with no success. Highly recommend him!

Actually called them because of seeing them on Undercover Boss and how their company operates and what is expected of their employees. They accommodated me same day for a difficult problem and got it fixed. I had originally tried to go through my American Home Shield who are worthless. Despite having sewage coming up in my shower, AHS asked if I had any other bathrooms I could use and they might be able to come out on Monday. You get what you pay for. I was very pleased with Mr. Rooter and will definitely use them again.

Jay, Teeter, Luke, and Jason found and unblocked a sewer pipe on property built in 1962. They have all the specialized tools (locator, power jetter, camera,.. ) and know how to use them. Zero time wasted these men are busting it the entire time. Hand dug a 10 ft section of cast iron with y's and bends and replaced it with PVC. This is a professional work crew - highly recommend.

Overall Mr Rooter did an excellent job! John Dubose is truly an OG plumber. He was able to diagnose my plumbing issue when we came to house. I previously used another plumbing company exclusively and found their plumbers to be too young, inexperienced and sometimes unprofessional. Mrs. Dubose did a major plumbing job and fixed my drainage to my sewer that caused a back clog. John Dubose fixed my kitchen plumbing, and flow issues with sitting water in the pipes. He also installed clean outs inside and outside in my home. Overall great job, and I would recommend anyone to hire Mr Rooter for your plumbing issues.

The service tech Ricky Relf charged me $640 to repair toilet. My son didn’t agree with price, therefore, I called his manager to verify charges. To my surprise, Ricky lied about the job he performed and overcharged me $420. This is unacceptable and dishonest. I most certainly hope Ricky won’t be able to do this to another consumer. Also, this has taught me a lesson to always get a second opinion before I agree to pay.

Jim came out earlier today and did a great job! Very nice and understanding guy. He was here for quite a while as I had about 3 plumbing problems. He didn't rush things, he took his time. This is my second time using Mr.Rooter. Very professional company.
Had a water pressure problem that I was not sure what the cause was. Mr. Rooter dispatched us a great technician the same day that carefully explained our problem and what our options were. Gave us assurance that if the first solution didn't work, we wouldn't be charged for it. Understood my family's situation of me needing to communicate mainly over the phone, got the work done (turns out was the pressure regulator). Can't say enough good things about our experience and will be using Mr. Rooter again in the future.

My wife called Mr. Rooter as our tenant had a toilet challenge with water leaking out. I was nearby and immediately shut off the main water valve to stop the water from spewing out. Mr. Mahoney arrived within the allotted time the nice young lady who answered the call said he would. She even called me to update me of his ETA. Once Mr. Mahoney arrived he was very courteous and professional. He repaired the toilet quite quickly and efficiently. He even checked the water pressure. Pretty reasonable for an emergency call. I had heard great feedback about Mr. Rooter, so reached out when i experienced a water leak between my meter and entry line. Brian and Mark where amazing; helping me a first time home buyer deal with an outdoor water leak under concrete. They provide a more sophisticated solution of drilling underground , made sure other utilities were informed .They were a one stop solution for everything. Truly professional and ensured everything in the house was covered up and barricaded to prevent any dust and debrie scatter.They turned around this huge project in 6hrs without taking shortcuts or compromising quality.
Alex arrived quickly and after several questions discovered that the water heater needed replacing. He went back to the shop and got a new one and installed it. Start to finish was about 4.5 hrs (including his travel time to get the parts). This was a huge relief since had had unavoidable plans later in the day. Thanks Alex! I would definitely use again.

I really don’t know where to start! Having your entire house’s sewer backed is never a good thing. When Dave from rooter showed up I knew soon everything would be ok. It was the opposite of what I would have expected being in such a vulnerable position , especially when calling such a top brand company! Dave as a person and as extension of Rooter’s company culture handled everything with care, transparency, and skill. He walked me through all the technicalities of the situation, providing options and pros and cons of each potential path forward. Building report and trust with some one when your pants are down and feeling exposed is one of the best human experiences you can have. Not enough stars to describe, but trust if your lucky enough to get David Artman you are in the best hand :)

Installing a water heater is not for the faint of heart. Randy worked in my garage from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM. He worked efficiently and effectively and installed a 55 gal water heater. Old water heater on the left and new one recently installed.

Steve Gers truly made me feel like I was genuinely being helped. I had no idea why water was standing on my lawn. He explained it all to me. Brian was punctual and professional. He did the job thoroughly and made sure the drain was completely cleared. The price ($520) was high for a drain clearing and they tried to sell us an unnecessary 1 year service membership for $99. Excellent service nonetheless.
Unfortunately I hired a contractor who redid the bathroom and I have spent the last eight months fixing those issues. Luke was able to assess the situation and find the most reasonable and cost effective solution. He spoke with me about what was causing the issue which was amazing because it helps me understand how to take care of my house moving forward or at least what to look out for.

As first time homeowners we expected the worst and got the best. Jay showed up early, explained everything and quoted us a price. I know nothing and would have paid anything to have it fixed. 35 minutes later we not only had water back, but Jay explained when the crew dug up the pipes/valve it was an easier job than expected and would cost considerably less than we originally agreed to. Read that last sentence again. Can not recommend Jay and his team highly enough and as a result this is now my first ever review on Google.

I made the appointment to have my hot water heater replaced. When making the appointment, I gave specifics regarding the current hot water heater in order to be prepared to replace same day. My technician showed up and told me that the hot water heater would not be able to be replaced same day. He then gave me pricing, We agreed to that pricing and I scheduled the replacement for a week out, then he made a phone call, and then the price went up $400. I’ve wasted my entire day waiting on a service, only to be told it couldn’t be done that day. Pricing changed $400 in a matter of five minutes. I called the main office only to be told that a manager was not in. My technician told me that he was speaking to a manager. Very shady and very unprofessional. I can only hope the next person gets better service than I did.

My service technician Jason was very professional and knowledge. Jason went over everything and we both looked at my outside meter together. I would refer Jason to family and friends if needed service from Mr. Rooter.
Ricky saved us! We thought our hot water heaters needed repair but he instantly referenced our water meter and determined we had a large leak. By eliminating the possible locations of the leak, Ricky diagnosed it as a large hot water pipe break in the slab. He referred us to a water leak detection company that confirmed his findings. Unfortunately our flooring is raised too high above the slab for the specialist to isolate the exact location of the pipe break. Ricky proceeded to advise us that the repair could result in the majority of the flooring needing replaced. He suggested that a reroute of the water pipe would be best and the result would be a permanent fix. Ricky identified the hot water pipe going into the slab and bypassed it. We instantly had hot water back to all the bathrooms and it allowed him to determine only the kitchen and laundry room required a reroute. Throughout this process he even identified and repaired a gas leak at the furnace & installed a bigger thermal expansion tank on the water heaters. He also optimized the piping on the water heaters by installing additional ball valves so they could be isolated from each other in case one needed repair the other would still supply hot water. Ricky did a great job diagnosing and explaining a very complex situation. He was very thorough and took the time to properly evaluate all aspects of the problem and consistently communicated the cost to repair.

Our drain line was severely clogged, preventing us from using plumbing in about half of our house for nearly a week. Jay and his crew of Brody and Jason arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, and got to work. The issue turned out to be much more complicated than I had hoped and required penetrating part of a concrete pad and digging down to find the line. The drainage line to the septic tank had developed a crack and allowed roots to invade the line. The roots had prevented some paper products to pass and a clog had developed resulting in a backup into the house. The cracked pipe was cut out and replaced with a cleanout so that if a blockage develops in the future, it will be easy to wash away. The crew filled in the hole, removed the destroyed material from the pad, cleaned up their tools, and left the premises.

After a plumbing stoppage at the main bathroom (Sep 2021), I called Mr. Rooter based on customer reviews. After their first attempt to repair an error in their workmanship, it rained for two days and flooded my basement. The rain entered the house from a gaping hole they left around the sewer line exiting the house. The rain soaked my carpet. They attempted to vacuum the water out of the padded carpet. After their second attempt to repair an error in their workmanship, it rained for 3 days and the basement flooded again. It turns out they did not pack the inside of the hole with cement to prevent the water from entering the house. At the third attempt, they sent a different plumber to assess the problem and get it right. My carpet was ruined, and the exact replacement will cost me $16,000. Mr. Rooter maintains no responsibility since I have no proof of pictures.In addition to their poor workmanship, Mr. Rooter left my beautiful front yard in a shambles. The areas they worked in were left with plumbing hardware and piping buried in the red clay. A sinking hole was left 4 inches deep on the curb line. They claim this is the responsibility of the city of College Park. My yard is the new embarrassment and weed farm of my diverse community.If you are reading this review, do more research on your choice of plumbing companies more than I did.

We had a sewer line that needed replacement, and the previous company we called, quoted us an outrageous price and then left us without a resolution. We felt stranded! Jay was so kind and reassuring. The two men that came to my home conducted themselves very professionally. It was raining outside, but they made sure not to track mud into the house. When I explained that a prior plumber had failed they brought the right equipment to the job and successfully cleaned a clog deep in kitchen drain line. They then gave me advice on avoiding the problem in the future. I highly recommend them.

Of course I had heard of Mr. Rooter for a number of years from time to time but this was our first time using them. I got the referral from the consumer advocate Dale Russell where they were highly recommended. Everyone was very congenial and the process was very straightforward for us. The plumbing team texted when they were on their way and they showed up shortly afterward. They told me they price of the repair, I approved the repair and they fixed the problem and left in around 30 mins. Very good experience for us! Our technician was Keevon.
I needed to replace my water heater quickly. Matt came out at the time he said he would arrive, gave me a quote within 5 minutes and after I agreed, came back the very next morning, on time, to complete the install. The team was professional, kind, and very clean and thorough. I would highly recommend Matt and Kevann!

My bathroom toilet was leaking around the base and the toilet was moving when you sat down. Shanti Hewlett did an assessment and gave me a price for the repair to the seal. Fixed a leaky toilet and informed us that our water pressure valve had failed. So he installed a new one in a more accessible location. He had to turn off the water to do so, and flushed the air out of the pipes when he was done! No other plumber has ever done that for us.

This is my 2nd review for Mr. Rooter. I called and was able to get someone to come out within an hour or so because of the plan I joined for priority booking. Growing water spots were starting to show in our kitchen on the ceiling. Jason was super friendly and very professional. He assessed the spots and found that the leak was coming from the hallway bathroom's toilet. He quickly repaired it. Then showed me where an install of a water heater was not done properly. He was able to make that repair and within about an hour and a half he was done.I called for emergency service ( water flowing from our ceiling light). I was in a panic. The first company said we can have someone out in the morning. Nope! My next call was to Mr. Rooter and within 2 1/2 hours George was at my door. He was very friendly and reassured me that he could help. Turns out the condensate pipe attached to the furnace was clogged and overflowing. I also joined the program to help with the cost of future issues for plumbing and electrical. George was a great help in my time of need. I tell you, to see water flowing from the ceiling light, you don't know what to do first. But I'm glad I called Mr. Rooster.
Jay and crew did the right thing, opened the septic tank, and discovered the true root cause of the problem. Other guy wanted to snake pipe, and that never would have found the problem or fixed it. Chalk up this find to Jay.
David Altman did a phenomenal job for our basement plumbing issues. He clearly communicated what he was going to do, why, and then showed us his work when he was done to ensure we were happy. I couldn't have been more pleased.

But once our sewer stopped up he led us through what we needed to do to get a tree removed, get the city to mark our utilities and he did it all in 24 hours and our sewer was back up and running. John Fleury was fantastic to work with. He's the Columbo of finding leaks behind a wall. In minutes he was able to pinpoint where a leak was in my wall and isolated to an upstairs bathtub shower valve. And a couple of hours he had it all fixed up. The water bill for 1 month was $1100. This was a single family home with 4 persons. I needed them to check for any leaks. There wasn’t any. The Plummer charge me $49. I paid in cash but when Mr Rooter sent me the bill thru email it said 0. I requested another bill with the fee. I keep all bills for income taxes.

This is the second time I have used Mr Rooter Plumbing. I had a problem with a clogged drain and Mr Rooter was able to schedule me the next day. Jeremy H came out and after clearing the clog, he did a very thorough job of de-scaling the iron drain pipe so that it would reduce the likelihood of another clog in the future. I highly recommend Jeremy and Mr Rooter for your plumbing needs.

I contacted Mr. Rooter back in January to have a leaky faucet repaired. They sent a technician Ricky who was not only very professional and knowledgeable but also respectful and kind. He educated me about what part I needed to get from the faucet manufacturer so he could repair correctly. Once the part arrived I scheduled a follow up appointment and requested Ricky due to my positive interactions with him on the initial appointment. They were actually able to determine the cause of my clogged pipes as a sewer cover that was lodged down in the pipe, unlike the Home Warranty diagnosis I received. MrRooterAtlanta has been to our home 4 times to service our sump pump in the basement. After the 1st technician came (David), the basement flooded. He sealed the lid of the sump pump and did NOT level the pipes coming out of it. Now there is water damage. 2 weeks later, and 3 more technicians later, the pipe coming from the sump pump has a leak that squirts into the air. This company has delivered very poor & unresponsive service. We have more damage after @MrRooterAtlanta came to our home than when we 1st called them. We've been waiting for 3 days for a manager to call us back.

Mr. Rooter of Atlanta once again provided great, professional service. I called them to check for a possible gas leak and Jason Johnson came out and dud a thorough check. He fixed one pipe and connector. In the process of checking all the possible sources of the leak, he noticed a water leak from the hot water heater. I decided to have the water heater replaced because I had wanted to get a tankless heater anyway. He came back with a couple of other guys to get the job done. In the process, they discovered even more problems with the heater, so it was good to swap it out. They were all professional and thorough. I am really happy with the end result. I greatly appreciate the detailed invoices that you receive after the service is done.

Too expensive compared to internet estimates. No coupons offered, or discounts to take, if I could have taken care of two problems on one visit. Although I did asked the technician if any way to have a better price and see now coupons on internet. I also have a shower washer that will need replacement. If Not another $400 on top of $400 for a simple toilet running issue, I would have had both problems taken care of, yet 850 is excessive for a toilet running and changing a shower washer.

Jay and his team are like physicians. They came out, assessed the problem, diagnosed it, and returned to perform (plumbing surgery) the work. Then, they left little evidence (uprooted grass, mess around the work area) that anything was done. Jay explained everything to me and showed me the finished work. I called Mr. Rooter dispatch Sunday morning (9/11) in regards to water coming from the ground outside of the home and Jay Akers was out to my home to assess the situation in just a couple of hours. Just so happens that our weekend started with a toilet backup on the 1st level that caused a leak in the basement ceiling. I called several plumbers before contacting Mr. Rooter. They used a camera to inspect for problems in the drain lines. It also showed the length and slope, and could be located in yard. They were careful to keep things clean as they went. They were very knowledgeable and were happy for me to tag along and share with me what the camera was telling them.

Excellent experience with Mr. Rooter and especially Ricky today! There was a leak hidden between floors at my loft office. Mr. Rooter had perfect communication throughout the entire process, letting me know when Ricky would arrive and a photo so I knew exactly who to expect. He arrived on-time and immediately got to work explaining every step along the way. He listened and assessed the issue making sure to cause as little damage as possible while searching for the leak. Once found, he gave a fair and accurate estimate of the work that needed to be done and completed everything the same day. His reporting was top notch and will certainly assist when filing for an insurance claim. I will use them every time.

I contacted Mr. Rooter to look at my garbage disposal that had stopped working. I was told over the phone they would initially charge a $39.99 dispatch fee plus the cost of any additional repairs. It turns out all the technician needed to do was push the reset button on the disposal (something I could have done myself). No repair was actually needed and I was charged a $169 diagnostic fee on top of the $39.99 dispatch. Complete rip off. I cannot believe they still charged since absolutely no repair work was needed and the visit lasted less than 10 minutes. Kenny Neville was the technician and I don't even see him listed on the website!
Woke up to no hot water, called Mr. Rooter to schedule an appointment for a consultation. The lady who greeted me was very professional and courteous. She got my appointment scheduled for later that day. Right on time, Gavin showed up to my home and within a short time gave me a repair estimate and time frame. Of course, my water heater was in need of replacement, but it was a good 18 year run, so no complaints. The next morning Gavin showed up on time and replaced my unit in what seemed like lightning speed. I was very pleased with Mr. Rooter from initial call to installation, I definitely recommend them for all of your plumbing needs.

The fee was feasible but Justin was also on time, informative, and gave clear concise instruction on next steps towards getting my washer and dryer hooked up. Ricky Relf has been our technician the past three times we’ve called and he is incredible. His customer service and professionalism are astounding. He has gone out of his way, even on his days off to come when we urgently needed someone. He’s just one of those rare people who are really there to help and not rip you off. He definitely goes above and beyond for his customers. I had a valve that was broken on my washer hook up replaced. Andrew was very nice. I just think $315 is a lot just to replace one little valve. I also didn’t like that he went straight to trying to sell me on replacing the whole box and both valves instead of talking about the one valve with me first.

Steve was promt, listened to my issue with commode, surveyed the problem with flapper and associated components, and installed new flapper and components. He showed me finished work before asking for payment.Additionally he surveyed 2nd commode in my condo and made minor adjustment so that it filled to proper level after flashing. And at my request he reattached the pull rod on my bathroom sink.Steve and his assistant Ron left me happy with Mr. Rooter Plumbing.
He also installed an expansion tank for the water heater. Plus he explained the process give tips on how to better maintain our appliances so that they run smoother.
The job turned out to be a much easier (and cheaper) fix than originally thought. Jay was able to assess the problem quickly and realized it was a less complicated and problem than we had originally thought. They fixed the problem quickly, efficiently and for much less money than we had expected to pay. They were also very polite and easy to work with. Same goes for the office staff - very polite, friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

We discovered a big problem with our outdoor drainage system - catch basins, downspouts, drain lines, etc. We are in the middle of a major backyard renovation and the project had to stop because of this drainage problem. Jay and Mr. Rooter determined the solution and got it fixed in a total of two days. Thanks Jay for your great work and helping us get our construction project back under way!

I had a RS Andrews plumber out to my home to diagnose and repair slowly draining sinks. I was told the problem was the stoppers. A week later I had backups in my shower with sewage in my two bathtubs. I called RS Andrews again and was told that there was something blocking the outflow line and I needed to have it jetted out but they only had one truck that could fix the problem and it would be about a week to do it. They referred me to a company of one of their ex employees but he never called me. I called Mr. Rooter based on a Trust Dale recommendation. Jay Akers came out and inspected the whole outflow in the ceiling of the basement and found a backflow valve that was broken. He replaced it and the problem was fixed in 2 hours. He listened, he looked, he found the problem and fixed - same day!!
Work was done in good time. Great clean up. Very professional.

Just got off the phone with them. Their website says: Plumbing provides emergency plumbing repair and installation services in The Metro Atlanta, GA and all surrounding areas I have a plumbing emergency right now and the water is spewing out. It's 5pm. They told me they could look at it tomorrow during the day. This company does not provide emergency plumbing repair.In response to owner's response: Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, this type of emergency could not be solved or temporized by shutting off the water as the issue was with the water valve itself. It went running on and on until another plumbing company was able to come by on the same day. I don't recall her trying to get anyone to my place on the day of the emergency. I was told that it would be the next day. If an option was presented of a call that evening I would have taken it. Perhaps you were listening to a different call. In any case, emergencies can never be timed, but it was an unexpected answer to be told someone would be out the next day. I'm changing my review from a 1 to a 3 star, as it wasn't a terrible experience. Just really frustrating. Perhaps it's a staffing issue; I don't know. Good day, sir.

The plumber, Eric, was timely and professional. He worked fast and cleaned his mess. Only downside to this company is that they have increased their dispatch fee and still charge you the fee on top of the work being done. It use to be that it was waived if work was done. Now I’ve paid extra money and tax on them coming out to do work. I understand I’m not a plumber but $240 for a fill valve replacement seems extreme. The toilet is fixed so I will just have to take it as a expensive lesson learned.

Diagnostic was OK, but the repair quote priced insane. How the hell $20 part charge as $400 bucks with labor, just clearly ripping all the customer's, stay away hefty repairs with these guys, always shop outside to get the comparative quotes.
David was awesome to work with. He’s very knowledgeable and has great sense of humor. David expressed real concern for our situation and took the time to explain what he was doing. Definitely will not hesitate to call him again if the need arises.

I was need of an outdoor plumber to repair a broken sewer line between my house and the city line. Needless to say I was in need of a fix pretty quick. Mr. Rooter was the third plumber to come out and provide me an estimate. Jeremy was the plumber onsite. He was very professional. He provided me with a very fare estimate of the work that needed to happen to fix the sewer line. The estimate was the best of the three, so I went with Mr. Rooter. Jeremy was onsite first thing the next morning and had the line fixed in a couple of hours. I would recommend Mr. Rooter for future business.

I am very satisfied with Jason Johnson and the experience with Mr. Rooter in general!I called in the evening and was placed on the emergency wait line for the next day.Jason came shortly before noon and I immediately had a good feeling about him.I showed him the pipe that leaked in the front yard and he patiently listened to me and took an overview.What I really liked was that he showed his knowledge about the whole situation.He didn't just address the leaking pipe but also pointed out the whole system in general and where else could be a problem that is connected or will give me a headache in the future because of the age of the house.He gave me a clear overview, discussed the different solutions and options and how to attack the problem(s).Jason is a really friendly and nice person, showed a deep knowledge and enjoyment in his profession and this poor guy worked in cold, rainy and muddy conditions.When I was out there he showed me the different components and answered my questions and I enjoyed listening to him and learning a few things.He did really great work and I loved the end result.I recommend Jason and Mr. Rooter and definitely will keep their number ready.I like that they use iPads and show the overview of the work and also their invoice with photos and a description of what has been done.5 stars well earned!
I called yesterday and made an appointment with Dave to fix a leak of my outside waterline. I let him know I would not be available the next day until 9:30 AM. Mr. Rooter left me a message that next morning stating someone was ready to come at 8:00 AM. I did not get the message until I got home at 9:30. I called Ingrid at Mr. Rooter and let her know I was home. She stated that they cancelled the call because I was not home. I let her know that Dave and me confirmed the day before that it would not happen until 9:30 or later. Ingrid confirmed that was in the notes. Ingrid said she would get back to me in a few minutes to see what they could work out. Never heard back from her. I called back about an hour later and spoke with Jersey. She spoke with her dispatcher who said the appointment had been cancelled and I would have to reschedule. I told Jersey that it was not her fault but just to forget it and I would contact a more organized company.I was in the process of contacting Neighborly when Jersey called back and said Jay was on his way.Jay was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He explained everything he was doing to fix the problem. I would highly recommend Jay.But I do take issue with the charge of $896. For a couple of dollars worth of parts and an hours worth of work I feel the charge was extremely exorbitant.

I called plumber to replace outside Vacuum breaker valve on outside spigot (garden hose valve).This is simply a valve that is screwed in to outside spigot. The existing valve is cracked so when water is turned on, it leaks into the bed and next to house foundation. I do not like like wasting water.I previously spoke to a licensed plumber working at Home Depot and he said all you need is to unscrew old one and put new in on.He sold me the copper Vacuum Breaker Valve for $8.95 .He also said the existing valve may need to be cut off the spigot since it has been on for 25 years- just use a hacksaw. He said this is all you need.We decided to hire a professional plumber to do this. The plumber came out and quoted $ 695.00 and this included replacing or cutting copper pipes inside that go to outside spigot. He said this would make outside connection a little tighter.I asked if there was anything wrong with existing pipes and he said “no. “We should have been given option to replace the outside valve and not redo plumbing that is to code and nothing wrong. He did not want to just replace the valve. He was going to use the valve I purchased from HD which also surprised me.I was assuming he would say he needs to use their equipment to provide warranty.Anyways, disappointing . $695.00 -. We will find someone else.

I rarely write reviews and normally only if I feel the service was exceptional. Mr. Rooter of Atlanta has a great set of staff from scheduling all the way through service. Both technicians that arrived at my house were thorough, honest and what is needed more in the world. They should be proud of what they bring to homeowners given their specialized skillset. This is the second time I've used Mr. Rooter and I couldn't be more pleased. My regular guy was sick and couldn't come out so Gavin came out and he was phenomenal. He installed a toilet a faucet and a brand new dishwasher for me and just a matter of a couple hours. Their work is exceptional and I couldn't believe how quickly everything was done. The pricing was excellent and I would recommend anyone call Mr Rooter for any plumbing needs!

Excellent and fast service! I discovered an outdoor water leak on Thanksgiving. Steven was at my door within 20 minutes of my call and had the problem diagnosed 10 minutes later. The issue was within a few inches of our shrubs and he took great care to ensure he didn’t damage them while doing the repair. He’s a really friendly guy with a great personality and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend to anyone.

He even opened up the plug in my brand new garbage disposal so that the dishwasher wold work correctly.My only issue (4 stars instead of 5) was having an appointment set up for 11-2 and not getting service until almost 6:00pm.

He was clear, immediately assessed the problem, walked me through all the steps to remedy the issue (a broken water line that had leaked into my basement), gave me a fair quote on the spot, and provided me with his personal number to facilitate the ongoing conversation. He and his team showed up early, communicated well while the repairs were ongoing, held everyone onsite to high standards, cleaned up well after the repairs...honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better service provider in this situation given how disruptive the situation was for our family. I would recommend Jay and Mr. Rooter to anyone in need of plumbing repairs, particularly complicated emergencies, and am incredibly grateful for his reassurance throughout this process. Not to mention, they were the only provider able to bore in a new line and not have to destroy my yard in the process.

No one wants to go outside and see puddles of waste sitting in their driveway. I called at 8pm on Tuesday night and at 9am Wednesday morning Jay and Luke showed up. Jay had me watch on the monitor as the camera wound it’s way through our pipes out there. As he diagnosed the problem I was able to see what he was seeing. Once we knew what we were dealing with he gave me a short term fix option and a more permanent one. After I chose which way to go he gave me a detailed quote and an estimate for how long it would take. Had a sump pump fail and flood the basement. They were out within an hour (on a very rainy day when I'm sure they had a lot of calls). They didn't upcharge. They got me in contact with a water damage control shop. Professional and prompt. A good call.
Called 2 other companies that were 24/7 ....that still have not called me back after 10 hours. Called Mr. Rooter and within 30 minutes I was called and within an hour a service tech was at my doorstep. Within an hour my sewer line was unclogged, water turned back on and my house is back up and running. Great service. Would not even think about using anyone else. Just saying.

I appreciate the professionalism by the office team in scheduling and communication regarding the appointment and who will be our technician. What started out as a reluctant toilet turned into a two day problem which required professionals with some creativity. Thank God we called Mr. Rooter. Brian and Jon arrived on time, were very polite and extremely professional. They diagnosed the problem, which turned out to be a full septic tank. They called someone to pump the tank and in the process the backhoe operator ruptured the main water line. Brian and Jon came to the rescue. They rigged a system so we could have water that evening although the permanent solution could not be addressed until the following day.On day two they called in a machine operator who bored a new line underground. They updated the interior shutoff valve, installed new pipes and rerouted the water line so that it did not interfere with the septic tank. They worked until 800 PM on day one and until late afternoon in the rain on day two.I cannot say enough good things about Brian and Jon. They were also supported by their manager, Jim, who was also a real professional. I HIGHLY recommend Mr. Rooter of Atlanta but hope I have solved all our plumbing issues for now. If not, I know who to call. Thanks, guys. GREAT JOB !!

The technician was great. His machine was broken so he had to travel 45 minutes out of his way to pick up another one & then an hour to get to my location. I called another well known company yesterday & they never showed up in the time frame they gave, called at 11pm to say they were rescheduling for this morning then called at 5pm to say they would need to reschedule for tomorrow morning. I called Mr. Rooter late in the morning, they gave me an afternoon time frame & called when they were going to be late but ended up still coming in the timeframe they originally gave. Ricky came out to evaluate my hot water heater after I began having pilot light issues. He instantly noticed that the 11 year old water heater was not properly installed. This was something I was unaware of as the previous homeowner had the work done and the inpsector failed to report it was not up to code. After careful consideration, I decided to have it replaced. He was able to pick up a new Rheem water heater the same day and brought my connections up to code. Very impressed by the workmanship and education Ricky provided. Thank you!

I called Mr. Rooter looking for leak detection assistance after our water company notified us of a potential leak and we weren't able identify where it was happening. I explained what we needed, in detail, when booking the appointment and was assured that the technician would be able to perform leak detection to help us find where water was leaking. When the technician arrived the next day, he told us he would do exactly what we had already done (ie: turning off water to house to rule out a leak in the house) and that was all he was able to help with. He didn't have a leak detector to find a leak in the ground and was literally on site 5 min and provided zero assistance. He told us to call another company and then we still had to pay the $50 consultation fee. Now we are behind another day to find where water is leaking and wait on another company to come and help. This was an extremely frustrating experience - they should have been up front when booking the appointment that they weren't able to meet our needs.

Our house was built in the 1950's and still has some cast iron pipes, our laundry room had some water backing up the pipe and it seemed clogged. We called Mr. Rooter, Jason Johnson serviced us, he was polite and explained that the cast iron pipe was the issue and that he rather replace it than just unclogged. So we decided changed that pipeline. He was corteous and polite, answered all our questions and help us with a fair price for the short notice and amount of work. John DuBose is my hero! He has performed MANY plumbing tasks in my condo for the last 11 years. His workmanship is top notch, he’s pleasant, professional and gives total satisfaction in the finished results. Mr. Plumber is an excellent company to deal with and I highly recommend their services.

Jay A. and Andrew F. came out and did a great job! I unfortunately had to call in the middle of the night, and they came first thing the next morning. They diagnosed the problem and got it resolved. There was also a hidden blockage they were able to find and resolve as well that we didn't even though about! That saved us a bunch of money. They were easy to work with and very friendly. I would highly recommend!

Mr. Rooter Plumbing Atlanta did a great job fixing my water leak last fall. The leak was fixed and they did a very though job checking our building. Unfortunately, they installed the wrong part for that repair. When I called to alert them of the issue, they immediately ordered the correct part and had me on the schedule as soon as it came in. Jeremy Hathaway double-checked the building for any leaks and brought an expert plumber Allen Edgar to oversee the install. These guys are great! They apologized for the earlier mistake, done by a former employee, and jumped in to make it right without blinking an eye. Very professional and neighborly. They will be my first call for my plumbing needs. Thank you!

Chase checked for leaks in the bathroom. He found what was causing the leak and gave us a reasonable rate. He provided excellent customer service and was very professional.
This was the second plumber that I called out to help clean out a sewer line as part of an home selling inspection. Jason was not only professional and very knowledgeable but he worked with me every step of the way to navigate different decision points and solutions. By far a superior experience compared to the other large name plumber I had called out 2 days prior. I'm so glad I got a second opinion. I really appreciated that as a Neighborly company, they sent me a bio and picture of my technician before he arrived. They gave me a 2 hour window versus a 4 hour and called me an hour ahead. Excellent customer service. I also appreciated that pricing was transparent and through the system and not having to trust a random number written on an open ended written invoice. It's also warranty backed! I would highly recommend Mr Rooter and Jason.
We had a clogged drain due to putting food down the garbage disposal. Lee came out and helped us and was awesome! He was knowledgeable, personable and did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend them.

Moved the gas line to accommodate a new stove. Fast and efficient
Justin Medlin found that I had a Pressure regulator that was showing over 100 and causing multiple problems throughout house: leaky faucets, etc. i had been serviced by a well known plumbing/heating contractor over the years and no one had bothered to even check this for me. The original one (30 yrs old) was replaced today. I am pleased with the work that Justin and Luke did today. I will be depending on them in the future for my plumbing and/or electrical needs.

Jay, Luke and Justin, the three Amigos. They were very friendly, on time and professional. They worked together like a well oiled machine, a GREAT team. They answered all of my questions and explained the job as they went along. They cleaned up after themselves and Luke even took out my trash. I would recommend these three guys to anyone look for hard working knowledgeable young men. Keep up the good work gentlemen...
Couldn’t be happier. Needed a repair in the main line and also a toilet shutoff valve replacement. They were on time, friendly, and professional and the work was completed quickly. They were very clean, you wouldn’t even know they’d been here.

Super nice guy. David told us from the get go he thought our septic tank was full. We asked him to check for a clog anyway, just in case. He did everything he possibly could to check for and clear a clog if it was there. Turns out there wasn’t a clog and we should have listened to him in the first place. He was extremely professional about the whole thing and I really appreciate him going the extra mile. Great service!
