I highly recommend Forthright Plumbing! They just completed a total repipe of our entire house. We had been dreading having to have our house repiped but Forthright made the process as easy as possible. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. Dylan, Jesse, and Brandon handled the repipe and showed up everyday on-time, they were very respectful of our home, and finished the job early. Ricky, the owner, is very responsive and quick to address any concerns. We are very happy with the work they did. I would not hesitate to hire Forthright again for any future plumbing needs!

Forthright Plumbing was on schedule, very professional, cleaned up work space when job was complete, performed great work and offered fair price. Forthright installed a water softener in our home and Josh installed an additional bypass for added measure along with doing everything for setup/ config and filling with salt they provided. EXCELLENT service!! Called Ricky and he and Brandon came that same day. Our kitchen sink was stopped up and he unclogged it within an hour. We have dealt with hard water since moving into our home 6 years ago and decided we should call Forthright. Jason came out to give us an estimate on replacing our Solar Water Heater and to install a whole house water softener. I want to thank Ricki for his quick response to my two bathrooms overflowing clogging issue. He sent out two wonderful gentlemen. Jason and the second gentleman. Please forgive me for forgetting it. Plus in the end I gave him a nickname. With such a major issue going on in the house I was really frustrated when they arrived and in severe pain due to my leg injuries. They was able to put me at ease in a few minutes with there charisma and kindness. They reassured me that they would do their best to fix the issue. Jason explained to me the process after he assessed the issue and then went to work. Once finished he checked to make sure the clog was gone. Once they left I went to check myself and heard a gurgling noise and panicked. Then called him back and he came back and ran the water to recheck and hear the noise. Which was gone as soon as he came back. I had to laugh at myself. I do appreciate their support during these holiday and pandemic days to come out and assist me. Within 24 hours Forthright was onsite and did an excellent job repairing our shower valve and installing an access panel. Will be using them again in the future. Extremely responsive, well coordinated and kept us up to date on arrival time and costs.

I have a bungalow home in Old Seminole Heights in Tampa and the plumbing is original galvanized/cast iron, which has been giving me problems for years. When the kitchen galvanized waste line completely corroded all the way to the cast iron stack, I knew I needed to call a professional in. Ricky showed up on time, and was prepared to handle the job. He completely fixed the issue and charged a very reasonable price. Now the sink drains better than it has in over 20 years.
He will be back to do all the plumbing for a bathroom addition in the near future.

More knowledgeable than previous company who failed to fix our complex issue the day before. Forthright had to creatively problem solve under a 911 septic backup and completed the job right away.

Ricky called quickly and came the next morning on a Saturday. Very honest, courteous and thorough. He unclogged the drain and used a camera to understand the condition of our pipes. He gave us several options. I highly recommend this company and would use them again. There aren't many companies that you can trust but this is one that you can.

My impression of my service is very positive. I accidentally met Ricky at a plumbing supply company. He helped me with a question and I took a chance on him. He arrived on time to my house. He gave me a fair quote for the work I needed. He worked to completion in a timely manner. When done, he left the area he worked in a clean condition. I would gladly use him again. Very professional.

I had a kitchen remodel a year and a half ago but started having plumbing issues within the past half year. I had changed a drop in sink to an undermounted sink and shame on me for not updating the plumbing at that time. :) Forthright Plumbing was judgement free and they completed the job without going over their estimate even though it almost ended up being a whole day ordeal (they said I had a very well built home). They did scratch my new dishwasher when reinstalling it so that's a minor annoyance but the job was completed to expectation.

I had two other quotes from licensed plumbers and one actually wanted to charge several hundred more for the job and almost said they wouldn't be able to do it internally and that I would have to take off my siding externally. Glad I did not go with them!

I recommend Forthright and would use them again in future projects.

We used Forthright Plumbing for our kitchen remodel to run plumbing under the concrete from the main sink to the prep sink, they also had to find and repair all of the errors made by our previous contractor (which were many). They did an excellent job. They were thorough, clean, and very responsive, and their prices were competitive (I would say mid range). Ricky was very friendly, he explained things, worked well with the other contractors, he even wrote up a report with pictures and video for our attorney showing the mistakes made by our previous contractor. He used a special camera that went down the drain pipe under the concrete to see the issues. No other plumber I spoke to had that equipment. Very glad we used them, job well done!

Ricky does an excellent job. I am currently renting a house in Tampa and we had a collapsed pipe underground. Ricky had the pipe replaced and concrete laid in no time. Highly recommend Ricky for all of your plumbing needs. My go to plumber going forward without a doubt.

Ricky Cox 's experience has created a great company: small, agile, personable, and professional! We had a tub-to-shower conversion including adding a rainfall showerhead. Forthright Plumbing moved the drain to the new shower center and replaced some old pipes and ran the line to the ceiling inside the wall and dropped a new line for the showerhead from the ceiling. Ricky recommended the fixtures which now look great.
We also had a partially clogged kitchen drain, which Ricky was able to clear with a snake quickly. His attention to cleanliness, kept the kitchen floor clean. His nose was able to identify the clog as grease before he could see it on the snake!
Ricky also recommended using something BioOne to keep the kitchen drainline clean for years to come instead of paying for snake effort in the near future!

Called day before Christmas Eve with an urgent issue - no one else was helping. Finally reached out to my network and they got mentioned repeatedly. Called them, pleasant and came over with came over within a couple hours-during my lunch no less which was perfect! Doing a great job so far so definitely refreshing to deal with this company. Wife is a realtor so get ready for more business.

I was given a quote and it was to cover the entire shower fixture and tub drain. At the last minute they raised the price.
Later, I discussed the discrepancy in the price
they charged. They credited me $250.00.

Just over a year later, I reached out to them for a repair. The shower pipe is leaking onto the ceiling of my downstairs neighbors ceiling in his master bath. I paid $1,800.00 for the service.
Rick said, “ I will not come out to repair any
thing ….. find a different Plummer.”

In my opinion, this Plummer gave me a bid (last year) that his employee communicated, (covered the new tub drain fixture), then the owner said “it will be an additional $250.00”, bait and switch). If called upon, he may refuse to work with you in the future. He is not good for repeat business… just very stubborn, holds contempt and lacks good business acumen.

I made a review and called them back with in 1-2 days of the work being done. He told me he would credit my account as it was a communication error between he and his staff. He then asked me to deleat the review. I can’t say that I had a perfect experience with Sewer Studs under the previous name “Forthright”Plumbing. Perhaps this is why they changed their name.

This is the second time I used these guys. I had roots all inside my pipes. Instead of trying to get me to rip up my floors and replace my pipes and cost me a lot of money, they gave alternatives. Update: Our whole home filter and softening system was installed today by Jason and Jesse. They did a great job. It was a little bit of a more complicated install since they were removing our old system and re-using the UV Sanitizer and the pre-filter from the old unit with the new system. Jason did a great job making it look neat and tidy. He also installed a utility sink in out garage. He even took the time to replace the drywall that had to be removed and tape it in preparation for the drywall repair guy so we didn’t have a huge gap in our wall. I am always impressed with Jason’s work and would recommend him to anyone. Thank you, Jason and Jesse!

HONEST company, hard working and knowledgeable plumbers

Ricky spent a great deal of time diagnosing our problem and video taping the entire sewer system. When we had a subsequent and probably unrelated stoppage in our shower after that, he came out on a Sunday evening at no extra charge to fix it within about ten minutes. We have a great deal of confidence in his ability and trustworthiness.

I used Forthright Plumbing to re-pipe my entire home. Ricky did a great job removing the old cast iron/galvanized pipes and replacing with PVC. I was a bit concerned that my concrete driveway right on top of the main line would be an issue. Ricky’s expertise came into play redirecting the main line to the side of my driveway and only having to cutout a small section for the new line. Once repaired, it doesn’t even look like my driveway was touched. Not only was Ricky’s price tough to beat in comparison to other companies, but I felt relieved knowing he was the one doing the work and I can tell he takes great pride in his work.

For years I've had outdoor faucet issues. Forthright Plumbing came in within 30min and made those problems disappear.

This is the second time we have used sewer studs. They are now our go to for plumbing due to the thoroughness, care and complete satisfaction of their work. This time was a re-pipe of our kitchen drain to the septic tank. Instead of trenching through the house they very neatly repiped inside to outside the easiest way possible and went to the septic tank outside instead of inside. Therefore was much less of a disaster and expense as we only have to fix the outside!!! Thanks so much Sewer Studs, you are the best at what you do. The last job was re-piping the shower drain which was just as smooth !!!

Jesse Harris was an amazing tech he came out to help twice and both times he has been knowledgeable, professional, understanding and kind. With any plumbing problems it comes with a whole lot of stress. Everyone I’ve talked to Mikayla in the office, Jesse and Manny as techs have been so helpful and understanding especially when the HOA has to get involved. I needed so many notes, videos and picture documentation to provide the HOA and they have been on top of everything. On top of all that their prices are fair and affordable, I seriously cannot recommend this company enough.

EDIT: We had some more plumbing issues unrelated to what they fixed before. This time it was our bathroom sink not draining. Jesse and Jason came out to replace a pipe and had to cut into our drywall. They were again so fast, professional, knowledgeable and kind. Hands down the best plumbing company in the area! They are professional, honest and go above and beyond for the customer. I can’t say enough good things about this company. I was dealing with a large company (Olin) prior to meeting Ricky and his team and didn’t realize how much money and time I was wasting. I live in an old bungalow with original plumbing and needed my drain lines completely redone and repiping under my house. They completed the work for less than half the price of what I was quoted for by Olin and they far exceeded my expectation. If you need major work done on your home, this is the company to go with!

Forthright is not only the best plumbing company I've worked with, but one of the best companies I've worked with period. They recently plumbed my new master bathroom and repiped my whole house (from galvanized to PEX). Due to the size of the job, we worked with several different folks from Forthright and they all were extremely professional, communicative, and focused on doing the job right. I found it very helpful that they use the latest technology so you have well-documented, easy to access records and invoices (we needed lots of pictures for insurance). There were also several things they went above and beyond to flag or help with (e.g., how to get a great deal on fixtures, etc.) and I'm just so deeply grateful to them for going the extra mile! Plus, they have a true passion for their craft which makes it a joy to work with them. Highly recommend!

These guys know how to communicate and are some of the last ones out there that show up when they say they will and get the work done. I will be using as my go to plumbers as well as recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber.

Ricky takes the time to figure out what's going on so he doesn't have to charge you for a bunch of stuff you didn't need him to do, something a lot of plumbers neglect. My tenants like him, and he goes out of his way to do a clean, professional job, big or small. His prices are fair, and you're getting better, more conscientious work than you'd be getting from someone else. He does online billing with notifications when he's on the way and finished with a detailed summary so if you're having him work at rentals you'll know exactly what he did without having to be there.

With a lot of plumbers you end up back and forth with some office as much or more than the plumber doing your work. With Ricky you're dealing with a good plumber who knows how to run a business and respects your time. If you have him do work for you once, you'll stick with him.
