I need a plumber to install a new kitchen sink faucet (that i bought at a store) and Clarke & Rush came out at no charge and explained what needed to be done, this was very important to me and i felt comfortable with the written proposal so i said let's do it... two hours later, everything was completed and working fantastic! Branden cleaned up and I couldn't be happier. Clarke & Rush did as advertised and I wanted to thank you for a job well done! My family has used Clarke & Rush before for other projects and want to say they continue to be professional and I strongly recommend them!

I recently had a new HVAC and hot water heater installed. I just wanted to express what a great job the crew did while they were at my house. We’ve used Clarke & Rush for our solar and AVAC since 2014. They are professional, competitive in their pricing, and their staff are very pleasant, We had a recurring issue with our control panel disconnecting over the Hot 4th of July weekend, and had no AC. Their technician came on Sunday morning and fixed the issue for us. We are grateful for their response in resolving the AC on the hottest weekend this year. Based our positive experiences over the years we will continue to use them in the future

The service provided by Clark and Rush is second to none. We had a mini split system stop working on a Friday night. Ed B came to service my a/c unit. I was surprised to see him in a Clark & Rush truck since I've Garrick in the past. He explained Garrick merged with C&R. Ed was great. He showed me how to properly wash my outside unit and to keep my filters clean and how to get an oversized filter to fit. He checked my fan operation and wiring which I had issues with. And before adding refrigerant Ed discovered one of the sctew on caps placed on my unit had no O ring which could have been responsible for a slow leak I've had for quite a while. Ed was very thorough, professional and his years of experience shows. A very pleasant fella who doesn't mind my inquisitive dogs. Next time I need help I'll be asking for Ed at Clark & Rush. Clarke and Rush have done a great job with installing and now maintaining our HVAC system. They remind me about maintenance and are easy to schedule with. Also, their technicians are always polite, timely, knowledgeable and pleasant. I definitely recommend them!

Several years ago I had Clarke and Rush install a heating and air system and I was happy with their service. I called them recently because I noted vibration in the water pipes in my ceiling leading directly into the water heater, and was told a plumber would come to my home.

A plumbing technologist came, and told me that he would replace the flex line, which he thought had a flow regulator, but if this didn't work, I would need a new water heater.

He replaced a copper flex line with an aluminum flex line, although my fixtures were brass. He told me he would not place a copper flex line because he did not have one in his truck, and the the aluminum line is inert. The he charged me $270 and told me if it didn't work, he would credit it to a new water heater. A copper flex line costs maybe $20.

I've done some reading, which suggests that putting an aluminum line on a brass fixture may not be a good idea due to the possible development of corrosion of the aluminum metal in the presence of water.

For he price I paid, I expected to see an actual plumber who would diagnose the issue, rather then just replace a part made of a different metal that might be harmful to my existing plumbing, and then tell me he would discount his inflated price from a new water heater if it didn't work.

I'm not sure this company is trustworthy at the present.

Addendum: changing a flex line did not help, and I am don't think buying a new water heater from Clarke and Rush is the proper step. Will look for a qualified plumber.

Called them to see why our house warms up so quickly. I thought it was insulation, which they didnt agree with instead they got me to pay for an a/c tune up which was $89. They did nothing during the tune up but tell me I needed so many things done to my system that it wouldn't be worth it and should just get a new one. My a/c system cooled my house just fine in my own opinion but my house wouldn't stay cool very long, how does that issue warrant a new system?? After getting 2 other companies out here to discuss the issue and check out my unit, they said insulation was my issue, not the ac unit. You guys need to start listening to your potential customers and stop trying to get people to buy a $10000 unit who don't need one.

Recently replaced my 1959 vintage gas wall heater with a new Carrier HVAC system. I also had a Quietcool whole house fan installed at the same time. Bill and his crew could not have been more professional, knowledgeable, hard working or courteous.Total pros and real nice guys. Thanks for the great job. I am very satisfied.

I called Clark & Rush regarding a home heating repair. Upon the friendly technician taking a peek into my attic, he immediately said I should instead simply replace the entire unit and ducting because my unit was from the 90's. My repair call had quickly turned into a sales pitch before the unit was even looked at. My two cents.. If you're going to call Clark & Rush for any home repair, be sure to tell them the year of your system before paying $89 for them to tell you to buy a new unit. If you need a new unit, give them a call.. they receive great reviews for new unit installs, however, If you need a repair, go somewhere else.

6 months ago,I had a complete remove and replace of my HVAC system, the cost was half of what other HVAC companies wanted. The professionalism and quality of service was excellent, no complaints. The follow up service has been outstanding. Before having other HVAC companies vie for your work, call Clark and Rush, you won't be disappointed.

We got 3 quotes for HVAC units - Clarke & Rush was the most competitive, however, that is NOT the reason we chose to hire them to install our HVAC unit. It was Tony's professionalism and no nonsense straight honest information. He was not salesy at all which I appreciated. He has been with the company 16 years and knows all things regarding HVAC installation. He followed up in a timely manner (not too much) to check in to see how the financing was going (Julie in the office is great and helpful!). Julie was able to get us on the schedule quickly due to a cancellation - awesome! Fast forward to the day of the install - Tony lead the team (Ryan & Alfredo) - Man, the organization of these guys 10 stars - but the leadership and quick professional install Tony & the guys did was great. Tony really knows his stuff - at the end of install he set proper expectations and reviewed the operation of the thermostat and what to expect next.
I was very comfortable to have them in and around our home.

We won't use any other company as Clarke & Rush does a variety of home services and we trust Tony 100% - important when you are spending so much $$

Today 2 hvac system maintenance done very well with attention to detail with clean wire re-installation into connectors apart from typical checks. He recommended changes to add a booster given my old compressor was drawing more current. After booster change the current back well under range extending life of old system. I have used clark & rush to install replace hvac , attic insulation, large 100 G water heater installation over the years. Basically used them for over 20 yrs. I have others like bell bros etc and have come back to using them. They are not the cheapest though and have fixed prices for jobs in their tablet.. wish they give more discounts for doing multiple work in the same visit

I want to write what Superb services from Clarke and Rush. Starting the Frank the sales rep was easy to work with and informative. Present choice and allow you to come to a decision. Then there is Tony that measures and orders the window. Again, easy to work with and on time. Kept us informed as to the status of our order. Finally, I didn't get all the names of the installers. Three amigos that showed up on time, gave an estimate of time to complete the job and cleaned up all the way. I received a demo on each of the windows and how to operate and clean the windows. The blinds they took down was reinstalled. They took away the old windows and screens. These guys installed 12 windows in 5 hours. Awesome work. Thank you. If there was 10 star you earned it.

We have used Clarke and Rush for repair and maintenance of our HVAC system in our home and each time they have done a professional, quality and thorough job. I would highly recommend them for the work on your home.

My heater stopped producing heat. I called Clarke & Rush and Zach came out on 12/21/2017. I was given a quote of 4658.00 with no guarantee that the system would function after this work was completed. It was recommended to me that I replace the entire system. In the quote I was quoted 696.00 for a gas valve that I was able to purchase for 79.00 and install myself. The system has been working perfectly since then. I was told that someone would call me to provide me a quote on an entire system replacement. As of today 2/7/2018 no one has called me. I feel like they try and tell you so much is wrong with your system so they can sell you a new one. They also way over charge for repairs. See the included quote and look up replacement part costs and compare. The part I replaced took 45 min. At 79.00 my cost, their price 696.00. That's 617.00 for 45 min of labor.

From the salesman that came out to the installers to even the tech that comes out to give the maint checkup , all were friendly and professional. Great job to all.

I had my annual heating serviced today by Doug Smith. He discussed in detail everything that he did through pictures of my system. He also recommended a part that needed replacing and explained the reason why it should be replaced. He was polite and cleaned up after he was done. I always request him for my yearly maintenance because I know he will do a terrific job. Thanks Doug!

I received excellent customer service for a repair on my unit that was installed just under three years ago. The Service Manager, John Wuagneux, came out himself to take a look at my unit, competently diagnosed the problem, and resolved it to my satisfaction. Communication with all employees is always easy and friendly.

As always, very thorough and courteous service. Arrived on time and performed work in a timely manner.

Mark was my first contact with Clarke And Rush on Saturday. I told him what I wanted, I had researched systems for months knowing I needed to replace mine. Mark listened to what I wanted and gave me all the information I needed and a proposal for a new system. It was exactly what I needed and wanted. I signed the proposal on Monday. Mark was professional , answered all my questions and was so easy to work with.

Isaac was very professional and helpful with a repair to my hot water heater. He saved me over $1,000 with his expertise. My only complaint was the appointment time. Surely, a problem with scheduling. I expected the time to be as I was told and he came an hour later which made me late for a meeting as well.

Ray and Ed called me way ahead of the appointment to let me know what time they'd be at the house. They arrived exactly around the time they said they would. They took their time to put on PPE including shoe covers. They spent plenty of time to thoroughly check my HVAC system in and outside the house and found leaks from my condenser coils. It's concerning when you have a one year brand new air condition system and it's already malfunctioning and when trying to connect with a live person they are already over booked for service calls - what does that tell you about the brand? In this kind of weather and the way Clark and Rush brags about the quality - it's disappointing - I hope they will follow through with their word - I am not hopeful...

I had an amazing experience with this company! My heating and AC system went out, and I was so stressed out. Mark Thyne came out within a couple hours of me calling, and had me up and running with a brand new system within 48 hours. The installers were all very pleasant and hard workers. They explained everything to me from start to finish. Mark, came by during the day of install to check on us, and called the next day to make sure everything was working good, and to answer any questions I may have. Excellent customer service from start to finish! Thank you so much for everything, Mark and his team!

Thor was early for his appointment! He called in advance, and asked if he could come early, and I said yes. Then he was here as promised.
He did a through annual inspection, and said the system works great!
Clark & Rush do excellent work. They installed a new heat pump a couple years ago, with full heat and AC, and it runs great. Very quiet and good efficiency.

The tech was lazy. He didn't fix our air. I called and complaint he came back and did the work and had an attitude with me.

We had our Furnace checked prior to using this winter. C&R called prior to his arrival to let us know he was on the way. Clark and Rush sent a very professional technician who arrived on time. The technician inspected and tested our furnace for proper operation, he also inspected our air ducts for any leaks or damage. When he was done he cleaned up after himself and explained what he did and the results of his testing. We are all set for this winter and look forward to Clark & Rush checking out air conditioner for Spring and Summertime weather!

We just finished relacing 27 windows and added a sliding door. Every point of contact that we had from beginning (estimating) to the project completion was professional, on time and on estimate. Project took five days they left the place spotless at the end of each day.
The furnenence tech from Clark & Rush suggested we contact them on window replacement - didn't realize they did windows, Happy he made the suggestion.

The repair person was on time, clear and friendly. So unfortunately my system was not at its best. He clarified to both my niece and myself of what is to be expected being our system is really old. So, I’m hoping and praying that they will be able to really help us out being that technically summer is not here yet..So I’m really praying that they can work with us regarding our a/c, heating unit as far replacing with a new one. He even took the time to say there are programs that can assist me with a new unit. Hope to hear from them soon. Was here on 05-24-23 Wednesday morning.

Doug did a fantastic job. He remembered to put on booties before walking on the carpet. Those booties are important people!! He talked to us in language that we could understand instead of using a bunch of technical jargon. He was very professional and thorough with his maintenance of our air conditioning unit. He even explained why our air conditioner would benefit from a capacitor upgrade. We are happy with his job performance and give him a solid 5 stars across the board. I recently had a rather frustrating experience with an air conditioning repair service that I feel compelled to share. I shelled out $99 for an AC inspection, only to be informed by the technician that there was a refrigerant leak. Fine, I thought, I'll get it fixed. But the ordeal continued as I forked over an additional $189 for a leak detection service. To my dismay, the technician was unable to pinpoint the exact location of the leak. So, after a grand total of $288 spent, I've learned that my AC has a refrigerant leak, yet it's still as ineffective as ever. Needless to say, my wallet is lighter, and I'm left with a non-functional air conditioner.

The technitians knew what to do exactly. My AC started working again right away after the starter of the compression replaced. Well job done. 👍

I choose Clarke and Rush for my window installation due to two factors. First, they had the best price of the three window companies I interviewed, and I liked Tony the representative. Second, I had done business with Clarke and Rush in my previous house.
Knowing there were supply-chain and manufacturing issues in this country I ordered my windows in March 2022. As of the writing of this 11/15/2022 the “2-day” install of my windows is yet to be complete and the damage on my house so far has yet to be resolved.
Clarke and Rush is NOT the company it used to be. I am not sure what happened, but they have really walked away from any sense of customer satisfaction.

Update: Clarke & Rush did finish the job they were hired to do. I asked for a discount as I was not offered one at any time and I felt it was an appropriate request. I was given $150.00 off my invoice. I agreed to this small amount as I do not have any more time to spend on this issue. I will not be a customer of Clarke & Rush in any capacity going forward.

Had our annual check up everything was looking good. Javier was friendly and professional.
Unfortunately our capacitor decided to give us a problem a few days later and Garick/Clarke & Rush responded fast and Kurtis spent hours here and was persistent with finding what was wrong. We can't thank Kurtis, and Garick/Clarke & Rush for having such dedicated employees.
We will continue to recommend them to anyone who asks.

Clarke and Rush replaced my entire system with solar and mini splits in my home 8 years ago. I've only had 1 year that something hasn't broken on the system. I called in Aug/Sept during the heat wave when it broke once again for myself and my renters. 10 days of 100° heat. I still have no AC or heat and it's January. I called in December with no message back. And called again today in January with nothing back about the part I need. Their customer service is less than acceptable and if I could afford to take the whole system out and replace it I would. It's been a dud from the start. Stay away from Clarke And Rush. Don't waste your $$$

C&R did the original installation of my HVAC about 10 years ago. It has run flawlessly until this last heatwave. The cooling wasn’t quite up to par. I called and had to wait about two weeks for an appointment (completely understandable, there was a massive heatwave)

Tech arrived on time and went straight to work. Very friendly and courteous. Performed the needed maintenance. Found the compressor capacitor was weakened. Even showed me the readings on his test device.

Then he checked and cleaned the entire system. Told me it was pretty clean already.

Clarke & Rush always does great work. They keep my HVAC system running and go out of their way to make sure I get benefits that other companies might ignore.

We had an emergency problem in the bathroom with the bathtub, sink, and toilet. We called Roto-rooter and when they didn't show up for a long time we decided to call Clarke for help and they showed up in 10 minutes. The worker was very helpful and polite. Amazing service. Recommend for emergency services.

Value was good, communication throughout was excellent, when they installed they found several ducts that were damaged and leaking. This requires crawling under the house multiple times to fix. They did it all happily and without charging me extra. Great customer service and so far I'm super happy with the equipment they installed.

After some delays on my part, Brian showed up when I was finally able to make my order, understood what I needed, and the equipment was installed quickly and efficiently. A great team!

I’ve had Clark and Rush doing semi-annual maintenance on my 6-year old split heat pump HVAC system since I moved into my current home three years ago. They have always been on time, with plenty of confirmations beforehand, entirely professional, thorough in their checks, and knowledgeable when I had any questions. The one time the system broke down on me they were able to come out and repair it within 24 hours.

Ater four bids, Clarke and Rush stood out as the best for many reasons. They offered the best quality HVAC for a very competitive bid. They finished all the work in two days per our contract and did everything they said they would do. Very efficient and professional in all aspects.

Last year I bought a complete HVAC system from Clarke & Rush. They were by far the best price, but you tend to worry that you might not get a good product or service from the low bidder. Well, I got a pleasant surprise. They did the work quickly with a quality HVAC heater and A/C unit. We've now been through a summer and winter and are very pleased with the product. But there's more to the story. As part of the service you get some free service checks, then for a very competitive fee they come to your home to prepare your equipment for the coming season. Sergio was out the other day. I was surprised at how thorough he was. Not only did he do an extensive check of the A/C unit, he even cleaned inside and out. I highly recommend this company. Compare with other companies and I think you will agree.

We needed to replace our 25 year old HVAC system. We found them via a Google search and Clark and Rush was one of the few (maybe the only company) that offered an instant online quote. The web site was easy to use and we obtained a ballpark quote. I was expecting my phone to ring within 5 minutes of getting the quote, but it was actually a few days before someone called. So right from the start it was a pressure free experience.

We set up an appointment and Mark Thyme came out and got the necessary details. Mark is a mechanical engineer and is well versed on all aspects of HVAC systems, he is not a typical salesperson. He was very professional, low-key, with no pressure whatsoever. He dropped off the quote in person the following day.

Of the three quotes we received, Clark and Rush was in the middle pricewise and we went with their company based on the Carrier brand which is highly rated, and the highly positive Google and Yelp reviews. The company is also one of a handful of local companies that have access to a financing option through the state of California called a REEL loan (Residential Energy Efficient Loan). These loans have rates starting at 5.99 APR with terms up to 15 years. That process was very straight-forward and this program alone is a huge plus for anyone who needs to finance the purchase of an HVAC system.

Today, the installation team of Billy (lead installer), Clayton, and Matt arrived as promised promptly at 7:30 AM. They were extremely courteous, professional, hard-working, clean, and were wearing masks. They worked straight through and completed the job before 2:00 PM. Billy did a great job of explaining the entire system and walking us through the new Honeywell control system. Overall, a great installation experience.

The unit itself is very quiet, and visually appealing as well. C and R provides a two-year labor warranty, as well as two visits during the first year for system tune-ups.

We look forward to this system providing many years of comfort and we highly recommend Clark and Rush.

Mark did an excellent job explaining his assessment of our HVAC needs. He made every effort to answer my questions and ultimately provided a very competitive bid to replace our entire system. Clearly a very knowledgeable expert.

We have been with Clark and Rush for over 10 years, 2 AC's and a hot water heater. Recently we had a problem that originated with the installation of our HVAC 2 years ago. Clark and Rush staff took immediate ownership of the issue and remedied the situation for us with courtesy and respect.

We contacted Clark and Rush for a bid to replace our aging HVAC three weeks in advance. We own the home that needed work but live out of the area. Appointment day/time was very important. We received a call the night before asking if they could show up either the day before or the day after we were scheduled. We insisted we have someone there during our scheduled time. They showed up 30 minutes late and were very comfortable with trying to make us feel guilty for the salesman missing a christening in the bay area. He spent less than ten minutes selling his product and didn't look in our attic to assess the potential installation. This was a serious red flag and probably indicated that we would be hit with surprise charges if/when we had them complete the job. Everyone else delivered a bid on the spot, we waited until the next day for the salesman to leave the bid on our doorstep. Not impressed. These antics may work for some people. I'm not trusting you with tens of thousands of dollars for work.

Mr. Rush, I received your calls. However, with everything that is taking place in my life at the moment, the Yelp review I left for your company is NOT a priority for me. I clearly stated the facts and I we are now past the point of graceful resolve. Now that you have used threatening language in your contact, I no longer feel comfortable talking to you. We chose another company to give our business to. Your salesman was lacking professionalism and skill. I have no further business with you or your company and I will not submit to your bullying. Your company has work to do and you need to understand that customers are won with respect, courtesy, professionalism, and tact, not defensiveness and bullying. As for Yelp, this is our (the customer's) forum to express concern, anger, frustration, pleasure, or gratefulness. I hope my post has aided others in making their decision. Very professional & complete

Jon was very courteous and explained in good detail what needed to be done, using words I did not always understand. It seems that he was very thorough.

My air conditioning died on Friday. It was 104°outside and they were all booked up by the time I called. They managed to get to me Saturday morning, found a leak and got it fixed sooner than they rhought they would. Ray was very professional and kept me informed on what was happening. I would recommend them to anyone.

Great professional company. The receptionist is always super friendly and helpful. They always call and confirm their appointments in advance and then they call you approximately 30 minutes before the arrive. Just had a new furnace installed. Their sales rep was informative without any type of aggressive sales pitch. Their installation crew was the best! Austin and crew arrived promptly on the day of the install, worked very hard and cleaned up after themselves. Very friendly, efficient and respectful.

My experience with Thor the technician that sub contracted out was great. On time , still went up in my attic which was 120 degrees at the time to do his work when I suggested that he did not need to do that knowing that the drain was good, and even cleaned up a few bits of insulation after the work upstairs was completed. He then advised me that my compressor was drawing a lot of current , and advised as such. Being a former technician myself for over 42 years I appreciated his professionalism and skills

To prospective Clarke & Rush customers, I have been using Clarke & Rush for my HVAV equipment and service needs for over 30 years. I bought my first HVAC unit for my first home from them in 1987 and for my current home in 2015. My sales rep Aaron gave me a great deal on the most recent purchase and the installation got done very quickly even though we were in the middle of a triple digit Sacramento heat wave and they must have been slammed with business.
I also use them for all of my service needs. Recently, my HVAC unit at my office went down on a hot July day and their tech was out within a couple hours and had us back up and cool within 30 minutes.
I can't recommend Clarke & Rush more highly.

Don't waste your money here. Our A/C stopped working and Clarke & Rush was the only company that would come out for an emergency call. We were told it would be $125 for the after hour visit. We agreed.

Zack the technician told me that the pricing would not go towards any repairs done to the unit. Again, we agreed. He then came back and told us that the A/C would need a new motor $857, a compressor motor start $149, a cf motor start $149, a compressor saver kit $269 (which he said was not necessary to get the the A/C up today). I previously worked at an HVAC company and know that the pricing is extremely high. When I asked him about it, Zack replied that all costs were industry standard. When I told him that I know that the motor doesn't cost that much, he says that the pricing comes from having to order the part, pick it up, and come back to the house for installation. This all makes sense, but to charge 6 times the amount for the part is insane!! I told him it doesn't even cost more than $500 to get a new motor in Hawai'i which has to import all their parts on top of the ordering, picking up, and return visit. He replied again, it is industry standard, but that's Hawai'i. I'm sorry. If it is industry standard that all A/C companies would have roughly the same cost, and Hawai'i is still a part of the industry, even if it isn't a part of the continental US.

Overall, Clarke & Rush will steal all of your money and send you a tech that doesn't know anything about the industry standard, nor do they care that they're taking all your money.

They installed a complete HVAC system 2years ago which developed a problem with the heating system and repaired it at no cost with the same quality service as the original installation. Its hard to find companies today that value their customers over profit; Clarke Rush is a truly customer oriented business.

Very disappointed with water heater repair experience. Wasted most of the day waiting for two separate techs who were admittedly untrained in diagnosing and fixing my problem. Had to go to another company for prompt, efficient repair.

Jenifer alerted me by phone that tech., Sergio, was en route. He arrived promptly as scheduled, and was very thorough and professional. He cleaned leaves out of the AC condenser and answered all my questions about programming the thermostat.

Robert was the techician plumber who went twice to get parts to get my hot water heater fixed in the same day. I had been without hot water for two weeks. He worked until 5:30 involvement of over 5 hours. His cell phone wasn't able to hold a charge. So he had additional challenges. I allowed him to use mine. Megan in customer service was also a great help .
He used mine. He was punctual , had a pleasant attitude. And was patient throughout. I recommend him. Yes he offered an option to replace initially the water heater that was seven years old, I felt he was absolutely dedicated to resolving the problem as quickly as possible and put alot of effort in that direction. .

Raymond Walker worked to diagnose the issues with my HVAC Carrier Infinity, found the problems, ordered the necessary part(s), and installed it. Cleaned the equipment, changed the HEPA filter, was professional, personable, and punctual. Glad I finally found a company that knows Carrier systems.

Justin, Luke and Erik were great! They installed a new system while I was catching up on sleep after a late night of unpacking. They were really respectful to not interrupt me without good cause and made the entire experience painless. They even realized that one of the procedures they were contracted to do was unecessaay and worked with me to skip it and save money off the original quoted price. We have been using Clarke and Rush ever since they replaced our heating and AC system around 2001. That system was still running fine, but due to its age we decided to replace it C&R technician's arrived on time the day of installation and immediately went to work. They discovered a few problems with the new equipment and immediately fixed them to my great satisfaction. The technicians were very courteous and friendly. We are now living in a very comfortable home and look forward to many carefree years with our new system.The old system was Carrier and it was replaced by the same.

I have always been happy with Clark and Rush. Their service is excellent. I use them for Hvac & plumbing. My only complaint is with the hvac system I bought from them. It's a very very expensive lemon.

Had my HVAC system replaced, by Clarke and Rush, eight years ago. Have had two time annual maintenance since then. The past 3 years, have had an ongoing issue with the heat, but very infrequent. This year, it finally became excessive to where the heat was on, but cold air blew. Sent e-mail to Clarke and Rush to request maintenance appointment. The individual, who contacted me explained that a diagnostic appointment would be better. Fortunately, I received an appointment for the following day. Raymond showed up and was so happy to see him. He has serviced my HVAC several times and does an outstanding job. He is not just efficient, but personable and caring. Always explains issues, etc. Needless to say, two parts were replaced, and as there is a 10 year warranty on all original parts the bill only covered installation and diagnostic appointment. Final bill was $215 and the system seems to be acting like it first did after being installed. Good job, as usual to Clarke and Rush employees!

We had Clark and Rush do Energy Efficient windows, furnace upgrade, insulation improvements, thermostat upgrade, and annual inspections. Just re-newed the annual inspection service.

OMGosh, we can't recommend Clark Rush enough. We've been doing business with them 40 or so years and they never disappoint. We’ve used them throughout the years in 2 different homes (installation & repairs), but in this review I will stick to today’s experience.

Last night our air conditioner decided to malfunction :( Of course during triple digits, 3 days before a house party.
I called Clark Rush around 10 am Friday morning, never expecting to get an appointment before the party, but regardless system would need to fixed at some point.

Christina got us a service appointment at 2pm, and we had cold air a-blowin’ by 3:30!!! She was so friendly & patient as I was having a slight meltdown wondering how we could pull off a party in 107 degree heat.
The technician, Ray, was amazing. He diagnosed the problem, keeping us apprised of his progress at every step. He was really knowledgeable and explained things in an understandable manner. If it wouldn’t have been inappropriate I would have hugged him when I felt that first breeze ;)

Wow....Clarke & Rush recently installed a new HVAC system replacing a 28-year old system...yes, it was still working. We were really pleased at the installation as well as the price...very competitive. The three installers were terrific to work with. I recently had an issue with the SMART thermostat. I thought it was defective so I called. They sent out a service technician who very politely guided me through how a SMART thermostat works. Opps...I guess the thermostat is smarter than me. I told him, he should have just called me and saved the trip. No problem, he assured me. He also checked out the system to make sure it was in good working order. I am impressed with Clarke & Rush. Clark and Rush has been my heating and cooling specialists for over 30 years. The staff are great and the techs well trained, polite, and very competent. I just had my system's annual maintenance and Megan and Jass demonstrated the excellent qualities I have come to expect.

I was referred to Clarke & Rush by a friend whose friends own an HVAC company that doesn't do business in West Sacramento. I called Clarke & Rush and signed up for their maintenance plan. They were able to schedule an appointment much sooner than I expected (5 stars for responsiveness). The technician arrived on time (5 stars) and was very professional (5 stars). He spent a good deal of time, during the hottest part of the day, inspecting my 25 year old roof-top unit before giving it a clean bill of health (5 stars for good value). The technician did not try to upsell me on a new unit, nor did he advise any necessary repairs, so I can't rate for 'quality' with regard to equipment, but the service was exceptional (5 stars for quality service). We had a free plumbing inspection coming and Kenny was sent out. He was on time, wore the shoe booties to keep our floors clean, checked out the water heater and all the toilets and sinks for leaks, drainage, and type of pipe in the house. He noticed mildly slow drainage in two sinks and offered to clean them out at no charge, which was done. Our water heater is old but working so he gave us a quote for a new one after making a call to be sure about any needed code upgrades. Rick and Kevin were great at handling my dead heat pump!!! A contractor crimped the electrical line while replacing siding near the unit and caused a fuse to blow. Rick found it right away and replaced the fuse.

Had an issue with outside heat pump frosting. Service man came and first thing he said is this is an old unit and you if the r22 freon is very expensive ie hundreds of dollars. I said would just go ahead a do your diagnostic pls and we can talk. He was preping me and his attitude was you are ikely going need a new A/C unit. He finally said I adjusted the defrosting from 90min to 50min. It my tuneup $77 took 15min. He did solve the problem but attitude was not professional. Will never use them even when we in need of a new HVAC system!

I had the installers come out to replace my windows and it was a fiasco ! They damaged many of my shutters while removing them for the window replacement. And one of my larger shutters in the kitchen even came crashing down on the installers head and came crashing down on my wood floors ! And the other lead installer told me it was courtesy for them to take down the shutters and not their job ! I immediately called their supervisor Tony about the ordeal and he was able to credit me for the damage on my shutters that I had Budget Blinds repair and replace them for a cost of 1200.00 dollars. And with all the time and appointments I had to schedule for the repair on my shutters, I actually had to ask Tony for some compensation. which he finally granted to me after getting an approval from the owner. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone for the total disregard to the the homeowners property and the unprofessionalism of the installers !

Robert arrived on time and efficiently made the toilet repairs that I had requested. His knowledge and work will end up saving us considerable expense in the future.

I just had my Carrier Heat Pump and ducting installed by Clark and Rush. The 17 year old system, had posed some challenges to replace. There was some thinking outside of the box, by Tony and Tobiah, to be able to install the new system. I was very impressed by the knowledge and capability, to step up, to the challenges posed. Attention, to detail, was impeccable. The pride, in their workmanship, to do the job correctly, was most obvious. Thank you Tobiah, for the added touch, at the end, to finish the job off, in the closet.
Tobiah and Tony, were very Respectful and conscious, about there cleanliness and also about, not damaging my home. It was extremely appreciated. I will be recommending Clark and Rush!

Needed new AC/heating. Called Clarke and Rush, spoke with Julie who wanted to expedite my request since I didn't have AC and Mark was sent out to evaluate and give me a bid. Very thorough and easy to work with, not to mention, the best price by far out of 3 bids.
Today, Luke along with Matt and George came to install my new system. Very professional, worked well together, great explanations of what was happening by Luke throughout the project.

Ray with Clarke & Rush quickly found the problem with my air condition (blown capacitor). He didn’t try and tell me I needed a whole new system like seen on those NBC Dateline shows. He told me how to clean my system and about preventive maintenance to help keep my 25 year old system going. He provided information for a replacement system should it become necessary in the future; a more efficient system and competitive pricing. But in no way did he tell me I need it now. I appreciated his honesty.

a-1 service and a-1 people. they treat your home as if it is their own by donning protective covers over their street shoes upon entering. they are professional and courteous, and offer exceptional pricing for products and service. I I cannot say enough good things about this company.

I found out that the starter capacitor from a fellow resident was priced in Amazon for over $11. This company charged me over a 1000% like $130. I didn't mind paying the labor charge of $99. However our parts are covered by Carrier Warranty.
I wrote them back about this matter and so far no response. I don't mind paying a companies markup on items they stock, maybe 2 to 300% but 1000% is robbery. I found this out from our neighborhood which is a recent build with over 100 homes with all Carrier Air Conditioner systems. I will tell the eighborhood people to avoid your company if you keep this practice up. ⁸

We replaced a couple of window panels. Dan was great to work with from estimate to installation. Communication was excellent and the entire process was a breeze. 5 stars!

So far...not so good.... before I have even had them provide service. This is my 2nd attempt to schedule an appt... will spare the details of the last one. In any case, I decided to try again. My appointment is tomorrow 2/12- but no one has contacted me with any details as time, confirming service..etc. So I decide to call them. I get customer service (which is whole other story, but to this point, I tried to confirm arrival time....slowly I pulled out of her 8-10. Then I ask, can you confirm what I am having done...answer, they will both be there??? what??? so I asked again, can you confirm my service... uh, bid??? water heater?? uh hmmm...wait... Sso I am pressed at work myself and she says, let me put you on hold, I say no please-- I am busy. Can you please research and call me back with the specifics I am looking for... silence, long silence... then I say hello???? Finally she says, I gonna put you on hold and find out, I say no please don't I have to go just call me back...again, she argues to out me on hold. Finally, I just say, I have to go... I'm late, please call me back. that was 9:43am this morning, it is 10:10am... how hard is it to look up my work order and call me back. My question to Rush... do I have an appointment tomorrow, what is it for and what time????? Fingers are crossed......

Could not ask for better service. Everyone was polite and caring. Steve and Billy were above and beyond belief, they worked through rain and wind while installing the a/c unit. I can't imagine many people doing this.

Geordan White arrived on time, had lots of experience with the type of ceiling entrance to the attic to check the unit. It is a bit tricky and he was the first person who knew how to do it without being told the tricks. He was very professional and I appreciated his expertise. I will request him to do the twice-yearly checks in the future.

Robert came out to unclog my kitchen sink, was very courteous and conscientious. Cleaned up his work. Would definitely call him back.

Worst customer service in the area!! Terrible rude employees and the owner Laura is a total scammer. Wanted thousands of dollars to put in a new unit that was a necessity. Had another company come and refill the Freon for less than 300! Total scammers don't waste your time or money on these greedy crooks!

I had a complete system installed in Feb 2018 by Clarke and Rush. In May 2020, my AC stopped working. I called Clarke and Rush and they came out immediately even though the warranty just expired. The compactor was bad and It is now fixed. I am ready for the summer.

AC went out in 103 heat. They found the problem and ordered the part. They could not fix it for two days so they brought my tennants a portable air conditioner to save the day. John, the service manager was great.
Best customer service ever!

Clark and Rush bought the company that originally installed my A/C system. System is 6 years old. The system was not cooling so I called Clark and Rush (C & R). The technician had me set the thermostat to call for cooling. The technician was at the outdoor condensing unit. He noticed oil at the bottom of the unit. He put his gauges on the unit and said there was no pressure. Obvious that there must be a leak. The technician spray a solution on the area and said he could not find the leak so therefor I would need a dye check and it would cost around $600. I said there is no way I could afford that. He insisted that will be the only way to find the leak. He would put the dye in, charge the system and return in about tow weeks and hopefully find the leak. Of course the service charge would be $89. When I received the bill the dye check was quoted at $501. A couple days later I decided to check the system myself. I sprayed a solution on the different joints in the condensing unit and I immediately saw the bubble which pinpointed the leak. And I spent less time that the service technician who is suppose to be an expert. So C & R charged me $89 and only confirmed I had a leak and wanted $501 to find the leak. I am a homeowner and I found the leak. I feel that C & R just wants to rip you off to line their pocket and does the technician perhaps gets a commission? And C & R also says don't trust what is said but only what is written. If I could have given a zero on the review I would have. Watch out for them.

Charged $350 for a 15 minute swap out of a $30 capacitor. Did the work and then asked for payment without disclosing what the charge was beforehand. The technician was friendly, but really disappointed in what was charged versus the value. Will not be going back to this company unless they change their pricing practices and provide up front quotes.

I had not planned to rate Clark and Rush. They requested this...My technician was unable to diagnose the specific issue with my heater. His suggestion was to replace several components which would likely be expensive or replace the entire unit. I would have to wait for two days to get a quote, despite no heat in my house.

I called another company who came immediately and diagnosed the issue in 10 minutes. He laughed at my previous diagnosis and fixed the issue for $120. I will never use Clark and Rush again.

The complete process from quotation to installation of the HVAC System was excellent. I would highly recommend Clarke and Rush.

First off I had no problem with the technician. He did an awesome job. I had my had my old hvac for 30 years. It died of old age. Then I had a new hvac installed by C & R. at a very pricey rate. My understanding is the new unit uses. inferior parts that failed after 3 years. (Designed to fail?) Now I am out a good chunk of change to repair a relatively new hvac unit. Very frustrating. I'm holding my breath for the future.

I called for my AC being out at 8am told repair person would be out the same day at noon to 2pm. He arrived at 11am and had my AC repaired by 11:30. He also told me my unit was still under warranty so the only cost was the service call and labor. You can’t get better than that.

Ray was very nice to deal with, polite and considerate. He did have to come out 3 separate times because at the first and second times out he discovered that another part had to be replaced. I don't know that that could have been avoided. Clark and Rush installed the unit. Ray checked the warranty and was able to find out that the parts ( but not the labor) were covered which was much appreciated. I would definitely use Clark and Rush again.

AC not cooling parts under warranty kinda expensive for service considering I had paid for a year maintenance service and was told I would get 10% because I have maintenance service receipt didn’t reflect discount.

AC system stopped cooling called Clark and Rush, they dispacthed a Service tech within 24 Hrs. Service tech arrived on time diagnosed the issue, replaced the needed part in less than an hour. great service friendly and respectful service.

He cleared the lines, then ran a camera to look for anything possibly blocking the line. He said eventually we would have to replace the clean out under our house.

What a joke! If you like being ripped off, call Clark & Rush! AC unit wasn't working well so I called c&r and paid them 89.99 to come out figure out the problem and get an estimate to fix it. They weren't able to actually find the problem, so instead I got a list of things that probably needed to be replaced ranging from $169- $897! The following day I called another hvac company, they came out pin pointed the problem (a fan motor) and replaced it the following day for a very reasonable price! The unit's working like new again! My advice (be careful who you choose to do your work)

Clarke & Rush responded to my AC repair request same day, at a time when I really needed it to work. Sr. Tech Geordan was fast and efficient, explaining what he did as he went along, and fixing a system that is kind of aged, without trying to sell me something new. They have a customer for life.

Once again they have gone above and beyond regular customer service. Always very professional and provided me with same day service. I will always have Clarke & Rush do the servicing on my HVAC unit.

I had my A.C. done about 1 year ago and Bryant was the best and took his time to talk to me about every thing.
So this week I got new windows. I was so happy when Bryan came and talked to me again. He came back with Tony the window and the was good also. I tell you I have nothing bad to say about this company, I fill like i am part of the clark and rush family.

Sales and install were great; however since that time, May of 2021 it's been crickets. I've never received my packet of info so that I may schedule an inspection with my City. I've called repeatedly and never receive a call back. Then they had a 3rd party inspector come out without advising me ahead of time and boy, was he a piece of work. I wanted a certain brand of system so I went with C&R, however for any service going forward I'll go back to Bell Bros. I think my new $11,000 system has some mechanical issues but I'll wait till it craps out I guess.

The best .Got the heat working after the other company said it was shot.
That's why if at all possible GET A SECOND OPINION. They will be our go to company from now on.

I had a seasonal check up on my new HVAC system I purchased in February in 2017 from Clark and Rush. I had been very satisfied with the system and happy with the Service I received up to the point where the service technician mentioned that I must have requested the brand I purchased because it is not his favorite. He went on to say a few other comments and I tried to redirect him as to not disparage national brands his company carries. After spending close to 10k I felt a bit let down and not as confident in the company as I did prior to his visit. On the other hand all my phone inteactions with company have been excellent.
