We have a new induction stove, and needed to run a brand-new 30 amps electrical circuit. It turned out to be 65 ft of new wiring, running both outside and inside our house in a conduit, penetrating several walls. Peter was very professional in all the installation, and the end result is phenomenal. He is a very likable person as well and always fun to chat with. This was a difficult project and the second project we've done with him (the first one installing EV charging years ago). Will never look elsewhere in the future.

We needed a Ford Level 2 EV charger for our new Mustang Mach-e GT. We initially reached out to certified electricians recommended by Ford, but found they wanted payment up front - even before they came out to our garage for a consultation! I had Peter Steglitz out for a quote to install an electricity drop in my garage for my new EV. Note I had two other electricians out before him, whose quotes ranged from $2k-$4k. After just a few minutes, Peter determined that I actually didn’t need to add power based on my driving habits, and that the 110V 15amp circuit I have would work just fine given how little I drive. I was willing to, but would have been furious if I had to pay someone to install something I didn’t ultimately need, and am super grateful to Peter for his honesty, depth of knowledge, time taken to understand my needs, and his utmost professionalism while in my home. He was also nice to puppy, which is worth a whole star on its own. ;)

Peter came by the house and assessed what I needed electrically for my new EV wall charger. He could’ve easily sold me on the installation but he provided honest recommendations and temporary solution that is cost effective before getting an official answer from my Tesla solar/powerwall system. He answered additional electrical questions that I have and then some. I felt like the consultation itself deserved some nominal payment but he politely refused. Will definitely use him for future electrical work!

He asked questions re my usage of the car (miles driven per day, week, etc.) and explained why I really didn’t need to buy a $400 Tesla home charger, but could use a $45 Gen2 NEMA adapter instead. After trying to get reasonable bids from multiple electricians, some of which just never showed up for scheduled meetings, Peter, the owner of Steglitz Power came out as scheduled, walked through the entire job which included multiple outdoor outlet installations and new outdoor lighting and accessory connections, and gave me the most reasonable bid I’ve ever received from an electrician. After getting a report from my buyers agent & electrician in the final hours before closing asking for money back to upgrade what they said is a bad electrical panel box, I called Peter out he showed up a couple of hour later 10:30pm on a Thursday night went through the report each line item with us took notes he checked the panel took it apart took photos of the rebuild panel bus make note of the 3 minor repairs needed 2 in the panel 1 inside the house and his cost to repair them. This box doesn’t need a upgrade, only a few minor repairs he documented it into a email on the spot I sent it to the buyers agent & electrician what was needed, after emailing them the buyers decided the panel is in good shape we will take it as is.Thank you Peter I will call you for any electrical repairs needed at our new home.

Peter installed LED recessed canned lights and a dimmer switch in my family room. He took no breaks to get the job done in 5 hours, and cleaned up after himself. If you're looking for a great electrician, then Peter is the man to see! I had an electrical problem where I needed power for a party the next day. Peter came to my house the evening before the big party and fixed my problem in less than an hour. He is a fair and honest man who does excellent work. I don't trust too many people who come to my house to do work, but this man, I trust. I definitely have my go to person for electrical work. I'm glad there's good people like him you can rely on.

We experienced a power surge on December 14, 2021 that fried the electronics in all of our appliances that did not have surge protectors. When power was restored we found that we did not have enough power coming into the house to operate the microwave. I called two electrical companies and they said that it would take them at least a week to get someone to our property. I called Stiglitz power and Peter said that he could fit it into his busy schedule. He arrived the next day and diagnosed the problem as a broken ground cable and guidewire. At his recommendation I called SDG&E who sent out a service person within the hour who fixed it. Peter did not charge for the service call!! The other two companies wanted $120 to send someone out.

Peter is great. Knowledgeable and passionate about his work, and very sensitive to customer service issues. His work was professional, clean, and he went out of his way to ensure that we got what we wanted. I'd recommend him without reservation.

Peter helped us with installing a 220v plug for our EV car. He is very professional, honest & delivered exactly what he promised. We received quotes from other electrical companies, but we choose Peter because when we asked about permits, he was honest with us. The other electricians wanted to cut corners & told us we didn't need one. Getting the permit took a while because of the city & all its red-tape, but Peter stayed on track to get us what we need for inspection & kept us updated the whole time. He could have easily just ran off & never followed through since we already paid him for the job, but he didn't because he is an honest man. After the previous electrician botched the job, we contacted Steglitz Power as it was recommended by Tesla. The electrician was very responsive and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. It took about two months until the work could be completed, but from my understanding that was because concurrent appointments had to be scheduled with SDG&E and the City of San Diego. Other than the waiting time, which was out of our control, everything went smoothly and the work was great. If you're looking for a reliable and trust-worthy electrician, this is the way to go.

My Airbnb renter failed to mention half the power in the house wasn't working when they left so I had 4 hours before the next renter to figure out the problem and get it fixed. I called around and finally reached Peter. He said he could be there in 20 minutes instead of maybe some time like everyone else. I own an older home and with an older home small things break/degrade over time. One of my light switches was not properly working and Peter was able to quickly identify the problem. He was very professional and accommodated a busy schedule. Competitive rates and would definitely work with again in the future.

I needed an exterior electrical panel for my house , replacing my 100 amp for a 200 amp and needed to find someone that had great reviews since this is probably the most difficult job an electrician can do. It involves Permits , having SDGE come out to shut down power to put the new panel in and then having the inspector come out and approve the work for SDGE to come out and reconnect new lines from the alley and throw the power back on. So i gave Peter a call which made it even better he lives on the next block over. I checked prices a few months back to get a feel how much it will cost and when i finally decided to get the job done, Peter gave me a price much better than the others. The work he did was excellent , the braces he installed on the risers were very strong and heavy duty. when the inspector came out he was impressed at the work and wasn't here more than 5 minutes . And he called SDGE to turn me back on . He went above and beyond my expectations. My Motto is before you call the rest, save time and go with the best. Thanks Peter

Did a great job installing the Tesla charger. Was able to be out at the house within 3 days to get it up and running. Highly recommend them. Has helped me again a year later when the charger failed. Switched it out with the replacement in just a few minutes

I’ve used Peter in two separate houses now. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and honest. He’s installed a car charger, fixed outlets that kept tripping the reset button(I forget what that’s called), reworked my breaker panel to accommodate my needs, fixed broken outlets, some grounding/safety issues, and a few other things I can’t remember right now. I would highly recommend him.

Peter did a nice job running a new 50 amp circuit for our Tesla Model 3 this week. It was difficult as it had to go from our breaker panel on the second floor of our townhouse up through the attic and down the walls and ceiling into the garage on the 1st floor. And everything was dry-walled too. He got it down to where we plug the car in, and it works well.

The owner, Peter, came to our house very quickly after we called him. He had never met us or done any work for us. It was the end of the day, after I got home from work. We had a situation where our outside lights were throwing the cut off on the GFI switch. I figured peter & I would schedule some time when he could come to fix our issue. That didn’t happen. Peter immediately went to work figuring out what was going wrong & within an hour or so zeroed in on one particular leg of our underground conduit that Peter said was probably flooded from the rains.I’m a DYI guy. I ran all this underground conduit years ago. It goes everywhere with several in ground boxes. Peter figured it all out, disconnected the bad line and all our other electrical lit up.This was a tiny job for Peter but he came & did it anyway AND he showed me how to fix the problem myself.
