I had used Crown Home Services to repair my sump pump because of a home warranty (AHS) contract in June of 2021. May 2023 I noticed the sump pump is running continuously and the crawl space is full of water. I called Crown Home in the morning of May 23rd and was told they don't have availability until June. I relayed my concerns about water backing up into my crawl space and that the work was done by this company. I was told she would have to see what they could do and would call me back. I called again the next afternoon because no one had called back as she said they would. I again relayed my concerns, and the first question she asked was, did I still have the AHS warranty? I informed her I did not, but this company did the work and the pump they installed was now failing. I was put on hold for 10 minutes and disconnected. I called again a couple times because no one was answering, and finally the same woman picked up - she just started talking before I could get a word in and said she is still working on this and I could hold or she would call me back. She called back an hour later and told me there would be an $85 service charge to come to the house, and an additional charge for repairs if needed. I asked her if their work was not covered or under warranty - she repeatedly told me that it was not because I did not still have the home warranty service (3 times). When I asked if the work would be covered if I were still paying for a home warranty service, she quickly denied inferring that. I informed her that her company did the work, and whether I still had a home warranty service has nothing to do with the pump they installed in my home. At that time she informed me that it was only covered for 1 year. She continued to be argumentative and deny that she suggested they do not cover their work, and only fix problems if I have a home warranty service. I am amazed at the extremely poor customer service and will never use this company again.

We had a leak coming from our hot water heater, and it was causing some minor (potentially major) damage in our garage. Working through our home insurance provider, Crown Home Services sent out a tech (Todd) within 24 hours and they were able to fix the issue promptly. Todd was quick, professional and went above and beyond to repair the leak. We really appreciated his great customer service and clear explanation of the issue and needed solutions. Also thank you to Maggi for her prompt responses and getting us on the schedule ASAP!

They replaced a water heater for me through AHS. The replacement itself didn’t have too much of a fuss. Just some delays that were not really in their control. But once they got ready to go, Maggie was pretty good at scheduling me quickly and Justin was very professional and got the job done in a timely manner. The city inspector didn’t find any issues. So I would use them again to replace my water heater.

Lucky for me, this company’s communication is so poor, I moved on before they could mess with my home.

I was referred to them by my home warranty. They never called me, despite my placing two calls to them. Instead, they texted my husband overseas to let him know that they are leaving me with hot water for at least a week.

When I tried texting them, their # doesn’t accept texts - telling me to call their phone number which only goes to voice mail.

Are they unresponsive? Sexist? Lack attention to detail? We will never know.

In June 2022, I was assigned Crown Services through American Home Shield. They did such a poor job replacing my water heater that I have to have another replacement put in 1 year later. They capped off the pressure release valve, which lead to irreparable damage to the tank.

This company was assigned to me through my home warranty company. The dispatch was very brash in communication. My contractor was late to the service time, though they were respectful. They were given zero information on the job, had none of the appropriate tools, and left without resolution. It was a very disappointing experience.

Where to start? Found drywall wet on my ceiling and called my home warranty to send out a plumber, guess who? They sent out crown home services. Which now reading past reviews I wish I would have done in the first place. Anyhow a plumber came out and tore thru the ceiling and found my shower leaking upstairs when in use. They stated they would have to order parts and call him directly when received so he can stop by as it is a 10-15 minute fix. Order came about 7-10 business days later and I call the plumber, no answer, no voicemail setup. When I do get ahold of the plumber he says call the office. A little annoyed but I called the office and they couldn’t get out for a whole other week. Now mind you to this point it’s been a month since we have found the issue so I’m a little annoyed at this point it’s taking so long to fix just a faucet and washer (from what I’m told caused the leak) crown home services office instead of calling me sends me a text that morning saying oh yeah our plumber is out today can we reschedule for a week later. I flat out said no and make sure someone is out. They accommodated but the plumber they sent installed the part and the faucet/washer was not flush with the wall. They blamed my wall. They also came back out as they took the new part with them and left an old piece still attached after my mother in law called and gave them a good ear full. They stated they don’t caulk the faucet after just rescrewing the piece on and there is still a space from the washer to the back of the shower which over time if we didn’t ask and didn’t seal it ourselves will cause water damage again! This company is highly unprofessional and looking at other reviews with leak “fixes” they have worked on all I have to say is be careful of calling this company to fix your issues. Down the line you will end up with the same issues if not worse.

Not sure why they got such bad reviews. I really like them and they did a great job replacing our water heater. We used them with our 2-10 home warranty. Justin came out twice to diagnosis and fix our water heater. They ended up replacing it for us and he did it in under 1 1/2 hours. He is so nice and loves dogs, which we have two so that's always a plus in my book :) Maggie at Crown Home was always responsive and helpful! If anything it was 2-10 that held up our claim and I had to call them to see what was going on. But Crown Home was always on top of it.

It's no wonder this company only gets three stars. They caused a flood in the unit above me last Saturday and now I can't even get them to respond to me with a Claim number from their insurance company to pay for me to stay somewhere else while my home is put back together. Seems like the owner (Todd) doesn't care. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY is the best advice I can give. They are completely irresponsible and Unresponsive. LOOK AT THE MESS THEY HAVE LEFT IN MY HOME.

American Home Shield assigned this company to diagnose and replace our water heater. It was the most frustrating week ever. These guys are just as bad as AHS, for an entire week I felt like I was getting scammed. Between my partner, property manager and myself, we made no less than 20 calls to AHS and Crown home services who often gave us conflicting information. As a customer of AHS (who I don't recommend), we didn't get a choice when it came to contractors but I most certainly wouldn't use these guys if I were paying.

American Home Shield sent this contractor out - the dispatcher was rude. The technician seemed awesome - told me there was an issue with the pump, took a picture and then never reported that back and the part was never ordered. Since then, they refuse to answer the phone.

American Home Shield sent this company to repair our water heater. Company came out, was timely, determined that repair was not the best option, so a new heater was slated for install. They installed it, and all seemed well. A few hours after they left, we had flooding in our basement. Called them nonstop for the next 2 days, no answer, only voicemail. Left us dealing for 2 days with flooding in our basement. When they finally responded and came out after 3 days, they claimed the leaking valve was due to overpressure. I went and checked on the PRV valve used to reduce the pressure, seemed fine and I replaced it anyways and still, the valve they installed is leaking and flooding our basement.

I will never recommend these people and will steer everyone I can from them. Horrible horrible service.

This company was assigned by my warranty company.when the guy came out the first time he told us that the warranty wouldn’t cover the job. Which should have been a red flag. Who was he to assume if it was covered or not. Myself and the warranty company had to chase them just to get the diagnostic report. After two weeks of chasing, their lazy employee came back out. And again made another excuse why the repair couldn’t be done. So my husband and I fixed the pipe leak ourselves. I refuse to work with this company and highly encourage my home warranty company to drop them as a vendor.

Horrible service. If anyone with AHS warranty company gets this vendor assigned to them. I would suggest calling AHS and asking for a different vendor who will be willing to assist.

Went through American Home Shield Home Warranty for some minor faucet repairs and to look at my circulation pump. Crown Services showed up and the technician tried to use scare tactics to get me to pay out of pocket. Stated the circulation pump off the hot water heater was plumbed incorrectly and that it would cost $1,400 to repair and install correctly and that the pump alone was $500. I explained I had replaced one at my work before and that it was less than $500 to repair at a hotel. He then stated he could do it for the $500. What?!?

Further, for the faucet repair, he stated that he would need to break up all the tile, and that we would need to get a tile contractor to reinstall the tile. I asked if he could take off the faucet cover to see if it was just a gasket and he refused.

He went on to say that if we didn't take care of the repairs on the spot, he would tell American Home Shield they were all pre-existing conditions to close out the ticket and that the repairs for these specific items wouldn't be covered until the repairs were made. He wouldn't take any basic inspections and spent most his time at my home talking about being from South Carolina and how nice it was there.

I contacted American Home Shield and it took me three calls and speaking with a supervisor to get another contractor to my home for a second opinion. AHS stated because the contractor notated it was pre-existing, the ticket was closed. Finally, they got Colorado First Plumbing to my home and they are in the process of getting all the correct parts ordered to make all the necessary repairs.

With how dishonest they are, I wouldn't be surprised if they would have charged me thousands of dollars, just to go back and bill the warranty company.

DO NOT USE CROWN SERVICES! I am shocked that they are still in business and being used by American Home Shield.

I set up an appointment through my home warranty. I needed my guest shower fixed before I had family come into town. The day of my appointment they called and said the tech called out sick...normally it wouldn't have been a big deal but since I specifically needed that shower fixed for guests I ended up deciding to cancel the appointment all together. I called Crown Plumbing and sent an email cancelling, they confirmed the cancellation via email. I went through my bank as I normally do and found out that Crown Plumbing still took out a payment for the job they never did! Now I'm on hold with my home warranty company getting the charge reversed but they should have never tried to take my money. CROOKS! I've had to cancel other requests through my home warranty before and this was never an issue. Get a different company to fix your plumbing needs!!!

Contacted American Home shield about a leak in the waterp pressure valve. This company was assigned to me and didn't think to look at reviews before they showed. Leak occurred on a Sunday and we had to turn off water coming into house. Ending up staying somewhere else that night in hopes that, because of the nature of this situation, plumber would be out asap. Was told I would receive a call to setup appointment but did not, so I contacted them. Earliest they could be in was Wednesday. That meant moving for 3 days because we had no running water. Wednesday came, plumber arrived, wife was home and plumber told her, we created the issue and that American Home Shield wouldn't cover the cost. She wanted it repaired so she had them fix it and we were going to deal with American Home Shield. The repair took 20 minutes, I had removed the valve already attempting to replace myself because we wanted it water back on. $480 plus $125 service free from AHS. I have reached out to Crown Home Services on several occasions trying to get a break down of what I paid for, no response RUN FAR AWAY FROM this company,

Completely incompetent plumber was so fixated on our bathroom sink; we kept begging him and insisting our problem was with the toilet. He refused to check the toilet. He came out 3 times over two weeks before given an ultimatum; check the toilet, or we will find someone else. He left. He called our warranty company and said he couldn’t do the work because he couldn’t estimate the length of sink pipe that needed to be replaced due to the bathroom cabinets! It took 2-3 days for anyone to return our call, 3 visits, and two weeks of agony.
Colorado First Plumbing came out the same day and fixed the clog in our toilet in 30 minutes.
Dear Brian, if you are reading this, it turns out the sink pipes did not need to be replaced, as we begged for you to understand. It turns out, our toilet was clogged.

Absolutely horrible service. American home shield sent out the plumber who tried to fix my toilet, the plumber said the issue was the toilet itself. After 3 weeks, the plumber has not submitted the diagnostic report and AHS repeatedly has told me they cannot do anything without this info. I am going to demand a different plumbing service if I can ever get them to send out another plumbing service. Please do not use this company, you will regret it

We had a water heater go out but we had the insurance from American Home Shield and they sent us to Crown Home Services. Todd (the owner) came out promptly and agreed with my assessment that the bottom had rusted through. Thereafter he sent out Brian who apparently has been installing water heaters for over 20 years and he had it in, working and was gone before I knew what had happened. Anyway both were very nice and its a high quality water heater that works great! Most important the Mrs. isn't causing a loss of hearing in my right ear any more.

They were very nice and professional until it came time to ask for an invoice. They REFUSED to provide an invoice until they received payment. An invoice and receipt are 2 different types of documents and it seems they do not know the difference. I needed the invoice to show proof that the work was completed for my home buyers. I had requested the invoice 2 days before close and they would not wait until close to be cut a check. Todd was arguing that it was company policy. I tried explaining my situation of not having the funds until close and they wouldn't have it. I did what I had to in order to get them their money prior to close, per their demands. My complaint is the extremely angry attitude and harassment, yes, harassment via text, I received from Todd and his office staff (I forget her name). He seemed to get angry when I told him this was poor customer service, because it was. I was not rude to him at all and did not deserve to be talked to this way. They were not only rude to myself but my real estate agent as well. We were both in shock on the treatment we had received. Again, over an invoice. I have subsequently blocked Todd's phone numbers to avoid anymore disturbances. It was completely uncalled for. And yes, as soon as I made the payment, they sent me the receipt. Their attitude is not worth it, go elsewhere.

Called American Home Shield on 10/30 for a water leak. Plumber did not return my call until 11/2. Plumber came out and cut several holes around the house, and fixed a coupling. He sent a scammer restoration company to try and do clean/up and repairs and we told them we didn't need additional services.
The water leak was not fixed and called them back out. The guy came back out barely looked at it and said there was no additional leas, even though there was clearly a big wet spot on the floor and a bowl of water collecting the drip. Called back again--sent the same guy out again. He was super rude and asked if I found the leak yet--ISN'T THAT HIS JOB?! He removed a piece of pipe and replaced it. Hopefully no more leaks

They were fairly responsive, somewhat friendly and knowledgeable but since we went through AHS it was a bare bones fix. After the technician completed the work I noticed it was still leaking, then when he came back the next day fixed it with some help, I noticed an area a foot over had a dripping leak but since it was a bare bones fix (only the tub) it wasn't their job to fix. I feel they could have tested their work better, looked around and extended a pipe they replaced a few feet more to fix a second problem. Regardless of my issues with American Home Shield and how they don't get quality contractors, scheduling was easy and they returned to complete the work.

Requested service through American Home Shield and was supposed to receive a call to schedule an appointment within 24 hours. On the third day, I called five times about an hour apart each, none of which were answered, left a message on the second call, finally received a call in the afternoon. Appointment was scheduled for several days later due to a heightened work schedule.

The individual sent to the home had two items to fix:
- Kitchen sink faucet: hand tightened one connection, no tools were used to affect a complete repair, and the larger offense
- Toilet leaking waste from front of base: absolutely refused to do anything about it and lied several times as to what the yellow, ammonia smelling liquid was. Sometimes it was the material they used to seal the toilet, which he immediately contradicted as crystal clear caulk. Other times it was some type of wax. My spouse and I gave him several opportunities to actually do the work and stop making false excuses, remove the toilet and replacing the wax ring (which I bought ahead of time for the repair), even calling him back into the home while he was in his Hertz rental van (not even a company vehicle) to check again when yellow liquid continued to seep out the front of the toilet base. He was completely devoted to doing as little work as possible, since he himself would get nothing more from doing the work. He also degraded AHS several times in what they would cover and that it wasn't a good value. Terrible servicing individual. And don't bother responding to this review; I've already informed AHS to never send personnel from Crown to my home ever again and recounted this experience online and on the phone. But thank you for not actually making a new problem or a problem worse.

Crown Plumbing was assigned to me by my home warranty company to replace a failing water heater. I scheduled an appointment for a Friday - 8/19, and gave Crown Plumbing the entire day to install the unit. I called the week of and day prior to install to ensure that all was okay and was told by their office representative(Cheryl) that everything was in place for an 8am-10am install. The morning of the install one plumber (Clint) showed up to begin this process while another plumber was picking up the water heater. Apparently there was miscommunication on the ordering of the water heater (First American) so the plumbers left the house to move on to the next job with the instruction that they were going to try and get the other jobs done and come back. I received a call from the home warranty company around 9am stating the water heater was available and sitting at home depot for pickup. I called Crown's office and was told that I would hear back from them related to the install, and Cheryl said it had been passed off to the owner Jack and he was supposed to call me. This was at 10am on Friday 8/19. I called later(approx 4pm) in the day with no response and left messages asking for a call back so I knew what was happening. No phone call from Jack. I then called back on Monday(3 days later) asking for the same thing, I wanted to talk to the owner and decision maker about my experience that a client can be left sitting with no communication for 9 hours related to a water heater install. Again yesterday 8/23 I left another message asking to speak with Jack about a potential install. I received a phone call today that Jack and Crown Plumbing have reached out to First American Home Buyers Protection and rejected the install. This was a terrible experience for me, not only did the water heater not get installed, I took an entire personal day from work to ensure this process was taken care of, which it was not, and then the owner and decision maker didn't even have the resolve to return one of many phone calls to discuss what alternative options may be available for install schedule. I will gladly go forward with Best Choice Plumbing which is the new alternative that First American Scheduled for me

AHS sent them to replace a hot water sink dispenser. They came out and then said it would take extensive refitting in the amount of $450.00. AHS would not cover this amount. I really don’t think the plumber had a clue what he was doing. I could never get anyone to call me back and they just closed the service request. I paid the $100 feee and got nothing. I told them it did not work. I called another plumber and he will charge $150. Very poor business!

Jack, the Owner does not stand by his plumber's work or plumber's leak causing service call. Careless. Rude/Angry plumbers. If ZERO stars were an option, they would get 0! Unprofessional service, even when escalating the situation to the owner, Jack. Crown installed the wrong water heater (too small BTU of a tank) that was ordered by a home warranty company. Then, they missed 2 appointments (no CALLS to reschedule) to install the correct one, wasting our time waiting at home for their 4 hour window... The we missed one appointment, and they wanted to charge us an extra $100 return fee.

When the correct water heater arrived, I was at home and let the plumber come see the tank he would remove... it was 5:30 at night, he said I was his last call and was hoping to be done quickly... When he saw the water heater, he said- what's wrong with this one? The one I have on the truck is only 3,000 BTU more & really doesn't make a difference. Being a woman who knows NOTHING about water heaters, he assumed I would say - sure go home. But I called my partner, who told me the extra 3,000 BTU speeds up the recovery time... So please install the correct water heater. The guy wanted an extra $100 more (for missing an appointment) than we paid, but my partner called the owner (Jack) and explained that HIS COMPANY missed 2 appointments to our missing one, so the fee was waived. The plumber who wanted to get home was noticeably ANGRY to have to waste his time swapping out the water heater so late in the day... ONE PLUMBER was sent to remove and install the water heater. When he carelessly removed the older water heater, he knocked a copper line loose above the water heater and to the right... It started leaking the day after the CARELESS INSTALL and ruined a top shelf. Today, 9/27/16, Crown Plumbing, in their infinite wisdom, sent TWO PLUMBERS to fix the leak (if they had sent 2 plumbers the first time, maybe they would not have cause a leak in the first place). The head plumber said- that will be $100 co-pay to fix the leak!. My response was it didn't leak until your last ANGRY plumber installed the 3,000 BTU more water heater that he thought was a WASTE OF HIS TIME. So the head plumber texted/called JACK, the owner, and he showed me the text conversation that said - She is claiming we caused the leak JACK's response was WOW... SO they demanded $100 to fix the LEAK that THEY CAUSED...

Hi,
I wish I would have read reviews before hand. I also have an AHS home warranty and am not totally comfortable with the way Crown handled it. The plumber decided the reason my water heater was leaking was because of too much water pressure and said we needed a pressure reducer not covered by warranty. After installing it, he charged us more because of a crimped pipe that needed to be replaced. It may all be legit, but I have no way of knowing. Wish that I had asked for a second opinion before proceeding. If you are assigned Crown through AHS, proceed with caution.

Very professional work . Clint from Crown Plumbing came to my home and fixed a leak in the hot water pipe above the hot water heater . This happened before years ago and a plumber came and told us we needed a new hot water heater . We almost fell for it . But my wife somehow noticed that the leak was above the hot water heater . This time when it happened again Clint from Crown Plumbing came and fixed the leak and replaced the line leaving the hot water heater so that it will never happen again . We are so thankful for this companys honesty and outstanding work . I highly recommend Crown Plumbing .

1 because the guy showed up on time. Otherwise nightmare with this company.

They work with American home sheild. I made a claim becaise my water heater died. A guy came out and stated there were some code violations with the previous install and some extra work would need to be done. He was pretty quick to say the home warranty wouldn't cover it.

He said he had to make some calls and while he was out I checked my warranty, covers code violations and improper installations. The guy comes back and says they need to submit to the warranty company but they'll get approval that day. That day passes.

Today, the next day, I realize it's now the afternoon and still no word. So I call. No answer. Called 2 more times and left a message. No return phone call.

Call the home warranty company and they say the claim was denied. Asked why if I have the proper coverage and turns out, crown plumbing spun some crazy story about my crawl space collapsing which caused the claim to be denied.

Guess they're lazy and didn't want the job?

The worst experience with a service company that I have ever had. I cannot fully explain the depth of frustration, the wasted time, lack of respect, and shoddy workmanship.

4+, almost 5 months to replace a water heater and I now have a leak. One that they refuse to 6 nor even acknowledge. First trip, they brought the wrong water heater. Second trip they brought the wrong water heater again. Third trip they didn't show up call or otherwise notify us that they weren't coming for the appointment. The 4th appointment, they also did not show for that. Then nearly two months then went by with innumerable voicemails emails and text attempting to contact Crown Plumbing Representatives.( note: we missed the 5th appointment). The 6th appointment on August 30th this person proceeded to indicate that a cost was due for the work to replace the water heater. This required another hour long process and conference calls with various people at Crown Plumbing in order to validate that the additional work had been completed and paid for already. The service person then proceeded to, with no seeming care or respect for the equipment or house, install the water heater. .... we thought that that would be the end of it, but we were wrong... whether it was due to the inattention and lack of respect with which the water heater was installed, or it was the repeated installations and movement of the pipes, we don't know; however, unbeknownst to us he started a leak which when the next time we entered the furnace room had ruined our shelving. When we finally got them back out to address the issue, the next technician indicated it wasn't their fault we escalated to the owner, Jack. Jack indicated that the leak was not their fault and had been there previously. We we have the home inspection report and Company on record indicating no leak 18 months prior to this situation. We have the owner and three of the holder's family comma and two tenants who all have categorically stated at no time were there any leaks prior to the replacement of the water heater last time by Crown Plumbing. Additionally, Crown Plumbing had agreed to to Discount the service call Fee by half to $50 based on the issues we had in getting the correct water heater installed. After the last visit when the water heater was finally installed comic round public had agreed to waive the service call fee completely. We have subsequently received a bill for the $50 service fee, and Crown Plumbing is indicating that they did not waive any of that service fee.

Crown Plumbing is now refusing to deal with the leak and telling us that we must find someone else to resolve the issue incurring additional costs.

From horrific and non-existent communication to shoddy workmanship to poor customer service and misrepresentation... This is by far the worst experience with any service company that we have ever had. I would never recommend Crown Plumbing to anyone for any reason or any job small or large.

I was put into contact with this company through a home warranty service request. My crawl space had flooded and knocked out the heat and hot water. With the assumption the water must’ve come from the water heater I reached out to the plumber. Once contacted by the company I explained to the technician my home situation, the technician proceeded to schedule service appointment. After waiting at least 2-hours for the technician to show up...he indicated he couldn’t do anything with the water (never mention on phone call). When asked if he would come back out once water was cleared he indicated he would. Once water was cleared, the once responsive technician (prior to initial visit to home) became unresponsive to calls, texts, and voicemails. To this day I have not heard from the company to service my water heater.

My fiancé Corey and I had two appointments with Crown, first one to get our plumbing issues looked at, and 2nd one to get them fixed, where I planned to work from home to be there for them, and they never showed up for their scheduled appointments. My parents get in town on Monday for our wedding and now our plumbing issues still haven't been fixed. If you have a time schedule for getting your plumbing issues fixed, this is not the company to go with, as they are clearly unreliable in showing up for their scheduled appointments, which in my mind has shattered their accountability.

On 08/31/2018 at 10:38am, I placed a service request with American Home Shield to have a leak in my sink repaired. When the call was placed the AHS team member called Crown Plumbing to see if they would be able to assist with the call since the first company assigned no longer services my area. I am assuming they agreed because I received an email stating that I would be assigned to Crown Plumbing to repair my leak. The emails states the following:
If you have not already scheduled your service, your service contractor will contact you within the next 24 business hours to schedule your appointment. Please call your service contractor (above) should you have any questions or have not heard from them regarding scheduling an appointment.
I tried calling them on Tuesday after the holiday weekend to schedule the service. The phone rang and then indicated that the voicemail was full. I then took to the internet to look for another way to contact and found their webpage and was able to leave an inquiry note on there to have a call returned. They called me on Wednesday morning and told me that it would be Monday before they could come out to fix the sink. I was reluctant because I was hosting some company over the weekend and really wished I could have had it fixed before then but went ahead and scheduled the appointment for Monday repair.
On Friday 09/07 I received a call and subsequent voicemail that they were going to have to postpone my repair until Thursday or Friday of next week due to all of the service representatives being called out to an emergency.
I called back to schedule the new time and spoke to April. She again informed me of the same information that was left on the voicemail and said that they wouldn’t be able to get to me until next Thursday or Friday but then told me if I didn’t want to wait that long I could just call AHS back and have a new company assigned to the job. I told April that I was starting to get the feeling they just didn’t really want to do this job. Which is just how I truly felt at this point.
I can’t remember much of the interaction after this point but April got defensive with me and told me that I should just go ahead and call them to get a new company to come out although that wasn’t really what I wanted to do. I asked for her manager’s name and asked for a call from him which I am still waiting for but in the mean time they closed out my request with AHS saying that I was rude to them.
I would expect this type of service from a national company but certainly did not expect that from a hometown place.

I had this contractor assigned through AHS warranty. They installed a new hot water heater which leaked shortly after install and flooded my entire finished basement. They will not return calls and will not provide their insurance information. RUN RUN RUN from this company at all costs!!!!

Came out to my home to meet my wife for a hot water heater, blatantly lied to my wife about codes and the code book they used, I know this because I'm a licensed plumber. this is who my home warranty company sent out, better to pay minimal then have to pay for the heater myself. Told her we need multiple issues resolved..... Not the case, they were supposed to send me a quote, they did not, when called the phone was not answered and I still have no documents from them. Also the technicians that came made the wife uncomfortable.

Horrific. Jason came out, did a piss poor job on our shower handle installation. He did not caulk and the handle was not lined up with the wall. When we called Crown to have them come look at the job he did, they sent Jason again who walked right through my house, into my bathroom, snapped photos of the job and said, that's how we do it, if you don't like it then you need to caulk it yourself and you'll have to rip out the and retile the wall. Previous shower installation lined on the wall and was caulked just fine. He was arrogant, rude, and lacked customer service. Called Crown to try and resolve issue and am waiting on response. Do not do business with Crown.

By far the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. They didn't return my calls and refused to tell me the part number that they supposedly ordered. They tried to scam Americam Home Shields and myself. After three weeks and $75 later I had to hire a company that actually knew plumbing. Check out the nine complaints on the Better Business Bureau website as well. Do not trust them with your money, property, and plumbing.

I attempted to use this company for my business, but I gave up. They don’t answer their phone, when Amelia does get around to calling you back days later or you call again and catch her actually answering the phone she is rude, to then be told Todd has to schedule the work who is rude too. Todd won’t return phone calls or emails to schedule the work. After trying for two weeks to schedule the work, since this is my business, I had to give up and hire someone else. And they do not like to provide invoices which is unacceptable, still waiting on an invoice for services paid for months ago. Communication was awful on that job too. Bizarre, never experienced anything like it.

After reading these reviews it has become abundantly clear that we were given the most arrogant member of the team to attempt to our repair. Several questions were asked on behalf of the technician that went unanswered by us, simply because the overbearing know it all would interrupt each and every answer with his own assessment that quickly became accusatory. I didn’t break my valve that came with the older home that we purchase, but I did pay for an insurance policy that would allow peace of mind in the event something should go wrong. After attempting to fix the problem the first time using our policy to no avail, we set up an appointment to have a tech come out again. I crossed my fingers and hoped it wouldn’t be the same tech but unfortunately it was his smug face, and bright earring that I once again had to deal with. I’m sure management knows who I’m speaking of. I’m also sure coworkers and I can only assume ex wives can attest to this behavior, and I’m positive the other reviews mentioning an a hole as their tech, is in fact this guy. He may know everything, but I’m sure that more customers will experience a sense of overwhelming domination than being able to rely on sensible, open ended communication about a plumbing issue. Absolute Loser. And we’re still without resolution. It’s not this company, It’s one person.

My experience with Crown Plumbing was AWESOME! Scott was on time, courtesy and professional, quickly solved my problem and provided advice to avoid the problem in the future. I will definitely specifically request Crown through my Home Warranty Program in the future and if I choose not to renew my Home Warranty you will be my Plumbers of choice.

Crown Plumbing is the absolute worst service I have ever gotten. This is the third trip they were supposed to make to fix a tiny little unit on my water heater. The first time they didn't show the second time they didn't have the right part of the third time was today. They were supposed to be here by 10 and done by 11am. They didn't get here till close to 12 and now he wants till 2 p.m. I doubt he'll be gone by 3 or 4 and I'm sure nobody else will get service today. I had to use them because of my warranty company which also sucks. Don't use American Home Shield either. They stick me with these jerks that don't know what they're doing- it's the absolute worst service ever! Ever!

I can't even begin to express my gratitude for the work done by Clint at our home. As first time home buyers we were devastated to find out we had a plumbing issue within the first few days of living there but thanks to the excellent work and quick response to our needs we were back to enjoying our new home! Thank you so much for the awesome work, we will definitely be recommending you to our friends and family!

The one star gives this company too much credit. Absolutely terrible. Called them after seeing our main water line valve was leaking after closing on our house. I scheduled an appointment to have them come out and fix it. They made the appointment and told me they would be there between 11-1 on a Wednesday. Well, that time window passed, I had received no call from them telling me they were going to be late or had to reschedule. No one ever showed up. And when I called, no one answered, so I left a message. No one returned my call, shocker. Also, the receptionist (or whoever answers their phone) seemed confused. Didn't seem to understand what a main water line valve was even after I explained it.... should've been my first clue. (Not that I expect office based people to be experts in the field, but even I know what a main water line valve is). Don't even bother with this unprofessional company, it's a waste of time.

I was assigned to this company by American Home Shield to fix my water heater. I canceled my appointment with them and my warranty company tried to still charge me a $75 trip charge. I spoke to April and she called them and got me refund and called me back to tell me ASAP. Great customer service!

Crown plumbing was assigned by home warranty AHS. Clint came out diagonsed the issue which then had to get it approved by AHS. Within a week he was out to fix the leak and explained in detail what he was going to do. Clint was AWESOME and I’m very statisifed with my experience. Clint was polite, professional and they are quick to reply be email.

I found Crown Plumbing to be highly unreliable. After scheduling an appointment with Crown Plumbing 4 days ago to repair a leaky inoperative sink, I left work early and commuted an hour to meet Crown Plumbers at the designated time wherein Crown Plumbing cancelled after our appointment time to inform me that they were running late and were cancelling our appointment. They refused to arrive late, and refused to send another plumber.

RUN AWAY FROM CROWN PLUMBING AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!! I hired this company to fix a gas leak at 1319 North Detroit and they FAILED miserably. I paid them $1,112 as they said it was repaired.....Excel shut the gas off immediately because the job was not done so poorly. Not only did CROWN NOT RETURN TO FIX IT, they continue to ignore my phone calls. My tenants are now staying in hotels until I can find another company to do this simple repair. DO NOT USE CROWN! FILING COMPLAINTS IMMEDIATELY!!

I suspect insurance FRAUD! We recently purchased a 10 year old home and to hedge our bets also purchased an American Home Shield insurance plan to cover all of our appliances for the first year. As luck had it, our pilot light on our water heater would go out intermittently but could always eventually be re-lit. After calling AHS insurance, they sent Crown Plumbing to the rescue, however, Crown Plumbing didn't even bother to bring a life raft or one tool! He went straight to the water heater, didn't bother to inspect the pilot light and thermocouple, which by the way is something a five year can access, and proceeded straight to his diagnosis. “......since the problem couldn't be replicated at the time of inspection that nothing could be done. He also said .... it may be due to the age of the unit and that someone from the office would follow-up with us within a day or two. There was no follow-up call and since there was no introduction or card given to us by the tech we contacted AHS to inquire, AHS reported that Crown Plumbing submitted documentation stating that our water heater was in working order and that he spent 45 minutes on-site, apparently Crown Plumbing uses a different time system than most of us because it was more like 5. I suspect Crown Plumbing pops out a few of these insurance calls to get a few quick bucks from the insurance companies ultimately leaving you without a fix and dealing with the insurance company. AHS did send another company out and the problem was diagnosed and fixed in 30 minutes. He looked at the thermocouple and instantly could tell it was bad and we haven't had a problem since, no thanks to Clown Plumbing.

John came out yesterday to fix a toilet leak/drip. He was able to come in identify the problem, explain to me what was needed and fixed it right away. He was very professional and spoke in normal terms that I could understand. He even pointed out some other things I should keep an eye on. No up sell, just an easy fix.
Also, the scheduling department was able to get someone out here the SAME DAY!
Highly recommend.

Quality work. Warranty and all. But ridiculously expensive!
Job quoted on site sounded high, but hey. . . also sounded honestly difficult. I'm not the expert, so moved forward. Scheduled for several days later, and the 2 guys got the job done in 1.5 hours. About half of the expected time. They shaved the price from $900 to $850 and extended the warranty to 18 months. Yay, still seems high. At the hardware store for other stuff and I saw the parts they used: Totaled like $150.
So:
1 guy for a 30min quote, then 2 guys on job for 1.5 hrs. . . $700 labor divided by 3.5 man hours. . . Thats $200 an hour.

Guess I should have been a plumber.

Professional and courteous? NO.
If you'd like to send emails which are never responded to, then hire this company. If you'd like to be argued with by their staff girl (Megan?, Melanie? It really doesn't matter...), then hire this company. If you'd like to feel as though your business doesn't matter with a girl whose customer service skills are as far out of reach as the planet Jupiter, then by all means, hire this company. Just plain rude and unprofessional. I suggest she learn better conversation skills and not speak as though she is on Tumblr.

These guys are the real deal... You get what you pay for... Roto Rooter came out and the gentleman said, sorry man can't help you out then left just about as fast as he showed up. Les from Crown came out diagnosed the problem, and fixed it. Customer service to the max and did the job right. We've been having problems for years with this building and now we don't have to worry about the building flooding because he put in a new back flow outside of the building... Huge relief. Thanks Les
