Gary, of Sample Plumbing, was prompt, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He located and unclogged a sewer pipe leading to the street and showed where the buried clean out plug was located.. Kelly, Office Manager (?) was pleasant, efficient and helpful.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. When called for a quote, they charge $100 an hour for labor and whatever the price for materials. What they won't tell you is the $100 clock starts when their person is enroute to the job. Who pays $100 for the drive out?!?

Quick efficient professional

I was once a plumber for sample plumbing! They treat there employees like slaves. They only hire junkies so remember that when they are in your house! Very shady, racist, horrible business practices. Don’t waste your time or money with this company! They do whatever to fix the problem for the moment! Then charge outrageous prices! I strongly suggest you look elsewhere to get your plumbing problems fixed!!

Did a great job and came equipped to do so same day and at a great price. A local family business I care to support and should I need anything fixed elsewhere in this old house, I'd call them again in the future. Friendly, punctiual, fair price, great work!

I contacted Sample Plumbing about what appeared to be a leaking toilet. The first issue was they said they would possibly come out the next day but definitely could the day after. They never called the first day or came out. The second day I called them back and they told me they had a tech coming out. When he came in he lifted the toilet lid and the fill valve tube had simply popped out. He put it back and the toilet was right back to working. Now, I recognize that I made a mistake in not checking for this, but because the water was overflowing in the back of the tank it appeared the water was leaking from the tank or toilet itself. When the tech flushed it a few times and felt sure it was the problem he headed out. I thought he was not going to charge me, and I said 'I need to pay you something for your time'. He said the office would send the bill. I should have inquired more about what the bill would be. As I was shocked when the invoice came for $160.00. The tech was in my house for 5 minutes. I certainly understand drive time, etc... I called the office and spoke to Simone, she said she didn't handle billing. I asked if a supervisor or someone in billing could call me back. I told her I was perfectly fine with paying $80 or $100 as I know a lot of service calls require that for appliances and things to be checked. I was happy to pay something for his time, I just felt the cost was really unfair based on the service provided. Simone said the tech logged he was at my house for 15 minutes. 10 of those I know he was sitting in his truck (as my office overlooks the street). And my question now is, does 15 minutes and no work justify $160? I asked Simone to call me back after she talked to a supervisor or billing. She never called me back. I called back about a week later and again she never called me back. That is just really unprofessional. I would not expect this from a small plumbing company, it seems to me it would make sense to meet in the middle in this situation. I will not be using Sample Plumbing again.

After sampling other plumbers in the area, I found them to be recommended. They responded quickly to my issue, discussed my options and showed up as scheduled. The issue was repaired, efficiently, professionally and properly even cleaning up and replacing areas that needed access. So don't be a pipe dope, call Sample for all your elbows and collars, regardless of your angle.

Take it from me if you have water or plumbing issue, this Is the company to call. Stuart is the guy who knows how to handle emergencies professionally and punctuality is his motto. I have experienced it. I don’t waste time in leaving reviews because I don’t have time but this one I had to. They took care of my business when I need someone to fix my slab leak right away. I have a gas station and the water is the key here for everything, Stuart understood my issue and resolved it so quick. They are busy but they squeeze me in because they have extra staff. Their employees are not only professional but way to diligent, Ryan. Matt and Allen are hardest workers, gems for the company they work for, punctual, smart and professional. Seen with my own eyes. On the day Stuart told me he would start work and the day He would finish, then city inspection and boom! Good to go. Just how He said He would work he did. Stuart is a great guy and very smart. Knows what He is doing. Spent less time on my property but knows may be more than I do on piping system. I thank the entire team they have been nothing but polite and great to me and my property. On top of everything, their pricing is just like icing on the cake. Super reasonable prices. Delighted with the service. Will call Stuart plumbing for life.

Excellent service! I had a great experience with Gary from Sample Plumbing. He showed up on time, was professional and explained everything to me. Fixed my toilet and unclogged my shower drain. I will definitely use this company again and recommend them to anyone with plumbing needs.

Gary is by far the most professional and knowledgeable plumber we have worked with! He was so patient with my husband who likes to do Everything himself and actually walked him through every step he made to get our problem resolved. This is the only company I will consider calling for the foreseeable future and I will be requesting Gary everytime!

I worked here years ago. This is by far the best company I have ever worked for. Mr. Sample is not only a very knowledgeable plumber, but he was also a great role model and mentor to me. He definitely has the best plumbing company in Tampa. He only hires the best because he has great integrity. I highly recommend.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They called in a code enforcement complaint to the city because we awarded a piece of business to one of their competitors. Highly unprofessional and totally vindictive!

Great Plumbing job. Office staff had their act together, plumber was knowledgeable and efficient.

I needed a new water heater and they did a good job installing it. However, the service was provided at the beginning of 2021 (today is November of 2022). They reached out to me one time last year and I said I paid for the service. I did not hear anything else for a year, and just now I got another email We have made several attempts to collect payment. No payment has been made and we have moved forward with a property lien.

They have billing issues

We found a water leak last night and called Sample Plumbing. Kelly was quick to respond, had Simone call us at 7am this morning and Gary was at our house by 7:30am. He was prompt, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He immediately located the leak in the wall and replaced the pipe and everything is back together already this morning. What sounded like a big problem was fixed in no time. I would highly recommend Sample Plumbing.

Sample plumbing has done multiple projects for me at my private residence and my business. I have always had a great result from them. Whether the job is installing a new water heater, clearing a plugged sewer line, or running a video in sewer pipe they have top notch equipment and their personnel are very knowledgeable. I recommend them for any job!

The best plumbing company in Tampa, no contest. I've used them twice and both times have timely, professional and fair on price. I hope I don't have a plumbing issue again but if I do, Sample is who I will use.
