Called to make an appointment figuring it would be in a couple of days. Josh came out within a couple of hours and fixed the clog in a timely manner.
I had called Clearwater Plumbing previous and they could not send anyone until the following week.
This was my first time using McGill Plumbing and I am very happy with their service, and Josh was great!! I am a happy customer, and will continue using this company.

We noticed a leak under the toilet and water sitting in the shower in one of the bathrooms. We got put on the calendar for the next business weekday. Of course, the 2nd bathroom toilet then started to clog and the shower in that bathroom started to have standing water come Saturday morning. Called at 8:45 am and both bathrooms were functional by 10am. The Technician Mark was very professional and courteous. He gave us some great follow up instructions and recommendations. Although we did need to seek emergency services this go around, we feel the amount we paid for the services rendered were of great value. Happy to support a local Largo company. We will use them again for any future plumbing issues or projects.

I hired this company to come out and unclog a drain, they left me with a $533 bill, drain still clogged and made the assumption I would need to replace the entire sewer line without ever finding the problem. I gave them the benefit of a doubt and was told they would reach out at the latest the following Monday to schedule an estimator to replace my line, it is now Tuesday. Had I known I was paying them hourly to poke around my front yard with a rod, I would have cancelled them as soon as I was told they could not unclog the drain. Not to mention the water that continued to run for two hours as a plumber aerated my lawn.... Personally if it was my company and I left a job worse than when I arrived there wouldn’t be a charge.

$165/hour to get the pipe re-routed and end up with a tripping hazard right by the door. The access should have been somewhere else.

Also their slogan if water runs through it, we do it does not apply to sprinklers, they stopped doing that.

Konstantine was professional, courteous and performed a thorough job while installing our new water heater. He took the time to educate me on the proper way to flush the tank annually. I'd highly recommend him. He seemed to care about the quality of his work.

Tom the technician repaired a water leak underneath a concrete
slab that burst. Tom work diligently until the job was complete, and there were no more leaks. I am very please with the work Tom perform to get the water up and running again.

I called McGill Plumbing because our kitchen sink drain line was clogged. They were able to send Josh out the same day. Josh was fast (climbed up on the roof and started clearing the line through the standpipe in minutes.) He had the line clear and came back in to flush the pipes and make sure it was draining well. He even checked the line with a camera to make sure nothing big was blocking it. McGill is a few minutes from our house so they are usually the first ones I call.

This service involved the installation of a Fleck one piece water softener installed in January 2018. Last month (September 2022) I called them because the unit was not performing. When I purchased the unit, I was told that the warranty was 5 years. There was no mention about the type of salt that was needed. When the technician came out last month, he immediately told me that the reason the unit wasn't working was because I had used the wrong salt and there was no warranty. Someone from the company told me via phone that there was only a 1 year warranty on the unit.....When I purchased the unit, I asked if there was any documentation and McGill told me to print it out from the website, which I did. This documentation states a 5 year warranty on the control value and mentions nothing about the type of salt OR that the use of pellets will void the warranty. So I am saying....please be aware when purchasing a water softener from them. I feel that I was they totally misrepresented this product to me.

After receiving a call from one of the corporate officers , I discussed what had happened to me. He was so apologetic. As a result, the company provided me with a totally acceptable solution. Per my discussions, this situation could have been avoided had upper management been involved from the start. I definitely will give McGill another try if I have need for their services.

We had a bathroom tub leak that was about 5 gallons an hour. They were able to come and fix it that same day. Ryan M was a great plumber and fixed an old system and explained everything throughout the process. I would highly recommend this company for plumbing work of any kind!

The guys showed up right on time to install our new hose bib. They did an excellent job, were clean, courteous and efficient. We've used McGill plumbing several times and have never been disappointed in the slightest.

Quick service and great explanation of work

Ryan performed excellent work under the kitchen sink, rerouting another company's prior poor plumbing work into a simpler and more appealing solution. Kudos to Ryan. Ask for him. A good man who does good work.

Josh came to my home quickly after I called McGill. My toilet and shower were both stopped up. Josh was excellent in customer service and repair. He was very efficient and gave me tips on ways to avoid plumbing issues.

Kyle was very professional and helpful. He not only replaced our disposal quickly (which was the issue we had called to resolve), he also replaced the mechanism in our toilets so that they don't make such noise! And that we hadn't mentioned when we made the service call for the disposal. So I was REALLY pleased to have our disposal and toilets back in working order after just one service call!!!! 170 dollars minimum for a clogged shower?? That’s absolutely ridiculous.
Edit: In reply to the response, that’s a downright lie.
I called 3 weeks ago and the woman that answered was extremely short with me and I told her that I had a clogged shower. I asked for the rates and she said clear as day “We charge a minimum of 170
Per hour” So address that with her because that’s unacceptable.

On Friday 05-17-19 , I take my day off to take care my kitchen sink problem. At 11am I called to make an appoinment, the representative was pick up a phone call and set window time is 11-2pm.. I waiting until 2pm but no one call me. I called back, they said that they I coming right now. I waitng for one hour but no show -no call. I called again they said that they are on the way.. I have to cancel because can't anymore.
Please respect your customer time and calling immediatly to asking or update window time anytime if you missing information or you can't come.

Our service rep Ryan did a great job. He showed up within the time window we were given, was courteous and friendly during the entire visit, and- most importantly- he got the job done within a reasonable amount of time. We will definitely call on McGill again the next time we need some plumbing work done.

After a few other estimates I went with McGill based on their reviews and the upfront, pricing of $95 an hour given when I called. (A Mr Rooter plumber quoted a stunning $950 flat rate!) We needed to replace the leaking, 40 year old valve body/faucet/handles of our bathtub. We had already purchased the set at Lowes. Usually this is a fairly easy job that takes a couple of hours. However the access to the plumbing was very confined in the back of a small hall closet. Alex was our plumber. He did a great job, even when the old pipes from the foundation kept springing leaks and he had to repeatedly solder them while scrunched up on our tile floor in the closet, until at last they were dry. It took over twice the time it normally does because of our pipes, so we paid more than we hoped, but I know I paid for quality work that was necessary, and still nowhere near the outrageous competitors quote. Everything works perfectly now. Glad to have found a plumbing service we can trust and hope Alex will be available if we need him again.

He was smiling as he exited his truck and remained personable throughout his job. He worked quickly and well and was throughly professional but as I said just had a wonderful attitude. Jennifer was AMAZING and put up with my multiple calls with multiple questions...she answered them all happily and honestly. Randy(?) Who came out to give me my quote was very punctual, friendly, educational in explaining all that would have to be done.

CONSTANTINE is THE man! He was the one who installed the water heater and boy did he have a task on his hands. The previous owner never pulled a permit when he installed the one I had replaced...and it was REALLY out of code. He was very tidy, handled my property with care and was very friendly.

Everyone I dealt with at McGill was VERY straight forward, which I LOVE. I'd rather hear the truth whether it's good or bad so that it can be fixed properly. I had another company in for a quote the day before and he didn't red flag ANY of the code violations. McGill is very thorough.

The only downside was that they didn't cover the hole they had to open up in my wall (temporary tape) as they did for my neighbor but I'm handy with duct tape so it's covered now.

Could not be happier with McGill. Started with Shane who explained everything that needed to be done and was very knowledgeable and over the top helpful. Then Kyle came to our house to install, a very personal and professional young man dealing with my elderly mother. He had all the patience in the world! Great great job. I've known the president of the company since high school and I'm really proud of the business he has built. His employees are professional and competent, customer service is fantastic and prices are competitive. I run an assisted living facility and McGill is the only plumbing company I use at my home or business.

After reaching out to the office, VP Scott came out to speak with me in person and was very professional in handling my concerns with my plumbing experience. The storefront manager was very helpful, everyone else I spoke to on the phone was courteous and professional, and I believe my plumbing experience does not reflect the rest of the company and I believe it was handled appropriately on their end. Thank you.

The first call came out last week, shut the water off and set everything up and then proceeds to come out to tell me that he doesn't do this kind of work anymore because he's 70 (which is fine, but why was he dispatched for this job then?!) and that he would reschedule this. They couldn't send anyone else out until the following Monday, causing me to have to reschedule the contracted work that depended on this plumbing job being finished. Fine, I get it sorted out and take a second day off of work to get this done. Monday comes and two guys show up for $145/hour and the main guy proceeds to be incredibly rude when discussing what this job entails with me, to the point that I was strongly considering going with a different plumber (which I would have if I hadn't been already behind on this job). I had to decide between just fixing a leak vs. repiping the bathroom and he said if I decided to just fix the leak, the new bathroom vanity I have wouldn't fit. I said if we only fix the leak, I can adjust the vanity, but my main concern was leaks in the future with the old galvanized pipe. Despite not being able to give me even a ballpark number on hours or material cost, I said go ahead and repipe. The work seems fine, except guess what, THE VANITY DOESN'T FIT, which was one of his main suggestions for repiping! He told that if I was fine adjusting the vanity to fix the leak, I can do that now. $1050 dollars later and they couldn't be bothered to use the measurements they took and put the shut off an inch higher? In addition to this, the two guys both cleaned up together and then after completely cleaning up, the two of them proceeded to take a full 45 minutes to write up the invoice, which at $145/hour is ridiculous. If this is standard (as their manager said), they need to let people know upfront that in addition to the 15 minutes travel time, they will also be charged for an additional 45 minutes of billing .

Service on February 28, 2019 was awesome. I called McGill for backed up toilet and drain. Chip arrived introduced himself, inspected the situation, and explained that he would have my problem solved in no time. Promptly and professionally Chip followed through and my problem was solved. Used to go to the big stores for plumbing parts. Your place is about the same price and the counter staff have great experience and have helped me through my problems.

I wanted you to know how much we appreciated the top-notch service we have received from this company. We just had 2 bathrooms sinks and faucets installed in our master bath, a new shower valve in our shower, and new insides and wax ring for our guest bath commode. Robert came out and gave us a very competitive quote and was a pleasure to work with.

Chris and Steve did the actual installation along with the other work and were very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and EXTREMELY neat. We have wood floors in the master bath and they took extra care to keep them looking just as good as when they arrived. Chip worked hard and continuously on several (small) projects. He explained what to look for in the future (as a heads-up to phone for repairs, again). Chip fixed everything on my list and tested each fix (at least once). He is friendly and respectful, and very skilled.

I had McGill out to repair a pipe leak behind my bathroom wall. When they cut through my bathroom vanity the plumber found mold, left the room and called someone, came back and said he couldn't proceed until I had the mold removed. He then proceeded to charge me $118.00. I still have a pipe that is leaking and the mold remediation company will most likely start next week, but as any reputable plumber should know, the leak needs to be repaired BEFORE the mold can be remediated. I am now in the process of finding a good plumber that will do the work and not just charge me to walk in the door.

We needed a new bathroom faucet and shower bar & head installed. It was a little complicated because the valves did not line up with the new vanity. John from McGill came out and he was confident that he could complete the job. He had to make some cuts in the vanity, but he was careful and clean! Everything looks beautiful. I also needed a new shower bar, head and on/off whatchamacallit installed... the old one was installed crooked, but somehow John was able to install the new one without breaking any tile. It's perfect, and the water pressure is amazing! John is friendly and has a great attitude. He was upbeat about the project and that resulted in a job well done! Thank you, McGill!

Clogged sink on Good Friday afternoon. Ugh!!! Turned down by 2 other companies! Called McGill and they said they would be right out. Ryan got to our home within 15 minutes. He was friendly and professional. He found the problem very quickly (it wasn't just in the trap). He went over and above to make sure he got the whole clog out from way down in the pipe system. He put everything back together and made sure everything was working properly. He even cleaned up! I am very grateful to Ryan and to McGill Plumbing. I will call them first from now on!!!!

They sent out a very rude on call tech that was annoyed that he was at my house after they company just replaced pipes in my kitchen 2 hours before. He did not reply when I asked him questions as if I wasnt even there. He also said Why am I even here? when my maintenance guy also arrived and offered to help with the leak from the company's work.

I called for an estimate to hook up plumbing for a washer and dryer. Technician came and said I would get email within two days. I waited five and called office. I was told he was off for the weekend and would hear Monday. I guess they don’t have time fir the

A great experience! McGill replaced our laundry tub and water heater with a hybrid one. Everyone was friendly, extremely helpful and knowledgeable. From Nikki and Tonya on the phone to Johnathan in the showroom who talked me through all the water heater options. He was a fountain of information. Tom did the installation. Because of the location of the old heater and the existing plumbing, it was a difficult install. Friendly and worked hard. He did a masterful job, especially the complicated copper line work. It looks good, works perfect, and a good value. It will save us money in the long run (or maybe sooner). I could not be more pleased. I highly recommend them.

I have never ever had such a rude salesperson. I am In my late 60’s. I went there to purchase a few shower drain parts. The sales person told me that I was no plumber and that he would not help me resolve my minor problem. He told me that they are plumbers and they do that kind of work. Their website and advertising state that they sell plumbing supplies, I think they sell service and give away free rudeness. I went to Lowe’s and there I found sales people that were knowledgeable and polite. Three years ago I remodeled our kitchen purchasing high end products from McGills you can bet that I will never darken their doors again.

I was interested in purchasing a new kitchen faucet and Shane in the service department was very helpful. He helped me with measurements and arranged for the installation. Kyle was my service pro, he was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable regarding the installation. I would recommend McGill Plumbing for any of your plumbing needs.

We had a serious plumbing problem with water filling the bathroom and bedroom. McGill sent Josh out promptly. He quickly checked possible causes, found the cause, and stopped the overflow. Tom Morgan at McGill Plumbing saved the day! Tom came to our house at 11pm for a broken, old, corroded water heater (why do these things always break at 11 o'clock at night?!). We have an unusual size tank, and could've had to wait weeks to get a new one. However, Tom was able to locate and secure a new tank the very next day and we had hot water again in less than 24 hours. Easy peezy! :) Thank you Tom!

We just had a service call this morning by McGill Plumbing & Water Treatment. The appointment was suppose to be between 1 and 4 pm. Shane from the office called at 9:30am and told me they had a technician in the area if now would be a better time, I graciously accepted! Josh came up and was very polite with a smile on his face. He asked all the right questions and diagnosed the problem right away. Josh was also helpful in answering questions for me to void another back up. Within the hour from Shane's call to paying the very modest bill, my house was back in shape. McGill Plumbing will most certainly be my go to company for me and my clients going forward. On a Monday I called Apollo Plumbing and got the run around till Thursday evening about when the plumber would show up. I told them to forget about it I would call someone else.

I called McGill after 9am on Friday and Kyle the plumber was at my house by 3pm. We needed a toilet reseated. Kyle was marvelous, clean and efficient, he replaced the flange, leveled the toilet and resealed it around the floor. The price was excellent as well. Very professional and friendly.

He installed the new water heater and the whole area looks great now! Mike was professional and very knowledgeable - certainly a pro when it comes to water heaters. This company was the best!!!! I highly recommend them! We just had our floor put down a year and a half ago and we found out we had a leak under the floor under the fridge. They only made the hole big enough so they could fix it so it couldn’t be seen. We had no more flooring to fix the floor and it has been discontinued. I called at 7:30 and the father -son team arrived at 10:19 a.m. They worked hard and fast and fixed the problem in about an hour. I was shocked that I only paid $147.50 for the service. A friend told me they were good and would not cheat me and they did not! Call them!

Chip came out and rapidly cleaned up the problem which was a bit complicated due to the age of the faucet. But the water heater and angle stop were really fast. And when the part wasn't in his truck one was found and delivered I think within 15 minutes or so. Pretty cool.

UPDATE: Kudos to the company for providing quick feedback and resolution to my issue/review..! However, I hope they reconsider their travel charge policy..as I don't see this is standard in the market..I've used 3 different companies in the last 6 months, and the other two companies had lower per hour charges, and no travel charges..

They explained the problem and what they needed to do and hopped right in and fixed the problem, backed up main drain. So efficient and the charge was exactly as I had been quoted on the phone. Called for after hours service on 9/25 @ 11 pm. Answering service took my info but no call back from company. Called again 1.5 hours later & answering service confirmed my info but again no call back. Called @ 0700 on 9/27 & received a call back that the unclog team was booked all day and the earliest available service was Monday (next day) some time. I asked if they could refer another company that might be available and I was told to google it (in a nice way). I had previously used this company on 9/7 for this very same issue (clogged pipes) & the response was timely. They came out @ 930-10 pm and ran K60 cable down the vent stack and unclogged the drain. So, 4-5 star the 1st call but a 2 star this time (9/25) for lack of callback and no availability.

Mike from McGill Plumbing installed a garbage disposal for us today. He was prompt, courteous and extremely neat. He worked efficiently and cleaned up so well that if we were not present, you would never know he was there. We highly recommend Mike L. and McGill Plumbing. Awesome job!!

My water heater is leaking from the tank and needs to be replaced. On Thursday 3/28, I called 5 companies for estimates. I called McGill and David gave me an estimate for a Bradford White heater and expansion tank for $925. One of the other estimates I received was also for a Bradford White heater and expansion tank for $900 (clog kings). Due to name recognition and being around as long as I remember, I was going with McGill. Friday morning a little before 9, I called McGill to schedule the installation. I was told David was unavailable. I provided my information and was told David would call me back. Around 1 I called back because i had not received a call. I asked for David and another guy answered. He stated the showroom was very busy and David was not available. I explained that i already left a message and had not heard back. I again left my information and was told i would get a call. It is now Saturday and still no call. I don't know if David ever received my messages, so I am not blaming him. I run a pest control branch. If our customer service was this poor, I would be fired! Without customers, you have no business and you DO NOT have this customer. I gave you the opportunity to have my business and you flushed it down the toilet!(pun intended) I will have clog kings instal my new water heater.

I called McGill for a stubborn kitchen sink clog after my previous plumber told me it would take 3 days to work me in “because it’s really busy with the folks up north coming down and finding issues.” They worked me in next day. Josh showed up in the promised window; diagnosed and fixed the issue promptly with an industrial snake,; and charged a reasonable price—and was great to work with. Would definitely recommend and use again.

My hot water replacement was no easy task given the tight space and that several valves needed to be replaced as well as new piping. I'm very satisfied with the work and the customer experience. Have lived in Clearwater for more than 50 years. Have been using McGill for about 20 years. We recently had an insurance claim where unfortunately the insurance company mandated who would repair our kitchen.Well, we still had a leak so I called McGill and Jennifer arranged a service call. When Jonathan came he assessed our situation and came to the conclusion that the parts had been incorrectly assembled under our sink. He then proceeded to tell me he could reuse those parts to save us money. After he correctly hooked up our twin sinks he asked if there was any other plumbing issues to address as we were well under the minimum service time charge. So I asked him to look at an external leaking faucet which he determined needing replacement. All said and done, I paid $100.00 for everything and couldn’t be happier to have meet one of the most honest servicemen I’ve ever come across.

I was out of town and my wife called in a panic with an overflowing toilet. Even after talking her through shutting off water to the toilet and then shutting off the main water supply the leak continued. She called McGills and literally had a tech on the roof running a snake down the drain in 10 minutes, on a Saturday! Priceless! Well done!

I ALWAYS call McGill for any plumbing need. Today Josh came to replace a garbage disposal. He was so professional and taught this retired teacher a lesson on garbage disposals. I know what to listen for,I know about the reset button, and I know how to use an Allan wrench to loosen blades when they are stuck. He said I could be his helper on his next garbage disposal call. Our water softener broke on a Friday and by Tuesday we had a new water softener. Ric the technician was very professional and knowlegeable. He was very throughrough and provided excellent workmanship. The office staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. Called a couple of times to ask questions about the new water softener being installed and everytime they answered my questions. We won't hesitate to call them again for our plumbing needs.

Definitely a 5-star rating for this company and the staff. Have had 2 clogs in a year and both times, they were knowledgeable and worked to get us in quickly on the schedule. I would highly recommend them as a homeowner in the Clearwater Beach area.

Reading all these reviews from upset customers complaining about McGill Services and their employees, especially the individual whom like to reply back to these bad reviews in unprofessional manner. Now keep in mind whom ever reads/replies back to these bad review about this company must understand that it’s our First Amendment Right to express ourselves (FREE SPEACH) in an appropriate manner yet still telling the truth. Especially if it comes from an active employee coming from and representing a Large well known company like this one.

On 5-12-19 we had an emergency that consisted of our kitchen sink backing up. I attempted to fix the sink with a plunger....no good. We called McGill at approximately 3:50p and spoke with Shane. Within 35 min Josh was at our residence. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the issue we were experiencing. Apparently the main line that drains the kitchen sink and washing machine was backed up. Josh was on our roof with what I will call a supersnake and remedied the issue. He was done within an hour. He gave us a few tips in regards to keeping the line clean and even how to test where in the line if a potential issue should arise. We have been using McGill Plumbing for the past 13 years and have always been satisfied with their quality of work. Our most recent experience proves no different. Thank-you.

Had a leaking water heater and called McGill, why not support our local businesses. This was july 2017. The recommended a new water heater. Sure $1300 they installed it all great after a few hours. Since then the water at home never got very hot as before and the unit made weird noises. Called them a couple of times to come and check since it just didn't feel right, of course they came and didn't find anything. Fast forward last week the unit started to leak everyday for the past 10 days. I called them and spoke with someone claiming to be the manager. I tried to explain the issue and since the unit is still under warranty I asked for them to come and look at it. He kept saying its $150/hour. These are hard times for businesses and I get it they are there to make money but that shouldn't be the first thing coming out of their mouths. I decided to call another local plumber and the moment they walked in they identified the issue. The water heater was connected wrong, McGill installer had connected the cold water line to the hot inlet in the water heater and the expansion tank to the hot water line which is a big no no. I don't understand how they fail to see that while doing the installation. Got a new water heater and a job done right today. If you get work done by these guys make sure it's done right cuz once they gone is done! Would never deal with them again. Pinellas has a bunch of other honest companies that would love to earn our business.

Tried to use McGill to get an estimate on repairs necessary in my home found during a home inspection. I paid them $150 and then they gave me another home inspection report that mirrored the one that I gave them to begin with. When I asked them for the pricing of it all they told me they couldn't give me an accurate number. Not to mention this took all in all about a week when it was only supposed to be two days. In my experience McGill and their customer service was poor in communication & professionalism, and at the end of the day they didn't even get the job done. Would not recommend their service.

Sent three messages on their website for the last three weeks and have yet to hear from them. Do not contact them through their messaging system on their website. It does not work.

Edit: tried their email system again that’s front page on the website. Still get no message or phone call back. (Tried a 4th time. Still nothing)

However they have helped me before when replacing a bathtub pipe and they did great work.

Edit: hired them again to fix a broken water line outside. Did great work and fixed it. Unfortunately a separate pipe on the same line popped out. It was raining and everything so I assumed they’d come back the next door or something. Nope. Came right back out with another crew and fixed it. Absolutely recommend!

SO anyway, I had a leak in the kitchen sink and this dude knew exactly what the issue was and how to fix it, sadly we couldn't unplug it simply or replace it due to not having the parts needed for the type of service, but he did offer options and helpful advice how to fix it! He even checked underneath the sink for leaks or any other possible issues.

Since the job I asked was so simply fixed I asked if he could check the toilet for any other issues since I don't usually have a plumber over, he fixed and replaced a certain pipe in the toilet and went on his way! Thanks again guys! If I ever wanna say Screw It and replace the entire sink I will definitely give you a call!

Had McGill to my house twice, no camera was used kept having same issue. Finally found a plumber who used a camera on initial consultation at no charge, and mcgill was totally off the mark. I would not suggest them! I feel I was taken advantage off. I have pictures to prove it. What I paid McGill could have paid for my repair yesterday. Said I had a soft clog, meaning g toilet paper stuck, second person said maybe roots, maybe??? It turned out it was tree root crushed pipe allowing for slow drain. Camera said my pipes look great and no way toilet paper would catch. ***(update 2/14/2023) a supervisor did call me about ten days after seeing my review and was very kind and we spoke about the difficulties I had with McGill service. And they did refund me 100% and I appreciate the call and the 100% money back guarantee. I will try them again in the future, knowing what I now. I'm looking forward to that review being a 5 star. Hopefully not any time soon, thank you again for responding and following up.

Have been having an issue with the plumbing on an older house here in the jungle area of St Petersburg... called McGill they send a technician outp. Instead, I called McGill for some pricing, did a little homework on the product they recommended, and had a new toilet installed the next morning. Thank you! I called McGill's first thing Monday morning asking if they could send someone out to look at my hot water heater (as I had been taking cold showers all weekend). Within 45 minutes of calling a technician was at my house to look at the problem. After discussing and accessing we decided it was time to replace my water heater, once we agreed he got the water heater here and installed by lunch time. Total time of 4 hours from call to new water heater and the technician Mike was very nice and personable. The whole experience was quick and painless and I am back to hot showers.

John and Jim originally came to diagnose and search for a clogged drain in an old St Petersburg house. They arrived as advertised, went right to work. They explained each step of the process. After determining the cause, they set up a second visit to re-plumb and reroute the original sewer line. Again on the second visit they arrived on time and went tight to work. It took both of them most of the day to complete the work. They kept me informed of the progress and showed me the new drain lines etc. before covering them and replacing the sidewalk pavers that needed to be removed to gain access. Professional, pleasant , courteous. I would recommend them highly and will definitely use them when another need arises.

We had a kitchen faucet start leaking profusely. While I was turning off the water, the pea trap and adjoining pipe broke off.

Amazing service! Both of my toilets were backed up. They came and he was here 5 minutes and knew right away what it was. Which turns out all it was, was a 10 dollar vent cap part causing the issue and I was only charged the service call price and he was only here half an hour. I ordered the part I needed. The first company I had called prior to McGill instantly wanted to charge me $375 right of the bat to scope my line over the phone without even looking at the problem. Highly recommend McGill. They actually care about their customer and I highly appreciate that honesty. Amazing guys thank you!

I cannot say enough good things about McGill Plumbing, but specifically my Plumber, Mark. While here on a scheduled service call to remedy a missing gasket on the overflow drain in a tub, Mark noted that we had 1/2” piping at a junction from the waste drain leaving the tub. Mark explained that over time the small diameter could fill with soap scum, hair, sand from the beach, etc and I’d be calling him frequently to address clogging issues. We had Mark back out to turn this 1/2” junction pipe to a 1 1/2” pipe (I also am not sure if I’m using all the correct terminology). The quickness at which both services were completed were appreciated. I also appreciated the kindness and patience Mark took with me during explanations. They were extremely punctual and tidy during their visit. I will 100% be calling McGill in the future should I require their services!!

I just want to say that this company is honest and very kind. The plumber that came out was ultimately not able to resolve our issue but it was not his fault. We just bought this house and didn't know we were on a septic. So we need septic company to come. But they waived the fee for their services, even after i offered to pay a portion for their efforts. I will be calling them again for any other issues. Really means SO MUCH considering we have a bigger issue that is our of their realm!

I had 3 other service companies come to repair my washing machine. one of them said that my fixtures are bad and I will have a flood if I don't change them, and that the water pressure is weak.
Then I Called Mcgill, They sent Chip and he was Great. He found out that the water was turned off, possibly by the other service people. We are renting in Palm Hill Country Club. We had a fairly complicated plumbing problem and our owners called McGill Plumbing. I was concerned that the problem could not be fixed without major disruption. Cody arrived with a smille on his face and went to work right away. He worked hard and kept me informed of his progress. Mike informed me of the charges before he began work, so no surprises. I had a problem with my water softener. It failed, resulting in resin beads being dumped into the pipes in my house. Having gone through this before, I knew the drill. Put the softener in bypass mode, and then open up all the taps in the house to let the system flush out the beads. Of course you have to remove aerators and such. Well evidently, I didn't succeed at putting it in bypass mode. But Konstantine was very amiable and pointed that out in a nice way, and understood everything I had done. So we agreed it was time to replace my water softener, having failed twice in 15 years. Additionally, it turned out the main water shutoff valve to my house was not working either. So he replaced that, replaced the water softener, replaced 2 leaky bathroom fixtures, and all the aerators. He was very efficient and had the work done in under 3 hours. The water pressure in my house is excellent and the softener is doing its job. Thank you Konstantine!!!

McGill has been dragging their feet regarding a faulty icemaker line installd by one of their techs. It had a splice in it and leaked and soaked my kitchen cabinets. They sent a company out to dry cabinets. They were here for over a week, sounded like a wind tunnel in my home. Inusance adjuster came the following week to appraise damage. Now McGill has been giving me the run around, as I call weekly to find out when repairs will be. Almost 5 months later, they have told me:
1. Call adjuster - (he is a private adjustment contractor) whom I have called twice and he said he just gives an estimate and submits to insurance.
2. Call insurance company, yet they will not give me their insurance company's name.
3. Heather (contact at McGill) tells me she will return my calls and get to the bottom of this, to no avail.
4. Today, 5/15, I called, and again I was told to call adjuster, which I did and he said he already told Heather to contact insurance company. He said he would call hr again today.
I am tired of the run around. I want my cabinet repaired ASAP...PLEASE!!!

Very happy with the prompt service. The service pro Konstantin P. was the best, he accessed my water heater problem and we decided that it was time for the 9 year old rusted out heater to go. The area that had to be worked in was very tight and Konstantin was very patient. I would give six stars if I could. I had a water leak at the pipe that comes into my house from the main street. The leak was below the shut off valve. I stopped by your shop at 8:00 AM this morning seeking help for my problem as my water had been shut off at the meter on Saturday morning. Josh and Kyle did a fanastic job to have my water lines (sink and dishwasher) disconnected and then reconnected using new pipes after new countertop and sink were put in. They also installed my new motion sensored faucet. They were very professional and their price was very reasonable. I am very happy with the newly installed faucet as well as the new pipes down here. I will definetly call them again for future needs.

We had a 6 gallon an hour water leak that we couldn't find. John came out and tracked it down to the line between the meter and our house. He dug out the line, found the leak, replaced the line and added a new manual shut off valve at the house. All in the space of maybe 4 hours.

The plumbers in town!

The part I wanted does not exist yet this very informal gentleman spent over 30 minutes putting together small fittings that eventually resolved my problem, all for a few dollars. Such caring not seen in years! Furthermore, he had just made a lady cry by first finding her a replacement toilet cover and then not even charging her for it.

This company shut the water off to a building without letting anyone else in the building know they were going to do it. More so, this was not an emergency situation. When I called them they said it was not their responsibility to let other owners in a condo building know. We live in a four unit condo building, all units privately owned. The company said their technicians do not have the time to knock on doors and let others know. Those would have taken all of 5 minutes and would have been a common coutesy. They stated their common practice was to tell the person who orders the work to let others know and that the tech also asks when they arrive if others have been informed. Obviously, they did not follow common practice seeing no one informed the other three owners.

Kyle was very responsive and efficient in replacing our toilet wax ring. Very professional young man I would highly recommend for your plumbing needs.

He ordered our materials and then we setup installation. We just had the faucet installed and they also fixed an old leaking spigot outside. Kyle our Installer was Awesome!!! Very quick and thorough.. He was training a new guy Justin and he was explaining everything to him like a true professional. A great experience from start to finish..

Just had a leak fixed, wall patched and a new water softener installed. Joe was great! Everything looks great! Two other companies wanted to charge over $4000 and not even patch the hole. Glad we chose McGill...ended up being a lot cheaper and got everything we needed dobe. We definitely found our plumber company.

NO SATISFACTION AFTER BAD HEATER (SELECTED BY THEM) WAS INSTALLED. SEVERAL PLUMBERS CAME FOR FEW MINS., 3 WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT IT.....JUST MADE RIDICULUS EXCUSES & LEFT. STILL WAITING FOR MGR., A NO-SHOW WHO WAS TO DELIGHT US WITH A SATIFACTORY REMEDY! NEVER EVEN CALLED TO APOLOGIZE. WHAT WOULD THE PURPOSE BE OF US TRYING TO GET HELP FOR WARANTEED UNIT IF NOTHING WRONG WITH IT? OUR REPLACED 7-YR OLD UNIT WORKED UNBELIEVABLY BETTER!

New hot water heater installed by Rick and Tom. They arrived on time and finished in less than 2 hours. They worked together quickly and did a beautiful job. They explained everything I needed to know and were a pleasure to be around. Most importantly the price was as quoted and great!!! It was reasonable unlike previous quote I got from another company. Will definitely let McGill plumbing handle all my plumbing needs!!!!

I called Mcgill because I had a blockage in my sewer line. Ryan M. was the tech. He was highly professional and had the back up cleared out in no time. I felt that his service was outstanding due to his friendliness and thorough knowledge of my drain systems. I actually learned quite a bit about my sewer in the time he was here and I appreciated that because before I had little to no knowledge about it. If I have another issue I will personally request him to come out.

Kyle was professional, personable, courteous, punctual and did his best to make sure that the job was done completely before he left. It was a pleasure dealing with him. Jennifer was also very professional on the phone and a pleasure to deal with. In the future we will only use McGill plumbing.

We called McGill Plumbing to have them come look at our water heater which was no longer producing hot water. Konstantin arrived exactly when they said he would. He immediately set to work on it, and I expected him to tell me that we would need to replace the unit. Within 30 minutes, he had replaced the bad parts, flushed the tank, and was refilling and testing it again! Very reasonably priced, and loved that he didnt just try to sell me a new Hot Water Heater!! Konstantin was prompt, professional, and knew exactly what he was doing! Would definitely call McGill Plumbing again!

I hear water moving.....it sounds like it's under the slab!!!!!
I call McGill. Jennifer sets up an appointment. A bit later, Shane P. calls and says we should verify the leak location first, and connects me with Sleuth Leak Detection, who discover the leak is in a Floor Drain Trap Primer....not under the slab!!!!
I call Sean back and tell him about the Trap Primer. He has one in stock and has Jennifer set up a repair for the next week. At 8:45am, Sean calls to say his guy will be there at 9:00am. Jonathan arrives precisely on time, explains the process, goes to work and completes everything in in 1 1/2 hours!!!
Problem solved!!! I no longer hear water moving!!!!

Mike L. did a great job repairing a leak in our kitchen. McGill plumbing was able to come the day I called while other companies could not get to our repairs for weeks. Mike arrived on time, was very neat and skilled in completeing the repair. They will be our Plumbing choice from now on and will be who we recommend to our friends.

Had a water backup emergency. In a short amount of time, Ryan diagnosed the issue, went looking for (and found) the buried sewer clean out, worked quickly and efficiently routing that and replacing a busted toilet bowl seal, and was on his way. He explained everything he was doing along the way. Asked for his card because I'll be using him for any future plumbing issues.
