Excellent service!

American was able to find where they believe I am loosing water. Have not had repairs done but technicians seemed very thorough.

In 10 minutes the tech from ALD found the leak (next to the City meter - homeowner's side). Good job (but kinda pricey).

There was no leak found in the major water closed lines so no equipment was used.

American Leak Detection gave me an estimate of $3800 to repair a slab leak by rerouting the plumbing. Neil and Zachary came to our house and quickly identified the problem and within 4.5 hours they finished the work, turned on the water, identified a few minor plumbing leaks above the slab, repaired those leaks, and because they worked so efficiently and under the estimated time allotted, they only charged $3000 for their work.

We contacted American Leak Detection of Sacramento to find and repair a constant leak that was dropping the water level in our in-ground swimming pool. The main office was very courteous and handled our call very thoroughly. They asked simple but detailed questions that helped in setting up the pool inspection.

The service technician, Neal, was on time and called 15-minutes before the appointment time to let us know to expect him. Neal was very friendly and professional. He inspected the pool for leaks and gave us details as he proceeded and explained what each test was for and why it was being done. He did find the leak and we will schedule a repair date once the temperature warms. Neal was fantastic to work with and represented his company well.

Overall, American Leak Detection of Sacramento and their technician did a very good job, and we highly recommend them.

Very expensive but a necessary service.

When they first came out they tried but couldn't pressurize my system so they recommended I have a local plumber attach a bib at the NID box which I did. The day they scheduled a return the original technician had called in sick so the local manager Monte came up to my place in Nevada City, found the leak, and only charged me for one hour of his time. He was very personable and obviously knowledgeable. I would recommend them.
LATER ADDITION: the site they located was directly on center and 3.5 to 4 feet underground. Good work!

American pure came out to identify a leak on my fountain. They thought they found a leak in the concrete and plugged it. They could not perform a leak detection on the plumbing due to an electrical wire. I was charged full price (over $400) to have a partial service performed. The seal on the concrete did not fix the leak. They said I needed an electrician to remove the wire and they would be able to come out and complete the testing on the drains. To do this they would charge me FULL PRICE a second time to complete the service that was not completed in the first place. I would NOT RECOMMEND using this company. There are many other leak detection companies that are more professional and have better ethics than American Leak detection.

I had a broken irrigation supply line in my backyard but we were unable to find the source - I had to turn off and the water and attempt to hand water. The company responded quickly to my call - office staff were very helpful, explained costs and booked me for an appointment. The techs were efficient and professional and detected the area of the leak within an hour of arrival. We never would have found the leak (way across the yard from the supply line to a set of valves) without American Leak Detection.

Even though we had to remove a tree and cut 6 inch roots out of our way to get to the water main where the leak was marked off, we found no leak,had to call for 2nd visit they were their in an hour to help figure out the problem and we got it solved

Max had his suspicions about the leak and quickly diagnosed and verified where the leak was with his handy microphone kit. Fortunately an easy fix and he suggested a landscape firm would probably be less expensive for the repair.

Jeremy, the technician who performed the repairs, was on time, communicative, and fixed the leak in the underground main water feed the first time. The technician came out to try and detect where a leak was coming in to retrofit windows. He determined where it was showing up in the new window, but not where the water was coming from.

Called Monday morning because I had a leak that was running into the neighbors yard. Even though they had a full schedule for the next couple days Monte made an emergency trip up to Auburn, tracked down the leak and also discovered a valve box that I had been trying to track down for a long time. Max and Matt did a fine job finding and repairing the water leak in our home. We would use American Leak Detection of Sacramento again if the need arises.

They located a damaged hole in the stucco, which was the cause of the leak.

After the recent storms in February, I started noticing water stains on the walls and baseboards of my basement. I wasn’t sure if I had a plumbing leak. So I scheduled an appointment to detect where the leak was coming from. I was happy with the theories about what the problem was. For sure they determined it wasn’t a plumbing leak, and more likely to be water infiltration. They just didn’t know exactly where. I think they did the best they could. But I am left trying to get a second opinion from a plumber to narrow things down further.

Neal Grosz was the technician dispatched. He was AMAZING: knowledgeable, professional, super friendly, explained what he was doing step by step, etc. I highly recommend Neal and this company.

I think the young man went the extra mile to find any leaks. And was able to detect one. This was the second company I called first one found nothing.

They were extremely helpful. Went above and beyond to inspect everything and to explain my options. They did more than anyone else who had been out to look at our house. I would highly recommend.

They sent a real expert, Ivan, who diagnosed the pool plumbing leak under the patio, estimated the repairs, and came back to do the fix himself. He was totally prepared with everything he needed. I wasted time with other companies on the phone, but American just took charge. I would definitely hire them again, and ask for Ivan.

Very unprofessional, their truck blocked my driveway while I was in need to exit my garage to seek medical help. I called the number on the truck and ask lady who answered if she can locate their team members so they can move the the truck; she was super rude and told me to go around my neighborhood and look for them myself. I told her that I am doing a favor to your company and calling you politely to do that for me otherwise I can call towing company. She was very unprofessional yelling at me and telling me to go ahead and call towing company and hung up on me. So, yes very unprofessional blocking other people’s driveways and not handling a nice and polite call. You are maybe good at your services but you can not disturbed other people lives by just focusing on customers . You have to be nice to community and not block people’s driveways. Very rude receptionist. There is more to it...I will add it shortly. I do have supporting picture .

Having cracks in my stucco around a window and knowing that 3 of my immediate neighbors had had water intrusion behind the stucco from issues around windows I was concerned about possible water intrusion at my home. Stucco repair guy recommended I have a leak detection company and check for moisture in wall. Maureen set me up with an appt with Paul for the next day. Paul called and let me know when he was on his way and arrived with a face covering and socially distanced. He listened to my concerns and looked both inside and outside and used a meter around and below the windows and did not find any evidence of moisture which was reassuring to me. Paul was very professional, patient and engaged throughout the visit. He definitely did not try to push anything I didn’t need, and talked with the company before I left to make an adjustment to my quoted cost. I wish all technicians that came to my house were as kind and easy to work with!!

I had a leak in the garage that was coming from underneath the slab, so I called these guys to help detect the leak. They took my CC before booking the appointment. When the guy came he pressurized the main line with air and saw air bubbles coming from my underneath my slab. He used an ultrasonic device to try to pinpoint my leak based on sound. He was not able to locate the leak and left after seeing that the lines in my attic were discontinue. They told me they could not continue since the lines in the attic was discontinued, even though the leak was not from the attic and it was from the ground. They charged my CC $395, just to tell me I had a leak coming from the ground!

I hired a local plumber who was able to find the leak and isolate the line. Who also told me they SHOULD have been able to isolate the line.

If your leak is easy to detect these guys might be able to detect it for you. If it's remotely challenging, they will not and they will charge you full price for it.

Looked for a leak in all the pool water lines and spa. Task showed there to be no leak in any of the water lines. We had a leak in our pool and we didn't know who to call. We were referred to American Leak Detection. I selected Request a Quote on Yelp and I was contacted immediately. We were able to get an appointment right away. Paul Upton was our technician and he was awesome. He found a crack in one of the steps in our pool. He gave me his cell phone number so I could let him how much water we were losing on a daily basis so he could determine how bad the leak was. This was over and above what he needed to do. I really appreciate Paul's knowledge and great customer service!!

I felt compelled to write a review after Paul from American Leak detection came to our home to find an out door irrigation leak that another company tried for a week and a half to find. After being unable to water during a heatwave and multiple failed attempts by another company to find a massive leak that we were alerted to by EID water company we called American Leak Detection Company. We were given an appointment the next day and the lady on the phone was very knowledgable, saying she would send their best and most experienced man out on the job since we had had so much trouble finding this leak. Paul showed up on time and was very polite and knew exactly what he was doing. It was not an easy job, but after using his specialized equipment and pressurizing our entire irrigation system, BINGO, the leak was found, on the other side of our property draining into a backyard creek! We would have never found it otherwise. So thankful to Paul for his expertise.

I was told that the tech will check for leaks the whole plumbing inside the house. That did not happen. He came in for 30 minutes and check for the area of leak where i pointed to.

They found my pool leak very quickly. Another leak detection company looked for many hours($$$$)and came up empty.

Did a great job communicating on time and were able to address the problem.

I have a water leak under the ground that a plumber could see. So I contacted American Leak Detection to locate the leak. A technician came out and walked around the property. He recommended to change the irrigation valves before he could have the accurate reading and the total cost was $475.00. After the valves were fixed, I called them again to tell them that the water meter still spinning. They want another $275 to test it again when the contract stated :

GUARANTEE: Leak detection work is guaranteed for 30 days from the date of completion. We will retest the system (at no cost up to the original allotted time) or refund the fee (at our sole option), if it is reported within the 30 day period, if a leak still exists.

I called me another plumber and he diagnosed that the main line is rusted without using high tech device and would need to replace the whole waterline. He also would guarantees that if there is still a leak, he would not charge me at all.

Meanwhile, American Leak Detection did not help me anything, but only cost me more. It is a scam and does not stand by what they guarantee. What a waste of time and money.

FYI, I asked the plumber to replace the main water line and the problem solved. Obviously, your 35 years experience did not help me anything.

I was able to get a next day appointment. The service was fast and the leak was immediately found where I thought it would be difficult to locate.

Hire a plumber to come out. This service was sub-par at best. I learned very little and for $375 for a 20 min walk through with head phones and a 'leak detector wand'. I say give it a pass and find a plumber who owns that equipment and hire them. 1 meter and 6 outdoor spigots were checked.

Did great, met all my expectations to confirm any and a lack of leaks to confirm there was no more large leaks.

I had a very small leak on my main water line outside. Your Technician Paul was able to finally detect it after much searching and he put his flag in the ground and said it within 3 foot of this spot, well when I dug down he had actually placed the flag top dead center of the leak, which really saved me a lot of digging. Thanks for your diligent search.

American Leak is amazing! We had an under slab foundation leak and they came out and pinpointed the area with the leak. They performed repairs and were extremely professional and helpful. They are considerate of their customers and really care about the work they do. I can’t recommend them enough if you have a leak issue. Total confidence in this company! They came out to inspect our pool and found a leak by the pool light. During the scheduling process they made it sound as if they'll take care of any small repairs. After the leak was found the technician said that he'd have to check with the office for the repairs but we never heard back from the tech or the office. I reached out and left them a message and no response.
DO NOT GIVE THEM A CREDIT CARD TO KEEP ON FILE UNTIL THE FULL JOB IS DONE. A RIP OFF!

Huge thanks to American Leak Detection of Sacramento. We feared we had a leaking pool. Paul showed up and took great care of us. He stayed in touch almost everyday between two visits, checking the status of our pool and spa water levels. All that communication helped him with a quick and solid diagnosis on the return visit. A relatively minor fix with the spa! The entire experience was great! Paul and the ALD team were professional, efficient and valued our time. We hope we don't have too, but should we have another issue in the future, we would absolutely call them again! Cheers!

So professional, the tech Matt was on time, did a thorough check of our pool, no leaks found. Did recommend some very affordable small repairs that we know about already. I had a question a few days later and Matt came right out to address my question. Service, professionalism, conscientious, are top notch.

We had an issue with noisy construction in our neighborhood that made it impossible to accomplish leak detection. This company worked with us and the offending construction company to arrange a date and time that the construction noise would stop and the leak detection folks could come do their thing. They were amazing! Timely, professional, easy to work with! I would definitely use them again (although I hope I never have to!)

We had a broken irrigation pipe & we were using 5,800 gallons of water per day per our water company. We had 2 different plumbers come out first to try to locate the leak & neither of them could find it. American Leak Detection came out & located it within 40 minutes of arriving at our house. He marked it & was able to come back 2 days later to fix the pipe & check again for any leaks. Max was very professional & a great guy! He was awesome!! Our only regret was not knowing about this company to call them first. We definitely recommend this company.

ALD team is friendly, punctual, and most importantly know what they are doing. All other plumbing businesses I called turned me down due to lack of right equipment to locate the leak. ALD is one stop for all plumbing and repairs. Pipe leak repaired in under four hours! One area they need to work on is answering phone calls; however they have high call volumes because they are highly reliable and popular (so can’t blame them for this). If I ever need plumbing needs again, ALD is at the top of the list.

Paid for leak detection for under slab leak. They jack hammered the slab out and couldn't find the leak. Closed the slab, charged me about $500 and then said the leak was under the bath tub. They don't pull and replace tubs. Turns out that was untrue too. I hired a real plumber and he located and fixed the leak without pulling the tub.

First let me say that I have never submitted a review of any company, service or even restaurant but felt compelled to do so after my experience with this company. I originally called this company on 6/30, explained to the receptionist my issue and was told it sounded like a sprinkler issue. She gave me the name of AJS Sprinklers who came out on 7/6. They tested all the sprinklers and said it was a leak and I should call American Leak Detection.....so I did. AJS advised that it would be between $275-$300 to diagnose the issue. I called American Leak Detection and left a message, no response. Called again on the morning of 7/7, spoke with receptionist who said rep would be out between 3-5pm and asked for my credit card to put on hold. Max came out, did the diagnostic review (took approximately 45 minutes) and flagged where the leak was. I asked him what the cost would be to repair and how soon it could be done. He quoted $1200.00, said it was standard pricing and said I would need to speak to office about repairing. I asked about the charge for the service he had provided and he said the office would send me a report of the findings via email with the affiliated charge. Wednesday morning I see a charge on my account for 395.00 but have yet to be contacted by anyone or provided with paperwork for the services. In the meantime I found a plumber who did the work for 175.00. To date I still do not have my report or even a receipt of payment yet they have my money. This company is a rip off and do not do business in a manner that I would consider professional. Advice to all do research and find a dependable plumber. I should have and would have saved $395.00
