I really did not want to purchase a new system However logically thinking it made sense instead of repairing our ten year old system that was working but making noise outside. Dan explained instead of throwing thousands at repairs and the costs of a system that was not efficient as far as power.
It was a big investment but wow this new system is awesome. I was a little nervous when I saw how small the air handler was. BUT it does such a better job than the old carrier system we had. The new Daikin is so quiet. I hardly ever know it's running. The air purification system is awesome 👌 also.
No one likes parting with 15k but I will say we are pleased with what we have so far. Haven't seen the electricity bill yet hoping that puts a big smile on our face. This new system is good and the only thing I'm not too find of is the thermostat. But I never need to adjust it like the other system so it's not a deal breaker for us.

The absolutely ONLY thing I was impressed about with this company is how fast they were able to come out and give me a quote. The tech quoted me $11,085 for a new unit. Knowing I needed to finance it, he NEVER once said anything about owing double or more and that 11,085 would be if I bought it from them outright. Way to rope you in buddy. When I called the finance company to get a pay off amount, the woman tells me I entered into a five year contract for $27 thousand bucks! I get that it was my fault for not reading line for line on his tablet, but when me being a considerate person, I wasn't trying to keep him any longer as he was already here for what seemed like forever and he was acting like he really had to go. You know, other appointments and such. The crew that came out to do the work, was supposed to take the old slab with them, but instead, I later found it out in my back yard where they hauled it to and dumped. I also picked up five five gallon buckets of trash they left around the area they were working at. My advice to anyone, is READ EVERY LINE AND ASK QUESTIONS!!

so i posted a bad review and they responded saying they never heard of me so i called the number and guess what the woman who answered found my account right away. She says she has been asking for someone to call me back, but as of this morning still no call back. I beleive she said Courtney was the one who is supposed to call me back. I now and sending a registered letter to their office since I can't get anyone on the phone

We purchased our system in August of 2018 it was an American Standard package unit. The installation was done on August 20, 2018. The installation crew was extremely new and our installation failed inspection twice with the city of Largo, Fl. The owner Dan had to come out and fix wiring that was done wrong. In our contract it included the Silver Comfort Club which was supposed to include a six month A/C tune up and a Heating tune up in the fall. We received no call to schedule our six month check up which should have been in or around February of 2019. We had to call over and over just to get someone to come out. Finally two employees came out to do the first inspection almost nine months after installation. The one put his gauges on top of the unit and never opened the unit. We had concerns about our installation and asked for Dan to call us. We left numerous messages no return calls. He gave us his cell phone number we even left messages on that no return calls. Finally we received a call from a dispatcher to schedule our summer check up In May of 2020 we explained what had happened and they came out to do the inspection which we did not have to pay for as we never received a proper inspection as promised. To our surprise on May 11, 2020 the same technician that installed our unit came out to do the very first inspection of our unit, almost two years after we purchased the unit. We explained our concerns to him and he told us the two that came out the first time and did absolutely nothing were no longer working for Heatwave. We asked again for Dan to call us no return call. Last evening November 11, 2020 our unit stopped working we called to have someone come out and we were told the club we were in had to be renewed every year. We looked at our Client agreement and it stated a one year commitment but had a 3 year breakdown guarantee we called back when we reset all the breakers and the system came back on. They were going to charge us to come out so we cancelled and our son called Dan he finally answered his phone. Our son voiced his concerns on how we were treated and the lack of service we received and we still had never received our fall tune up. He said he would honor our heating tune up but after that we could find another company to service our system. He has still never addressed our concerns about our system and it will be three years August of 2021. They lack professionalism and they don not honor their contracts. DO NOT USE HEATWAVE HEATING AND COOLING!!!

Requested refund of $529 and to cancel filter which was never placed.
technician showed to do maintenance and was suppose to install a electrostatic filter which he wasn't aware of. Informed Troy was let go on Friday and they didn't have the filter. Inconsistent answers from various employees and everyone dropped the ball. Was told they could order and have it here by Monday. I cancelled the order and was told the refund to my credit card can take 7 to 10 business days. NO money or callbacks!

If I could give negative stars, I would max them out. The company is selling merchandise for your A/C system eagerly but is unable to get the necessary filters to keep said system working properly. Extremely good at making empty promises .

Another company came to look at my son's A/C that just randomly stopped working. The other companies tech thought it was a leak in the Evap coil in the Air handling unit, and that the whole coil would need to be replaced with an estimated cost of $1,300 that macigally went up to $3,200 a few hours later. Heatwave's tech came out founding something else wrong in the evap, and had it up and running for a total of $49.00. Always, get a second opinoin before spending that much money on your HVAC system! (my back ground is in HVAC over 30 years experience, 21 years in the military and another 10+ years as a civilian. I just didn't like the answers I was getting from the 1st gut over the phone, where the Heatwave guy sounded like he knew what he was talking about.

My very old system had frozen and not cooling. The 2 repairmen were thorough, gave me the information I needed and were very pleasant.
Heat Wave installed a new hot water heater & responded quickly and the service was completed in one day. The quality of the work was professional and done in a very timely manner. I’ve had them out for both a/c work and plumbing calls in the last two weeks and both times the technicians have been fantastic. Brandon is the a/c guy who helped us out, and he was courteous, thorough and happy to explain what he was doing and what we could do to prevent the same problem / other problems from happening again. Today we had Jake out to help fix a leaky toilet and terrible flow on the kitchen faucet, and he was also really nice, personable and offered different solutions at different price-points so we had options, and made all repairs really quickly and cleanly. Both guys are awesome!

Servicer came out, looked at the unit and immediately told me I needed to replace the whole unit. We sat down and started going over the options, found a bank that would finance me for a $7000 unit. I told him I needed to get a second opinion. Long story short Thunder Bay came, checked out the unit, found the problem and $500 later the unit is like new again. Beware!!!!

I bought into the Heatwave Heating and Cooling $39.95 HVAC Service. They claim to provide a 90 to 120 minute HVAC maintenance service. What I received was their beware of the drive- by service. You may of heard this on the WFLA 970 Radio commercial.
Very disappointed in this service. All that was performed was to clean my outside coil and provide me with a outrageous estimate for a working AC system.
The technician came out and immediately began disassembling the air handler, then the outside unit and checked my attic ductwork.
The tech spent approximately 45 minutes to do the above, then another 20 minutes writing an estimate in his car. He called me to come for him to tell me what he found. He continued to provide me a litany of items needing cleaned, and a couple items to replace as well as another list of recommended items.
All told I needed over $6000 of recommendations.
One item is a contactor relay which costs between $12 to $60, it takes about 15 to 30 minutes to replace. I was quoted $239.
To remove and clean the blower unit was $499. To take the blower module out and clean it takes all of 1 hour.
I'm telling you this because they advertise how Honest this company is.
My recommendation is Buyer Beware!!
I did not and do not trust this company or their ethics!
I don't have a background in HVAC, but I know enough to tell when I'm being scammed.
In the middle of July our AC system went completely out, it's an old system so I knew I needed a new one, called Heatwave and Buddy came out he looked over our System and talked to us about our options and we told him our financial situation. And approved us for the rent to own option
That was on a Friday, and Tuesday by the end of the day we had cold air again, I highly recommend Heatwave great people who care about their customers.
X The plumber they sent was excellent! His name was Leon and he was very professional and has a great personality very accommodating and obviously loves what he does. Heat wave should make sure they hold onto this guy! When I call for future services I will be requesting him only. Overall an outstanding experience with the company and also their Plumber Leon.
Avoid at all cost! Poor install of a defective unit ( install may have caused defect ). Reused old copper in dirt and water from leaking unit. Reused low voltage wires that are aged from sun with exposed copper . Leaks cold air . Left a 1 1/2” x 18” gap for unfiltered air. They left fill valves exposed for whole storming weekend ( over sand and dirt ). Dan Billingsley, the owner has refused to talk with me. I have requested they remove their equipment and refund our money more than 2 dozen times. So far, 5 sleepless nights from the constant Drumming noise, and owner still refuses to talk with me! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

After hurricane Irma I came home to find my my house unscathed and with power but no AC. I called Heatwave and had a technician at my house the next morning. Dan was very friendly and informative and within days I had a new, more efficient unit at an affordable price. Great, fast service with knowledgeable technicians that really know how to take care of their customers. I will definitely be recommending Heatwave to any friends or family that have any ac issues!

I signed a contract with them June 17 2021
and I canceled this contract on the same day June 17 2021 (few hours later) after I received a better offer $4,000 less they offers me ,
I wet signed a loan cancelation agreement and email it to the same contact person that represent the company (Courtney O'Connell)
and I have a phone call confirmation from the sales reprehensive that I signed the offer with him confirming that I emailed the signed loan cancelation agreement to the company ,
I confirm with him and he is copied in the email as well,
I just received a letter from the lender that I missed two payment and they sent my loan to the collection department ,
I called the lender right away they mentioned that they send the money to the AC Company on June 18th 2021 next day I send them the cancelation and the AC Company never notify them (lender) about my cancelation and never refund the loan money tell now (3 months) they use the loan proceeds without any rights to do so putting me in a very bad situation ,
I will report this company to CFPB & BBB Rating & Accreditation
Arrived on time, worked diligently to get the system up and running, corrected ducts to ensure proper airflow, and stayed late to ensure that AC was functional that day.

Terrible customer service from the owner, Dan who came out for an estimate to replace HVAC unit. Appeared bothered that I already had a few estimates and that I wasn’t going to sign any contract today. I’ve had several other companies come out for estimates and have been very nice, know how to communicate with customers and Heatwave was the only rude company. Don’t even bother wasting your time with this company.

I had previously had another company put and was not happy with the wag the tech presented themselves. Matthew arrived within an hour of me making the call to Heatwave and was a breath of fresh air. In the forty years I've been on this earth I've never felt like someone was as knowledgeable or compassionate like Matthew was. Heatwave definitely has themselves a diamond right here. I scheduled an appointment with Heatwave for a 9 am - 12 pm window of arrival. When they called to confirm my appointment, they changed the window to 12 pm -3 pm. I called them, thinking this was a mix up, and received an unprofessional and argumentative response from their customer service representative, Krystal. She argued with my wife and said they would review the original call and give us a call back that evening. We received no return phone call that night but were called the day of our appointment to see if someone would be home at their 12 pm - 3 pm window. I called back and told Krystal that no one would be available as this was a mixup and we'd be going with a different company. I ended the phone call. Krystal, in true customer service fashion, called me back to let me know that I was wrong and she had indeed scheduled the correct time. I was fine looking for a different company, no problem. However, you called me back to argue your error after not reviewing the original phone call (like you said you would) and returning our phone call last night? Gross customer service.

They are worthless...Installed new ac in Dec 2020 and it has broken down 4 times since.Had problems to get them to come out and fix.Manager hid in his office and would not come and talk about getting problem resolved .Wouldn't recommend them to anyone
They charged $2000.00 to replace a part in my a/c unit and refuse to give me a receipt for the work!
I feel they were concerned I would find out how much they over charged me!

Great experience from start to finish. We had an aging Heat Pump system in our attic that wasn't keeping up. We called and had Kyle come out to discuss options for replacement. Can't say enough about that experience, he listened to our needs and found a solution that was perfect for our home. Didn't fell pushed and were able to talk through what we really needed. The pricing was competitive with the other bids we received and the equipment they offered was top notch. Didn't need to wait any longer to get this going. Install went great as advertised, guys showed up on time and worked efficiently in our space. Had to of been hot in the attic, but they didn't complain and were very respectful of our space. Ok so my a/c stopped working early September and i live in Florida, I hate being sweaty, I know nothing about a/c units so I called heatwave. Less than thirty minutes, tech was at my door. Professional Knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly honest and ready to go. Needless to say two hrs after my call, the house was cool again no hassle, no sales pitch, no big service charge, hands down best in town, these guys are the bees knees when it comes to ac and heating. Called heatwave to reinstall a water softener which I relocated from my old to new house. Plumbing was kept in place and only the in/out lines needed to be connected to the main water line. I was quoted $1,300 for this job!
Furthermore, their ad post said free estimates, that simply isn’t the case since they charge a mandatory $100 transportation/arrival fee.

STAY AWAY! If you have had work done by this company, PLEASE HAVE THEIR WORK CHECKED BY ANOTHER COMPANY so that you aren't paying for more repairs in a year or even less time. They do shoddy work and left my AC damaged inside and out and even visibly dented in two places with wires hanging out of it.
HeatWave Heating and Cooling was the fourth company to bid on a compressor replacement for my AC unit. They came in with the lowest bid and I moved forward with their service. During my experience with this company, I endured being told my AC unit couldn't be fixed after taking my money before starting the job. After calling and complaining to the office they made the technician come back out to my home to get the AC working. The disgruntled technician proceeded to further damage my AC unit by tinkering around with seemingly no clue and replacing part after part that I did not ask to be replaced and were fully operational before their service. I know this whole-heartedly because I had another company out within days just before the install and they checked every part of the unit.
I also have a written and verbal statement from the second company as well as an invoice for work that needs to be repaired due to the poor job of HeatWave. The technician ended up quitting on the spot in my backyard mid-service. That was quite a shock to me. They sent another tech out and he managed to get the unit up and running but only after all of this damage was already done and is still left there unfixed. I called out another company to check their “finished” work since I was uneasy with how the repair was handled and I had a feeling that something was not right; especially since they left a lot of nuts and bolts and caps and debris all over the place and I had a feeling those belonged somewhere inside the unit. The second party company confirmed that the AC unit is not operating properly completely due to HeatWave’s bad work. I paid quite a bit of money for poor service and shoddy work and when I tried to resolve the issue with HeatWave’s manager, I was told the unit was up and running and that is all they needed to fulfill their contract. They take no responsibility for all of the further damage they created.
I have filed a claim against HeatWave Heating and Cooling and I recommend anyone else having issue do the same. I also recommend that if you are not having issues, you go ahead and have the work checked by a second party before you do have issues down the road and have no documentation to show their faulty work.
In response to the company's poor response: Why not offer to look at it or fix it instead of trying to attack my character? I assure you I am 100% real, my story as you like to call it is 100% real and valid and is the reason I don't have money to just throw away, my complaints are 100% valid and backed up with proof. I have physical proof, audio proof, and estimates from other company proof. What more do you need? You've been reported to BBB and claims. I'd like to have settled with you, all you had to do was offer to come out and look at it to see what you can make right, but your customer support was one of the worst I've dealt with. Also, the original quote was $1,900 and I paid $1,500, so they only dropped the price by $400. They are outright lying.
I hired Heat Wave to repair my AC system that another company installed and abandoned. In Feb I hired Hern Heating and Air Conditioning to install a brand new HVAC system. It ran well for about 3 months before it started to not cool the house properly. After many calls to them, they abandoned working on it. I called Heat Wave and they immediately came out to check out the system. They figured out what was wrong in 1 day, and fixed the issue. I have since signed on with Heat Wave and they will be taking care of my HVAC system going forward. Dan the owner came out himself, I highly recommend that you hire them to do your HVAC needs.

This company I would not recommend to anyone at all even my worst enemy! They are desperate for business and call you two to three times every day if they get ahold of your phone #. What kind of plumbing business does this? Only someone that is completely illegitimate and thirsty for his many victims as they can get! NO THANK YOU.
Aaron was experienced, knowledgeable. efficient and helpful. He showed me how to operate the water softener, download the operator's manual and answered every Question--and I had a lot of questions. The office kept on top of my appointment, kept me updated and informed even in the middle of the hurricane. Very professional; I will definitely use them again.

I want to thank Dan and his crews , Nick ,Brandon ,Logan, don’t know the other guy from the first crew. We had our air replaced ,and in the process found out we had a water leak . After we got the water leak fixed we found the water had actually pulled the main trunk line down and Dan had his guys crawl under the trailer to repair it the air vent . It was not easy as it was a tight space and he had to shovel some to get in. I can not say enough good about these guys, very respectful and , professional . They went above and beyond to make sure we were back up and running. I highly recommend Heat Wave to anyone needing HVAC services . Thank you Dan .

My husband and I have had a horrible string of people coming to the house for service and taking advantage. We’ve spent thousands and have not been able to properly get our house cooling. Matthew came out on time and went through EVERYTHING with a fine tooth comb. Not only did he find the cause of the issue we’ve experienced for over a year (a wiring mishap) but he also showed us other areas we could improve upon. Thomas arrived on time and got to work right away. Although our service appointment was only for a tune up he tackled the job with enthusiasm and professionalism. Once he completed a thorough check up he provide a written report detailing the results. No big issues but he did provide some suggestions on tightening up our A/C system for better performance. I would recommend Heatwave anytime.

Dan came in and did a complete ac analysis on my 5 year old module home. Dan recommended increasing the celling vents to allow proper air flow and change from what turned out to be a 14 year old air handler with a larger (4ton) system. He was able to do a direct plug and play that saved me thousands. The 3 man installation team did a fantastic job and the house is unbelievably better the what wound have been from the home builder. Heatwave's service is seriously awesome. When my AC needed some maintenance and repair, their techs showed up on time, did a thorough job, and left my air conditioner working like a dream. Seriously, I couldn't be happier with the results!

This company is hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with. Their scheduling is awful (had schedule changed 4 times in one week) and after finally cancelling the service, which after getting a second opinion was completely unnecessary, they still billed me $2,000. After trying to contact billing to solve this issue, i left all information so as to have them call back and settle it, nobody called me back. It has been two weeks since then. I would NOT recommend this company to anybody, and if you do have them come to check your unit, I strongly advise getting a second opinion so you can verify that they are not trying to gouge you for unnecessary work. If I could give this company zero stars i would.

A nice gentleman by the name of Troy came over today as we signed up for a club membership about a month ago. Part of our membership includes 2 no-charge tune ups of our A/C system. He was prompt and cordial and willing to show us any and all potential issues with our system. We feel educated on what may come at us down the road. Being our system is quite old but still blowing cold, we will at some point install a new system and will use Heatwave to do it! Nice job Troy, way to represent a great company!

Had heatwave come out recently to do my moms duct work,dan the manager was the sales guy who came out, and I ended up paying 5 times more then any other company I called expecting them to do a good job. After installation my mom was complaining about a lot of dust coming through my vents, so I had my brother go up the other day to check it and found that half of the duct work was kept the same. I paid more then 15 grand to have all of it replaced and what I got was taken advantage of. Probably thought my mom wouldn't check or wouldn't notice but we found the problem. Would never recommend I mean never recommend heat wave to any one who is look to install.
Also called and asked to speak to the manage, never got a call back which from previous comments of other people didn't expect to.

I purchased a water heater and the process was simple and easy. A few months later I had an issue with my water that I thought wasn’t the water heater but it was not It wast my water softener. Buyer beware. Gosh, I had wished I checked Yelp reviews before hiring these folks! Seems like others have experienced the same unprofessionalism and lousy service. Believe it or not, I have never written anyone a negative review, but both Dustin Harvick (Comfort Advisor) nor Dan (Owner) have refused to return my numerous calls and emails and leave me no choice. I was hoping this would motivate them to be professional and just plain courteous, but I can see from other reviews that is unlikely. Dustin is very personable and seems to know his business, but the company behind him did not install the ductwork in accordance with his design plans and I can only assume that has something to do with the system still not working properly.
I can't say enough about the care and service provided by Dustin Harvick! After having 2 other AC companies NOT solve my problem, Dustin took the time to really check out my system and made sure, twice, that the system was working properly before leaving.
He also created a systematic detailed plan for all the variables that 'could' be the cause of the problem.
Heatwave installed an air conditioner and handler for me. They removed my old one and replaced it with a brand new one. They worked with my schedule and we’re absolutely the best. When it comes to plumbing problems, I always rely on Heatwave. Their plumbing service is top-notch, and their technicians are knowledgeable and friendly. They've fixed several issues in my home, and I'm always impressed with their work.
Leon repaired our hot water heater, and not only did he do a good job, but he even put in extra time and went out of his way to make sure everything was done right. I would highly recommend him again and I'm satisfied with the work he did, and not only that, he was a great guy, and we've become good friends. I hope his boss realizes what a good worker he is.. I would highly recommend him again to anybody that needs repair work.
Heat Wave came to my house today to do a tune-up after a year in service. The tech guy, Logan, was here at the prescribed time and did his tune-up process. I am incredibly upset with the poor customer service. My husband has made numerous appointments only to have them cancelled. Today was our THIRD scheduled appointment in a matter of weeks which was cancelled. He sat at our empty house which we have been out of due to flooding waiting for over three hours during the scheduled time of 12-3. He gets a call AFTER 3 cancelling the appointment. This is completely unacceptable. He has taken days off from work to be at the house only to have it cancelled and then today he sat at our house working waiting for someone to be there. We understand that emergencies come up but you should have enough employees to cover those and still make the scheduled appointments.
***The owners response is a LIE. My husband called YOU at at 12:55pm with no answer, then 1pm no answer, then he finally spoke to someone at 1:03pm confirming appointment from 12-3. Didn’t hear from anyone until 328pm. He has no missed calls from you and neither do I. So sorry but you are lying.

I heard of this company through the radio and I thought the price of their tune ups for the heating and cooling units was a good deal. The technician was very professional, he provided us with an additional list of things that he could be done to improve our unit. He quoted us a price for a UV light double of what other companies offer but since he was already working on it; we decided to go ahead installed the UV light. When he left, he presented the screen to pay for the job and did not go over the total cost. In addition, he took the paper where he had written the quoted price of the UV light. After two days, I called the office to request a receipt, the office sent it to me via e-mail. After revising the invoice, I noticed that they have charged me $70 dollars more of the quoted price, I called the office three times, they have not returned my calls yet. I will never use them again, and I would like to advise people to verify their invoices before paying for any services provided by Heatwave.

I can’t speak to their installation but… My husband and I accidentally double booked AC install estimates. I understand this is awkward but its over 95 degrees in our house and wanted to get it fixed ASAP. The AC purchase is expensive and we wanted to make sure we had plenty of estimates. The technician that was here did not look inside the AC unit like every other company that was out here. He talked poorly about the technicians from the other company that were here. He also used the insensitive word “retarded” during our conversation and told me I was wrong about my own HOA rules. Their quote was double the price of the 6 other estimates we got despite not even looking at the inside of the unit! It left a very bad taste in my mouth and we will not be going with this company.

The installation of the tank less hot water heater was a success. Florjan was very professional and help in explaining what was going on. There were some unexpected obstacles which he handled very well. The only complaint I have was the cutting into my dry way. It was never explained to me that if they needed to cut into the dry way for the installation, that I would be responsible for getting the holes repaired myself. Installation a success but the dry wall repair still in progress.
Despite paying for a Club membership to receive reduced pricing in June 2021, we have been unable to get the company to provide a copy of the contract. During the last service requested, office staff were unable to find our contract, took down my name, address and email incorrectly after repeated 3 times, and dispatched the technician to the wrong address. After getting the issues with HVAC resolved I again requested the contract. Upon not receiving it as indicating I would, I called three times seeking to speak to the office manager or owner. Neither was ever available in the office and I never received a return call. We are at the end of September and still no contract.
The technicians were responsive and nice quality work (only reason they even get a star) but prices are still high even with club membership. If only I could refer to the contract that they never have provided.......
I called several companies to come take a look at my hot water heater which was leaking. I am new to the area and wasn't sure who to call. Heatwave was the only respinsive company and they sent Leon out right away. Leon was very professional and knowledgeable. He inspected the water heater and came to the same conclusion that I did....a replacement was needed. He came out the following evening, working around MY schedule, and knocked the job out of the park. Leon did a fantastic job and explained everything he was doing. I highly recommend Heatwave and, specifically, Leon!

Had a UV light installed in my HVAC system and paid $700.00 dollars I was weary when I was given price, The technician was already there so I went along with the install. After the install was completed and technician was gone I did some searching and found the light and price.
You can see from the picture below what the light coast. Wow that is one hell of a profit margin Around $400.00 dollars or so to install for twenty minutes of work not bad.
I called and was given several quotes by local HAVC company's all were around $470.00 dollars.
I tried to speak to management over a two day period and never was called back just ignored. Horrible management at HEATWAVE. I guess they are all about the money and not the consumer. I will tell you that I was given a small discount but really. I will probably never be given a call back and some type of compensation. People beware!!!!!
In regards to the owners comments. First of all I was never given a call back by anyone at Heatwave and I did not call back the day after for any discounts, I called to speak to a manger about the pricing. Secondly I had a second opinion conducted on 2/17/2021 by a local company and upon inspection of my HVAC system they found no leak, after the technician looked for the traces of UV dye and conducted a test with refrigerant leak detector he concluded that there simply was no leak. He concluded that what more than likely happened was when the system was installed it was not equalized as the condenser was pre charged at the factory and only holds a predetermined charge. So to the owner of Heatwave yes you were transparent, But bread crumb's usually lead to the full loaf simply meaning fair prices lead to a long customer company relationship. FYI the technician conducted the inspection at no charge. Since then I have recommended this company to many in my circle and they have A++++++++++++ service.

I called Heatwave this afternoon after an air conditioning unit that was installed in 2018 stopped blowing cold air. Your AC technician, Dan, was absolutely wonderful! Our issue was one that had to be dealt with over several days due to parts and the long holiday weekend. Dan kept us updated and our unit charged, so that we had a cool house throughout this entire difficult! It is so wonderful to have an employee like Dan! We knew that we were in excellent hands!

Rob was awesome from my first call. Dan when he came to my home was a pleasure he looked at my unit knew it’s would cost more to fix it than to replace it. He did not try to sell me any thing extra that I did not need just to make a dime. I was with out air for a week before Dan showed up 95 degrees in my home all day it was unbearable. Dan was there on a Thursday and had my unit delivered and installed the next day Friday. Before Mother’s Day I was impressed on the quick turn around time. Andre and his helper I did not get his name. Where both super professional and nice guys when they came to do the install. They where here for a while doing my install it was not a easy task. And it being Friday , they did not try to rush the job to go home. They stayed untill the job was done right and I was happy with the install and untill the inspector signed off on it. They cleaned up behind themselves very well. My home is now nice and cool my family is happy and so am I. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Heatwave replaced our AC and did an outstanding job! They communicated from the start very well - we didn't feel like we were being sold to! I wanted a total system for our home and that's exactly what was delivered. We received multiple communications prior to the install. The installation team showed up and was very professional, and diligent during the install. The unit we purchased is technological advanced and their was one minor issue. Dan the owner of the company took my call at 8:15pm on a Thursday to address the issue - I was very impressed with this, and even more impressed that he and his team showed up the next morning at 8AM to address and ultimately correct the issue-no fault of Heatwave. As a fellow business owner you just don't find this attention to detail and follow through. Thank you to Heatwave and its team, I would highly recommend this company!

I got four estimates for plumbing repairs and water heater install and went with Heatwave.; I do not choose solely on price. Dave is very knowledgeable and gives lots of examples for clarity, Florjan is confident, competent and an unforeseen obstacle at end left him focused and calm. The administrative side is quick and friendly. They run a tight system.
I called them out for preventive service as we are going into summer.
The tech came up with a total of $5,666 that should be done to my unit that was working fine. $4,901 is I joined the club. Obvious the tech was annoyed when I didn't take the bait as I'm sure he works on commission to sell people of things they don't need.
Tech was on time, professional, knowledgeable and courteous
Troy did a good job explaining everything he does and made good recommendations.
Joshua came out today on time and very informative and took care of the problem within 2 hours. He provided different options for us. I am very pleased with him as well as heatwave. Thank You so much! You guys give me a peace of mind.

BEWARE of this company. I almost never write reviews, but I felt the need to inform any potential customers of this company's deceitful business practices and poor customer service. One of the technicians in St. Petersburg, Dustin, came to my home and told me my 7 year old air conditioning parts were no longer under warranty and I needed new ones. He also upsold me ongoing cleaning packages at the time indicating the discounts applies because of the packages would reduce the total cost, and I regretfully agreed to the $1,000 in charges. After that work was done, the unit still required additional parts (a motor), which Dustin indicated was also not under warranty, and would cost an additional almost $500.
At this point, I was fortunate enough to find a reputable company to look at the a/c unit. This company identified that all parts are actually still under warranty, and charged less than $200 for the motor, as well as fixing the poor work that was previously done by Heatwave.
Repeated calls to Laura in their corporate office for the owner, Dan, to return my calls resulted in no communication and poor customer service.
STAY AWAY FROM HEATWAVE AT ALL COSTS!!!! I would highly recommend another company, Heaven's Breeze, for trustworthy and respectful service.

They came out, supposedly cleaned the AC coils, and replaced the blower motor in my AC unit in January. It didn't get really cool in the apartment but initially worked well enough. Within two months it wasn't working at all. At which point they said I needed an entirely new unit that would cost almost $5,000. Then charged me again for a service visit. Why not tell me I needed a new unit the first time. Also, the AC repair company I used said the coils were never cleaned. I'm definitely not a fan of this company. They're not the worst I've ever seen but they're certainly not good either.

At best this company is incompetent, at worst they are dishonest. The short story is Heatwave charged me $1,380 to replace a fan and motor on my AC, when the problem was with the compressor. They then tried to get me to spend another $7,100 with them by telling me the compressor had no warranty and that my AC was 15 years old, both things that were not true as confirmed by the second opinion I got from a more reputable company who was able to complete the work at no charge to me... due to the warranty. When I tried to confront Heatwave about this they completely blew me off. For those interested in the details, my complaint with the BBB is listed below:
On 10/4/21 Heatwave sent a technician to my home to investigate my AC unit, which was only working intermittently. Prior to their arrival, my roommate had replaced the capacitor, but it still would only run intermittently. Dustin from heatwave diagnosed that the fan and motor would need replacing, with no mention of the capacitor; a technician came to replace the fan and motor the next day (10/5) for $1,380. As soon as the technician left the AC stopped working entirely and Dustin would not return my messages.
The next day (10/6) the receptionist had no idea were the technicians were and promised to call me back, which she did not. When I called again she said they would come by between 3-6pm, which they did not. When I called again she said they would come at 9 the next morning (10/7), which they did not. I called Dustin who said he called me 3-4 times, but I had zero missed calls and was with my phone all morning. Then he told me the capacitor was wired incorrectly, causing the compressor to seize, and that it would be $3,500 for a new one, since the part was not under warranty, and that since my system was from 2006, that I should consider replacing the entire thing for $7,100.
This led me to get a second opinion who told me improper wiring of the capacitor could not cause the compressor to seize, found a warranty to replace the compressor at no cost to me, confirmed that my AC was installed in 2019, not 2006, and showed me that Heatwave had forced in a wrong screw to install the fan, making it impossible to work on in the future.
When I confronted Heatwave about this, I was repeatedly told that someone would get back to me, only to be completely ignored. After a week of this, I was finally able to get through to a manager who said he would credit me $200, but would need to take it up with the GM for anything else; he promised to call me back by 10/15, which he did not, and the credit never cleared. The following week I was blown off each time I called.
They got here around 45minutes later then planned.
But the installer then a very good job, clean up after they were done.
It cost a little more then I had hope, but the amount was about right for the job they did.
Dan from Heatwave came out today to service our heat pump. The system was barely throwing out even luke warm air. He was on time and very courteous. He checked the entire system out and narrowed it down to an issue with the thermostat and control system. He had us up and running in less than 15 minutes. Exceptional customer service and communication. Highly recommended if you are in need of HVAC service.

Needed a bbq grill hooked up to natural gas stub for outdoor kitchen. Heatwave came right out the next morning. Turns out the grill was a LP grill not a NG grill so Heatwave had to modify it. They had to go get parts but were back by lunchtime. They modified the grill and had it installed in no time. They were polite and neat and cleaned up after themselves. Thought it was a little expensive but they were here for most of the day so all in all I am very satisfied with their service.

Dan and John are professionals and experienced in their respective fields. My husband Norman used Dan's expertise to troubleshoot the gas line on our outdoor grill. Also, John helped me fix my AC hot air problem. Every technician is highly respectful of our home and wears shoe covers and masks as requested. It was a pleasure working with both of them. Don't call them, they will scam you. I paid for a tune up for an old unit, but they are pushy to sell you their annual plan. Tech gave me a long list of all wrong things he found, included, of course, special add ons. An hour after leaving, my unit stopped working. I had to stay with no air conditioned for the rest of the afternoon and night. Tech came in the morning to reset the very old connector that could fail at any time. I called Air Zone to get a second opinion, and this experienced man told me that the person who did my tune up did just an inspection to find things wrong and try to sell. He went outside and showed me how this tech from Heatwave did not clean my coils outside. He also advise me not to pay in cash but to use a credit card. I felt so upset when I looked at the unit outside. Be aware of scams.
Scheduler Mercedes is extremely rude! They repaired our AC 1 month ago and it's not working she said she had no one to send and we'd have to wait TWO DAYS for service because their tech is busy. No emergency person no one on call. I said that they had repaired it and that we bought their service package and it is 82° in our home and we have children and pets. Her response was You're not the only one with children in Tampa Bay. When I insisted that she find someone (I never cursed), she said Well I'm just a Scheduler and I'm going to disconnect this call because my technician is busy and I'm not going to argue with you and HUNG UP ON ME! Now they're not answering their phone. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
Heatwave was responsive, informative, honest and helpful in every was imaginable. My hot water heater died August 14 and Dave, great guy, was on scene within 2 hours and very professionally and painlessly walked me through the entire process. Heatwave provided a temp unit until they could install a new one which surprised and delighted me. That level of dedication to service is hard to find these days. The technician, Florian, who installed the unit was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and very considerate. He answered any and all questions I had with the utmost professionalism and his installation of my new water heater made the old system look like it had been put in by rank amateurs. I would not hesitate to utilize Heatwave for any future service. I highly recommend Heatwave for any service needs!

Ryan, my salesman was thorough and was able to meet my needs. Out of 5 companies I got a quote from he was the only one to look in the attic at the ducts. Rodney and Leo did an awesome job installing my new system and it works great. The hot room in the house and the cold room in the house are now the same temp as the rest of the house. Rude to us, refused us service, and hung up on us even though we purchased their service plan, because it was a weekend and they were busy....in response to your reply, she did NOT offer Sunday, but said they'd call us on Sunday to set us up for Monday. You also failed to address how rude she was and that she just hung up. Not to mention the plan we purchased should cover emergency service, which you're refusing.

I have used them 5 times now, their work are shoty. They do not warranty their work at all, and blame other things when you call them to come back, and they charge you to come back as well to diagnose the problem, even though they are the ones who came out 2 months ago for the repair. I highly recommend to find someone else.

I called Heat wave as I was having AC issues and condensate was pouring all over my floors. Scott showed up, introduced himself and got right to work. He identified the problem, thoroughly explaining what the issue was, why it happens, and what I could do to prevent it in the future. He did not try to upsell, but gave me what I needed, added recommendations for future preventative care, and items to watch so I prevent a future potential emergency. This is my now go to AC repair and maintenance company and can not recommend them more.
Called for first-time service on AC unit that was not working. They confirmed appointment time on day of service, and showed up right at the start of their projected arrival window. Technician Tory Blasus was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He diagnosed the problem quickly and made the necessary repair. Overall great experience!

I did a chat on the website to get an estimate on a new HVAC install. After getting all my info. Booked the time slot from 3-6pm and then the rep is telling me it $100 to $125 for weekends and after hours. Do you agree to the charges? Are you kidding me. You want me to pay for an estimate? Put that on your website and start the conversation with we don't do free estimates Disappointing and waist of time. Your company just lost $10k.

The technician that came out was knowledgeable re my issues with water heater. I was getting an estimate. He was able to get the pilot light on temporarily, and provided me with many options for future work.
His name was AARON beagly early which worked out very well for me, professional and responsive to my needs. The office staff was very courteous, professional, and accommodating! I wanted to say how impressed I was with technician Leon. He came out to my house a few days ago to connect my GE gas cooktop after another company had failed to do so correctly. After contacting Teco Gas to make sure our pressure going into the house was at a correct level Leon came back on Christmas Eve to make sure we were satisfied with the install of our cooktop. Great customer service.

Company installed a new A/C on July 20 2020. I had to call for service 10 times. After all repairs and compressor replaced A/C start working properly.
I asked to replace A/C, but the owner of the company never response on my e-mail. Technician also recommended to replace. Now A/C working, but with additional equipment, because installation was not properly.
I never have permit from the city. If permit is not coming, I will call city.
Tech Erik was exceptionally good this a.m.
AC tune up this time.
Erik consciousness, professional, hard working, explained needed replacement part, super good.

My HVAC needed a tune up. The two young men who did the service were knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. They explained everything they were doing which included cleaning the inside and outside unit, flushing out the drain line, cleaning the pump, checking the thermostat, and ensuring the temperature coming out of the vents was within the correct range. I will definitely be using this company for all future tune ups and/or repairs!
