Happy customer here, my wife and I shopped all over Phoenix for quality shutters at a reasonable price. Our realtor referred us to Sun Devil Shutters and I'm so glad she did. They have great pricing, an outstanding sales team, and knowledgeable customer service reps who handled our one and only problem (scheduling issue) immediately. Our shutters look beautiful and everyone always asks us where we bought them. My wife and I love these shutters and we’ll totally be recommending Sun Devil Shutters to our friends.

The product came out beautiful, But... How this company handles business is not somebody that I would recommend to a friend my grandmother had her shutters have to be redone 4 times due to poor measurements! With no trying to make it right. My experience was a little better my shutters came in and were measured properly my sales associate That came in measured my house that could not answer any of my questions about my grandmother's shutters, but very quick to call me over what he thought was a billing problem due to not remembering what I had paid. In short great product poor business practice.

I have been doing business with this company for the last 5 years and they never cease to amaze me. With my most recent purchase, I had the opportunity of working with Doug, he is the epitome of excellent customer service. From start to finish he was completely involved in the whole process, making sure that we were extremely satisfied with our finished product. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a quality experience.

I am only giving two stars because their products are good. However, this company is a nightmare to deal with. The first appointment, they showed up with half of the shutters not being the right ones, and completely forgot to bring our bathroom window shutter. Also, they were over an hour late to the scheduled time frame. The second appointment to fix the mishaps, they were also significantly late, but on the positive side, the correct shutters were installed.
Now, for the worst part. At the beginning of this process we were told it was about a 5 week waiting period. Which was fine with us, but we didn’t want to put a bunch of holes in the walls with curtains until the shutters were installed. We were provided with temporary blinds that just stick to the wall. When those were removed, our paint came off with the strip. When we called the company to complain because they provided the product they tried to refuse to fix it. In fact, we were told it has never happened and that we must of either purposely done it, or glued them onto the wall! Why would I intentionally ruin the paint in my brand new home? Than to top it off, the guy fixing the damage did not realize my husband speaks fluent Spanish, he was complaining on the phone about having to do it, and again accusing us of using glue or doing this on purpose. He also did a terrible job repairing the damage. At this point I am just done with this company. Believe the terrible reviews.

The price was good but the quality was lacking. I asked the estimator if the shutters would be any different from the ones I currently had in the house. He said the only difference would be that they would just have a single bevel. I could live with that difference. When they arrived they had several differences. They were only wood grained on the blades not the whole shutter , they had white hinges not brass , the center control arm was not contoured at the top , and the shutter blades themselves were twice as long with no hinges in the middle which makes them more like swinging gates than bi-fold shutters.

We love the shutters but they are having trouble with the install process. Our sales person said that the company will repaint an existing shutter from their company 1x, so that they match. They literally came out 3x to reinstall the freshly painted arched shutter and throw a no show in there....only to see that it wasnt even painted but nicked and scratched up. We have called and received no return calls from Adan. We expect to have this resolved but REALLY? Its been months. We are frustrated because we typically would recommend them.

Sun devil shutters did a great job with our home. I was surprised they would leave their measurements and pricing for me to use while shopping, but they did. Confidence in their pricing and confidence in their product says a lot about a company. I do not often refer companies but will be glad to do so when somebody asks about my window coverings. Every window turned out as expected and to my satisfaction.

We have had Sundevil Shutters/ American MFG install shutters in two of our homes now. Like most of the reviews they really seem to struggle with the install and craftsmanship process. We were ok with working with them because of their great pricing. But like most companies they are raising their prices and I don’t think it’s worth the headache anymore. It’s been a month since they were installed and we are still waiting for them to fix binding and crooked shutters.

This is the second time I've used Sun Devil for my shutters and I love them! Not only are they exactly what I wanted they were half the cost of the other estimates I received. Also, the staff, from the consultation and measuring, the installers, and the office staff, are a pleasure to work with. I actually ordered a bifold for my patio doors and they brought me a sliding bypass. I realized I didn't have room for the bifold and was so grateful they brought and installed the bypass! Knowing the bypass would cost more I was willing to pay the difference but GiGi in the office said it was a gift to me! How awesome is that? Great company all around. I highly recommend them. We ordered shutters and they are beautiful. The office staff was both informative and very helpful. The installers very good and professional. I can not say enough good things about the salesman, product information, tidyness and such a pleasure to work with. Thank you to everyone at sun devil shutters. I will be.glad to refer this company to my friends, co-workers and neighbors.

It’s 10/11/21 and we are currently in the process of getting our shutters done. Pure incompetence. Doug the sales guy came out twice to measure a window that was overlooked the first time. Lost the measurements and came out again to measure. We are STILL waiting on that shutter to be done. Gigi the manager and Art one of the top managers assured us the last two shutters would be put in front of the line. Installers came out today with only ONE shutter and clueless about the window that was now overlooked a SECOND time because now it’s on another invoice. The first time they came out to install all the shutters(minus the three) they ripped out the old shutters without cutting the caulk and taking out drywall with it. Upon completion of “all”, one couldn’t be installed because of incorrect measuring, they failed to seal the shutters with caulk. I’m at my wit’s end with these people. By the way, we started this process in June, it’s now October. To be continued...
UPDATE: It’s now November 20th and the job is still not complete. The final two shutters were installed, on two different occasions not one as planned, anyway, the sunburst shutter was over cut and even the manufacture of it wasn’t polished. So they had to come back to fix it and let it dry to come back again. Still waiting for them to come back to fix it. Gigi offered to take $50 off the last $417 but I still haven’t seen that in writing. Especially since I’ve been asked to pay the $417 when the job still wasn’t complete. I see that the nameless owner offers an apology that costs them nothing. Obviously one would have doubts with this experience in future warranty work. This continues…

This has been, without a doubt, one of the worst experiences we have ever had. We ordered our shutters back in May, and after the initial installation in July, the installers, albeit very stoned at the time, realized they did not have 2 of our shutters. Since this initial install, we have had this company out 5 times to install these 2 shutters but they are still not correct. Our notes seem to get lost or overlooked every time the shutters are sent back to the production warehouse and come back unchanged and incorrect.

Sadly, they will never get a referral from me or our friends or family.

If you are looking for roller shades or shutters you will not be disappointed with Sun devil shutters. Excellent customer service and a beautiful product. This is my second purchase with Sun devil and again they did a beautiful job.

Sun Devil Shutters did our entire home. The 4” plantation shutters are gorgeous. The installers were precise, really nice, careful, clean. We have owned several homes around the USA and not one shutter company did the wonderful work Sun Devil did. Your search has ended! Use Sun Devil! After sale service is outstanding, too. Had a slat come loose and they were here fast to fix it. Terrific company.

My wife and I have been wanting shutters in our house for years. The price is what always kept us from pulling the trigger. We looked at Home Depot, Lowe’s, and even Costco. One of my wife’s friends recommended Sun Devil Shutters. I have to be honest, I was skeptical when the salesman, Doug showed up and gave us a price 40% less expensive than even Costco. I voiced that concern and Doug invited me to tour their factory in Phoenix. Their showroom was very nice, with several different examples. Doug took me on a tour of the Factory and I was impressed. I decided right there we would give them our business. 5 weeks later, the installation team showed up and completely transformed our house. I was amazed at how fast the old blinds were taken down and the shutters were put up. They even filled the holes left by the blinds and disposed of them. I wish I could give Doug and the entire Sun Devil Company 10 stars. Thank you Sun Devil!

Long overdue, this is my experience. Had a very bad experience with this company. Shutters do not align properly. Wrong order for a window in one of the rooms. They said will order new one which never happened, they said will fix the alignment never happened. They sent like 5 teams to check the alignment even after explaining clearly what the issue, every time new guy. After getting serious they finally sent their owner who agreed the issue and said would fix it, they called to schedule a day and I requested for another as that was Holidays time and after that never got back. I still owe them but since the work is greater than what I owe they ignored it. Very bad customer service, some very bad team who came to install. They just tried to install wrong shutter when it clearly doesn’t fit, after me complaining the guy called office that it’s not fitting and took new measurements and they delivered after two weeks. They say American manufactured company as to woo people but worst than Chinese built craftsmanship. Overall a frustrating experience during COViD as they sent so many inexperienced people to solve the issue and it was a risk allowing them inside.

I contacted Sun Devil Shutters on the first week of January. Recently purchased a home and wanted something nice. I had already received 3 other quotes going from $9,000 to $12,000+. I met a middle aged man named Doug, he seemed like a really nice guy and unlike some of the others who came before him he actually measured every window to be safe. We told him what we were looking for so he pulled out a calculator figured the price to be $6400+ for 22-24 windows. Before I could say anything he asked if I wanted to pay taxes, which I responded lowest possible price is always appreciated. He than rounded down the purchase to $6,000 even for real wood shutters. At this point I'm talking it over with my significant other and before I could say yes he also threw in plastic blinds until the shutters were installed. We agreed on $6,000 for all windows except the bathrooms.

After I had signed he told me he would need a piece of my cabinets to match the color and when he came back for that he would bring the plastic blinds. No problem, we asked our builders for something and a few days later Doug came with enough window coverings to get two windows....keep in mind he originally offered full house but we thought for the price we couldn't complain.

Month goes by and we were excited about our shutters so we told a family friend who also just purchased a home that they should look into Sun Devil Shutters like we did. That's when our opinion of them got a little more worried. We texted and called Doug who responded as if we were annoying him in which we thought we were helping. He told us to just call the office. Okay no big deal, he must not be commission based. We called left a voice mail for the office and waited for our shutters.

Install day we get two very nice but very young, potentially under the age of 18 young, hispanic workers come to our home who do a install that leaves to be desired. There were small scratches and dings in the wood but also the paint seemed wet still though also very dirty. We waited for them to leave and even after them cleaning the shutters, once we had asked, we still noticed very dirty shutters. The worst part though is there was three shutters missing. When we brought this up to the installers they told us they would tell the office and they would call us to take care of it. They apologized and assured me they would most likely give a discount for the inconvenience. We still feel like we got a deal at this point and said we aren't looking for that just to make it right and we look forward to that call. Its almost 5pm now and still no call so we call. Inform them of the issues and they assure us they will make it right.

A week or so goes by and we get a phone call saying the guys will be out there to install the missing three shutters and the balance is $127. We informed them we have already paid and they said that unfortunately no Doug didn't right on the paper those three shutters and they will only honor the paper. We of course disagree to which they inform us that we are not just going to get free shutters sir! *Rude Tone* I explain if I paid $6,000 how in the world is it free? They stick to their guns and tell us to take it or leave it. Well we already had 20+ windows with these shutters so not a whole lot of choice so we say fine. They tell us two weeks which they will put a rush order on.

RAN OUT OF CHARACTERS SO TO WRAP UP: They came with broken ones, left them there, came two weeks later to pick them up to start working on them. All the while we are getting one excuse over another and us explaining the charge should be voided. At the end of April, finally installed new ones and gave us a $27 discount for the inconvenience. That's less than 0.005% Off. Simply they will tell you anything to sell you. ANYTHING!

We are still waiting on ‘forgotten’ shutters and shutters they damaged during install. They have no-showed twice now, and when we call, they say they will have someone call us back, just to not call us back. I do not recommend using this company at all. I honestly am very surprised at their rating! I posted about this company on the neighborhood app, and I had other neighbors say they experienced the similar things with this company. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau since we still haven’t received the product we paid for, and who knows if we ever will at this point.

Purchased shutters for entire house. Did custom staining and custom paint. You can’t find comparable products for twice the price. Courteous and professional installers. Had issues with one unit. Yes, they had to make several trips on the one shutter. It was a tricky measurement and properly resolved.

Having been in design business I can attest you won’t find a better product.

Just met with Doug for a quote. Great experience. Doug was fast, efficient and on time. Quoted price is unbeatable. Can't wait for the install of my plantation shutters. Already know it's going to look amazing. Vet friendly company.

Great service, quick installation, and unbeatable warranty. If anything ever goes wrong with the shutters they will be right out to make the repairs. Be sure to ask for Doug when you call for an estimate. Their pricing is untouchable.

Very impressed with the quality and service from Sun Devil Shutters. From our first phone call and having Ken come out and measure to the professional installation from Tony and Andre. Excellent!! Tony was extremely impressive and meticulous !! Along with being knowledgeable, professional and friendly he did a great job!! Excellent sales and pricing. Terrible communication and installation. 3 trips and they still cannot get every window installed. They have delayed on me 3 times now on our cathedral window. If they ever get this last window done I might rate 4 stars.

Edit: managed to get some $ off the balance of the last window after speaking with them. Also got explanations for delays which were not offered before. Much appreciated. Up to 4 stars.

I was referred to this company by my neighbor who had shutters recently installed and she was highly satisfied. I called and was scheduled for an estimate that did not cost me anything! Mr. James was nice and very informative w/ every question I had. I had installers out to my place a month later to install and I could not be happier with the end result! They were a little late to my installation but they were very apologetic and had the shutters installed in no time!

Shutter was finished in timeframe quoted. Sergio and Raul arrived on time as scheduled for installation. They were professional and courteous during the visit. Both gentleman protected my property from damage while installing the shutter. I highly recommend Sun Devil Shutters and will recommend to others in the market for great window coverings.

Ok, for those of you that want quality looking Shutters at a competitive price look no further, you will be just as satisfied as I am ! My daughter used them for the shutters in her house, my mother used them for shutters, so I decided to use them also. I had them fabricate and install 16 shutters, in three phases. 3 the first year, 6 the second year and finished the last 7 Shutters on 10/19/19. We were very pleased with all of the shutters on all three installs ! Install was scheduled for 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, Raul, Sergio and Able were here right at 11:00 am, they were very professional and did a quick and clean install, they were out of here in about 40 minutes ! Thanks guy’s, you rocked it with us !

After checking out many other companies we were referred to Sun Devil Shutters from our neighbor. Raul and Sergio were our installers and they are the best ever. They were professional and very friendly. Thank you both for the excellent job done. We absolutely love our shutters

I just had shutters installed yesterday and I am more pleased than I thought I could be with these shutters! They are a nice upgrade to any home and you cannot beat the wholesale prices! I will definitely be ordering more soon for the rest of my bedrooms. Thank you to the installers who were very professional and did a fantastic job with installation.

I just got my shutters installed today. These guys know what their doing to say the least! From our first appointment with the Sales Rep to the installation today, I'm more than happy (and I paid $700 LESS than my neighbor with the same house, lol) Great job guys and I will be sending you plenty of business.

We've installed custom shutters in all our homes over the years so we know a quality shutter, as well as what to expect at a minimum from the company. And just so you know how serious we are about our experience with Sun Devil Shutters we actually joined Google to post this review! From the very first telephone call with Kate in Customer Service, who by the way defines every definition of great service, answering every question with expertise and willing to help attitude! To Ken, the owner, who personally measures all the jobs, and incidentally has over 30+ years in the business plus he's just an all-around great guy! Right down to the installers ~ this was an A+++ experience! So, don't waiver if you're serious about installing shutters. Sun Devil Shutters knows exactly what has to be done to put beautiful, quality shutters on your windows + you'll be supporting a local business!

We saw the owner on a local morning tv program. We called the company and the sales manager Ken came to our house that day. We were able to order our shutters that day. When the blinds were ready they called to set an install date. We had Raul and Sergio. Raul explained the process and taught us how to use the shutters and even helped us with an existing shutter we were having a problem with. OUTSTANDING! Customer service. I would buy more shutters but all of my windows have them. Thank you for a great expierence. Money well spent.

Good product terrible service. Very curious why they don't go by the name on the receipt which is custom shutters and blinds. Rescheduled on me 3 times, and tried to do a 4th but forced them to come after work hours.

Their front desk is abysmal. They called and left a voicemail saying they had to reschedule me the first time and they would come out Monday. When I called them back, and asked to confirm appointment, Nathan said if that's what they told you on the voicemail then I would assume that correct and ended the call with me.

Just did the front of the house windows (partial cause they had wrong measurements) , will be going to another company for the rest of the house. Thank god I didn't order the entire house from them!

Update: they had to reschedule me AGAIN due to wrong measurements of the arch and cathedral style shutter.

Update: still no call from these guys. Decided to dispute with credit card as this company refuses to communicate with their customers

Just as an FYI, most other reviews are fake on here. Don’t be fooled!

From beginning to end my experience has been absolutely amazing! Adan helped in making my decision to get shutters very comfortable and easy. The installation went quick and easy and all three gentleman made it a smooth transition. Especially with the amount of windows I had. Raul, Sergio and Andre did absolutely stellar.

We hired Sun Devil Shutters to install their products in our entire home, The price is good, the overall quality of their product is acceptable. Their service is terrible. It has taken 6 trips to our home to complete what was to have required 1 trip and two hours of our time. They have made too many errors for me to list. If you decide to use them, request they include liquidated penalties if they fail to complete the install on their first attempt. I wish I had.

BEAUTIFUL shutters at wholesale prices! I was skeptical at first because of how low the prices are compared to other shutter companies that had given me an estimate, so I visited their location to see first hand that they do manufacture their own shutters locally here in Phoenix. After getting a tour of their office and warehouses, I was comfortable placing an order for my home. And now three weeks later they are installed and I am very excited to have people see my new home w/ shutters.

Sun Devil Shutters were Top Notch from beginning to end! Ken did our in home estimate and measurements...super nice guy! Raul and Rafael did expert install! Two efficient, and tidy, guys those two!!! Me and my Husband were looking to get a plantation shutter for one window in the front of our house, thinking we would purchase each window individually, knowing how expensive Plantation Shutters could be. But the prices were so good we ordered FOUR the first time around! The Shutter Pro who came out to give us the estimate was polite and was highly knowledged in what he was doing. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for Plantation Shutters, you cannot beat the price!

I got my clear view shutters from Sun Devil Shutters for the whole house. At first, I was a little concerned since there are different company names attached to their phones numbers and some with bad reviews. Since a friend of mine had good experiences and she knew someone else who did, I thought I would give them a try especially because the price was really good. When I called Nathan, he was able to explain the different names and why there were some reviews that weren’t so good. He was really great to work with and I love my shutters. I had I believe 22 shutters installed and Raul, Sergio, and Andre were amazing. One of the shutters was hinged wrong but they got that taken care of rather fast. I am glad I went with Sun Devil Shutters despite my initial concerns.

Terrible service, terrible workers, Terrible office people. Product brought to home had warped doors, wrong sizes and stuck louvers that won’t open. Several visits and never done right. Forgot panels needed. Never on time and we’re very dissatisfied with entire job! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

*Update: I called around lunch time on the 11th and it's now the 17th @ 8:40PM. Also, I find it interesting that 90% of their reviews are exactly 3 months old and a few of them gave rave reviews for Signature Shutters at the same time? Fake reviews? I think so.

*Original post: I called 2 days ago and spoke to young lady that shouldn't be talking with potential customers and I'm still waiting for someone to call and schedule an in home estimate.
