From start to finish, the experience was fantastic.He was professional and courteous, arriving on time and communicating clearly about the work that needed to be done. He was knowledgeable about the product and took the time to answer all of my questions, ensuring that I felt confident about the installation process.
Once the work began, he and his co-worker worked efficiently and with great attention to detail. He was respectful of my home and left the work area clean and tidy when he was finished.

Joel and the team of electricians from JM Electric were amazing. They had to replace the electrical boxes at my house and update the outlets through out my house. This was a very large project and took about 5 days to complete. They ran into several obstacles during the repair process but were always reassuring that the job could be completed.

Superb service. Within a few hours of my call they were able to check on some tripped GFI sockets at my rental home. Turns out it was a simple solution and they did not even charge me! He checked all three sockets that had been tripped by a plug-in multi gizmo converter and we were good to go! We used JM electric to upgrade our electrical panel and install some outlets. It ended up being a more complicated job than they expected, but they hustled and took care of everything without fuss. JM Electric installed two new ceiling fixtures for me which was not an easy task. They had to go into the attic to ground the fixtures and run new wiring. It was labor intensive. Sebastian, my electrician, was knowledgeable and professional. He inspires confidence. It is so nice to find a company that one can rely on. I will be using them in the future.

Your tech charged me $630 for 2ish hours of labor to troubleshoot a faulty bathroom outlet/switch, couldn't figure out what was wrong and recommended rewiring the entire house. He told me your owner refused to give me a call to discuss. I told him I would leave a bad review, and it appears he retaliated by breaking the float valve inside my toilet.

7/21/23 follow up: Another electrician made the repair. The issue was a connection had come loose in a junction box just above the bathroom. They also ran a new ground wire, and even proactively replaced some wiring above the kitchen light as a bit of preventative maintenance. $325 total.
Your tech didn't make the effort to look in the attic because its dirty and cramped. As a result he couldn't identify the issue. He then recommended I rewire everything from the panel to this circuit for $1,800+, and couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't snowball into having to rewire other issues.
You seem a bit biased against property managers. Perhaps its because we work with many vendors and know how to recognize poor service when we see it.

Sebastian was able to come over the same day for an estimate, quoted us a fair price and got us on the schedule just two days later. The result turned out great, looking forward to working with him & JM Electric again!

JM Electric was on time, very courteous, professional, and thorough in repairing an emergency electrical problem. They did very good work at a very fair and reasonable price. I highly recommend them and will be using them again for any of my electrical needs.

Fantastic work! I have a very difficult house to work with in terms of wiring. I needed a new box put in because the old one was very small and old. They consolidated the box and panel, cleaned up the wiring, and installed a ground wire. They even cleaned up the extra wiring around my house so I have fewer wires sticking out of my brick walls. I have shared the before and after pictures below. I am very happy with the work and definitely recommend them.

I looked at a few quotes for the job. They were not the cheapest, but they were definitely the most up front about costs and what was able to be done. Permitting is difficult with older houses but they did a great job of explaining what needed to be done and how they could do it. Very happy with the finished product!

Sebastian was great to work with. He installed a new electrical panel and several light fixtures in my house and fixed a few hiccups that were done incorrectly by the previous owners.

I had electrical isdue in my home office. Sebastián came within an hour or so fixed the issue, explained my options, very courteous. Two other places said they couldn't get out for 1 rlto 2 weeks.

JM replaced my entire electrical panel quickly and for a reasonable price. Their work easily passed inspection and they were nice enough to help me file a claim with my homeowners insurance. I went back to them when I needed to add an additional outdoor electrical box and rather than give me an estimate, they just knocked out the work done in 30 minutes. Super happy with their pricing, quality of work, and responsiveness.

EXPENSIVE!!!! They were nice but they charged 250 dollars to tell me that there were too many appliances plugged into an outlet at a rental I have and that’s why the breakers kept popping. I understand a trip fee but that’s a little excessive to do something like LOOK at an issue

Had another team member later in the day. She made a point of introducing herself before jumping in to help with the project. Josh completed the work in one of our hotter days in Colorado. Finished everything. Cleaned up well when all the work was done. Professional in his workmanship and on his communications. Pricing was much better than we had originally hoped for. We have used JM Electric in the past and have been very pleased. Recently, Sebastian corrected a reversed wired GFCI outlet which had been installed by our home builder. Sebastian installed a new one. He arrived on time, was polite, friendly, and professional. He explained what needed to be done and was very efficient. I also appreciated that he called to let me know he was on his way and what time he expected to arrive.

Great service. My dishwasher stopped working. JM was able to come out the same day I called. We had a loose wire in our breaker panel. Sebastian fixed it very quickly and I really appreciated his professionalism.

I originally was considering installing the fan myself once they had the wiring complete to be mindful of their time. Elijah stated the price included the install of the fan if I wanted to and the timing difference was minimal, so I decided to go that route. Elijah provided me several options for scheduling. It was nice that is was within days and not weeks. On the day of the install (today), Sebastian came out to install. Not only was he on time, but early. He had called me prior to arrival to state he had an earlier opening if I was available. I immediately took him up on it as I had a meeting online (working from home) to attend to during the initial install and the time change would be greatly beneficial for my meeting. He was at the house within 15 minutes of the call and was extremely polite and professional. We went through the initial estimate to ensure we were in alignment. When he started on the measurements he advised me that where I originally wanted it installed would impeded on some canned lighting thus casting a shadow over my work desk as the fan ran. He provided an alternative option to come out a little further. To me this is going over and beyond. He could have easily just gone with the original plan without having any concern for the output of the results to the homeowner. This was greatly appreciated and just confirms the great reputation of this company and its electricians. It took approx two hours to complete start to finish and Sebastian also provided a better option for rockers switches rather than the 4 switch panel that I was going to use. I could not be more happy of hiring this company or having the interactions with its scheduling, billing, estimator and electrician. We had a circuit breaker wear out that both our fridge and microwave run off of. When we called the office we were able to talk with a staff member (not a call center or voice mail) and she took our info and said she would get ahold of a technician and get back to us. She called back quickly and said that Sebastian would be getting ahold of us within 1 to 2 hours to let us know of his arrival time. Sebastian called within the hour and came out within the next hour. Sebastian was very knowledgeable, polite and efficient. He replaced our circuit breaker and we asked him for an estimate on installing a new outlet in the kitchen where none existed, and had him do that installation as well.
So, same day service all done very efficiently and Sebastian explained everything along the way and cleaned up as he worked. We definitely recommend JM Electric, and Sebastian, for anyone needing an electrician.

Having just moved into our new Aurora, CO home, we immediately had a list of have to haves in order to make the home OUR home. Josh of JM Electric was recommended to us by family. From the very second he entered our home, it was obvious that he cared about doing a fantastic job for us. He and his team are seasoned Master Electricians who know how to get the job done. They used their tremendous problem solving skills to address our needs and wants. We are 150% pleased with their work and would DEFINITELY call them. Josh and his assistant Dan did an incredible job in replacing our (dangerous) Federal Pacific electrical panel with a new, safe electrical panel. They also added a new light fixture and some electrical outlets. (You're hearing this from a savvy, picky consumer who did extensive independent research and also got two recommendations from friends who were quite pleased with the work this company did for them in the past.)

JM Electric was really great to work with. Sebastian provided an estimate for services including upgrading our panel, fixing a switch and adding an outlet. Everything was explained to me in a way I could understand. We were able to get the work scheduled promptly and they were extra considerate of my time. I purchased my first home a couple of months ago and likely would not have been able to without the help of Josh and his team. The general inspection highlighted some fundamental concerns regarding the electrical panel that needed an expert opinion. I contacted Josh with virtually zero notice and he met me at the property and performed a thorough analysis and even drafted a quote for the work if I closed on the property.

I called Josh to schedule the work as soon as the property closing was official to schedule the work to replace the panel, and he wasted no time. A few weeks later and I had a new 200 AMP panel (previously 100 AMP panel with faulty/dangerous wiring) and a proper ground wire to the water main. He and Daniel arrived early, and worked quickly and efficiently to get the work completed before the afternoon snowstorm. He even called in extra help from Jim to ensure that the power in my house was on before the snow started. They found a lot of other issues that were not identified in the initial inspection, and fixed those while honoring the original cost.

I cannot recommend this company enough, and I am confident when I say that I intend to work exclusively with JM Electric for all of my electrical projects going forward.

Josh from JM Electric was amazing. Not only did he arrive within 30 minutes of my call but went over and above in diagnosing my electrical problem (from an overhead power line). He stayed with me until Excel arrived and made sure everything was working once they replaced the line. And they were affordable.

It can be difficult to find a good contractor that you know you can trust to do a good job at a fair price. My wife and have used JM Electric several times now and they always do a fantastic job. Their pricing is done by the job and not by the hour so you know exactly what to expect before the work even starts. Jim Cox has been our service Technician each time and he's been awesome. He's got very impressive/extensive knowledge and is extremely conscientious. He's also just a really nice guy and it's always nice to see him. I highly recommend JM Electric and feel you can't go wrong.

JM Electric was quick to respond to my voice message and they were able to get someone out to my house the next day. I had to have the panel for my washer and dryer replaced and the outlets replaced and moved slightly. The electrician was early to arrive (an added bonus) and he completed the repairs and installation quickly. I'll definitely use them again!

I'm very pleased with the work of Jim at JM Electric. He installed 2 bathroom exhaust fans and wired in and installed a chandelier on our vaulted ceiling. He was professional and friendly right from the initial meeting. We've had an excellent experience with JM Electric! Some electrical items came up during an inspection for the sale of our house. They were able to schedule an estimate the same day and schedule the actual work a week later to ensure we're able to close on time. We recently used JM to install a 240 outlet in our garage for electric car charging and to replace all of the smoke detectors in our home. Armand installed two chandeliers one in our kitchen eating area and the other over the island. It was more complicated than we expected since he had to purchase a conversion kit, at Home Depot, to accommodate the chandeliers prior to installation. He spent the next 4 plus hours diligently completing the work. My husband and I admired his excellent work, his work ethic and professionalism. He also did an amazing job cleaning up and we felt the price was fair, as well. We would highly recommend this company due to Armand’s excellent work, which we greatly appreciated! We will certainly use this company in the future if we require other electrical work!

Elijah was great - he came out for an estimate right at the beginning of the estimated time frame. He was then able to install the simpler of the two ceiling fans I wanted that day.
Small error with dispatch scheduling the second installation - they hadn't called me, so I called in and scheduled for 12-2 and Elijah called that he was 15 minutes out at 10, so a small miscommunication but Elijah held off until 10:45 so we could prep the second bedroom and attic access.
Overall, VERY happy with the work, speed, and professionalism.

I was impressed with their response time. Sebastian was able to be at my home in under an hour from my first call. He was nice, professional, and able to explain what he was doing and answer and questions I had.

Sebastian came out to quote a number of small upgrades we want to add to a generic builders grade house. He gave me five quotes, and returned to complete 1 of them so far. The scope included garage shop lights and additional outlets. He thought through how the space was going to work and gave us the best option that was also the best price of the quotes we received. He is conscientious of personal property and very professional. We are thrilled with the results and will be calling them/him again as we move forward with the other projects!

Had another great experience today with JM Electric. Our dimmable lights in the kitchen recently started dimming on their own and we needed someone to come take a look. This time we had the pleasure of working with Dominic. He did a great job and explain everything clearly to us. He gave us some information on what to do should the problem reappear and next steps being as flickering lights can mean a wide variety of things, but from what we can tell a simple replacing of switches did the job! Really great company and I would choose them again in the future.

Original Review: Had a great experience with this company. Armand came out to check two of our GFCI outlets. One was no longer triggering at all and the other was triggering any time one of our other outlets in the kitchen was used. He was able to get an estimate really quickly and even able to work on fixing the problem the same day. He had everything fixed within a half hour. I think the price was really good in comparison to other places around the area. When he was finished he explained everything he did and asked if I had any questions. I would definitely go with him again!

I have used JM Electric twice for some small projects around my home. I was extremely impressed with the electrician they sent out the first time. He had great ideas and did excellent work. When I called for the next project, I was so happy to see the same electrician, Brian. Again, great ideas, friendly, great customer service, reasonable and the work was excellent. They are my go too electricians now.

While they did complete the job. Their cost is outrageous for the work done. We had two outlets that weren't working. He fixed one, however he would not look at the other one unless he charged me again. Thus, changing me twice for the same job. These guys run a dishonest racket. So I would find others that will quote for free (as most do) and go with them. In addition their tech was less than helpful or professional. He was rude.

Sebastian made our recessed lighting installation project extremely easy. He communicated every step of the process, was easy to work with, and did a great job installing multiple lights in a short timeframe. Our space now looks modern and up to date! I had a difficult downtown Denver condo rewire project that most electricians didn't even want to discuss. I called JM Electric and Josh came out right away and worked through and discussed my options. I had an estimate in my hand within about 2 hours. And the work was just as efficient. Josh showed up on time, accomplished the work efficiently (there were some unforeseen circumstances that Josh quickly diagnosed and solved) and expertly. When the inspector came out for final inspection he remarked that my contractor had done an excellent job. Both rough and final inspections passed the first time with no issues. Everyone from the office personnel to Josh and his assistance were outstanding. In the future JM Electric is the only electrical contractor I'll use.

Sebastian came out to run wiring for two ceiling fans for an added patio, run wiring for a new exterior light and outlet, and replace an existing outlet and porch light. Armand at JM electric did a great job in tough circumstanses replacing the main breaker panel, high voltage mast and rewiring the interior of my property in Denver. He was there when he said he would be, worked some long days to get the job done on schedule, was very courteous and careful to complete the job to Denver Electrical Code, and was there to meet the Denver Inspector to answer any questions. As the inspector was leaving, he told me that he could depend on Armand and JM Electric to do the work properly. JM did not require a contract and did not require any payment before the work was completed. They furnished a copy of the permit when they started and the final inspection approval when it was completed. Very professional.

Integrity is worth a lot. I received a bid from another contractor that was 60% high, plus they required a multi-page contract and 50% payment before work was started. An online search revealed that they were sued by DORA in state court for not pulling a permit and work that did not meet code.

I had to have some new circuits run to service new appliances. This required crawling through an attic to run them from the attic entrance to the back of the house where the circuit box is located. The technician was wonderful. He is friendly and very knowledgeable and even though the day was one of the hottest this year he was willing to go through the attic to accomplish the job. The cost was reasonable and he got the job done quickly. I will hire this company again any time I need electrical work. Dominic was an excellent technician.

I bought a 100+ year old house that needed a lot of electrical work. I contacted JM Electric and Nate contacted me back right away. We set a time for him to come and review the scope of work. He really took his time to explain the issues with the house and recommended to do a complete rewire. It was more than I was hoping to do but totally the right call. Some of the wires were so bad they would just break in half as light fixtures we disconnected. I never felt like they were trying to upsell me. In fact they really did look for ways to do repairs and save me money but in the end, the total rewire was the right call. I'm confident they did the job right and safely. I now have outlets everywhere I need them and they passed all their inspection on the first try. They completed it for a very fair price. I had some competing bids and the JM job made the other bids look insulting. Josh did the work and was very knowledgeable and extremely communicative. He always showed up when he said he would and was respectful of the house. He was willing to work with my schedule as I fixed other aspects of the house. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again for future projects. 5 stars all the way.

Replaces two switches in a three way configuration on a 60 year old home. The tech took twice as long as expected due to creative wiring by the home's original builder. The new switches work properly and we didn't get charged for the additional time required to straighten out the wiring.

Josh with JM Electric Inc. came over with two co-workers, Daniel and Elijah, and upgraded our breaker from a 100 to a 200 Amp panel. They installed everything to the new 2021 codes and went above and beyond by relocating an outlet installed for an a/c unit in the wrong location by another company to the correct location on the house. Josh took interest in my questions about the work being performed and the job was completed in well under a day. The city inspector passed my electric final last week. Great experience with JM Electric. Very polite and laid back staff. They sent out Dominic Apostoli, he was very friendly and professional. They ended up finding a better fix then anticipated so my cost was much lower than the estimate. Will definitely use them for future electrical needs.

Friendly technician and easy to schedule. However there was no free estimate as advertised, and the technician did not solve my problem adequately. He basically said it may be one of two issues but wasn't certain. I opted to go with the simpler and cheaper option for now.

Tech was at my residence 65 minutes but charged hour and a half. If his solution does not fix the problem I will be contacting a different electrician as I was not pleased with the solutions provided.

Talk about exceeding expectations, first Sebastian was early, upon his arrival he spoke with us about our expectations. Once we explained what we expected he told us the steps he was going to take to accomplish the job. He then executed his plan and when he finished or expectations were exceeded.

He installed a Ceiling Fan in our master bedroom and there was not even a light fixture for him to work from. He cut the Sheetrock, installed the electrical boxes with supports and then wired it to a switch.

When finished there wasn’t even a speck of dust or insulation to be found anywhere. The installation was perfect and the fan worked perfectly as well.

Josh was fantastic! So prompt and responsive. He walked us through all the intricacies of our electrical problems. He moved his schedule around to accommodate my day off. We had some long-term electrical problems that needed to be addressed and Josh got everything working perfectly. Such a pleasant purchase to boot!

JM Electric replaced a ceiling fan on an 18ft ceiling, replaced 5 recessed lights with LED recessed, and replaced 3 smoke/CO alarms. Most were on a very high ceiling. Armand did a great job and was very careful and courteous. To reach a recessed light over a stairwell and 20+ ft over floor level, he wisely arranged for help from Justin, another JM Electric technician. It took both of them to maneuver tall ladders and get the right angle to reach the recessed light. Having the 25 yr old ceiling fan, lights, and alarms replaced in less than a day is greatly appreciated. I highly recommend JM Electric - especially Armand and Justin. Thanks Guys!

I've dealt with many contractors in the past, but none of them impressed me as much as JM Electric.

The electrician arrived quickly and was very professional. I was provided an accurate estimate up front, which was slightly cheaper than competition.

I would recommend JM Electric over the companies that I have used in the past.

These guys are professional and do quality work. Today Dominic was able to solve a problem within minutes and didn't charge for his work. The last time I used them, they did a stellar job installing a difficult light fixture that involved working around a very unique wiring system. I'll use these guys again for sure.

JM Electric did a panel swap as well as taking care of a subpanel located in my basement that was not up to code. The technicians, Josh and Sebastian, were very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable, and their price was very competitive. The work they did was done very well and I could not recommend them highly enough.

I had called multiple electrical companies for quotes on some can lights, bringing some wiring up to code and replacing the electrical panel for my home. Two of the five companies were very unprofessional, the other two companies were outrageously expensive. JM Electric sent Dominick and the experience was by far the most amazing. He was very helpful and quick. Efficiency and reasonable pricing is what I look for. I will be using JM Electrical for all my electrical projects.

I Initially hired Josh at JM Electric to install a new breaker box as well as some extra surge protection. They knocked this out in record time and I could not have been more thrilled with the work they did! I have, since, hired them to come back and do a few small fixes on some lights and outlets in our house. I know this is an exaggeration but it seems as though the minute I call to see when they're available...I get a knock on the door from Josh or one of the other great crew members. They're quick, efficient, professional, and they won't break the bank either. Josh has always clearly defined cost and expectations before ever launching into a project. JM electric did a light repair and installed a new light fixture in our home. Jim was great. Punctual, polite, and great at explaining a sharing. I’m naturally a curious person and gage done a little bit of electrical myself. I kept asking questions and offering help while he was doing the job. He explained things in an way that anyone would understand. He was appreciative of my offers but declined them for obvious reasons. lol He stayed clean, tidy, timely, & efficient. He also last minute installed a dimmer switch on the lights he repaired. He is very knowledgeable and up to date on fixtures, switches, and installed. Highly recommended.

You may find some electrical services a little less expensive, but would highly recommend JM for high quality service at a fairly set and transparent price.

I am very pleased with the job JM Electric, Inc completed in my home. Jim and Sebastian skillfully installed recessed lighting fixtures and three ceiling fans, greatly improving the lighting and atmosphere in several different rooms. We first called JM Electric a few years ago to help us with a ceiling fan (wired by previous owners at some point) that was experiencing a little electrical fire. They sent Armand Cobo, and we have been requesting him ever since. His knowledge of the trade and building materials in general has been incredibly helpful as he works on our older home with its plaster walls. He shows up on time, is always friendly, courteous, polite, and he makes sure to remove his shoes whenever coming into our home. In addition to fixing that ceiling fan wiring, he has also wired our patio addition (involved crawling around in our attic in 90° heat - sorry, Armand!, several outdoor outlets, a ceiling fan, and security light), properly wired our kitchen for a modern dishwasher, fixed several switches and outlets throughout the home that weren’t installed correctly, installed new outlets in my home office and our basement living room, and probably a handful of other things I can’t remember right now. He’s awesome, and I HIGHLY recommend him!

We had electrical problems with the lights in our garage. Josh from JM Electric arrived to fix the problem. He was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable, identified the problem and completed his work quickly. We recommend Josh and JM to anyone needing electrical work done.

They scheduled me for the morning after I called and told me someone would be there between 8 and 10. Dominic showed up at 8 am sharp. After talking about my issue he started investigating and figured out our problem very quickly. It turned out to be a problem with the meter bank on our building which would require a larger contractor to replace, but he got us patched up as well as could be done and even reworked some funky wiring in our service box. Definitely recommend.

We've had Armand from JM Electric to our house several times now, and every single time, he has gone the extra mile. Most recently, he was here to put can lights in our master bedroom. The lights are amazing and well done. But, not only did he do the lights, he shoveled our walkway because I hadn't gotten a chance to do it yet. i recently bought a home that had very old and illegal wiring. i needed my dryer and my kitchen range changed to a 4 prong wire outlet. this ended up being 2 service calls, due to my unpacking and finally getting to the kitchen range. Highly knowledgeable - Jim came in and explained everything while he was giving us a quote. We received three quotes from electricians who were fantastic and reasonably priced, but we chose Jim because he gave us a bit of an education. He was very fast too! We needed a new panel, grounding wire, GFCI outlets, outlet in the garage, and our basement wiring to be sanitized (it was a mess with wires everywhere and outlets hanging off the walls). He did it in two days. Will be hiring them again to install three-pronged outlets throughout the house.

Very quick to come out and provide a quote for a variety of services I needed, including repairing a switch and installing a new fan. The install was scheduled for a couple days later and was done in a few hours. Very low hassle and I’m happy with the work provided.

Jim was our technician. He came out almost immediately to evaluate the job. His estimate was detailed, allowing me to pick and choose tasks after receiving two additional estimates which came in about the same, I hired JM. ( One estimate was higher and the other was nearly identical, but suggested two upsells. Jim did the work professionally. He ensured clear communication and got my ok on exact placements. He cleaned thoroughly before moving to the next unrelated task. I will use them again.

Don’t hesitate to hire this company for any electrical needs. We were fortunate enough to have Armand as our electrician. Bryan at JM Electric has consistently gone above and beyond to provide excellent service at my homes over the past couple of years. Bryan is highly knowledgeable, punctual, courtious and friendly. It has been a pleasure to work with him and the other JM Electric employees for the past 9 years.

We called on Friday because our outside outlets went out. They were able to come in Monday. He was in and out in just a few short hours and it all seems to be working greatly. I learned that our house didn't have weatherproof outlets so they replaced them as well. Overall I highly recommend using JM Electric.

My house was built in the 1940s and needed some rewiring and a service box upgrade. I had several electricians visit to get an estimate. During the visits, I explained my need to get my house up to current building codes and a couple of issues that I had with my electrical system. JM Electric was the only one that followed thru after the visit. Josh was courteous and very professional. After his walk through, Josh explained to me that I needed a complete rewiring of my house to make sure everything was up to code. I should mention that my house not only had the outside service box with an attached subpanel, but also a subpanel in the garage, a subpanel in the basement, and the original screw in fuse box in the kitchen- all with electricity and not fully labeled to what it supplied. I didn't have the luxury of completely vacating my house while the work was being done. Josh explained everything he and his crew did and the building code requirements. They installed new wiring, outlet boxes, lights, and smoke detectors to bring my house up to code. They took out all the old wiring when they installed the new. Josh, Sebastian, and Brandon took my house from an electricians nightmare to one that meets current electric codes. A huge shout out to them. I now have complete confidence in my home's electrical system. I will definitely be contacting JM Electric for any future electrical needs.

I had a circuit breaker that would not reset. The company was quick to respond to my request for a technician. Dominic showed up early, which was appreciated. He walked me through what he was testing and showed me what he had to do to fix the problem. I appreciate when technicians do not talk down to you. Dominic fixed the problem quickly and without incident. Will definitely be using this company again in the future if/when needed.

I have used JM Electric for two projects so far. First was a panel upgrade. The second time was to install a 30A subpanel in my garage. Armand was the electrician on both projects and did a great job each time. Would recommend JM Electric to anyone needing electrical work done.

They will charge you $370 just to get a quote on replacing the breaker.

In response, to the business and for people looking for electrical work. I was able to get free estimates from Piper Electric and CT Electrical Services. I was able to get other quotes for about 50-60 dollars from other services also. In my opinion, charging 370 dollars for a quote, even if it is charged to do the work, doesn't provide me with a choice once the quote is made. So why get a quote?

I have finally found someone who understands and can fix the numerous electrical issues I have had with my house and large garage. Jim Cox and his sidekick discovered a loose wire in the recently replaced breaker box, and once that was fixed went ahead and properly fixed and installed new circuits. My house is finally safe electrically.

Dominic showed up at the earliest time (which is remarkable), replaced 7 fluorescent shop lights with equal LEDs, and moved switch. He was fast, efficient, and cleaned up after himself. I am very, very happy with his work and my new lighting.

We had a circuit go out after using a compressor and needed an electrician. I was concerned at the negative bbb.org review, but JM Electric was listed in Team Dave Logan's Resource Guide; and has a BBB Accredited A+ Rating.
I called three companies this Monday morning before a holiday. The other two companies still have not returned my call. We needed this addressed soon as the water softener, all exterior electric outlets were all offline. Additionally, we have family arriving in a few days which will be needing electrical hookup for their camper.

I needed some can lights put in my living room, but I had no clue how many I needed. I googled an electrician and this is the first place that popped up. Dominick came out and he thought that 6 lights would look good. There was VERY minimal dry wall damage and my living room looks SO much brighter with the lights. Dominick was very polite and professional, very nice guy. I’d highly recommend him!

Am selling a condo in an older building and had electrical issues that needed to be repaired and generally brought up to code. I needed a certified electrician . The Inspection showed issues with polarity and the need for CGFI outlets. Josh explained the code requirements and changed out only outlets necessary. I recommend Josh as a professional master electrician who is extremely knowledgeable and does a great job.
By the way the invoice was right in line with the estimate - no hidden charges; even though some extra work was required.

I was converting from an electric cooktop to a gas cooktop and needed to have the existing hardwired electrical work switched out to an outlet for the gas cooktop ignitor.

I submitted a Home Advisor quote request and they responded within less than 5 minutes and scheduled an estimate for 8:00 a.m. the next day!

Dominic called to let me know he was on his way, showed up promptly at 8:00 a.m. gave me an estimate, (which I feel was very reasonable), and installed the new outlet and replaced another sketchy breaker I had right then and it only took an hour!

Dominic was very professional and personable and I will definitely use JM Electric again for any electrical needs I have!

We highly recommend Josh as a capable, qualified electrician who takes pride in his work and is truly committed to safety. We needed a certified electrician ASAP to fulfill the objections by a buyer for our house. The Inspector ID'd 4 outlets that required CGFI units. Josh found the upline unit for the first two, saving us expense and saving the new owners the potential problems of over-installation. No charge. He then spent time searching for a CGFI connection for the exterior outlets. When he then went inside the exterior plugs, he found serious problems of weather damage and of incorrect original installation by the Builder. He worked very quickly to correct our wiring and properly seal the exterior outlets so that the new owners will be safe for years to come. From beginning to end this was an awesome experience! Competitive pricing, amazing customer service and worked right within our schedule. Will definitely recommend to others and will use again for any upcoming needs.

My Tenant called them because a bedroom was receiving no power and all the smoke alarms in the house were going off (alarms were blaring).
They came to inspect and wrote up a quote for $490 to inspect the attic's wiring plus an additional $773 to replace the smoke detectors. He cited because the smoke detectors can fail after 10 years or so, they should be replaced. Tenant called me to help address the issue. I came and immediately checked the circuit breakers and found a tripped circuit. I reset it and all is well. Even ran tests on the detectors and they still work as well as they did when I had the system installed back in 2006. I can understand a quote to check the wiring, I can even forgive the obvious upsell on the smoke detectors, but I think that the technician was seriously remiss to ignore a simple tripped circuit breaker. It's not like I have a lock on the breaker panel or anything. Seriously, all I had to do was flip a switch and I saved $1263.

Wow...extremely rude office staff. Won't be using this company anymore. I used this company several times in the past and loved the technician that was sent out. When I called to make an appointment with the same tech (whose name is listed all over testimonials on their website) the office staff was EXTREMELY rude, hung up on me for asking if that tech available. Called back to explain we still needed and electrician and didn't need the attitude just because we didn't know this tech no longer worked with them. Lady doubled up on the rudeness and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Guess they don't want our business - and you should not use them if our previous tech left on bad terms. He was awesome, it's a shame everyone else in this company is a jerk.

Jim Cox was prompt and explained everything he was going to do. He put in two outlets and then replaced a 30amp breaker and tested everything to make sure it worked. I was having issues with our dryer and he tested everything to make sure it was not an electrical issue.

This was a great company to work with. I received same day service and my problem was solved. I has an issue with my waterfall feature. It was a bit tricky and it was all taken care of. I will use this company in the future.

I scheduled an appointment with them in advance. They gave my a 1.5 hour window. 15 min after the window they called to tell me they would be there with in the next hour. When I told the technician, over the phone, that I had an appoint for 730-9. He said his paperwork said 730-10 and he would try and make it by 10 or a little later because he had been busy. I have spent my whole morning waiting. Not sure how to proceed.
