If I could give 0 stars I would. I had this business scheduled to come this morning between 9-10am. At 7:21 am I missed two phone calls. I gave them a call back four times.
The first time ANGELA hung up on me I thought it was an accident. The second third and fourth time it was deliberate. I waited a few minutes hoping someone else would answer and nope angela again and she hung up on me again. Idk how you are in business with a woman that effing rude answering your phones… I will never be using this company ever again.

Tech 17 came into my home very respectfully and professionally unclogged our shower and even removed a toilet. He did all this within 30mins of ringing my door bell. I appreciate how he explained everything he did and what to watch for in the future. Highly recommend company.

The plumber who came out (Jacob i believe) was really friendly. Although it took him two visits to fully clear the clogged line, there was zero problems having him come out and snake the line again under warrantee. Why the one star off (would knock of 1.5 if i could): Im not really a fan of them repeatedly calling, and emailing me asking for a review. One call or email is enough guys.

Contacted Preferred Plumbing, Kavar arrived on time, explained the process, and fixed the issue. kavar was very transparent and I highly recommend the company and it’s employees. I will definitely use this company and refer this business in the future.

I received a call from my neighbor that water was running from my backyard out into the street. I called Preferred Plumbing and Drain. The service person arrived and within minutes had the water turned off. He determined that my dogs playing tug of war with the garden hose, had ripped the plumbing off the side of the house. In about 2 1/2 hours, the plumber not only had the plumbing repaired and the water back on to the house, but had also made friends with both of my dogs. Benjamin presented his self with professionalism at the San Francisco Tesla dealership. He greeted everyone with class, he did great job providing us on the situation that's causing so much damage in the service area. He took care the problem as fast as he could. I just want to say, the Tesla team thanks you.

Ask for Reggie for a morning appointment, and you will do just great with Preferred Plumbing. The first plumber who came out is very young and made multiple errors on two larger jobs. He did stop a loud sound from the pipes by changing out the kitchen sink, but he accidentally wrapped the hose to the pull out faucet around a pipe so that it could not extend all the way. Also, the first plumber (very young) didn't stop the dripping in the bathroom because he changed out the shower head instead of the handle for the water. He also forgot to turn back on the hot water for the dishwasher, so I had no dishwasher for Christmas Eve and Christmas day (very hard).
The second plumber Reggie was very knowledgeable and fixed all the problems that the fist plumber left, with no extra labor charge because I spoke to someone at dispatch. I would have given Preferred Plumbing a 5 star rating if Reggie had come out in the fist place. The younger plumber, who will remain nameless, will learn to be a better plumber with time and training. The call was very late because the previous job went long, so he was tiered. Don't expect the appointment to start in time, unless you have a morning appointment.

Ask for Reggie in the morning and you will be a very happy customer!

Preferred Plumbing and Drain were great to work with. They gave me a 1 hour time window for arrival and were on time. The technician, Bryan (tech #30), was really great at explaining what he was doing and giving me a good estimate on time needed. I will use this business again for my plumbing needs.

Our dishwasher was leaking all over our hardwood floors and I did not know what to do. I called Preferred Plumbing and they were at my door in 30 minutes and in just a few more minutes had the leak stoped! Their speedy service saved my hardwood floors. My laundry line started to back up and leaked water all over my garage. It was nothing I was able to fix, so I called Preferred Plumbing and Drain. They sent service person Tom and he arrived and within the hour as promised. The tech was able to cable my laundry line thoroughly. He tested all the lines to make sure everything ran correctly. I was able to return to doing my laundry with no further issues and have not had any problems since. I would definitely use these guys again. Thank you PPD!

I had a kitchen sink back up that started overflowing onto my counter. I was scared I was going to have to replace my garbage disposal as it was not assisting in the drainage of the water. Preferred Plumbing sent out Tony #74 to help and he found it to be a simple back up in my ptrap. He was able to fix my issue very quickly and cleaned up more than I could've imagined. My mom who is 91, had a backup in her kitchen sink and also the tub next to her washer. I called Preferred as we have used them for my own home and always had good service. Colleen (#9) was our service tech showed up in 20 minutes and she was very courteous, professional and through. She cleaned the line first - then still saw an issue with disposal and cleaned the peatrap and plumbing - got everything clean and running again. Mom was given the senior discount. Great Experience and would call again and probably ask for Colleen specifically.

Whatever you do please please please DO NOT USE THE COMPANY! If I could give negative stars I would. 1 star is more than they deserve.

We hired them back in June 2020 to replace our water heater. My husband knew soon after the technician arrived that it was obvious he didn't know what he was doing. He didn't know where to start or how to properly drain the tank. My husband asked quite a few times if the technician had replaced a water heater before and was assured he had. All while this technician was there we had 5 holes drilled into our house because he could measure correctly for the overflow and a one damaged some of our drywall. We had to fight with the company to send someone new out to fix what the original technician broke. A job that should have taken just a few hours ended up being over 2 days and it still took 3 times for this job to pass inspection.

Well just about a week ago our water heater wasn't working (just a few months after a brand new water heater was put in). The new company who came out showed us so many illegal things Preferred Plumbing did that can't be seen by the inspector. Bad vent (we think this caused the water heater to stop working after 6 months, incorrect pipes and more. They refuse to pay for the work done by the new company to fix everything that was wrong. Save your time and money and please go somewhere else!

Tech 30, Brian came out very late because I hadn't had hot water for 3 days. Turns out it was just the pilot light. H relit it and didn't charge me. The water heater is 16 years old and probably on its way out. Brian took a photo of the info and when I goes I'll definitely be calling Preferred Plumbing again as I have for other plumbing jobs. Thank you very much.

I have used this company before with good results. So, I called them with a couple of easy to fix things that needed doing. I had an appointment for between Noon and 1. At 11:53 they called and said it may be between 1 and 2 before they could arrive and they would keep me posted. However, never heard back from them. After 4pm I called and cancelled. They did not apologize or offer an explanation...the young lady simply said have a good night. Very disappointed in this company.

Plumber was courteous and worked fast. I thought the price for swapping out a water heater was too extensive, otherwise it was a good service..

I am so impressed. Last night around 9pm I called as we had an emergency. Our plumbing was backed up. Toilets not flushing and dirty water coming into tub. I called and they had someone at my home within 2 hrs. The price was very reasonable too considering it was after hours (they didn't charge an after hours fee, just regular hourly rates). They fixed the clog and drains were working again within 1 hr of them arriving. I have already given their info to my friends and family and I will contact them for future repairs.

I am renting a house where the shower drain stopped draining and after liquid plumber and plunging the backup only got worse as sewage was coming up and out backing up the pipe and into the shower pan. The property management sent out Preferred Plumbing & Drain. Repair men Eduardo (tech 21) and trainee Kito were on time, extremely courteous, knowledgeable about what they needed to do and corrected the issues with short term corrections and suggested long term fixes as well. Great job Eduardo and Kito. Thanks.

Once again I was faced with a sewer system that simply would not behave, and I needed someone who would come ASAP and get the job done without ripping me off. I'm glad I called these folks! It turns out I needed a huge job; my entire sewer pipe needed to be replaced. The house I purchased 6 months earlier wasn't up to code at all! These guys went a long way to get the job done right, digging under a wall to lay the new pipe! It was a big, messy job and they got it done and never left me without the ability to use the bathroom or shower when I needed it! The technicians were very nice and got the job done quickly, all while giving me a good price. And they followed up every day to make sure I was informed about what was happening with the job. You can give your business to these people confidently!

I would definitely recommend Preferred Plumbing, particularly in an emergency situation. We had a drain backup in the evening. We called 4 other plumbers, some who advertised 24/7 service but the only one who came through was Preferred Plumbing within an hour of calling. Pedro #25 was friendly and professional.

Tony (#74) provided exceptional service while diagnosing a water pressure issue and installing a new faucet for my mother-in-law while we visited her today. He was friendly, courteous, knowledgable and extremely professional. I don't know if they allow you to request a particular plumber, but I'd try asking for Tony if you have a plumbing issue.

Needed outside pipe snaked. Charged $500. And didn't even clean up around the cleanout drain pipe they used. Was a little over a hour job. Called Sunday 8pm they could do it till next day 10 am.

Preferred Plumbing and Drain cleaning services responded to my call in very professional manner. They sent the technician, Kavar (#08) for drain inspection and cleaning. Before starting the work, Kavar explained how the service works; what 30-days service warrantee covers and what is NOT covered under warrantee. This is third time I have hired this company for drain issue. It is my experience the technicians like Kavar are very professional.

I have used Preferred Plumbing for all my plumbing issues. Before discovering this company, I used several different contractors with various issues (over-priced, not good work, etc). Preferred has replaced my garbage disposal, cleared my drains and fixed several clogs promptly and at a great price. I highly recommend them.

Called at 5 PM was told I would have somebody here tonight calleback at 645 pm told on list,10 was told sorry you've been held over till tomorrow. No calls back during these 5 hours of waiting , this left an 84 and 85 year old man without toilets or showers, It's very poor service we'll never call again suggest other people go somewhere else.

When I moved to San Jose, I called numerous plumbing companies to use at our business and the one that suits us best is Preferred Plumbing. They have always come out as soon as possible (mostly same day) and they are the only company I have ever knows who actually calls to follow up on the issue. I have used Preferred Plumbing and Drain for several years. I've always found them to be responsive, professional, and reasonably priced. Though it took 3 days rather than a few hours to see a tech this time, I had to concede that my toilet issue wasn't as important as emergency sewer problems and, apparently, the company is low on techs. My only real complaint here was the lack of communication. When windows of expected arrival came and went, hours went by before I got a call about why and when to expect a tech later. I even called a few times rather than wait for them to contact me, which was unusual for my experience with the company. When Tony (#74) was finally able to make it out, it was 7:20PM. It seemed he hadn't been told what my issue was, which I was very clear on when I made the appt, so he immediately had to go out to The Home Depot and then Lowe's to get a new flush assembly. Ultimately, the work was done by 9:20PM and I wasn't charged for the time on the road to get the necessary part. Tony was very personable and did a great job, willingly answering my questions when I would go in to check on his status. (I like to learn so I can do similar work myself next time.) I will always call Preferred Plumbing and Drain in North Highlands before any other plumbing company for any plumbing problems and I highly recommend them.

Wish we had an option for -0... They tried to charge us for 2 hours just to unclog a sewage pipe which is only 25 min job. It was Saturday, nobody supervised them, that is why they are trying to charge for 2 hours. Also, the lady behind the phone re-confirmed, the job shouldn't longer than an hour. Will never call them again.

I had clogged my sink with cabbage and feared it would stay clogged through the holiday. I called Preferred first thing this morning and had a service person here by 10:00 AM. The technicians explained what they were going to do and gave me a quote before beginning the work. They cleared up my issues and left everything clean. Thank you Preferred for rescuing me.

The work they did was on my rental. They where on time and quick to do the job. They where able to take my information over the phone and not need me to be there. Called me when that where done, gave them my CC number and all was done. A few weeks later called me with a follow up to make sure all was good. Thanks for the great work and response on a short notice, kinda of an emergency.

Just to give a little back story to our issue: Awhile back we had a clog issue that caused water to backup into the toilets and showers in our downstairs. It was a Sunday evening I believe and the company that came out to help said they fixed the problem, however, the issue came up again the next day. The same company sent out the same person and they struggled finding any clog in our pipes that would be causing an issue. Whatever they did it worked for sometime, but last night it reared it's ugly head again and after plunging for over 30 minutes we broke down and decided to call a plumber to come out the next day, which is now today. Today is a Sunday, so anyone working today is greatly appreciated obviously but the man, named Karl (Walden is the last name I think), that came out today was exactly what we needed. He found a huge clog at a location in our pipes that the previous person had stated there was a turn in the pipe that couldn't be pushed through. Karl not only cleared this clog but also fixed a pipe in our toilet that was broken and had been leaking into a bucket behind the toilet for sometime now. He went above and beyond our expectations in regards to quality of labor. He did all this while still being friendly and kind to my whole family, who can be a little nosey sometimes (lol) and had all the patience in the world when explaining his work and what was going on. I will happily refer this company (and specifically Karl) to anyone looking for a trustworthy and knowledgeable plumber, whether it's an emergency or just a general issue. Thank you!

I am writing this to submit a review on the service performed at my house for a new water heater installation by Michael Rivera. This was in Dec of 2022. He did an excellent job! He is very professional, came on time, updated me when he was out buying the new water heater. Not just that, he did a fantastic job, he also installed an additional leakage proof equipment. I am so happy with the job he did. And also cleaned up well afterwards. A very neat job and a very reliable plumber Michael is. And very knowledgeable too, which helps a lot. And he didn’t insist on installing a new heater, like other plumbers push you to do, although my previous heater was more than 20 years old. He let me take my time and decide myself. Firstly, the two technicians, Matt and Reggie, arrived within the time frame specified, so that was great. The guys were very professional, courteous and informative. They diagnosed the issues I was having with my toilet, and did an outstanding job repairing them. They also left the work area nice and clean after the job was completed. I was extremely pleased and impressed with the repair crew and Preferred Plumbing & Drain. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them gain.

Showed up on time to install new faucets in my bathrooms and showers..listened to my requests and very friendly, plumber worked with great attention to detail and cleaned up well after job was done, everything works without leaks and looks great!

I very highly recommend this company! I recently bought a home in the Sacramento area and my plumbing/sewage had a backup effecting my kitchen sink, tub, and toilet. I called Preferred Plumbing at around 8 p.m. and they were very friendly, professional, and the person who answered the phone was very knowledgable in answering my questions. I went ahead and scheduled for someone to come out to take a look, but when I called back for an ETA about a half hour later, it was a little longer than I thought I could wait because I had to #1. So, I made the mistake of cancelling my appointment with them because I called a bigger (not better) company that was able to give me a smaller window between 10-12, well, after trying to contact them several times after 12 a.m., they finally called me back at 12:30 a.m. and said they needed to reschedule. I was so livid because I waited all that time (still having to go #1) when I could've just waited my turn with this company. I called Preferred back and spoke to Bryan again and he informed me that their next appointment was now at 9 a.m. and he asked me if I would like to schedule the appointment. I told him there was no way I could wait because I only had one bathroom and at this point I was about to burst. Haha! He apologized and I thanked him and we hung up. Not even 2 minutes later, my phone is ringing and it's Bryan (my savior has come to my rescue) He says that he has a tech in the area and they had a cancellation (in my heart, I believe they made special arrangements for me) and they would have someone over shortly. Anthony was the technician that showed up shortly after to rescue my night (and my bladder) Haha! Anthony was very professional and knowledgable. He quickly and efficiently got the job done, cleaned up the mess, and was out the door! Needless to say... I will never use another company!

My mom is elderly and many times she gets ripped off from companies; however, these guys are honest and genuine! Not only did they come out the same day, the plumber was SUPER courteous and efficient! Brie, the wonderful girl who you will talk with when scheduling, is just such a sweet and efficient person! I just LOVE her!

Preferred plumbing North Highlands was awesome.. me and my wife have been having clogging issues for the past month and other plumbers have come out about five different times.. none of them apply themselves as good as Connor from preferred plumbing North Highlands did and none of them put in the work to get the clog clear and to keep it that way for longer than a couple days.. We would we would definitely recommend them.
