Wanted over 481 to repair a simple valve leak under sink. Tried to sell my wife a membership with annual fee and discounted quote to $381. When she said no, they asked how much she wanted to pay and then tried to negotiate to $331. she said no and just paid the $89 service call fee to make them go away. They returned to the house 15 min later and kept ringing doorbell. Not acceptable or professional business practices.

We overall, had a fine experience however when the job was done let me let you know. They think the job is done. Period. So they replaced our full sewer line thru our home. Then at the end of it they back filled it with dirt and cement. They did not even begin to attempt to level it. When we called the company we were told the job was completed to our specifications. So basically a big huge we are done with you, don't contact us anymore. Well we still have to install flooring over this cement job, and because it's SO BAD the flooring company's, and we've now called 4!!! The cheapest one wants an additional 1200 to level the absolute mess this company left us with which again, was done to their specifications. So on top of the $38,000 we paid this company, we get to add an additional $1,200 onto it cause they can't even level cement. And they couldn't even be bothered to remove the rug they poured cement onto, so yea thats a whole thing too.
I've used Ben Franklin on three occasions for plumbing repairs in the 3 years since we bought our home. They are always professional, on time and up front about costs. I always feel like I understand the cause of what we are fixing and not just that it needs to be done. The most recent trip today resulted in some less than optimal news, but Thomas guided me through what we were going to do to find and repair our leak. I appreciated his honest and straight forward communication. It is nice to work with people who are focused on helping you fix the problems most relevant to you. I'll continue to work with this company because their people repeatedly show me a customer focused culture.

Took 5 hours to install one toilet and was talking on phone in between and over charged for time .He didn't tell honeowner about the whole plan and price . His name was Brain. He should ask to speak to himeowner not just anyone in the house. Irresponsible.

Very happy with the work Thomas Robertson did for me in fixing an issue causing two of my sinks to backup into my tub. Living in an old house that was a recent flip, Thomas was able to navigate through the odd way it was piped, while being incredibly patient with me asking every plumbing related question I could think of. As a new home owner I have to commend him on not only solving my current issue, but leaving me confident for the small things I can fix on my own (and knowing when to call him for the stuff I shouldn't touch). Will use Thomas again for any issues I have moving forward, and will recommend him to anyone who needs a plumber!

Had a nice experience overall. Would have given five stars if things were put back how they were before their arrival. Seems people have trouble doing this, regardless of the company. I was taught to leave things better than you found them, it's the respectful thing to do. Maybe I'll learn to do a full walk around before folks leave. I also find it extremely gross that they mark up the cost of the drain pan by more than 500%.

Thomas Robertson was on time and extremely knowledgeable. He replaced my garbage disposal that had totally stopped working as requested. He also discussed the water filtration system with me as requested. He went over the different options available and cost for each so I was able to make an informed decision. He was very friendly and made sure I completely understood everything that was being done and answered all of my questions. I will definitely be using him anytime I need a plumber.
I don't like negativity; personnel were polite, just the financial part not for me. Started high and went down a bit and then spoke with someone (felt more like buying a car than having plumbing repair). They may suit others fine, just not my style. We paid the fee to come to us and chose another plumber for the work.

Put in an online request for a service call for a leaking toilet. Got a call back fairly quickly which was all good, however when I explained that the property was a rented property the company declined to move further with any help. It was stated that Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is not accepting any service calls from rented properties at this time. Honestly, my question is why? There's no difference in doing a service call to a personal home vs a rented one. Really awkward in my opinion. Was hopeful to use these guys as they are highly rated, but I suppose business will be taken elsewhere. I would reconsider the stance of not servicing rented properties.
Thomas was punctual, professional and pleasant. He did a thorough inspection of our plumbing and gave recommendations as needed. The plumbing job he did for us was perfect! We plan on additional work in January and will be asking for Thomas by name!

Tankless water heater sporadically not heating. Ben Franklin sent technician Adrian same day and although they only install natural gas tankless heaters, Adrian fixed old plumbing shut off valve, installed a scale inhibitor and virtually hooked up my electric tankless heater in just over 2 hours.

Our service rep was Daniel who has been here before to repair toilets and replace all 3 bathroom faucet fixtures. The water heater broke after 16 years on a Thursday evening, I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and they put out the service for the next day. Daniel arrived around 4pm and removed, cleaned and installed new water heater. The service was amazing and we now have hot water with a product guaranteed and under warranty. Highly recommend this company.

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is the most on time, thorough, courteous, & clean plumbing company I have ever used in the 20 years of employing the services of plumbing companies in the Tampa Bay area, many of whom did unsatisfactory repairs, of which I had to get rectified by Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. And, they always give a 100% accurate estimate before any work performed & never pressure you to do any work you feel may not need to be done, while explaining the possible consequences of not getting the work done, as opposed to having the plumbing services completed. Their prices are competitive with other plumbing companies & they have an awesome service contract which provides great discounts when plumbing repairs are needed. And trust me, the chemical filled hard water in Florida is super stressful on the pipes, faucets, toilets, & other plumbing fixtures in homes & businesses. I am sure their are other fine & reputable plumbing companies in the Tampa Bay area, but for me, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is the best.

Bill is an extremely great person who works for a very good and reliable company. Our clog and leaks are gone!
I called this company to fix what I thought to be a water leak after running the washer machine for the first time moving into a newly purchased house, after considerable amount of time the Tech. Couldn’t identify the problem so he ran a 10 minute pressure test and billed me for $260. Two month after I found out the the problem is with the washer drain as the water backs up causing water leak. I called them back to tell them the problem cause which they missed, when Scott the tech arrived he said $233 to just open up the wall ( 2 feet X 2 feet ) and it could be between $500 to $1500 to replace the pipe. I had to pay another fee for service call.
He went on to say that he works on multi million dollars homes and he is not handy man, he works as a professional.
The thing this company professional at the most is to scam customers . Highly not recommended company.
They charged me $290 without any work done at all to fix the simple water leakage !!

Tom was absolutely phenomenal. Although I was inquiring about a sink remodel he did a fully inquiry of my house and checked for anything that might be amiss. As someone who has had many contractors at their house as of recent, the shoe covers to prevent my home from dirt and grim did not go unnoticed. Lastly he gave recommendations to my home that he thought could help preserve the plumbing and longevity of my equipment. Guest room toilet leaked a bit of water after the Christmas, I could fix it myself, worried that there could be something else, other than the wax ring, don't want to mess up holiday, so I contacted Benjamin Franklin, they came the 2nd day, which is good, 2 guys with a truck, they took it off and there was a small paddle there, they cleaned it up and installed a new wax ring ($7 home depot part), with 30mins, they fixed it and Charged me almost $500, I also told them bath tub sink stop not working, they looked at it could not fix it, said it has to tore down the dry wall so i called that off, in the end, almost $500, Service is good, they came, and fixed it, work was done very well, but it is too expensive, i knew plumber is expensive.....so if it was you, are you going to call them again or find some body else? you know the answer...
