My wife and I have had a few emergencies at our home, including a leaky shower socket, and Abe responded very quickly and fixed the problem in no time at all. At this point, he's replaced our old shutoff valve, pipes to exterior faucets, shower faucets and fixed a blockage in our kitchen between the dishwasher and garbage disposal. There's no problem he can't solve and he's the first to call in the area for plumbing.

Abe is a fantastic plumber. Twice we have had other companies tell us, after unsuccessfully trying to snake a clog in a drainage pipe below our finished basement floor slab, that the only solution was to jackhammer the slab up and replace the damaged section of pipe. Both times we called Abe in for a second opinion and he was able to snake the clog clear. He has tons of experience which informs his work, which allows him to find solutions others miss. Like other reviewers said, don't feel like he is upselling me at all. I find his prices to be fair- perhaps slightly above others, but you really get what you pay for in terms of effectiveness and experience. I'm not letting my husband call anybody else again for our plumbing needs! ;-)

I broke off the outdoor spigot trying to repair a leak, shut off valve wouldn't shut off completely and neither would the main home shut off valve. (All originals from 1954). Abe came to my rescue and while he was here I had him replace the other outside spigot, add another and replace the main shut off and add a pressure control valve. All done professionally and quickly and he didn't mind me observing and asking questions. Definitely recommend Abe!

Abe has come out to our house twice now for different plumbing issues and we've had excellent experiences both times. The first time was on a weekend and the second was in the evening and he came out the same day both times (within a couple hours the second time). He was professional, courteous and talked me through everything that he was doing. He wanted to make sure that I understood what was involved in the process rather than just handing me a bill when he was done. He also advised me on how to fix it myself in the future.

The price was very reasonable, especially considering he came out on a weekend and at the last minute in the evening (he was here until 7:30 tonight, he actually just left). I called yesterday (Friday) and Abe called me back right away, asked about my issues (all non-emergency) and said he would come the very next day which was a Saturday. He was very clear about the cost for each problem (sink drain not draining, leaky faucet, old water valves, toilet flapper not closing) after checking the problem but before performing any work. He fixed all my issues and I am a very satisfied customer.

As owners of a 35+ year old house, we have found ourselves in regular need of plumbing services lately. Luckily, we discovered Abe a couple years ago; he is the most dependable contractor we've ever dealt with. He always answers our calls no matter when; is polite and courteous - we're treated like his most important customer. In addition to being 100% reliable, he will not leave a job until he is satisfied the problem is resolved. Abe also guarantees all his work but we've never had to have him fix the same thing twice. Becoming a customer of Abe's will definitely give you peace of mind when it comes to plumbing.

He even quoted a price on the phone.Our garbage disposal was leaking and we ended up needing a new one. He installed the new one and my husband asked if he'd look at a sink in our master bathroom . He fixed that as well. I placed the call right before 1pm and he arrived, repaired both things and was gone by 2pm. I was amazed! He was fast and professional. I had an emergency toilet shut-off valve replacement done by Abe's plumbing and my experience was excellent. I woke up this morning to a massive leak in my living room/dining room area. After catching my breath and being told by another plumber they could come tomorrow, Abe from Abe's plumbing was out immediately and diagnosed the leaky pipe and had it fixed in less than an hour an a half. Called Abe during a storm. He came out at midnight - replaced the broken sump pump and remapped the associated indoor pvc piping. Verified system was discharging outside and gave me tips on a better way to drain. Couldn’t be happier. He really got me out of a bind at an inconvenient time. Highly recommend.

I've used Abe's services twice. He explains what is needed -- and what is not needed -- and does good work. I trust his work and his recommendations. I don't know whether his work is the cheapest because I did not seek comparisons, but I have confidence in it.

This is the second time I've used Abe. The first time he fixed a stopped up toilet and he was very nice and provided helpful information and was reasonably priced. I called today because my faucet stopped working and he walked me through how to check to see if there was a clog, and there was! Crisis averted after he helped me over the phone!! Had a short in my septic ejector pump. Abe came the same day and was able to replace it and get the new one working right away. He was polite and I believe reasonability price also answered some questions that I had about other parts of my plumbing system. If I have any other issue with plumbing Abe will be my first call.

Shower tub would not drain on a Sunday. What a way to end the weekend. Looked up yelp and saw Abe’s plumbing. Was thinking who would come out at 5 pm on a Sunday. Within 10 minutes, I received a call back from Abe’s plumbing and within 30 minutes, he was at the house. Fixed out bathtub clog and the price was not too bad. Very impressive with the responsiveness and the within 30 minutes Sunday service. I don’t usually write review but felt like I had to pass this along to the local google community. Abe’s Plumbing is now on my phone’s contact list.

Needed a backed-up sink unclogged, and knew that this ongoing problem was due to a flexible pipe (not up to code) used when the bathroom was updated years ago. Called the 2 plumbers I'd used before - no availability for several days/a week. With handwashing a priority, this was a no go. Abe was able to come the next day, in a 11 a.m. to 2 pm window. Asked me a couple pertinent questions, asked if I could text him a photo of the pipe in question, and gave me an estimate. He called at 10:30 am the next day, arrived right at 11, wearing mask and gloves. Whole thing fixed in half an hour. All new pipes, and sink plug. Slim guy, so working in a tight bathroom didn't slow him down. Had me check everything out before leaving. Can't speak to value - everything with plumbers or electricians is crazy these days.

I used Abe to diagnose and repair a leak from the kitchen sink that was difficult to locate (behind walls) and repair. This was done about 6 months ago in 2018. While he was very expensive (that's another story), I thought the diagnosis and repair were well done. However, now that it has been awhile, I've come to realize the repaired drain line is not venting correctly (if that is the correct term). The drain line backs up into a utility sink on the floor below because there is not an appropriate vent/air release for the drain line. So, when a slug of water is drained from the kitchen sink, it doesn't flow smoothly and completely down the drain; it backs up into the utility sink a level down beneath. While I think he was honest and knowledgeable, I thought he was over-priced and now I realize the repair will need some more attention. I will not use his services again.

I had a clogged kitchen sink, and called Abe.
He came out within an hour, and fixed my sink! He had to snake the drain 45 feet to get rid of the clog.
He was professional and explained what he was doing through the whole process.

Rather than just sending out a service technician, the owner walked me through some steps to ensure the garbage disposal was actually broken. Ultimately the disposal was not broken, and the owner gave me the information to get it working again. He could have charged money for fixing it, and I really appreciate the fact he just helped me fix it over the phone. I will definitely use Abe’s for my next plumbing job. A quality plumbing job is extremely valuable, but plumbers tend to seem expensive. Abe is a master craftsman second to none, and you get Abe every time. He's always on call and always at work. He will work with you to diagnose the problem before walking in the door and fixes the right issue the right way, without delay. My house is a more reliable home for my young family because of Abe.

I called Abe's Plumbing on Monday morning, September 1, 2014. The plumbing problem was that a second floor shower stall was leaking and staining the ceiling on the first floor. Abe told me he would be out to our house before noon.

Abe arrived promptly at 10AM. He proceeded to diagnose the problem quickly and accurately. He explained how he would fix the problem. Abe also noted that there did not to be a U-trap associated with the shower stall, and that the U-trap was required by code.

Abe promptly built a U-trap and was prepared to install it. However, he checked above the first ceiling and discovered that a U-trap had been previously installed, and was still in satisfactory condition.

Abe then proceeded with the repair to the shower stall drain. There was no additional charge for Abe's time building a U-trap and for installation.

After the repair was complete, Abe cleaned up the work area.

I would recommend Abe's Plumbing to anyone who is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable plumber.

Abe came within 30 minutes of us calling and fixed our problem of 2 years in 10 minutes, and charged a very fair price. Our cat had scooped litter down the basement drain and clogged it (stupidly, we put his litter box right next to it until we realized what was happening), and it wasn't a problem until recently when our hot water heater started leaking and flooding the basement. Now it drains beautifully and it almost doesn't matter that the hot water heater is still leaking (scheduled to be fixed by Sears in two days).

I just had a fabulous experience with Abe's Plumbing. I had a plumbing emergency that started on Saturday night at 2:00 AM. Tried calling my regular plumber's emergency number with no luck. Had to shut off the water to the entire house. On Sunday morning I started calling plumbers. I tried no less than 10 plumbers with absolutely no call backs. I went back to Google and found Abe. He was at my house within 45 minutes. He stuck with his quoted price even though it turned out to be more work than anticipated. I will absolutely use him again and I recommend him highly. Too expensive. He quotes a price for the visit, which I understand and agreed to. But as a customer that has used him several times in the past, and considering it didn't end up being a plumbing problem, AND he spent less than 20 minutes... you'd think (as the owner) he might adjust his $225 visit fee. I will plan to find another plumber in the future.

We have had Mr. Ayoub (Abe) in twice now -- the first time a couple of years ago to put a new drain in the bathtub and this year to put a new faucet in the kitchen sink. Both times he was able to respond promptly and arrived well within the scheduled time framework. He works efficiently and professionally and gets the job done. Not sure how his rates compare with other plumbers but the professionalism he brings to his work is worth every penny. He doesn't waste your time or his.

I had a leaking kitchen faucet and water valve, and I called Abe to look at it. He came promptly, and he quoted me a high figure. When I balked and asked to think about it, he said I would owe a $75 service charge for him coming out. This was never mentioned prior to his coming, and felt tacked on to pressure me to use him. He's not rude, but he is brusque. Despite these concerns I'm giving him three stars because he really seemed to know his plumbing, and he fixed the leak.

I have done many projects with Abe over the years. He has always been so helpful and comes quickly. He has even helped point out potential issues with our older house that needs to be done in the future when we can.

Frozen pipes very very fast and convenient. When everyone else had a week wait time Abe’s came fast and knocked it out fast without having to pay an emergency fee. No hassle.
