Absolute A+ for customer service, experience, and customer satisfaction!!! I contacted JVL Plumbing this past Saturday evening. My toilet was severely clogged and I could not figure out the issue. Therefore I had to result in an on call plumbing service. If you ever have a plumbing issue small or large please reach out to them. Very detailed and followed up with me to ensure all was well with their services provided!!!!

James is my go to plumber. First time - life saver - fixed kitchen sink faucet during Christmas holiday. Also changed shower/bathtub antiquated fixtures. Most recently changed washtub faucet set. House built 1956 and he takes out the old, and puts in the new!

James was very knowledgeable and understood exactly how to solve my problem. When he finished the job he left everything very clean. I highly recommend James!

JVL plumbing was a great find in my time of need he was on time and exactly what i need for my bathroom issues and solve the problem within minutes and came back later and installed my brand new toliet and its been better days ever since

I called on James to replace an outdoor hosebib. He was very professional and responsive via text messages and phone calls, and provided a rough estimate over the phone. James updated me the day of my appointment with his expected arrival time and arrived exactly on time. The service I received was excellent. James explained everything he did and why he did it without me even asking. He even cleaned up prior to leaving. I would definitely call him back if needed and would recommend him to anyone in need of a plumber.

Update October 2020 - Since my original review I have called JVL Plumbing two more times and much to my surprise, I stillI received the same excellent service as I did the very first time.

James was very professional and came to my daughters rescue. She was living in a rental house and the water was streaming down into her bathroom. Being a high risk pregnancy she was in unsafe living conditions. James came to get rescue a true angel. I live in St Thomas USVI and was helpless to do anything. I highly recommend James for any of your plumbing needs.

Mr. James Lewis responded to my urgent need to get 4 new toilets and a powder room vanity installed. I explained my situation of needing the work done immediately so I could rent the property. James came out that same day and next he came and installed my toilet. It's an older house so he ran into unlevel floors in 2 bathrooms. He recommended a flooring guy and the was repaired. James came back and completed the job. I've dealt with many a plumbers over the years and James was honest and extremely reasonable. James has done several repairs for me over the last couple of years. I’ve found him to be very responsive and thorough. Overall, I’ve had a great experience with him.

I needed hot water valves installed for my sinks and shampoo bowls in a commercial building. They were able to come out the next day! They were on time and provided quality service. James went above and beyond what we expected and I will definitely use this plumbing service again.

I had JVL come out again to install my shampoo bowls and again the service was amazing. He even helped me understand my hot water heater system and fixed my toilet. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for quality affordable service.

I used JVL plumbing (James Lewis & Company) on Aug. 27, 2020, to install a new toilet, remove an old toilet & to fix a faulty shut-off valve. I highly recommend this company to anyone in need of excellent plumbing services. If you want great service, great communication, a fair price and most importantly, quality work completed, you must use this company. It's so challenging trying to find hard-working, honest companies these days, but I'm so glad that I've found one. I will be using this company again for future plumbing needs and I strongly suggest if you're reading this, you should too!

What a great experience with JVL; responsive, professional and knowledgeable and friendly. It sucks when you are paying someone to do work in your home and they are not friendly. My water heater was leaking for about a week, and didn't want to call someone who would over charge me or try to upsell me on something. James and his partner kept me informed at every step of the way, they answered all of my questions and were happy to have me watch them work. James has followed up with twice since the work was done to see if all is well. JVL is now MY plumber. I highly recommend them.

I hired James to do several jobs for me. He fixed a main water pipe added a backflow preventer with a new shut-off valve. He installed a gas dryer for me and fixed a busted cold and hot water plumbing for a washer at a rental property. James is professional, always honest and fair. Responsive, provided same day service to unclog kitchen sink and leak from dishwasher. Followed up a week later to see how my kitchen sink was running. I would utilize his service again if needed.

James is excellent. Our water heater broke over Labor Day weekend. He came out early on Labor Day, picked up a new water heater for us, and replaced it. He's extremely professional and kind. He was texted and face timing with me late Sunday night when we discovered the water leaking all over our basement. I will call James whenever I need a fast, competent, responsive plumber.

I highly recommend JVL Plumbing. Some companies claim to deliver 24/7 service, but often times send you to a voicemail. I needed JVL Plumbing for an Emergency late in the evening and they showed up on short notice and delivered excellent service for a very reasonable price!

My experience with JVL was great. He was on time, helpful and took his time to figure out my issue and also followed up a week after. I would definitely recommend, especially as a black owned business.

I would just like to let everyone know of the great service received. My toliet was running and ran my bill up in the $$$$, while I was away. So of course started googling trying to find a plumber. Everyone i called had no availability until 2 days out and asked for an upfront consultation for a $75 and up. Then I came across James's number(JVL Plumbing) and I appreciated that he responded right away and offered sameday service even though he was busy and had a full schedule. He actually walked me through trouble shooting which saved me consultation that most places were requiring $$$ and gave me a fair pricing. He was flexible with scheduling late since I didnt get home until after 6pm. He even discovered that toliet was wobble and the wood underneath was getting wet, because the previous installation didn't seat the toliet properly over the pipe that saved me thousands in ceiling damage. He even included fixing it in the previous price that was quoted at no extra cost. Alot of people just look for money, he is actually passionate and knowledgeable about his craft. Thanks again, a forever customer.

I called JVL up and told him the problem and he walked me through it and I had explained to him that I had some plumbing skills and I diagnostic the problem already so I just didn't have the proper tools that was needed to complete the work so mr. James came through with a K5 snack and unclogged the water line so I would like to say thank you for helping me out may you be blessed in your business.

Needed a drain pan for the washing machine installed on the weekend. Guys showed up and did a great job work, definitely recommend.

We needed some water lines moved to be able to open up a wall. We had worked with James before and we were very happy we could work with him again, on short notice. James did an excellent job, took time to check a faucet afterwards, and followed up a few days later to check if we were satisfied with the work. We definitely are!

James was such a professional and just an extremely pleasant person. He picked the garbage disposal up and did not charge me to do that. He quoted me a very reasonable rate as compared to three other companies I called. He cleaned up afterwards and took the old disposal with him so I didn’t have to get rid of it. I would use JVL again and highly recommend this company.

I had a leaky shower faucet, leaking shut off valves, leaking sink, and clogged sinks and drains. He was able to diagnose all the issues and fix them quickly and efficiently. Plumbing is expensive so don't expect to pay under $100 but he ensures his work holds up so you don't have to worry about the issue anymore.. so Yea he's pretty legit 👌🏽

Called James and he came out same day. He changed out the diverter in the bathroom of an older building. It was a bit challenging but he never got frustrated or seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. Job went into a second day and he called and texted of his arrival time and actually beat me there.
Price was right... I'll definitely use him again.

We needed the hard pipe that was connected to our old gas stove replaced with a flexible one to fit the new stove.
