Back in 2015 I selected Raceway Electric after glowing reviews from my brother who after a long search of solar contractors, selected them to install his solar panels.Said Raceway Electric installed them on time, on budget, plus did some related electrical upgrades to his house required for the installation.Based on his experience I also selected Raceway to install my panels. Was a pleasure to work with. Similar flawless installation.For both my brother and me, since our installation in 2015, no roof leaks, no issues with the panels, entire installation process. Just solar power every day.What I really appreciated about their work quality was how Raceway ran all the supporting electrical wiring inside my attic versus exposed, on top of the roof as some contractors do. This way is much cleaner and professional to me.This year I used Raceway to reposition two separate panels on the side of my house to better face the sun. Panels are now on supports tilted to match my other six panels. Giving me better power production.

They installed and a fan and solar for a very reasonable price. I am so happy I selected Raceway Electric. From start to finish, Mike the owner was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, available, and honest. Plus he’s a Santee local! Staff was on time, cleaned up, and professional. The owner Mike is great! I like the fact that you work with Mike the owner for solar install.

Great company to work with! Very fast with reaching out after asking about an estimate and good scheduling in a timely manner. The tech that came out was profesional, nice and very helpful. The only downside is that I wish they also patched holes they made during installation themselves or made it clear that they don’t do that from the beginning. I would use this company again though and recommend them for any electrical work!

Raceway Electric & Solar is very professional. I had used them on my rental property and was very pleased with their service. Therefore I called them for my personal residence. I have already recommended Raceway to my friends.

Three extra holes were cut in my wall when transition from gas to electric for our dryer. Tech admitted these were done by accident. Owner said these were out their control. Sam, the tech I spoke with was very professional. However, the other tech, who made the holes did not know what he was doing and this was called out by Sam.They left their equipment in my garage and attic.So, if you want them to leave you with 'out of their control and error holes' in the wall and their equipment in your house by all means use this company.

Raceway has been my partner in all things electrical as I slowly remodel my home. Projects so far have included adding infrared heaters, adding a subpanel, adding outlets, swapping outlets, relocating switches, and installing light fixtures and fans. They do a really nice job - always professional, on time, and ensure the work gets done right. I have found their prices to be reasonable and below the competition.

Raceway installed our solar several years ago and when our breaker for the solar started to have an issue they came back to troubleshoot and fix the problem. They were responsive and got us an appointment as quick as possible. This is a local, family owned business that I've always had great interactions with. Right from the start Mike was very helpful in giving option for running electrical to our new hot tub which helped me pick the best option. Everyone at raceway was helpful and communicated extremely well. I will definitely be going back to raceway for my next electrical or solar needs!

They did a pretty poor job installing an EV charger. They used an existing 220v HVAC and then put the AC on two 110v amps which only delivers 110v to the HVAC system. They weren’t very responsive and I was without AC during this heatwave for three days. They also charged $620 for a 30 minute job to run conduit one foot and put in a box right under the breaker box. I then got three letters from them asking me to review and when I reached out to tell them I was unhappy with their service, they didn’t respond. That’s why I’m posting a review, because I couldn’t get through to Shelby or Mike that I was unsatisfied and felt overcharged for the performance.

I needed an additional outlet in the kitchen of my rental. Mike gave me options and sent me a reasonable quote. His guy did a neat, professional job!
We had used them years before, so I didnt even getting other estimates.
I knew by their pevious work the were the best choice!

Kudos to Raceway Electric & Solar who were very professional, efficient and knowledgeable. They were quick to respond and prompt showing up at the appointed time for the assessment for the work I wanted done - which I find to be a challenge these days with other companies. I had several projects I needed done which included providing an outdoor two separate electrical outlets, creating lighting and electrical outlets in an existing shed and providing power to an outdoor fountain with an on/off switch. When Mike, the owner, came by to give me an estimate, I also inquired about their solar panels. I appreciated his honesty when he realized I had just moved in a few months prior so I was not aware what my average power bill was. He strongly suggested that I wait a year to get an accurate assessment of my power needs before looking into installing solar panels. I really appreciated his suggestion rather than him taking advantage of me by making a quick sale. On the day the service was to be done, there was a mix up on their end. However, when I called to see if they were just running late, they realized their mistake and I was told they would get someone there by noon to at least get my projects started. Instead, they arrived within a half hour of the phone call and completed all the work I needed done within a few hours! They were very pleasant and professional. I would highly recommend Raceway Electric & Solar to anyone needing electrical work!

Raceway gave us excellent service, at a great price, and on schedule for a past project rewiring outside electrical boxes and adding external lighting. Mike was very courteous and professional, and we are now using Raceway to install solar panels.

Mike and his company came from a recommendation a friend gave me. Mike was very professional while not being pushy. He listened to what we were interested in, gave us honest feedback and made it happen. We had an extra circuit added for a hot tub install, it was done clean and neat looking, concrete work was super nice and overall the experience was very easy and stress free. Miranda in the office is on top of everything and very helpful. We will be having them come back in a year to install our solar and a new breaker panel. Thanks guys........and gals.

My solar provider went down and I needed a diagnosis for the system . Raceway has a great team. The front office is excellent providing good communication as to what to expect. The electrical evaluation was completed quickly and they were able to refer me to someone who is working on the SolarEdge inverter.

My HOA hired Raceway Electric to perform inspections on electrical panels throughout our complex. I had been wanting to replace the old Zinsco panel since I moved in before the pandemic, so I arranged to have the work done by Raceway.I am so happy with the service and work the did on my condo! Not only did they replace the panel, they installed 2 fans on a vaulted ceiling, updated my recessed wall heaters, and repaired broken lighting in my garage. Billy and Sam arrived on time, finished the work professionally and promptly, and left things neat and tidy. They also provided an awesome referral to a general contractor to do the drywall repairs and he's patching the holes as I write this. The whole experience was excellent. Great job, Raceway!

Raceway Electric is definitely the electric company to call. If you are looking for experienced electricians that are professional, honest, reliable, on time and can get the job done quickly. This is the ONLY company to go with!We had an electrical surge in our home and have been displaced for over 5 months. After calling 16 electric companies to come out and assess, only 3 companies showed up. Mike was 100% honest and was not asking insurance questions or giving me a lesson on how much to tell the insurance company the electrical would cost.Mike whom is the owner, came out and provided a free estimate. Explained exactly what needed to be done.The team, Sam and Billy installed a new panel, new circuit breakers and rewired the fire damaged area. These men are wonderful, very knowledgeable, hardworking and were able to answer any questions I had. After recently purchasing a house, we needed to have some minor electrical corrected, and several fans/control switches/can lights/dimmer switches and a stand-alone RV power outlet installed. We heard about Raceway through our realtor (who had used them for a number of years for their own properties). On the day of installation, Billy and Sam arrived on time, and were very professional and personable. Billy took our requests/needs into account for the install, and suggested very logical options that would work for the room size. We went with Billy's recommendations, and everything turned out excellent! They both worked very efficiently and answered any questions we had along the way.Thank you guys!A few weeks after the install, we noticed one of the fans (Brand: Minka Aire) was making a ticking noise while operating at higher speeds. Raceway sent Sam to take a look. He figured out the problem in a few minutes, and made the correction (putting two 2 sections of gasket material 180deg apart between the ceiling and the base cover). No more ticking!!Per the fan retailer and Raceway, this is a common issue with this brand of fans.We intend to use Raceway for future projects.Highly recommended!

From start to finish I am completely impressed with Raceway Electric. Mike (the owner) came out to my home and discussed with me what projects I wanted done. After the meeting I was provided with a complimentary quote and lighting options.Our condo complex needed to upgrade from fluorescent lighting to LED. We had everything you can think of. Porch lights, pool lights, parking lights and pole lights that needed to be replaced.The two electricians, Billy and Sam, arrived at the beginning of the appointment window and walked the job with me. I knew I was in good hands with these two. They arrived clean and ready to work. The electricians worked in separate areas of our complex to ensure the job was complete in great time.Our new lights look amazing and definitely bring more of a stylish look to our complex. This was a much needed upgrade and we could not have done it without Raceway Electric!

We were a first time customer, we needed our old ceiling fan removed, a new fan relocated in the living room and a new ceiling light installed where the old fan used to be. Sam arrived on time, was courteous and professional. He got right to work and got the job done in a timely manner. We were so pleased, that we have a few other electrical issues we need to have addressed and fixed and we will be calling Raceway in the near future to take care of them.

Raceway was awesome!!! I bought a new double oven and had to get a 50 amp line put in for to replace the 30 amp line that we had already. But when Raceway started the work they discovered the line we had was already a 50 amp line and it was miss labeled at the box!!! They saved me $1,300 bucks by being professional and honest!!! I definitely recommend anyone use this great company!!!

My experience with Raceway Electric has been a positive and professional one. A friend recommended Raceway Electric for my electrical upgrades, and I'm extremely happy that I contacted them. Mike provided detailed recommendations on the issues I wanted fixed (bathroom & kitchen outlets, recessed lights, moving outlets, grounding issues, etc.), and informed me about electrical standards and code. The staff is always quick to answer and return my calls, which I think is a sign of professionalism and taking their business seriously. I’ve used Raceway a few times and there work is always great. They are often available ahead of ached and finish ahead of schedule and have the best pricing I’ve come across. Will definitely use them in the future.

We called Raceway because we had flickering lights in several rooms. They have a good website with their contact number easily visible and an option to book an appointment online based on a menu of their services. I thought that was clear and convenient. I booked an appointment online and someone followed up by phone to confirm the details. The Electrician showed up as scheduled and was able to resolve the issue although he warned us that there could be further issues with the electrical panel but he recommended seeing if the problem stopped there before going further. We did have to call them out again because we saw flickering lights in different rooms now. The owner himself came out the same day we called and resolved the issue. I was impressed with their technical knowledge, responsiveness, and professionalism. No complaints. They are not cheap, but electrical problems are not where I try to bargain shop.

Sam diagnosed the electrical issue and replaced the GCFI switch within 20 minutes. He was very courteous and professional. Only drawback, a little pricey.

We had questions about our electrical panel and needed some recommendations. We found out about Raceway from three different sources and gave them a call. Mike came out to our service cal and was very detailed and informative about all our questions. Mike recommended a simple and basic panel inspection and evaluation. Mike had his office set up an appointment and about two weeks later a tech came to perform the inspection. Both men were extremely professional, courteous and answered any questions or explained any work. Definitely would use Mike and Racdway again.

We bought our first house recently and the electrical was not allowing us to function. We quickly needed new outlets in the kitchen, outside, recessed lighting in the family room, entrance way, and kitchen, dimmers in the bedrooms, and there was a ceiling fan that was moved unprofessionally that left live wires hanging from the ceiling. Mike came out shortly after I called and did a complete walk-through. He was beyond nice and didn’t want to go with any other company. The two men that came to our home to do the jobs were unbelievably nice and professional. They genuinely enjoy their jobs and walked us through everything that was being done. At no point did we have to question a thing. Mike even came by during the job to check in. Such a great company and couldn’t thank them enough for helping us with our home. *HIGHLY RECOMMEND*

Mike and his crew removed my solar panels so his roofer, Ferraco Roofing, could make the repairs to my roof to stop the leaking. I had another company install my solar 8 years ago and I wish I had Raceway Electric do it back then! Mike’s crew did a great job removing the panels and then reinstalling with all the correct stands and flashing to ensure a great leak proof installation. My favorite thing about Mike was his attentive and prompt customer service. He answered his phone or called me back every time. He communicated every step of the way and his crew was on time and got the job done on schedule. Very professional company and great service. I have used Raceway Electric for the last 15 years or so; mostly smaller jobs. This time I had them remove all the knob and tube wiring from an older second home. The crew tackled the job with a minimum of plaster repair and the expertise they have always shown. Even last minute changes and add-ons were handled quickly and efficiently. They truly are the best electricians around and I always highly recommend their services.

Sam came out to install an outlet in our garage for a deep freezer we just purchased.He was polite and courteous, worked fast and got everything taken care of for us.Raceway was quick and efficient. I’d recommend Raceway Electric for any projects where you need an electrician.

Can’t say enough about Raceway. After getting a tankless water heater installed I needed to move an outlet. I call Raceway and set up an appointment. Mike showed up and not only installed a new outlet he realized my garage refrigerator was plugged into a faulty gfi outlet and switched that out also. Mike was on time and extremely friendly. The office staff was very courteous in setting up appointments, the installation crew was very friendly and helpful as well. And when there was a problem with our fan someone was sent back out the very next morning to get it working for us again. Very happy with all aspects of this company. Since a major demo we have continued to have major electrical problems and feared that an incompetent contractor left us with a possible whole level to be rewired. I was able to schedule an appointment for less than a week later, Mike showed up within the time frame given and after discussing the issues at hand he went to work immediately testing all electrical outlets (he looked concerned with our same thoughts on rewiring). In about 30 mins he was able to find that all these issues were related to one single broken electrical outlet, he looked more relieved than I was! Mike was very excited with his findings and demonstrated that he is truly passionate about his work and providing exceptional customer service. I would highly recommend them and have not had any issues since!

Great experience and fast quality work. It took one day from when I called to when someone came out and fixed my problem. Our kitchen remodel required new lighting installation and upgrades. Raceway Electric was referred to us when the original planned electrician had a delay in keeping to our remodel calendar. Raceway Electric came in on short notice, surveyed and rebid the project. The upgraded lighting is fantastic. The work crew, Billy and Sam, did a great job.We will most definitely consider Raceway Electric to work on future lighting/electrical projects.

This is the second time we've contracted with Mike and his team at Raceway. After our kitchen was done, we decided to get some lighting in our living room. Living in San Carlos, our home was built in the 50's and had no attic space. Thankfully Raceway was able to install our lights with minimal drywall work to be done. We are very pleased with the outcome and the service we've had with Raceway.

I needed 2 outlets installed in my courtyard so I can hang string lights. Mike came out and took a look at the area, quoted me a very reasonable price. We set an appt to have the outlets installed. 2 guys came over and on time. They did it in less than 2 hours. We are very pleased. We are able to hang the string of lights. My courtyard is nicely lit now. Will definitely call them again if we need more work done.

I'm very pleased with the service from Mike at Raceway. We had a number of old and loose wall outlets that needed attention. We also had a couple light switches that weren't connected properly so the On/Off positions were reversed. Nothing major but still out of my comfort zone. If I ever need more work done I won't hesitate to call Raceway Electric.

We obtained several quotes for installing a NEMA 14-50 outlet in our garage to charge our electric car. Raceway Electric was the cheapest by a considerable margin and I appreciated Mike's professionalism and expertise as he offered different options for what they could do. The service was scheduled promptly and the technician arrived right on time. Raceway Electric will be my first call if I ever have electrical needs in the future and I heartily recommended them!

I had two ceiling fans put together, wired, mounted onto ceiling where there was no light before. The work was done quickly and very well. I highly recommend having Raceway install your ceiling fan and do any other electrical work.

We have used Raceway Electric for our solar panel installation and we are very happy. They worked closely with the roofers because we were getting a new roof, too, and that really helped make things go smoothly. We also used them recently to replace a breaker for our jacuzzi. They were punctual, courteous, and got the job done.

Raceway Electric took care of wiring up a remodel for us recently. They showed up on time, took the appropriate amount of time to troubleshoot the existing issues and after laying everything out so it wouldn't interfere with any of the other work going on, wired everything up. Had to install a new sub panel for a condo that had been recalled 40 years ago and the previous owner never attended to. New 220 plug at Stove, new 20 amp for a new microwave, installed a new over sink light, took down old ceiling fan and installed a new fan. Cleaned up his mess, but left me a heavy bag to get to the trash bin at complex but other than that very pleased
