I love to share positive reviews and it sometimes hard to do so. But I just had my irrigation system replaced by Ryan and his crew. They did a fantastic job. My original quote was never changed. The men were on time. They worked diligently and cleanly. You couldn’t even tell they had touched all of the rock covering when they were done. Ryan explained the timer and checked every place they placed a sprinkler head and assured me they were all working. I feel very grateful that I picked this place of business!

Richard's Garden Center was a place of wonderment! I found that there were endless varieties of trees fruiting and non fruiting in different sizes. I loved that there was a good amount of shade from trees planted on property, this also provided some extra perspective as well. I really liked the banana trees. There were grapes, peach, plum, mulberry, apple, citrus, apricot, pear, fig, pomegranate, mango and more fruiting trees. They appeared to be in very good health. I took note of a pretty nice looking Mexican Sycamore and I will definitely be coming back for 2. They were a bit larger for my SUV. ?
There is more info on their Facebook page and you can reach out by message with questions. Haley helped me out with all my questions and really was like a personal tour guide. I do not live so close to this nursery but I feel like the quality of product and people is an investment that will pay off in the long run. If your thinking of making the trip just do it, just leave me some Sycamore and Banana trees!

They are knowledgeable, friendly, affordable, and worth the drive. If you want to break out of the homogenization of the big box stores come here for a beautiful variety of healthy plants you won't find elsewhere.

We have used Richard's Garden center several times for repairs to our drip line or yard sprinkler system. We have worked with both Ryan and adam. I can't say enough good about these two technicians. They are easy to get hold of, are responsive to our needs, and make it out to the house within a couple of days or so. They are nice, understand what needs to be done and our time efficient. For me, the charges seem quite reasonable. I can recommend Richard's Garden center without hesitation.

I needed a small repair for my irrigation system of a 40 year old home. Adam was not only on time, but very communicative through the entire process until arrival. He provided estimates of what I called for, but also pointed out issues I didn’t even realize I had and provided supporting estimates. I am so thankful to have called this company and extremely happy with their results once I made my decision on what repairs to proceed with based in his knowledgeable advice. My entire irrigation system is working perfectly now and I wish I would have called them sooner. I will surely recommend this company to anyone I know and call them for any future needs. 10 stars awarded If I could! I am more than happy with their solutions and results.

If you can tell them what size, what color, and how much sun a spot gets... They'll show you the perfect plant for the area.

I was fortunate enough enough to have Ryan and crew completely redo my entire drip system in my yard. It works wonderfully well! I liked it so much I had Ryan return and change my lighting system to LED. He has since returned and done repairs on the general sprinkler system. He is always professional, courteous and on time!

Customer relationship skills are completely lacking, highly unprofessional and I will no longer be shopping at a business that has such little regard for their dedicated customers.
I have purchased 14 plants and 1 tree at Richards as well as 5 bags of their 'mulch'. I make the trip which is a ways from my home to spend my money at their independent business. Recently I took home a plant that when I got it home had not been watered for some time. It was bone dry to the bottom of the 5 gal container. I soaked it for a day before planting it, even then the soil all fell away from the roots and it went into shock. Weeks later I took my receipt and photos to Richards to ask them about it, “Paul” insinuated I was confusing the ailing plant with a plant I had purchased somewhere else? It couldn't have been one of theirs. Decided to give the plant more time to 'recover'. Two months past, went back again, this time spoke with “Adam”, (receipt and photos) as the plants seem to be dying more instead of getting better or staying somewhat the same. His response was “Anyone could come in with photos of a plant they got anywhere....just because you have a receipt”.....Another employee chimed in to say “once you take it home, we aren't responsible for how you plant it”. I have purchased many plants from them, this is the only one I've had an issue with yet they refused to take any ownership for the situation. Placed blame squarely on their 'assuming' I didn't know what I was doing. Though everything else I have is doing well, which I showed them photos of my other plants. Then Adam stated “Well, we can't just give you a new plant”. We are talking a $40. plant. After having spend as much money as I have at their store they had zero interest in keeping me as a customer! Twice they tried to infer I was trying to 'pull something' over them? Customer relationship skills are completely lacking, highly unprofessional and I certainly will not be going back to Richards. Nor recommending them, also will make a point of sharing my experience with every person I can.

Adam installed a sprinkler and drip system in our backyard. He designed it to perfectly meet the needs of our trees, grass, and potted plants. He has done excellent work at a very reasonable price. We highly recommend him!

Ryan came out to fix our irrigation system on Memorial Day. He explained everything clearly so we could make an informed decision about how we wanted to proceed. It didn't take long for him to do the work. He also made a helpful suggestion for watering times. When he left, everything was neat and looked even better than when he arrived. We were very pleased.

I absolutely LOVE this place! We shop here for our plants, our fruit trees, our souls, they are awesome! I love the workers too! They’re so nice, and so knowledgeable about each product. We just planted our first two fruit trees, and we received so much encouragement, and help. They even offered for us to call with any questions on planting, or if we needed help. I saw a review that someone wrote that Richards employees were unfriendly, and that is SO far from the truth. They are very kind, friendly, and passionate about their jobs, and helping others to enjoy the spirit of gardening. We definitely will always be customers!

Wonderful place with very knowledgeable staff. My wife and I spent three hours with their employees discussing our plans to create an orchard of our own in our backyard. We discussed soil composition, chill hours, micro climates and water needs then they sent us home with homework to help determine the best placement of the trees we were interested in. At no time did they pressure us to buy anything. Days later we returned and spent another 2 hours picking the perfect trees. Their customer service was absolutely outstanding.

I purchased several fruit trees and they are doing wonderfully and fruiting. I’m so happy. I love my Lemon Tree and The Orange Tree they sold me grew like crazy. Two people helped me today who were knowledgeable in the additional edible plants I wanted to buy and plant. Also, finally found some long awaited fruiting trees that I couldn’t seem to locate. This place is fantastic. I love supporting local businesses instead of going to home depot or Lowe's et cetera. A few days ago I bought a couple plants and now today I came back for mulch. their prices are very reasonable and the staff is so knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions

Ryan and Adam came out and repaired the sprinkler system in my front yard. They did such a good job I ended up having them install some new sod a few weeks later. Then again when one of my drip lines in the backyard broke they came out and fixed it for me. All I can say is these guys are the real deal — honest, knowledgeable, and fair. Very, very happy with everything they’ve done for me and will absolutely call them for anything in the future. Five stars.

I had a sprinkler emergency on a Saturday afternoon where I cracked a control valve and caused some minor flooding to my backyard. I was able to shut it off and reached out to Richard's Garden Center website. They immediately responded to my messages and arranged to come out first thing Monday morning. Ryan came out, assessed the problems and fixed everything. He explained what the issues were and gave us advice about maintaining our systems moving forward and it cost about half what I had anticipated. I will absolutely use Richard's again and will recommend them to my friends and family.

What an amazing experience we had today. After attempting to purchase at a different nursery and getting blown off, we decided to travel a bit further to Richards. We met with Paul and he spent almost 2 hours with us discussing all kinds of edible plant varieties. Not only did he have a wealth of knowledge but also took the time to help us figure out where to plant, how to amend the soil and sizes of each plant. I cannot express how much we enjoyed our time at this center today. This is definitely my new home base center for my back yard food garden. Well worth the drive and the customer service is absolutely unbeatable.

Great nursery. These guys know their stuff and their selection ofplantsand supplies is outstanding!! They can answer pretty much any questions you have with no b.s. or up selling. This is the only nursery I'll go to, even though it's a 45 minute drive for me to get there.

If I could give Ryan and Adam 10 Stars, I would.
I hired them to completely replace my irrigation system.
Their crew worked tirelessly. They worked on my job until it was complete; unlike other crews who you see in the morning and then they are off to another job in the afternoon. Everything Ryan told me he delivered on. No bait and switch. No shortcuts. I can be a fussy customer when I sense what I was promised was not being delivered. I am completely satisfied with the job they did.

I called to ask Richard's Garden Center for a design and quote for redoing my front yard. They were referred by another landscaping company I had contacted but they don't do the residential type of work I need. So, I called and Adam came out. Seemed nice enough and interested in the job but then I never heard back. I called to check and not sure who I talked to but he was obviously NOT interested. Guessing maybe a 4,000 to 5,000 dollar job isn't good enough for them. I'm mostly annoyed because they wasted my time that day and also had to start search for another company again. Guess it's good to find the negative about a company before hiring them though.

What an amazing place!!!! My daughter and I spent 2 hrs here this morning. Hailey was wonderful to talk to and very knowledgeable. We walked around and just enjoyed the grounds and left with a tree and veggies. We will be back for more with the truck next time. Perfect hidden gem of a nursery!

I bought Meyer lemon and loquat trees and both are in good condition greenish and healthy. The guy who helped was very helpful and collaborative through answering questions and honesty. I have lived in the Valley for 15 years and sadly I just found this awesome company. After I checked out the guy said “If you have any questions call us, even if you didn’t buy it from us. We want you to be successful.” He meant it to. Staff was incredibly knowledgeable and their prices are great. I’ll be going back to get some more passion fruit vines.

I booked a free estimate for several drip line repairs, including a line that ran under my driveway. Ryan was on time for the appointment, gave a quote and was ready to complete the repairs. I agreed. He did it quickly, showed my what what done (including having to remove and replace some pavers). Would recommend their service anytime!

Their selection of fruit trees is incredible! And they do a lot of their own Arizona local varieties. It's hard to find anything that hasn't been shipped in from Cali but many of their plants are born right here in AZ. By far my favorite nursery in the Phoenix area.

It was nice it was pretty kind of organic like the plants some plants were they had in the ground they weren't selling those of course but it was like a natural environment there are plants that they did have a lot of more really mature so it's not like just a little sprouter something that you're gonna be taking home you had a really healthy mature plant and there were a full few plants there that I've never seen at other nursery so yeah they are a great little place to go

Thank you, Ryan Miller and Adam, for speedy response when I discovered a leak in my sprinkler system line and called for help. Adam scheduled a same day, early afternoon arrival window. Ryan called in good time telling us that he was on his way, arrived and located the rather difficult to find spot of the leak in the sprinkler system line and fixed it. Second time that Ryan helped out at our property and I can only say thank you for prompt response, excellent service and reasonable price.

This place great! The staff is exceptional and super helpful. Lauren is very knowledgeable and gave me some great ideas to help my potted Agave murpheyi survive in Colorado. The cheerful dude with the coffee mug (maybe this is Richard?) was also cool to chat with and talk bonsai. Speaking of bonsai, they have a nice little selection of pre-bonsai at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

I toured their sheds and workshops there. The staffer (sorry I forgot her name. Young girl with blonde hair) was professional and got me setup with an online account so I could customize a shed. She insured I had the information I needed. We then toured through the Nursery itself and all the staff was helpful.

Huge selection of plants, pretty much everything that grows here from desert to tropicals, edible to ornamental, small bonsai to giant specimen trees, veggies to flowers. I even picked up a healthy henna plant there and it's thriving. The guys are super nice and helpful plus they really understand our growing conditions. Worth the drive from anywhere in the Phoenix metro area. I drive there from Tempe!

These guys have a really big place and tons of variety. I would guess 20 acres of trees and plants. They have everything from desert to tropical. I think their prices are as good as anyone. Unlike many places in town, they actually know about the plants and trees they are selling.

This place is NOW called Garden City and ALL the trees and bushes were in TERRIBLE condition. It looked run down and most of the trees had grown out of their boxes and directly into the ground. The prices were VERY scattered and the guy helping us, asked us where in the valley were located because certain trees don't grow due to the temperature....Once we provided our zip code, the prices were out of this world stupid high. We left shortly left and will NEVER return!

not the most honest folks, they discribed a tree and gave me a price and when I showed up the only tree left not marked sold was less than one third the size of the other trees and they wanted full price and they claimed all the other trees were sold even though I called the same morning I came in on so big time bait and switch ,
