OakCraft Elegant Cabinetry

We’ve been in our Shea home 3 years and these are the worst cabinets. If you’re building a new home and they use oakcraft I would RUN!! all my cabinet were “fixed” under warranty and now they just keep getting worse and worse. I asked them for the “Crayon” they used to fill the dents and scratches and I was told they don’t sell it… REALLY?? After spending this much money on cheap cabinets I can even buy that?? The edges of my cabinets are turning white I would have liked to color it in. NOW my biggest issue is my bathroom cabinets and vanity cabinets are SOOO discolored, they’re turning gray/white and guess what?? I’m out of warranty.

Horribly installed kitchen cabinets with gaps at almost every corner/seam and crooked doors. Have called to schedule service 3 times (each a month or 2 out) only to have an inexperienced kid arrive each time with caulk that didn’t come close to matching. They typically attempt 1 or 2 items and leave. 4th attempt is tomorrow.

The tech that came out this past visit was the best so far. He was able to fix most of the seams but had to order a new door and shelf. I’d greatly appreciate if he was the one to install when they arrive.

We just had a gentleman from OakCraft Cabinetry customer support come to our house regarding a problem with our cabinets. He was very competent and respectful. I wish more customer support people were like him.

If I could give them less than 5 stars, I would. We bought a new house that was NEVER lived in but because we were the 2nd owners (original owners never occupied) they will not take care of 9 totally warped cabinet doors. Called Oakcraft and they absolutely refused to help out. Craftsmanship is terrible, customer service is NON EXISTENT. If your home builder is using Oakcraft….WALK AWAY!

Received below response from Oakcraft - see how they blame the homeowner for warped doors that they installed and say their doors apparently warp after being climatized. Terrible, Terrible company!!!! Non transferable warranty for owners who NEVER occupied home. Warped doors were diagnosed by a cabinet company that they sent us to to fix things on our own dime! Just a way to get away with not doing the right thing! Shame on you Oakcraft. Have filed an ROC complaint and BBB complaint, and will continue to speak of our negative experience to ANYONE who will listen!

We bought Oak Craft cabinets for our whole kitchen after our total interior remodel. Cabinets showed up damaged and with incorrect parts. It took a couple of MONTHS to even get them to come and look at the damage, and promises were made to do repairs and replace the incorrect parts. That was about 4 months ago. No replies to emails. Apparently after they have your money they are done with you. Next stop: Better Business Bearau. UPDATE: Yes, you DO sell directly to customers. You're not supposed to, because it violates your agreement with your dealers, but you still do it. Since leaving this review, I have actually spoken to current employees that have really opened my eyes to this company's practices. They pay their employees and family members to write positive reviews. A YEAR after writing this review our cabinets have still not been repaired or replaced, and Oak Craft does not respond to emails or phone calls.

Wonderful people and excellent quality. The warrantee was more than reasonable. Solid Maple, dovetail joints great detail the paint is perfect and baked on making them easy to clean. Excellent experience.

Problems left and right. My husband and and I decided to use oak craft in our new home. The craftsmanship is far from consistent. Our cabinets were installed in Jan. They showed up with numerous missing pieces, or things built wrong. Our cabinet for the double oven is built wrong so our ovens did not fit. They made changes to our order without confirming them with us. If that wasn’t already frustrating, getting replacement pieces has been never ending. We have received some replacements that were the wrong color, replacement pieces that we didn’t ask for... The list goes on. 4 months into this and we have yet to have everything corrected. Moving into our new custom home with unfinished cabinetry is a huge disappointment. The poor craftsmanship and customer service on their end is far from exciting. I would not recommend this company. We have worked incredibly hard to be able to build a home for our family. I really wanted it to be great and it’s been the biggest disappointment in the entire process of building a home.

I’m response to oakcraft responding saying they didn’t quit till everything was resolved. This is false. You had a rep come out multiple times who was unable to adjust the cabinets to function properly, and touched up multiple cabinets paint which are now peeling and discolored. They have continued to fall apart. The existing problems have gotten worse and it was NOT resolved.

We were very impressed with Gabriel Duran. He came out and adjusted our cabinets. He was very professional, on time and had great customer service. Thank you Gabriel.

I have been in my new Shea home for just over a year and have dealt with poorly done crowns, warped doors, self closers that don't, and inconsistent staining. I also suffered through workers who had no idea what they were doing.

I have also suffered through many appointments to fix these issues. I sat one full day with a tech that had no idea how to cut a crown molding. He had about thirty linear feet to replace a 5 foot section. He used all thirty feet and failed to piece in the messed up section. HE WAS AT MY HOUSE ALL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!! He apologized because they only gave him one battery and he had to keep recharging it. They had to order more crown molding to get the job done... another appointment months down the road. On the final appointment the tech came out with a replacement door for a warped, discolored door that was worse than the one it was to replace. I told the tech as politely as I could that I was done with OakCraft cabinets. I told him to take the door and leave.

I could go on and on but I will never do business with a builder that uses OakCraft as their cabinet provider.

Thank you Oakcraft for sending Gabriel Duran to install my cabinet door that has been missing since I purchased my house. Not only did he do a perfect installation job, he went out of his way to add the doorstop devices to the other cabinets that were hitting the walls. That’s what I consider good service. Thank you Gabriel.?

Run from this company!!!!! Installed cabinets and forgot the shelves. I moved into my home on March 31 and they were notified. That they forgot the shelves. It is May 2nd and I have received the worst customer service! I was promised two weeks ago that today would be the latest that the shelves would be installed. I still cannot get a response from the customer service representative Erica and when I dealt with her manager Caroline she was not any better. They clearly do not stand by their work and do not care about your experience as a consumer. I would pick ANY other cabinetry company over them!!!!

Gabriel Duran is a great guy & did a great job fixed everything perfectly and went above and beyond his duties. Oakcraft is very lucky to have him as an employee!!!!

Though we have had multiple issues with our new Oakcraft cabinets(mostly drawer issues), Gabriel , the Oakcraft tech that has come out to correct them is awesome. Not only is he an excellent craftsman, he has great customer service traits. He always respects our time keeping us informed on when he will arrive. He is a great ambassador for Oakcraft.

However, given my recent experiences with the office Customer Service Dept, I must reduce my stars. Repeated calls for a non-warrantee issue have resulted in zero return calls. The last one was to their CS Manager and still no response. I have to say, I agree with other reviews that their Customer Service needs significant attention and training on how to respond to customers.

Desiree with Oak craft came out and she had to remove 6 cabinet doors that had previously been replaced that required re-painting. She tried to touch up the doors but didn’t have the right equipment with her. So with that said, we rescheduled and she went through the process again. Everything was masked off and or covered as not to get over spray on anything in the garage where she was working. The cabinet doors turned out great! Desiree was very energetic, personable, professional and has a great personality. I’d recommend having her do any touch up or full on painting for you. Thanks Desiree.

A company's level of service either shines or quickly fades when there are hurdles to overcome in the process, and OakCraft came through with flying colors in our situation. Without going into too many details, OakCraft's team took care of us, even when some of the issues were not created by them. That tells you what kind of company they are. Their service was exceptional and their team was responsive to our needs. My wife and I would definitely go with OakCraft again!

We had Oakcraft out to our new house to refinish the espresso cabinets in master bath and kitchen. Spencer came out and looked at all our cabinets inside and out and found a crack, which they replaced the whole door. Desiree came out to refinish all our cabinets to desired color consistency. I cannot say enough about her. She worked in the shop for a few years and her experience showed! She did excellent work, took her time to make the customer happy. I am very pleased. Desiree was a very nice lady, enjoyed having great customer service in my home.

Gabriel had called ahead of time today to confirm his appointment and was very thorough. Another appointment has to be set up to take care of this issue.

We had all our kitchen cabinets replaced during a remodeling last year and the quality of the cabinets was worth the expense. However, over time the wood shrank some and exposed the lighter raw wood against the dark cafe' stain of the doors. We attempted to remedy this with the Contractor who installed the cabinets, but the stain touch up kits provided were inadequate. Although it took some time negotiating with the Contractor they arranged for Oak Craft to send a technician to our home to address the issue. Desiree showed up to day and we couldn't be happier with her professionalism and the quality of her work. She wore a face mask, and not tracking in dirt by wearing shoe covers. She explained what she would do including using a spray lacquer which might leave a temporary odor. She taped and covered surfaces adjacent to areas being sprayed. She was meticulous in applying stain to the exposed wood in the door panels and while applying the spray lacquer. Oak Craft is extremely fortunate to have Desiree as their representative because she has great communication and technical skills. Thank you Oak Craft for correcting the shrinkage issue we were experiencing.

OakCraft has been a great company to work for. They've been very supportive of me throughout my career and have provided the tools necessary to succeed. I've learned many things here. I love our culture and enjoy the team I work with daily :)

We purchased our brand new home from Blanford 5 years ago, the home came with cabinets from Oak Craft. During this time we have reported multiple issues with the cabinets finish, they have been chipping, and showing mis coloration from early stages of owning the home. We have addressed this with Oak Craft on multiple occasions and have been met with unreturned calls and unsatisfactory customer service. Oak Craft finally set an appointment to send a customer service representative to our house to investigate our complaints on 5/6/21. He evaluated our cabinets and the discoloration, abnormal wear and tear and improperly finish. He then informed us he would take it back to the company and his recommendation would be they refinish the cabinets. After multiple unreturned calls to Oak Craft on 7/16/21, we were told our claim was denied. We understand that our cabinets are out of the standard warranty, but we have made multiple claims during the warranty time and the craftsmanship in the repairs were rushed and consisted of shoddy workmanship.

We built our home in Sun City Festival and moved in last November. We had issues with our cabinets prior to moving in and Spencer was on top of it! He made sure the adjustments and corrections were taken care of. After we moved in, we had some additional issues with the finish so we called to schedule an appointment. Again Spencer was here right away to document the problems and we were on the schedule to have them taken care of. Wednesday, February 26th, Desiree called to say she was on her way to correct the issues. She was so careful to cover and tape everything prior to the repairs, was so pleasant and did a great job! Desiree also said to call with any questions or additional problems and they would be sure to take care of them! As business owners ourselves, we understand and value good employees!! You have two wonderful people working for you and should consider yourselves lucky!!! Thank you Klaus and Karla Perkins

Championship Team! I love that everyone wants to play on the top team. Together we are always looking for a better way; to take care of customers and each other. The work is challenging and rewarding but we have the tools to do the job and we trust each other to make it happen. Most rewarding place I have worked, I would not trade my team for anything.

Scheduled maintenance today between 8am and noon. It is now 1:18pm. No call, no show. I took unpaid time off for this.

Horrible customer service. They expect us to accommodate them, even though they're the ones who failed US. What kind of company fails to communicate with their customers, or make it right? They should work around our available hours since they dropped the ball!! If I could give them zero stars I would.

I have OakCraft in multiple rooms in my home and absolutely love the product! I redid my pantry, laundry room, and window seat. The cabinets are beautiful and I'm thrilled with the quality! The service was also exceptional. I have white painted cabinets that turned out great. I highly recommend them to everyone I show them to.

Update April 20th 2021.
Customer service responded to this review asking I email them. I did, no response. The installers came back again today with the replacement cabinet door, in the right color but with the wrong holes drilled. Perhaps the 5th time will be the charm with Oakcraft? The poor field installers have no control over this, or so it seems, the issues seem to be all HQ. Either way, I still recommend avoiding this company like the plague. I can't believe Toll Brothers uses them as their preferred cabinet maker....

Look elsewhere if you are looking for timely service. I've had 2 mismatched cabinet doors for over a year, multiple trips to our house from Oakcraft with the wrong color or wrong size cabinet door. They even took one of our doors to match the color but can't even do that. They installed these cabinets as part of our custom home build by Toll Brothers. I hope if you are having a home built by Toll or working with Oakcraft, you have a better experience than we did. I'll look elsewhere in the future for my cabinet needs. If they see this and care enough to fix this, 12 months later, I'll update the review.

From start to finish - a great experience. From the owner, to the designer, to the installation. A perfect experience! I am so happy with the design of the cabinets and the quality is above the competition! Thank you so much for all your help and for making this a wonderful experience. We are so happy with our new kitchen!

We had Bill Jensen and Gabe Duran out for a service call on our newer house. Bill went above and beyond to provide outstanding customer service. He was professional, friendly, VERY knowledgable, and taught me many tricks and tips to keep my cabinets looking in tip-top shape. I haven't experienced this level of satisfaction with a business in quite some time. Gabe was shadowing Bill to take over when Bill retires. He also seems like he's going to be a top notch employee. We purchase OakCraft cabinetry for our new home in July, 2019. After a while we noticed one of the cabinet drawers was unfinished. As soon as OakCraft was contacted they sent service tech Bill Jensen out to address the problem. Not only did Bill take care of the drawer, but he noticed other minor issues and addressed them too. He also advised us on care and maintenance. He was professional, timely, had great advice, and friendly.

I work for my families remodeling company, Mariano & Co LLC. We specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodels in the East Valley and we became an Oak Craft dealer in January 2019. Ever since our initial walk through at the factory with Charles Bearman & Kim Evans, we have been thoroughly impressed with Oak Craft. The processes and procedures they have in place were impressive enough, but Charles & Kim have been extremely helpful and ALWAYS answer the phone when we need help. We are honored to be an Oak Craft dealer and thankful to be partnered with them. Thank you, Oak Craft, for all you do!

Let the buyer be aware -- T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E customer service! If you have a problem with their cabinets, they are unwilling to help solve it. No wonder many of their dealers have either gone out of business or dropped the product line.

The response from the owner (see below) came over a year after my original post.
We bought a house in Scottsdale 2 years ago that had Oak Craft cabinets in the kitchen. The paint has been chipping and I tried to get some touch up paint. The first 3 dealers listed on the website were either out of business or no longer carried the products.
So I stopped into the factory / offices after playing golf in the area. The customer service supervisor / manager told me that they would not sell me some paint directly nor would she help me find a local dealer who would order it for me. She said for me to just keep calling the dealers listed until I found one who would help me.

Dear Mr. Owner -- that is not the kind of customer service that you should be proud or nor brag about. I stand by my original post that you have T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E customer service!

My wife is in love with her taupe cabinets. Thank you Gabriel Duran for the minor repairs on our bathroom cabinet. You were fast and efficient. Oak Craft is lucky to have you..

I have worked as a finisher for years very experienced at all matters involving wood. This company is the worst company at cabinets period. The best cabinets they do is for family only.... Ebony wood special stain for the owner Adler particle board for customers. Use the cheapest paint possible and sell for a lot more money. The equipment used in the facility is far from state of the art. Any cabinet company is better. Worst rip off in Arizona. Highest quality? No! The assembly line is not state of the art I have seen the dirty dusty shop so don't know what the owner is talking about.? Not an open door what a joke

Do not work for these people. I now know 3 people who have took jobs there, and this place is ran poorly, bad communication, lots of people who do not speak English, how is it that a product cost so much, when using the cheapest labor you can possibly get? The three people I know who worked there basically left because they could not speak Spanish with co workers, who knew no English.. except for managers who speak english, Or temp workers occasionally were hired and luckily they knew some Spanish to help others that didn't. When training new employees put them with English speaking trainers...

The worst vendor I have ever used!! Their glaze on the cabinets started chipping off within a month of getting them. After the company I purchased the cabinets did several touch ups, Oak Craft refused to fix them. I have tried to have a few other companies come refurbish them but they won't take the job. Unfortunately, I haven't had the funds to replace them. To get past the embarrassment when I have parties, I set out a sign that says Oak Craft work at its finest. I just hope that I have help others from making the mistake I did.

Have Oakcraft cabinets purchased in 2010 and have a problem with one pantry drawer guide. Original supplier no longer deals with Oakcraft so sent me to factory. Factory told me to go to a current supplier as cabinets are over 10 years old. Contacted current supplier but not happy about runaround.

I have worked at Oakcraft for 7 months. I love this company they are caring and kind. I love my job and am thankful that I work for such a Terrific Family Owned Company.
I work with very knowledgeable and helpful people. The Cabinetry is lovely and very high quality!
Oakcraft is AMAZING?

I used these wonderful, high quality cabinets in my kitchen remodel 6-7 years ago. I really liked the fact that they were fabricated locally and the factory folks were really top knotch. They still look as beautiful today as they did the first day. However, today is also the first day I had to find a repair person for the pull drawer I use umpteen thousand times a day :(

I have several defective doors on the cabinets and a couple of drawers that do not close properly, which they have come out to correct twice and they still do not close correctly.They took a door to to one of the cabinets to match the color of the ones they are redoing and it has been over a month since they took it. At this point I just want my door back! The quality is just not what I expected of a Robson home.

These cabinets have been a nightmare to get right. For the price you pay they should be solid wood but are not. The soft close drawers took months to get corrected but the deep drawers for pans in the kitchen still do not close properly. This is the company that David Weekley Homes use but stay away if possible. The only positive thing I can say is that Richard tried his best to get our cabinets corrected.

I purchased Oakcraft cabinets a little over a year ago and after about 6 months, the paint (white) started chipping. My trash cabinet door looks the absolute worst and probably about 10-15% of the cabinets have some form of chipping. I contacted Oakcraft and asked about their warranty. They said that I would have to go back to the retailer that I purchased the cabinets from and file a claim through them. The problem was that the retailer went out-of-business. I ended up calling a few other retailers to see if they could help me out and they did get me in touch with someone that installs the cabinets and ultimately, he provided me with a can of the spray paint they use for their touch-ups. So I'm giving this rating because of the warranty (lack there-of) and essentially the cabinets just not holding up to normal use. I would not buy these cabinets nor would I recommend them to anybody.

Just had Gabriel Duran out for some warranty work. He was very polite and did a great job. Called and showed up when he said he would be here. 5 Star job!!!

Oakcraft has been a very comfortable place to work, Everyone is supportive and helpful. They have a lot of combined experience working in all areas of the company. I am proud to say I chose Oakcraft to continue my career.

Had great experiences with this company.....follow-up work needed after install and was done expertly.....tech provided lots of info on care and cleaning, etc. Hats off to Ron Bennett for the good work !
