I can't recommend this company enough. Second time I've worked with them.

They are reasonably priced (I got a second quote that was 2 to 3x the cost with Around the Clog). The team shows up on time, they're friendly, got the job done quickly and professionally, and both times I learned some things from them.

I appreciate their work and their values and think you will, too.

I have hired Around the Clog three times and been so pleased every time with the level/quality of service and fair pricing. Once for adding a water supply line to the exterior, another time to diagnosis of/repairing brown water in the bathroom, and most recently getting to our house quickly to clean our sewer and rescope it to save our real estate sale from falling through due to a bad inspection done a few days prior. I also love that they never ask for a review but clearly people love them as you can see from their current rating. I almost never leave a review but am so grateful for the great service I received again from this team, I felt compelled to write something.

Really great experience with these guys! They were able to come do a toilet install within 24 hours of me calling. They were right on time and got the job done quick. The price they quoted me was what they charged and was the most reasonable price I found in the area. Will definitely use again!

Around the Clog replaced a gas water heater fast and and at a fair price with excellent communication and workmanship.

Very poor response time and does not warranty work or parts. This ‘company’ is extremely unprofessional. I will never use them again.

I was a fan of Around the Clog as soon as I realized I could interact with them via email instead of phone calls because I really don't like phone calls. They were super responsive during the scheduling and quote process. The two plumbers who installed our water heater were *so good* about putting shoe covers on every time they came in the house. These guys are now our go-to-plumbers. The team that came was professional and resolved an issue with our old bathtub plumbing.-Helped us make a more permanent fix by replacing a very rusted pipe! The team was obviously very experienced and we are so happy we chose them! Super reasonable.

THIS IS MY FIRST NEGATIVE REVIEW EVER!! AVOID THIS PLUMBER!!! They responded to this rating to justify their service. They were argumentative and defensive on the phone. They did not try to rectify the situation. I had a leaky faucet. They charged me $370 because their plumber couldn’t figure out how to put the faucet back together. I used to be a long time customer of this business. No More!! To start with they sent 2 plumbers to my house, One stood around and did absolutely nothing and I still had to pay for both. They came to fix 2 leaking sinks in my master bath. It was a straight forward job, but it took them 2 hours to figure out how to put the faucet back on. I was told their rates had changed AFTER they finished the job. It took them 2 hours to fix. I was charged $395 and I didn’t need parts. NEVER AGAIN. (This is the first review I have ever left. I wanted to warn others.)

We were one of many people severely affected by the Boulder floods back in September 2013. We had just purchased our home and not more than two weeks after we moved in, we were inundated with 3-days of sewage backup the left us homeless for two months. During that very busy and emotional time, we--like so many others--needed a plumber to help get us back in our home. Doug was recommended to us. Not only did he find time to come to our home almost daily within a few hours after we called, but he did a stellar job. There were times when he went to the Home Depot with my husband to help pick out the most cost effective materials, then came back and showed him how to do things himself to cut down on our costs. When all was said and done, Doug handed my husband a bill for $3,000, then promptly tore it up and, speaking as one Dad to another, and asked him to pay only a fraction of the cost. In a time of great need when Doug could have easily charged us full cost for his services and moved on, he did not. Instead, he showed compassion and was a true example of giving back to and supporting his community. Doug and his wife are phenomenal people who also happen to run a phenomenal business. I recommend them 100%.

I needed two faucets to be replaced and a slow leak from a toilet tank to be fixed. The plumbers from Around the Clog showed up on time, did the work efficiently, and the cost was consistent with their initial estimate (which was a lower price than several other estimates I received). I highly recommend their work.

I can't rave enough about Doug and his team, who installed a tankless water heater for us. Doug is more than a superb plumber; he is a problem-solver! He listened well, gave us good advice, and never tried to sell us the more expensive models. He looked at our house and needs, and suggested one that would work well for us. We called Around the Clog on a Friday afternoon as we noticed water coming through a light in our ceiling. He also explained other improvements that could be made over time. The price was quite fair (I noticed they do not have new Mercedes service vehicles). I have had a positive impression of ATC since they fixed an irrigation pipe leak for me 5 years ago. They did a good job at a fair price, and, they seem to be nice people. It seems that the pricing has gone up as the years have gone by and on a recent job it reached insane heights! Our kitchen faucet sprang a leak and because it wasn't clear where the leak was, we decided to have them come in. It was the output hose on faucet that had sprung a leak and they charged us $175 for a 20 minute job to swap the hose. To their credit, they swapped in a discarded hose from another job and didn't charge us for that hose. That substitute hose leaked around the spray connection because it wasn't the correct part so I obtained a proper replacement hose through Amazon for $16 and swapped it in myself in 15 minutes. Lesson learned: be very clear about costs up front to avoid a bad surprise on the back end because it seems like they now will charge whatever the market will bear! Nobody, me included, likes to be taken advantage of.

Doug is the man! I put my husband in charge (I had to go into work) of greeting the plumber/making sure he fixed both showers. I thought we were in for a big bill/possibly cutting the tile to get at the pipes. But Doug knows his stuff (per my husband who is cautions of everyone) and was able to get the job(s) fixed quickly at a reasonable fee! Thank you !

Had a main sewer line backup on a Sunday afternoon. Contacted them Monday morning and they were able to help that same day. Came out and cleared the main line of tree roots. They were punctual, pleasant, quick, and thorough. And, they charged a completely reasonable price for the service. I absolutely recommend them and will always use them from now on.

The leak they found was in our irrigation system, and plumbers don't do irrigation - sprinkler companies do. However, the guys that came were professional, knowledgeable, polite, and accurate. The service call charge was reasonable, especially considering they found the root of the problem. I would use this company again.

Around the Clog did a great job fixing some plumbing problems at my place. They arrived when they said they would and they were quick to assess the problems and propose solutions. They explained everything to me clearly and answered all of my questions. Most importantly, they did good work and did it quickly.

My experience with Around the Clog was a very positive one. I described the issue I was having with the toilet, which was a very slow and difficult to diagnose/correct leak. They suggested a few potential fixes, but I decided it was time to get an expert in to fix it. She told me about the service charge, and I received a confirmation email with the time estimate when Mike would arrive. Everything went as described, and Mike was able to identify and fix the leak. I paid a fair amount for the replacement parts, as well as the service charge. I am quite satisfied with the end result, and would recommend this company.

I am a Lafayette resident, and a neighbor's recommendation of Around the Clog led me to call them. I was embarking on my own DIY repair, and realized i could mess it up worse, so I decided to check on their prices.

I called on a weekend, and was very pleased to hear that there was no weekend surcharge (at the time of this writing). They dispatched Kyle in less than two hours, and he was perfectly prompt, clean, professional and very competent.

When Doug started diagnosing the problem of a tiny leak, I felt that the Doctor Had Made A House Call. He is knowledgeable and seemed happy with the challenge. While here, Doug and Mike attended to two other issues, though small, were demanding my attention. I was very pleased with their service and kindness.

I was able to make an appointment for the next day and Heather gave me an estimate of how much the service would cost. She was super helpful and courteous. I broke my main intake valve and had no water in the house on a saturday. I have twin one year old daughters and could not make it the whole weekend without water. I called Around the Clog and Doug was there within an hour, fixed the problem, and didn't charge me extra for the weekend call. We called for a water heater replace and Around the Clog installed it the same day for a competitive price. While there were some issues that caused delays with the installation Doug kept with it and finished it up late in the evening. I am not sure others would have been that diligent. We will use them again as the need arises.

Around the Clog is a great family-owned plumbing business. Doug, the owner, does excellent work at a very fair price and stands behind his work. I had a toilet overflow issue early Monday morning. Around the Clog quickly sent over Mike to assess and solve the issue, which turned out to be roots. Mike quickly cleaned out the roots and then cleaned up the bathroom floor where he was working. I couldn't have been happier with the professionalism Mike exhibited and how quickly this issue was resolved. I highly recommend Around the Clog.

The disposal had been installed originally by another company. The tenant reported it was leaking and Around The Clog came to the rescue. They are our go to plumbers! They quickly determined it had been installed incorrectly (not turned until it clicked) so that when it was in use the vibration had loosened up the connection to the sink over time. They were able to quickly fix the install and seal up the connection to the sink. No more leak!

Around the Clog just replaced our water heater. Just don't look around for any other companies. All the pros came in and did the swap fast. Their work is perfect!

Fantastic response. Called for a clogged toilet that would drain even after plunging attempts. Called at 3:30 and he was at the house by 4!!!
Mike knew from my description of details that the clog was not too far off. But his first attempt with a shorter tool was ineffective. He brought in a longer snake, removed the toilet and found the clog about 11 feet in. Replaced the seal and put the toilet back and was done in less than an hour. Great customers support on the call and solid service on site. I highly recommend them. Glad they're a local company and will know to use them for any other plumbing issues.

It was New Year's Day when I got back to my apartment after being gone for 2 weeks. In my haste to catch a flight 14 days prior, I had turned OFF my heat during one of the coldest snaps of the year. Yeah. Needless to say, I was jet lagged, freezing, and in complete hysterics, standing in several inches of water in my bathroom, trying to contain, in vain, a porcelain Niagara Falls. I called Doug at 10:30 PM. Without hesitation, he came to my rescue. On a holiday, no less! He was able to clear the ice blockage in the pipe that was causing the back flow and he even got my heat to turn back on. Total cost? Just $80. I will forever remain loyal to the professional, prompt service that Around the Clog provided and I have recommended the company to all of my colleagues. On a different occasion, Doug also cleared a stubborn blockage in my garage disposal. Another moment of brilliance when I poured rice down the drain.

Had a problem with the main line drain in our house late evening on a Sunday. Called Doug from AtC and he was at our place in less than half an hour. He snaked the drain, (read fixed the issue) and was professional and efficient the whole time. He did a great job, and was in and out in ~1 hour. I will definitely recommend him to anyone who needs drain services in the future.

I had a drainage problem at a rental. They came in and ended up doing an emergency late-night fix, adding a clean-out system to enable a correct router-rooting working with the parts they had on-hand. They solved the stop-up problem. They (Doug) then returned later to clean up the late-night fix, with some more specific parts to make the fix cleaner and long lasting. I have in the past, and continue to highly recommend this company.

These professionals are supermen/women! Although I had never used them in the past, they responded immediately to my flooding/leaking issue. Diagnosed the problem quickly so that I could stop the leak and returned the next day to make repairs. They helped/advised me to accomplish the next necessary steps including finding someone to do mold remediation and dry wall repair. My heroes!

Get in line early -- Doug is in high demand, for good reason. He's a pro at diagnosing and fixing problems, gives great customer service, and offered tips on how to avoid potential future problems when he made a service call to our house regarding a kitchen sink/plumbing issue. I found Around the Clog on Google. I had considered going with 2 other bigger plumbing companies, but one I know is super expensive and the other wanted to charge me $60 dollars just to come to my house. So I started reading reviews...and I found this great local company. I called in the evening on a Wednesday to make a next day appointment (while talking to one of the owners late at night, NOT a machine). The Plumber arrived on the front end of the time frame given which was a pleasant surprise.

I believe it was a gentlemen named Kyle that came to my home. He was polite, efficient, and respectful of my home. On top of that I was bracing myself for a charge that would have been more inline with what I have paid in the past with those big companies, but I paid a VERY fair price and it was FAR under what I was bracing myself for.

I will ONLY use this company in the future.

Around the Clog is family owned and operated. Doug is amazing. He is prompt, professional, respectful and tidy. He is willing to tackle simple and complex problems and stays with them until completely resolved. I have worked with many come-and-go plumbers and other installers that had to connect with the plumbing in my 30 years in this house. Doug has been able to expertly clean up their messes and mine. Recently, I had a cleaning rag jump out of a bucket I was emptying into the toilet and rush down the drain. Since my set-up requires that water pass through a lift pump, I panicked knowing that the 12 ounce fluffy cloth in the system could do very bad things. We recently had a backed up sewer line, and we had it cleared out by another company (we had not heard of Around the Clog at the time). After a camera inspection, the other company tried to push us to replace parts of the sewer line (for $4800) where - according to them - we had a real problem. We wanted a second opinion and asked Around the Clog to do a camera inpection, and Doug, the owner, came and did it. He told us that all was well with our sewer line, and that he would only recommend clearing out some small tree roots every other year. Doug was competent, and honest, in addition to being punctual and a really nice guy, and he saved us major cost and landscaping hassle. The next time we have plumbing issue, we will certainly go to Around the Clog again!

Bottom line - I'll be using Around The Clog again and again in the future. Long story short, I first called a competitor based on an online review which ended in me telling the guy to pack his tools and leave the property due to an inconsistency of costs quoted over the phone (nearly doubled once they arrived) which is understandable in come cases but not in this case. I then called Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and asked who they recommend. They gave me Doug and Tanya's contact and not only was the work completed promptly and professionally, Doug and Tanya have the Can Do attitude I search for in any contractor I use. I cannot thank the folks at Around the Clog enough for the service they provided me yesterday. I called in a panic because I had sewage backing up into my bathtub. They had some one at my house within a couple hours and the issue was fixed before noon. What a relief! Jared and Tonya were great to work with and while I hope it is a long time before I have to call them again, I would do so in a heartbeat. Turned my terrible morning around quickly!

This is the ONLY plumber I will ever use. Prompt replies, quick and friendly service, reasonable prices. I am not sure how many times they have come out over the years, but the service is always above and beyond. I had a main line that was backing up - not totally blocked yet, but I was willing to take 3 minute showers and go to the laundromat for over a week, because I just don't trust anyone else. Courteous, Professional and Efficient. They diagnosed and fixed my clogging issues in two bathrooms within 45 minutes. This is a good value and great company.

Very Friendly and Prompt Service Until an Issue Afterwards, then Nothing.

We called Around the Clog to have two items taken care of:
1) The water pressure setting was a bit too low (45 pps) and needed to be increased to around 65 pps.
2) Our liquid propane grill needed to be converted to use natural gas.

Heather, who helped us schedule the appointment was very friendly and scheduling was a breeze. Doug who performed the work was also quite friendly and seemed knowledgable about the work being done.

The water pressure change went off without a hitch. Doug was also able to swap the liquid propane regulator to the grill with a natural gas regulator and tested that the burners worked.

The next day when we were trying to use the grill we could not get the grill temperature above 250 degrees when we would normally have been able to get it to 500 pretty quickly. I left a couple messages with Heather to have Doug call me so I could see what he thought the problem was but never heard back from him.

Afterward I did my own research on the Internet to see if others had the same problem I found that in addition to the regulator change the burner gas orifices also need to be changed to work with natural gas. If Doug new this, he did not mention it to me. If he didn't then perhaps he isn't as knowledgable as he seemed. Either way, it was a disappointment that probably could have been avoided.

We had a sewage backup the day before in-laws arrived for a multi-day visit. Around the Clog guys came by and cleared the main drain on the same day we called them. They showed up right on time and were very friendly and helpful!

They installed toilets in our home and didnt install the ring correctly which caused a major leak that ended up in over $1400 to repair. After a long process we settled that their insurance will pay us $500 and they will add $250. We got the check from the insurance company but never saw the money from Around the Clog. If you want to be covered I'll go with another company.

We had a small leak in some piping in our basement. We had a plumber come out (who, to their credit, came out almost immediately), and quoted the job at $1700. Unfortunately for them, we know tangentially about plumbing and knew that the material cost was maybe 30 dollars...so we declined their offer and started wondering if we should just make the time to do it ourselves (which we just dont have otherwise we definitely would have lol).

Fortunately, we contacted Around the Clog who was able to make it out pretty quick (we called the Wednesday evening and they said they could be out Thursday at 9...showed up this morning at 8 - win!). They estimated the job over the phone, at a quarter of what the previous plumber had quoted us as so we already felt good about these guys but when the gentlemen got her this morning...not only were they super respectful (wearing shoe coverings and being really understanding about them having gotten here early - offering to wait if we would prefer) but they also did the job super quick.

Then when it was done...I overheard our plumber on the phone with the office going to bat for us...saying 'the materials were xx dollars and they were only here for xx time and he wanted to lower the estimated cost'

After it was all said and done...$367!!! We definitely found a go-to plumber. Thanks a bunch!

I'm a DIY kind of a gal, but sometimes you need the right tools. I thought I could clear my drain but all I had was an eight dollar sink snake. It would've taken me all day to clear out the clog. I called Around the Clog Nov 18th and left a message. A couple hours later they had not returned my call. I called again and Heather was unapologetic. The first appointment they could give me was Nov 30th between 8:30 - 9:00 am. I told them I didn't live at the unit and asked to be given 20 min lead time to meet Doug there. Heather agreed to having Doug call me so I would know he was coming.

On the evening of Nov 29th, I called and left a message that I hadn't heard from them confirming the appointment, and reminded them to please give me 20 min lead time.

This morning, Nov 30th, I received a call that Doug was at the address already. The girl who called was not Heather; I don't know her name. She was upset at me for not being there. She said it was only 30 minutes, indicating I could go and wait for Doug. I said I didn't want to possibly wait in my car for 30 minutes. She said this rudely . . . well it isn't my fault, so what do you want? I said an apology would work. She said there were no notes in the file to call me and a few more things and hung up on me.

So, they didn't return my call, I had to wait 10 days for an appointment, and they didn't give me 20 minutes lead time so I knew they were coming, and she didn't apologize, and she was rude.

I don't know if they are good at plumbing because I didn't get a chance to see their work.

Around the Clog was great. I called in the morning and they were here in the afternoon right on time. Scheduling was easy and the guys were professional and courteous. Would definitely recommend them.

They cleared a clog in my main sewer line. Seemed ok for two weeks then the clog came back. I called and left a message about the issue. Didn’t get a return call. I called five other times, no answer. I finally called a different company who came out same day and cleared the line fully.

A few days after I moved into my home, the sewer backed up. I called one of the big name companies, and they tried unsuccessfully to remove the clog with a rooter. They wanted $5000 to dig up my front yard and replace the sewer pipe.

I called Around the Clog early the next morning, and someone was over 30 minutes later. He successfully cleared the clog with his rooter, charged me $100 for the job, and was on his way. Turns out the previous owners flushed rags down the toilet. Also note, the other company still charged me $150 for their unsuccessful attempt to remove the clog. I would use Around the Clog again in a heartbeat, and have recommended them to several friends.

Absolutely the worst, most unprofessional tradesman I've ever had work on my house. Ran the drain snake up through a vent on the roof instead of the clogged sewer line. Spent 1 1/2 hours wearing out the inside of the pipes until my wife noticed he had snagged our smoker and cover on the back deck and told him. They knocked $30 off for ruining the cover but left the shredded mess on the deck. The toilet rocks side to side which it did not before. They got wax from the toilet ring on the carpet and left water, and some kind of grease on the floor the crawlspace. Beware!

I have hired Around the Clog three times and been so pleased every time with the level/quality of service and fair pricing. Once for adding a water supply line to the exterior, another time to diagnosis of/repairing brown water in the bathroom, and most recently getting to our house quickly to clean our sewer and rescope it to save our real estate sale from falling through due to a bad inspection done a few days prior. I also love that they never ask for a review but clearly people love them as you can see from their current rating. THIS IS MY FIRST NEGATIVE REVIEW EVER!! AVOID THIS PLUMBER!!! They responded to this rating to justify their service. They were argumentative and defensive on the phone. They did not try to rectify the situation. I had a leaky faucet. They charged me $370 because their plumber couldn’t figure out how to put the faucet back together. I used to be a long time customer of this business. No More!! To start with they sent 2 plumbers to my house, One stood around and did absolutely nothing and I still had to pay for both. They came to fix 2 leaking sinks in my master bath. It was a straight forward job, but it took them 2 hours to figure out how to put the faucet back on. I was told their rates had changed AFTER they finished the job. It took them 2 hours to fix. I was charged $395 and I didn’t need parts. NEVER AGAIN. (This is the first review I have ever left. I wanted to warn others.)

We were one of many people severely affected by the Boulder floods back in September 2013. We had just purchased our home and not more than two weeks after we moved in, we were inundated with 3-days of sewage backup the left us homeless for two months. During that very busy and emotional time, we--like so many others--needed a plumber to help get us back in our home. Doug was recommended to us. Not only did he find time to come to our home almost daily within a few hours after we called, but he did a stellar job. There were times when he went to the Home Depot with my husband to help pick out the most cost effective materials, then came back and showed him how to do things himself to cut down on our costs. When all was said and done, Doug handed my husband a bill for $3,000, then promptly tore it up and, speaking as one Dad to another, and asked him to pay only a fraction of the cost. In a time of great need when Doug could have easily charged us full cost for his services and moved on, he did not. Instead, he showed compassion and was a true example of giving back to and supporting his community. Doug and his wife are phenomenal people who also happen to run a phenomenal business. I recommend them 100%.

I needed two faucets to be replaced and a slow leak from a toilet tank to be fixed. We called Around the Clog on a Friday afternoon as we noticed water coming through a light in our ceiling. I have had a positive impression of ATC since they fixed an irrigation pipe leak for me 5 years ago. They did a good job at a fair price, and, they seem to be nice people. It seems that the pricing has gone up as the years have gone by and on a recent job it reached insane heights! Our kitchen faucet sprang a leak and because it wasn't clear where the leak was, we decided to have them come in. It was the output hose on faucet that had sprung a leak and they charged us $175 for a 20 minute job to swap the hose. To their credit, they swapped in a discarded hose from another job and didn't charge us for that hose. That substitute hose leaked around the spray connection because it wasn't the correct part so I obtained a proper replacement hose through Amazon for $16 and swapped it in myself in 15 minutes. Lesson learned: be very clear about costs up front to avoid a bad surprise on the back end because it seems like they now will charge whatever the market will bear! Nobody, me included, likes to be taken advantage of.

Doug is the man! I put my husband in charge (I had to go into work) of greeting the plumber/making sure he fixed both showers. I thought we were in for a big bill/possibly cutting the tile to get at the pipes. Had a main sewer line backup on a Sunday afternoon. Contacted them Monday morning and they were able to help that same day. Came out and cleared the main line of tree roots. They were punctual, pleasant, quick, and thorough. And, they charged a completely reasonable price for the service. I absolutely recommend them and will always use them from now on.

The leak they found was in our irrigation system, and plumbers don't do irrigation - sprinkler companies do. However, the guys that came were professional, knowledgeable, polite, and accurate. Around the Clog did a great job fixing some plumbing problems at my place. They arrived when they said they would and they were quick to assess the problems and propose solutions. My experience with Around the Clog was a very positive one. I described the issue I was having with the toilet, which was a very slow and difficult to diagnose/correct leak. They suggested a few potential fixes, but I decided it was time to get an expert in to fix it. I called on a weekend, and was very pleased to hear that there was no weekend surcharge (at the time of this writing). They dispatched Kyle in less than two hours, and he was perfectly prompt, clean, professional and very competent.

I broke my main intake valve and had no water in the house on a saturday. I have twin one year old daughters and could not make it the whole weekend without water. I had a toilet overflow issue early Monday morning. Around the Clog quickly sent over Mike to assess and solve the issue, which turned out to be roots. The disposal had been installed originally by another company. The tenant reported it was leaking and Around The Clog came to the rescue. They are our go to plumbers! They quickly determined it had been installed incorrectly (not turned until it clicked) so that when it was in use the vibration had loosened up the connection to the sink over time. They were able to quickly fix the install and seal up the connection to the sink. No more leak!

Fantastic response. Called for a clogged toilet that would drain even after plunging attempts. Called at 3:30 and he was at the house by 4!!!
Mike knew from my description of details that the clog was not too far off. But his first attempt with a shorter tool was ineffective. He brought in a longer snake, removed the toilet and found the clog about 11 feet in. Replaced the seal and put the toilet back and was done in less than an hour. Great customers support on the call and solid service on site. I highly recommend them. Glad they're a local company and will know to use them for any other plumbing issues.

It was New Year's Day when I got back to my apartment after being gone for 2 weeks. In my haste to catch a flight 14 days prior, I had turned OFF my heat during one of the coldest snaps of the year. Yeah. Needless to say, I was jet lagged, freezing, and in complete hysterics, standing in several inches of water in my bathroom, trying to contain, in vain, a porcelain Niagara Falls. I called Doug at 10:30 PM. Without hesitation, he came to my rescue. On a holiday, no less! He was able to clear the ice blockage in the pipe that was causing the back flow and he even got my heat to turn back on. Total cost? Just $80. I will forever remain loyal to the professional, prompt service that Around the Clog provided and I have recommended the company to all of my colleagues. On a different occasion, Doug also cleared a stubborn blockage in my garage disposal. Another moment of brilliance when I poured rice down the drain.

Had a problem with the main line drain in our house late evening on a Sunday. Called Doug from AtC and he was at our place in less than half an hour. He snaked the drain, (read fixed the issue) and was professional and efficient the whole time. He did a great job, and was in and out in ~1 hour. I had a drainage problem at a rental. They came in and ended up doing an emergency late-night fix, adding a clean-out system to enable a correct router-rooting working with the parts they had on-hand. They solved the stop-up problem. They (Doug) then returned later to clean up the late-night fix, with some more specific parts to make the fix cleaner and long lasting. I have in the past, and continue to highly recommend this company.

I found Around the Clog on Google. I had considered going with 2 other bigger plumbing companies, but one I know is super expensive and the other wanted to charge me $60 dollars just to come to my house. So I started reading reviews...and I found this great local company. I called in the evening on a Wednesday to make a next day appointment (while talking to one of the owners late at night, NOT a machine). The Plumber arrived on the front end of the time frame given which was a pleasant surprise.

I believe it was a gentlemen named Kyle that came to my home. He was polite, efficient, and respectful of my home. On top of that I was bracing myself for a charge that would have been more inline with what I have paid in the past with those big companies, but I paid a VERY fair price and it was FAR under what I was bracing myself for.

He is willing to tackle simple and complex problems and stays with them until completely resolved. We recently had a backed up sewer line, and we had it cleared out by another company (we had not heard of Around the Clog at the time). After a camera inspection, the other company tried to push us to replace parts of the sewer line (for $4800) where - according to them - we had a real problem. We wanted a second opinion and asked Around the Clog to do a camera inpection, and Doug, the owner, came and did it. He told us that all was well with our sewer line, and that he would only recommend clearing out some small tree roots every other year. Doug was competent, and honest, in addition to being punctual and a really nice guy, and he saved us major cost and landscaping hassle. The next time we have plumbing issue, we will certainly go to Around the Clog again!

They cost a little more than the company I had hired previously for the same problem ... BUT I hired the previous company TWICE to fix the same problem, only to have it reappear shortly afterwards. So in the end, it would have been more economical to have just hired Around the Clog in the first place. Highly recommend them!

Bottom line - I'll be using Around The Clog again and again in the future. Long story short, I first called a competitor based on an online review which ended in me telling the guy to pack his tools and leave the property due to an inconsistency of costs quoted over the phone (nearly doubled once they arrived) which is understandable in come cases but not in this case. I then called Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and asked who they recommend. They gave me Doug and Tanya's contact and not only was the work completed promptly and professionally, Doug and Tanya have the Can Do attitude I search for in any contractor I use. Doug solved the problem others wouldn't touch and it was easier and faster than the others said it would be. Around The Clog is now my go to plumbing referral source.

IVe used Around the Clog repeatedly over the past five years for everything from clogged drains to most recently a hot water heater install. The service is always prompt, friendly, and thorough. After finding Around the Clog, I've never used a different plumber. Their work is top notch, while having very reasonable prices. Not great. Didn't seem to really be experience, spent longer than it seemed it should have taken, and then didn't receive a bill for months. Wrote back to ask why the delayed billing, never got a response - just another bill with late fees accrued. Can't recommend.

I cannot thank the folks at Around the Clog enough for the service they provided me yesterday. I called in a panic because I had sewage backing up into my bathtub. They had some one at my house within a couple hours and the issue was fixed before noon. What a relief! This is the ONLY plumber I will ever use. Prompt replies, quick and friendly service, reasonable prices. I am not sure how many times they have come out over the years, but the service is always above and beyond. I had a main line that was backing up - not totally blocked yet, but I was willing to take 3 minute showers and go to the laundromat for over a week, because I just don't trust anyone else. Courteous, Professional and Efficient. They diagnosed and fixed my clogging issues in two bathrooms within 45 minutes. This is a good value and great company.

Very Friendly and Prompt Service Until an Issue Afterwards, then Nothing.

We called Around the Clog to have two items taken care of:
1) The water pressure setting was a bit too low (45 pps) and needed to be increased to around 65 pps.
2) Our liquid propane grill needed to be converted to use natural gas.

Heather, who helped us schedule the appointment was very friendly and scheduling was a breeze. Doug who performed the work was also quite friendly and seemed knowledgable about the work being done.

The water pressure change went off without a hitch. Doug was also able to swap the liquid propane regulator to the grill with a natural gas regulator and tested that the burners worked.

The next day when we were trying to use the grill we could not get the grill temperature above 250 degrees when we would normally have been able to get it to 500 pretty quickly. I left a couple messages with Heather to have Doug call me so I could see what he thought the problem was but never heard back from him.

Afterward I did my own research on the Internet to see if others had the same problem I found that in addition to the regulator change the burner gas orifices also need to be changed to work with natural gas. If Doug new this, he did not mention it to me. If he didn't then perhaps he isn't as knowledgable as he seemed. Either way, it was a disappointment that probably could have been avoided.

We had a sewage backup the day before in-laws arrived for a multi-day visit. Around the Clog guys came by and cleared the main drain on the same day we called them. They showed up right on time and were very friendly and helpful!

They installed toilets in our home and didnt install the ring correctly which caused a major leak that ended up in over $1400 to repair. After a long process we settled that their insurance will pay us $500 and they will add $250. We got the check from the insurance company but never saw the money from Around the Clog. If you want to be covered I'll go with another company.

We had a small leak in some piping in our basement. We had a plumber come out (who, to their credit, came out almost immediately), and quoted the job at $1700. Unfortunately for them, we know tangentially about plumbing and knew that the material cost was maybe 30 dollars...so we declined their offer and started wondering if we should just make the time to do it ourselves (which we just dont have otherwise we definitely would have lol).

Fortunately, we contacted Around the Clog who was able to make it out pretty quick (we called the Wednesday evening and they said they could be out Thursday at 9...showed up this morning at 8 - win!). They estimated the job over the phone, at a quarter of what the previous plumber had quoted us as so we already felt good about these guys but when the gentlemen got her this morning...not only were they super respectful (wearing shoe coverings and being really understanding about them having gotten here early - offering to wait if we would prefer) but they also did the job super quick.

Then when it was done...I overheard our plumber on the phone with the office going to bat for us...saying 'the materials were xx dollars and they were only here for xx time and he wanted to lower the estimated cost'

After it was all said and done...$367!!! We definitely found a go-to plumber. Thanks a bunch!

I'm a DIY kind of a gal, but sometimes you need the right tools. I thought I could clear my drain but all I had was an eight dollar sink snake. It would've taken me all day to clear out the clog. We have been dealing with a funny smell in our basement and called the big corporate plumbing companies, they checked our pipes and said nothing was wrong, we did this twice. I called Around the Clog Nov 18th and left a message. A couple hours later they had not returned my call. I called again and Heather was unapologetic. The first appointment they could give me was Nov 30th between 8:30 - 9:00 am. I told them I didn't live at the unit and asked to be given 20 min lead time to meet Doug there. Heather agreed to having Doug call me so I would know he was coming.

On the evening of Nov 29th, I called and left a message that I hadn't heard from them confirming the appointment, and reminded them to please give me 20 min lead time.

This morning, Nov 30th, I received a call that Doug was at the address already. The girl who called was not Heather; I don't know her name. She was upset at me for not being there. She said it was only 30 minutes, indicating I could go and wait for Doug. I said I didn't want to possibly wait in my car for 30 minutes. She said this rudely . . . well it isn't my fault, so what do you want? I said an apology would work. She said there were no notes in the file to call me and a few more things and hung up on me.

So, they didn't return my call, I had to wait 10 days for an appointment, and they didn't give me 20 minutes lead time so I knew they were coming, and she didn't apologize, and she was rude.

I don't know if they are good at plumbing because I didn't get a chance to see their work.

Around the Clog was great. I called in the morning and they were here in the afternoon right on time. Scheduling was easy and the guys were professional and courteous. Would definitely recommend them.

They cleared a clog in my main sewer line. Seemed ok for two weeks then the clog came back. I called and left a message about the issue. Didn’t get a return call. I called five other times, no answer. I finally called a different company who came out same day and cleared the line fully.

A few days after I moved into my home, the sewer backed up. I called one of the big name companies, and they tried unsuccessfully to remove the clog with a rooter. They wanted $5000 to dig up my front yard and replace the sewer pipe.

I called Around the Clog early the next morning, and someone was over 30 minutes later. He successfully cleared the clog with his rooter, charged me $100 for the job, and was on his way. Turns out the previous owners flushed rags down the toilet. Also note, the other company still charged me $150 for their unsuccessful attempt to remove the clog. I would use Around the Clog again in a heartbeat, and have recommended them to several friends.

Absolutely the worst, most unprofessional tradesman I've ever had work on my house. Ran the drain snake up through a vent on the roof instead of the clogged sewer line. Spent 1 1/2 hours wearing out the inside of the pipes until my wife noticed he had snagged our smoker and cover on the back deck and told him. They knocked $30 off for ruining the cover but left the shredded mess on the deck. The toilet rocks side to side which it did not before. They got wax from the toilet ring on the carpet and left water, and some kind of grease on the floor the crawlspace. Beware!
